Ok so I'm about 12 hours into Octopath Traveler 2, and I feel like I just got kicked in the chin.
This whole time, from when I finished the first game to now, I thought Hikari was a woman. I skipped all the cutscenes because I wasn't particularly interested in the story, but when I offhandedly looked up Hikari's wiki page, I had to do a double take.
Like...what? I've spent the last year thinking he was a woman! Everytime I saw fanart of Hikari with Olberic, I thought Hikari was a more lean female warrior to contrast against Olberic being built like a brick-shithouse!
I need to lay down. I wasn't expecting to get hit with that kind of reality check tonight.
