i think its so funny when people take the way donnie acts at face value even though its a horrible lie because he's a horrible liar, while understanding leo is bullshitting very well despite him actually being GOOD at bullshitting. many such cases

#personal #rottmnt #although tbf its probably because with leo its unpacked more thoroughly in the movie #donnie is not a morally ambiguous emotionally unavailable bad boy. he is very sensitive actually #he's a little crybaby /aff #and like this isnt hidden. he isnt SECRETLY sensitive or secretly caring its very out in the open actually #he's not hiding it well AT ALL AND THEY ALL KNOW IT LMAOOOOOOOO #i think donnie's perception of himself is somewhat earnest and somewhat. not? he DEFINITELY thinks he's more evil than he actually is #BGHFHDHGJFHG #i think what causes him to lash out and struggle to communicate is his inability to articulate his feelings #they are just too big for him. like its the exact opposite of robotic #he cant force himself to give a fuck but when he DOES its too much #so he yells and lashes out or he shuts down completely #honestly i think the perception of him being too sensitive being a problem makes way more sense than the perception of him being 'robotic'#when it comes to struggles in how his family sees him at least #even in little ways you can see him take it pretty personally when he's insulted #he struggles to blow things off #and i think it would also explain his tendency to like. visibly calm himself down when he gets upset? its a thing he does a lot in the show #he desperately wants to destroy that perception of him because he's trying so hard to close himself off #he doesn't want to be the sensitive one that cant take anything. it especially works in line with his shell #it was a big inspiration for canary continuity tbh. donnie should struggle with being the sensitive one in fic more #mikey is more empathetic and he's more emotional but donnie's quicker to feel offended or take things personally #BACKED UP HEAVILY BY CANON #that 'you can be honest with me! no hard feelings' - 'he's lyinggggggg'#like he's not upset with them babying him as much as he is with them genuinely finding it frustrating that he can fall behind like that #and just cannot take shit like that. so he tries to pull back and not seem as affected as he is #theyre a very cuddly family but mind you they can be actually mean to each other like that!!

i definitely have some criticism but the way the end was portrayed was neat

#ok so i do like the whole “great chaos” vs “great order” thing #i think that was pulled off very well #i also like the way the endermen speak telepathically #it makes sense in canon #and it just ties in very well #i *dont* like how the endermen and humans speak the same language #i think that could have been a great opportunity for a language barrier #(one of my favorite things in a series don’t ask me why)#that’s more personal preference tho #however. the plot itself #i. don’t like it!#i think the amnesia idea was just boring #and i don’t understand how you just??? don’t know you’re human???#like even if you’re wearing a pumpkin #and you’ve been memory wiped over and over again #that??? doesn’t change your species??#also doesn’t make sense that they’re able to speak telepathically #just because you were memory wiped doesn’t make you have powers???#i think if i walked up to someone with amnesia #and asked them to read my thoughts #they would tell me “i cant even read my own thoughts”#and “what the fuck are you talking about”#anyways i did like the writing style #and how they portrayed the end #just not the actual plot #this is of course my take and you’re allowed to think whatever you want #i will now proceed to tag #minecraft #minecraft endermen #minecraft the end

‼️ART TRIGGER WARNING: Mild body horror/gore

Sooooo I kinda unexpectedly deviated from what I would consider my normal art preferences here. Mostly because I’ve seen a lot of talented artists drawing their own renditions of menacing Puzzles fanart where he goes fully insane and whatnot. I wanted to also contribute to that trend somehow…although it’s slightly out of my usual comfort zone << especially with his recent design change of loosing his whole lower body lol. Adapting that into my art was an interesting experimental challenge

Here is my own take on Puzzles falling apart! Quite literally! I still wanted to add a bit of empathy in here for him tho— because I’m going to be so distraught if WOTFI 2024 is his resignation from the spotlight for good. His final bow on stage if you will; the grand finale of his performance before he departs in death (MAN I SURE HOPE HE DOESN’T DIE BUT THE FANDOM SPECULATIONS AND PARANOIA ARE GETTING TO MY HEAD. And it just seems like the narrative progression is leaning that way). Well not matter what happens to him this upcoming Saturday…this tragic TV guy has impacted me in unexpected ways and I’m just so glad we got to spend and entire year with his character. And he’s sure not gonna disappear from my art anytime soon. Hopefully I won’t be maiming him ever again after this though jksjsksp he’s suffered enough angst for now <3

Can we talk about how Karen definitely has some sort of PTSD because you can't just wake up one day with a knife and bloody hands and a dead coworker on your carpet one and then be fine. You don't get arrested and then almost strangled to death while in custody and be fine. You don't get kidnapped and threatened and then kill someone in self defense and be fine.

Roevember 2024 catch-up: Day 10 - Festival

At first, Set'ia wasn't at all willing to attend All Saints' Wake festival celebration, much less to dress up for the occasion. But Acklay and Zorazh weren't taking no for an answer this year, no no no - this year Set'ia is coming with them (and yes, she absolutely had no choice in the matter)! And who would've thought - she actually had fun dressing up and adopting the persona of a Radio Voidsent for the night!

Those Alastor horns and staff have been sitting in my mods folder for ages lol, so I might as well use it for this! Originally wanted to dress up Matheli, but Set'ia was a way batter candidate to match Alastor's vibes.
