Look I´m a full believer that you should ship what you want and not harass others for their ships BUT

Lately on the Sauron/Mairon tag I´ve seen some people say he wouldn´t be interested in men!??!? Like I´m sorry to break it to you but he literally saw the most beautiful woman to ever exist and instead of thinking about his own desires he instantly thought "my boss would be so proud of me if I gave her to him."

WHAT´S NOT GAY ABOUT THAT CREATURE!?!??!?

Also on a smaller note the few posts that say Sauron could NEVER be gay are literally calling people weird for shipping him with men?? So, could we please just go back to shipping the mass murder with who we want to and stop bothering others with who they ship him with?? No?

So ship who you want and have fun, talk with those who ship the same and all that, but don´t go in and accuse others for having the wrong ship :)

see i do think there have been actual instances of fandom people just deciding two characters are siblings with no real basis and acting like its canon and forcing that interpretation on others and getting mad at people who disagree . but a lot of the characters i see people list as examples of this happening with are just actually stated to or heavily implied to see eachother as siblings by the source material and at that point i think you just dont see adopted siblings as real siblings idk what else to tell you

mha final volume spoilers

For the past few months I've kinda just come to accept MHA's ending to be whatever. Not the best, but not the worst I've seen it's fine whatever. But seeing the final volume extra content honestly just has me genuinely hating the ending. I'm trying to keep an open mind cuz it's not officially out yet and leaks can be kinda dubious, but I'm genuinely so upset.

Ig the main feeling I have is: genuinely what's the point??? I mean there's a lot of things going on in mha and depending on what you care about ig you could feel like everything's fine and resolved, but personally? Just no. My main problem a few months ago was with Toga's death, but now I'm just even more pissed.

As so many people have probably already discussed: killing the villains off after all this stuff about saving them is a fucking problem right?? With Toga's case specifically (cuz she's my fave and I care the most about her), it's her just dying after she finally found the love and acceptance she's always wanted from Ochako. Like why? Even if you can technically make sense of it with her explanation of "I want to live life as I please", it's just stupid and distasteful. It would be one thing if she said that cuz she was just running away to be free, but to kill her? Of bloodloss of all things? Idc abt people going oh thats sooo poetic, no i think it's stupid. So many other characters have lived after going through worse like for fuck's sake, Edgeshot's still around.

What's the point of that emotional resolution if you don't show the aftermath, of her being able to live happily, or at least how she'll go on with life from then on? She didn't have to die, she could've just escaped or whatever (I was hoping that was the case when there was no mention of Toga's body). But by killing her, the only message I got from mha's whole saving the villains thing is: "sooo maybe having empathy for the deviances of society is important actually, but it's kinda inconvenient to deal with them." And even if that wasn't Hori's exact intention, that's what his story seems to be saying by killing off the villains.

And then the fucking nail in the coffin is the fact that Hori used Toga's death to drive Izuocha. It was one thing when he did it with the cliff talk when Ochako was mourning Toga (I always found it distasteful okay), but it's so much worse to write Toga literally pushing Ochako to Deku. So not only did Hori kill off the queer character who finally had her resolution and romance so he won't have to deal with her, but he's really following through with the Bury the Gays trope by using her o push the girl she loves to a man? Ew.

The worst part is that even if Izuocha got together and they're canon or whatever cuz of that last part, the way Hori did it is so fucking mid. Like seriously, if you were gonna do my girl dirty like that for that het romance, at least make it good?? But noooo. I mean they don't have to be like kissing and getting married and having babies or whatever (that'd just be shit), but at least have them properly get together. What is that "implied romance" ass handshake?? There's no fucking reason to make it implied, they're not queer or forbidden or complicated or anything. Bro just didn't wanna commit to actually fleshing out their romance. And you used Toga and her death for that, for absolutely fucking nothing?? The funniest part is that everything Togachako did is infinitely more romantic than that handshake, so how am I supposed to be convinced by this "implied romance"? (anyone who says implications enough for izuocha I'd say the bar's just on the floor for you cuz they're het)

And then there's Bakugo. I mean I was fine and whatever with the original epilogue, but what the fuck? So you're telling me bro lead Project Deku Hero Suit or whatever for 8 years, only for Deku to reject him when asked to be a part of his agency? It may or may not have been explicitly stated that they'd be in a hero agency together whatever, but I feel like it was a natural conclusion that they'd end up working together/closely as a hero duo? Win to save and save to win, wonder duo defeating ShigAFO together, that hospital talk about competing together for the rest of their lives, him being the one to reach out to Deku at the epilogue chapter, hello? DEKU REJECTED THAT AND FOR WHAT. Also ok fine this may sound stupid to be upset over, but why the fuck is Bakugo rank 15. Like we do just be writing whatever I guess

my atla au fanfic pet peeve is people making katara angry or reluctant at zuko joining the group. katara was the FIRST one to trust and forgive zuko. he spent >5min telling her he had a tragic backstory and she was ready to use up her one and only vial of superultramagical healing on a cosmetic problem because it would make him happy.

katara is thee Most forgiving, trusting, and generous of the lot. thats Why she could be betrayed at all. Because she trusted so easily! the fact she holds a grudge at a betrayal that got her best friend killed severely injured does not mean she is anything less than the most trusting and willing to take a chance on others of the group!

if in an alternate universe zuko wound up joining the group earlier or the betrayal never happened she would be the first to accept him, she would welcome him with open arms and fight on his behalf with the groups true skeptic ie sokka

The question slips out of Tendou's mouth before he can really think about it. They were both hanging out in their shared dorm, Tendou lazily hanging upside down on his bed as he watched Ushijima work. They'd been like this for a while, chatting easily.

Well. Tendou had been talking about whatever popped into his head and Ushijima hadn't told him to be quiet yet.

So, whoops. The question had sprung from his mind to his lips before he had even considered it himself. With the characteristic silence in the room as Ushijima thought about an answer, Tendou thought about his.

He wasn't concerned about how random the question was; he knew Ushijima would take it in stride and answer as honestly as he would bluntly. What Tendou was afraid of, though, was that Ushijima wouldn't consider them best friends. Tendou knew he himself had often joked about it in passing to others, the idea comical that someone as golden as Ushijima would be not only friends but best friends with someone as weird and off-putting as him.

And then they shared their first real conversation. After a series of stilted ones in their first year (mostly pushed by Tendou), they had stumbled on a ground of mutual understanding, peeling back layers of past sad stories and future hopes.

"I think I'm going to France after volleyball. Gonna try my hand at something new," Tendou confessed in the safety of their dorm room, lying next to Ushijima on the floor and squinting at the peeling paint on the ceiling.

"'After volleyball?" Ushijima parroted back to him, confusion crossing his usually passive face as if Tendou had said something incomprehensible.

Tendou just smiled, watching him. In that moment, he knew it was true. For Ushijima, there was no 'after volleyball'.

But it was that gradual understanding of each other that allowed them to easily slot together, the joke of friendship becoming less funny to Tendou as it because true. He was fiercely protective of that title now as Ushijima's best friend; something he held close to his heart. It was in that stretch of silence that Tendou realised, for the first time, that Ushijima might still find the idea amusing.

Tendou sits up on his bed, head swimming. He sniffs, turning to face Ushijima as he presses his back to the wall, legs crossed in front of him. Ushijima, meanwhile, has not stopped writing, his pen scratching against the paper softly. Tendou fiddles with the drawstring of his hoodie as he listens and watches Ushijima's back, growing nervous.

"No I don't think so."

The scratching is endless. He says it as easily as he had replied to anything else Tendou had said so far, no indication of anything amiss in his voice, completely unaware that Tendou's heart had dropped into his stomach.

He swallows thickly, gripping his drawstring and trying to hold on. He feigns his usual chirpiness as he replies, "Eh? Why not?"

He doesn't want to know the answer. Suddenly, he wishes that Ushijima would lie to him for once. Regardless, he keeps his stinging eyes focused on Ushijima who, as always, was considering his most truthful answer. Even if it was slowly destroying Tendou inside.

Ushijima turns around in his seat, tilting his head quizzically at Tendou. Tendou startles for a second under his sudden stare, realising he must've been less good at masking the hurt in his voice than he thought. He can guess that Ushijima heard the difference in his voice but doesn't understand why.

Trying to reassure him, Tebdou gives a small smile, encouraging him to continue.

Ushijima stares at him for a moment longer before he says, "I do not believe in multiple universes. They do not exist."

Tendou blinks. He... what? "What?"

"They do not exist," Ushijima repeats himself, as if Tendou hadn't heard him. "I think we are only best friends in this universe."

Tendou can't think. He's dazed, not knowing how to react or if he's registering this properly, but Ushijima doesn't let him breathe relief for a second, adding on:

"Besides, this is the only universe that matters. You are my best friend here and now. I do not know these other universes."

There's a brief moment of silence. Satisfied in his answer, Ushijima turns back to face his homework, not seeing the grin stretching across Tendou’s face as he stares at him, in bewilderment, in disbelief, and in utter adoration.

Ushijima clears his throat, the pen scratching resuming.

"What do you think? Are we best friends in every universe?"

Now, Tendou doesn't have to think about the answer. Not once.

"Absolutely."
