Kimiko Getting Attached To You Would Include:
Requested: Heeeeey! Could I request some fluffy familial headcannons please for Kamiko from the boys being like a twin sibling figure to reader? Like r is apart of the boys and Kamiko grows attached to them like a sibling and just looks into their dynamics? - anon
A/N: My love for Kimiko is *unmatched*!!! Thank you for requesting my love! I hope you like it! I'd love more headcanon and preference requests for The Boys!!! Feedback is always appreciated 💜💜💜
Requests are open! 🔮
Tumblr media
Kimiko was wary of everyone from the beginning
You were careful, not wanting to scare her away, so you kept your distance
You think everyone's out when you play your music, humming and singing along, when she appears out of nowhere
Everyone hated your music. They hated it even more when you sang along. So, you only did it when you were alone, blaring it loudly. When you notice Kimiko you jump, apologizing for bothering her
She just shakes her head, finding the nearest pad of paper. "I like it" she writes and smiles
It's the first show of humanity she's seen from any of you. Butcher was violent and M.M. worried too much, Frenchie had a crush on her and Hughie was pretty subservient. You were different. You weren't scared of her, you weren't intimidated, and you didn't look at her like you wanted to kiss her. You have interests and passions outside of murder. It's new and strange
You show her more from your playlists. It's your only talking point, so you sorta run with it. She gives you thumbs up/down, makes faces when she especially likes or doesn't like them. You try not to nerd out when your favorites play, but you just can't help yourself
When everyone comes back you turn it off, but the connection you made stays
Slowly, she starts to show an interest in you
At first it feels like light stalking: watching you and following you. She's getting to know you, know what makes you tick and smile and laugh
She learns you have poor taste in movies, but excellent taste in music. Puns make you laugh more than they should. Aside from your personal history with Vought, you wouldn't hurt a fly. She decides, in that moment, you'd make a good friend. Ally is the first word that comes to mind, but what she really means is friend
You pick up on her sign language as fast as you can, relying on writing pads or texts when you can't understand
Joking around with her, trying to get her more comfortable around you
"You think Butcher ever washes that coat?"
"Never."
When you really get to know one another, she tells you about her childhood and her brother
In return, you tell her your history with Vought and The Seven and Homelander
Neither of you are particularly proud of what you've done, but you recognize it was out of survival
Always being paired together
With her abilities and your intelligence, you're an unbeatable duo
The Boys start referring to you as Bonnie and Clyde. You're rarely seen without the other
Kimiko does everything she can to protect you. You weren't given V, you're smart and witty and you can get yourself out of a tough situation, but you're human. You're fragile. The thought of being without you would kill her
When you do get hurt she panics. She "yells" at the others to save you, to help, and they do, but it's never good enough for her
"They botched your stitches."
"A scar isn't the end of the world."
You never get used to seeing Kimiko all torn up or bloody. You know she'll get better, but it still makes you sick to your stomach to witness
You know exactly how to make her smile, even when somethings happened and she retreats into herself. She does the same with you
When no one can reach either of you, your friends are at a loss
Going under cover and pretending to be a couple. Neither of you are interested in the other like that, but it's always fun to put on a show
You definitely make fun of her when she wears a dress and heels
"You look like an actual girl!"
"Shut up!"
You never go anywhere without telling the other where. The rest of your friends just assume you've run off, but Kimiko will always know where and why you're leaving
"Where's y/n?"
"I don't know."
"Liar."
"I won't snitch."
When you or her have nightmares, you know you can go to the other
"Bad dream?"
"Yup."
Listening to music together, hoping the images of the nightmare will go away
She likes when you sing. It's off key and not very good, but she finds a lot of comfort in your voice
Encouraging her to go to speech therapy. Not for you or anyone else, but because it would be good for her
Kimiko doesn't ever get sick, but when you are she's incredibly attentive and extremely worried
"You're burning up."
"I'm okay, I promise."
Coming to one another's defense when others get in your face. She's the first to start "yelling" at them when they criticize you
Being asked if you like-like one another at least once a week. Annie assumes you secretly have feelings for one another and Frenchie gets pretty jealous of your relationship, but it's just not how you see one another
She's your twin flame. Not a girlfriend, but you do love her. You love her more than anyone else. You understand one another better than anyone else

THE AQUARIUM, JANUARY 1993
It was field trip day.
A day that Steve had a love hate relationship with. He loved being able to take his kids off somewhere educational yet fun but hated having to watch them all beyond the comfort of his own classroom.
Steve was particularly nervous for another reason. There were three chaperones on this trip, himself, the older biology teacher who didn’t particularly like him and you. He thought it was karma, the universe's way of telling him he did wrong. Either way, he wasn’t looking forward to today.
It had been a couple weeks, almost a month, since the altercation with Steve. You had been awkward and distant with each other, not really engaging in conversation unless you had to. And don’t get it twisted, it’s not that neither of you wanted to speak to one another, but you just really didn’t know what to say.
The short bus journey was terribly awkward, Steve was last on the bus after making sure all the kids got on fine and sure enough the only free seat left was next to you. He shot you a sheepish smile, fingers coming to rub at the hairs on the nape of his neck as he asked you if the seat was taken.
You engaged in small talk but it was nothing like it used to be. The smooth, easy flow of your conversations all but gone. It was funny really, how one short exchange had cast this dark, gloomy cloud over the both of you. You knew something had to give, one of you had to say something, had to address the situation but who would pluck up the courage first? You had no idea.
Steve found himself feeling distracted all day. His brain swirls with thoughts of you, how he should confront you, what he should say. His eyes constantly wander to where you were with your small group of students just up ahead, the deep blue of the water reflecting onto your face, illuminating your features.
“Mr. H?” A small voice spoke up in the background, snapping Steve out of his trance. He spun around on his heel, eyes wide behind his glasses as he tried to search out the source of the voice.
“Yeah, yes. Sorry,” he stuttered, cheeks heating up at how flustered he was becoming. His usual, calm, cool demeanour faltered because he couldn’t stop thinking about you, “Can you repeat the question?”
It was then that Steve decided enough was enough. The tension between you too became insurmountable, too much to handle. When he imagined having this conversation with you in the past week, he never thought he would be doing it in the middle of the school field trip but he was dealt this hand, and Steve was going to roll with it.
When it came around to lunch, the kids scattered across the cafeteria area, he spotted you in the corner on a table with Mr. Cooper. What you didn’t know was that Steve gave the older teacher five bucks before you all broke off for lunch, begging him to give you two five, ten minutes alone.
Steve’s plastic tray clattered against the table as he sat opposite you. Your eyes flitted up to him as you continued to chew the mouthful of your sandwich. His hair was slightly dishevelled, like he’d been pulling on the strands, his tie was off centre, the usual light in his eyes a little dimmer than usual.
“Can we talk, please?” Steve asked quietly, his voice shy, an octave above the bustling noise of the cafeteria.
“Steve, I–,” you sighed, your gaze falling on him properly now.
“Please?” He begged and you immediately grew sympathetic. He looked so dejected, so down. And you couldn’t bear to see him like that for much longer.
You eventually agreed. The air between you felt thick, the atmosphere heavy. You searched your brain for the right thing to say but you came up with nothing. Your mouth was open but no words came out. Luckily Steve was ready to step up to the plate.
“I just–,” he sighed, taking a second to collect his thoughts into something coherent, something that wasn’t just a beg for forgiveness, “I just wanna say I’m sorry if I over stepped and upset you, really, I didn’t mean to. The last thing I would ever want to do is upset you.”
You nodded as Steve spoke, taking in his words for what they were. He spoke with honesty and sincerity, pleading silently with his eyes that you would understand.
“I care about you and I just want what’s best for you,” Steve continued. He never imagined he’d be having this sort of conversation with you but he did care about you and did want the best for you and you deserved to know that, “but I crossed a line and shouldn’t have said what I said and I’m really sorry for that.”
“Steve,” you sighed, a weary smile on your face, “it’s okay, really. I shouldn’t have snapped, my head was all over the place and I just reacted badly, at that.”
A sense of relief washed over you, a tense weight off your shoulders as Steve made the first move. You were glad he did, the awkward atmosphere beginning to weigh you down. You longed for things to go back to how they used to be. Especially now.
“Anyway,” you continued, your shy smile turning into one of sadness, your gaze floating down towards your lunch, “you were right. About my ex, I mean.”
Steve’s eyebrows furrowed at your statement, his features painting with concern. He glanced at your hand that was lay flat on the table, your nails clacking against the top of the surface. Fuck, did he badly want to reach out and curl his fingers around your own, taking your hand in his to reassure you.
He wished he never asked you what you meant when that cynical smile appeared on your face, your lashes fluttering against your cheeks as you refused to look Steve in the eye. The fear of him uttering the sullen phrase of I told you so is too big. Steve would never do that to you, could never do that to you.
“We started speaking regularly again after New Years and he started asking me about here and the school and if I’d made any friends,” you started, fingers messing with the sleeves of your woolly sweater, “so I told him about Robin and Nancy and you and it all just sort of went south. Especially when I mentioned you.”
Steve felt an unfathomable rage overcome him. The kind that made the tips of his ears turn red, the kind that made his blood boil inside. Until he remembered he was sat in the middle of an aquarium cafeteria, surrounded by students.
“He just— he just got so angry ‘cause I said I made friends with a guy. Started saying he couldn’t trust me and all that? I never even agreed to get back together at this point, he was just being so nasty, Steve.”
You shrugged your shoulders in an attempt to shake off the guilt you felt, the regret and betrayal soon following after. You felt stupid, if you had to be truthful. Wondering why you couldn’t just listen to Steve. You wouldn’t have had to put yourself through the beration if you did.
“Oh, sweetheart,” he spoke quietly, so as not to irk any of the students close by, “I’m so sorry, you don’t deserve that. I hope you told him so as well.”
You laughed at that and Steve smiled. It was a sound that he used to know well, a sound that he missed dearly.
“I did give him a piece of my mind,” you giggled, “it was a proud moment.”
The field trip was soon over, your time at the aquarium was up. The teachers ushered the kids back to the bus, taking roll call as the hopped on one by one. You took the seat you had sat in on the way here, this time with Steve looking much happier to be sitting next to you.
The bus ride back to Hawkins High was much more mellow, the kids talking amongst themselves in a quieter fashion than you were used to. Your eyes peered out the window as you smiled to yourself; you were just glad that things would be going back to normal with Steve. The tense air had cleared, the slate wiped clean.
You glanced down to your lap where you noticed Steve’s hand was conveniently placed in the middle of the joined bus seat, fingers drumming against the worn down leather as his gaze was focused on the road in front. You took the opportunity to place your hand over his much larger one, your fingers sliding effortlessly through the gaps between his own. Steve immediately turned to look at you, his eyes flitting between you and your delicate hand placed over his.
You said nothing. Simply letting a small smile tug at your lips, your hand squeezing at Steve’s in the middle of the bus seat and that’s how you remained for the journey home.

Hello!! Hope you’re well :) I absolutely love the way you write zoro ..!!! 🫶 you write him perfectly 💞 it brings a lot of comfort !
If your requests are open, is it okay to ask for a short fic or a headcannon list (however you wanna write it!) of zoro and a sad drunk reader? Like, they don’t drink a whole lot, only cuz they don’t trust them selves with it.. but they’re so comfortable with him they give it a try- to both of their surprises, there’s lots of… drunk crying and blabbles… how would zoro react to that?
Hope it’s not to much - thank you and stay awesome, don’t forget to take care of you and thanks for all the great fics you write 🫶💚
...but you can make me a drink
cw: swearing, alcohol, angst and feelings but mostly fluff
note: thank you so much for the love aww <33 this is so cute and i had so much fun writing this. i'm so glad you like my zoro stuff, i hope you like this too!
likes, reblogs, and replies are always appreciated <3 thank you for your support!
Tumblr media
"i really don't remember the last time i was this wasted."
"you're wasted already? that didn't take very long," you giggle deliriously, stretching out on the ledge of zoro's window with a dangerously sweet bottle of bad ideas in your hand. "here i thought the great pirate hunter was a heavyweight."
"i am," he protests from across from you, eyelids heavy and struggling to stay awake. "i just got outclassed." his admission sends another wave of tired chuckles through your body and you take another sip of your drink. "you doing okay?"
"i'm good. thank you for helping me with this." your eyes meet his over the rim of your bottle and you swear his ears turn the slightest shade of pink. "i really appreciate it, more than you'll ever know."
"it's whatever. you know i like any excuse to drink my problems away," he drawls absentmindedly. "plus, if it means you finally stop working your ass off, that's a bonus." it was his idea to have a drink together after a particularly taxing mission, one where alcohol was calling your name but you didn't have the courage to drink in front of your friends just yet. the last time you drank until you blacked out like your crewmates wanted to do, you ended up in some very sticky situations that you never wanted to risk getting into again. so, when zoro suggested that you have a drink with only him where he could keep an eye on you, it seemed like a good idea.
it was a good idea, until the tears started flowing.
"you know, i haven't felt this comfortable with anyone since i left my old crew," you admit, already feeling the long-repressed emotions starting to bubble to the surface.
"why not?"
"it's what i've learned. no one, no matter how many promises they make, is ever permanent. i've learned to live with that, but it doesn't mean it hurts less when you do end up losing them." you don't register your face becoming wet until he reaches out and wipes a stray tear from your cheek, forcing you to look up at him. he'd never looked so beautiful. "i hope i never lose you," you whisper and his eyes can't seem to find a place to focus on your face.
"i hope i never lose you, either," he says just as softly. his eyebrows furrow slightly as you continue to cry in his room, against his hand, while wearing his clothes. neither of you anticipated a night of drinking to end in so many emotions; yet, he couldn't think of any other place he'd rather be than with you so close. "it's fucking exhausting, isn't it?"
"mhmm," you agree, dabbing the corner of his eye with your sleeve to catch some more unexpected tears. "we can't make any promises, can we?"
"nope, but i can make you another drink."
"sounds amazing. help me forget this ever happened, zoro?"
"i'll do anything you require of me, sweetheart."

https://www.tumblr.com/necrotic-nephilim/762551245228703744/ok-ok-but-jayroytim-this-feels-especially-funny?source=share
i'm sorry i'm just thinking on days that jason and roy are particularly annoyed (in general or at each other) they would have a dick measuring contest of who can make tim come more and tim ends up very sore the next day every time
(the jayroytim post) ooooh i love this. i love putting Tim in Situations where he's just the stress relief caught between two arguing doms, it's like. my fave concept ever-
i like when it's an unspoken kink dynamic too. like, Jason and Roy start arguing again and Tim is already closing his laptop and taking his clothes off bc it's the only reliable way to get them to shut up, when they pass him back and forth until he's overstimulated and crying. sometimes, they just do it because Tim is overworking himself and won't put down the case he swears he's *so close* to cracking.
but taking it to the next level, seeing who can make Tim come the most is a turn Tim does *not* expect. i think it's fun if they spring it on him, maybe Jason and Roy had the argument when Tim wasn't around and come to the completely reasonable conclusion that this is the only way they can solve it. (neither of them are sure what they were actually originally arguing about when asked.) they text Tim and tell him to clear his schedule for the rest of the day and make sure he doesn't have patrol that night. and Tim is caught between wondering if he's about to get a great date night, or if he's about to clean up an absolutely shitshow they've caused. he is *not* prepared whatsoever. meanwhile, Roy and Jason are. bc there are logistics to work out. hydration, comfort, rerouting emergency calls to all three of them if the world starts to end.
i think it's fun if Jason and Roy set rules, bc they're both known to be cheats and they want clear definitions of what "counts" and how to make sure they're not just wrestling over Tim. of course they both try to cheat anyway. but the general set up is they pass him back and forth each time Tim comes, with breaks and other sorts of rules. if they're doing this, they're doing it right because they're both competitive bastards who leave no room for grey area.
Tim is ruined within the first hour. he's crying and begging and barely feels like a person. i think Roy and Jason are both mean, cocky sort of doms who pour a lot of dirty talk into all of their touches. i think Roy is the sort who will ignore his own pleasure to focus on Tim. sure, he wants to get off, but he's not focusing on himself and is fine if he ends up basically edging himself for an hour bc he wants to see if he can work his entire fist inside of Tim while Tim cries. Jason on the other hand, is more needy with his pleasure, to the point Roy will mock him about being more of a bottom than Tim is. i think it's fun if Jason likes to ride Tim bc Jason rlly likes to lose himself in his pleasure when he's torturing Tim. it's a maddening dichotomy for Tim to be stuck in-between, knowing that they're both going to torture him in different ways.
in the end, i think Roy wins. just because Roy is a bit older and has more canonical experience sleeping around, he's very smug about proving the point he's always made about being more *experienced* where it counts. Jason is certainly good in bed, but i'm always particular to the headcanon that Jason is very inexperienced and possibly even a virgin the first time he sleeps with Tim. bc rlly when would he have had the *chance* to have sex. (yes, ik about Talia but i either ignore that it breeze over it in fanfic bc i think it was poorly handled which sucks bc JayTalia has so much potential-) and Roy is smug about it for weeks, while Tim is in absolute fear (/lh) bc he knows sooner or later Roy's bragging is going to make Jason demand a rematch and Tim is just waiting for the next time they forcibly clear his schedule.

PLEASE WRITE THAT SPY AU PLEASE
I'M SO TEMPTED AAAAAAAAA,, orz but I can't write anything else until I finish tmdg (and the rest of the fics on my list). But just know that if I do write Floyd spy au, it would naturally have to include these very crucial details and scenes:
✧ hand-to-hand combat training with Floyd and you're one of the only other agents (aside from Jade) who can match Floyd's pace and sporadic fighting style. Exchanging blows is fun, even more so if you manage to give Floyd the ass-kicking of a lifetime. He's lying flat on his back and you're standing over him and he's never been more horny in his life before.
✧ reader finding out that Floyd's father is the head of the mafia they've been investigating on the sly. Perhaps it's one of those scenarios where the mafia has taken something from you or you're on the run from Mr. Leech's debt collectors, so there's lots of angst to be had when you find out Floyd is the son of your enemy. The betrayal is so yummy... orz Floyd being a wolf in sheep's clothing all along. Oh, you thought he was an agent allied under the same cause as you? As if. <3 (or the misunderstanding angst!!!! Floyd trying to tell you that he's different and not like his father, but you won't hear any of it.)
✧ things get particularly perilous during a mission and maybe the enemy has you cornered. You think this is the end, but then Floyd's there, killing them in the most brutal, cold-blooded way. And you don't see his usual goofy, carefree grin or hear his nasally laughter. It's just this blank, dead-eyed stare and the ever-so-subtle curl of his lip as he sneers at the one who dared to threaten his Shrimpy's life. He shrugs off the bloodlust afterwards just to give you a silly smile and say, "Aww, did I scare ya, Shrimpy? My bad."
✧ missions with Floyd as your partner never go to plan, which means you're both often called into Azul's office so he can scold the two of you (although most of his ire is usually directed at Floyd) for "fucking up the mission." And Floyd has such a smart mouth on him, so it drives Azul insane (even though Azul knows what he's getting into when he assigns these missions to Floyd; it's mainly why he has a partner. You're there to keep him in check). T_T
"But we got the stuff you wanted, Azul."
"Yes, but I specifically said it was to be entirely covert."
"But we got the stuff."
"But you weren't covert."
"So what? We got the stuff. Who gives a damn about—" and you're already dragging Floyd out before he can continue bickering with Azul.
✧ Floyd who always gets you into the most dangerous situations during missions and he's always the one who saves you from said situations. Danger just follows him wherever he goes, but he also has a penchant for inciting it.
✧ his code name is "Bind the Heart," but Floyd thinks that's so lame and so he just uses his real name even though Azul's choked him out for it every time. So now he settles for BTH as a shortening and if anyone asks what it means he says, with full seriousness, "Bacon Tomato Hamburger." LOL
✧ Floyd who is so down bad for you that he's always flirting with you in his own weird, Floyd way, and each time you shut him down with a stern, "Never gonna happen," because you're dedicated to your job (and love is a distraction in this line of work). But Floyd's not one to give up and he keeps trying because according to him, "Never might be today and tomorrow, but Shrimpy doesn't know what'll happen in the future..." (He's right; the two of you end up fucking months later because Azul booked a hotel room for you to share on one of your missions and it did have more than one bed, but why sleep separately when you can sleep together?)
✧ despite how closely you and Floyd work together and how chatty he can be when he's in the mood, neither of you know much about the other's personal life. Cue Floyd wanting to know more about you and you getting suspicious each time. And he always answers your questions with, "Because. Can't I ask about Shrimpy's life if I'm plannin' on bein' in it long-term?" He will be the death of you........ orz
✧ Floyd gets himself badly injured on a mission, so he's stuck on bed rest until he heals up. Which means you're transferred to Agent Shock the Heart in the meantime, and Floyd does not like the idea of you and Jade cozying up during missions. >:( he's in Jade's ear the entire time the both of you are on the mission (he dragged himself out of bed and to HQ's tech room just to steal the microphone from the agent who was in communication with Jade) and he's saying stuff like, "Jade, you lay a finger on Shrimpy and I'll break all of yours..." and Jade just has to be annoying, so he's like, "We get married in June. I do hope you'll be my best man."
✧ a classic confession in the midst of an argument. Maybe the mission got too risky and you have to leave behind your team; you and Floyd get into an argument about it and essentially it ends with him yelling, "Cuz I ain't ready to lose ya!" And you look at him with so much confusion because what is he talking about? And Floyd's so angry he's even tearing up and from there it's a soft admission of feelings: "Cuz I like ya... A lot. A whole fuckin' lot. And I'd rather those other guys take the fall than let you get hurt for 'em." AAAAAAAAAAA OTL

Oh fuck, hi, I'm the anon who sent the the Waltz's World au
Something I forgot to mention was a scene I removed but was gonna describe in bullet points instead, probably cuz of burnout or poor memory or whatever
So a scene I considered writing but never went through with was one where all the Batkids are in the Batcave during a time they beforehand confirmed neither the Bat or his allies would be in it except whoopsie daisies Bruce did a surprise visit
Bruce is walking down into the batcave off-schedule, and when he enters it, he sees all his vigilante kids which alarms him because he didn't want to reveal his identity yet
And then without noticing Bruce there, they all detransform back into the Wayne kids, and afterwards they realized they accidentally revealed all their idenitities to their dad, who they already know is Batman but does he know that?
Either Bruce puts two and two together, realizes his kids who have been vigilantes by his side this entire time always knew he was Batman and now Bruce, Alfred and Barbara have to tackle the fact the Wayne Kids are Waltz's World
Or the Wayne kids successfuly trick Bruce into thinking that they believe Bruce and Batman are dear friends/allies and now Bruce has to tackle this knowledge and keep a facade of being two people until he's ready to reveal he is Batman
Either way it's gonna be an emotional rollarcoaster all the way
Honestly the reveal for Barbara and Alfred would be an emotional rollarcoaster since they know Waltz's World and the Wayne Kids but view them differently cuz civillians =/= vigilantes until they do
=============
Also I think I forgot to mention that Cassandra uses the vigilante name Orphan in this au
=============
Tim would pass down Robin to Damian and become Red Robin since the batkids have a closer and healthier relationship with eachother
and I think it goes without saying that Tim's relationship with gender in this au is gonna be a rollarcoaster (not that the others journeys wont be) since said identity was acquired from a wish to be treated like an object because it believed (at least subconciously) that that would get it more love from its parents; being seen as a thing instead of their own son, so Robin's gonna have to look inside itself and ask "what am I? Son and Heir of the Drake family, treasure of the Waltz, who am I?" so uh. yeah. fuck
Dick would be in actual tears if Tim figured out and confessed why his Waltz pronouns wound up being it/its
Hello again! That scene would definitely be a woozy (all of them at once sounds chaotic in a fun way). Also, your concept of Alfred and Barbara having separate feelings for the other batkids due to civilians being quite different from vigilantes makes so much sense. I wonder how often they saw each persona before the reveal (Alfred wouldn't have much of a reason to meet the vigilantes due to them "not knowing" Bruce is Batman). It feels like Alfred would have a relationship with them only through what Bruce relays to the older man.
I agree that the batkids would most likely have a better and closer relationship with these dynamics (particularly because Bruce as a father/authority figure isn't meddling with their dynamics to each other).
With the it/its, one would have to be careful to navigate that situation. Those pronouns are perfectly acceptable and fine to use [hence why I have it in my bio], but they have been used against queer folks. There is a very distinct difference between using the pronouns as pronouns and using them in a derogatory manner. People have different feelings about using it/its pronouns (especially between individuals who use it), but one of the reasons some use them is seeing one's identity as nonhuman (like those comments that one's gender is a cryptic goblin in the woods). I think Tim could, in this AU specifically, move from a belief that it needs to become a tool for the Drakes in order to be loved into the notion that it's a cherished being. It probably agrees and disagrees with the statement, "Tim is a human."
Perhaps it's changing appearance (people see it as whomever they want to protect) also fits into its perception of self. It also likely does identify as agender or gender void.
Tim will have to grapple with its trauma, but seeing itself as not quite human is completely okay! I'm sure you, the wonderful asker, know this already. I just wanted to clarify for anyone unfamiliar with it/its pronouns
For those who want to see more of this AU, I linked it below. The post is very long, though

I have brain worms 🤭 Has Satoru and Yura ever gone clubbing on a random night throughout the years?
If they haven't, say hypothetically that they did, what are they like when they're dancing together? 😁 I can't stop thinking about them dancing together to millennial club music because they're 90s kids 🥴
Sorry this took me a couple of days to answer! And that's because I got inspired to write a mini oneshot about it LMAO

Gojo Satoru/Original Female Character Gen, Drunken shenanigans, Fluff 1849 words Summary: Satoru and Yura go clubbing with Utahime and Shoko... Part of this series
This one is set in 2017 before all the bad stuff happens, so Satoru and Yura are in a (mostly) established relationship! I had fun with this ngl, drunk Yura is really fun to write bwahaha
Tumblr media
Early 2017
Clubbing had never been one of Satoru’s favorite activities. Sure, dancing was fun, but dancing in the middle of a crowd of people grinding up against you really wasn’t his idea of a fun time, especially considering how much booze was involved in the whole concept of clubbing. Finding someone to have a good time with rarely provided satisfactory results when he’d tried to do it in a nightclub—again, there was too much alcohol involved—so he generally tried to avoid it when he was by himself.
Of course, tonight he was neither by himself nor was he looking for someone to have a good time with—because that person had already come in with him.
“Cheers!” the three women called in unison before downing their shots in one go, as Satoru only looked at them with amusement. Utahime was in town, which meant Shoko and Yura had decided to have a night out together, and they’d ended up inviting him and Nanami to come along. Nanamin had declined though, claiming he just wanted to sleep, so Satoru was the only man in their little group... and soon enough, he’d be the only one sober too.
“Aaah, it’s so nice to de-stress,” Utahime said with a sigh, leaning back on her seat.
“Your students giving you trouble, Utahime?” he couldn’t help himself. “You’ve got some pretty strong ones to deal with these days, what’s a poor little weak teacher to do—oww,” he yelped as Utahime shot him a glare... and Yura sharply tugged at his ear.
Mostly the ear thing.
“Behave,” Yura chided him, tugging at his ear again. Satoru pouted.
Then he threw his arms around Yura, whining into her shoulder because oh why wouldn’t she let him tease Utahime?
Yura heaved out a sigh and downed another shot.
The music was loud as the four of them continued chatting with each other, one of the many reasons why Satoru didn’t care much for nightclubs. It was hard for them to chat like this, although Satoru would have to admit that he was enjoying the situation more than expected when he had to keep leaning closer to Yura in order for her to hear him, and she also had to lean closer to him. Sure, Yura was slowly starting to smell like alcohol as she and the other two kept drinking all those shots and cocktails, which wasn’t his favorite smell on her... but he wasn’t really minding that a whole lot right now.
And that was because of one very special effect that alcohol had on her...
“Let’s dance!” Yura called at one point, and Satoru was trying to bite back his grin.
Because even though he didn’t care much for alcohol himself, it actually got Yura loosening up pretty fast. And a loosened up Yura was a happy—and touchy—Yura, so Satoru followed her and the other two to the dance floor with his shoulders perked up.
It wasn’t hard to get in the groove of things, even if he was probably the only sober person in this entire crowd of people. Watching Yura dance around and laugh with Shoko and Utahime did help, and Satoru grinned as he followed along—pointedly bumping away any handsy sweaty dudes that tried to get a little too close.
(Seriously, why were there so many of them?)
But overall, Satoru wasn’t having a bad time at all. Yura seemed to be having fun, and Satoru was particularly enjoying himself watching her have fun, dancing around carefree in front of him. He may have purposefully pulled out some, ahem, retro dance moves in order to get her to giggle at him, which had been all worth it when he saw Yura’s beaming (and flushed) face, even in the middle of the flashing lights of the dance floor.
See? There was no need for him to get drunk in order to enjoy things. Yura seemed to be doing enough of that for the both of them...
Satoru let himself sway around as the three women downed more shots, turning away from them slightly as he followed the beat. He’d been in the process of turning back to them when he suddenly felt someone pressing against his side, and he quickly blinked down to find an unknown woman there.
The woman smiled up at him. Satoru only blinked down at her again, even though she probably couldn’t see it behind his glasses. His Infinity wasn’t registering her as a threat, but he still activated it to keep her away, since the woman kept trying to dance against him—
That’s when he felt two arms wrapping themselves around his torso—familiar arms, this time. Satoru’s face immediately broke out in a grin as he glanced behind him to find Yura pressed against his back, and not only was Yura trying to tug him away from the woman, but she was also pouting.
His grin widened.
Was she jealous?
“Yuraaa,” he called, even though he was drowned out by the loud music. The unknown woman was quickly forgotten as Yura’s fingers tightened on his shirt, still trying to pull him away, and Satoru happily let Yura do just that.
Then his grin widened even more when Yura pressed her face against his back, then even more somehow as she started to awkwardly sway around in place like she was trying to dance without actually letting go of him.
Well, if she wanted to get touchy, they could get touchy.
Satoru let his hands cover hers from where they rested on his front, trying to match the sway of his body to hers. A sober Yura probably would have never ended up in this position in public, so maybe Satoru was enjoying it a little too much while it lasted. The thought of her feeling jealous over him also tickled him to no end, and he caught the unknown woman from before shooting him disappointed glances as she found that he was, ahem, taken.
So taken that Yura still refused to let go of him at all.
(Satoru grinned at the thought.)
The loud beats continued, Satoru and Yura’s bodies moving together just a tad bit awkwardly with the lack of space between them as Yura still didn’t let go. Not that he was complaining—he was enjoying it very much. So much so that he almost whined when Shoko interrupted them to hand Yura a drink after she and Utahime came back from the bar.
“Hate to break this up,” Shoko said. “But here’s your drink—if you don’t take it, I will drink it.”
Yura unwound her arms from around his torso, and now Satoru was the one left pouting.
“I’m gonna start cutting you off,” Satoru told Yura, shooting the drink a look. He was half-joking, half-serious, because Yura was now at just the right level of drunkenness—loosened up enough to get touchy in public, while not quite at the level of regretting it all later.
“No,” Yura replied, trying to shoot him a glare that was mostly a pout.
“Yes,” he responded. He was trying to bite back a grin.
“No,” Yura repeated, and this time she pulled her drink away from him. She might actually be crossing over to the too much level of drunkenness right now...
“Yes,” he said again, lifting a hand to grab at her glass, playfully tugging it to him. So she tugged it back, and he tugged at it again, and they locked themselves into a half-hearted tug-of-war with her drink until Satoru eventually just grabbed Yura’s hand to twirl her around instead, making her pout immediately shift into a giggle.
He would let her have this one last drink—but that would be it. Otherwise he would have to deal with a drunk Yura begging for sex and/or karaoke later and he’d be stuck being the responsible one saying no.
He hated being the responsible one. He just wanted to enjoy a drunk, touchy Yura instead.
(So he did, as the two of them went back to dancing. Not quite pressed against each other like before, but this time around he allowed himself to always be touching her one way of the other—twirling her in place, tugging her by the hand, holding on to her waist...)
He really wouldn’t mind coming to a club more often, to be honest... as long as Yura was with him, of course.
-
The car door slammed shut as Shoko and Utahime finally left, Satoru having dropped them off at Shoko’s place as the designated driver for the night (and always). And immediately after, Yura let out a sigh from her spot on the passenger seat, turning to him with a glint in her eyes before he even started driving again.
“Satoru,” she called, and he turned to her with an amused eyebrow. Yura was staring at him dead in the eye, nodding at him seriously. “Let’s go karaoke.”
Satoru snorted. He couldn’t say he hadn’t seen it coming.
“It’s very late,” he said, and Yura pouted. “Plus, we’ve got karaoke at home.”
He had bought himself a karaoke machine for this exact occasion—to fulfill a drunken Yura’s ever-present desire to sing karaoke after drinking a little too much.
“But I wanna gooo,” Yura whined, throwing herself closer to him as much as her seatbelt would allow.
And Satoru grinned, even though her pout was making him want to cave in to her request.
“We’ll go to my place,” he said, leaning closer to her. “And I’ll let you karaoke for as long as you want, how about it?”
Their faces were very close now, and Yura’s intensified pout was doing something to his insides as his eyes looked down at her lips. And Satoru couldn’t help himself; his hand reached up to cup her cheek, thumb brushing over soft skin before he finally leaned forward to press his lips to hers.
He'd been meaning to do this all night...
When Satoru finally pulled away, he ended up grinning at the dazed look on Yura’s face—dazed, but pleased, her face flushed and her lips shining, almost urging him to dive right back in.
“...Okay,” she finally breathed out, her tongue poking out to lick at her own lips. “Let’s go have sex.”
Satoru snorted. His hand patted at her cheek. “Maybe if you were less drunk,” he said before pulling away, Yura’s ensuing whine making him snort again.
It took all his willpower to not lean back in, especially as Yura let out an adorable huff.
“Then I wanna cuddle,” she said, and Satoru glanced at her to find her pouting again as he started the car.
Satoru grinned. “We can cuddle,” he agreed.
“...Cuddle and karaoke.”
Satoru let out yet another snort at Yura’s negotiating. “We can do both at the same time if we go to my place.”
Yura perked up at that, falling back into her seat with a satisfied nod, and Satoru held back a laugh.
Drunk Yura really was so easy to please sometimes...

End notes: I hope this answered the ask hehehe. Sometimes inspiration just strikes me and bam there u go, but to put it short: it's rare for them to go clubbing, but they have done it on occasion. They're more likely to go to a bar or something, but that's also a mostly Yura and Shoko activity with Satoru occasionally joining in ('cause he doesn't drink).
Speaking of drinks, I just really like writing drunk Yura ehehehe. I think the reason why drunk Yura is so fun is because when we strip away her inhibitions, we find that she's just as silly and needy and clingy as Satoru, it's like those two are just made for each other! (I mean, technically yes, she is my OC.......)
It's just really fun to have Yura be the clingy one for once!

Unbreakable Ties / Kushina Uzumaki x Mikoto Uchiha x Hyuga! Female Reader
Tumblr media
I give you, the reader, headcanons about being in a relationship with Kushina and Mikoto.
A/n: This was requested by an anon. Enjoy it!
— How did they meet? —
Kushina and Mikoto first crossed paths during their Academy days. Mikoto, always poised and diligent, had already established herself as a prodigy among her peers. Kushina, on the other hand, was the loud and brash “outsider,” constantly trying to prove herself to everyone who underestimated her.
Their initial interactions were filled with tension. Kushina thought Mikoto was a snob, while Mikoto found Kushina’s temper exhausting. That changed one day when a group of older students tried to gang up on Kushina, mocking her for being an Uzumaki and an outsider.
Mikoto, unable to stand the unfair treatment, intervened. Using her impressive Uchiha techniques, she quickly defused the situation and sent the bullies running. Kushina, impressed but unwilling to admit it, blurted out, “I didn’t need your help, but thanks anyway!” Mikoto only smiled, replying, “You’re welcome. Next time, I’ll let you handle it—if you can.”
That moment sparked a friendship, with Mikoto often helping Kushina refine her chakra control while Kushina encouraged Mikoto to let loose and have fun. By the time they graduated, they were inseparable.
Kushina met Y/n during one of her training sessions. Frustrated by her lack of progress with her chakra chains, Kushina was blowing off steam by smashing training dummies in the forest. Y/n, who had been meditating nearby, couldn’t ignore the commotion.
When Y/n approached, Kushina immediately assumed they were there to criticize her, snapping, “What do you want? Here to tell me I’m doing it wrong too?” Y/n, unbothered by Kushina’s fiery temper, calmly replied, “Actually, I think I can help.”
Though skeptical, Kushina reluctantly accepted her guidance. Y/n’s calm, methodical approach to chakra control balanced Kushina’s fiery determination, and after a few hours, Kushina finally managed to stabilize her chains.
Kushina grinned, throwing an arm around Y/n’s shoulders. “You’re not bad, you know that? Maybe I’ll keep you around.” Y/n, used to stoic clan interactions, was both amused and a little flustered by Kushina’s directness.
Mikoto and Y/n first met at a formal event held by their clans. Both had been roped into attending by their respective elders, and neither of them was thrilled about it.
During the event, Mikoto noticed Y/n standing alone, looking just as uncomfortable as she felt. Deciding to offer some company, Mikoto approached and introduced herself. Their conversation quickly revealed their shared dislike for the rigid traditions of their clans and their longing for a sense of freedom.
Y/n admired Mikoto’s poise and subtle wit, while Mikoto was intrigued by Y/n’s quiet strength and sharp intellect. By the end of the evening, they had found a kindred spirit in each other, and Mikoto left with a rare feeling of excitement.
The real magic happened when Mikoto invited Y/n to join her and Kushina for a training session. She thought the two would benefit from each other’s contrasting styles, but she underestimated just how well they’d click.
Kushina and Y/n immediately fell into a friendly rivalry, sparring fiercely while Mikoto watched with amusement. The session ended with all three of them collapsing on the ground, laughing and teasing each other.
From then on, they became a trio, spending more time together both on and off the training field. Over time, their bond deepened, and it became clear to all three of them that their feelings went far beyond friendship.
One evening, after a particularly grueling mission, Kushina was the first to voice it, blurting out, “I don’t know about you two, but I think we’re pretty awesome together. Like, maybe too awesome. We should just make it official already.”
Mikoto raised an eyebrow, smirking. “Is that your way of asking us out?”
Y/n, slightly flustered but smiling, added, “I think she’s right, though. We… fit.”
— How did their relationship develop through the years? —
Early Relationship (Teen Tears)
Kushina is the boldest and most impulsive of the trio, often initiating plans and dragging the others along for the ride. She’s the one who first proposes the idea of all three of them dating, exclaiming, “Why not? I love you both!” and refusing to accept any objections.
Mikoto is the calm and diplomatic one, initially worried about how their relationship might affect their clans. But she can’t deny how much she loves the other two. She’s the one who keeps the trio balanced, often soothing Kushina’s fiery temper and encouraging the more reserved Y/n to step out of her comfort zone.
Y/n is the quiet and introspective one, often caught between Kushina’s fiery energy and Mikoto’s graceful poise. At first, she struggles with feelings of inadequacy, wondering if she truly belongs in such a dynamic relationship. But her sharp intellect and unwavering loyalty eventually convince her she’s an irreplaceable part of the trio.
The three often sneak out together for late-night training sessions or long walks under the stars. Kushina and Mikoto love teasing Y/n for being the first one to blush whenever they hold hands or steal kisses.
Their relationship starts as a secret, with only Minato and Fugaku catching on. Minato supports them wholeheartedly, while Fugaku… let’s just say he’s perplexed but respects Mikoto’s choices.
More Settled Relationship ( Young Adult Years)
Once they become young adults, they’ve fully embraced their relationship and have even figured out ways to combine their skills in combat.
Kushina’s fiery nature and chakra chains are complemented by Y/n’s precision and Byakugan, while Mikoto’s Sharingan provides the strategic edge.
They joke about being the ultimate team, calling themselves “The Triangle of Doom.”
Living together is a blend of harmony and chaos:
Kushina insists on cooking but burns things half the time. Mikoto takes over, while Y/n supervises to keep things on track.
Y/n is the most organized, ensuring that their ninja gear and household chores are handled, but Kushina loves playfully disrupting her system just to get a rise out of her.
Their relationship is filled with tender moments, like quiet mornings spent drinking tea together or nights spent laughing and sharing stories from their missions.
— How did their Clans and Friends react to them as a couple? —
The Uzumaki Clan:
They’re thrilled Kushina has found love, but they’re a bit surprised that she’s sharing that love with two other women. After a brief adjustment period, they embrace Mikoto and Y/n as part of the family.
The Uchiha Clan:
They’re much more conservative, and while Fugaku eventually warms up to the relationship, others in the clan gossip behind Mikoto’s back. Mikoto handles it with grace, while Kushina threatens to “teach them some manners” if they don’t back off.
The Hyuga Clan:
Initially, the clan sees the relationship as a threat to tradition. The reader’s stern and respected demeanor eventually wins them over, though the elders are forever skeptical about Kushina’s brashness.
Minato is their biggest supporter, cheering them on and offering advice when needed. Jiraiya, on the other hand, is both curious and flustered, occasionally asking questions that earn him a chakra punch from Kushina.
The Third Hokage was perhaps the least surprised. He had always kept a close eye on promising young ninja, and these three were no exception. When they approached him to make their relationship official and to ensure it wouldn’t cause problems with their clans, Hiruzen simply nodded thoughtfully and said, “As long as this doesn’t interfere with your duties, you have my blessing. Though I do hope you three know what you’re getting into.”
When Tsunade heard the news, she laughed and said, “Now that’s a trio I wouldn’t want to face in a fight. Good for them.”
— How is their dynamic as a couple? —
Kushina loves teasing Mikoto for her “proper lady” demeanor, often coaxing her into relaxing and letting loose.
During a festival, Kushina convinces Mikoto to join a spontaneous dance circle. Mikoto initially resists but ends up enjoying herself as Kushina whirls her around.
Mikoto admires Kushina’s bravery and determination but often has to reel her in when her recklessness gets out of hand.
If Kushina charges into a mission with too much enthusiasm, Mikoto will calmly call her back with a single look.
They share a quiet but deep connection, often enjoying moments of peaceful intimacy—like sitting together, hand in hand, watching the sunset.
Kushina adores how flustered Y/n gets when she’s overly affectionate. She’ll randomly pull Y/n into hugs or pepper kisses on her cheeks just to see her face turn red.
“Come on, don’t be shy! You love me, don’t you?”
Y/n’s calm and analytical nature acts as a balance to Kushina’s impulsiveness. They often strategize together during missions, with Kushina executing plans flawlessly once Y/n explains them.
Kushina loves bragging: “Yeah, this genius over here? All mine!”
Y/n admires Kushina’s ability to light up any room, even if they sometimes have to reign her in when her energy becomes overwhelming.
Mikoto and Y/n share a quiet understanding, often communicating without words. They’re the ones who bring stability to the relationship, especially when Kushina’s antics get out of hand.
Y/n admires Mikoto’s elegance and composure, while Mikoto deeply respects Y/n’s wisdom and determination.
•Mikoto enjoys spoiling Y/n, often brushing her hair or making them tea while they work on clan-related matters.
•“You’re always looking after everyone else. Let me take care of you for a change.”
•They bond over their shared experience of coming from strict clans, often discussing the pressures they’ve faced and how they’ve grown stronger despite it.
•Their relationship thrives on balance:
•Kushina is the passionate initiator.
•Mikoto is the nurturing mediator.
•Y/n is the thoughtful strategist.
•They enjoy quiet evenings as much as exciting outings. Some nights, they’ll curl up on the couch together, sharing stories or reading. Other nights, they’ll be out sparring, their laughter echoing through the training grounds.
•They each have a role in managing their shared home:
•Kushina is in charge of making things lively (decorating, planning fun activities).
•Mikoto keeps the household running smoothly (organizing tasks, ensuring harmony).
•While Y/n ensures everyone stays on track with their goals (training schedules, meal prep, etc.).
— What do they do when they argue? —
Arguments are rare but not unheard of:
Kushina’s temper can clash with Y/n’s reserved nature, especially if she feels Y/n’s not being expressive enough. Mikoto often steps in to help them communicate better.
Mikoto sometimes takes on too much responsibility, trying to be the “perfect” partner, which Kushina and Y/n notice and encourages her to let go of.
Y/n tends to overthink and worry about the relationship’s future, which Kushina dispels with her optimism and Mikoto eases with her reassurance.
Despite any conflicts, their love for each other always shines through, and they never go to bed angry.
— Who is the most affectional between them? —
Kushina is the most openly affectionate, always looking for excuses to hug, kiss, or cuddle. She thrives on physical touch and loves showering her partners with love in public or private.
Mikoto is more subtle but deeply romantic. She expresses her love through thoughtful gestures—preparing their favorite meals, leaving sweet notes, or simply being there when they need her.
Y/n shows love through actions and loyalty. She might not say much, but she’s always the first to notice if one of her partners is upset and will quietly find ways to help.
Bonus:
During joint missions, their teamwork is almost too good, to the point where enemies accuse them of using unfair advantages. “How is this even allowed?!”
Kushina constantly pushes for public displays of affection, much to Mikoto’s embarrassment and Y/n’s shy protests.
One time, Kushina and Y/n pranked Mikoto by switching all her elegant kunai with training ones. Mikoto gets her revenge by rigging both their gear bags with harmless (but incredibly annoying) traps.
They have a legendary reputation in Konoha as the trio who can take on any challenge, but everyone knows they bicker like an old married couple behind the scenes.

hunter baby fever haver so true. guy who is mentally furnishing a nursery before even having his own place. baby name book addict. hes comparing & crossreferencing BI & earth names as soon as children start to be a possibility
Fr I don't think he even particularly cared about kids at all until a certain point. Like his lukewarm reaction to little Philip in Hollow Mind, before he actually realized who he was? He was all like "Hm. Yes. That certainly is. A Child."
But then he starts his apprenticeship under Dell and suddenly he's exposed to kids every day. And he's put into situations where he needs to talk to them and understand them because it helps with the palisman carving process. And he was pretty awkward at first cuz he has barely had any interaction with children before this (King was the only child he knew, who happens to be very mature for his age) and kids are weird and bizarre and unpredictable and Hunter is a little out of his depth. But he gradually get accustomed to it and even warms up to being around them, even finding them endearing. So at that point he's like "Hmmm....maybe....maybe I'd like kids one day. Maybe....."
But then, but then, but THEN!!! But then he's at work one day and somebody lets him hold their baby and its all fucking over for him. It awakens the beast. He's not normal anymore. How can he possibly be normal??? How??? How can he continue to exist and live an indifferent life when babies are so fucking SMALL?????? WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!! And then it just gets worse and worse and worse over time. He gets more and more comfortable with kids. He holds more babies. Now he's just insane about it.
And the thing is. Hunter knows he and Willow are too young for a baby. He knows neither are emotionally mature enough. He knows they still have so much growing up to do. He KNOWS okay he knows. So he's not begging for a baby. He has no intention of trying to have a baby right now. But that doesn't stop him from being in AGONY over the fact that it's gonna be several years before he can have a baby. His primal instincts are like. WANNA HOLD BABY!!! WANNA SQUISH BABY!!!! WANNA SMOOCH BABY!!!!!
Man is sighing wistfully over little baby clothes at the market and Willow's kicking herself for leaving him unattended cuz now he's gonna be in one of those moods tonight where he's whispering potential baby names in her ear when they're cuddling and she's had ENOUGH of it. She already wakes up every morning to twelve video links from Hunter of toddlers eating lemons and making funny faces or some shit because its usually in the middle of the night when his fever is the most potent.
Willow wants kids one day too. But she's also in very deep in her Flyer Derby thing. So while Hunter's idea of having children is the aftermath, Willow's mind immediately goes to the pregnancy part. And like. She has no intention of taking a pause from her athlete life yet. She's thriving.
Tho in fairness she does think it's kinda funny just how much of a menace Hunter is over this. He's just. Listen. If Hunter was never supposed to be a father, fate wouldn't land him with so many hobbies that could be utilized for future fatherhood.
An avid bookworm with an insanitable curiosity? He's 19 years old and reading parenting books for fun.
A tailor? He can sew, knit and embroider. He can MAKE little baby hats and mittens and booties and blankets. He'd probably be so excited to do so actually.
Woodcarver? He can build little wooden baby toys. He can make a mobile with little dangling palismen. He can build the goddamn crib itself and carve patterns into it of all of his and Willow's favourite flowers.
Like. He's spent a decade preparing. He's gonna be so ready when the time comes. But also you know that when the time DOES finally come and Willow tells him the exciting news, Hunter's euphoric celebration lasts for a total of four and a half minutes before he's like "Oh Titan....oh Titan, Willow, what if I'm a horrible father?"
He's a mess of a man.

Don't know if you've ever talked on this subject or not, but what's your interpretation on Jumin's relationship with Jaehee after her good ending? Really love how mindfully you explain Jumin's feelings and actions, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter! Especially bc her route kinda leaves many people feeling like he's an antagonist of sorts 😬 But I kinda always felt like he'd respect her a lot, especially once he sees how much passion she puts into her dream? And Jaehee shows her genuine care for Jumin, too, moreso after his infamous crash. I'm kinda babbling here, but yeah! Really curious to read up on your interpretation <3
I haven't talked about this before actually—I think there's a lotttt of nuance to it and I didn't want to be haphazard with it in case it comes across as me being over lenient with corporate heirs or whatever hahah. I promise I'm not! I just love Jumin. Also sorry this took me a while to answer, I had actually just started a game the day you sent it with the intention of doing Jaehee's route so I decided I would play before responding to ensure it was fresh in my mind. I hadn't played her route in so long, and I wanted to get the Jumin outgoing calls too!
To get into how I think he would treat her after some time passes I first want to discuss their dynamic in her route a bit, because I honestly think people are unnecessarily harsh on him because of it sometimes. I personally don't feel as if they pushed him too far into an antagonistic role, but perhaps since Cheritz weren't bringing in an outsider (à la Echo Girl or Sarah Choi) to act as the driving force it seemed that way to some people? It was inevitable given the nature of Jaehee's struggles that Jumin would be viewed as the bad guy in a sense, but I feel like it's often sort of blown out of proportion due to a misunderstanding of both Jumin's intentions and his character as a whole. He is admittedly at his worst in Jaehee's route, but people tend to brush his actions during it off as completely out of line and absurd and then go on to use it to totally mischaracterise him as someone who doesn't value his employees whatsoever or is an abusive boss. In reality though, the way he acts as a superior in general as well as given the specific circumstances is very... Jumin? in that it's logical and efficient and goal-driven. Jaehee's route is such a push and pull in the sense that the two of them clash repeatedly in a scenario where neither person is willing to compromise—for what, to each of them personally, is good reason! Jaehee is a victim of a wider system, of capitalism itself, less so than of Jumin as an individual.
On one hand, Jaehee having to give up a project she was finally actually enjoying working on would be incredibly frustrating, even without having something she actively dislikes stacked on top of it. I get why she went against Jumin's wishes of doing a bad job (why would she choose now of all times to put in half of her effort when it's something she's actually having fun with?) and I get why she used Seven's cat hotel proposal. Life can be messy like that. Sometimes you have to make a decision that has a shitty outcome for someone else for your own sake or vice versa. She should be doing something that makes her happy, and had she not gotten the encouragement to find something she loves she would have continued to feel unfulfilled for god knows how long. Plus, in regard to the coffee report she is still technically doing her job and doing it well, even if going against her boss' personal wishes in doing so. She also does use her own time to revise it in the end so Jumin can have his way (and maybe a little bit so she can use her ideas for her own place) so, to me, that says she understands where he's coming from and doesn't particularly resent him. It's a complex situation for sure, and objectively Jumin does have the upper hand even if he doesn't quite realise the extent of it. I absolutely support Jaehee in her endeavours; I love her so much and she absolutely deserves better than eternal C&R bullshit.
At the same time, Jumin's perspective does make sense if you try to understand his worldview a bit more. Jaehee is the only person at C&R he feels he can genuinely rely on, and when he's already been thrown through a loop with his father prior to her disobedience it's entirely logical that he would feel as if everyone who should be working with him is suddenly against him. Jumin has been shown before to not quite have a grasp on the social standing he holds over Jaehee, for example in this chat from deep story day 2 where he doesn't understand why she can't tell him, as he told her, that she doesn't like seeing him in chatrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I think it's genuine obliviousness as opposed to purposeful ignorance; he overlooks bigger structures at play because he legitimately values hearing the honest opinions of the people around him and expects them to have a mutual respect for him. As far as Jumin is concerned his employees should be able to come to him with honest feedback, but of course that typically isn't the case and so Jaehee can't express how she really feels to him lest she face consequences. Jumin's thought process when it comes to employment is shown to be, to put it simply, people work for money -> more work is more money -> more work is good, and it hasn't been explained to him why this isn't the case for a lot of people. Jaehee's actions register to Jumin as is simply a betrayal of his trust and respect, because he doesn't quite see the level at which he and Jaehee are on unequal footing in the first place. On top of that he is rigid in that he needs everything to be done as he expects it; he does not like sudden change and (as demonstrated in his own route) can be incredibly rattled by it if he is already otherwise stressed or overworked. Just because he stands strong for his friends does not mean he is entirely invulnerable to being overwhelmed and acting out, and while I completely agree he was on some level being selfish in regards to the cat project, at the point where Jaehee quits she has already left him with what (to Jumin) is a mess to handle essentially on his own. He is overworked too, something Jaehee admits herself, and he wanted to transfer the coffee project to another department both to make less work for the two of them and in order to not succumb to his father's lack of consideration for anyone or anything but his current partner.
Again I do not blame Jaehee for anything she did whatsoever—I think it was a good idea for her to quit and she absolutely deserves the happiness she finds in MC and their café!—but Jaehee is incredibly competent and Jumin knows that. Consequently he knows she has big boots to fill and it can't be done on a whim. I'm sure you can see why he would be incredibly frustrated. As a whole it's just a very messy situation where the two of them can't really fathom the other's perspective. Their lives and outlooks on the world are so intrinsically different at this turning point in Jaehee's life, and that's fine. Neither of them have bad intentions towards the other whatsoever.
Now to actually answer your question! Firstly I want to put out there that he says this on days nine and ten respectively:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then I want to add that I do not think Jumin is the type to hold a grudge. He is shown frequently to take on a sort of each to their own/whatever will be will be attitude, and though this situation is something that impacts him directly I can't imagine him taking it any more personally in the long term than he would anything else. Sure he's a little hostile in her AE, but to be completely honest with you I do not think he would have gone to visit the café at all if he was completely furious and had lost all respect for Jaehee (and/or MC) after her endeavours. Again he knows that Jaehee is highly capable, hardworking, and generally a very good person, and I can't imagine that one rocky dilemma between the two of them is something that would make him bad tempered around her forever. He still clearly held her highly and has a lot of respect for her despite their differences, and she doesn't seem to have any ill will towards him either. Ultimately, as you say, he would grow to respect her passion and would hear her out on why she took the course of action she did in the end. While Jumin may not be great at putting himself in others shoes he can identify patterns well, and it lets him draw parallels between his own experiences and other people's. Once he finds the common ground (he knows how fulfilling passion projects can be, he knows how frustrating it can be to work yourself to the bone for others' sake without any real incentive, and he values real friendship an awful amount) I think he would accept it.
I actually feel like hypothetically in the long term not working together would be good for their relationship in terms of RFA too—Jaehee was only made part of the group originally because of Jumin and it meant that all of their interactions even amongst their mutual friends were that of a work relationship. We know they both dislike being in chatrooms together and dislike hearing each other talk outside of work, which was bound to have put a strain (even if very minor) on their association with RFA as an organisation. Jaehee even says herself it's like an extension of C&R for her! Dropping the working boundary between them means less tiptoeing around each other and more openness among friends, especially for Jaehee.
As for Yoosung becoming Jumin's intern/assistant, I don't think it would carry the same tone into RFA as it did with Jaehee since they are already well associated without the business relationship prior to Yoosung being hired. Sure things might be a little weird at times, but no discomfort or frustration to the same extent. It's already shown to be kind of unserious and silly, and I honestly don't think Yoosung would last long as Jumin's assistant anyway, lol.

a mismatched mess: a fitz and molly essay
In my re-read of ROTE, I am struck again by the profound mismatch between Fitz and Molly. Neither complements the other, and their relationship is fraught with tension and incompatibility. However, what really compels me to write this is what seems to be the prevailing sentiment within the fandom that places the blame squarely on Fitz’s shoulders. I believe that this perspective is an oversimplification and rather unfair to Fitz. The demise of their relationship was not unilaterally caused by Fitz; rather, it was a shared unraveling.
I will be focusing solely on events up to the end of Royal Assassin, avoiding spoilers for subsequent books. I will put it under a read more as it will be long...
I want to disclaimer that while I may appear fairly critical of Molly's behavior, I do not think she did anything particularly wrong and do believe her emotions and reactions are largely justified. It is just precisely because of who she is (and who Fitz is) that I believe they are a bad match. Additionally, I think Fitz's wrongs have been hashed out extensively so I will only briefly touch on points I disagree with and not elaborate overmuch on his failures in their relationship.
I will begin with their first reunion in Royal Assassin. Fitz has just returned to the Keep after being on his deathbed for several months. Each person he encounters barely recognizes him through his wasted and sickly appearance. Fitz, embarrassed by his weakness, pulls a foolish move: he claims to be drunk when a passing serving girl—none other than Molly—crosses his path. His attempt to save face and avoid interaction turns futile. And yet, despite the evidence that Fitz is clearly sickly in appearance, Molly's first reaction is not concern. It is not to hear his side of the story nor to find out how he has been, nor consider anything that he may have gone through. Instead, she is focused only on her own experiences, and her own feelings and thus responds only with pure outrage and begins firing off accusations with misplaced anger.
Without basis, she accuses him of courting her and then abandoning her. I think many take this claim at face value, because "Fitz should have known what he was doing" (as Patience also intoned). However, let's consider the books have established a three-year age gap between Fitz and Molly. Thus, in Assassin's Apprentice, Fitz would have been begun "courting" Molly at around the age of 13-15 while Molly was 16-18. Even without viewing this through a modern lens, this claim feels like a stretch to me. Imagine expecting a young boy, barely schooled in social norms, to understand that strolling through town with a childhood friend equals courtship. No words or actions passed between them that indicated anything more than friendship. I believe Patience's scolding and instructions were fitting and commendable. However, Molly’s internalization of this narrative against Fitz seems misplaced and unfair, given her knowledge of their shared history and relationship.
Then, after he shares his concern for her about what he saw in his dream. She accuses him of purposely scheming and attempting to deceive her; that he must have heard her whole story in the tavern and is just making fun of her. This is again a very unfair characterization for her to place on Fitz; nothing she knows about him should indicate that he would do something like this at her expense.
She has a right to be upset that Fitz kept his true identity from her. But he also had a right to do so. She gave him no grace and despite his apparent weakened state, she did not allow him to give any explanations. Worse, because of how Fitz is, he immediately accepts her view of the situation and berates himself for not realizing the courtship, despite having had no tools of his own to recognize that. This pattern continues throughout their relationship.
And this, in essence, is what makes Fitz and Molly such a toxic pair. She accuses him of things he does not intend or cannot change, and he, like a sponge, absorbs them as truth, eroding his own perspective and identity. And on the other side, I believe Molly deserves someone who will challenge her. Someone to stretch her boundaries, broaden her horizons. A companion who could wholeheartedly dedicate their life to a family and business together in partnership. Because, while not necessarily a flaw, she has blinders on and focuses largely on her personal happiness and fulfillment. She does not want to bother with thinking of the realm, the raiders or the help other families may need. This is a chasm between her and Fitz, whose heart bleeds for his people's misfortune and feels a duty to his station and Kings. Instead of embracing and appreciating Fitz's compassionate heart and will to make the Six Duchies a better place, she frequently berates him and minimizes his feelings by accusing him of only being a mere king's pawn unable to think and choose for himself.
Especially as readers, we know this isn't the whole truth. We’ve witnessed Fitz’s tears for a dead child cradled in his arms, felt the fire of vengeance burning within him against the raiders. Molly has not, and yet, it does not seem she cares to know. To each of Fitz's explanations, she complains and argues. While we only get the taste of a few of these encounters, Fitz comments that it is a frequent topic of contention between them.
Molly wants Fitz to fit into her mold and she wants what makes her happy to be what makes him happy. She longs for the days when Fitz was only Newboy. She says she just doesn't understand the things he tells her, and yet I feel this is the same "not understanding" that Fitz employs with the Fool; in fact, it is very much understood, it is just not what they want to acknowledge as truth. Because Fitz is not Newboy, and because she subconsciously blames Fitz for not being Newboy, she thus does not put in effort to know and accept Fitz for who he is. I do not consider her calling Fitz as Newboy throughout Royal Assassin a simple nickname; to me it speaks of Molly desperately trying to reverse time and put Fitz back in the box she liked him best in.
I think exactly how little Molly knows Fitz is further illustrated by the Nighteyes-as-Fitz scene. It is a weird and, in some ways, humorous scene, but what struck me is how Molly appears to know Fitz so poorly that she did not sense anything amiss about an intimate encounter with a literal wolf in Fitz-clothing.
Returning to Fitz's identity and 'lies' throughout their relationship, I personally do not believe that Fitz owed her the truth of his identity from the beginning. It was a deeply personal matter and I believe it was not wrong for him to keep it private. As a young boy, he felt his status as a bastard was deeply shameful, and it is no wonder he would not share it. In my opinion, he would have a duty to disclose if he had truly begun to court her, however he was never given this chance.
So, did he continue to lie after his identity was revealed to her? I do not believe so. He shares much with her about what he does, and about Verity and King Shrewd. It is not a question to me that he would not be able to disclose every detail of what he knows; his knowledge of his kingdom's affairs and his identity as an assassin are not entirely his secrets to share. There are surely modern equivalents of this as well. It is hardly unusual to be unable to share some portions of one's work with one's partner. However, Molly deems this as unacceptable and unforgiveable, despite her lack of interest in what he does— a further inherent incompatibility in their relationship. Instead of offering understanding and support for the isolation that Fitz must feel for being in such a position with his Kings, she resents him for things he has no real power to change. Keep in mind if he had left the Kings' protection at the time, his life would surely have been threatened as Chivalry's was lost. Molly should be able to understand this, and yet she cannot see past her current unhappiness.
In her time at the Keep, Molly also puts a large amount of pressure on Fitz. She is out of her element, she has had a traumatic experience, she knows no one at court. And so, she often complains to Fitz that he doesn't spend more time with her. In a very unhealthy way, she attempts to force him to be everything for her at the Keep— her only social outlet, her support, her protector. Due to this, her resentment for Fitz and his choices grows with every moment he is not with her, and she spends much of their time together asking him to turn away from who and what he is to start a life together.
In the end, both hold the other up as idealized versions one could never hope to fulfil; Molly wants Fitz without his royalty or passion for his people. Fitz yearns for Molly, stripped of independence, her self-driven, entrepreneurial nature tucked away. In their relationship, they offer only moments of fleeting comfort punctuated by feelings of sadness and blame. They cannot fulfill each other's expectations. Molly is unable to bolster Fitz's confidence in himself and the peace and acceptance he desperately craves remain elusive. And likewise, Fitz cannot offer Molly purpose or allow her the sense of security she desires under which to prosper her business and family.
And so, these two are ill-matched and ill-fated, clinging through each other to the last vestiges of a childhood they wish they did not have to leave behind.

❖-Corps | RoLo Main Factoids - At the beginning of the series, Logan and Ororo are in a loving relationship with each other. The two feel their anxieties about the oppressive world around them melt away when they spend their off-time in each other’s arms, even then, Logan continues to carry a sense of unease; All of his other relationships never seem to end well, why would this one be any different? Though, Ororo is always there to assure him that no matter what happens between them, she will always be there as a partner and as a leader for the team. - While Logan is definitely no saint and often gets into heated arguments with his teammates, Ororo appreciates that he wears his heart on his sleeves by being—maybe too brutally—honest. Despite his rough edges, she admires his witty charm and bolstered demeanor, while also finding comfort in the two both having histories neither are too particularly fond of. Logan is said to be quite the gentleman to her as well. - Ororo definitely looks out for Logan when he pushes things too far, often able to deescalate unfavorable situations by asserting herself, even if it means getting caught in the crossfire. Anyway this is foreshadowing. You are reading foreshadowing right now. - Logan greatly admires Ororo’s strength, as a leader, and as a Black-Mutant Woman. He loves how she wears her punk attire because it makes her happy, and being authentic means a great deal to him. Hell, he proudly loves Ororo despite the apparent controversy such an interracial relationship has stirred in the right-wing media in recent times; They’re happy together and that’s what matters. Even if he feels he doesn’t deserve the kindness bestowed upon by his partner, Logan can at least deeply trust in Ororo that they both have each other when things become too much. -After the major incident, Logan broke up with Ororo in order to protect her. Of course, it was incredibly painful for him to do and still feels the ramifications of it, but he can’t risk it whether she survived or not. He doesn’t want to know. -I still want to really emphasize that Ororo isn’t just Logan’s love interest. She fights to represent the BIPOC Mutant community as an X-Corps leader, whether that be through opposing Anti-Mutant legislation in court, or protecting her people on the streets, her intersectionality is something I want to take a sharp focus on in this series and as something she has to deal with both positively and negatively. Ororo Munroe I love youuuu
Tidbits -When embracing, Logan loves it when Ororo gently glides up his spine and administers soft electrical shocks from her finger tips. He feels goosebumps creep up him when this happens and gets a rise out of the sensation. Other times, he likes to be struck by her lightning. Why? He thinks it’s fun. Good thing he’s got a Healing Factor. -Ororo gets sore if she rests on Logan for too long; What Adamantium bones do to a mf. -When Logan needs to chill, Ororo will put a snow cloud over his head. She’s funny like that. She’ll even put a rain cloud over Logan if he’s outside during the summer and needs to cool off. Blow off some steam? She’s got gusts of wind for that. -Logan on the contrary, offers to use his claws to escort Ororo to places (which is nice for date nights) or to get back at people who’ve wronged her…He’s still working on the daily life thing. She tries to occupy him with origami and paper crafting, but he’s already studied the art of the blade, Ororo. He’ll finish the replica of the Eiffel Tower and be on his 5th beer by the time you come back with groceries.

96, 28 and 43? Tav questions for Virranan
and i'm pretty curious about 11, 37 and 40 for Emra
OH! And if its not too much trouble,
Could i ask about Treble with 99
Thank you for the ask! These were really fun ones to think about!
[Tav Ask Game]
Virranan
28. What does your Tav think of Auntie Ethel? What do they tell Mayrina?
The first time Vir meets Ethel in the Grove he can tell somethings a little… off about her, but they’ve got more pressing matters to attend to at the time so they don’t look into it too much.
The second time they meet Vir has a full ‘I knew it!’ moment as she shows her true colors after he doesn’t side with her. He convinces the brothers not to go looking for her and with some nudging from Wyll and seeing her effect on the swamp, decides it’s for the best to dispose of the hag.
Although Vir is annoyed by Mayrina’s attitude after they rescue her, he understands that sad and desperate people often lash out and they still retrieve the wand for her. He does think briefly about breaking the wand himself so she can finally grieve normally but in the end, he brings him back and gives her the wand so she can make the choice herself.
43. What does your Tav think of Jaheira and the Harpers?
Vir loves Jaheria, she fits right into their little group of misfits, and her insightfulness and sense of humor are something that he can relate to. Her calm and levelheaded nature is also something that Vir appreciates, especially as things get more hectic and they need someone to knock some sense into them.
96. Does Lae'Zel remain loyal to Vlaakith, or does she follow Orpheus? Or neither?
In Vir’s canon, Lae’zel renounces Vlaakith and leaves to join the revolution with Voss and Orpheus.
After the first meeting with Voss, it's something that looms over their relationship - Lae’zel is leaving (whether she truly wants to or not) and there is a very real possibility she might not come back, but it's far safer for everyone if she does, no matter how much it hurts.
Emra
11. What goes through your Tav's head when they wake up on the Nautiloid? Are they scared or do they push those feelings aside to focus on escaping?
He’s not particularly scared, maybe more annoyed than anything. This isn't the first time Emra’s woken up in a (very) sticky situation like this and it probably won't be the last. He’s quick to push through and try to get the fuck off the ship and preferably out of literal hell.
37. Did your Tav go to Creche Y'llek? Did they know something was up with the healer?
He did. He didn’t want to, he left his people behind decades ago and had no intention of ever returning to them, but he knew there was no other way to shake Lae’zel’s unwavering loyalty to her people.
The moment they enter the Ghustil’s office Emra already knows how this is going to end. He’s been around long enough to know that the Githyanki’s only cure for a ghaik parasite is death, and if they did have another cure it sure as hell wouldn’t be at some backwater creche. He still lets Lae’zel get into the zaith'isk though, her faith is far too strong for her to get the reality of the situation without some direct consequences.
40. Did your Tav agree to kill the Guardian or did they go talk to them instead?
Emra had no intention to kill the Guardian, but getting a direct order from Vlaakith herself pretty well guaranteed the Guardian's life out of spite alone.
Treble
99. Did Wyll get freed from Mizora? Did he save his father?
Getting Wyll out from under Mizora’s thumb was Treble’s top priority as soon she learned about his contract. Freedom is incredibly important to her so there wasn't a chance in the hells that she was gonna let a good man like Wyll be stuck doing a fiend's bidding.
As for Ulder Ravengard, Treble’s opinion of him is… less than favorable, but keeping him alive is clearly important to Wyll so when they find him in The Iron Throne she makes sure he gets out safely.

not to once again bring twt discourse here but unfortunately i don’t have a dedicated anime account on there so here goes:
every time i see someone come up with a prompt along the lines of “would love to see Geto grovel for forgiveness from Gojo” a lot of people immediately start crying out about how that’s not canon compliant and how Gojo never held any of Geto’s actions against him and it kind of grates on me.
first of all: people are expressing that they want to see a certain dynamic for this ship in fan made works, just because it’s ooc or non canon compliant that doesn’t mean they don’t understand that that’s not the version portrayed in the source material
fanfiction (and stories of any kind tbh) is a medium a lot of people use to express/process/relate their own emotions and experience and a lot of people have been left behind by someone they held dear (be that a lover or a friend or a family member), so the want to see an “ideal” reconciliation where the person who left has to grovel and the people involved spend time talking about their feelings is pretty common
second of all: we can’t even say for sure that it’s canon divergent?!
a lot of people who balk at seeing this dynamic mentioned only talk about Geto’s crimes and i agree that Gojo was not particularly bothered by any of the objectively bad things Geto did (other than trying to kill Yuta but even that didn’t seem to affect Gojo’s feelings towards Geto, it just forced his hand in the end)
but there is a personal “betrayal” in Geto leaving him behind and not really explaining himself in a meaningful way in Shibuya, which is what most people who want fics/art of Geto having to work to rebuild the trust between them are thinking of, much more than any actual evil deeds
now, it is quite likely that Gojo blamed himself in canon, he does have a tendency of taking on all the burdens himself as an adult, and he does frame it as having to “catch up”, so he wouldn’t hold any grudges for that (at least not towards Geto, as opposed to the system that put them both in that situation).
Additionally, Gojo is not the most well adjusted, “looking inwards”, “treat yourself right” kind of individual so while he is hurt by Geto’s defection (hence him drastically changing behavior and it being his only complex) arguments could be made that he wouldn’t even be fully aware of that fact, like a lot of real people aren’t aware of how much something someone did affected them until years later (Gojo honey you need so much therapy for so many reasons, hope that airport has some good therapists for everyone)
Though he did also say that Geto “didn’t want to be saved” so maybe he did to some degree blame him for the fact that he didn’t open up to him when asked
in addition to those ramblings, we don’t really see a lot of post-defection interactions between the two of them under normal circumstances. The two times they really interact in an open fashion are a) while Geto is on his deathbed and b) in the airport/afterlife, neither are really situations where you would choose to bring up hurt feeling that need time and work to heal over. Geto, in his hair brushing scene with the twins seems to be whist fully regretting not talking to gojo after their “argument”
Gojo obviously didn’t resent Geto, he loved him beyond both their lifetimes, but i don’t think them running into trust/abandonment issues when trying to settle back into a “normal” routine and relationship in a long term way, or even Gojo keeping a distant front in an attempt to protect himself from further hurt (which he kind of does in their confrontation at the school in jjk0) during the very much also not canon secret meetings/AU where they both lived somehow is too dramatically out of character
okay rant over
tldr.: just because it’s not canon doesn’t mean it doesn’t make for fun fanworks, that’s what most fanworks ARE FOR, plus canon only gives us limited insight anyway so stop getting all up in arms over it

Unexpected Confession
Pairing: Basil/Jack (+ Sprig)
Rating: M
Warnings: suggestive language/sexual innuendos, swearing, kiss descriptions, implications of past (non-consensual) mind reading.
Word Count: 1k+
Summary: Jack has a meeting he needs to get to, and Sprig ruins a quiet moment (as per usual.)
Notes:
1) I'm finally done!!! Woohoo!! (<- note from a guy who hyper-focused on this piece more than he probably should have.)
2) I haven't written dual perspective in ages, so I have no idea if this actually worked or not. Also, yes, I am aware that neither Basil's or Sprig's lore hasn't been explained (yet), please just roll with it. (The most important things here are that Basil (who is an alien with low level empathic abilities) works on site as a computer tech/on-call scientist, and that Sprig (a sentient mass of plant tendrils with eyes, but no visible mouth) can feel/always know of Basil’s location — due to previous shenanigans.)
[ Basil's lab - 18:00 ]
Basil
‘What do you want? I already thanked you for getting me out of jail.’ Basil asked, looking up at Jack, who was standing on the other side of the table. He was exhausted, and not particularly in the mood to talk to anyone. ‘Please, just go away. ’
‘No, I won’t. Because then I wouldn’t be a very good friend.’ Jack replied, sitting down on the chair across from him. Basil’s chest ached at the usage of the word friend, but he avoided the sensation. ‘You’ve been here for hours, go and get some rest. The base can keep ticking along without you.’
‘Sure,’ Basil laughed derisively. ‘And fish on your planet have wings!’
‘Uh, actually…’ Jack started. ‘There is a species that….’
‘Don’t fact check me.' Basil groaned. ‘It’s bad enough when Daniel’s around.’
'Fair enough.' Jack conceded.
Then Jack’s pager beeped - making him pull it from his pocket and look down at the message.
‘Oh, great! Another meeting’s been scheduled for about ten minutes from now.’ He complained, looking back up at Basil.
'What's this one for?'
‘Apparently they still need me to tie up some loose ends in terms of this whole attempted murder situation of yours.' Jack said, standing and pushing his chair away.
'How fun!' Basil intoned sarcastically. Then their eyebrows crinkled in confusion. ‘Aren’t you going to leave? You know what you’re like with time.’
'Just follow me to the doorway and I'll quit buggin' you.' Jack explained, beckoning him forward.
'Is that an order, Sir?'
'It is.' Jack stated, before turning and beginning to walk out.
'Fine.’ Basil grumbled, taking some of the paperwork from the table and putting it into their lap, turning the chair to the left. Then they begrudgingly scuffed it along the ground, following Jack. ‘Are you happy now?’
'Sure.' Jack replied, but stopped and looked back at Basil from the doorway.
‘What?’ Basil questioned.
‘You’re not going to kiss me goodbye before I go?’
It was a friendly jibe, and rationally Basil knew this, but that didn't stop him from pulling Jack down by his lapels - kissing him hard.
‘Damn.’ Jack murmured admirably under his breath, hands finding their way into Basil's hair.
Shocked by Jack's unanticipated reciprocation (and the strong emotions that came with it) Basil broke the kiss.
Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!
Come on, fucking think of something!
‘That….was a one time thing,’ Basil said after a moment - in an awkward attempt to deflect from the situation at hand. ‘Now, I’m just going to go and give these…to someone else who may need them.’
Basil then quickly picked all of the papers up and stood -- not particularly caring whether Jack was even listening to him -- before walking (as calmly as they possibly could) past Jack and out of the door.
Jack
Jack absentmindedly pressed a hand to his lips, as he watched Basil go.
Did I do something wrong?
Then, quietly, Sprig chuckled. Hearing this Jack closed his eyes in desperation.
Of course we had an onlooker.
(But, there’s nothing I can do about that now.)
‘He’s dropped all of those and is running for the lift, isn’t he?’ Jack sighed, not even bothering to look for Sprig (who was currently attached to the outside of Basil’s empty desk plant pot.)
‘Yes, he is.’ Sprig replied. ‘Go and get your bitch, Colonel.'
[ Basil's lab - 18:05 ]
Basil
'Hey,' Jack said gently, as he shut the door behind him. ‘Can we talk?’
…How on earth did he get down here so fast?
The base elevators can’t be that good, can they?
'What is there to talk about?' Basil snapped, as Jack strode over and sat down on their bed across from them. ‘I’m the one that screwed up, just go to your meeting and leave me alone!'
He's too close, I feel like I’m going to vibrate out of my skin.
'I can't, I postponed it.' Jack replied. 'It'll happen tomorrow now.'
'Is that supposed to make me feel better?' Basil retorted.
'No, and I didn't expect it to.' Jack admitted. 'But that's not the point! The point here is that I'm sorry, Basil.'
‘Well, you shouldn’t be!’ Basil said, voice quavering. 'I've ignored what you obviously feel for Sam! That line shouldn't have been crossed!'
‘Damn it, B!’ Jack groaned, exasperatedly raking a hand through his hair. ‘Don't you get it? You're not Carter - and I don't want you to be! My feelings for her don’t affect my feelings for you! Our kiss should have told you that!'
Oh.
'I’m an idiot.’ Basil muttered.
‘Is that supposed to be news to me?’ Jack teased.
‘Oh, do shut up.’ Basil said, before bridging the gap between them; so that they were standing between Jack's legs, hands resting against his hips.
Jack
Jack, to his surprise, found that he had indeed done as instructed.
(There was no sarcastic remark on his tongue, for once.)
‘May I?’ Basil asked. ‘Kiss you, that is?’
‘Yes, please do.' Jack replied, voice uncharacteristically shaky.
Then, before Jack could blink, Basil had shifted their hands - lifting his head and cupping his face - subsequently initiating a second (and far more passionate kiss).
Closing his eyes Jack kissed them back fervently; wrapping his arms around Basil’s waist to hold them steady as he pulled them closer, before slowly reaching up and snaking a hand into their hair.
Oh, I never want to let them go.
Basil
Eventually, after what seemed like a mere blip in time to Basil, they pulled away from Jack slightly – moving so that their forehead rested against his.
Fuck, this man can kiss!
(I feel like I'm on fire!)
'Are you okay?' Jack questioned, looking up at Basil.
'Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit tingly.' Basil replied. 'But that will pass.'
'Aw, I'm flattered I could make you feel that way.' Jack joked.
Basil opted to not dignify that with a response.
Then, suddenly, Sprig wolf whistled loudly - shattering the silence.
(He had apparently been watching from a spot on Basil’s bookcase, unnoticed, for some time.)
Startled by this noise Basil let go of Jack and fell backwards, landing on the carpet with a loud thud (and a muffled yelp.)
[ 18:07 ]
Jack
'Oh, fuck me!' Basil cursed angrily, sitting up and hitting the carpet with his fist.
‘Woah, hold your horses, cowboy!’ Jack laughed, as he leaned forward and offered a hand to help them. ‘At least let me buy you a drink first.'
‘Jack, you know that’s not what I meant.' Basil said, grabbing hold of Jack's hand – using him to slowly return to a standing position.
'Honey, are you sure about that?’ Sprig taunted, sliding across the floor so he was positioned next to Basil. 'I've been inside your mind, and, honestly, some of your thoughts made even me blush. Which, if you think about it, is quite a high bar.'
'Sprig, stop being an ass!' Jack yelled, interrupting him.
In response Sprig poked his tongue out at Jack, annoyed.
'Very mature.' Jack said, in a voice reminiscent of a tired father. 'What are you, twelve?’
‘I’m far older than that, but I doubt your tiny brain could comprehend my true age. It'd explode before you even got close.’ Sprig replied, snidely.
'Oh, well done.' Jack goaded. 'Took you a long time to come up with that, did it?'
'Actually, now that I think about it, it is the one advantage your lover here has over you.' Sprig continued, ignoring Jack's comment. 'Although so far it doesn't seem to be doing Basil any good. They did fall for you, after all.'
Jack opened his mouth to reply, but stopped when he noticed the icy look in Basil's eyes.
'Huh. I didn't peg you as being the submissive type, Jack...' Sprig sneered. 'Basil, on the other hand, however...'
Basil
‘Sprig, if you don't shut up soon, I'll go and get the wood chipper!’ Basil threatened.
'Oh no, so frightening! However shall I go on?' Sprig responded, raising a tendril to where Basil assumed his chest should be, and gasping mockingly. 'Goodbye, cruel world!
Then he disappeared with a pop, showering Basil with leaves.
‘Well someone must have woken up on the wrong side of the flower bed this morning.’ Jack noted, after a beat.
'Oh, you didn't...' Basil groaned, shaking their head to remove the debris. ‘I think that may have been one of the cheesiest things I have ever heard you say.'
'It's all part of my charm, sweetheart.' Jack replied, grinning. 'I know you love me for it.'
Yes, Jack.
(Yes, I do.)
