Eddard Stark - ASOIAF
You wear your honor like a suit of armor... You think it keeps you safe, but all it does is weigh you down and make it hard for you to move.

jorah’s idea to leave while his liege lord was en route to his house for a month with intent to behead him qualifies as a machiavellian move in northern honour culture. ned didnt know someone could do that

[JOEL VOICE] WHOSE BEEN DRAWING DICKS?
I wouldn't want that thing withing a mile of me personally. Anyway, sinday daemon's exorcised, enjoy looking upon this wretched thing.
This conjures a lot of questions like how does he jerk off? Does it hurt coming out the sheath? How tough are those barbs, exactly? Oh and here's a cringeworthy fact: The flare functions like a knot-- the uh..."leaves" get more turgid the more excited the Reaper is and instead of forming a plug, it's far more unpleasant. Even Khorne's isn't that bad lmao

Sharpe + Text Post (Part 23) NOTE: The Wellington one was, in fact, inspired by real events. During the Napoleonic wars, the Duke of Wellington stationed his troops in the Bucelas region, north of Lisbon. There, he drank a white wine made with Arinto, an indigenous varietal. He enjoyed it so much that, after the war, he imported large quantities back to England.
