#persona 4 #p4 #persona 4 golden #p4g #hanamura yosuke #yosuke hanamura #souyo #this was an interesting scene for a lot of reasons #for context naoto goes out to take a breather and yu follows with yosuke following behind yu.#yosuke cracks a joke to lighten the mood (something i've already talked about a lot is making jokes is yosuke's fall back to raise morale)#there's 3 things happening here - yosuke opts to go outside with yu to cheer yu up instead of staying in to cheer up the rest of the team #so it kind of implicitly suggests that like it or not yosuke kind of still prioritises yu - that yu is the first person yosuke looks to #but it also comes closely at the heels of that moment in the hospital room with namatame and i think this is very much a scene where #yosuke is testing the waters with his r/s with yu like “hey we're good right” by making a joke so that things btwn them feel normal again #and finally it's something that i don't think even yosuke himself realises - HE is the catalyst to yu's realisation on who the culprit is #yosuke's comment that “the fog's so thick the snow gets lost in it” is reminiscent of the english saying “to hide a tree use a forest”#at least for me anyway - snow and fog are both forms of water that come about during low temperatures #but it's right after this comment that yu made the connection that the culprit was someone else that could hide in the crowd #by blending in in a different manner to namatame #namatame was not noticed because he was a delivery driver and that was a mundane everyday figure #but adachi blended in by being one of many police officers that were present in inaba - in other words the tree in the forest #without realising it yosuke has come in clutch to support yu again - i'm fascinated that it wasn't naoto that deduces it #despite being THE detective and being in this scene #it's the combined work of yosuke and yu #and that they really are better with each other #he's good with his queue

pulps law is that whenever i get insane enough about something, i will inevitably attempt to make a persona 5 au, regardless of whether or not i am successful at it.

#pulp speaks #anyways guys youre never going to guess what au ive been thinking of lately .#i know the correct way to go about this is make sidestep the main character but you see #i will not be doing that. and actually in fact i will not be following the storyline of persona 5 in the slightest. because lol #but morgana exists in this au purely because i dont think the others would survive without him explaining what the metaverse is 💀#the rangers are a team of detective for the public sector in this au #and dr mortum is an unassuming everyday scientist that should not peak the rangers interest in any way. at all #in the video game that exists in my head the player can pick between playing julia or ricardo #it doesnt change the storyline that much but it does make the character relationships funky so #in my head chen is best friends with julia and argent is best friends with ricardo #chen and ortega stumble into the metaverse together so if you pick julia its two best friends in a life or death situation #but if you pick ricardo its your sisters best friend+kinda your boss in a life or death situation which personally i find extremely funny #regardless of which ortega you play with the other one doesnt know about the metaverse until id say like. the end of the first palace? beca #use thats when they start getting suspicious #and because this is ortega they follow them and find out about the metaverse that way #i dont think they become a phantom thief but i think they do end up covering the others asses irl #dr mortum still isnt actually a doctor but i think theyre the one providing medicine to them at the start of the game #theyre extremely wary of the rangers at the start and ortega can barely convince them to sell them things which they still charge-#-extremely high over. i think the turning point comes when they discover the metaverse because holy fuck they are So excited about it #both because of the implications and what the metaverse could be used For #chen is not thrilled about letting them know this but theyre kind of their supplier so its not like he can argue #i think mortum joins the phantom thieves eventually but as a navi #obviously its in their best interest to provide everything for free now that theyre part of the team but they still have to order supplies-#-so i think the way it works out in game is that theres certain days supplies can be ordered and you have to pay for it but the items can b #-picked up at any day of the week #but also i have no idea how that would work practically (its all in my head anyway so it doesnt actually matter but yk)#theres still more thoughts about this but im ✨running out of tags✨ and also i cannot organize my thoughts enough to explain it #im not main tagging this its going to be my silly self indulgent au for eternity ok

i'm so in love with wrio. that man is the embodiment of mercy and compassion. he is so... human. despite the deep disdain for atrocious acts that hurt others, especially acts that remind him of his own pain and traumas, he is able to keep himself in check and hold on to his values. despite being so proactive in fixing the wrongdoings of people that actively harm those under his care and assuring that everyone is supported in the best way possible; despite knowing he could have not controlled other people's hearts once they were in too deep in their own sins, he still feels helpless and incompetent. he recognises he cannot fully empathise with those who have been hurt for he has not experienced what they have and he understands that some wounds might not be able to heal even with all the attention and efforts, or at least not that easily. and it pains him. his whole life he's been trying to protect others. all his hard work during his time at the fortress and taking over it's administration has granted him the power and resources to actually change lives in a more restorative way, with a bigger amplitude than just the people who he's close to. yet he's only human. and not everyone wishes to be saved. and he doesn't hold back from breaking his own rules if means he is guaranteeing the best outcome for the greater good, for the well being of all of those he's sworn to protect. and although he earned himself a respectable title and even got used to being referred to in that way, he doesn't see people at the fortress as innmates but as equals. he never stopped being the little boy that was sentenced to live over a decade of his life there. and he is so good at what he does and he is so successful at restoring people's hopes in life, at giving them a second chance to become who they want to be, that there's people who actually want to stay there. he is the literal personification of turning your own pain into goodness, into love. love for community and love for others. he found meaning in making the world a better place and i just think that's really fucking beautiful.

#cerberus preventing the dead from leaving the underworld vs wrio whose compassion makes people not want to leave the fortress #god he makes me go feral #sorry for wrioposting everyday shjshdh he never leaves my mind #i saw someone point out the 3 heads possibly meaning past present and future and how we get to see a bit of all of those aspects through #his quest and i think that's really cool #also how the main themes surrounding his character are redemption and retribution #dwelling into these topics is just fun and i think they did it really well and again i think wrio is incredibly well written #i just think it's cool to see a character in a position with power to punish others be someone who was also judged by that same system #i think it's cool that rather than blindly following authority he used his power to change and reform the system #he created this utopia of the perfect living conditions and managed to sustain them #it makes you feel a certain type of way when you strive or wish for this type of equity and justice in the real world too #obviously it's only a slice of the cake but it's a relevant slice of the cake #not to enter a socialism and politics conversation but wriothesley and his quest share a very radical ideal and i think it's relevant #to acknowledge it #something something stories about revolution #i'm a bit sleepy tired it's so late but well i had to write something bye #genshin thoughts #genshin impact #my post

The head shape is similar to Kallamar's so maybe he designed these (in my mind he's the 2nd cruelest bishop when it comes to punishment, the first being Heket who literally fuses people into fungi trees alive).

Then again it does look like it belongs in Darkwood more...he could've always lent some to Leshy to help him make better "examples" out of dissenters
