i have been informed that the seven stars PLUS sun and moon that confused me on Aragorn's sword -- because seven stars were a common medieval theme, as they were the five visible planets plus the sun and the moon -- was in fact the seven stars of the Big Dipper (one of the only constellations for which we have a name in a spoken language -- ie not Latin -- in early medieval non-Muslim Europe*). We did a Costco trip this weekend and stocked up on some things. Spent a ridiculous amount of money of course but I feel good about what we got and how far it will take us. I actually was thinking about taking budget notes for science - what we got, how much it cost, how long it ends up lasting us and what supplemental groceries I get in the meantime? Idk it sounds like a lot of work but also I’m curious so you know maybe I’ll hyperfixate on this for a little while lol

this makes SO much sense to me and also storytime bc when am i not storytelling but the demonic libra man i sometimes mention. He was the same way born vacuum delivery and all… and he had dent but kinda in front ? Anyway when you touch his head it for real felt like little devils horns which for real makes sense for him he WAS devilish. whats your favorite soup

ever since i was a kid i've really loved grießnockerl soup which is a regional dish and basically consists of semolina dumplings (no filling just semolina egg butter salt and nutmeg! they swell to roughly the size of chicken eggs) in a vegetable or chicken broth :) in our family it was a sick day staple and even now when i feel shitty i often make this soup to cheer up and get energy back!

other favourites are pumpkin soup, noodle soup, onion soup, cauliflower soup (w fresh baguette!!), pea soup, flädle soup (traditional soup made from broth and leftover pancakes (think more like crêpes) - maybe sounds weird but tastes delicious), tomato soup etc etc i could go on for ages!!!! i love all vegetable soups i have ever encountered apart from minestrone and potato soup (sorry)!! i just think theyre neat :)

do u have any Big Opinions on soup!
