I got my hair cut the other day and of course I had to draw the dca boys running a hair salon:

Sun would be so effortlessly charming. Always chatting away with customers, explaining each product he uses and how to best maintain and style their hair.

Moon I can see being popular with the less chattier customers (like me) but over time they begin to open up. I imagine he hums while working. Otherwise, he's all ears for the newest gossip.

(The clipped up hat idea came from @bamsara's solar lunacy doodles!)

Also I love the popular headcanon that the dca can speak other languages, so I can imagine them being a hit with the aunties.

Other thoughts about this... AU? Can I call it an AU? Feels kinda small for an AU, but whatever:

Eclipse works there too! Haven't decided if it would be canon or fanon Eclipse, though I really like the image of 4-armed Eclipse working on 2 clients at once (plus, the nickname Clip is perfect for this scenario)

of course they're great with kids! They'd be able to console kids that get scared of getting their hair cut. Sun would do a little trick and tell them how good and brave they are all the way through. Moon would console them and hum a soothing song (or hey maybe they notice the kid's wearing a disney shirt and starts humming some showtunes). Every kid gets a candydrop and a balloon on their way out.

y/n works at the hair salon as a part-timer and does tasks around the salon like sweeping, arranging bookings, washing hair, etc. They don't really care too much about their own hair, but the boys are always offering to style it, dye it, braid it. With y/n's permission, the boys always toy with their hair—patting it, combing their hands through it, brushing it over y/n's ear, ruffling it.

this is gonna sound so funny from The Pig and Duck Person BUT i just want to again thank you all and tell you how much the support has meant for my shilling of this film/countless pig and duck posting, i get very stuck inside my head and feel like i have to tamp down on my posting and "if i post too much about the pig and duck something catastrophic will happen" (hyperbole. but i live by a very neurotic set of self appointed rules, even for as freeform and enthusiastic as i am) and my neuroses about these characters is. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more deep than i let on on here. some of you know this. wink wink nudge nudge. BUT ANYWAY, i was very worried i would be seen as obnoxious and like a corporate shill or just someone tirelessly posting about the same exact thing SO YOUR SUPPORT MEANS A LOT!! it's a good reminder that i need to CHILLLL OUT. Tumblr is sort of my more relaxed online space to begin with, but i never realized how much i was still sort of repressing/masking/"I Am Normal"-ing myself until letting myself be adamant about the pig and duck since the situation calls for it. SO THANK YOU. thank you for not biting my head off 🙏 i've been very very very excited and happy to hear about everyone supporting this film and sparking a chain reaction (and i will catch up on DMs and replies!! i swear! i've kind of been in a pig and duck PR whirlwind the past few days.. moreso than usual) so just THANK YOU AGAIN. maybe this is silly to make a post about since everyone knows i'm the pig and duck person but my brain can be a treacherous sneak (read this in Daffy's voice. i don't think he's ever said it but it just popped into my head in his voice and i am obligated to put it here) so i'm genuinely very grateful

What's your opinion on Barriss and her story in Tales of the empire?

I liked it!! it was still a bit messy and needed more time or focus to work better, but it was LEAGUES better than morgan's episodes. my 2 pet peeves were "why was 4th sister 4th when she was clearly there before trilla (2nd) and reva (3rd)" (@just-prime pointed out they seem to have run out of inquisitor names LOL) and barriss' designs (partly cause head covering where???) or at least her inquisitor and episode 6 designs. both were so mid but i did a little sketchbook redesign of her inquisitor fit i watched it to heal myself

#basically my thoughts were this needs to feel more like a barriss outfit and it needs to be more distinct #bc her current one feels like Random Lackey Design compared to the incredible and unique quiz designs we've had before #(SHE IS STANDNG NEXT TO BIRDSKULL GUY LOOKIN THAT MID ??)#thoughts were keep the general outfit mostly the same but add in a hood and make the helmet FIT MORE WITH THE OTHER INQUISITORS #BC HER ONE LOOKED LIKE A BIONICLE #also i think this design works better narratively bc the hood suggests she's still a jedi (foreshadowing!)#but the sharper/ more cohesive helmet shows how shes still conforming w the other inquisitors #(which adds to the impact when she takes it off)#i think its wack how un-barriss the design was bc its not even like she was tortured into inquisiting (see: trilla) she just got gaslit #having her keep some of her prev elements would help the story AND her design #barriss offee #tales of the empire spoilers #outfit design #thanks for the ask!#sketchbook

#linktober #linktober 2024 #the legend of zelda #wind waker #ocarina of time #loz #loz ww #loz oot #link #josh art tag #had a lot of fun with this one despite how annoying it was to draw #oot link was at a difficult angle and i also just could not shade this for the life of me. restarted the shading like 3 times #i think im reaching that point in the cycle i typically go thru with my artstylr where ive grown tired of my shading style #to the point that i forget how to do it and it never quite looks right #so if my next post features changes to my artstyle thats why lol #but i enjoyed making this despite that cuz i like the ideas behind it!#i normally wouldve redesigned ww!link's outfit but i purposefully drew it accurately #to highlight how its more like a costume. cuz thats kinda what it was! and its modeled after the hero of times clothes #but is pretty innacurate. which i think is cool.. shows how much time has passed and how the view of the hero of time has warped #so i also purposefully made oot link wearing my redesigned outfit for him (even if you cant see much of it at this angle)#to further emphasize how ww!link's outfit is not only essentially a costume but is also quite innacurate #i like having ww!link ditch the costume for something else to show how he stops being some kid in oot!link's shadow #and grows into a true hero of his own #hence my ww!link redesign where i put him back in the lobster shirt. but i do keep some green and something similar to the hat #to have him fit in with the other links while still being unique #look i have a lot of feelings about ww!link and oot!link #i wish zelda would do more stuff like this... i think having oot relate to wind waker makes the story more interesting #and makes ww!link more interesting! cuz he cant be the hero of time they want. but he does become the real hero they need #the oot ww tp trio is so good... and they all work great as standalone games but their connections do really add something

After Neo Agent 3 defeated Octavio in the crater, he had completely disappeared.

In all honesty the Agent had forgotten about the DJ. He never showed up at any of the Alternan islands. Honestly it was impressive how such a big octopus could vanish without a trace. When Octavio had appeared again in the fight against the bear, the Agent didn't get a chance to glance at him. It was only when they landed back on Earth did they notice the fuzz that was smeared across half of his body. Before they could say anything, the DJ shooed them away as he scuttled to one of the storage crates that scattered the landscape. What a weird guy. When Neo 3 returned to the NEW New Squidbeak Splatoon base, they instantly got bodied with questions from Agent 1 as she shook them back and fourth by the shoulders. With a Dizziness growing in their head, they pointed towards the crate. A large thud emanated from the rectangular vessel when they did, what comical timing. DJ Octavio was in there, and something had happened.

When Callie opened the crate doors, she wouldn't have recognized the Octoling that was sprawled across the ground if she didn't recognize Royal Octarian Emblem that was clearly pinned to the old man's clothes.

Erm.... what the scallop.....

I'll probably make a proper reference sheet for him soonish since there's a lot about him that are not pictured here, but this was sitting in my files begging to be posted so! Here yall go!

This whole thing is inspired by Octavio getting completely BODIED by fuzzy ooze when the crater caves in. Unfortunately i do NOT think he would be able to walk that off scott free

That old man got CAKED in the stuff, so I figured this could be something cool to explore. Yes I have a reason why he is no longer perma-swim form, yes I have a reason for his different eyeball, and yes I have a reason for only one of his hands being stained Wasabi green. I'll get around to explaining things--most likely in that aforementioned reference sheet post.
