one night in Gotham, there’s some sort of disruption, strange magic, or curse. all of the Batkids go down and come back up with powers that reflect their vigilante personas in some way. Dick can fly, Jason has super strength, Tim can read minds nearby, etc. they freak out, try out the powers a little, and decide to return home early from patrol because Bruce is gonna be pissed, right? he’s going to want to figure this out and study it. Duke is laughing his ass off all the way home (he got called for backup while they were processing) and enjoying a boost to his own powers.
they get home and Bruce isn’t in the Cave. he’s not in the Manor, and Alfred doesn’t know where he went. Duke gets a hit on the distant grounds, out by the lake. It’s Bruce, but not Bruce. whatever strange kickback of magic/power that gave them their new abilities is nothing compared to this.
Gotham has possessed Bruce, in every single way possible. he’s perched on a cliff overlooking Gotham, dressed only in sweatpants, uncaring of the cold. his eyes are sunken pits into Gotham’s foundations. his teeth are the gleam of bone. he is so beautiful and so terrible, all at once.
their new abilities, these powers, are a boon. they’ll take back Gotham from the night, as he foot soldiers. but they will never have Bruce — Bruce — ever again. that is the price.

It irritates me alot when people say that making medic more compassionate is ''missing the point of his character'' when he is literally shown to be in the comics.... did you miss the part where he showed concern for both sniper and miss pauling's well being in comic 5 and 6.
His actions are a combination of genuine attachment + clinical interest and these things do not cancel out one another. He is always pushing boundaries and going against the grain and i think this is what led to him losing his license in the first place. He felt stifled by the rules imposed on him.
He is shown to be extremely passionate so it makes sense that he would use his endless fascination with medicine as a way to show his affection. He loves his friends so he will find a way to make them borderline indestructible. Malpractice is his love language.

Hot take: Bluey became such a massive hit because it's one of the few currently-running TV shows where parents and children are both treated as valuable people with rich inner lives.
After the death of the family sitcom, most shows are either: 1) aimed at children and show the parents as idiots who get in the way of the children's plans; 2) aimed at adults and show only childless single people; or (rarely) 3) family sitcoms where the parents and children are horrible people who hate their lives and yell a lot. So a show that portrays the children and the parents as people with interesting personalities who are doing their best and like spending time with each other filled a gap in the culture and people went crazy for it.

HE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER AFTER LEARNING SHE WAS JUST A BIRD
The whole show. The whole show. We have this long running character beat of Duck beloved she, as she truly is, is unloveable and once people see her to her very core they will abandon her. But simultaneously!!!!! We have this subtle plot building of fakir, fully aware the girl has feathers, falling in love with her! And it’s so slow it doesn’t come to the forefront until the very end and AAAAAAAAA the amount of times Duck laments how no one would care about her as a bird meanwhile fakir looks at her with the most adoring eyes shut up!! Shut up literally shut up!!!! People will love you for the things you hate about yourself and you’ll have no goddamn idea because you’re so wrapped up in how YOU see yourself!!!!! HE LOVED THAT LITTLE BIRD MORE THAN SHE HATED HERSELF
