I canttt with the people on twitter who say polin has no build up. they had two seasons before this one!!! also bridgerton is a show where couples get together fast! it’s only 8 episodes a season! no shade to the other couples but if you wrote it out, both prior lead couples fundamentally had like 2 weeks and a couple times hanging out before they were risking it all. and in their society, marriage IS fast. for godsake, people start pressuring simon and daphne to get engaged the day after the ball where they first dance! anthony starts talking about proposing to edwina in like episode 2. you don’t have to like polin, it’s fine, but I can’t see another post going “it makes no sense because he didn’t want to date her then they kiss and now he does?” yes that’s the point!!!! he didn’t realize the true depth of his feelings that’s the POINT. need that clip of claudia going it’s FRIENDS to LOVERS, just say you don’t like them and move onnnnnnn it’s not that deep

when ppl ship anyone with a canon aroace character it just very much upsets me? like i know there’s all the loopholes, like how TECHNICALLY aroace people can still date people or feel a little attraction or whatever, but like… i feel like people treat a character being canonically aroace as more of a suggestion than anything?

Like if you had a character being canonically gay, it would be WAY less likely that you see them in straight ships. And even then, that would be in a very tiny portion of the fandom that would be hated on by most other people.

But since, if a character’s aroace, there’s no way to really PROVE it (like in the way that you could show a character is gay by having them visibly be interested in characters of the same gender). You can have them show distaste in sex, you can outright say they’re aroace, but even then you’ll still see them being sexualized without really any pushback.

Maybe it’s just because people like writing romance so much, and if you have a character you like, you want to write them in relationships. And maybe like platonic relationships just don’t seem strong enough for people or something?

-the vamp AU, there's no timeline but basically it starts with this fic, i've yet to draw (and probably write) more for it!

-the secret modern AU, secret because like the vamp AU it was originally meant to be a fic posted anonymously but im incapable of not drawing so now everyone knows. it's a fic i only plan to post once it's complete or nearly complete (or maybe sooner if im feeling bold).

-Alone Together AU, i've only drawn two things for it, im not sure if it actually qualify as a AU but i do have a bunch of comics idea for it.

He watched her face as she spoke, more talkative than her wont, a rather delicate flush to her cheeks that most wouldn’t even notice. But he noticed. He always noticed.

Curufin stuttered to a halt when the ringed hand rose to cup her cheek. “Was this what you were working on for so long?” Finrod asked softly. “What you were acting so secretive about?”

Her lips pressed tight but her intense eyes belied the affection she had poured into this work of love.

“I will cherish it.” Finrod caught her chin and kissed her soundly. “It was a gift from you. Therefore, I will keep it with me always.”
