I have a completely different story idea planned than my previous one, but this one's about gay outlaw werewolf cowboys where the lycanthropy is a metaphor for being lgbt. (Specifically being gay/mlm for the two mcs)

Basically bc so many outlaws back in the day were gay that being gay isn't the main concern of the two mcs, instead they're worried about how society will see them as werewolves. While the public knows they're gay and wants them dead for that.

The mcs grew up as outlaws and their gang generally was made of lgbt+ folk so they barely batted an eye at it. The mcs are in love btw just context. But they have convos over the fear of everyone finding out they're werewolves and killing them over it.

It's to emphasize how in our spaces being lgbt+ is generally so normalized and accepted in our circles but we know once we leave them it's not the same at all. Almost like the public was talking about something completely different than we were.

The subject doesn't feel the same, but similar things could be said about either. Also in this case lycanthropy isn't a disease you catch, you are either born with it or not. You never "gain" being a werewolf, you simply are. The public thinks it's a disease due to misconceptions and ignorant beliefs of it. Also werewolves in this fully control their transformations, no random ones due to full moons.

It's a concept I've noticed in myself I guess, how I spend so much time in accepting spaces that it's hard to believe the real world can be so cruel. But I know I still have to be afraid, I can't talk as freely in public as I can online. Simply because I might be killed over it.

Idk if I'm wording everything right, but overall I thought the idea of a non-disease origin based lycanthropy being a metaphor for being lgbt+ was kinda cool. Also gay outlaws.

To those who have read Sophie's (the tulpa/endo account) post, just remember:

They cannot hurt you, they will not hurt you, nobody is going out to get you. Your therapist is not going to be pro endo or try to backstab you for being anti endo. Your family and friends do love you. Syspunk and any other system safespace will not be taken over by endos.
