Got a request: Jinx x Piltover reader who comes to the undercity a lot to see some action and excitement with Jinx thinking they’re from there only to find out that they’re from topside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Arcane preference zaunites] with a s/o from Piltover (viktor, ekko, silco, vander, jinx, vi, sevika)
In less than a week, I’ve gained 500 followers and over 20 requests, so I’ll ask you right away to please be patient. English isn’t my first language, and I don’t think I’ll be able to post more than two or three headcanons a week (since I also draw). I’m sorry to keep you waiting, but I just ask for a little patience. In the meantime, if you’d like to support me, you can follow me HERE (bluesky) even though I haven’t started posting seriously yet, or you can leave a tip HERE. That said, enjoy!
Viktor:
- The most versatile on the subject. He’s the first one who is constantly around the people of Piltover, studying and having his room at the academy, which is even located in a wealthy area.
- Generally, he doesn’t pay much attention to someone’s origins, but as the relationship grows more serious, memories of his early academy years become more vivid.
- Viktor is a chill guy, until he’s no longer chill, (at least the original one).
- Most heated discussions are likely to revolve around politics or events in the city. But as long as you don’t call the people from the Undercity “beasts,” “creatures,” “monsters,” “beings,” or “animals,” his anger won’t be directed at you.
- At some point, he won’t remember anymore that you’re from “different neighborhoods,” and since he needs a hand carrying things to the academy, he’ll start asking you to accompany him to the Undercity when he needs to make purchases or pick up pre-ordered items.
- And although it might scare or intimidate you at first, it won’t take long for you to get used to it.
- Although sooner or later, you’ll learn to change your clothes before going down to Zaun.
Ekko:
- The first meeting with Ekko is straight out of a book: you get caught in a crossfire, and before you can even begin mentally writing your will, an arm grabs you around the torso and pulls you away at such a high speed that you feel like throwing up.
- He can’t take people directly to the hideout, but he can offer you assistance as soon as you’re somewhere safer.
- This is why, the second time he saves you, he can’t help but joke about how it almost seems like you put yourself in danger on purpose, and that you could ask him out in a less dramatic way.
- Of course, he’s just joking to break the tension, but when you actually propose it, even just as a way to repay him, it’s the beginning of the end.
- Between your outfit and the fact that, having run into you twice in a crossfire, you were in some pretty dangerous places, the last thing he expected was for you to ask him to meet up at the bridge and then show up dressed like a Piltie.
- Before his meeting with Cait and the one with Jayce, this would’ve been a breaking point; he wouldn’t have shown up and would’ve just gone back. But now, even if he’s not thrilled, he’ll at least come over to complain that you didn’t tell him you were from the upper city.
- He’s resigned to this fate, but he still remains a bit suspicious and on guard, not knowing your political stance, why you were down there, or how you see the people from his city.
- Even as you become closer, he’ll never stop teasing you about your background. You’re drinking, and you drop your cup? “What a strange way Pilties have of drinking.”
Vander:
- Going down to Zaun without stopping by the Last Drop is a waste, which is why you’re lucky enough to run into the Hound of the underground right away. Not only is he one of the most influential people, but also one with a lot of connections.
- At Vander’s suggestion, you stay at the counter, and he uses the opportunity to ask you a few questions, curious: for example, why is someone from Piltover down in Zaun alone at that hour? What do you study, if you study, or what do you do for work, if you work.
- Vander is extremely sociable, and since he handles negotiations, he doesn’t hold hostility toward upper-city residents, though it’s rare to see them in these parts.
- It’s not even about flirting; he just wants to keep chatting and make sure he won’t have you on his conscience. He asks you to wait until closing, checks in on the kids to make sure everything’s okay and says goodnight, then walks you to the bridge.
- The more regular your visits to Zaun become, the more the other regulars at the Last Drop start to recognize you and get used to you, making that place quite pleasant. And then there’s the deal with the bartender: if you offer him a good chat, he’ll treat you to a good pint of beer.
- The toughest part of getting close to Vander is learning that he’s a single father to four kids, and seeing the hostile and shocked reaction of the younger ones when they find out you’re not from their city.
- But hate is taught, and even if it takes some time, they slowly start to get used to you. Maybe they won’t jump into your arms, but if you decide to stay over, they’ll make room for you or bring you something to dry your face with, in strict silence.
Silco:
- This man, though he may not look like it, is the embodiment of patience.
- It’s his goons who bring you to his office, and the first time, all it takes is a quick glance for him to know you’re not a spy, a rival, a drug addict, or a threat.
- Silco kills, but generally not without reason. So, the first time you have a heart-pounding panic attack from being dragged there, you get off with a warning: if they catch you poking around his business again, it won’t go so well for you.
- But today, Janna’s on your side, and you’re safe.
- The issue is much simpler than it seems: if you live in the Undercity, you know which places to avoid and which gangs control which areas. But if you’re just a foolish Piltie who likes wandering outside your own city, the odds of ending up in one mess after another are high.
- That’s why, the second time they catch you near one of their shipments, his goons already have their weapons drawn.
- This time it’s not even Silco who spares you; instead, a firefight with the Firelights breaks out nearby, and you’re just lucky that bigger problems show up at the right moment.
- It happens repeatedly: either you run into his goons and instinctively wave like an idiot, or you end up in restricted areas, and one of them who’s taken a liking to you motions for you to leave, or you start frequenting the Last Drop and see them all more often.
- Gradually, this brings you more often—and with less dread—to the kingpin’s office, who, since even his daughter likes you, first makes sure to get you a map of the Lanes because “you’re obviously so clueless you must be from Piltover” to keep you from getting yourself killed.
- Then he realizes you’re pleasant enough to let you hang out in his office on weekends, when the noise downstairs is so loud that he couldn’t work anyway.
Jinx:
- You’re essentially the “dumb Piltie” stereotype that comes to mind when people in Zaun talk about those from the upper city.
- Deciding to venture into the alleys without any experience or knowledge of the area purely out of curiosity wasn’t your brightest idea, but at this point, it’s too late to turn back.
- That’s why, after hours spent looking for something interesting—colorful explosions that have been common recently near the docks, some chase scenes—you find nothing, give up, and throw yourself into a bar.
- If it were evening, you might hope for more than just a jukebox playing country music, four young guys playing pool in a corner, and a girl sitting at the bar who looks half-asleep while the bartender cleans glasses, but you still decide to sit down and order something local.
- Everyone’s eyes are on you, but the moment the girl with long blue braids lifts her head, the others snap back to what they were doing, and she looks at you, still drowsy and a bit confused.
- Meeting Jinx is the beginning of the end; she rambles on, is relaxed, and the moment she hears you wanted action, she jumps off her stool and drags you out before you can even sip your drink.
- She has no particular reason—it's just rare to find someone who wants to have fun, although you quickly realize that her idea of “fun” involves risking your neck.
- The first time ends like that; you don’t even exchange names. When it gets late, she vanishes, leaving you no choice but to return to the bar in the following weeks, where you meet her again and pick up on that fun “tour.”
- This “tour” brings you closer, even if you never talk about deeply personal things because there’s never time.
- It’s one night when you’re sitting together on a rooftop, watching the distant lights of Piltover, that she learns the hard truth: you’re from the other side of the river. This single piece of information seems to destroy everything you had built. Without a word, she runs off, and you don’t find her at the bar at the usual time anymore, but you don’t stop trying.
- The bartender probably tells her, or she sees you, who knows, because weeks later you meet again, and she almost looks sad to see you.
- She expected you to give up, not to keep coming back despite how difficult she’d made it, which is why when you pull her into a hug, she stiffens, taking a while to hug you back.
- The closer you get, the more she becomes like a ghost. You even find her at your place, but you never see her on the streets in Piltover. She rarely stays over, but you know it’s because of personal issues.
Vi:
- Vi isn’t for everyone: she’s for those with a “savior complex” or hotheads who can take a couple of punches to the face.
- The reason you’re in Zaun, dressed incognito, is because your colleagues told you there’s some interesting stuff in the underground city’s shops.
- What you didn’t expect was that the “interesting find” curled up behind an abandoned building would be a person.
- Nothing too serious, just a brawl gone wrong. She’d hidden to tend to her wounds in peace, probably in that vulnerable “cornered wolf showing its teeth” state.
- Cooperation isn’t her strong suit, and, not to rely on Undercity stereotypes, but you imagine it’s also rare for anyone to help strangers wounded on the street.
- She becomes more docile after you simply stand by, “covering her back”—basically just staying put and shielding her from view.
- whenyou blurt out, “Forget gin; I need something stronger.” she starts to like you
- Once she recovers, she gestures for you to follow her, suddenly motivated by the urge to drink. Surprisingly, she takes you over the bridge to your own city, to a cozy pub that smells of wood.
- Drinking there becomes a habit; after a few drinks, you tell her you hate that the evening has to end, and she chuckles, flattered, before saying you can always do it again.
- And you do it again.
- You keep doing it until you end up kissing clumsily in the pub’s restroom, nearly knocking heads together, until she pins you to the wall and your brain signals a warning.
- You tell her you live nearby, suggesting you take things to your place, unknowingly revealing something you thought was obvious.
- She stares at you for a few confused seconds. “You didn’t tell me,” she says, but the truth is, Vi doesn’t hate upper-city people, so once the confusion passes, the alcohol and hormones work their magic, leaving that conversation as a problem for the next morning.
Sevika:
- Her only interactions with people from the upper city have been with Enforcers, but contrary to appearances, Sevika is a big, intimidating dog that’s actually quite tame.
- She doesn’t get her hands dirty unless necessary, so even though she has no fondness for Pilties, she’d never start a physical fight with one.
- You first see her in the Undercity, at the Last Drop, playing cards for a hefty sum of money against two shady types: one bald with a metal nose, and the other dressed like an out-of-place gentleman.
- It’s only when the game ends and she gets up to head to the bar that you clumsily manage to strike up a conversation, receiving nothing but a scrutinizing glance in return.
- She lets you buy her a drink despite the large sum she just pocketed, and when you compliment her on her play, she puffs up with pride and starts talking about how those two just cheated but still couldn’t win.
- For a moment—just a moment—she realizes she’s never seen you around here before, but then she goes back to talking and listening, fueled by the alcohol.
- Getting her out of your head becomes impossible, and if you catch her at the end of her shift, she’s even more relaxed. It doesn’t take many weeks before you find yourself with your knees over her shoulders in the Last Drop’s basement.
- Emotional or mental intimacy with Sevika comes at an incredibly slow pace, but she starts approaching you in the bar, and your “private encounters” become more and more frequent—until you try to make things more serious by inviting her up.
- Her reaction seems angry, but it’s more surprise; she hadn’t realized and didn’t expect it.
- She becomes a lot more guarded around you, until, in time, she learns to trust you again.

sevika x oblivious!reader ♡ PART 1 [feel free to send requests, asks etc! i respond to everything :) + i defo need to make a badass reader x sevika to make up 4 this > i write for ALL of age characters smut is fine]
PART 2 HERE
₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• How could you have possibly made it this far all by your lonesome in the undercity?? Almost oblivious to anyones advances, threats etc. Your last minute judgement has to have come in clutch many times.
• Having said that; obviously sevika is going to raise an eyebrow as you walk past her,
• She sat in her booth, playing a game of poker with two conspicuous-looking men (to say the least.) A cigarillo hung from her thick lips and smoke puffed out of her nose as she glanced up.
• A man follows you (cocky fella) spewing nonsense about how he so badly wanted to get to know you and how "you should come grab a drink with me, all on my tab sweetheart."
• She shook her head; this didn't snag her attention, as the man was a regular, always harassing the prettiest woman he could find at the bar. What did snag her attention was your response.
• "Oh...sure! Why not ?" You laughed, undoubtedly carefree and unaware of the man's advances. Now this THIS is what made her lips curl downward into a sneer.
• How could someone be so stupid. Seriously. What part about this guy didnt scream "creep." Were there not flashing red lights going off in your head telling you to turn the other way and make a run for it?
•Although this wasnt normally the kind of thing she bothered to pay attention to she continued to keep an eye on you as you walked toward the bar with him.
• However, the game of cards draws her attention away from the two of you. The man to her right groans at her card selection before shuffling through his.
• This was going to be another easy cash night huh. She thought, her eyes wandering back to where you sat. The man next to you now a bit too close for comfort.
• "I dont see you 'round here often missy" The man drawls, smirking at you. His fingers traced the rim of your glass slowly, barely missing your fingertips.
• "Yeah im...im not around here often.. tonight jus- " You were cut off by his hand on yours.
• "A pretty lady shouldnt be out at night all by 'er self, who knows what might snag 'er up, yeah?" His grip on yours was just a bit too tight.
• "Thats true..I was going to head home soon anyways. Thank you for your concern." You half smiled at him, now feeling the uncomfortable tension between you.
• The man took your smile as a green light to do whatever the fuck he wants and he leans in closer to your face. Before he can even bring his lips within the radius of your face the slam of metal separates you two.
• A mechanical device whirrs between you, parts clanking and activating: acting as a barrier. Your drink spills onto the floor, just narrowly missing your leg.
• You look up to see the weilder of said device glaring straight foward, not looking at either of you. Although her lips settle into a tight line; disdain etched into her (quite stunning) features. You could feel the heat of her body just inches away from yours.
• "Um...were we in your way-" You are cut off by her unexpectedly deep angry tone.
• "Lance, get the fuck out of here." She spat, now turning her head to look at him. Ah so thats his name.
• Her body was turned to face yours, her large frame mostly blocked your view from Lance, but it was pretty obvious he up and left without a word of retaliation.
• You eyed her questioningly scanning her lean (buff) frame.
• "You dont know a man thats trying to get in your pants when you see one?" She spoke firmly, turning her head to you.
• "I dont think he was.." You recalled all the events in the past five minutes and sighed internally "Mmfuck"
• Sevika took a draw of her cigar, watching you piece everything together, "So you really are stupid? I thought you were playing dumb." She scoffed.
• She couldnt lie, you were beautiful, its a shame that all the men in the bar have probably eyed you atleast once since you walked in. This thought made her lips twitch downward.
• "Bartender," Her voice booms "Get her another whiskey."
• Sevika ordering for a woman?? Absolutely unheard of. She means buisness. The bartender quickly grabs your drink offering a smile (that looked more out of fear than anything else) to Sevika.
• All the regulars know she only comes to the bar to either: A) Gamble B) Drink or C) beat someones ass. And despite her rough demeanor her actions were uncharacteristically...nice?
• "Thank you," You smiled up at her "I need to get better at that kind of thing"
• She slid into the barstool next to yours, where Lance had previously sat. "Is this your first time in the undercity? If not im suprised you havent been killed yet"
• Her question went unanswered as you watched the spread of her legs when she sat down, she has thick; definitely toned thighs. You swear you can see the muscle even with her pants on. Your eyes travel upward to look at her ever so slightly visible abs-
• "Hey, do you have nothing going on up there?" She sneered at you, now getting up from her stool. She was quickly irritated.
• "Im sorry, but you're gorgeous. Whats your name?" You ask, catching her gaze as she stood.
• She makes an incredulous expression for a second before going stone faced again "Be careful with what you say to strangers"
• Your drink arrives and she nods her head towards it before walking away, not leaving any room for you to thank her.
• Right as you're about to stare at her confident walk back to her booth a voice interrupted your thoughts, "Thats Sevika, Silcos second hand man." The bartender spoke.
• He knew you werent new, you had been coming for several years, but only casually. The only reason you stook out to him was because of you're genuine kindness when you spoke to him, not demeaning or demanding drinks.
• In return he usually warded off the men and women trying to snag you up and take you home.
• At his words you turned to look at her, but she was already staring back at you. Her gaze dark and almost hungry. You shivered at that, breaking eyecontact first.
• You didn't feel like drinking any longer, aching for the warmth of your home. You took a sip of whiskey and waved at the bartender before hopping off your stool to start towards the exit.
• You passed Sevikas booth on your way out, the men at her table eyed you and one wolf whistled loudly.
• Sevikas eye twitched as she waited for you to exit the vicinity. She made note of the bell ring when you opened and closed the door to the bar.
• She wasted absolutely no time to jump on the man who wolf whistled, grabbing him by the collar and delivering an unforgiving punch to his face with her mechanical arm.
You definitely would be meeting again.

depollute me, gentle angel -`✮´- ljn
the feeling of falling in love has never been so sweet <3
genre/tw jeno x reader!! fluff so sweet it’ll rot your teeth! baby & honey used as petnames, jeno being shy and wonderful and in love, minor dreamies features, kissing, the honeymoon phase personified, gender neutral reader! mostly unedited.
w/c 1217
a/n well its been a minute since i’ve written for one of my dreamies, but i hope you like this one <3 i wrote it quick in the middle of the night, and i hope you can tell, its just the tone this love needs 🫀 please enjoy and let me know if you liked it!!
Tumblr media
Jeno has never been in love.
When he was younger he thought he might be, a distant memory of a smile, a slight graze of cold hands. Butterflies in his belly and pink cheeks… but those feelings were always fleeting, a quick rush before the fluttering went away.
No Jeno has never been in love, but he think he might be. Two months ago, you walked up to him in the park, pretty lips drawing up; your smile so dashing he had to return it. That smile turned to a phone number, a phone number to a shared cup of coffee—He can’t believe a question about directions have led you here…
You look so sweet under the streetlight, skin aglow and eyes alight.
The pavement is isolated, no one else but the two of you breathing. His hand urges to hold yours, but he can’t trust his palms not to be clammy; He can’t trust his fingers not to shake or the blood not to rush to his face. He wonders if this is being in love, if the feeling always causes discomfort… he wonders if you feel this way too, if the pads of your fingers ache with the need to touch him, the way his do.
Earlier in the night you’d met his friends, grinning the whole time and telling jokes like you’d known them forever. So beautiful, he thought, like a picture that wasn’t finished until you were painted in.
Jeno knows he probably looked silly and love struck, so obvious in his affection that Hyuck made annoying whipping sounds, and Mark pinched his red hot face.
He couldn’t help but smile thinking about it, his lips lifting so high his eyes become crescents—a perfect picture of joy, so alluring you can’t help but ask,
“What’s got you so happy, baby?”
“Nothing, just glad you liked them is all.”
And you did, you liked Jaemin and his quiet chaos, Jisung and his hesitant happiness at the older boys mischief. Yes, you like them, and how could you not when you see Jeno in them all.
He’s there in their laughter and their harmless jokes, you can hear him in them, and you love them for it.
“Well, you love them, Jen… so how could I not?” You see the impact this has on him, the shaky breath he releases into the cold air and the way his strong hand clenches with nerves. He hasn’t touched you all night, too shy and too infatuated, so you reach out to him. Your hands coming to grasp at his arms, rubbing gently at his shoulder blades. He wraps himself around you so quickly, almost like he was waiting for you to say it was okay—such a sweet boy he is, waiting for permission even when it’s always a yes.
You met him in a moment quite like this, quiet and intimate… strangers then but not now.
You thought he was handsome and when he asked for your phone number you were convinced it was a joke. How could someone as lovely as him want to know you? but he did, and now he’s here with you: his face in your neck, and you love him you really do.
You feel his lips first, pressing the sweetest kisses behind your ear and smiling into your hair. Every touch a confession, every caress a promise from a devotee to his deity.
You love him, you love him, you love him.
“You make me so shy, honey…” He says, “so so shy, it’s like I could forget my own name.
“You don’t make me shy… you make me feel alive.” You tell him, and you mean it.
Every moment with Jeno is like accelerating on an empty freeway, like you might just fly if you drive fast enough.
He’s silent after you speak, the passing cars being the only sound around for miles. A quiet so deep, you’d be scared if it wasn’t for Jeno’s strong arms around your waist.
He isn’t scared of your confession; his silence is not fear, it's not doubt, but he needs to do this right. He needs you to understand that he’s new to this, that he’s busy and imperfect, but he loves you. He loves your laugh, the way it’s not pretty or sexy, but loud and silly and so wholly you. He loves the little scars on your hands—marks so old you don’t know where they came from. He loves your smile, your eyes, the way you love his friends and they loved you…
When you went to the bathroom at the restaurant, the boys all smiled at him, but it was Jaemin—Jaemin who’d been quiet all evening—who grabbed his hand and said, good job, puppy , you really did it!
He really did it, he thinks, he found you…
When he speaks again, its with an assurance that's unfamiliar under a streetlight at midnight. So strong with his conviction, your body draws impossibly closer to him.
“I’m so grateful you came up to me that day, y’know. I remember the whole thing, your blue coat and your yellow umbrella… I needed you then, I knew it, I can’t believe how badly I needed you.” He keeps shaking his head, and his hand is weaving its way closer to the back of your head… fingers reaching out to clutch the point your spinal cord meets your skull. “I’m so glad the boys liked you, I don’t know what I’d do if they didn’t…”
“Why wouldn’t they like me, baby?” You ask, “I love you too much for them not too.”
His smile is electric, 80 miles per hour down a dirt road… a smile that makes you feel like flying.
Jeno’s eyes close, laughter so happy it hurts you, and then he’s kissing you. Lips in your hair, reaching down to swipe against the slope of your neck. Butterfly kisses on your jaw, kisses so tender it fills your heart with an pain so sweet, so heartbreakingly beautiful.
When his kiss reaches your mouth, hovering against you and breathing in the carbon your body’s releasing, you wish you could paint this moment—trap it in canvas and hang it above your couch.
“I love you so much, honey, so so much.”
And then his lips are on yours. It’s like he wants to bruise, his kiss taking and taking, breathing you in like it’s all he needs to survive. Every cell, every vein, every muscle and every bone in his body needs you. His heart is beating so fast, he doesn’t know if his arteries can keep up, if he has enough strength to keep standing.
Your blood sings with want, a hunger for his affection that is foreign under this pocket of light.
You love him, you think, you love him and he loves you…
How wonderful a concept, to love and be loved, to have and to hold and whatever nonsense people promise to each other.
You love him and he loves you.
He pulls away from you with a resistance you can relate to, a soft smile gracing his handsome face, as pretty as the stars blotted out around you.
He takes your hand as says,
“Let's go home, huh, wanna love you where it’s warm.”
And you can’t think of anything better.

Someone ( @ohai-there ) asked me if I had any thoughts ab mdtb weeks "cultural differences" prompt, so, like, take just the copy pasted reply I gave them (+ some extra) :
I was up all night drawing birthday art and am this 👌 close to blacking out for x amount of hours so this risks being nonsensical fair warning
Uhhh culture shock my beloved, let's seee
Easy answer is the senju are very touchy feely, easily and willingly sleeps around (they face a lot less risk of bloodline theft due to rarity of the mokuton so there isn't as much ingrained cultural fear of being assulted/facing the baby shaped consequences of sleeping around willy nilly)
They can take multiple spouses and it's actually rare for the head of house to have only one wife (Hashirama is an exception bc Mito is a Princess(tm) and so to take another wife would risk offending her own clan culture, he is fine with this and they possibly often take others to bed with them just for funzies (potential hashimitoizu noises(?)))
Uhh anyways so that, they're super liberal with touch, etc. Etc.
Also they don't really do crazy deep romance and are super used to casual no strings attached flings, you have to make yourself VERY clear in what you're doing if you want to actually start a fr relationship bc otherwise many "courtship" behaviors are just like. Casual, culturally acceptable flirting and invitations to bang (the senju have a 101 different ways to proposition eachother in flower language alone.)
Meanwhile the Uchiha are on the total opposite side of the spectrum— they're like super conservative (In contrast to the Senju not having an ingrained fear of bloodline hunters, their very valuable and very vulnerable kekkei genkkei makes them prime victims, which has lead them having generations of trauma fueled insane abstinence lessons)
+ They're a noble clan and regularly interact with the Daimyo's court, so there's even more etiquette culture ingrained into them so they can send anyone into court if needed (While the Senju, who are NOT a noble clan, only ever send their main house, and so only they have to even worry about court etiquette)
They do not believe in divorce, they do not believe in political marriages (tho they do happen very very rarely, it's seen as very sad and tragic when it does) they... sometimes believe in multiple spouses, in specific situations (they can't regularly interact w the daimyo's court and not have to face it as a concept, after all)
So like. Super up tight, hella rules about how to show affection and proper ways to conduct yourselves, months long courting rituals before u even get to kissing, to sleep together before marriage is SINFUL
But they're ALSO super fucking romantic and absolutely insane about having soulmates and one true loves and are just super intense ab all that romance stuff where the senju are super relaxed in it
I think u see where this is going
Anyways uhhh
They make a village and there's tons of culture shock
Then Tobirama, being Tobirama (standoffish and cold, not especially interested in the usual wild Senju sex parties or whatever tf kind of events they're hosting in the gardens) is like, among the most "normal" to the Uchiha (from a cultural standpoint)
And bc of that, Madara maybe interacts w him more like "well he's kind of awful but at least he's not a sex FREAK like the rest of these Senju WHORES"
Umm Madara tries to court Tobirama but Tobirama sees it as him only trying to bang (?)
Which he possibly doesn't even want to do
Tobirama is like "Ah man, if only he were interested in actual courtship, but he has only given me the Senju flowers of "I wish to ravish you in the fields" and not the senju flowers of "I am potentially interest in maybe going on a date" (a proposition that a)he received not too infrequently, and so was not odd, and b) he politely rejected by accepting the flowers then showing Madara that he had planted it in red soil)
Meanwhile, Madara is like. "Wow this courtship is going so great he's accepting all my Uchiha flowers of pure devotion and innocent love in bloom"
Just in general, their clans having different flower meanings could be funny actually. The Uchiha regularly interact with court so I think they'd have to have, like, "normal" flower meanings (or else theres be some implications there of how theye gotten so far while using incorrect flower meanings in genuinely important events) so that means its the Senju who have odd meanings for flowers-- which also works, bc, like, mokuton
however many years ago, a previous descendant with mokuton told his clansmen the ""real"" meaning of these flowers,,, u wouldnt get it,,,
Another fun route could be, like, the Uchiha method of declaring ones intentions to court someone also happens to be the Senju's method of declaring a feud.
Madara tries to flirt with Tobirama only for Tobirama to understand this as Madara telling him to his face that the peace may be ongoing but he'll always hate his bitch ass !!!

Giving In (to the Love): Once More to See You
4th chapter
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Being in her presence had an unclear effect on you, but how far would you allow yourself to go with it? WC: 3K PAIRING: Vi x Fem!Reader WARNINGS: alcohol, underage driving, miscommunication A/N: let's pretend we didn't watch the last episode of arcane girls Previous chapter
Waking up to another headache from drinking had you thinking you really needed to refuse having your glass refilled. You sit on the bed and take in your surroundings, it was strange to wake up at someone else's bedroom, someone you barely knew.
As you were getting up, you could hear laughter coming from the living room. Your phone was still on the night stand so you grabbed it and opened the door.
"So you just punched him?” a familiar voice asked.
"Yeah, had to—" Violet turned her head around and saw you standing by the door frame, she was about to grab a cup from the cupboard, "Morning, sunshine."
"Good morning," you answer while she's filling the cup with coffee, then hands it to you, "Uh..."
"Cait made it, don't worry," she says when she sees your face twisted in disgust, the clear memory of a coffee made by Violet still haunting you.
"Cait?" you ask in confusion then walk to the table and see your best friend sitting with her own cup of coffee between her hands. Caitlyn greets you and smiles, "Hey, what are you doing here?"
"I had to bring some stuff and Vi told me you were here, so I stayed," she replies and takes a sip at her coffee. You nodded in response and drank your own coffee, listening to them chatting about what happened last night with that costumer Violet had to kick out.
Your headache wasn't as painful anymore but you could feel your body asking for water. Just when you were about to ask Vi for it, she hands you a bottle and winks at you. Feeling your cheeks already warm, you thank her and drink, your throat getting finally hydrated and more fresh. Caitlyn was watching you curiously, seeing your face heated up after that small interaction with Violet but she said nothing about it. Instead, she finished her coffee and got up from her seat, saying she had to go back to work or else Marcus would literally kill her.
"Already?" Violet asked her, getting up herself and grabbing her keys while Caitlyn walked to the door.
"Yes, but I'll text you the rest of the details later." Caitlyn says before waving you goodbye and walking out of the apartment with Violet behind her.
You sit there in silence, staring at the mug; it had little drawings on it, very colorful just like the ones hanged on the wall downstairs, and one single letter "V" on the side. Was this Violet's mug? Maybe her sister made it for her, it certainly was a few years old, you could tell the colors were a bit washed out.
While you were inspecting that, something on the table catches your attention; an envelope directed to Violet, sealed with a stamp you'd recognize anywhere. It was the Kiramman's stamp. Your stomach twists in a knot and you grab the envelope, refusing to believe Caitlyn would write a letter to Violet. It seemed impossible, you knew Caitlyn, she wouldn't do that kind of thing for a random person— so this meant they were really close, for her to even use her family stamp on it.
"Why do I even care?" you think to yourself, unable to figure out the reason behind this awkward feeling, but you couldn't stop looking at the envelope, a million questions going through your mind at the same time.
The door slides open and you rapidly leave the envelope where it was, your heart beating fast at the sight of Violet walking in. She catches your fast movement and looks at you confused but she shrugs it off and walks to be beside you, holding herself with one hand on the back of your chair. Being this close to each other was too much for your nervous system.
"So," she begins, "shall we get into it, cupcake?" Feeling blood rushing to your cheeks and your heart beating faster than before, you stare at her in disbelief, unable to formulate a single word, and her eyes widen. She laughs outloud and covers her face with one hand, you couldn't understand what was so funny for her while you were feeling like your heart was a little bird trying to get free from your ribcage. After a few minutes of hysterical laughter from her, she clarifies, "I meant studying."
Oh God.
That did nothing to help you calm down, you felt so stupid and embarrassed. What were you even thinking? Of course she meant studying, that's why you were here in the first place. That was the whole reason you got to meet her at all.
You let out an awkward chuckle and nod, then go grab your bag and take out the same things you used the day before for her tutoring. Taking your previous seat, you start your lesson.
The red light was on as Caitlyn waited, her hands on the steering wheel and her fingers softly hitting on it; her brain was working a thousand miles per hour, trying to figure out a strategy for the case she was currently assigned to. She could hear her mother in the back of her head, saying "You have to earn all of this."
Once the red light turned to green, she continued driving to the office. Looking for a place to park wasn't difficult, she had her own special spot, a big hand-written like sign with her name on it. She got out of the car and sighed, looking up at the building with her eyes furrowed; it was still on remodelation, some of the letters were missing and the new door gave an imponent feeling, it was beautifully hand-made, its frame had little details of gold and the thin windows on both sides allowed the insides to be seen. Of course, you couldn't miss the big 'CK' carved on the panels of the door.
Although her relationship with her mother was a bit rough on the edges, she had to give it to her— she had amazing taste. Remodelating was Cassandra's idea, she thought giving a new image would suit the firm, she wanted to tell they were not stuck in the past. They were moving forward. And that's something Caitlyn agreed on completely.
Caitlyn was greeted with a pile of papers laying on her desk and a little note saying "Quick" on its side. She was tired of this meaningless paperwork, but knowing that if she could finish it early then Marcus would let her dive fully into what really mattered: her new case.
It wasn't long ago she was assigned to it after tiredlessly trying to convince her boss; he had said she wasn't experienced enough so he would look for someone else to assist him, but if Caitlyn had a remarkable virtue— or flaw, it was her stubborness. In the end, he ended up agreeing to make use of her unexperienced assistance under the condition of overworking her with all that meaningless paperwork.
To no one's surprise, Cassandra wasn't fond of the idea of Caitlyn helping such a delicate case like this. She prefferred her to dedicate her education and time to more lucrative ones, or like she calls them, "educational"; cases where her daughter would have to defend wealthy tycoons who spent their lives taking advantage of their privileges to commit crimes or abuse their position.
"Hurry up, Kiramman." Marcus was standing by the door, watching Caitlyn carefully as she wrote down on her notebook. She nodded without taking her eyes off the papers, her hand working rapidly on those letters. "Take those to my office once you're done."
She heard his footsteps getting away and stopped for a minute, it felt like she had been working all day on this and it was barely half way done. Looking at the little clock on her desk, it was a bit past lunch time and her stomach was growling at her, pleading for something more than just the coffee she had for breakfast.
Putting her pen down, she got up from her seat and walked towards the cafeteria. One of the requests she had made to her mother when she offered her the job was to treat her like any other intern, no cafeteria privilege either, so she got in line like everyone else and waited for her turn to order.
Once her sandwich and, of course, coffee were ready, Caitlyn took a seat near the window. Her mind was too focused on her case of interest, she felt personally and emotionally involved— which under no circumstance should happen, but it did and she couldn't stop thinking about it. Being able to help such a dear friend of hers was worth all the effort and extra hours she had to do.
Violet broke into her life by coincidence. Actually, more like by a literal accident; Caitlyn almost got crashed by Vi's little sister who had decided she wanted to drive Vi's motorbike and so she did. While Caitlyn was parking her car in front of her best friend's building, she heard someone yelling at her and before she could react, the little blue haired teenager crashed her open door. After many half apologies and some insults from Jinx, Caitlyn was taken to The Last Drop to meet the real owner of the vehicle.
She was already familiar with the place but only from outside, never dared to cross the door given its reputation and the prejudice she carried in the back of her mind, always present. Violet actually apologized to her and reprimended her younger sister, called the inssurance and made sure to give Caitlyn everything she needed to make the claim and then offered her a drink.
That afternoon, after some disgusting coffee made by Violet, was life changing for her. They chatted and Caitlyn found out they took a few classes together, but they never met each other because of Vi regularly skipping. Her never ending curiosity served to make Violet tell her a bit about her life and the bar, she said that it has been closed for a few days due to a tragedy and her ownership was at stake since someone named Silco wanted to sue her for it.
It didn't seem fair that Violet should lose her father's legacy because of an old society that held no legal weight, so Caitlyn offered to help. She put the accident aside and decided this was the reason for her to be working in the firm, these were the kind of cases she wanted to work on; she wanted to help people as much as she could.
Those memories stood deeply in her heart even now as she was finishing her sandwich. She returned to the office more motivated than before and kept working, hoping Marcus wouldn't bother her until it was finished.
Violet waved goodbye to her tutor and closed the door behind her, walking upstairs and getting into her apartment again. It was late in the afternoon and she'd have to open the bar soon and prepare everything to receive the usual customers.
Not many people went drinking during the week days but the ones who did were always at The Last Drop, ready to spend the rest of the night sulking or causing trouble; Vi didn't mind that, she got used to dealing with drunk men and was happy to show them some moves and kick them out. They always came back and apologized once they were sober, then asked for their usual drinks again.
Even though she spent most of her day studying and taking notes, she felt refreshed and full of energy— it didn't feel tiring or draining, the way her tutor explained different concepts and stated the connection between them, how she would prepare actual drinkable coffee for both of them; Violet would make an exception and have some as well, then watch how the other girl's face twists when she realizes her coffee is too hot and burns her tongue a bit, looking back at Vi and laughing.
The little breaks they took in between allowed Violet to get to know her a bit better, to ask about her interests or listen to her anecdotes, her complains about some of the classes which were proving to be harder than expected; she paid more attention to that than the lesson itself. When she cried that night, it had moved Violet— she wasn't expecting that kind of reaction after joking about what Powder used to say, and although the girl was sobbing, she didn't take pity on neither of them, she didn't make any comment about how sorry she was or how strong Violet must have been to deal with any of it, she just cried and then laughed at herself for being too drunk.
She checked her phone and saw a text from Powder, saying "Ooooout tonight sis!" and sighed, then received a second one from Ekko telling her that he had invited her sister over to watch Scream's whole saga and eat burgers. Rolling her eyes at how dramatic her younger sister was and how much she enjoyed making her worry, she put her phone away and got into the shower.
Hot water dripping down her body was all Violet needed before work so after being all cleaned up, she got changed into her usual bartender attire, a black shirt and trousers, and headed downstairs. She turned the neon lights on and played some music, then opened the doors and stayed behind the counter, waiting for people to start coming in.
Her mind drifted for a bit, remembering she wouldn't have the next lesson until next week. That bumped her down a little, she was hoping it would become a regular thing, like part of her routine, since she already got used to having her tutor around— which was unsettling.
"She's just doing her job." She reminded herself while pouring whisky on a glass for her own delight. Violet knew she enjoyed her company but wasn't sure what her tutor thought of her; she seemed a bit awkward when they were together, avoiding her gaze or fidgeting. Perhaps she didn't like her that much since Violet did post that embarrassing picture of her after all.
Vi grabbed her phone and instantly deleted that post she had made the night of the party, not caring anymore about the exams or the tutoring lessons, all she wanted was to at least befriend that girl. She thought about asking Caitlyn, but what would she even ask about? Why did she care so much?
She decided to take matters into her own hands and stop acting like an anxious teenage girl, so she typed a simple question and clicked to send it then immediately put her phone down. God, what was wrong with her?
You were completely exhausted, combining tutoring and studying for your own classes was taking its toll on you. It was a relief Violet understood you would be busy for the rest of the week since you were far behind on some key topics for the upcoming tests.
"Keep reading this last book and take notes." You had told her earlier before leaving her apartment.
"I'll surprise you, cupcake." She had answered, making you blush with that stupid nickname.
Your exams should take priority, you knew that, but part of the reason you decided to take a break from her was because of the envelope— you felt completely out of place, Violet had some kind of effect on you which was unclear to you just yet, but you didn't want to get in between anything. If there was something going on between her and your best friend.
Taking the left overs from the fridge, you take a seat on the couch and turn on the TV. Your mind was far away and you couldn't pay attention to the romcom playing in front of you, these people were so lucky it made you envious.
On the little table beside the couch, your phone made its particular sound alerting someone had sent you a message. You unlocked it and scrolled through your notifications; most of them were from group chats, people taking the same classes as you discussing which topic was more likely to appear in the exam and helping each other with some questions. You keep scrolling until your best friend's name pops up, she had texted you last night when you were completely wasted at Violet's place, saying she still needed your help with her current case and asking when would you be available for that. Sighing heavier than needed, you answer that she was welcome to bring food this weekend and you'd be happy to assist.
Guilt was flooding your senses, it wasn't fair to Caitlyn that you were feeling like this— she hadn't done anything wrong. Who could blame a girl for having a life? Certainly not you. But you just wanted to know what was going on without coming off as nosy, which you were.
She replied straight away saying she'd bring your favourite food as a way of thanking you. Laughing at her exaggeration, you keep scrolling until one message makes your eyes widen. It was from Violet. Your heart pace quickened as you read her text, which said "wanna come see me boxing this weekend?"
Unable to difere a thought from another, you stare at the little letters on your screen uncapable of believing she would invite you anywhere. Did this mean you were getting closer? Maybe she just wanted to fill an empty space cheering for her.
"Sure, should I bring a cheering sign?" You asked jokingly, trying to act cool and less like a nervous mess.
"make it pink and bright." Violet replied almost instantly, making you laugh softly in the solitude of your apartment. You definitely didn't care about studying anymore, this was all you were looking forward to now.
"I'll be your number one fan then."
"you better." Smiling to yourself at her answer, you decide to head to bed and sleep everything off.

The office door fell shut with a clang. Levi tossed the envelope onto the desk, then turned around to face you. You expected him to scold you, but he said nothing. He just stood there and stared at you, one foot tapping the floor in an irritated manner, like he was waiting for something. The silence was hard for you to bear.
"So I take it the drawings are not to your liking, then?" you asked tentatively.
"Now what gave you that impression?" he deadpanned.
"Maybe the way you immediately ordered me into your office after seeing them? Though I guess it could also be to express admiration for my outstanding artistry in private…"
"Certainly not," he huffed. He was scowling again.
"Didn't think so," you murmured. So much for lightening the mood. He really was angry, after all. Maybe you should work on defending yourself.
"You asked to see them, I gave them to you. I did exactly as you told me. So what's the problem, exactly? I can't read your mind."
"Tch," he made. "Guess I need to spell it out for you."
"That would be nice," you said. Though you could already imagine what it was.
"The problem isthis." He pulled out the topmost drawing from the envelope and pushed it in your direction without looking at it. "Why am I like that?"
You gave it a quick glance. He was leaning against the wall, one hand up in his hair, making his bared chest muscles stretch. You had put a lot of attention to detail in there, so you were quite proud of it.
"Shirtless, you mean?"
He nodded, his jaw tense.
"It's a very popular theme with the ladies. I already told you these were all commissions. They want to see what you look like underneath your uniform."
He scoffed. "That's none of their business. Besides, how would you know? You've never even seen me shirtless."
"You are right, I haven't, so there might be some inaccuracies. I'm usually really meticulous, so this has been bothering me for a while, if you must know. I think I got the muscles about right, in fact I really put my heart into those abs...but you probably have some scars that I don't know about, right? Why don't you show me?"
You looked at him expectantly, your curiosity getting the better of you.
"What?!" he asked, dumbfounded. He even forgot to scowl for a moment. "Please? Just a quick peek?"
"No."
"I just want to know if I got it right," you pouted. "At least tell me."
"No."
"Then don't complain if the drawings aren't perfect next time."
His eyes narrowed. "There won't be a next time."
"Right," you mumbled. "I know."
"You apparently don't."
"These really were just drawings I had left from before. What was I supposed to do with them? Burn them?"
"Yes," Levi said.
"Do they really make you that uncomfortable?" you asked.
"They do."
"Okay," you said. "I'll burn them. They make you uncomfortable, so I'll burn them all. Satisfied?"
Levi didn't say anything. He just glared at you, arms crossed over his chest. You could tell he was still mad.
"I am sorry," you said softly.
He nodded. "When you're done burning those drawings, clean the stables. Be thorough. I'll check."
"What? That's gonna take so long!"
"This is nonnegotiable."
"But–"
"You're not happy with your punishment?" he asked with raised eyebrows.
You nodded furiously. "I don't think it's fair." "Fine. After the stables, you will now also do the women's barracks. Not just your room, but all of them."
Your eyes grew big. "You can't even check those," you muttered defiantly.
"I'll ask someone to do it for me. You're lucky, they probably won't have the same standards."
"This is impossible to do in a day," you pouted. "Not that I'm not happy with the punishment. 'Cause I am," you added quickly. You didn't want him to come up with more.
"You have all week," Levi said. He almost sounded amused. His face was back to his usual cool expression.
"Deal." You took the envelope with the drawings from the table, then hesitated, biting your lip. "Levi?"
"Yeah?"
"We'll still have teatime later, right?"
"Of course. Don't be an idiot."
You breathed a sigh of relief.
– –
"Of course he would need to have black, shiny fur", you giggled to yourself as you sat hunched over a piece of paper in a quiet corner of Hange's lab, adding some sparkles to show just how clean it was.
Instead of watching over a very slow, probably very important experiment, like you were supposed to, you were completely absorbed in perfecting your current drawing, which depicted a somewhat irritated-looking cat. Naturally, it wasn't just any cat. You were trying to capture the very essence of Levi Ackerman, distilling it into the shape of the animal on the paper in front of you.
This was your latest plan to get around his order which banned you from making or selling drawings of him. You had to be extra careful after he had chewed you out last time. You'd never seen him so mad. Well, it certainly hadn't helped when you asked him to take off his shirt. He had you scrubbing floors for all of last week. You were finally done with it, and you certainly had no desire to repeat that anytime soon. But you still found it impossible not to wonder whether your portrayal of him had been accurate. (Maybe he'd show you when he wasn't so mad.)
"Don't look at me like that", you mumbled to Cat-Levi, suddenly feeling a little guilty under his reproachful gaze.
"Don't you know I'm doing this all for you?"
If you wanted to be able to afford Levi's birthday present, you had no choice but to resort to methods like these. Surely he would understand. Better yet, he would never find out in the first place.
You nodded at the picture, satisfied. It was still in its draft stage, but it was getting there. In fact, it was kind of cute, and the longer you looked at it, the cuter it became.
"You're so precious," you gushed. "I wish you were real." Your face broke into a massive grin as you imagined what Cat-Levi would actually be like.
Chortling, you started to scribble a list of traits underneath it.
Smol
You don't choose him. He chooses you.
Perpetually grumpy (secretly a big softie but likes to keep the people around him on their toes)
Hits you with his cute little paws when you disturb him while he's sleeping
Hits you when you try to pet him without his permission
If he wants pets, he approaches you first. Then you have to give him attention. If you don't - you guessed it - he'll pout and hit you (with a cute little paw of course)
Is not afraid to draw blood (but with his special chosen person, he hits them paw only without any claws)
Others when they disturb them? They get it bad.
Did I already mention his cute little paws?
Cleanly as fuck. Don't disturb him while he's grooming himself. He will be your enemy.
Has trouble sleeping but when his chosen person is there with him he can relax
Hates being picked up. It makes him feel smol. Never make him feel smol.
Looves head scritches
Loves gourmet cat food. He's a luxury babe. (But if it comes from his favorite person, he will accept anything they feed him.)
You were so immersed in your writing that you didn't even notice Levi leaning in the doorway.
He watched you as you sat in front of the bubbling flasks, bent over your notes, your face hidden behind a curtain of your hair. Your pen was scratching furiously over the paper, exuding an air of productivity and concentration. He was almost impressed.
Then you giggled.
All of his illusions were shattered in an instant. Clearly, you were doing anything but working.
He approached you with a scowl on his face, already suspecting the worst.
"Are you drawing me again?"
You looked up, startled at the sudden presence, but your wide grin remained in place.
"Nooo! It's just a cat. Not everything's about you, you know."
You ostentatiously pushed the drawing over to him, trying to show him that you had nothing to hide. "See?"
Levi peered down at the cat which sat there with a wrinkled nose, its irritated gaze mirroring his own.
"Tch."
Your smile grew even wider. "Buut, now that you're here…lend me a hand, will you? I need help coming up with a name for this cat! What would you name him?"
You held out the drawing to him. He didn't take it. "Shouldn't you be working?" He motioned to the experiment set up in front of you.
"Ah, that," you said, like you had only just remembered it. "Nothing's been happening for the past three hours. I think it's a bust." You extended your hand even further, waggling the sheet of paper right under his nose.
"Come on, it will only take a second. Then I will get back to watching this thing like a hawk, I promise!"
Levi begrudgingly accepted the drawing and read the notes with raised eyebrows. "Who would even like this cat?"
You gasped, clutching at your chest in horror. "Excuse me? I do! Everyone does. He's precious, okay? You wouldn't know true cuteness even if it hit you in the face."
"I think I would," he said, giving you a glance.
"Obviously not. He's like, the definition of cute." You were pouting. "So, did you come up with a name?"
"Hellspawn," he said dryly.
"Noo, that's so mean! That's not even a real name."
"Fine." Levi sighed. He was quiet for a while, thinking. You looked at him expectantly.
"Herbert," he said finally, his tone serious.
You burst out laughing.
"What?" He frowned. "You wanted a real name. I gave you one."
"No, no, it's great, really. You're absolutely right," you tried to appease him.
"Herbert it is then."
Of course, this was just his undercover name. He would always be a Levi to you.
You took the paper from him and added a bowl, lovingly writing 'Herbert' on it in cursive letters.
When you were done, Levi was still standing there with his arms crossed.
You shot him a questioning look. "So, why did you come here? Did you want something?"
"Just wondering why you were late."
"Late?" You took out your pocket watch. It was just after 4 o'clock. "Oh, it's teatime already? I can't believe I almost missed it! I totally lost track of time." You jumped up from your seat. "Let's go!"
"What happened to watching your experiment with hawk eyes?"
You winced, visibly deflated as the excitement drained from your body. "You're right", you mumbled. "I did say that…" Why had you promised that, again?
You slumped back into the chair, eyes fixed on the flasks. They were still bubbling happily, almost as if they were mocking you.
Hange had told you to watch the experiment until they got back. It had seemed easy enough, while also giving you the perfect excuse to get out of today's training. You just never would've imagined they'd take this long.
"Go on without me…" you said in a dramatic, choked up voice.
Levi snorted. He pulled up a chair. "Don't be stupid. You'll get withdrawal symptoms." He knew how you got when you didn't have your afternoon tea. It wasn't pretty.
"These your notes?" He pointed at the lab journal.
You stared at him. It certainly looked like he was offering to watch the experiment for you. But that couldn't be right. You had to be dreaming again. Or hallucinating. It had been a while since you'd had your last tea. Maybe these were some new withdrawal symptoms? Still, you had to make sure.
"Don't tell me… You would give up on teatime for me?"
"Go before I change my mind."
"Wow. For real? Thank you!" You beamed at him. "I'm honestly so touched. You're the best, you know that? The best!"
You bent forward to give him a little kiss on the cheek. His eyes widened.
"I really don't know what I'd do without you," you went on, still smiling cheerfully, before getting up from your chair.
Levi cleared his throat. He wasn't looking at you. "I have work to do. So don't take too long."
"Of course not," you reassured him. "I'll be right back. You won't even notice I was gone."
He rolled his eyes. That was a blatant lie. You always took your time with tea, savoring every last drop.
You were already at the door when you suddenly turned back around.
"I just want you to know…"
"What?" Levi asked.
"I'll never forget your glorious sacrifice," you declared solemnly.
Before he could answer, you were already out the door.
Levi looked after you, absently bringing a hand up to his cheek.
"Tch. Always so dramatic," he grumbled to himself, but his gaze was soft.

You’re not empty
Bucky x Y/N
Just an encounter - and a bit of healing for the white wolf…

Tumblr media
Warning: Some angst.
The city’s lights flickered like broken stars, casting a hazy glow over the streets as Y/N made her way down 9th Avenue.
She checked her phone for the third time, frowning at the lack of response. Bucky was supposed to meet her hours ago. He wasn’t usually one to forget plans, but there’d been a distance to him lately, a subtle drawing away that she couldn’t quite place. Tonight, though, that distance was becoming physical—stretching wider with every unanswered text.
She wandered through the familiar streets, her mind racing with worry and frustration. The occasional neon sign buzzed softly overhead, splashing the damp pavement with colors as she walked. The deep hum of the city around her almost drowned out her thoughts, leaving only the pulsing beat of her heart in the quiet spaces between.
She’d just about given up when a soft, orange glow caught her eye.
Tucked down a side street, a narrow bar with faded lettering on the window gleamed like a forgotten relic from another time.
Inside, she spotted him immediately.
Bucky sat hunched over the counter, shadows pooling under his eyes as he stared down into his drink. He looked distant, almost haunted, like a soldier lost in the memories of battles he’d rather forget. She stood there, watching him from the doorway, her heart tightening at the sight.
Finally, she approached, sliding onto the barstool beside him. He glanced up, a flicker of surprise softening the hard set of his jaw.
“Doll,” he murmured, his voice low and rough. “What’re you doin’ here?”
She raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms as she looked at him. “I could ask you the same thing, Bucky. You were supposed to meet me three hours ago. I was starting to think you’d fallen off the face of the earth.”
He looked away, his fingers tightening around his glass. “Guess I just… got sidetracked.”
The tension settled between them, thick and heavy, filling the silence with unspoken words. She watched him closely, the way his shoulders curled in, like he was trying to shrink away from something, or someone.
“Are you going to tell me what’s really going on?” she asked softly.
He sighed, a long, weary exhale that seemed to carry the weight of a thousand sleepless nights. “It’s… it’s nothing, Doll. Just old memories. Bad dreams. Sometimes it’s hard to shake ‘em.”
Her heart ached at the quiet vulnerability in his voice. She knew he had scars—ones that ran far deeper than the metal arm or the haunted look in his eyes. Gently, she reached out, covering his hand with hers.
“You don’t have to deal with it alone, you know,” she murmured. “I’m here. I don’t care how dark it gets.”
He glanced at her, his gaze softening for a moment before he looked away again. “Sometimes I wonder why you stick around. I’m not exactly the easiest person to be with.”
“Maybe I like a challenge,” she teased, nudging him lightly. “Besides, you’re worth it, even if you don’t see it.”
A faint smile tugged at his lips, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “You always know how to make a guy feel better, don’t ya?”
“Just part of the job, Serge,” she replied, grinning as he shook his head with a soft chuckle.
“Serge, huh?” he mused, his tone lightening just a bit. “Guess I could get used to that.”
He took another sip of his drink before setting it down, the glass clinking softly against the counter. “C’mon,” he said, standing up and offering her his hand. “Let’s get out of here. The night’s too quiet for sittin’ in a bar.”
She took his hand, the warmth of his fingers grounding her as they left the bar and stepped into the cool night air.
They wandered aimlessly through the city streets, the quiet between them comfortable, each step a slow unraveling of the tension that had been coiled inside him.
They walked until they reached a small park, its iron gates slightly ajar. Bucky led her to a worn fire escape overlooking the cityscape, and they sat down side by side, gazing out at the endless sprawl of lights stretching across the horizon.
After a long silence, he spoke. “Sometimes I feel… empty,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “Like there’s nothing left inside me. Just shadows and echoes of someone I used to be.”
She felt her heart clench, the pain in his words cutting through her like a knife. “You’re not empty, Bucky,” she said softly. “You’re just… healing. It’s not easy, but you’re not alone. You’ve got people who care about you, who want to help. You’ve got me.”
He looked at her then, really looked at her, his blue eyes searching hers with an intensity that made her breath catch. “You mean that, don’t you?” he murmured, almost to himself.
“Of course I do. I wouldn’t be here otherwise.”
He nodded slowly, his gaze drifting back to the city lights. “You make it sound so easy.”
“It’s not,” she admitted, squeezing his hand. “But I’m here for the long haul, Bucky. No matter how hard it gets. I’ll keep reminding you until you believe it.”
He turned to her, his face softening as he reached out to cup her cheek, his thumb brushing against her skin in a gesture so gentle it made her heart ache. “Darling,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I don’t deserve you.”
She smiled, leaning into his touch. “Maybe, maybe not. But that’s not up to you to decide, is it?”
A laugh escaped him, low and soft, filled with a warmth that felt like a glimpse of the person he might become, someday. He pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her as they sat there, letting the quiet comfort of each other’s presence fill the empty spaces in their hearts.
As the first light of dawn broke over the city skyline, he leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. “You make all this…” he gestured vaguely to the city, the memories, the loneliness, “feel a little brighter. I don’t know how you do it.”
“Love is a funny thing,” she murmured, smiling up at him. “It has a way of filling even the darkest places with light.”
They stayed there, wrapped in each other’s arms as the city came alive around them, its hum of life blending with the quiet promise between them.
It wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t easy, but in that moment, with the sun rising over the horizon, they had each other—and maybe, just maybe, that was enough.

hey have you considered a potential curlayna child wanting to be an astronaut and the both of them nearly have a heart attack... kthxbai
okay your ask sparked a conversation between me and @cyanidecrystal so here goes:
Tumblr media
(slightly recolored james mcavoy faceclaim lmaooo) this is Yuri, they/them;
(sidenote: this drawing is retroactively about baby yuri now)
they grow up only knowing a very, very sanitized version of what happened on the tulpar; while PE had no finances to cover up the story, the company producing the ships did, so even the initial splash of news was quickly suppressed and only remains as sporadic bits free floating in the infosphere. curlanya only tell them the bare bones of it, but since their family relationships are solid, yuri sees no reason not to take their word for it.
what does win is curiosity, and yuri does end up trying to dig things up just to know more about their family. the blurry, low res picture of post-crash curly they manage to find is written off as either one of the dead crew members, or perhaps even something generated by AI.
as a child, yuri already proudly declares that they are going to become an astronaut; curly and anya by then still haven't set foot in a spaceship or even a plane, so they sweat nervously but ascribe it more to a childhood whim (i'm going to be an astronaut AND a president AND a garbage truck driver)
it is not, in fact, a childhood whim
as yuri is growing up, their interest becomes more prominent. curlanya, excellent parents overall, make their first serious blunder and try their best to discourage them from pursuing a career in space
of course, it means that yuri ends up going behind their backs and sneaking off on a short-ish trip (think a jupiter moon, not even leaving the system) as an intern. they text them right before they lose signal, something like 'hey, remember you said you'll make it up for me for not letting me go on that school trip? (it involved a transcontinental flight) i've got it covered now so no worries, see you in a week!'
someone on the trip recognizes yuri's last name, asks if they are related to curly. yuri is surprised by this, deeply unaware that curly had a solid reputation as a captain and a pilot back in the day.
the trip ends up taking a little longer. during it, yuri sustains a minor injury for reasons of being a goober. something benign like a mild burn or a blackeye, so they come back wearing a temporary eye patch and supremely chuffed about finally looking at least a little like dad
curlanya do not react well. they don't yell or anything, but they are Weird, and it's not the reaction yuri was expecting. they don't know how on earth this is such a big deal to them.
(meanwhile, curlanya are severely triggered by literally everything about this and are in the process of discovering that all the trauma they thought to have processed has not, in fact, been fully processed, and their kid is now making them face it on hard mode)
they do end up having an argument about it. yuri is upset and offended and says some things they probably shouldn't, like 'just because you had an accident doesn't mean i will, and you're fine anyway!' (in their defence, everything happened so long ago, and curly's had years to recover by now)
perhaps they even say something like 'i'd rather get into a crash than stay at home doing nothing like you'
yuri is forbidden from sneaking away again, so of course that's what they do.
this time, however, when someone asks them if they know curly, the person ends up telling them a fuller story of what happened. with a fresh and exciting degree of understanding of why their parents are Like That, yuri is forced to sit with their feelings until the trip is over. forced to think over all the jabs they'd thrown their parents' way because they didn't understand.
after that second trip, the three of them finally sit down to have an honest conversation. curlanya still omit some details (like anya's assault), but since yuri really does want to work in space, it's time for them to reckon with their paranoia. their trauma must not define the life of their child.
yuri asks curly how he'd lived. curly smiles and says that he doesn't know either, yuri would have to ask their mother about that.
from then on, they learn to support yuri. whatever breakdowns they have, happen when it's just the two of them.
curlanya are both emotionally involved parents, but this is where curly becomes a little more closed off and lets anya take the reins. he doesn't want to bombard their kid with his problems, so he sticks more to logistics.
(for example, obsessively looking up every crew member of every trip yuri goes on. no background goes unchecked)
eventually, yuri invites them to come on board the ship they're now working on. after much hesitation, curlanya agree. curly is allowed into the cockpit (recognized by name if not by face) and reckons with the strange mix of nostalgia and despair. the equipment is just different enough to not send him into a fully blown flashback, but he does have to make his excuses and go hyperventilate in the bathroom.
it's a real moment of growing up for yuri, when they goes to find their father and see him so helpless. it's a gradual process, a series of 'god, i never knew it was this hard for you guys to accept this'
the more they understand that, the more they, too, understand how much their parents love them and how much their support costs them
still, learning more about the accident doesn't pass without a trace for yuri. for a while, they are uncertain if this is what they really want to do. ('i think i saw a picture of you after the crash. tell me it was a fake')
anya wins that day. her trauma wasn't as obvious to strangers, wasn't gawked at or paraded like curly's. it's easier for her to think rationally about this. and after all of it, she wants yuri to chase their dream
(maybe yuri even writes a resignation letter for their company and tells anya about it. after their heart to heart, anya tells curly, and he calls the company and tells them not to process it just yet. yuri stays on the roster.)
eventually, of course, the cat is out of the bag, and someone callous enough to bring it up asks yuri about the assault and if they are a result of it.
deeply distraught, yuri doesn't immediately clock that the math doesn't math. all they can think of is that they might be the child of their mother's assailant. that curly might not be their father.
they come with it to curlanya, and that's when they finally show yuri a picture of curly from before the crash.
yuri has always thought they took after their mother in pretty much everything except eye color. now, they find a blond version of themself looking back at them, and it feels like coming home.

Question, since the other main Heart pirates are ladies, do you have any ship headcanons for them in your fem!law universe? I know Killer/Penguin is a popular choice for Peng, and they'd look so cute in your style!
Thanks!! I would like to draw the hearts more, but I never have good ideas -
Glad you asked this question 😈😈😈
Law (idk if you if you want something with her, but I'll drop something and then concentrate on the others)
Law and Luffy are a thing (duh). But law didn't fall immediately for the Monkey D. Her interest in him rose before Sabody, but not in the romantic way, more like "I wanna see what this little punk can do"
She fell in love with him after she saw him at his worst cause she had the impression to finally see the real Luffy. She felt understood in some ways...and you guys know the rest
Law love language is through act of services, she never clearly says "I love you"
Everynight she clings to Luffy with all her strenght cause she is afraid someone will take him away from her
Bepo
Bepo is looking for a sweet bear, but she has still not found one yet. Maybe her standards are too high (Shachi always says that)
She is not afraid of expressing her love. She always hugs the people she loves most. If you're looking for Bepo, you can certainly find her hugging Law or making sure the kids are having fun (and mostly making sure they're safe)
She is like a sweet aunt. Always dreaming to find true love, but her only love at the moment is her family
Shachi
She is pinning for Penguin till she has memories. Always yearning but never have the courage to make the first move
She always jokes about Penguin being hers, but it's always a bit painful, but seeing Pen laugh, it's always her biggest reward
She always leaves a tiny candy on Pen's pillow
When someone makes her notice that maybe she is in love with Penguin (Bepo), she always dismisses that with a laugh. "How can I be in love with her? She's like a sister to me!"
After Law sewed back Penguin's arm that night, Shachi never left her side, even tho Law encouraged her to rest. She wanted to be sure that Pen saw her as first thing when she'd open her eyes again. So she didn't feel lonely
Every day, she promises herself to talk with Pen about her feelings. But every time she met her gaze, Shachi forgot how to speak and just said the most stupid thing in the world
Penguin
Pen likes to flirt a lot. She doesn't think to be a catch, but gosh, how much fun she has flirting around
Every now and then, she steals gazes with Shachi. She always felt something for her but never really understood what-- she only knows that when Shachi is not around, the sun is less brighter
She loves finding candies over her pillow, and she knows Shachi is the one leaving them. She had done that since the first day on the Tang. She thinks it's sweet
When Shachi comes to her with that serious look just to say the most stupid shit in the world, Pen laughs her heart out, thinking that she couldn't live a moment without her in her life
When she's cooking, she always makes sure to make Shachi's portion a little bit bigger than the others
Every night, she fell asleep thinking about that time she woke up from Law reattaching her arm with Shachi holding her other hand while sleeping...that's her dearest memory
Here is some of my headcanons! Killer/Pen is a ship I have yet to explore (always open for new things), but since I've started to know the hearts Shachi/Penguin is one of my otps ♥️♥️

Sonic look up into the night sky and signed to himself, how long had it been since that day. He had only been a kid when it happened.
“Longclaw, I wish you were here” Sonic muttered as he turned to look at the ground, his ears drooped and he closed his eyes not hearing the sounds of someone approaching.
“What are you doing out here Faker?” the figure asked as he approached Sonic causing the guy to jump with surprise as he turned to look to see that it was Shadow, he signed a little before giving him his normal smile though it was a little force.
“Nothing much, just watching the stars” Sonic replied. He turned to look away letting the smile fall from his face before bringing his knees to his chest. Shadow signed to himself before taking a seat next to Sonic. “Seems like something more then that” Shadow said looking at Sonic and frowned.
“I guess I was thinking about someone, someone I never got to say goodbye to” Sonic asked moving his arms around his knees and closed his eyes as tears started to form “I never got to say goodbye and she’s gone because of me”
Shadow ears drooped a little as he moved to place a hand on Sonic’s shoulder, “Whatever happened wasn’t your fault” Shadow told him, pulling him close. Sonic opened his eyes taking a shaky breath “Does the hurt ever go away?” Sonic asked looking at Shadow
“It doesn’t but with time the hurt will heal with time, there will be times it hits hard and that’s ok” Shadow told him resting his head gently on Sonic’s “Its ok to hurt over losing someone you cared about no matter how much time passes”
Sonic looked to the ground and closed his eyes “Her name was Longclaw, she was like a mother to me. there was an attack and she was injured, she saved me but I couldn’t save her” Sonic told him with shaky breath as the tears started falling. Shadow pulled him into his arms holding him close, he remembered times when Maria would comfort him during rough times, he still felt the pain from losing her.
Shadow rubbed Sonic’s back letting the blue hedgehog cry it out knowing that it was what he needed. After what felt like forever Sonic slowly tried moving out of Shadow’s hold but found himself unable to, he looked up at Shadow who was looking up at the stars. “What was she like?” Sonic whispered, he a little about Shadow’s past which he learn from Rouge
Shadow smiled a little “she was one of a kind, she was like a little sister to me. We got into all kinds of trouble” Shadow told him before his smile fell a little “Her dream was for us to come here” Shadow looked to the ground frowning. “She was a lot like you at times. She had a good heart”
Sonic moved to wrap his arms around Shadow just has Shadow had done for him, Shadow eyes widened not expecting it feeling his heart skip a beat slightly before returning Sonic’s hug.

I don't normally write fanfics since I kinder stopped that when learning to draw but thought it be nice to put something to the drawing. I also had been feeling down lately after losing my elderly girl Minx.

Visiting Hours: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ
Summary: Mr. Peterson visits Nicky in the hospital.
(P.S., for @limoks-blogs !)
It was bedtime, so all of the nurses and doctors were finishing putting the children to sleep.
Once it was completely silent in the hallway, Nicky felt himself drift off to sleep. He yawned and closed his eyes.
But then he heard someone open the door to his room, and he squinted his eyes when the lights from outside peeked through the room.
"W-What?", he said.
In walked a tall, hulking man in a white lab coat and white mask. He looked rather pale, but that was all Nicky could tell from his features, he couldn't see much through the mask.
The man pulled the mask down, and Nicky's eyes widened when he saw his full face. His dark green eyes, his gray peach fuzz, and his pale face. He should've recognized him even out of his argyle sweater.
Mr. Peterson.
Nicky screamed in fear as he saw the man and began flailing around as he tried to get up from his bed, but Mr. Peterson clasped a hand over his mouth to muffle his screams and kept a firm hand on his chest to keep him from moving.
"Quiet, Nicholas!", the man sharply whispered. "I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to talk."
Nicky began to lose energy, and he soon stopped screaming and flailing. Mr. Peterson removed both of his hands from the boy and stood back up.
"I've missed you so much, Nicky.", said the man. "All of those days in prison, I just couldn't stand to be without my family for another minute. I know we're not exactly blood related, but you've always made me feel great with your presence."
Before he could say more, Nicky put a hand up. "I thought you were in jail.", he said. "You're supposed to -...Oh my God."
He felt his soul drain from his body when he realized something.
"Trinity let you out. Didn't she?", he asked.
Mr. Peterson nodded, and Nicky so badly wanted to believe it wasn't true. He wanted Mr. Peterson to be lying.
Nicky jumped up from the bed and grabbed Mr. Peterson's collar. "Where is she?! What did you do to her you -"
Mr. Peterson pushed Nicky back down to the bed, and this time, he didn't remove the hands from his chest as he kept him down, despite Nicky struggling to fight him off.
"Nicky, calm down.", he said. "I didn't do anything to her. I only lightly...punished her for what she did to me and you."
"What do you mean by that?", asked Nicky. "Trinity never did anything to you. It was all that demon crow's fault -"
Mr. Peterson released a hand from Nicky's chest, holding it up and signaling the boy to stop talking. "That demon crow took almost everything from me, and Trinity took the rest. She took away the book with my personal drawings, my son, and now you're here because of her."
Nicky once again tried to push Mr. Peterson off of him, "Stop saying that! She didn't -"
"Wasn't she the one who pushed you in the basement? Wasn't she the one who forced you to keep pushing yourself to help her while you were in a weak mental state?", asked Mr. Peterson. "Wasn't she the one who said you'd be okay when it was so clearly obvious that you wouldn't be?"
Nicky's eyes widened as he said that.
Yes, all of that was true. His mental state worsened when Trinity pushed him into the basement, and he ended up attacking her without realizing it.
He regretted what he did so much, and when he saw that she was trying to reach out to him as he was being loaded into the ambulance, it made him feel even worse.
"Trinity is my friend, she -"
"She's the reason you're here.", Mr. Peterson said sternly. "You're so blinded by the fact that you love them that you don't even see how non-devoted or toxic your friends are. Especially Trinity."
Mr. Peterson gently removed his hands and stood back up.
"You think I'm playing mind games, but it's the truth.", he said. "I gave Trinity the punishment she deserved, and soon, I'll make all of those brats pay for what they did to you and me."
He patted Nicky on the head and leaned in closer, whispering in his ear.
"Don't you worry, my dear. I'll make you so happy."
He stood back up and put his mask back on, then he walked out of the room.
Nicky laid awake in bed, trying to drown out Mr. Peterson's words that still echoed in his head. He didn't want Mr. Peterson near his friends, he didn't want that monster anywhere near his friends.
He didn't care about what they did or said to him in the past, he loved him, they were his friends.
And if Mr. Peterson laid a finger on them, he'd be seeing hell.
He better not touch any of them.
Especially Trinity.
