About Ensemble Stars' illustrators, since that has been a hot topic (on twt ofc). This information is from interview in Ensemble Stars!! Visual Fanbook vol. 1, released in 2022:
In the beginning of !, there were two illustrators for 5* cards, at the time of the interview, there are five (could have changed since then).
They have "experience ladder": the new illustrators start by drawing 3* cards, then move on to 4* cards and finally, some of them get to draw 5* cards too. The criteria to draw 5*s is for example minimum revisions from reviewers (I assume lead illustrator and art director <- also draws 5*s) and that they understand what kind of expressions each character has or they can come up with ideas for cards for the specific situations (I assume this means esp. unbloomed that are used as story CGs). So, it's very possible there are newer (for 5*) illustrators in the mix. Or that the illustrators are experimenting with slightly new style. In the interview, it was said that they switched the style slightly between ! and !!, like proportions etc. We don't know for most of the cards which illustrators drew them.
For a few cards we know because it has come up in interviews or videos. For example, the Altered unbloomed Rei is drawn by the lead illustrator. This was revealed in 9th anniv video where Fairy, Shige-chan and Nitta visited HE offices and Fairy gushed about the card while talking to lead illustrator and she said it was drawn by her (and Fairy was cutely embarrassed).

A Knight second chance 8
Jaune: *trying to leave*
Glynda: And where do you think you are going, young man?
Jaune: *sigh* Professor Goodwitch, We are still technically the weekend and i highly doubt my co-dependency is enjoying... Whatever we are doing.
Penny: *Smiling* Oh do not mind me friend Jaune, i'm fine going wherever you want to go!
Glynda: *sigh* Jaune, this is very important if you want to stay in Beacon. We can't risk you having a panic attack, or something similar, in the middle of a mission.
Jaune: Glyn- *cough* I mean, professor Goodwitch, i understand the importance of mental stability, but meditation isn't something i can easily do when... Well... *Point at Penny* i need to concentrate on repairing her mind.
Glynda: ... Quite. *Sigh* You may go, but i want you in my office the second you are available.
Jaune: *Nod* Will do, ma'am.
___________________________________________
Penny: *walking in the streets of Vale with Jaune* Why did you lie to her? She could have helped us against Roman!
Jaune: *looking at a map* Your communications are out?
Penny: Since yesterday, yes-
Jaune: I already have a deal with Roman.
Penny: *frowning* You made a deal with him? Why?!
Jaune: *taking little alleys and backstreets* Well, who's better than him to give me information on Cinder? Not only that, but i also asked him to use his contacts to dig up dirt on Lionheart.
Penny: That's also something i don't really get, why aren't you telling Osc-, *shaking her head* i mean Ozpin, about everything?
Jaune: *sigh* You don't have all the information, Penny. You only got my memory of when you were there... Beside, you saw how competent he was with choosing his allies.
Penny: *computing* That's... Fair. But what about Glynda?
Jaune: *shaking his head* Too loyal... In fact- *pick up a rock on the ground* the only one i could trust- *turn around and aim for the suspicious looking Crow* Is a dusty old alcoholic! *Throw the stone directly at Qrow's bird form head, making him fall on the ground*
Qrow: *transforming back into his human form* Oof! *Looking up at the teen* Don't you know you shouldn't harass wild life?
Jaune: *smiling* Don't you know it's impolite to listen to private conversation?
___________________________________________
Qrow: *blinking* Wait... You come from the future?
Jaune: *shaking his head* I'm Jaune from the present. Or at least, the body is. My memories, on the other hand, are from the future*Think about his time in the ever after* ... mostly.
Qrow: ... *Goes to take a sip of alcohol*
Jaune: *frown* You should stop that, Summer would be pissed.
Qrow: *looking at Jaune* Now listen here punk, using my dead friend's name is not-
Jaune: She's alive.
Qrow: ... What?
Jaune: She's in hiding, since she got the summer maiden power and-
Qrow: *angry* WHAT!?
Jaune: *surprised by the reaction* Qrow, calm down! It's not as if she had a choice!
Qrow: DID OZPIN KNOW!?
Jaune: No! No, he doesn't. Heck, you should know since you've been searching for the Maidens a majority of your huntsman life.
Qrow: I... BUT... *Sigh* Fucking hell.
Jaune: *sweating* Your sister, on the other hand-
Qrow: That bitch!
___________________________________________
Ozpin: -and you are certain about this?
Qrow: *a glass of water in hand* About 97% sure. The kid isn't a spy from Salem.
Glynda: *still looking at the glass of water as if the world stopped spinning* ... Did... Did something else happen? Like a divine intervention or a miracle?
Qrow: *stifled a laugh* Nothing like that, i just thought i should cut back a bit. *Thinking back at the stone* My reflexes aren't as sharp as i thought.

*giggling*
The reality is that any new, viral thing from thirty seconds ago spreads easily on TikTok, most especially misinformation. Instagram is another pretty terrible platform just in terms of algorithms and how it's run. I wouldn't expect the prevailing understanding of such-and-such from within one bubble on either to necessarily be well informed.
The concept of "antis" under that name is pretty new, and the concept of "proshippers" is even newer. It has always meant "not antis". Some people have started mutating it to be about specific dark content, but it was always supposed to be about opposing censorship-happy idiots.
I don't find incestuous ships any freakier than other common fantasies people have. Same with adult/minor ships. You're seeing them in a distinct category because they upset you in particular. The feelings are fine, but they don't actually mean that these kinks are darker than all the other ones antis go after.
I know you think someone will be able to interpret "proshippers DNI" as "only the actually bad people should stay away", but that simply isn't what's going to happen. First, DNIs are moronic. Curating your online space means that you need to be the one blocking and avoiding. You can't ask random strangers, possibly your enemies, to do it for you. Second, people are going to have all kinds of opinions on which content is Bad Enough to count even assuming they share a similar definition of 'proshipper'.
This kind of "Well, we all know what the Bad Stuff is" attitude tends to have a chilling effect on a space. People are all paranoid that their kinks might count and self-censor far beyond what the person who said it expected.
Honestly, aside from the constant misuse of the terms, my assumption is that public proshippers on Instagram and TikTok are mostly into extreme things because anyone less extreme wouldn't have the balls to be public. The amount of death and rape threats from antis wouldn't be worth it.
--
As for my "rules", I don't have any. This is my personal tumblr, but since I leave anon on, people send me lots of things. I post most of them, but I get so many now, that I'll sometimes cut off a topic that has dragged on boringly. I usually don't post the threats I get unless they're funny and I want to mock them.
--
Re teens in fandom, I got into fandom at 13 on Usenet and set about reading all of the freakiest porn available. I read far worse stuff outside of fandom. I was curious, as many people that age are. It never did me any harm, and it won't do any harm to current 13-year-olds to read dark shit.
The people who get fucked up already have a lack of decent mentors in their offline life, are reading things as self harm, are actually being harmed by the social side of fandom where they've found some creep for horny roleplay, are the subject of a public hate campaign, etc. That sucks, but it's not something I can control or that will get better if we exclude them from fandom.
Teens would be better protected by their parents removing TikTok from their phones than by anything to do with fandom. Its short form makes it ideal for poorly fact-checked soundbites that sound good on the surface but discourage critical thinking or nuanced engagement with a topic. Youtube et al. are also cesspits, but TikTok has elevated predatory algorithms and viral misinformation to a whole new level.
Now back to rewatching miniminuteman. Hahaha.

"Nawy what do you MEAN quick-ish 3D render it's got scratches and everything and I thought this was real for a minute!!"
Well, first, thank you very much that was the intention ❤, and second, you see, all speed is relative, and between finding my references, modeling, texturing and lighting, on top of having to learn how to make convincing gems, it still took me quite a few hours. I, however, cut corners everywhere for speed, and I wouldn't put this piece in a portfolio in its current state.
But! for the curious, I thought I could do a simple breakdown of how the witchcraft happens, without using too much specialized language to make it more accessible. In short,
Tumblr media
In this case, I’m talking about a 3D model that was textured (colours and stuff) and then lit (lights on!) to make a pretty final picture. The objective is not to make a tutorial, but to put in simple terms what a 3D artist does to make something go from this, to that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(people curious and/or trying to see if this interests them welcome)
I'm skipping the 3D modeling part altogether, since it isn't where most of the magic happens here. Just know that to be able to add colour and stuff on a 3D object, you have to go through the process or "unwrapping" it, which is like doing those foldable cubes in reverse
Tumblr media
and then we can draw on it!!
Now, the good stuff:
Surfaces (metal, plastic, fabric, wood, skin, etc.) have different looks that make you able to differentiate them on sight. To make something look realistic, you have to try to replicate real life into the 3D world (duh.)
The software developers took care of the hard part (math and coding), so as artists we can play with the parameters available to make something pretty. What those parameters are depend on which "recipe" we're using. One of the most common "recipes" for realistic results is called PBR: Physically Based Rendering, named that way because it's trying to replicate real-life light physics. In this case, the 4 basic parameters are called albedo, roughness, metalness, and normal.
Tumblr media
Albedo is the base colour of the surface (easy stuff). Roughness is to determine if a surface is rough or shiny. Metalness is to say if something is made out of metal or not. The normal is there to add all those tiny details you don't want to or can't sculpt on your 3D model (engravings, fabric bumps, etc.)
The roughness and metalness are black and white images because the information you're giving to the software is black = no and white = yes. It's easier to understand in the metalness image, where everything that is NOT a metal is black, and everything that IS a metal is white.
Tumblr media
The normal is a bit more complex, but in short, it uses the colours green and red to know what is up/down or left/right, and will help the software fake relief on top of the model. You don't make it by hand; it's computer-generated from other stuff I'm not getting into.
Tumblr media
With the technical stuff out of the way, we can actually use these. There are specialized softwares that will let you preview the results of each parameter in real time, so you can see what you're doing easily. This is what I have.
That software comes with some types of surfaces that are already set up, like the fabric in my piece, which was already 85% good for me straight out of the box. Then, it's up to me to use the tools available to decide how shiny a surface is, if there's dust or scratches and where, what colours things are, if there's metal parts, etc. That's where you can see a 3D artist's skills.
And finally, you bring it all together into a specialized software that can render 3D stuff and use those images on the corresponsing parameters, and then light the scene.
Because it all comes down to this: the light! For something realistic, light is vital to get right. You can pour your heart and soul into those tiny scratches, but if you don't light the scene correctly, well...
Tumblr media
So we carefully light the scene to get some nice highlights to make the textures look good and highlight our subject (it's basically a photography studio inside a computer)
Tumblr media
And then we add some camera effects...
Tumblr media
and voilà! pretty picture!!
... and if you somehow did notice something different with the bolo tie from my last post, I did find out while taking all these screenshots that I messed up my initial renders in a way that made everything darker than it was supposed to be and that's why my gold looked so muddy...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope this was interesting and that you learned a thing or two!

And you know what, I'd be so bold as to say that a lot of witches need to learn how to advertise ethically and effectively! Even folks whose services are 100% legit and genuine can be (or come off as) extremely shady. It's a problem! You don't have to be an expert or anything, but understanding what makes a good product listing and how to ethically advertise your goods and services is absolutely critical.
Having done marketing and advertising work for a Major Company with Many Advertising Regulations, these are the extremely basic hallmarks I look for in a good advertisement or product/service listing:
Language is clear and concise, focusing on the specific product or service in question *
Language is engaging but not inflammatory **
No typos, misspellings, or grammatical mistakes
All products and services are clearly described, and the consumer knows exactly what they would receive if they were to purchase from you
If applicable or possible, at least one quality photo of the product is provided (more than one from multiple angles is preferred, but one very good photo is sometimes enough)
Provided images appear legitimate (not AI, not stolen from the internet, etc.) and product descriptions appear to have been written by a real person ***
Prices are clearly stated and appear fair when compared to other sellers offering similar products and services, or which are otherwise explained (for example, if prices are unusually high, it may be because the seller only has limited stock or is providing a unique, high-effort service; this should be clearly stated in the listing in a simple, matter-of-fact tone)
The method of delivery is clearly described, including delivery timelines and whether tracking will be provided
If not provided elsewhere, or if it's a long list of available products/services, contact information and instructions are provided somewhere obvious and easy to access for questions and concerns
Disclaimers are clearly marked, and the consumer's rights are clearly explained (for example, if it's a commission for a custom spell, could the consumer publish the spell instructions on their blog, or is it for private use only?)
The refund policy is clearly described either in the listing itself, in the sales terms, or elsewhere on the page (so long as it's easily found)
It isn't explicitly about listings, but one other big thing I look for is whether the seller has a presence other than their shop or marketing space(s). This could be social media, a physical location, or a personal website. Basically, I want to see that they're obviously a real person doing real work in the field they're selling in, not just a grifter cashing in on what's popular.
I wouldn't buy cakes from someone who isn't obviously making cakes. Why the hell would I buy a tarot reading from someone who, as far as I can tell, has never done a tarot reading except in closed DMs when paid to do so?
* If you're advertising a specific product or service, the post, listing, or whatever else should be focused ENTIRELY on that specific product or service. Avoid extolling your virtues in excess.
What I mean is, your listing should not be 65% sucking your own dick about how long you've been doing the thing you're doing and how great you are. It should be about the product or service, not you. The place for that (and it does have a place, imo) is in a masterpost of services, a pinned post about yourself on your blog, and/or in the "about" section on your website/sales page.
** I mean inflammatory in the way of pushing the reader into a heightened state of emotion. These listings are purposefully manipulative, intending to take advantage of particular types of people. It's not an uncommon tactic, but it is a pretty scummy one, especially in spiritual circles, which attract non-experts who are desperate for relief, comfort, and results. Consider this example:
A listing for a tarot reading about future love saying, "Discover the future of your love life!" would be generally fine. A listing saying "Your love life DEFINED!! Once in a lifetime LOVE!!! SOULMATE CONNECTION? Is HE the ONE? Don't be fooled by NARCISSIST SOCIOPATHS!!" is inflammatory, intent on targeting a specific type of person who is likely to fall for the urgency and the particular language used here. You see the difference, no?
*** There are always cases of folks who aren't so good at words or taking pictures or who aren't using their first language and so forth, and it's important to take that into consideration. But for the most part, even those cases stand out from the bullshit artists, whose only goal is to take your money and run.

Ok regarding that “can i make Yves do my homework if I give him my childhood pictures” ask, exactly how much access does Yves have to our lives? Does he have images or videos from when we were still a baby or would they be new information to him?
A bunch of my baby pictures and videos are lost because my dad lost the computer that had them but we recently found my aunt’s old camera filled with our childhood pictures, it was a pleasant surprise for us but would it be for Yves too?
It absolutely is. If Yves was there with you while your aunt showed you the photo gallery of her old camera, Yves would momentarily lose a bit of inhibition and let his pupils dilate to a maddening degree before instantly constricting it back to appear normal. It's a rare, super deluxe edition photos of you, there isn't anything else like it out there as they're most likely not uploaded to the internet or a cloud based service, where he could easily hack.
Him coming across media from your childhood or at least during those early days where people still go to and get their photos developed, is like winning the lottery for him. Because, although he tries to collect everything relating to your existence, there is only so much he can do in a day. He rather prioritizes the present and the future, as the past is the past; neither you nor him can change it, he can only understand or connect it to your current behaviours or thought patterns.
He does have some information about you as a baby or a child, but that is if they're "readily available" to him. (I.e., it can be found in predictable places like in your childhood home.), that is why, Yves would try to build a good relationship with people you grew up with, to extract information.
Despite being reclusive as he is, Yves would never fail to attend every and any family gathering he is invited to or expected to come. Encouraging that drunk uncle to drink more if he knew he has something to say about you, bribing your relatives with gifts and career opportunities, perhaps even drugging that really difficult and combative cousin to make them more bearable to interrogate.
As soon as he knew your aunt could be another goldmine of your data, he would get to work. Wasting no time building a rapport with her, it's a piece of cake given how obsessive and manipulative his nature is.
Inevitably, your aunt will come to love him and see Yves as family. By extension, her relationship with you will skyrocket too, she will invite you to her place much more often even though she might not be the most sociable person in the first place. Yves will find a way to make her bend to his whims.
The majority of their conversations would be about you, only sometimes Yves would talk about something else if it meant he could keep the drive to spill more about your lore going. His sharp ears and mind will pick up on clues as to where he might find more pictures or writings about you. He would then break into your aunt's home to give it a thorough shakedown and leave without a trace. Yves would repeat this process until he's positive that she has nothing left to offer. That camera is getting fucking stolen and replaced with a duplicate.
It didn't matter if your aunt was a minimalist or a severe hoarder, he would go through all her things just to try and find pieces of your puzzle. He would wade through cobwebs, dust piles, rat droppings and mould if he had to, Yves isn't scared to get dirty to obtain what he wants, "squeamish" isn't in his vocabulary.
When she is robbed of all your essence, Yves would become distant. Not hostile towards her, just cold and indifferent. He would still maintain some sort of relationship with her though, in case she becomes useful again later. As of now, he either puts his entire focus on your current peripheral and direct life, or start to hunt other members down- from his snooping, he had learned of other people who may have valuable input about your childhood.
All of this is happening in the background. You wouldn't suspect a thing, there wasn't a dip in his attention for you. In fact, he may have gotten a lot more smothering, as Yves would be shaking at the thought of testing out his new theories and hypothesis that were birthed from his new knowledge.
He just loves you so much that he couldn't help himself but to get greedy. Yves wants all of you; past, present and future. And any version of you that could have been.

Nohara Rin characterization guide part 2
I care about Nohara Rin! A lot! More than I should, probably! Today I'm here to explain my personal rinterpretation in the hopes that it inspires you to create a three-dimensional version of Rin.
This is the second post of a two-part series; in it, I will be going over how I view Rin's character. In the first one, I explained what we canonically know about her, and areas that were available to expand upon in order to flesh her out.
Oh boy.
Let's get a few things out of the way real quick: although my Rin is based on what little information we have on her in canon, there's not exactly a lot of information to go off of. I have done a lot of extrapolation and invention. That being said, I do think that this is one of the best possible ways to fill her out into a person. I'm completely biased, I know, but this specific version of Rin answers every question I raised in part one of this analysis and also just fucks severely. imo.
To begin with: what fundamental principles did I base my Rin on?
First: Team Minato has a... Thing (tm) about masks. Kakashi's got his classic one, of course, and we can't forget the ANBU one. Obito... well, his Akatsuki identity shenanigans are legendary in their owns rights. If both of them get to play with masks, so should Rin. How is she wearing masks?
...we'll get to that.
Second: There is something wrong with Rin. I think that this is fairly obvious, even within the text. Despite being describe as kind and caring, she makes oddly malicious decisions at weird times. Her eyes always look dead. She jumps to suicide surprisingly quickly. What, exactly, is wrong with her? We can use the other things to find out.
Third: This one is perhaps the biggest reach, but I've always had a craving for dramatic irony in my stories. It's also the principle that sparked my obsession with Rin. One day I sat down and though, "Wouldn't it be kind of funny if Rin was okay with the idea of the Infinite Tsukyomi, but hated the idea of Obito doing it for her?"
We can combine these principles with traits I hand-picked lovingly from canon: she collects shells (source: data book 2), she likes the stars (source: her staring at the sky after Obito dies), and she is polite but cold (source: every appearance ever + data books + even her name)
This creates a Nohara Rin who is full of emptiness, and wears a mask to cover it. She wants to be known, but she doesn't want anyone to know her. She's full of contradictions. She wears a mask of a girl who is polite and kind, but because it's only a mask, it doesn't allow for true closeness.
She chooses to die on Kakashi's hand because this allows her to be known (ideally)(this does not work) without having to live with being known. She believes that if she does something that is cruel and then dies, people will understand her for who she is, and she will not have to be alive for the understanding.
She likes the idea of the Infinite Tsuyomi because she doesn't see anything wrong with an illusion, but she'd object to Obito doing it in her name because he isn't remembering her correctly.
She's scared of being known because she doesn't feel like she has a "self" to know. She's apathetic, compared to her peers. Some of it's innate, and some of it is a coping mechanism (she is a child soldier too!!!!), and she alternates between being proud of how little she cares and being ashamed. She doesn't want anyone to know that she's so apathetic, so she wears masks.
She likes that Obito likes her, so she does things that encourage his crush on her, but she's also kind of angry at how easily he and the rest of Team 7 fall for her facades. She chose Kakashi to crush on because she thinks that all normal girls (who she is trying very hard to be) have a crush, and Kakashi seemed unobtainable enough to be safe. She was upset when they ended up on the same team.
She collects shells. Aren't they just like her? Hollow? Rin isn't hollow- she's full of nothing. She loves the ocean and space, but they don't mean anything to her. She doesn't care for her comrades. She doesn't bluster on about rules like not crying, but she follows them more strictly than even Kakashi does.
Nohara Rin was born dead, and she's been mad about it her entire life. She insists that she doesn't care about anything, but she cares about an awful lot. She's just as terrible of a person as any shinobi. She's a kid in a fucked up world. She's everything to meeeeee and that's not even touching on the matter of moth symbolism, eye framing within manga panels, and all the theoretical timelines-
You know what? I'm just going to link some meta about this rinterpretation below for further reading.
eye framing within manga panels
team minato hypocrisy
canonical basis
kagurin dynamic
obito views on rin
present/past existence
kakarin dynamic
evil acts towards kakashi
taxonomy
apathy
agency/aromantism
faq??? kind of??
moth/chidori/genjutsu
konan/kaguya/rin fucked up evil polycule
my rinfic if you just really need some more rin
Well, that's probably enough for now. If you have any questions, send me an ask! I will have the answer. I have been stuck in this hole for too long, and I don't think I will ever be getting out.

In one of your ask answers from September you wrote: ''I am a bit reluctant to say what I really think of Faust''. I skimmed over other answers as well but you never really spoke on this matter or about him (concerning this) again. Perhaps it's going to be an empty ask because you're still not comfortable elaboring your views on this - which I accept naturally - but I'm just way too curious to not shoot my shot: what do you REALLY think about Faust?
I personally do not have much going on opinion wise when it comes to him, he seems loyal to Øystein's memory (visiting his grave often, speaking highly of him always, keeping his legacy alive and over all being full of admiration for him, which is understandable since Ø could count as his role model, in a way) which is nice considering how people from the BM scene try to paint Ø, stuffing their mouths with his name just for views and/or turning their backs on him after his death ; but I am also aware of the crime he commited and as far as I recall, he never really spoke about it? Which is also why many people despise him (which is normal, absolutely not trying to imply that 'talking about it' would solve the problem!) the double amount, for example you can see it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/rabm/comments/mz7s97/the_lgbt_heavy_metal_podcast_24_emperor/. Anyway, I'm more interested right now if your opinion, if you'd like to share. Thanks!
There are many reasons why I'm reticent in saying what I truly believe about Faust, but I will try to express it in the gentlest way possible. My opinion is not something colossal as there isn't much information available on the subject, but it's definitely a radical one.
I see lately that more and more people have a tendency to make opinions about certain problematic black metal individuals that are 'Øystein approved or disapproved'. In this case, I can easily include Faust. I see people willing to downplay the gruesome and intentional murder that he committed for the simple fact that he was one of Øystein's loyal 'students', so to speak. So, my question for those is:
Does the simple fact that Faust spoke honorably about his mentor make him less of a bad person for taking the life of a man? The most rational answer is no.
I see many people believing blindly that Faust is truly remorseful and that he learned his lesson in prison, and my question about this is: How can you be so sure? Just because he is out now, talking about how he messed up because he was a kid and how much he changed since then doesn't mean that he means his words. Anyone can say anything. You don't know if it's real unless you know that person personally, and even so, he went to prison for first degree murder. I don't think it's far-fetched to doubt his words. Once you're some kind of celebrity, you need to keep your PR good. And if you don't think that everything in this world is business, then you don't really know how the world works, and I apologize for sounding rude.
No one can prove or disprove that his mentality (not action) changed.
It is very expectantly for him to try to clean his image and redirect the attention to other subjects like talking positively about Øystein. I don't say he is not respectful and he doesn't carry on Øystein's legacy, but I'm saying that it's wise to be aware who says what and what might be the reason behind it. There are other people that I'm more inclined to believe their feelings towards Øystein and loyalty are more authentic, like Mortiis for example. This is just my opinion, I encourage everyone to think for themselves.
Maybe I'm too harsh on him and I don't give him many chances, but he is a criminal after all, and I don't minimize this aspect. He didn't kill in self defense, he talked in interviews about 'stomping' on the victim's head, and this is cruelty. Do people think this cruelty somehow goes away over time? It never does. You're either born with it or you learned it. That's not PlusVanity being bitter about what can be changed in people. That's a well-known psychological fact. He is in the ASPD spectrum towards the high end, that's no speculation.
The time spent in prison is the equivalent of a joke because of the Norwegian system. You're basically living like in a hotel there, painting and doing crafts, playing basketball with the guards, living a long vacation. There is little to nothing that a troubled individual can learn and self-reflect in such conditions. I'm not saying that more violent habits are the answer for behavioral change as I strongly believe that violence is primitive and unnecessary, but the only way in which someone can get an insight on themselves is by feeling the equivalent consequences of what they've done.
People question if he killed a man because his victim was homosexual or he if simply killed just to feel how it is like. Both options make Faust just as much of an asshole because he took somebody's life intentionally. When asked about his opinion on homosexuals, he answered: 'Basically I don't care about them (as long as they keep it to their own people), but... what can I say... they are nice to put knives into..' In another interview he describes luring that man to the spot in which he committed the crime. There's always the element of shock-value in the black metal scene, but I tend to believe his words back then were a bit more genuine than what he insists on now because, to be fair, who wouldn't want to clean his image after something like this? Especially because he is still relevant in the scene.
Of course that his peers accepted right back like 'hey, bro! nice to see you again' and many people forgot his dark past because he's famous (to a certain degree). Is he a perfectly good guy now just because he says he is? When talking about antisocial behavior, somebody who did this can always do it again. They have it in them.
To sum it up, from a moral perspective, I don't like Faust and I'm not easily impressed by his post-prison statements because of the gravity of his act. Should he be forgiven or cancelled is not something I will comment about. There is no way to verify what's in his head and talking more about it is simply rambling.
From a musical perspective, he's a good drummer.
That's all I can say.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Over two years ago, I was inspired by @transhitman's personal Disco Elysium Skill project to make my own Disco Elysium Skills. Today, I am proud to present my own take on the idea, the Internal Family Skills, having finally gotten my brain in gear enough to finish it in a showable capacity. This isn't the final form of the project, but I'd need to learn CSS to make a full fake menu on my Neocities, and a new tablet to make the Skills as painterly as the game's art style (which I might not do, since this style is basically what the inside of my brain looks like).
We're starting off with the Manager (MGR) Attribute: Your capacity to present sufficient normalcy and interact with the people around you. Its six Skills are:
Bureaucracy
Disguise
Distress Tolerance
Hiya
Pakikiramdam
White-Passing
[ Firefighter | Exile | Self ]
Bureaucracy
Understand process and procedure. Pull on the levers available to the public.
COOL FOR: Pencil-Pushers, Concerned Citizens, The Maliciously Compliant
Bureaucracy is what humans use for detailed communication in place of emotional honesty. This is not, in fact, an imposition -- rather, it allows for smooth cooperation and organization at large scale without the superior's scorn or the inferior's resentment getting in the way. Your Bureaucracy skill familiarizes you with paperwork and precedent, assures that the powerful view you as properly compliant, extracts assistance from systems that don't care about you as a person, and teaches you how to work to rule.
At high levels, Bureaucracy lets you navigate hierarchies, provide and access information easily, and fill in gaps in existing procedure where there is none. It'll also make you a fussy, obstinate smartass who refuses to participate with anyone emotionally or act without structure. At low levels, however, you'll be adrift in a paper sea designed to silence, exhaust, and oppress you.
Disguise
Manipulate with masks. Fit yourself into palatable forms.
COOL FOR: Changeling Children, Sociopathic Butterflies, Emotional Laborers
Disguise wants you to know that if you can't be yourself, it's always okay to be someone else. As your handy-dandy superficial charm, Disguise feeds you the lines necessary for a given situation: Need to act mindful and demure at work when you're imagining gutting your manager like a fish? Disguise is already on it. Want to seem like a problem-solving super-genius when you're actually in the middle of cybersex? Disguise is running the social buffer. Trying to avoid telling the truth to your parents or scaring the hoes at the local queer scene? Got. You. Covered.
At high levels, Disguise makes you terrified of failing to live up to your image, to the extent that you'll partition off your life into different personas. You won't be tempted to become any of the masks, but by God will you not take any of them off. At low levels, though, you'll have to take all the lumps that come with never telling anybody what they want to hear.
Distress Tolerance
Endure immediate pain for long-term gain. Stay in the trap to remove the one who set it.
COOL FOR: Forward-thinkers, Sensitive Souls, Cluster Bs
Distress Tolerance is your lexicon of adaptive coping mechanisms. It snaps into action when the world is painful and unfair, identifying pain relief and things you can control. Distress Tolerance reminds you to go for a walk instead of lying in bed, to spend time with people you love instead of fighting online, and to box breathe instead of hiding in a cabinet and sobbing. It also helps you keep your goals in mind: the point of enduring the pain is to avoid hurting people and to have a better life in the future.
At high levels, Distress Tolerance makes you hyper-sane, and thus hypernormal. You'll fall victim to the seductions of personal responsibility, assuming that it's simply your duty to put up with the world's iniquities. Without it, though, you'll be a panicking woman-child ignorant of her own agency, unable to do anything about those iniquities but lash out at the people who love you.
Hiya
Feel shame yourself. Anticipate shame in others.
COOL FOR: Overton Glaziers, Panopticon Inhabitants, Human Dignity Enjoyers
Hiya isn't the cop inside your head, it's the patriarch -- instead of trying to shoot you when you've deviated from the accepted standards of behavior for a given community, it just makes you feel fundamentally unlikable and helpless. This isn't entirely a bad thing, since the accepted standards of behavior frequently involve putting others first so you don't make them feel fundamentally unlikable and helpless. That said, while Hiya teaches you that standards of behavior can change, the only tool it gives you to accomplish that is the cattle prod called "shame".
At high levels, Hiya makes you socially invulnerable -- because you don't do anything objectionable in the first place. Not only will you be self-sacrificingly afraid of being deemed deviant, you'll cringe and withdraw when others embarrass themselves regardless -- and you'll enforce shame yourself to make the cringing stop. Without it, though, you'll literally be walang hiya: a shameless, self-gratifying boob incapable of thinking about others' feelings.
Pakikiramdam
Understand that others’ needs are different. Find out what they are.
COOL FOR: Relationship-Builders, Active Listeners, Safety Tool Users
Pakikiramdam feels out everything that isn't explicitly said. It's a Skill of social moderation formed through trial and error -- knowing what will tickle someone's funny bone, whether acquiescence is hiding upset, and whether they see a given action as common courtesy or a true effort. Pakikiramdam creates models of others' internal states to better foster and maintain kapwa; to this end, it reminds you to check in, slow down, and look at the conversation from outside so you're on the same page about what's going on.
At high levels, Pakikiramdam will make you truly empathetic and understanding -- as long as people can stomach you being a busybody who demands adult communication and introspection about their wants at the drop of a hat. Too low, however, and you'll simply barge through situations assuming you already know what everyone wants, giving you no chance to build empathy in the first place.
White-Passing
Defend yourself and get away with it. Recognize and use what authority you have.
COOL FOR: Egotists, Dissatisfied Customers, Fifth Columnists
You are the phenotypical expression of a multigenerational effort to make you and your desires untouchable in any social situation. White-Passing measures your ability to live up to that standard: Can you talk over people in a meeting to make your point heard? Can you talk to a cop like he's a brave and dignified defender of your security? Can you justify the entire extractive supply chain in order to demand a better customer service experience?
At high levels, White-Passing will get you what you want, and getting what you want will reinforce the rightness of your power. Not only will this make you an entitled little martinet claiming power you lack, it'll chain you to the structures that have given you what power you have. But without it, you won't even be able to get past the cop in your own head, let alone the ones outside it, and you'll make a cult of your own disenfranchisement.
Notes:
Bureaucracy's ear-thingies are a reference to Intergalactic Advocate Bob from Jupiter Ascending.
The mask Disguise is wearing is based on Caves of Qud's gentling mask.
Thanks is due to Jeremiah Reyes' 2015 article "Loób and Kapwa: An Introduction to a Filipino Virtue Ethics", which was instrumental in me figuring out how exactly my lolo's ethics filtered through my dad to me, for good and for ill.

A little analysis about Beelzebub
I'm liking the game a lot and one of my favourite characters is Beelzebub, so I wanted to do a little analysis of his character based on the little information that we have currently of information about him.
Spoiler warning about the personal story about Beelzebub (Selfie) card (part 1 and part 2) and the comics of : Bael, Beelzebub (selfie), Amon.
Leak waring about Beelzebub butt card.
I currently never met Beelzebub in the main story, I'm on chapter 2 and stuck as I am writing this.
But I also think that we never met Beelzebub to all the 4 chapter available at the moment because if you go to 'album', you can see which GC you have and how many you missed it and of who you missed it. And there isn't yet an option about him or Abyssos/Avisos.
I think Beelzebub himself will show for the first time or at Gehenna or Tartaros, since in his description it says to spend most of his time there, but only later we will have to seriously have his "kingdom arc".
Before talking completely about Beelzebub I want first to talk about his kingdom, because I think, even minimally, that each kingdom represents/reflect it's king personality and doings.
Tumblr media
(honestly I don't understand if his kingdom is called Abyssos or Avisos, but I will use the first to name the kingdom and the second the organisation)
In Abyssos there is an entertainment district and a casino, the existence of these things, makes me connect that Beelzebub is a party animal, and consider having fun something really important or something of his begin as a person.
In fact in the comics we see a Beelzebub that is always doing something fun such as begin on the beach/vacation (Amon comic) or hanging out whit the other kings (levithan selfie & mammon butt comics).
And seeing him in one of his many tentative of run away from his job and responsibility as king, and failing this time. (Beelzebub Selfie)
[immagini 2]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I put this last image not only cause Beelzebub looks like a fucking chad, which is hilarious to me.
But also it shows the "darker" side of him, better to say that it shows Beelzebub strength and serious side of him and the fact he actually do his job.
And made me also think about Beelzebub not using his power while he is trying to run away in his selfie comic. Could he not wanted fully to run away? Or wanted to have a little distraction before continuing to work and wanting to actually get cached? Or he just doesn't use his power to run away cause he fully believe/knows he is able to run away whitout using them?
I'm saying this cause he was catched whit s bear hug, and it's said in his description that his powers doesn't follow any kind of laws, and if he wanted really, really to "escape" he could have use it easily.
I also recently discovered that after Solomon death (B.C. 931) Beelzebub decided to completely run away from his kingdom and never stepping on it again, or at least till now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Bael description it says that Beelzebub is specifically targeted by angels, and since Bael takes Beelzebub identity, he have to fight all the angels that come to Beelzebub. But why he have to do so??
Not long ago I read a theory that says the reason why Beelzebub is Always on the run since B.C. 931 and targeted by angels it's because he is involved to the death of God and Solomon.
I would also add one of my personal theory: remembering Solomon death lead all the demons he made a pact whit, extremely restrained by the contract still existing.
And I believe that Beelzebub is one of the Demons that got extremely weak and/or unable to use his power, making him a really easy target for angels, reasons why Bael has taken his identity, is it to protect Beelzebub by angels since he still can use his power.
But at the same time Bael made believe to the angels he is Beelzebub, Abyssos civilians seem knows that right now, at the "throne" there is Bael replacing Beelzebub since they miss Beelzebub. (Abyssos description)
But I could completely wrong, we really don't know actually the reason why and I hope in the future we will get an answer about it.
I also think that only whit MC influence in future chapter he will return back to Abyssos, after breaking solomon contract and/or whit some persuasion.
Or not, Beelzebub is a impulsive and unpredictable person that does what he wants most of the time, like 9 time out of 10.
but I think he will return, because even very subtly it is shown that Beelzebub cares about his his people and kingdom.
He personally gives piercing all Abyssos citizens to shown that they are from Abyssos.
And I also read somewhere that Beelzebub doesn't scribble on Abyssos walls (I don't remember if this last thing is canon or a headcanon, so take this information whit a grain of salt)
But it's shown more than once his care for his friend Bael.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bael comic is one of my favourite comic at the moment.
I love how it shows Beelzebub and Bael relationship, I love it how's it show a new side Beelzebub personality and his guilt, and I love that last panel of Bael smiling and the little drawing.
Specifying more, I want talk about Beelzebub guilt and behaviour in this comic.
The comic shows Beelzebub feelings about the situation of Bael using his identity:
Whit a flashback to, what I think is, the first time Bael impersonated Beelzebub.
It shows Beelzebub shock as he see Bael taking his identity in front of the angels and also it show Beelzebub running away from the fight as he is begin called a coward by other Devils and Beelzebub insulting himself as he is running away (and when he returns back to bael completely wounded by the angels).
I'm sure there is a specific reason to why Beelzebub acted this way, especially cause on the Amon comic there is a Beelzebub that isn't scared of fighting or is weak that it have to run away.
Here I will stand again on my theory of how Beelzebub can't use his power because of the pact he made whit solomon and his death.
I also want to talk about how at first Beelzebub was exited to talk whit Bael about a back joint therapy in Gehenna that he wanted to do at first, but taken back his words whit a "I'm not actually serious about it, I'm joking/only talking about it".
remembering to the fact how this can mean such a burden to Bael since he is impersonating him, and how they need have minimal differences.
after Bael decides to change topic whit a joke saying "if you want to change your look, why don't we dye hair together (implied of the same colour) " to lighten up Beelzebub mood.
In the comics it look like Beelzebub his a person that hide his problems behind his extroverted personality and momentarily forgets about his problems as he distract himself to wait pick his interest.
Going to the next topic, I want to talk about his description.
Tumblr media
Free - mysterious - doesn't follow rules - hearty and lovely
Are key words on his description that catch my eyes the most and I want to analyse each one for themselves:
Free - we can see many times how much he is a free spirited person, not really linking to work and always on the run in search of entertainment and something that catches his eyes, this is also why on the same day you can see him in two different countrys.
Mysterious - more than mysterious, he is pragmatic, a bit hard to read at first, and since always on the run you never know what going on whit him and inside his head.
Doesn't follow rules - I think this is self explanatory.
Hearty and lovely - WHERE?????? BECAUSE FOR NEITHER IN HIS SELFIE CARD HE IS?? HE IS MORE OF A BITCH THAN LOVELY.
Seriously the first time I read the story (part 1) I literally wanted to punch him in the face. (I still do every time I re-read part 1)
I really don't understand this, since it's never shown this part of his personality or hinted.
Even considering Bael comic, he doesn't really look or act "hearty and lovely", he is acting more of a person that cares about his friend.
In the 2nd part of the story( still Beelzebub Selfie card), MC and Beelzebub begin to do the doings and he encourage MC as MC takes their times, but he isn't "hearty and lovely" even there.
He is for sure a flirt and kind of a bastard in the first part. While in the second, he is kind of patient, he doesn't make fun of MC "inexperience" and even encourage MC to continue and go harder.
Which I really liked, not in a horny way, but liked in "enjoying the character personality" way, and honestly before reading the second part I trough he would make fun and insults MC in a kinky way, but he didn't which surprised me in a positive way.
Maybe in the future it will show his "hearty and lovely" side, but for now that side doesn't exist or is hidden very well.
Plus at the end I wanna talk about his Butt card:
Tumblr media
At first in the card I looked at his (ass) crying face, seeing him acting this "childish" because of a syringe, made me consider if Beelzebub have a "childish" personality. It true since he scribble everywhere, and he doesn't to his job (homework), but he doesn't really look that childish, more than acting like a kid, he acts more of late teenager that doesn't want to study and go to the disco
But then I got confused, is he scared of needles? I don't really thinks so since he have his ears pierced, and he himself pierce every Abyssos civilians, he shouldn't be scared of needles. Is he scared on needles only when it's about syringe???
Recap of Beelzebub personality:
Beelzebub is impulsive and blunt person that loves to have fun and always on the run of that fun and never following any kind of rules as he loves his own way of freedom.
But also a person that under his care free personality shows his depth as character: affection to the people he cares, even guilt and regret to his own action to even call himself as "useless" to the fact he isn't able to help his friends and even Kingdom that tries to hide by his party animal personality.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
I really hope whit this Recap of his personality, I didn't watered down my whole analysis.
I finally finished my analysis and I wanted to thank you to everyone who read this and also to say sorry about:
the possible grammar errors, miss typo and repetition, I tried my best to write something that have a sense.
the possibility that this analysis may be superficial, which is something I really didn't want to do.

So... I feel like the left-handed metaphor is a good tool for talking about trans folks.
But also... I am kinda sick of the left-handed metaphor.
It's a bit simplistic. It's overused as a gotcha. And it isn't a perfect metaphor because I don't think there is a huge increase in people identifying as trans because they are more accepted. I think it has more to do with easily accessible information.
Personally, I feel acceptance of being trans has seriously regressed since this fearmongering began. And people weren't learning that left-handedness was a thing all of a sudden. They just weren't smacked with a ruler anymore. It was purely a shift in acceptance, rather than a shift in available lefy info.
I also think people overstate the increase in trans identification. They talk about percentages like "a 3200% increase!" or whatever, but there are still only about 40,000 young people diagnosed with gender dysphoria every year. A lot of those "percentages" lump in all queer identities. And while a more reasonable estimate of a 200% increase might sound like a lot, that would still only be going from 20K to 40K young people. A better metric would be to show the percentage of all young people that are trans.
We've gone from 0.027% to 0.054% of 0-17 year old trans identifying people. From that perspective, the 200% increase seems rather quaint.
(I don't remember the time scale and a gender dysphoria diagnosis is not a super accurate census of young trans folks, but I am too tired to look all of that up. Hopefully you understand the point I'm trying to make.)
I don't really have a better metaphor to replace left-handedness. And it is still a great tool for trans 101 explanations. But I think it would be better to fight against the narrative that there is this huge increase in trans folks. Anti-trans folks are trying to make it seem like every kid in public school is trans now. They want the trans population to seem much bigger and scarier. And in reality, they want them to be the smallest group possible so they can't fight back.
Most people I know don't even have a single trans person in their life. And many others don't even know a trans person at all. It's definitely more than it used to be but way less than the scaremongering portrays.
This narrative is used to make it seem like every sports event has trans people competing and every school has 8 trans teachers and millions of kids are getting puberty blockers and genital surgeries.
But the NCAA has 130,000 women athletes. Estimates say about 100 are trans. Most schools have 0 trans teachers. Only about 1500 young people are put on blockers each year. And only a handful of 15-17 year olds have had any bottom surgery in like, all of history.
The trans population is just big enough to be horribly discriminated against by bigots, and just small enough to be nearly powerless to defend themselves without serious help from allies.

Comprehensive Guide For Assassination Classroom Content
Because it's pretty hard to find a straight up list of it all. Please note that whilst I believe this is accurate, I was not involved in the fandom whilst the series was active and so could reasonably miss something.
Core Content
Assassination Classroom manga as serialised in Shounen Jump. If you buy the physical volumes, there's a bit of additional content between chapters, most notably introductory character profiles.
Assassination Classroom anime (some count seasons 1 and 2 as separate entities)
Assassination Classroom Meeting Time - an animated short featuring Korosensei and Karasuma's first meeting.
Assassination Classroom Extra Curricular Lessons - adaptations of a couple of manga chapters that weren't in the show itself. I'll just link a playlist here. Fun fact this is where Nagisa gets hit by a chair (lowkey he deserved it)
Additional Content
365 Days Movie. This isn't 'canon' as it's an anime original thing. There's no official English release that I know of. Honestly the movie is mostly a series recap, and only features Karma and Nagisa in new scenes. It's only really worth watching if you especially ship them as there's only maybe 10 minutes of actual content (and most of that is just montage, you can get the gist with this)
Roll Call Book - this was published mid manga run. It's mostly just a bunch of bonus content particularly character based. No official English translation exists, but snippets are easy enough to find online.
Graduation Album - as the name implies, it accompanies the end of the manga. About half of it is an art book, but there's extra character information especially about their post graduation lives. Crucially it includes a few manga shorts which extend past the actual canon ending.
Korotan A, B, C, and D plus Korosuu. They're mostly just Assassination Classroom themed text books (Seriously. My actual university book store sold them.) Korotans are for English vocabulary, Korosuu is for maths. Notably each book also contains a light novel (sometimes these are just referred to as 'the light novels'). It is debatable how canon these are as Matsui didn't write them, but he was involved through illustrating and overseeing the writing. Korotan D is especially debated because it's post canon content set when 3E are 18, but there's a small 'it was all a dream' implication right at the end of the book. Personally speaking I take them as full canon.
Official Spin Offs
The live action movies (part one and two). They change a lot of plot so I place them more in the spin off area. Easily skippable.
Korosensei Quest Manga (otherwise known as Koro Q) - a spin off gag manga set in a fantasy/video game inspired universe. This is not canon (unfortunately) and as far as I understand Matsui isn't involved in it. There's an implication of the idea it's Fuwa's own manga creation. Overall there are four volumes but there's no official English version (though fan scans aren't hard to find).
Korosensei Quest Anime - lightly based on the Koro Q manga. This is only a short 10 episode series though, and was complete long before the original, as such only the first few episodes are actual adaptations and it starts doing its own thing. All voice cast return so that's neat.
The OVA - basically an early adaptation of the Kyoto arc. Link here. It was released in 2013 so predates the actual anime, and a lot of the voice cast are different.
White day shorts featuring Karma, Maehara, and Nagisa - posted on official website as an otome game parody for promotion. Included because they're voice acted.
The 3DS games. They're region locked as far as I understand, and there's no translation of them. You can find it dumped if you know what you're doing with emulators, I've only played a few minutes of it myself.
The app game - no longer available. It was a gatcha tie in game featuring a variety of character illustrations.
Various merch lines and related illustrations. There are far too many to list and new ones still come out sometimes.
As I said, I hope I covered everything but there's a good possibility something slipped my mind.

31. What post have you seen recently that makes you wanna scream lmao <3
oh boy youre asking me for the spicy hot takes tonight huh. i am always happy to deliver <3 i dont want to put anyone in particular on blast so ill refrain from mentioning specific posts, but i do find that a lot of content lately in the helpol sphere has been very... surface level. a lot of moodboards, a lot of basics, 101 level content, stuff like 'the gods love you!!'. which isn't inherently a bad thing whatsoever. there is a need for that kind of content! however, i've also noticed in my 2 years on helpol tumblr that a lot of the reconstructionist blogs and informative blogs that i used to follow have either went inactive or deactivated entirely. and i can't help but wonder why this is. i think there's a lot of reasons for it: frustration with the shallowness of content leading to people going off and becoming more solitary practitioners, the more you grow in your practice the less compelled you may become to share it, but also i think a lot of people use tumblr and people's ask boxes as a search engine and that leads to a lot of burnout. it certainly did for me -- i took a hiatus from posting for a long time because i wasn't in a place to educate people. it's a lot of pressure, especially on tumblr where it feels like people will jump down your throat if you're incorrect about things or you suddenly become an Authority that people look up to when youre just a person. people who were posting really helpful and informative content about the theoi simply arent here anymore, and i really think the community's gravitation towards easily consumable content and reliance on people to do research for them is a large part of this. i realize not everyone is recon, which is very much okay, although i personally love being recon. that being said, i still think you should do your best to do your research and understand where these ideas come from. they didn't appear out of thin air -- mediterranean culture is very much alive still and is a continuation of the ancient world, and to not acknowledge or understand it is disrespectful to both the cultural context of the theoi and mediterranean people whose culture we claim to revere. i don't expect everyone to become an academic or a classicist. its not accessible to everyone for a variety of reasons, but i do think like. checking out some of the primary sources in a way thats accessible for you or picking one really good book to really deep dive into would benefit a lot of people. basically, i just wish i saw more in depth posts and people engaging on a deeper level with their faith and being willing to post it so we can have more discussions as a community and grow together. helpol is unique among other polytheistic religions because we have a wealth of primary sources available to us, and that isn't always the case for other polytheistic religions. i think it's... honestly kind of sad that we don't really talk about them. its not that i dont want to see peoples upg or that i dont think there should be posts for beginners, because there is a place for it and i enjoy that content too, but i wish there was more variety in the kinds of posts we have in the community. i miss the days when the tags were full of people writing their own prayers or people talking about a new source they read and what they thought, or compiling something for their own practice and being willing to share it with the community. i guess this is my sign to get back to posting my own original content and make the kind of content i want to see in hopes it'll encourage others to do the same. anyway i got on my little soapbox about this and its time for me to hop off before i hit character limit (again lmao). thank you so much for this ask, this was really refreshing and cathartic for me to talk about. may the gods bless you with health, happiness, and love always <33

ultimately it's probably for the best that jojo doesn't really explore the effect something like the internet would have on stand user communities and people's knowledge and understanding of stands because that's an entire can of worms in its own right. however i am a little freak and the social aspects of stand users never ceases to intrigue me. like prior to the internet being as universal as it is now i can see stands being something that the average person isn't aware of and that information being kept to small and typically more local communities that all have slightly varying understandings of what stands are and different terminology for them as well. but that would inevitably change/evolve after worldwide communication becomes more available and easier, and i would just. love to see what an online community of stands users would be like. how they would discuss things and on what sort of platforms they would keep those conversations to. would an average person brush them off as just another group of oddball internet users along the lines of conspiracy theorists or the like? would a brand-new stand user be able to find information about their new permanent condition easily or would they have to know specific keywords to even find the communities they're seeking? imagine the batshit insane discourse that stirs up after some average people misunderstand the stand thing as something equivalent to wizard roleplaying and start pretending to be stand users. or would that even happen. certainly there are terminally online stand users too who would let that shit get to their heads bad
thank god i have an original the project im invested in that has similar concepts that i can explore as much as i want because i don't think jojo is geared up to tackle this stuff at all without compromising its identity

Careful With Otherlinking (May Lead To Thoughtform)
(edited as of 8/20/23 to be a little more concise, hopefully sound Less Aggressive, and revised without links for the sake of brevity)
TL;DR available at the bottom!
THE POST:
I'm not an expert on the subject of otherlinking. I'm simply making this post to inform people who either stumble across the community (like I did), or who may be in the community and are not already aware of the information I will be talking about here. Namely that some guides detailing how to form a linktype have a similar enough process to thoughtform creation that there may be the unintended side effect of accidentally creating a thoughtform if you are not careful with what you're doing.
The guides for forming a linktype that I have seen follow the steps of immersing yourself in things related to the linktype you are trying to work towards, which itself is very innocuous and not at all an issue! However, with communities/practices such as soulbonding, the same steps are present. The difference is whether your focus is placed internally or externally (with things such as asking in your head what your chosen linktype would prefer in certain situations, this line of thinking can particularly easily move into the "external focus" area).
With otherlinking having similar steps to something like soulbonding (the example here, and what originally made me write this post), it's no wonder that there have been reports here on Tumblr of people who ended up experiencing accidental thoughtform creation while trying to form their linktypes. The numbers are slim, but the potential does seem to be there, if their stories are to be believed!
Otherlinking itself is nothing that is any different from another alterhuman community. My intention is not to scare anyone off who is a prospective member of their community or make people in the community question what they've been doing already. My whole goal for this post is to inform people that there is the potential for an unwanted side effect like thoughtform creation. You should be aware of the effects of everything you do in life after all!
Whether or not this is a bad outcome to you, or you believe in thoughtforms at all (for those who doubt things related to the topic), the fact of the matter is that it is a serious outcome for people who otherwise may not fully understand what is going on, or what they're getting into. To put it simply, if you follow a guide to form a linktype, you expect a linktype, not another consciousness in your head!
WHAT TO DO:
If you're someone who writes guides for forming a linktype, it would be helpful to add a note about the possibility for this outcome in the guide, or if possible (and if you'd like to), revise any steps that might contribute to the unintended consequence. If you're someone who has linktypes or would like to get into the community, just do your best to be aware and educated! Talk to your peers, get involved, and find out what's the norm and what isn't for your experiences. There's a good chance it'll never happen to you, but do your best to understand the methods you're using and why they work the way they do. If you're someone who HAS experienced what I mentioned in the post, I implore you to reach out and ask questions! Don't hesitate to seek advice or find others who might be able to help you understand your situation better. Finally, if you're anyone else, aside from the above- perhaps even just a curious onlooker who happened to read this all the way to the end (or skipped here)- spread the word if you can! Likes and reblogs help and are greatly appreciated.
Feel free to message me questions, comments, or concerns related to this post. If you think I missed something or should have reworded anything in here, let me know! I wish the best for anyone who reads this. Thank you!
TL;DR : This is a notice about otherlinking's methods of forming a linktype being similar to methods of creating a thoughtform, and that trying to form a linktype may lead to unintentional thoughtform creation.

Hi! I like your blog, it's very informative. Thank you for answering the questions. I have a couple, I hope you can answer.
So, the first one. I noticed that Jared is officially declared at only three of the eleven Creation conventions. Given the rumors about his participation in the upcoming Disney series about Nova, could this be the reason for his absence from most of the cons in 2024? The contract with the studio would oblige him to be available to work on their projects, right? Would that be a priority?
Although Disney isn't having the best of times right now, are they still developing this series?
In this regard, one more question: for what period is a contract with such corporations concluded? I read that they used to be imprisoned for five years. Has anything changed? That is, I am interested in this point: if work on the series has been suspended, the contract is not broken. So for the duration of the contract, Jared will not participate in other projects, including conventions?
If that's not the case, what is your opinion on why Jared is almost not participating in SPN cons next year?
And the last question: your forecast, how will Jensen's career develop next year?
I'm sorry if my questions are a little silly, I don't understand the movie business at all. And in how the organizers of the conventions work, too. I hope you can help me figure it out.
My guess is yes, Jared may be limiting his convention appearances due to filming commitments for non-Walker projects.  Jared has repeatedly told Gilmore Girls stories when he wasn't scheduled to film on a particular day so he slept in.  But GG had rescheduled filming and decided they would film Jared's scene on the said particular day.  Jared's friend had to break into his apartment to wake him and get him to the set.  The experience gave him nightmares and he vowed to always be available even if the AD said he's not scheduled to film that day.  Disney is notoriously unforgiving so IF he will be working in the Nova project then he best make himself available.
Disney had a series of film flops this year, including a Marvel film with the lowest box office opening. Every long-running franchise goes through growing pains. Just as James Bond franchise didn’t die when there are a few clunkers at the box office, and Batman managed to survive the Batman & Robin debacle, the Marvel franchise won’t die, it's an institution at this point. Sure it's a little tired and nursing a black eye, but as we all know, that’s often when heroes rise to their best selves.
While Disney and every major studio are cancelling projects, they still need new contents.  Recently Disney's CEO has pretty much said that going woke is making them go broke so they will be course correcting their Marvel brand by returning to more traditional storytelling entertainment aka more male-centric contents aka Chippendale for the female gaze.
"imprisoned" for 5 years??  Maybe you're thinking of a typical 5-year tv series contract.  Studios have these contracts in case the show is a big hit and syndicated in season 4 or 5 will make them even more money as long as the lead actor don't run away, which is why tv contracts are at minimally 5 years.  This doesn't prevent the actors from taking other projects, it just prevents them from leaving the original project. So yes, Jared can technically take on other projects but his first obligation is to fulfill the requirements of his first contract, which means being available for filming.
With that said, while TV contracts are typically 5 years, it is easily 7 years because in California all personal service contracts well limited by law to a maximum of 7 years without re-negotiation.  With that said, if the show is a hit, the actors will often band together and ask to re-negotiate their contracts after 2 or 3 years. The studio will usually accede to this, because they don’t want to jeopardize a hit show, though the actors are technically in violation of their contracts.
But regardless, I also think in general Jared is moving away from SPN-only conventions anyway.  Not only because he has a fanbase outside of SPN and its genre, but he also he wants to find work for his Walker colleague where multi-fandom conventions are more suited.
