Hello! For Rimworld kitties, is Abi supposed to be Akhari or a new baby kitty? Are there new baby kittens in the Rimworld kitties playthrough?

Abi is a new baby kitty, but he does take Akhari’s spot in this story yeah. Thing is, the mods between these two playthroughs aren’t exactly the same; Akhari and co were a kitty race, whereas the mod that gives this brood of obiyuki kitties their cat-like features are a set of gene mods instead of a race pack - if that makes any sense at all xD

Technically I -could- have changed the babies born to fit the old brood, but that would have been a lot of work!

I was just gonna do the adult timeline zelda but im so enchanted by the idea of these two versions of the same character. People always talk about how link would be changed but never zelda.

I do feel like these designs maybe portray the clearest arc out of all of them so far. I like that #some of it came from a bit of necessity which is really fun that mirrors the actual play format thats cool #(necessity being freshman year riz is pretty much a huge block of red flannel lmao. kinda stole figs canon color coding for a bit)#(and he's got the owlbear jacket from taping the games in sophomore year... so I cant give fig the big red blocking until #junior year lmao. coincidentally this forced me to be a bit more dynamic with her concept which is great)#her second pair of shoes very sonic tho. Okay I'm back on grinding out money pins in NEO (as you do) and I'm sorry was anyone going to tell me that the overpowered Gatto Nero pins are each named after a season and the flavor text says they're engraved with the words "seasons greetings"

Implying they were released as seasonal promotions, And, someone in the UG, who had access to pins, would be able to collect them, and be able to tell what time of year it was, perhaps important because their grasp of the passage of time is shaky, wherever they are. And perhaps they could read the pin, and be protected, not just by the power of the psychs, but by knowing that, somewhere, somewhere in the real world, the person who made the pin is trying to say hello?

Or was I supposed to notice on my own and come up with this elaborate headcanon on my own?

What's your opinion on Barriss and her story in Tales of the empire?

I liked it!! it was still a bit messy and needed more time or focus to work better, but it was LEAGUES better than morgan's episodes. my 2 pet peeves were "why was 4th sister 4th when she was clearly there before trilla (2nd) and reva (3rd)" (@just-prime pointed out they seem to have run out of inquisitor names LOL) and barriss' designs (partly cause head covering where???) or at least her inquisitor and episode 6 designs. both were so mid but i did a little sketchbook redesign of her inquisitor fit i watched it to heal myself

#basically my thoughts were this needs to feel more like a barriss outfit and it needs to be more distinct #bc her current one feels like Random Lackey Design compared to the incredible and unique quiz designs we've had before #(SHE IS STANDNG NEXT TO BIRDSKULL GUY LOOKIN THAT MID ??)#thoughts were keep the general outfit mostly the same but add in a hood and make the helmet FIT MORE WITH THE OTHER INQUISITORS #BC HER ONE LOOKED LIKE A BIONICLE #also i think this design works better narratively bc the hood suggests she's still a jedi (foreshadowing!)#but the sharper/ more cohesive helmet shows how shes still conforming w the other inquisitors #(which adds to the impact when she takes it off)#i think its wack how un-barriss the design was bc its not even like she was tortured into inquisiting (see: trilla) she just got gaslit #having her keep some of her prev elements would help the story AND her design #barriss offee #tales of the empire spoilers #outfit design #thanks for the ask!#sketchbook

the golden dragon zelda she only does the transformation for the final fight in the sky, here she is just after doing it chasing after 'ganondorf' to save link, she tackles and bites gan to make him let go of link

design notes:

(notes written here again for better reading) - horns are vaguely shaped like the hyrule crest - she has feathers and markings on the nose to reference owls - green mouth to switch the colors around (and neat contrast), bc gan has a blue mouth, zelda now has green, and if link ever was a dragon hed have it red -markings on the head feathers are a reference to the lil things satori and rumi (blupee?) have on their head

WHAT?! Is the anniversary of Bionicle?

And here I am, without much to share visually AAAAAA BUT HEY! I decided to compile my fav bunch of art I did during those years of the Reboot/G2 that made me rediscover such a cool franchise (and the last artworks are two of the most modern ones).

Plus, I can really say that without these art experimentations, I wouldn't have developed so many of my modern rendering techniques!
