Santos: *takes the blame for Mohan because, as she literally explains later, Langdon is already pissed at her as it is, so there's no point dragging Mohan into this too*
The fandom: omg!! She totally did that on purpose to manipulate the situation!! She wanted to make poor Langdon into the bad guy and make herself sympathetic!!

YESSSS good on Robby for telling Langdon off. I know he’s likely only being hard on Santos because of how similar they are (she reminds him of a younger him), and because of how insanely stressed out he is from everything, but Robby’s right—yelling will never be an effective teaching tool.
And if Santos were really as arrogant and rebellious as Langdon thinks she is (she is indeed those things to a degree, but not that much), yelling would only reinforce those traits rather than correct them.
