I went to "Doctor Who: The Stuff of Legend" live show (twice!), and at one point, Charley impersonates a Dalek.

It was extremely funny to watch India Fisher and Nicholas Briggs giving each other death-glares two inches apart while speaking into the same Dalek-voice microphone. I desperately wanted to try to recreate their expressions, and Charley still doesn't look intense enough. I hope we get some video of it.

A few years ago I was binging Big Finish audioplays and just fell in love with Eight and Charlie era, really wanted to draw something with them back then, and so I did.

Eight days! Here’s Charley Pollard and the Eighth Doctor. One of my fave Doctors and one of the more obscure. He’s the bridge between the Classic series and the Revival. He got a pilot in the 90s in collaboration with Fox in America and a slew of audio plays w Big Finish that continues to this day. He also got a minisode for the 50th, “The Night of the Doctor” which is on YouTube. I just love Paul McGann as the Doctor. He’s dashing, funny and full of cosmic angst. I can’t recommend his audio plays enough, they are what sealed him as one of the greats for me. And India Fisher as Charley is just lovely, she compliments him so well and brings out the best in the Doctor.

There’s something terribly rewarding and satisfying being in a room of a thousand Doctor Who and Big Finish fans all packed in a small old London theatre collectively losing our minds and applauding at watching Alex Macqueen mining taking a latex mask off his face, before he even utters the iconic “I Am The Master’
