I was thinking about maybe getting closer to my coworker to see if we could at least start a friendship?

I'm not crazy about him, which honestly helps calm me down a lot in terms of wanting a relationship.

I have a feeling that a different coworker likes him though. I wonder if this is the case? If so, I don't know if I want to try to be closer friends. I know I'll start being jealous towards them or something if I go in hoping for something to happen between us.

Since we don't really need to interact w each other now, doing nothing but keep minding my own business wouldn't change a lot.

Something I like about Leo is that he’s honestly really chill? It’s easy to remember the moments where he’s being obnoxious or excitable but I feel like most of the time he’s incredibly “go with the flow” and has an overall affable demeanor.

I'm not sure exactly, but I think this guy is Nikador's Reason he discarded before going crazy, so it makes sense for him to talk about "eradicating foolishness" and "teaching lessons." But where did the last part come from? Why is it so similar to Ratio's "It is only in moments of solitude and despair, when help is absent, that fools grasp how to pick themselves up"?

Even if Dr. Ratio turns out to be from Amphoreus, I doubt he would have anything to do with Nikador.

And uplifting ordinary humans through strife is not exactly what I expected from Nikador. Although it makes sense for pre-madness Nikador, I guess?

Upd. Btw Gnaeus is a Latin name so Ratio wouldn't be out of place there either. Not all names there are Greek.

Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

WHAT THE FUCK #my original plan was to 1) work my way to the king and talk to him 2) doom myself and take everyone down with me 3) loop back to floor 3 #so i can visit the observatory and scrounge for any lore. although since i got killed that run siffrin asked the king to kill him first #which was intereresting. but i decided to have all doors unlocked that time around so i can just get the starcrest and go #but for some reason it wasnt working so i went to get the keyknife since i was already there and completely forgot i already had it #from the previous loop and THATS what triggered it. No because it's absolutely wild to establish a character as an observer and have a decent chunk of his first arc revolve around believing in things/people even if he hasn't seen it with his own eyes

Only to turn around in s3 and have him not believe there's something strange happening even though the rat practically has a seizure in front of him. And the person telling him something is up is literally one of the only people he's close to.

#like - every three seconds it’s someone talking about how it’s us military prop or it doesn’t cover the atrocities well etc etc #when a) it is so definitely NOT us propoganda- it is so clearly critiquing the us military and oppenheimer himself #and b) it doesn’t cover every small detail of the impacts of the bomb bc that’s not what the film is about #it is a screenplay adapted from a biography on oppenheimer #it is about him - a biopic - and how he got to the point of making atomic weapons and ends on a note of undeniable horror #it is a movie that constantly bombards you with anxiety bc you have the burden of knowing the future #it is not in any way forgiving anything - it acknowledges the fucked up nature of the situation #hell it’s mostly a courtroom drama that shows how fucked up mccarthyism was #i’m a big history buff - so this plays a lot into it #but y’all have GOT to just stop seeinf things on a surface level and engage with media w/ a deeper mindset of just ‘thing bad’#anyway - sorry it bothers me a lot #there are genuine criticims that can be leveled at both nolan and this film and i have seen them #im not sitting here calling the end all be all of cinema - but it’s a well made movie w/ something interesting to say and evaluate #not wanting to see it is one thing - by all means - but wringing it through the mud w/ absolutely no knowledge of the actual content of -#the film itself is actively annoying #media literacy #oppenheimer #mini rant
