COOLEST FUCKING MERMAID CONCEPT IVE EVER SEEN IN MY GODDAMN LIFE#they have CULTURE because they ARE people and they have to live once transformed and they have to live with each other#but everyone who is a mermaid was once human and they are linked by this horrifying painful often deadly process#which strips them of their agency and takes from them everything they knew up to and including their own bodies#if they breathe through the fish gills do their lungs fill with water? do they drown as they are taken by the fish#the fish are not intelligent but the humans ARE. once they merge they both change irreversibly and the mermaid has no choice but to condemn#someone else to the same fate they fell to if they want to continue their species#AUCH. and it's right there in the space between biologically feasible and sci fi 'no fucking way' that scratches my brain#like yeah dude. show me mermaid parasitism on a huge scale. show me massive symbiosis in which the two fuse together to form one individual#im thinkin this one is maybe a few weeks after the chomp. the scars are fresh but the fish has started the fusing#it doesn't need the eye anymore and so it's started to reabsorb. the mouth is fusing to the human body#the human legs are mostly dissolved but i imagine the bones are still intact which is why u can kind of see the knee through the eel#and it bends more drastically at the hip because the pelvis hasn't been digested yet. the fish's teeth have dissolved#the fins are still backwards in regards to how large a dorsal vs ventral fin should be because the fish is backward on the human part#it's so fucking cool dude. i love fucked up mermaids#i dont even care about my mermaids cause i aint never doing anything as cool as these bitches. what the fuck. mermaid parasitism. fuck yes#im late for the prompt once more but who care. im doing my thang. peacesign peacesign peacesign

Special mention to the last two films here, which I have only watched a few of times (the last I've watched exactly twice and I'm not sure I can watch again) but are just utterly beautiful films. Devastating and very painful, the last especially so, but still beautifully done. Yes I know this isn't 10 I can't narrow anything down, especially when it comes to animated films. Had to exclude any animated Disney or I'd never be finished here. I'm already regretting some of the films I'm only now just remembering but this is a bit of a wider spread of my likes. Spent half an hour thinking of a single film and then I get to 10 and suddenly I remember ALL OF THEM! im a die-hard Athos/Aramis truther 🙏 i also adore the whole thing Aramis and Madame de Chevreuse have going on, especially their fucked up little divorce in the last book, it's insane and i'm obsessed with it. I do also think Aramis and d'Artagnan are long overdue for some quality hatesex sesh! and none of these are mutually exclusive, the opposite actually. basically i live for and breathe the entire d'Artagnan/Athos/Aramis/Marie drama. it's everything to me <333

The code comes together lovely and it's all great! And then I come up to the next thing#Something I haven't done before - something that there's no Direct how-to of how to do a thing#Like setting player-and-character pronouns! I didn't know how to do that! But I figured it out!! :0 What a rush haha#It really did take me an evening of knocking my head against the wall in attempts - I waaaayyy overcomplicated it to start haha#I was like - trying to set up a system that would call on specific pronoun sets individually based on player input#Ridiculous - so much easier to just slap some values into an envelope and have those tied to a specific shell lol#But that took all night! I got sleepy while working on it and even my drowsy brain was like Wait...what am I supposed to check against? Haha#Such a weird experience subconsciously as well :0 'Cause I had normal dreams that night#Maybe some slight code-adjacent dreams of A Screen With Text On It but that could be anything :P#Most of it was just normal dream melodrama - but in the few times I woke up to readjust or roll over or pull my blanket#It was juuuuust enough for my ''conscious'' brain to kick in and think about what to compare against - what structure would work#And so by the time I woke up proper I had to frantically write down a bunch of code in a spare word document so I wouldn't go stir crazy lol#Breakfast must wait! The value Was changing! But only the first fork was being called???#No lol I just didn't put the second = ugh pft - and what's more frustrating is that I'd been using == up to that point!! Needing a Sua perspective from the ALNST auditions to Round 1. I never put much thought into what happens to the cast post-Anakt Garden graduation (do they immediately go to the auditions? Is there a period of time where they dont see each other until they recognize each other at the audition? Theres a considerable amount of time between the auditions and their Alien Stage season, did they see each other often between then or...? etc.), but regardless, imagine being her and having to choose between sabotaging your own audition so you dont have to go the the Sing, Win, or Die Show or putting your in your all in hopes of winning and spending just a bit more time with this girl you love because you know itll likely be the last time you see her. Imagine...

Taller tales than ever before." And posts them both to the Spotify she knows you can see? What does it mean? Hello what does this mean??!? I need someone to please present the correct answer because I don't know what to think or feel but I can't stop looking at the playlists and crying, and I'm at work so that's not great, so I just need an answer please.

I just rewatched The Winter Soldier for the nth time and it's just such an amazing movie. The perfection of the weapons designed to 'stop threats before they can happen' shooting themselves down because they, and the philosophy they symbolize, are the real threat, and that Captain America, who uses a shield instead of a weapon, leads the charge against them. It messes me up every time.
