Fire Emblem 3 houses really should have just made Seteth the out right fourth lord of the routes. Like it's super annoying looking back at it how he's both important and yet not important to the Silver Snow route, when it's obvious that should be his route. He should also be shown more importance in the other 3 seeing as Azure Moon has us important to the church, Crimson Flower has El's bias(quote on quote for that cause she's blaming a whole race of people who were nearly genocided for the actions that only Rhea took) against the Nabateans, and Verdant Wind because that is literally the only route we get to fight Nemesis.

Hell, another idea would be to make Flayn the 4th official lord. And actually go deep into how a lot of this has affected her. Like we never get to see much of the two, and usually when we do it's is a big lore dump. Not that I don't like it and that they weren't written well, just that they could have been better.

Like have El question her ideals because she gets to know Flayn in Crimson Flower, or have her shit talk her and Seteth as they choose to side with Rhea.

Have Dimitri be able to interact more with Flayn, have her be the one to smack some sense into him because he's being stupid and won't let someone heal his wound after a battle. Have Seteth speak to him and it remind Dimitri of his father and him have either a freak out moment as he pictures Seteth as his dead dad or which I would prefer more, have him break down in front of him. Have him absolutely sobbing as Seteth holds him and comforts him like a father figure that he's desperately been needing.

Have Claude be more combative with Seteth. (He deserves more interactions with Seteth in my opinion) Have them bounce off each other on how very different their ideas are. Have Seteth actually been cornered by Claude into revealing history on himself and let the player choose who they side with more as points for whoever they side with. Heck you can even have this with Flayn but Claude being more sympathetic towards her as Flayn not only has supports with him, but also because Flayn is that freaking Charming!

Have Flayn actually see the damage that Rhea has done and question everything she knows. Give her actual rage moments, let her mature even more to where we could have her more cut throat and mirror El in SS. Or have that she shows resilience by keeping a smile on her face even when she's going through some of the worst stuff mentally. Let her show the leadership that is hinted at with her being Cethleann. Show the side of her that was a Saint that actually experienced War.

Have Seteth show that side of him. Show the actual power of a major crest and why they are sought after instead of the subtle things they do. Have Seteth be able to actually move the earth and summon vines and other things to his defence. Actually show his power of performing miracles just as his description says he can. Like an act of mercy that he can give to El when we fight her. Maybe even something that has why people follow him. Hell, show more of him actually talking to people cause that's what he's good at from seeing his supports.

These two deserve so much better than being left on the sidelines. They are literally some of the only survivors of a race that was nearly wiped out. That deserves more attention than what it gets. It's just so much wasted potential and story that we are never gonna get.

no but the thing is. they KISSED. on screen. it was a real scene, not deleted, not removed from a script, it HAPPENED in front of the world's eyes. and AND the actors are normal about it and the whole cast and crew is normal about it and it's not vague and it's IMPORTANT. no matter the rest of it and what came after it, it happened!!

Honestly, thinking about glasses the same way as I do any of my other accessibility devices really drives home how fucking weird people are about them.

Like, I'm trying to imagine going to a restaurant where my server takes my glasses off my face and says they're going to keep them for me "in a safe place" because that's just easier for everyone. But it's okay, because they'll be happy to read the menu for me if I can't read it myself!

That's kind of how I feel every time someone tries to take my cane/wheelchair from me "to get it out of the way" but then assures me they'll bring it back to me if I flag them down later.

Like I'm going to be fucked in a fire either way if someone has taken either my cane or my glasses so maybe don't do that! It's so invasive and unsafe. I don't want to have to wave down my server and ask permission to go pee! I don't want to have to rely on strangers when I do just fine with my accessibility devices!

And if you wouldn't reach onto someone's face and grab their glasses, don't touch their cane or wheelchair, either!

So what personality trait of his new regeneration is the Doctor mildly surprised by here? He doesn't sound shocked, but it seems to be enough of a difference to mention out loud. A lot of people seem to be interpreting the that as referring to being into guys. To be fair, I think that's how Donna understands it in her next line.

My understanding of the line is slightly different. Feeling attraction to men (along with other genders) is nothing new to the Doctor. Nine and Captain Jack Harkness kissed full on the lips onscreen! Look at any interactions between Ten and the Master. Consider that changing gender presentation is something that any Time Lord might do at any regeneration, so treating gender as a limiting factor in attraction wouldn't make sense for the Doctor.

No, what has changed is that Fourteen is the sort of person who will directly admit when he finds someone hot while gossiping with his BFF. Not brilliant, or fascinating, or even beautiful, but hot. That's what's new.

Possibly controversial opinion:

Morishige and Kizami would not like each other. They would tolerate each other, were they to meet outside of Heavenly Host, because Morishige tries his best to be personable and Kizami pretends to be normal, but neither of them are directly social enough to really get to know each other.

In the event that they somehow got close enough to each other to know each other more deeply, they still wouldn't. Kizami quite explicitly doesn't care about his supposed best friend and unambiguously hates his family, he certainly doesn't actually like anyone else. Assuming that Morishige outside of Heavenly Host was indeed a gore fetishist or whatever, Kizami wouldn't care any more or less.

And that's the thing: Morishige isn't actually a gore fetishist. The weird obsession he develops with corpses and photographs thereof is pretty unambiguously stated to be a consequence of the darkening, a bewildering trait that he doesn't understand and that is ultimately a large part of what drives him insane. Outside of Heavenly Host, that's not actually a trait of his; outside of Heavenly Host, he's a somewhat antisocial theater kid. If that version of Morishige found out that Kizami secretly wanted to murder his friends, he wouldn't respond positively.

Morishige's violent tendencies and Kizami's are entirely different and unrelated. Kizami's are a part of his normal characterisation; not something other people know about, but they're there and just as prevalent. If he found himself in a position where he could murder someone and get away with it with no trouble outside of Heavenly Host, he'd do it. It's why he took to killing everyone he met as quickly as he did; he realized there was no escape and that meant he could get away with anything, and that's what he immediately decided to do. Morishige, if he happened upon him before succumbing to the darkening, would freak the hell out (y'know, because he's written as an ordinary human being unlike Kizami, who's a rather stereotypical slasher villain).

Sorry, I know this is a popular ship, but I think it's dependent on a misreading of the characters.

every time someone says that Shakespeare is better seen than read just know I am shaking and shuddering and forcing myself not to argue because GOD. God. Because yes, I mean, Shakespeare didn’t even write down his plays in their entirety; they weren’t written for publication; they were quite literally written to be performed. AND. And Every story has meaning. Every word in a story has meaning. That’s just true, and it’s inevitable that one is going to miss some of that meaning if one is watching it onstage. Acting is not meant for analysis unless one is pretentious or a theatre critic. Acting is not designed for analysis. One doesn’t even have footnotes if it’s onstage! and I personally suffer when I don’t have footnotes for Shakespeare. Footnotes are my best friend and I love them. but that would still be fine if all the Shakespeare we see onstage was good Shakespeare but oh my god there is so much bad Shakespeare in the world. Holy goddamn fuck there is a lot of Shakespeare where the actors clearly have no idea what they’re saying or sexual assault is implicitly condoned or everyone’s just reciting lines or the entire concept of the show is apologizing for doing Shakespeare or Juliet is stuck in a register three octaves above sounding like a normal person and oh my god. Oh My God. YES, reading Shakespeare is hard. YES, it’s going to be boring at some points. Everything is boring at some points. But it’s not a magic cure-all to watch it onstage. Onstage Shakespeare has a whole other set of problems. One medium does not have a monopoly on Shakespeare. One medium is not inherently better. There are different things that you will get out of what medium you experience it through. I can’t think of a good conclusion and I’m losing my gol-dern mind so I’m just going to leave it here. Read some Shakespeare. Good night.
