X-Men rewatch part 7
This round: Logan.
Well that was horribly violent and depressing.
I don't think I enjoyed almost anything in that.
I mean the whole end of mutants and how do you deal with end of life care for the world's most powerful telepath concepts were kinda fascinating, but didn’t really go anywhere.
The idea that medication in food and drink stopped mutations is an idea I would have liked to play around more with. What must it have felt like when the news broke to the world? What did Charles feel? He's spent all of his life trying to look after mutants. And it was kinda sweet to see he was still trying to do that. That was one small blessing - that the fundamental traits of Charles remained with him to the end, even if clouded by dementia.
Interesting concepts, but they weren't the focus of the movie. But I didn't find Logan's journey particularly engaging. It seemed meandering and pointless. I found myself checking how much longer the film had to go to see if we were likely to come to a turning point or climax, but it didn't really. It was one long miserable road trip.
I can't imagine how disappointing this must have been to see in theatres for anyone expecting an X-Men movie.
I won't be watching that again.

BUSINESS AS USUAL (PART ONE)
Pairing: Thomas Shelby x Wife!Reader
Warning: Smut, Cheating,
Words: 1,000 (as will be most parts in this series)
Tumblr media
You watched through the crack of the door which, clearly, she had left open on purpose as this was nothing but a game to her. She wanted you to see her, making love to your husband this way and you were curious to see whether it was true.
Was he really sleeping with her? A woman lacking both class and morals. A woman so vile that your stomach turned from the inside out.
You were disgusted and, remembering his lips on yours made you want to vomit.
“Gosh, Tommy. Seriously? Her? Why” was what you wondered as you stood there, silently, watching as he leaned forward and then, slowly, their lips met, gently, softly at first and then with more passion.
Tommy’s left hand moved up to fondle her breasts and she moaned softly into his mouth.
Eventually though, they parted and Laura looked into his eyes.
“I need you to fuck me, right here” she told him as his hand moved up from her breasts and started to unbutton her shirt.
“This is my wife’s office Love” Tommy told her reluctantly as she put her hand on his.
“Yes, I know. It turns me on. She has nice taste for interior design and I want you to fuck me on her immaculate cedar desk” she said. Her voice was forceful and she walked imperiously to your desk and, provokably, sat on the edge of it.
Your heart immediately sank, thinking that, surely, he would not be fucking her inside your very own office. This was your private space and you felt as though they had no right to utilise it in such a derogatory manner.
But, clearly you were wrong as, within seconds, you watched as your husband placed his hands on her thighs.
“As you wish Love” he told her and she slowly moved her hands up and began unbuttoning her shirt. The material drifted apart revealing her lacy bra and you gasped as your husband watched her in complete rapture. She stood up and undid her skirt which slipped to the floor. Then, she sat on the edge of the desk again and grabbed hold of Tommy’s tie before pulling him up.
"We don't have long” she said before pulling him closer and they kissed while her hands started to work at your husband’s belt and then, before too long, she was caressing his erection through his briefs.
Within seconds, he tore himself away from her kiss and pulled his underwear down all the while she lifted herself off the desk and slipped her panties down and off.
It was revolting and you knew what was going to happen next, right there, on your desk.
“Spread your legs for me Love. Nice and wide” Tommy told her before kissing her again and then you could see his cock, pressing into her crotch and you heard her sigh gently.
He then kissed her again and she leaned back and opened her legs wider. Her hand then grasped your husband’s cock and guided it towards her opening. He pushed forward and slipped inside her and, by this point, you felt ill, well and truly.
You then heard Tommy groan loudly while small whimpers escaped Laura’s lips and her eyes started to close. The sound of their fucking combined with the soft gasps and whimpers were making you feel all sorts of things. There was hate, regret, disgust and even jealousy. It was revolting and, yet, you couldn’t look away, watching your husband make love to another woman.
Eventually, Laura’s breathing became faster and her eyes opened wide. You knew she was close and, apparently, so did your husband as you watched thrust a bit faster now.
You were listening to the moans, groans and the squelching noises which, clearly, were a testament to her arousal.
“Oh god, Tommy, I am so close” she moaned as, clearly, her pussy clamped down onto his cock and as her orgasm washed through her and, just as she came, so did he.
He flooded her pussy with his seed and this was when you had enough. You could not take it anymore and looked away before, eventually, tippy toeing to your chambers.
You were crying some silent tears, feeling failure and regret over marrying this man and, whilst you knew that your husband had been visiting the whore house every week, this was so much worse. Laura Garett, out of all fucking people.
You hated her. She was vile and, yet, your very own husband was sleeping with her and you certainly did not know why. Was it boredom? Did he love her? Why did he sleep with her?
In the end, you tried to drown your sorrows with some whiskey that night and then went to bed only to be woken up again, during the night, by your crying step-son, Charlie.
He was missing his mother again and, just as the night before, you took him into your own bed and read him a story. He was still young and needed someone in his life. Someone other than his father who, clearly, had no idea about his son’s very own fears and nightmares.
But you, you did. You had lived at Arrow House for three months and had become accustomed to your role there. Charlie liked you and, luckily for him, you liked him too.
And yet, none of this was enough for you. You wanted, no you needed, to be loved but love was not a feeling your husband was capable of so you knew that, perhaps, you had to find it somewhere else.
To be continued…
Please comment and engage. I love getting comments and predictions pretty please!

0.2 | I’ll be here for you
Summary: the one where you and Bradley cross the boundary of being friends.
Warnings: teen pregnancy, Bradley’s mom is still alive currently
Paring: teen Bradley x teen Mitchel!reader
Full masterlist.
Tumblr media
Trying to wrap your head around that you were pregnant was harder than you thought. You honestly felt like you had trapped Bradley from pursuing his dreams of being in the navy and going to the Air Force.
But he assured you that you had done nothing wrong and that you would figure it out together.
The hard part was telling your dad and his mom, but mainly just your dad.
Bradley and you were currently at his house for lunch, his mom was making chicken salad and mixed it in the bowl as you munched on some grapes.
“Hey Brad,” she called over her shoulder to the teen who was sitting in front of you.
“Yes ma’am?” Bradley looked up.
“You mind grabbing some plates?”
Bradley got up and went straight to the cabinet where the plates were kept, “Got it.”
He set them down at the table as she brought the bowl of chicken and some bread.
As soon as the smell hit your nose you gagged, you tried to hide it under your hand as she fixed her sandwich and asked Bradley about his chemistry class as he gave you worried glances.
He watched you swallow as you tried to hold yourself together, you gagged once again when you smelt it again and jolted up from your seat to run to the hallway bathroom.
You crouched down and emptied your stomach when Bradley came running in and grabbed your hair from your face.
“Are you ok?” He asked as he tried to move the hair and get you situated.
“Don’t look at me!” You waved his face away from yours as you gagged once more.
He backed off and grimaced, he held your hair as you finished up and groaned.
“What’s going on?” Carol ran into the bathroom as she heard the commotion.
“Everything’s okay.” Bradley reassured her, Carol looked very concerned as she crouched next to you.
“Do you need some medicine, baby?”
You shook your head, you knew what this was, it wasn’t the chicken salads fault, “No thank you, I’m fine now.” You got up and Bradley jumped in to steady you in case you fell over.
He had his hands on your arms as you walked out of the bathroom and he set you on the couch, “You want some water?”
“Please.” You nodded, the taste in your mouth was horrible, you needed something to wash it down.
He nodded and ran to the kitchen to grab a water bottle and brought it back to you. He opened it and handed it to you and looked to see if his mom was around, “Is it because of the…” he looked to your belly.
“Probably.” You groaned, you still didn’t believe you were pregnant, but the three tests you took after the first one said otherwise.
He took the bottle from you and placed it on the coffee table before tucking your hair behind your ear.
You looked into his eyes and wondered how he still cared for you when you were his best friend who was pregnant with his baby. How he seemed so unfazed and didn’t seem like he was scared, but you knew you definitely were.
“What do we do?” You whispered as tears filled your eyes.
Bradley sighed and shook his head, “I’ll have to sell my liver to afford diapers.” You could see the smirk on his face that tried to crawl its way onto his lips.
You smacked his arm and widened your eyes, “Stop it!”
He laughed and his shoulders shook as he rubbed your leg softly, “I’m kidding,” then his face went back to serious, “I don’t know, we just take it smooth until this baby comes.”
You nodded and wiped the tears from under your eyes, “I’m just, so sorry that I trapped you like this.”
“You didn’t trap me, it’s just an unexpected surprise.” He shrugged and tried to comfort you.
“But we aren’t anything Bradley, we’re childhood best friends who had sex and got pregnant.”
He nodded, “I know, I know. But hey,” he made you look into his eyes, “I’m not going anywhere. I’m not running off, we’ll figure this out. Together.”
You smiled and pulled him in for a hug, he wrapped his arms around you and rubbed your back.
Carol walked in and smiled as she watched you pull away from Bradley, she walked into the kitchen and grabbed a nausea pill and brought it to you.
“Here you go, you’ll feel better after you take this.”
You thanked her and took it as Bradley watched you carefully for any sign that you were going to get sick again.
When he realized you weren’t, he offered to drive you home.
“Please.” You mumbled as he grabbed his keys and stood up. You hugged and thanked Mrs. Carol before apologizing for the mess.
“You didn’t leave a mess, sweetheart, I just want you to feel better.” She rubbed your arm and pulled you in for one of her signature mom hugs.
“Thank you.” You smiled.
“Call me if you need anything!” She called out the door as you buckled up in Bradley’s truck.
He honked as he backed out and turned onto the road.
The ride was silent for a minute until you decided to break it, “Thank you for helping me.”
He glanced at you and turned back to the road, “That’s what I’m here for.” He saw the scared look on your face and smiled to make you smile.
It worked, Bradley’s smile always made you smile.
“The only problem is telling our parents.” He rubbed his face as he turned onto your street.
“Yeah, if my dad even listens.” You muttered.
He gave you an apologetic look, “I think he will this time.”
-
Bradley walked you inside and set your stuff down and hurried behind you as you made a beeline for the bathroom once more.
He sat down beside you and held your hair as you puked your guts out. He rubbed your back when you groaned and found a hair tie on the bathroom floor. He picked it up and, somehow managed to, tie your hair up.
Bradley grabbed a rag and wet it with cold water before putting it on your forehead and rubbing your back.
You spit into the toilet and flushed it as Bradley put the cold rag on your neck, “How are you feeling.”
You looked at him with a raised brow and he apologized, “I feel fine, just nauseous.”
He nodded, “That’ll probably happen for a couple more weeks.”
You nodded and stared at him for a moment, it was now settling in.
You really were pregnant.

Tumblr media
Pairing: MmaFighter!Fushiguro Toji x black f!reader
Genre: Romance, Smut, Angst
Summary: What happens when you help MMA fighter Fushiguro Toji —unbeknownst to him—in his time of need?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji thought himself a simple man. A simple man who had never fallen in love. Although he would never audibly admit that.
Yes, there was a period in his life when he was married but he never truly felt there. He was young, and a star on the rise. Temptation was all around him yet he stayed faithful and committed to his vows. For five years he was betrothed. Tied down, trapped. For five years his marriage was perilous.
The cause of the divorce was an affair accusation. She thought he was sleeping with a journalist. A journalist? He laughed when she vocalized her concerns. She was incandescent. “You really think that I would sleep with a journalist?” That one sentence matured into a fight neither of them came back from.
He left that night and returned the next morning with divorce papers. He allowed her to keep the house while he now resides in a penthouse that overlooks the city. Every once in a while, a feeling of penitence washes over him and leaves him wondering whether or not he should’ve just stayed. “Toji! Hurry up, we have to get going, the fight is about to start.” He finished wrapping his fists. He grabbed his silk robe off its hook and slipped it on. The coolness of it lasted a few seconds longer than usual before latching on to his body heat. As he walked out and the routine cheering of his fans filled his senses, an unfamiliar face in the crowd caught his eye.
You work hard. You’re currently in medical school earning your M.D. so you can cross the finish line with the label and job title ‘Neurosurgeon’. “(Y/N) Come onn why not?!” Your friend Stacey from your class based solely on muscles was trying to get you to come to watch a fight. “We are in Medical School Stace, why do you want to see people hurting themselves deliberately?!” “It’s not even about that for real.” She said tucking her brown hair behind her ear. Her green eyes flashing with a fierce incentive. “Then what is it about?” “Have you seen Toji Fushiguro!?” “No. And I don’t want to see him.” She pulled out her phone “Let me just show you.” You rolled your eyes and sighed heavily knowing you wouldn’t be able to win this fight. She pulled up a picture and tilted the phone toward you. “Wow.” He is.. “I know right!! So let’s goo I literally bought two tickets and they weren’t cheap.” “Fine.” She had finally persuaded you into getting ready.
You readied yourself and are now sitting in the front row of the Fushiguro Toji vs Alexei Morozov fight waiting for the star fighter to come out. A coalescence of music and loud screaming invaded your ears making you turn your head towards the back. He was much larger than you imagined. Standing at, at least 6’5 this burly man managed to win the hearts of more than a few thirst quenched women. His sinewy muscles stuck out like a sore thumb. And his very presence left a bitter sweet taste in your mouth.
Someone slapped your shoulder dragging you out of your daydream “He’s looking over here oh my god!?” His gaze robbed you of an essential part of human homeostasis—your breath.
You ripped your eyes away from his and looked to the floor. When he walked on stage and his back was to you, you looked up again. You watched as the ‘Fushiguro’ on his silk robe morphed as he slipped it off. When the fight started you winced at the first punch. Tricep, Bicep, Latissimus dorsi, gluteus medius. You named the muscles being hit as practice due to yet another test the next day. Suddenly, Fushiguro was hit in the head and started bleeding.. a lot. You stood out of habit to get a closer look. The ‘medic’ that was attempting to stop the bleeding was failing miserably at her job. You pushed past the journalists and photographers.
“You need to apply pressure!” You yelled trying to get as close as possible. “Ma’am I’m gonna need you to back up.” Some guy with long hair said. “I know I know but your medic is not helping him. She needs to apply pressure to stop the bleeding and he needs to be stitched immediately.” The man looked back at the ‘medic’ staring at the fighter with goo-goo eyes. He pursed his lips and lifted the tape. You walked through and made your way to the mat. You tapped on the woman’s shoulder “Excuse me” she moved out of the way instinctively. “Hello Mr. Fushiguro.” You said while sliding your hands through a pair of latex gloves.
He looked at you confused. “You don’t know me but I’m here to help you.” You took some gauze from the pile of medical supplies and applied pressure to the cut above his eyebrow. You were wearing a black skirt with a white button-down top that slightly exposed your cleavage. His gaze could be felt even under the angry burn of the lights. You frantically searched the pile for an alcohol wipe. Once you found one you held it up to him “Rip.” He did as you asked “This is going to sting.” He pulled air through his teeth as you cleaned it. “Is there thread over there?” You asked the former ‘medic’ who just stood there in awe “Hello?” “O-oh me?” “Who else would I be talking to?” You said. Words coming out laced with venom “I-uh no there’s not.” “Of course not..” you glanced down. Next best thing you thought as you picked up some glue.
You applied it to the wound and squeezed. You grabbed some tape that specialized in holding wounds together and placed it on the cut. “Rag,” you said to the girl. She quickly handed you a rag and you wiped the sweat, dirt, and blood off the fighter's face. You paused for a moment as you looked into his eyes. The one thing you’d been avoiding all night. Brown pools of the sweetest honey. You snapped out of it though when you felt his large hands on your waist. He gently moved you out of the way to get up. You felt heat crawl up your neck, feeling grateful that your brown skin hid the blush appearing. This was when you noticed all the blood that stained your shirt.
You left the ring entering back into reality as you searched for your brunette friend. As you were removing your gloves you heard a familiar voice. “Oh my god!- Will you leave me the fuck alone! She’s my friend and I’m a doctor!” The man with raven hair lifted the tape reluctantly and Stacey ran over to you “Oh my god! How was it?! What was he like!?” She said frantically trying to look behind you to get a glimpse of the fight from up close. “We didn’t really talk..” “But I saw you talking?” “I was talking to the ‘Medic’” you said making air quotes. “Oh..”
You walked over to a man with white hair wearing a shirt labeled ‘Manager’ leaving your overly excited friend on her own. “Excuse me? Do you happen to have a shirt I could borrow?” “Hmm..” he hummed as he tapped his index finger on his lip “I do have an extra one but…” “But?” “It’s his” Oh “It should be fine. He doesn’t ever wear it.” He turned around revealing the ‘Fushiguro’ on his back. He walked to his bag and came back with a shirt. “Here.” “Thank you.” “Please hurry, it looks like we’ll be needing you again soon.” You glanced back at the fight just as Fushiguro took a hit.
You took the shirt and went to the nearest bathroom. You changed out of your button-down blouse and into the one Fushiguro’s manager had gifted you. It was huge. It stopped just before your skirt ended and it was three times the width you were. You placed your shirt in your bag and then went back to the ring.
You stepped in as they were hydrating him. “Hello again Mr. Fushiguro,” He nodded, his eye starting to swell. After slipping into another pair of gloves, you grabbed an ice pack and slapped it in your hand to get it to activate. “Hold this here.” You said to the girl. She obliged and you began to tend to his bleeding shoulder. You grabbed the bottle of alcohol and a cotton round. “You might need to hold on to something for this one.” Just then, you felt his hands on your hips. A chill ran down your spine causing you to pause. They were so warm.
You let out a tremulous breath and resumed to tend to his wound. He tightened his grip when you applied the round. “Sorry.” You apologized. He just stared at you. “What’s your name?” He spoke finally. “(Y/N)” “(Y/N)..” he repeated back, almost dazed “That’s me.” You finished cleaning his wound and could now move on to patching it. Once you were done you moved out of the way—well, at least you tried but he kept you there, in place. “Mr. Fushiguro- I- the round is starting in 10 seconds.” You said, your tone incredulous “Find me after the fight.” “What?” “Gotta go.” He moved you out of the way and stood up.
You left the ring confused once again. You took the gloves off and decided to watch the rest from where you were standing. Fushiguro ended up winning causing an uproar in the arena. Stacey on the other hand hit it off with some journalist. “Are you sure you don’t need a ride?” “Positive.” “Okay! See you tomorrow.” She walked away giddy. You tapped on a blonde man wearing a Fushiguro shirt. “Um- Excuse me?” He turned around “I was told to find Mr. Fushiguro after the fight?” He cocked his eyebrow while his eyes scanned your body. “By who?” “Mr. Fushiguro…” Just then the man with the white hair came out “Kento what the fuck? Why isn’t she halfway to Toji already?” The man shrugged. “C’mon,” the manager led you through the tunnels to where you assumed the fighter would be. “He’s right in there.” He said pointing at a room labeled ‘Fushiguro Toji’ “W-wait you’re not coming in?” “Oh no, I don’t bother him after fights.”
You cautiously walked over to the door and gave a light knock. “Move.” You heard from behind the door. “Hi..” you said when he opened the door. His face was smug “Hi.” He smirked. Your eyes traveled down his figure. He was lacking a shirt, revealing his sinewy abdomen. “Everybody out.” “But sir- we haven’t finished your trea-“ “She’ll handle it.” He opened the door wide enough for the nurses to leave while he leaned against the frame. They all gave you dirty looks as they made their way out. “You just gonna stand there?” He said walking back to his seat. You walked in and closed the door behind you. He cocked his eyebrow “So this is that kind of visit?” “W-what?! I-I didn’t know if y-you wanted privacy!” He laughed “I’m teasing.” You shook your head while he chuckled. A deep, sexy chuckle. One that made you tingle and throb in all the right places. “I knew that..” “Oh did you now?” “I did.” You said before walking over and grabbing the medical supplies.
Toji felt a chills where your fingers graced his back. “Y’know..most people are scared of me.” He said slightly looking back “You? No way” You said, sarcasm laced in your words as you applied ointment to a few of his wounds. “Your possy seemed to have no problems with you. I mean, they all looked pretty disappointed when they had to leave” “Tch yeah...no matter how many times I kick them out they never get used to it.” You laughed. Toji felt his heart flutter. You walked around to his front, moving his slightly sweaty hair out of the way to look at the scar you had patched earlier. “Everything looks good. Well, not good but you know.” Your eyes scanned his face, skillfully avoiding his eyes. “How’d you get that?” You pointed to the scar on his lip. “Accident.” You finally found his eyes. “..You are a vague man.” You felt your pockets. “Do you mind?” You asked, showing him your chapstick. “Only if you come back to my place.”
You froze and tried to read his expression but you couldn’t. You smiled “I don’t give it up that easily.” He grabbed your wrists and slightly pulled you forward. “You sure?” Yes “…no” he cracked a smile and you applied the chapstick. Dipping it slightly when you reach his scar. “Is that a yes?” “Only if you want it to be.” Your heart was beating so loud you were sure he could hear it. He stared at your lips and you sheepishly glanced at his.
He let your wrists go and your lips connected. You felt a burning heat erupt in the very pit of your stomach. You’ve kissed men before but never like this. You loosely wrapped your arms around his neck as you stood up straighter. You both pulled away at the same time. He swiped his tongue over his teeth before standing up. Your arms fell back at your side as he grabbed his shirt and slipped it over his head. He grabbed his bag and then your hand. It was so large in comparison that he completely encased it. “Mr. Fushiguro wher-“ “Toji.” “What?” “Call me Toji.” He said looking back at you. You were struggling to keep up with his long strides. “Toji.” “Yes?” “Where are we going?” “You’ll see.” You walked with him as he pulled you through the tunnels.
On your way there, more of his security started to surround you. When you finally made it out you entered an epileptic’s worst nightmare. You put your arm over your eyes to help shield them from the flashing lights. You felt Toji’s arm wrap around you as you pushed through the photographers.
You sighed when you finally reached the car. “Shit.” “It’s not over.” You watched as they migrated around the car. You finally pulled off and you were on your way. When you arrived, paparazzi swarmed the car once again. His security opened his door and he got out. He then helped you out of the car. As you walked, your hand slipped out of his and you began to drown in the sea of paparazzi. You fell and scraped one of your knees.
Toji stopped immediately after he no longer felt your hand in his. “Mr. Fushiguro! Mr. Fushiguro!” He pushed five reporters out of the way with one swing of his arm. Suddenly, you felt yourself being picked up, bridal style. “T-Toji I can walk.” “I’m not letting you get run over again.” He carried you into the lobby and to the elevator before setting you down. He opened the door to his penthouse when you got there and told you to sit on the couch “Yes sir.” You said throwing your hands up.
He disappeared into a room and when he reappeared he was holding a first aid kit. He set it on the couch as he knelt between your thighs. “Oh Toji you really don-“ he glanced up at you, causing your talking to cease. He cleaned it with an alcohol wipe and as he placed the bandaid on your knee, he looked up at you. “Thank you..”
He squeezed as his hand traveled further up your skirt. “Let me know if you want me to stop.” You nodded slowly. When he got to your panties he swiped his thumb across the wet spot. You shuddered and closed your eyes. “Aht aht. Look at me.” You opened them again to look into his. You felt him use his other hand to pull your panties to the side and open your legs wider. “What a pretty pussy…and so wet too.” He ran a finger through your folds and you tried to close your legs. He held them open and rubbed circles on your puffy clit. “Fuck..” you said, breathless.
He pulled at the hem of your lace panties before sliding them off. He placed them in his pocket before sliding his middle and ring fingers into his mouth. He went back to rubbing your clit as he slid a finger inside. A loud moan ripped through your throat. You placed a hand on his shoulder for stability. He slipped another finger in and curled them. You trembled. He stood up as he fingered you, placing a knee on the couch.
He began to kiss you, traveling down your neck with sloppy, wet kisses. Kisses that left you wanting more. Lewd squelching filled the room as his fingers fucked into you tirelessly. Suddenly, you felt your stomach tighten and your moaning became louder. You tried to speak but nothing came out. “Are you gonna cum? Hmm?” He hummed against your neck sending chills down your spine. He could tell by the way you were clamping down on him that your orgasm was near.
Chills ran down your entire body when he spoke to you. “You gonna cum on my fingers? Hm? Go ahead…make a mess for me.” “Tojii” you spoke finally. You let out a loud whine as you came around his fingers. “Good girl” he said as he helped you ride out your orgasm.
You watched through half lidded eyes as he slid his fingers out and placed them into his mouth. He sucked them clean and pulled them out with a ‘pop’. You felt yourself being picked up and carried. He laid you down on his bed, “I’m gonna go shower. Do not touch yourself until I get back.” You nodded “I need words.” “Yes daddy” You said, your voice feigning innocence. Toji felt his cock twitch. He walked away and to the bathroom. You writhed on the bed, more horny then you’ve ever been. About twenty minutes later Toji came out in just a towel.
You sat upright. You looked so small on his abnormally large bed. He walked over to you and you could feel the blush creeping up on you. The towel he wore didn’t cover much. He placed his fingers on your jaw and lifted your head to make sure you looked him in the eye. “There’s no turning back after I start.” He said with an expression that made you feral. You nodded. “Words.” “O-okay” he smiled. He leaned in and kissed you. It was deep and sexy. The way he grabbed your neck with his warm, calloused hand. The way he moved them across your body. Squishing the plush of your ass, stomach, and thighs as if he was memorizing every inch of you.
He started to kiss down your neck. You shuddered underneath him as you let him take full control. You felt his hands slide up your shirt as he kissed and licked around your collarbone. He unhooked your bra with ease and slid it off under your shirt. “Leave the shirt on.” He’s been wanting to fuck you in it since you first put it on. It was bunched up over your breasts. He sat back to admire you. “So pretty…” before you could be embarrassed, he ran his tongue over a nipple. You moaned as your hands found purchase in his short cut raven hair. He bit, pinched, and soothed with his tongue.
He guided you out of your skirt and licked his fingers. He slowly rubbed down your slit, smearing the cum from twenty minutes prior. Placing his hands on your knees, he pushed them towards your chest. He squeezed on your thighs before wrapping his arms around them and pulling you to the edge of the bed. He made his tongue flat and wide as he licked up your cunt. You shivered with a moan “fuckk”. You placed your hand in his hair and tried to push him away. Everything was so sensitive. Too sensitive. You felt him smirk against your pussy as he held you against him with more force. He was enjoying this as much—if not more than you were. He loved the way you smelled, the way you writhed under him with every touch, the way you sounded. Everything about you was sheer perfection in his eyes.
You whined as he hummed into you. Your legs shook as a thin layer of sweat started to coat your skin. “Toji..” “Hm?” He hummed. “I’m- ouu” you couldn’t get the words out. “What is it baby?” “I-I’m uh-gonna c-um” “mm cum on my tongue princess.” And almost as if on command, your orgasm washed over you.
Once again, he helped you ride it out. Lapping up your orgasm along the way. You panted as he backed away. Even through half-lidded eyes you could see the glistening of his chin from your juices. He wiped his mouth with his arm and then bent down to kiss you. The kiss was sloppy and allowed you to taste yourself. You moaned into it and that was his last straw. He pulled his towel off and threw it to the floor, allowing you to see a glimpse of exactly how big he was. You quivered when you felt him rub his tip through your folds. He kissed you again and you gasped when you felt him slowly sink into you.
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you felt him stretch you. He kissed them as you dug your nails into his shoulders, creating little crescent moon impressions. “I know, I know. You’re doing so good for me baby.” Butterflies erupted in your stomach as you slightly relaxed. “That’s it, just r-relax” his hot breath fanned against your ear. He pushed his lips into your swollen ones. Swollen from how much abuse they had adhered from both you and him. He swallowed your whine as he pushed all the way in. “Shit s-so tight.” his voice broke as he almost bottomed out. He sat there for a moment letting you adjust to his size. After a few moments he felt your grip on his shoulder loosen a bit. “P-please move T-toji” he obliged and moved slowly at first, giving the pain a chance to cease.
The moans you released were like music to his ears. The way you tried to talk but ended up just babbling something that ended with his name. “Faster.” You managed to get out. He obliged once again. The room was filled with lewd slapping and squelching noises. He buried his head into your neck allowing you to smell his..vanilla shampoo?
“(Y/N) fuck- your pussy’s s-ucking me I-in so goood mm” he was practically whining. His words turned you on even more. “ouu” you moaned next to his ear. He backed away to sit up on his knees. He looked down to see the ring of white that sat at the base of his cock. Watching the way he completely disappeared inside of you. He moved his hand down to your clit and rubbed in slow circles as he fucked into you. Your moaning crescendoed and your legs shook. “Wait wait- ouu fuck wait.” You put your hand out in an attempt to get him to slow his strokes. He intertwined his fingers with yours as he continued to play with your sensitive nub. Tears graced your lashes as the shaking became more intense. “You gonna cum? Hm? Cum with me baby. Can you do that?” You were clamping down on him so good.
That familiar knot in your stomach was about to snap. He leaned into your neck anew. You bit down on his shoulder as you ran your nails down his back. “Tojii- ouu- mm I’m gonna- shit I’m gonna c-cum.” Your eyes rolled back and your vision went white when you came. Your entire body shook as his thrusts became sloppy. He whined as he pulled out and came on your stomach and shirt. He leaned his forehead against yours as you both caught your breath and came down from your high.
He peppered kisses all around your face as your body relaxed. “You did so good.” Was the last thing you really heard him say.
He went to the bathroom and cleaned himself up. He threw on a pair of boxers before coming back into the room. He cleaned your stomach and thighs with a warm towel making sure to be extra gentle. He pulled that shirt off of you and replaced it with the top to his green silk pajamas. You looked so cute in his large shirt. He then carried you to the bathroom and sat you down on the toilet. “(Y/N), wake up.” You opened your eyes to find a squatting Toji in front of you. From what you could make out, he had green pajama bottoms on with no shirt.
“What?” You were so cute. “You need to pee.” You nodded slowly. “Can you turn around?” You said, slurring the words together. He laughed. “(Y/N).” “Mhm?” “We just fucked.” “So? Nobody can pee with a six foot five man staring them down...” You said in protest. “Absolutely adorable…fine.” He turned around and you peed. When you were finished he helped you to the sink and then carried you back to bed. He covered you and then grabbed your clothes from earlier. He put them in the washing machine and cut all the lights off.
When he got in bed, you were facing away from him. He wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you close. He kissed the top of your head before slowly drifting to sleep with you.

pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, alcohol, mentions of sex (18+ mdni)
word count: 2.6k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
series masterlist | early access to the next chapter on ko-fi
“Just that you’re not technically a chef yet,” Minho explained defensively. “You’re not certified.”
“A chef doesn’t need a piece of paper to call themselves a chef,” Leo countered. “Anyone can be a chef. But don’t tell the WAC I said that.”
“Yeah, Minho haven’t you ever seen Ratatouille?” you teased.
“Great movie,” Leo added. “Jisung, great job on your dough,” he reiterated.
Jisung stuck his tongue out at his brother across the table who rolled his eyes in response as Leo picked up his ball of dough and rolled it in his hands.
“Minho, yours is still a little tough. Keep working on it.”
He nodded and took his dough back to continue kneading it. You noticed his jaw clenched subtly in frustration, but he didn’t say anything else. You watched as he rolled the pasta dough with a little more force, maybe a little too much.
Leo checked yours next and gave you similar feedback to Minho’s, even though Jisung had helped you with yours. You didn’t want to think about what kind of feedback you would have gotten on your own.
Your dough was still flaking apart when you went back to working on it, and you tried desperately to hold it together with little success. Jisung had left your side to help his mom so you were on your own.
At least Minho was also struggling. You felt a little better knowing he was miserable too.
You were starting to sweat with effort, you were so out of shape that even cooking had you catching your breath. You had thought this was going to be fun, but instead you were having flashbacks to high school P.E. class.
Leo made his way down the rest of the table and checked everyone else’s dough before circling back to you and Minho. He took over for Minho and instructed Jisung to finish kneading yours so that he could move on with the lesson. It was embarrassing to be singled out, but Jisung assured you it wasn’t your fault. He wasn’t making much progress with yours either.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with yours,” Jisung whispered to you.
“I probably did it wrong,” you hissed back.
“I watched you do it, you did it the same way as everyone else.”
“Then why is it being like this?”
“Sometimes food has a mind of its own,” Leo interjected, making you realize the entire class had been listening to you and Jisung’s back and forth. “This is good enough, though. We can set it aside with the other balls of dough to let them rest while we make the fillings.”
You and Minho set your sad pasta balls on the counter with the others before moving to the sink to rinse your hands.
“I think they’ll still taste good,” Minho said thoughtfully as he offered the bottle of soap to you and pumped some into your hands.
“I hope so.”
“It’s pasta, it’s almost impossible to fuck it up.”
“Yet somehow we still managed to.”
“Some would say it’s talent,” he said and shrugged.
You bumped his shoulder with your own as you fought over the water stream. You managed to stick your hands in first and Minho put his above yours only for you to shove them away.
“Hey!”
“You’re completely ruining the purpose of washing my hands!”
“I have soap on my hands, you have soap on your hands, what’s the issue?”
“And you’re washing off your germs and they’re going on my hands now!”
“Fine, fine, I’ll wait my turn,” he seceded and let you finish washing your hands before he rinsed off his own.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Making the fillings for the pasta was a much simpler process than making the dough. All you had to do was mix certain ingredients together. It didn’t matter what order you added them, if you whisked fast or slow, the only important thing was that everything made it into the bowl one way or another.
You worked in pairs for this step. Jisung mixed together the pesto filling while you did the parmesan-truffle one.
“This is different than the pesto I make,” he said, looking at the mixture in his bowl.
You frowned. “But I like your pesto.”
“It’ll still be good, baby,” he assured you with a kiss to the forehead. “Don’t worry.”
When the fillings were done it was time to revisit the balls of dough and roll them into pasta. Jisung explained it to you like rolling Play-Doh, but it was far more difficult in your opinion. Play-Doh was nowhere near as stubborn as this. The pasta dough somehow retained tension, and would bounce back every time you tried to stretch it.
Jisung ended up having to help you and Minho because both of you were starting at a disadvantage with your fucked up dough.
“I never want to hear you say I have it easier than you ever again,” Jisung warned as he folded your strands of dough into raviolis.
The class had moved on to the final step, shaping and filling the noodles, but you had already tapped out. Jisung was done with his portion before you had even finished one so he had taken over for you.
“I’m sorry for saying that,” you said, remembering all the times you had teased him for stressing out over his ‘soufflé final’ or ‘crepe labs’. “I would much rather be writing a paper right now.”
He shrugged. “Everyone has their strengths.”
“I’m starting to think that Ratatouille movie was bullshit,” you groaned.
“How ironic,” Minho snorted across from you.
He was really starting to get on your nerves. But you let his comment go, not allowing your temper to get the better of you. He was still Jisung’s family, even if they had a… complicated relationship.
When the class finally settled in the dining room of the restaurant to eat you were sweaty, sore, and exhausted. You could feel your skin sticking to the leather seat, and you felt severely underdressed. Back in the kitchen you hadn’t been so self-conscious. But now you couldn’t stop thinking about your appearance.
The atmosphere was much more sophisticated. The lights were dim, and soft music played in the background. All of the other guests were following an unspoken black-tie dress code while the fifteen of you were still wearing your disposable aprons, only now they were covered in flour and egg yolk.
And to make it worse-
“Smile!”
Nikki held up her phone and motioned for you and Jisung to scoot your chairs closer together. You took a deep breath and complied, leaning your head against your fake boyfriend’s and managing a grin. You really didn’t want this moment to be immortalized, but you didn’t want to be difficult either.
The camera flashed once, then again. Jisung wrapped a hand around your waist and pulled your body against his, pressing a kiss to your cheek for another picture. You scrunched up your face as the flash went off, the tickle of his breath against your skin and the feather-light touch of his lips making you squeeze your eyes shut.
“That’s a good one!” Nikki complimented, even though you were sure it wasn’t as flattering as she was making it out to be.
The pasta was served with a glass of red wine for everyone. Jisung was right, the pesto was different from his, but it was still good. It was no match for his recipe, but the handmade pasta did give it a few bonus points. You were sure you hadn’t gotten any of the noodles you made because all of the ones on your plate were perfect. It didn’t feel fair that you got to enjoy somebody else’s hard work while they got your shitty excuse of a ravioli.
But as the wine dwindled from your glass the negative thoughts began to ebb away too. Your muscles, though still sore, relaxed slightly and you rested your head on Jisung’s shoulder as everyone else finished their meals around you. The conversation carried on without your contribution. Your social battery had died hours ago, but you were content to listen to the Hans chat with other students at the table.
You weren’t a huge fan of wine, but the one served with dinner was palatable, and to be honest you weren’t one to turn down complimentary alcohol anyway. It tasted more expensive than anything you had ever drank, like the equivalent of velvet on your tongue. You finished your glass and the rest of Felix’s.
-
The next few days in Florence passed in a similar fashion. You ate a lot of carbs, drank a lot of alcohol and let the business of the itinerary overwhelm you. It was getting tiring, living in an act. Trailing along behind the Hans like a dog, worn on Jisung’s arm like an accessory.
You had known what you were getting into, and you were trying your best to enjoy the experiences- because who the fuck knows when you’ll ever get to go on such a nice vacation again, but pretending to be in love with your best friend was a harder feat than you had thought.
It felt like being in a school play. Every move and phrase had to be intentional. You tread the lines of your relationship with rehearsed expertise. And you had to watch what you said, because everyone’s eyes were on you. At least that’s what it felt like.
Jisung’s parents were easy. They fully bought into your lie, seeing what they wanted to. They usually left you to your own devices, too. His brothers were the ones who needed convincing. Not even Felix, though. Minho was the problem. Minho was always the problem.
You were in Rome now, walking back to the hotel from the Colosseum. Jisung had his arm slung around your shoulders and was talking his twin brother’s ear off about the Gladiators and inaccuracies in films about Ancient Rome.
You didn’t think you’d seen him this excited the entire trip. It was cute, the way he talked with his hands and looked off into the distance whenever he was really engaged in something. Felix was also cute. He was trying his best to keep up with Jisung, nodding his head at all the right points, asking questions when there was a pause in conversation.
“Yeah, gladiators fucking unionized,” Jisung explained. “They put their lives on the line all the time, ya know? Might as well get benefits.”
“If I was a gladiator I’d join their union,” you said, adding to the conversation for the first time in a while.
“There were women gladiators too, babe! You totally could’ve been one.”
You laughed. “You remember my season on the intramural dodgeball team? I wouldn’t last a day. But I appreciate the thought, Ji.”
You had dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel lobby. Nikki passed around her Canon for everyone to look through the pictures from the day while a bottle of limoncello was passed around the table.
You’d scarfed down your pasta and passed on dessert in favor of another shot of limoncello. Rookie mistake.
In the past the sugary drink had always tasted like cough syrup to you, but this batch tasted like straight-up lemonade. You were tipsy, bordering on drunk, but nowhere near blacked. Nikki and Dom turned in around shot three, leaving the tab open for the four of you. Jisung went upstairs next, having gone too hard too fast on the limoncello (he was on shot five when his parents went back to their room).
Then it was just You, Felix, and Minho. You told Jisung you’d join him in a bit after the pianist played a couple more songs. In all honesty, the music reminded you of Jisung. Back at school you could always find Jisung in the music hall if he wasn’t in the culinary building. You’d always hear him playing as soon as you walked through the double doors. You could always tell it was him at the keys by the way the playing sounded. He was self-taught, but still a genius in your mind. He didn’t need any formal training to make beautiful music, and that’s what you loved about it.
When he moved out of the dorms and into an apartment he bought a keyboard, and you’d spend nights together in his room illegally pirating sheet music for him to learn new songs. He’d play whatever you requested, and if he didn’t know how to play it he’d teach himself.
The pianist in the restaurant played with a little more expertise. The notes sounded refined, perfected. Jisung always told you that perfect music was restrained music, that real music had flaws, that a song should sound a little different every time it was played.
After an encore of Beethoven the man at the piano stood from his bench and took a bow, passing his hat around the room to collect tips. Minho dropped a bill into the hat and you did as well, handing it back to the man afterwards. He dumped the contents of the hat into a briefcase and closed the lid of the piano, thanking everyone in the audience for their donations.
“Well, I think I’m going to head up now,” Felix said, yawning for emphasis. “We still have to get up at the ass crack of dawn even though we’ll all probably be hungover.”
“Speak for yourself,” Minho said cockily, then turned to you. “One more shot?”
The bottle of limoncello was almost empty anyway. Might as well finish it off, it’d be a shame to let it go to waste, right?
“Hit me.”
“God, you’re both going to be so fucked tomorrow,” Felix groaned.
“We’ll be fine,” Minho insisted, rolling his eyes at his younger brother.
“Good night, Felix,” you sang, waving at him as he walked off.
“Yeah whatever.”
Minho wasted no time pouring you both a shot of what was left of the limoncello. The restaurant was beginning to clear out so he worked fast, filling the glasses up to the marked line. You both took one and clinked them together before throwing them back.
You winced at the burning sensation in the back of your throat and put the glass back on the table, searching for something to chase the shot with. Your eyes fell to Minho, lingering on his cheeks, his lips, both pink from the alcohol or something else. You flicked your gaze down to his neck, his collarbone that was peeking out from the neckline of his shirt. You thought about how it would feel to kiss him there, to run your tongue over a love bite you’d given him.
You forced your gaze back to his eyes, hoping he hadn’t caught you staring. You had to act uninterested, you couldn’t let on to- but he was staring back. His eyes were intense, and almost impossible to read in the darkness of the room. You knew you should look away, knew you had to keep up appearances, but you couldn’t.
Later you’d blame it on the alcohol, but in that moment you knew the limoncello wasn’t what was making your head spin, or your what was making your vision cloudy.
You were about to leave the table, about to rush to the elevator and back to Jisung but then suddenly Minho was kissing you. He cradled your head in his hand and tilted your chin up to meet his lips. It wasn’t desperate or messy like most drunk kisses were. Instead, it was delicate. You swore you could feel every line of his lips against yours, feel his heartbeat through his hands on your cheek.
It was only for a second, not enough time for you to react or reciprocate and then he was pulling away, eyes wide with panic.
“Please don’t tell Jisung.”
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

"Thank you!" The last library patron calls out and you wave back gratefully.
You shelve back the remaining books and made a sweep around the premises to make sure that there was nothing left behind before calling it a day.
The lights are switched off and you step out into the open, the statue lighting up the path to the bus stop. The last group of students huddle under the shelter and you can't help but to notice a few couples cozing up with each other as the rain slowed down into a drizzle, giving a cool breeze to the evening.
You can't wait to get back home, get into your jammies and watch Princess and the Frog with Barbecue chips. Someone should have warned you that holding a part-time job and job hunting was much harder than it sounds.
"There you are!"
You see Joaquin inside his jeep that is parked at the bus stop. His greeting has clearly attracted attention as students unbashedly stare at you. Joaquin seems the least bothered as he chuckles watching you make a run for the jeep.
"Drive! You can't stop here or else you'll get honked by the bus!" You scolded playfully as the jeep takes off.
"Hello to you, Miss Bossy," Joaquin laughs. "Hungry?"
Before you can respond, a loud growl emits from your stomach and you go positively tomato. "Don't say a word." You threaten as Joaquin raises a hand in surrender.
"Your choice mi lady."
"Ramen."
Joaquin drives you to a row of shophouses near the university library you work at. The smell of meat and broth wafting through the shop as the staff guides you to your table almost had you drooling for miles. The service was first class as the bowl of noodles came out just minutes later after your orders.
It had been a tough couple of months for you, but being with Joaquin somehow made your stress magically disappear. You didn't have to put a mask, or be mindful of your mannerisms. You could be… you. Suppers with Joaquin became a regular schedule and the situation you had to deal with became less scary.
The laughter went deep into the night and Joaquin drives you back, Ed Sheeran playing gently on the radio. The jeep rolls to a stop as you reach your apartment.
"Wait." He stops you from leaving the jeep and stretches his arm to the back to retrieve a white paper bag. "This is for you. Enjoy your movie."
You look into the paper bag and see a blueberry cake neatly presented in a box along with a rose.
"Thank you," you lean forward to give him a hug. "Thank you." You feel stupid for repeating your thanks but that was exactly how you were feeling. Joaquin made today a little less lonely. He made your fight a little less lonely. You will yourself not to cry and Joaquin smiles at you sadly.
He makes sure you've safely reached your apartment before leaving. Everyone is away on their trips and you have the whole apartment to yourself. Maybe you'll use the big screen TV instead of watching the film from your phone. You wash up and prep the movie. You put the bag of chips that you laid out earlier before leaving for work back into the basket and plate the blueberry cake.
You're all set in your baggy shirt, the movie starts as Tiana works towards her dreams, the cake tastes particularly sweet today and now that you've noticed… the rose seems brighter in the dark.
You don't know why, but it comforts you.

Yuu can do it!
Part 50
First - Previous - Masterlist - Next
Kuroki had thought, originally, the reason why he hadn’t been scheduled much since Savanaclaw’s whole… thing was because people weren’t visiting the Mostro Lounge as much, and therefore there wasn’t as much need for a second ‘nonthreatening’ server. Kuroki had covered all of Smee’s shifts while his coworker was injured, he thought it was only fair that Smee would get prioritized now that he was able to work again.
But then Smee had come over during their class on Yajugen. Kuroki had paused, his pencil half off the page. Because, yeah, Smee was a TA, but Kuroki didn’t really need help right now? Did he look stressed or something? Or… more stressed than usual? He thought he was doing fine. Relatively speaking, at least.
“Hey, man, you good? I haven’t seen you at work in a while…?”
Kuroki blinked at him.
A realization hit him over the head. He took a pencil to paper, making a note to check out a book from the library later.
He smiled at Smee. “I think you’ll see me around more, don’t worry. Can’t leave my favorite senpai hanging!”
Smee had to have known it was meaningless flattery, but he still smiled and blushed bright red.
Until Professor Hook called out to him and he had to go running back over. Ah, the inconveniences the working class has to put up with…
Kuroki looked down at the new note on his study guide, drumming his pencil on his desk.
(He skipped his next class. It wasn’t like he had ever really cared for choir, anyways, and his voice was always so quiet that he doubted Professor Kaa would even notice that he was gone.)
~
Kuroki stepped into the Mostro Lounge, the familiar sound of jazz washing over him. He hummed along, absently, making his way through the kitchen, mumbling “Behind” whenever he got too close to someone working, because he was not in the business of getting stabbed or doused in hot oil.
He was in the business of getting what he was fucking owed.
He saw the exact moment Jade caught sight of him, and sent his senior a slightly nervous smile. He had, somewhat, gotten used to the primal terror that loved to take him over whenever he got too close to the Leech twins.
Unfortunately for him, he just generally had anxiety about being around people who could and would beat him up, so he was still utterly terrified because of that.
“I didn’t know you were scheduled for today,” Jade said, more for the sake of being polite than anything else.
“I’m here to meet Ashengrotto-senpai, actually!” Kuroki said, bowing slightly, trying to resist the urge to cover the back of his neck with his hands.
Jade brought a hand to his mouth, chuckling. “I see. Then, I suppose I should tell you that customers need to buy something while they wait to meet him. We do not appreciate loiterers.”
Kuroki nodded his understanding and took a seat at the bar. He was half tempted to ask for a shot of ‘liquid courage’, but alcohol tastes terrible, so he would pass on that. Instead, he got himself a plate of nachos that was way too expensive and picked at that while he waited.
He spun around in his bar stool, watching the patrons of the Lounge. Business was booming, if only because there were so many people waiting to see Azul. No one was meeting each other's eyes.
Kuroki thought back to the contract Floyd had once tried to rope him into. Something about how If you’re from another world, Koebi-chan, you’re toooootally gonna fail your tests, right? Kuroki was a little insulted by their lack of faith in him, though he supposed it wasn’t personal — Floyd was trying to pick at a perceived insecurity, which was just part of being a salesman.
Kuroki had always known better than to trust a damn salesman, though.
He wondered, absently, what these people were getting themselves into. What the catch was.
The door at the back of the Lounge swung open. Azul was smiling widely as he led a Savanaclaw student out of his meeting room.
Kuroki sighed. It was one of the people on the Savanaclaw Magift team. Antlers Man. Whatever his name was. Kuroki didn’t particularly like the guy (literally didn’t even know his name), but he felt a little bad for him. The guy was clearly lacking brain cells, Azul was kind of messed up for taking advantage of him.
Azul’s eyes locked onto Kuroki, and for a second the boy’s expression dropped in horror.
0/10 performance, senpai, take notes from, like, any of us Ramshackle people, we could do better, Kuroki chided, mentally. Though he was smart enough not to let this thought show on his face, which only proves his expertise in this particular subject.
Azul hesitated, briefly, before striding over, his weird cane thing gesturing at Kuroki. “It is rude to show up uninvited, but in the spirit of benevolence, I will hear you out!”
Kuroki smiled, leaving his half-finished nachos on the counter, hopping off of the stool and lacing his hands behind his back. “How gracious of you, senpai. Did the Headmaster give you lessons?”
Azul’s eye ticked.
Jade looked like he was having the time of his life. He handed Azul something, and then continued on with his work, mumbling something about how it was a shame Floyd was skipping today…
Which, first of all, hell yeah! No Floyd!
Second of all, Azul was now eating a shrimp cocktail. Okay. This was fine, probably.
“Many people know I’m here,” Kuroki lied, just to ensure that Azul didn’t actually try to eat him. “Just… for the record.”
Azul gave a thin-lipped smile and continued to usher Kuroki into his meeting room.
Oh, they actually had a decent chair on both sides of the desk this time! Probably for the sake of lulling people into a false sense of security before they sold their — souls, or whatever. Still, Kuroki appreciated this much more than the plastic chair he’d been given the last time he was there.
Azul took a seat opposite him, folding his hands on his desk.
“What brings you here?” Azul asked. “Are you interested in one of the Lounge’s services?”
Kuroki gave a small hum. “Actually, I noticed a small discrepancy in my pay. You see, I got the bonus for all of the hours I did during the Magift game, but… funnily enough, I never got Worker’s Comp.”
Azul grimaced, caught.
If he had just scheduled Kuroki as normal, Kuroki wouldn’t have even thought about it. Why would he? He wouldn’t naturally assume Worker’s Compensation was a thing in this world — it just wasn’t something he thought about often.
“Yes… I was attempting to determine just how much the Lounge owed you. You were treated quickly, and there was little reason to assume you would get hit with a stray Magift Disk during the game… it made the situation a little gray.”
Kuroki nodded, slowly. “Well, luckily for you, I seek an alternative means of compensation.”
Azul’s eyes narrowed. “Such as?”
“I would like to cancel any deals my friends — Enma Yuuken, Ito, and Grim — have ever made with you, and ask you to never make a deal with them in the future.”
Azul blanched in surprise. “That’s… why aren’t you including yourself in that?”
He was pretty sure that Azul was just trying to buy himself time to think, but Kuroki didn’t mind answering regardless:
“Because I’m pretty sure you’d use it as an excuse to terminate my contract with you, and I really don’t want to have to find another job.”
“… I’m not sure this is an entirely equal arrangement.”
“I could always go to the Union and ask them why you took so long to even mention possible Worker’s Comp. to me,” Kuroki said, innocently. “And I’m sure the school would be interested to know why our schedules on the day of the Magift Tournament had a sudden alteration that prevented all of our workers from being in the way of that sudden stampede, almost as if you had known that it would happen ahead of time. Or, maybe, I should mention Leona-senpai’s use of a very difficult to obtain Mana Potion?”
The last one was a shot in the dark. Kuroki really didn’t know for sure whether Azul was involved with that, it was just something that he would do. But the way that Azul was getting progressively paler with every word was confirmation of a sort.
Hell yeah. Bluffing for the win!
And then, just to watch his senpai suffer a little, Kuroki added:
“How many other people here know about Worker’s Comp.? Are you giving the bare minimum benefits? Should the Union know about anything else?”
Golden light flickered in Azul’s hands, and before Kuroki knew it a contract was being shoved into his face.
He smiled as he looked it over. Everything was in order, even if the wording was vague in places (because Azul couldn’t admit on paper that he wasn’t complying with the Union’s demands).
He signed his name on the dotted line.
And then leaned back in the plush chair.
“Pleasure doing business with you.”
~
Not even three days later, Grim took a sudden interest in Kuroki’s work schedule. Asking him which days he would have off… and Kuroki would usually assume that the monster was just missing him now that Kuroki was going to work again…
However, the way Grim came home sulking the next day, mumbling about stupid fish, was a small hint towards the monster’s true intentions.
Kuroki breathed a sigh of relief. They were already poor, no need to get indebted to Azul somehow.
As for Ito and Enma… he hadn’t really expected them to go to Azul, the guy was visibly shady. Kuroki simply… hadn’t wanted to risk it. They had shown they were willing to cheat in dire circumstances, back during the Culinary Crucible, and Kuroki would have stressed about every little increase in their grades, natural or not, until exams were over.
In the end, Kuroki never noticed any strange behavior from either of them, so he thought it was safe to assume that they hadn’t gone to Azul.
(Not that they couldn’t fake that, of course, they were both decent actors when they wanted to be. But if Kuroki spent too long thinking about that, he could and would spiral over that thing he wasn’t thinking about right now, so he was ignoring the possibility.)
~
Ah, thought Kuroki. Consequences.
He had thought that Azul wouldn’t have any easy ways to get back at him. He needed Kuroki to be on the waitstaff, so he couldn’t really force Kuroki to get the short end of the stick shift-wise, not without hurting his bottom line. He couldn’t fire him without getting in trouble with the Union. He couldn’t even pull a classic Japanese Evil Boss move and exclude Kuroki to try and make him quit on his own, because Kuroki would love to have an excuse to not interact with others.
He had been invulnerable to anything and everything Azul could throw at him.
Now, his customer service smile was more of a grimace, because he had forgotten about the fucking Leeches.
“Koebi-chaaaaan,” Floyd sulked, practically laying across the bar. “Why don’t you ever go Pistol Shrimp on us?”
“Because my pistol got confiscated.”
Floyd blinked. “What.”
Kuroki blinked right back at him. “What were you saying?”
“I — you had a pistol?! And it got confiscated?!” Floyd said, suddenly perking up, as if he had never been upset at all. Kuroki… wasn’t sure this was a win.
Kuroki sighed. “Yes, I did, now can you please keep your voice down?” He set down the shot glass he had been polishing. It was, typically, best to go along with whatever Floyd wanted, lest you put him in a bad mood, so — after a quick glance around to make sure no one was paying attention to them — he, briefly, pulled a fake gun from his suit jacket. “I would prefer people don’t know that this one is…”
He trailed off, mostly because Floyd had jumped to his feet, smiling widely.
Ah, it seemed he was going to be having a bad time regardless of Floyd’s mood. Damn.
“Fight me!”
“U-uh?” Kuroki said. “No thanks? I’m trying not to die.”
Floyd was, apparently, not taking no for an answer, because he grabbed Kuroki by the arms and hauled him up, right off of the floor, dragging him bodily over the counter and starting to carry him away. If Kuroki wasn’t very invested in the whole ‘not getting his ass beat’ thing, he would have probably made a joke about it.
And then he realized that it wouldn’t help him either way, because Floyd was apparently very interested in fighting him.
“Don’t you know anything about consent, senpai? No means no.”
“Not funny, Yuuya-san. That is a very sensitive topic that you are joking about,” a new voice chimed in, and Kuroki was torn between screaming and crying. A strange, slightly garbled sound tore its way out of his throat in its stead. He wasn’t even all that embarrassed, because why did Jade have to be here, too?!
Kuroki just wanted to do his job!
“Should’ve fucking let Azul fire me during that deal. Could’ve played dumb ‘n everything. Would have been less of a hassle…”
(He could’ve been a really cute librarian, like Grim suggested way back at the beginning of the year! Or! He could work in the infirmary! Crowley hates work, Kuroki can take over for him! He would rock a stethoscope! Or whatever the magical equivalent of one was!)
He’d spoken in a mumble but, it turns out, the Leech twins’ hard of hearing-ness was only applicable when Kuroki wasn’t being actively carried by them.
Jade smiled. “Oh? And what, exactly, did your deal with Azul entail?”
He blinked, stunned into silence.
“Don’t worry, Jade. You’ve already used your UM, but I can get the information out of him the old fashioned way!”
Kuroki spluttered, and only half because Floyd had just tossed him to the ground and it did not feel good. “That’s what this is about?! You could have asked, you know!”
Floyd frowned. “But that’s no fun.”
“Hurting me isn’t ’fun’, either!” Kuroki snapped back.
“Wrong,” Floyd said.
How was he supposed to respond to that?!
“Now, now, Yuuya-san, you said you would give us answers, don’t attempt to change the subject,” Jade said, sharp teeth on display.
Kuroki held his hands up in surrender. “I wasn’t trying to distract you guys!” He would have been more subtle about it if he had been. “I just —…”
Wait.
Azul hadn’t told them what happened? Is that why they’d been paying more attention to Kuroki as of late? Why didn’t Azul say anything? Weren’t they all supposed to be pretty close?
Unless.
Ha.
Hahahahahaha.
No way! Was Azul actually embarrassed?
Kuroki snickered into his hand. “Oh, I’d be happy to tell you about it. Hell, I’d do it through song, if you want.”
“Oh, sweet! Do you need a beat?” Floyd asked.
Kuroki hesitated. “That… was a joke.”
Jade gave what must have been his best approximation of a pout. “Aren’t you in choir? I’m curious as to your singing prowess.”
“How do you know about —?” Kuroki remembered the background check they’d done on him at the beginning of the year. He sighed. “Nevermind. So, what happened was…”
So, he regaled the two Leech twins with a colorful account of his meeting with Azul. He hadn’t told Enma and Ito (he didn’t want them to know — he didn’t know how they’d react — and, if he was lucky, they would never find out), so he might have been a little… pent up? It was strange. He’d never been a particularly social person back in his own world. His throat had ached a little, towards the end of that first day, after he’d shouted at everyone to get them to stop arguing… if he hadn’t gotten that healing potion from Crowley, he might’ve actually lost his voice at some point. He had never had people to talk to like this, he hadn’t known he could be so… reliant on others. To the point where the words were spilling out of him so freely.
Or maybe it was because he was scared the Leech twins might kill him if he didn’t tell them everything.
Or, worse: they might keep bothering him.
At least they would leave him alone once they got their answers.
~
They did not, in fact, leave him alone after they got their answers. In fact, it felt like they were actively trying to be even more annoying now.
”Wooooah,” said Floyd, his head on Kuroki’s shoulder. Kuroki had been placed in the kitchen today, the Sevens only know why. Maybe Azul was getting back at him for telling the twins what happened, maybe Jade had meddled with the schedules. “It’s real shrimp fried rice!”
”This is beef fried rice, actually, senpai,” he said, in the tone you speak to a small child who had said something extremely stupid and were now explaining a basic concept to. “That’s what the customer ordered.”
”You sure do like playing dumb, huh?” Floyd said.
Kuroki’s hand stilled on the cutting board. He had never really… thought of Floyd as observant. If anything, he’d thought the opposite. The guy clearly held no regards for social graces. Even the simple ones, like give the people you don’t know fucking personal space. He had, kind of, just assumed that the guy didn’t know, and it wasn’t as if Kuroki was going to stick his neck out and try to teach him.
But, no, Floyd might actually have a brain rattling around in there. This was, in his opinion, far worse. Kuroki’s hand twitched with the sudden urge to use the paring knife he was using to cut vegetables for something far less kitchen-safe. It would even hurt extra bad, because he was cutting chilies right now.
This mental image calmed him, somewhat. Which was, probably, not a good sign for his current mental state. But whatever. He smiled, and it wasn’t even all that forced.
”No, I think I’m just actually stupid.”
”I hear your grades are pretty good, though. Especially considering your situation.”
”Poor people can get good grades, too, senpai,” Kuroki said. “Lack of money does not necessarily indicate a lack of talent. Usually it’s actually quite the opposite!”
Floyd laughed. He tugged on the tiny puff of hair in Kuroki’s ponytail, as if trying to punish him for playing dumb again. “I was talking about you being from another dimension, actually!”
Kuroki was going to kill this guy. Without lifting his head, he glanced from side to side. If anyone had heard, they were minding their own business. So… no one had heard.
Probably.
He pressed his palms into his eyes, groaning in a strange mix of relief and frustration.
And then he screamed. He’d been working with chilies. Right. Right.
Fucking ow.
At least his screams alerted Azul to the fact that something was off, because he poked his head into the kitchen. “Why are you here? You were scheduled to man the bar today.”
”I was — schedule changed,” Kuroki said, scrubbing his eye furiously with water. It was not helping.
Azul scowled. “I see. Well, get behind the bar.”
”Y-yeah, okay,” Kuroki mumbled. He considered staying for a little longer to soothe his eyes, but whatever. He could not handle any more time with Floyd today. He could deal with blurry vision for a while, if that was the alternative.
Who knows. Maybe he’d get more tips if it looked like he’d just been bawling his eyes out, out of pity.
He pulled his hair out of his ponytail and wrapped the… hair… band… thing around his wrist. It was borrowed from another Mostro Lounge worker, but Ito had a tendency to complain about how hard ‘ligas’ were to keep up with, so… theirs now. Thank you, random coworker, for your generous charity donation.
He made his way over to the bar, still blinking back tears.
”Here.” A towel touched his hand. It was wet, and smelled distinctly of milk. “Press this to your eye. It should help soothe the pain.”
”Thank —,” Kuroki started to say, only to pause. Because he knew that voice. If he gave a strangled scream, it was just because his eyes really hurt. “Thank you, Jade.”
”Of course! I wouldn’t want my coworker to be in pain. I’m not often put on bar duty, and I’ll need your help ensuring I don’t make any mistakes. Let’s do our best, today, yes?”
Is there no justice in this world?!
~
The doorbell rang.
The Ramshackle kids were stunned. They hadn’t known they had a doorbell. Ace and Deuce usually vented their frustrations on their front door — if Ace didn’t just waltz in like he owned the place.
Grim floated over to open the door. “Nice to see you guys have finally discovered electricity — oh! It’s Jack!”
“At least say Jack-kun,” Enma scolded him lightly.
“Nah, it’s fine,” Jack said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Call me whatever.”
“Alright, Jack-chan,” Kuroki said.
Jack sighed and, surprisingly, didn’t rise to the bait. “That’s on me.”
“Nah, it’s on Kuroki,” Enma said, cuffing him over the head. He sent Jack a grin. “Hey, you’re early.”
“I’m… on time?” Jack said, checking his phone for the time. “Honestly, I think I’m a little late. You guys said 18:00, right?”
“Yeah, but Ace and Deuce are usually thirty minutes late.”
“I just — respect your time!”
“Eh, we don’t mind. They’re off, like, making out, probably, and I’d prefer they get that out of their system before they come here.”
“What’s ’making out’?” Grim asked.
“Kuroki, why are you all pouty?” Enma said, a little louder than was strictly necessary.
Kuroki pouted harder now that he had been acknowledged. “Why did Grim get off with a warning but I gotta deal with a bruise?”
“First of all, if you get a bruise from that you’ve got bigger problems. Second of all, Grim is way too small for me to feel comfortable hitting him. And don’t act like you wouldn’t be pissy if I hit him.”
Kuroki pouted even harder.
Enma rolled his eyes.
Ito poked their head out of the kitchen. “Hey! Jack, do you want something to eat?”
Kuroki’s eyes lit up. “Ito, Enma hit me!”
“Did you deserve it?”
Kuroki spluttered, his fake pout immediately dropping in sheer shock and horror. “What the fuck?!”
“You guys really are… spirited…” Jack said, glancing behind himself, as if he was considering turning tail and running.
Unfortunately for him, Ace and Deuce were actually somewhat on time today, somehow, and they all-but pushed Jack through the door.
“Ito, what’re you making?” Ace called.
They shrugged. “I was thinking about whipping up a few sandwiches. I don’t know what Jack can stomach.”
Deuce shook his head. “Nonono, it’s his first time here, you have to go big or go home!”
“We can’t go home, we’re already in our home,” Enma pointed out.
“Exactly! So you gotta go big!”
Ito crossed their arms over their chest. “Fine, fine. I’m guessing you guys want tacos?”
“Yes!” Ace said, pointing. “Make the red thing!”
“… the red — pico? Okay, sure, fine. I’ll make some.”
Kuroki opened his mouth.
“Jalapeños on the side, yes yes.”
He smiled.
“Jack, do you have any preferred type of meat? Or is ground beef fine? Because if not I’m going to have to send you on a quick grocery run, we’re out of everything else.”
Jack rubbed the back of his neck. “Um. It’s fine. But I thought we were all going to be… studying?”
“Can’t study on an empty stomach!” Grim said.
As if he could study on a full stomach.
~
The plan had been simple:
Step 1 was Food. It was a good step 1, Kuroki thought, probably the most important one. Not starving is fun. So is eating tacos. Hell yeah.
Step 2 was to study one core subject each.
Step 3 was to make everyone give a presentation on their chosen subject.
They would still have to study for their elective courses on their own, but… Kuroki was trying not to think about that, frankly.
The first years study session went as so:
Ito, the only person that could actually pay attention to Trein’s class and therefore knew what the man prioritized, gave an abridged history lesson. No conspiracy board this time, thank fuck, just a couple of study guides they’d written up when work was slow.
Ace was the best at math, so he had been put in charge of Personal Magical Ability. This wasn’t a core class, but it was close enough. Over half of the people present took it and, from what little Kuroki had overheard about it, the class was difficult. Kuroki didn’t want to know about how gravity and wind speed affected how your magic interacts with the world. Nor did he need to know, he was magicless. Convenient!
Enma had chosen his Magical Analysis class with Professor Yaxha. No one else was in it — a class on Magical Theory isn’t exactly the kind of thing the average teenager finds fun. But it actually did help the mages get a better understanding of their magic… probably. Jack, Ace, Deuce, and Grim all looked enlightened by the end of Enma’s lecture on visualization and observing those around you, at least. Kuroki, frankly, hadn’t understood a word of it. Nor did he need to! Once again, he couldn’t use magic, so who cares!
(Kuroki and Ito didn’t particularly mind being left out for Ace and Enma’s lectures, since it gave them time to whip up a quick marshmallow recipe, which was a nice break from studying.)
Deuce chose theater, because everyone present was in it, save for Kuroki and Enma. Because everyone else was lucky enough to not be from another world, and therefore didn’t have to spread out all of their classes for the sake of efficiently getting a grasp upon the new reality they had been thrust into without warning. They were free to take the only art elective that didn’t fully require you to put yourself out there.
And Ito had won nosegoes.
Kuroki wasn’t sure which side he hated more.
At least Ace was also suffering. Every time Deuce made a point, everyone would make him recite it, word for word. This was what he deserved for not doing a single page of the homework on his own this semester.
(Enma and Kuroki spent most of that time arguing over whether they should roast the marshmallows or not. Kuroki still held that the only reason Enma wanted to roast them was that he knew he would make their food spontaneously combust regardless of whether he was intending it.)
Jack had chosen Phys Ed. This was a little unfair, seeing as there wasn’t really much to teach in Gym class, but Jack was a sudden addition to their study group, and they’d had to scramble for something to make him do.
And, admittedly, for how little he had to work with, he did a pretty good job presenting. Next semester he would be a valuable addition to their friend group.
Kuroki, of course, ended up with Alchemy, because none of the others should be trusted to teach it, considering they didn’t understand it themselves. Kuroki himself was decent enough at it. It was mostly just following directions. Unfortunately, his friends were basically incapable of following instructions, so his job was essentially to drill all of the rote memorization into their heads.
If they got a good enough grade on the written portion of the exams, the practical portion might not be an issue!
Hopefully.
Thanks to the hours upon hours of his life Kuroki spent poring over their Alchemy textbook, though, he finally figured out why Ito’s cauldron kept exploding:
“Mana! It is a Thing!” he said.
“Ohhhhhhhh…” said Ace. “I’m stupid.”
“Nah, Ito is,” Deuce said.
“You’re not getting dessert,” Ito mumbled.
Ace and Deuce never learn, do they?
Deuce hit the floor. “Aghhhh my blood pressure… it’s so low… I need… sugar…”
Ito raised an eyebrow. “Or salt.”
“… noooooooo...”
Kuroki waved his hands for their attention. “Guys? Hello? I’m trying to fix our explosion problem?”
They, reluctantly, paid attention. Kuroki huffed. He was trying to make sure they didn’t have any more accidents! He had spent an entire day trapped in the same body as Ito last week! He didn’t want a repeat of that event! Please!
“Right, so, Mana, yeah?” Kuroki said. “It’s in everything. When you stir clockwise, it increases the potency of the potion — and, therefore the mana.”
Enma hummed. “I mean, yeah, they didn’t know what clockwise and counterclockwise meant until very recently, but they’re left-handed, wouldn’t they accidentally stir counterclockwise more?”
“… Ito is left-handed?” Kuroki asked, devastated. His theory!
Ito nodded. “Technically, I’m ambidextrous. Most lefties are. But, yeah, I prefer my left hand.”
“Freak,” said Ace, his nose scrunching.
“Dessert,” Ito reminded him.
“Nevermind.”
Ito nodded, once, approvingly. Then they turned back to Kuroki. “I stir with my right hand, though.”
“Oh, wow, left-handed people are just like the rest of us!” Jack joked.
Jack can make jokes? Wild.
Ito rolled their eyes. “It’s so I can prepare ingredients with my left hand at the same time.”
“Anyways, Ito, I am going to drill the difference between clockwise and counterclockwise into your head. Also, stir counterclockwise to dilute potions, don’t add water. It is not cooking. Water has a lot of mana, you’re doing the opposite of what you’re intending.”
Ito huffed. “Alchemy sucks. Is it too late to drop out of school?”
“No! You have to stay!” Grim said.
Ito looked somewhere between touched and wary, as if they were waiting for the catch.
Indeed, Grim soon realized that that sounded too nice, and promptly course corrected:
“Because you’re the best cook here! I can only eat so many omelets.”
“Hey! Why am I catching strays? Make fun of Enma for burning shrimp instead!” Kuroki pointed at him.
He wasn’t sure whether Enma was more offended by the pointing or the reminder of his lack of cooking prowess.
“Excuse me?!”
Kuroki screeched as he was pulled in a headlock, a hand messing up his hair. He called for help, but to no avail.
Even Jack stood by and did nothing. Apparently this visibly uneven fight wasn’t the kind of thing that he would get between.
Damn it.
He hates this school.
~
Grim did not have to do a presentation. Because it was Grim. He gets special privileges.
(And no one wanted to fail, which would certainly happen if they put the fate of their grades in the monster’s hands. He didn’t even have hands! He had paws! How could he properly cradle their fates, how could he keep them from harm, when he had no opposable thumbs?)
When Grim questioned why he hadn’t been forced to do a presentation, Kuroki recalled, loudly, that they had yet to eat dessert. Grim didn’t burn the dorm down, and they got sugary goodness out of it, so Kuroki was calling this a win overall.
~
“Alright, so… practical magic exams…” Enma looked over the four mages in the room. “How about you all try and use each other’s go-tos? Magic is all about visualization, right? You all know each other's magic pretty well…”
Because they’re constantly fighting each other.
Enma cleared his throat. “Alright. Grim, try Ace’s wind magic. Ace, try summoning something. Deuce…” He glanced at Jack, before shaking his head. Try Grim’s fire magic. Jack… uh… I guess take your pick?”
Kuroki’s eyebrows knit. Why wasn’t anyone trying Jack’s magic? Does Enma not know how closed circuits work?
His thought process was cut off when a cauldron went crashing through the floor. Ace grinned widely.
“I’m so good at magic.”
“… we should have done this outside,” sighed Ito.
“You’re covering repair costs,” Kuroki told Ace, flatly.
Ace swore, loudly.
Enma sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “How about all of you mages get some practical magic practice in and summon enough gold to fill this hole?”
“That’s more of an Alchemy thing,” Jack admitted. “And it's super high-level, too…”
Kuroki perked up.
“Nicolas Flamel? King Midas? Watch out, I’m about to steal your shtick.”
“Going to steel their shtick?” Enma asked.
It was hard to tell who groaned the loudest. Jack looked like he was back to wanting to leave and never come back.
“And right after I do that, I’m going to murder Enma.”
“Deserved,” said Grim.
Enma rolled his eyes. “I’m not eating your bell peppers for you anymore.”
“Wait,” said Kuroki.
“Hold on,” said Grim.
“C’mon, man, I was kidding! Don’t do this to me! Do you want me to die? You’re going to kill me —!”

and i wish you could hear what i say to myself about you,
when you’re not here.
how i wish you could hear me to tell myself to cool it in class,
when i catch myself smiling at the fact you even sent me a message,
before i’ve even seen what it says.
because at least it’s you.
because you told me the sweetest things i’ve ever been so blessed and grateful to hear.
my fruit was pineapple,
despite the bath and body works that would say otherwise.
“you remind me of strawberries”
my signature strawberry scent that i have dawned since i was 14. i’m 19 now.
i have more bottles of that perfume than one person needs,
and the hand sanitizer,
and the lotions and hand creams,
and the hand soap by my sink.
because it mixes well with vanilla,
the same vanilla in my favorite body wash. that same vanilla i could smell on my grandmother when we sat next to each other for our birthday.
because you have always come back,
because you kept your promise from that night.
that i could call if i needed help.
and that night you came back after the yelling that caused the tears to melt off my eyeliner.
because i have given so many reasons you should never come back for me but,
you’re still here.
and i tell you i love you every morning because i do.
and i can feel excitement bubble up inside me
so viscerally i think i’m a volcano that could go off at the slightest tremble of the earth.
when i say you give me butterflies
i mean it in the most beautiful way possible,
and they carry me away every single time.
and yet i have so much to say but i could never say it all to you.
because my words could never do these feelings justice.
i wish you could hear every single word of poetry written in my head about you.
describing the way your deep brown eyes pierce mine
when we actually make eye contact.
it always stops me in my tracks when you smile,
the way your dimples reach so deeply into your face.
i have a video i go back and watch,
so damn often,
just for the taste of your smile.
because it reminds me of just how sweetly you taste,
like honey so soft on my tongue.
like that first sip of water in the middle of the night that you can feel
rehydrating and
refreshing the entirety of your still
so tired body.
i wish you could hear the way
i wish
i could lace words as delicate as your touch.
i am treated like porcelain
because i am.
because you know how easy i am to break, because you’ve done it before.
and yet you still put those pieces back together and mended me with gold like you were a professional at the art kintsugi.
and you kissed my scars,
telling me that you were there
and that everything would be ok.
and if you could hear the melodies in my head when you speak,
your voice like a booming symphony to me,
no matter how soft your tone.
if i could write lyrics from the notes in my brain,
those songs would sell out stadiums.
deep and rich,
just like the soil we stand on.
and if i could, id take away all the pain
stored deep inside that i can hear crackling through your voice like a raging fire.
i wish you could hear what i say to myself about you when you’re not around,
all the silent thoughts left unsaid.
remembering the memories the no one can steal.
how privately i admire you, trying to bring you to life in a drawing.
trying to emulate the smile from that night,
and evoke the emotions behind it all.
serene, peaceful,
joyous.
i wish you could hear
just how much i wish i could go back,
to that night we met.
the night we walked under the stars,
smiling and laughing,
and just reliving it again.
i wish you could hear the things I say to myself when you’re not here.
because you’d hear how lovely you are,
and how dearly i cherish you.
because you’d hear me whispering to myself,
as i carefully move the rose you gave me in late October.
if you could hear the way i tell myself to calm down,
whenever i’m excited to see you.
i might just get
a sweet and joyous chuckle.
if you could see the way my insides warp and twist in anticipation.
the way i check my phone each night,
a million times before i fall asleep
just in case you need me.
the way
poetry about you
always seems so go on forever;

Quick Hits #13: In The Water
It was in the water.
Alyssa called a plumber in the first time she saw it. Black liquid thick as motor oil spewing from the faucet. It splattered in the bowl of the sink but didn’t go down the drain. Instead it lingered, Alyssa studying its appearance, feeling strangely compelled by it. It soaked up the kitchen light, reflecting nothing but its blackness. It seemed to vibrate there, an unearthly twitch in its composition like it was responding to Alyssa’s presence. She forgot to breathe.
When she regained her senses, Alyssa washed the black something down the drain, thankful to find water spill from the faucet again. When the plumber checked the pipes he said that all of these rentals near campus had been converted from old country houses, many with the same old copper plumbing. “All kinds of gunk could be backed up in those pipes,” he said. But the mystery deepened when he got into the basement and found that the plumbing had been completely torn out and replaced sometime in the last decade. Alyssa hated the way he looked at her as she insisted that she’d seen what she saw.
“Hey,” he said. “Between you and me? I’ve gotten a few calls like this lately. You want my theory? I think Futurum’s putting something in the water.”
Alyssa wasn’t interested in conspiracy theories. She needed a real answer.
She shared the bizarre incident with her friend at work the next day. Julie, a professor of biology at CSU, was fascinated by the description of the black water, but she offered few ideas.
“I’d love to study it,” Julie said.
“I don’t know,” Alyssa replied. “It was so strange, Julie. It was like I lost myself a bit staring at it. Like I could feel it staring back into me. All I wanted was to reach out and touch it. To taste it, even.”
“Well, definitely don’t taste it,” Julie laughed. “But hit me up if you see it again.”
Their interaction was brief, Julie passing through to a class and Alyssa with an emergency one o'clock with a student looking to restructure their entire semester. They agreed to get drinks and catch up for real soon, then went their separate ways.
Days passed. Alyssa didn’t see the black water again but it was never far from her mind. One night she awoke to the sound of her phone buzzing on the night stand. She didn’t know the number but it was from the Romero area code. The woman’s voice was unfamiliar, but sounded softer than it should have been, her words were slow and deliberate, a small breath between each line.
“The Master has chosen you to carry its gift, Alyssa. Listen for its call. Accept its power.”
“Who is this?” Alyssa blinked, still half asleep. “What are you talking about?”
“All life surrenders to the Master.” A click on the other end, and the caller was gone.
The next day Alyssa received a strange text from Julie.
J: drink the water alyssa
A: What??
J: all life surrenders to the master
As Alyssa read the message from her friend, a crack formed in her mind. Unlike its other vessels, Alyssa didn’t have to wait to hear the Master’s voice—she had already been touched. It happened that day as she stared into the sink, watching the Master’s form. Its vibrations bored their way into her mind until its truths were fixed like a tattoo on her brain.
How had she clawed back? A few vessels had shown resistance, but ultimately they all found their way to the Master. Because in the end, there was one truth above all.
Alyssa’s phone bounced off the rug. She sunk mindlessly backward into the couch, her eyes rolling back, faint signs of her pupils clipping erratically beneath her eyelids. Her whole body followed the motion of her eyes, shaking as the words pushed through her. All life, she thought. All life.
Soon a stillness came over Alyssa. The embrace of plush cushions held her softly while she lay motionless. Waiting? Thinking?
come
Without a word, Alyssa rose from the couch. She stepped slowly, deliberately toward the stairs and ascended the creaky old steps to the second floor. The bathroom was at the end of the hallway and inside she found that the tub was already full.
It was in the water. It had always been there. The Master didn’t need to awaken Alyssa like the others. Perhaps she was a test to see just how powerful it was. A test of the one truth above all.
The black water was cold as Alyssa slid down into the tub, but it wasn’t enough to pull her from the fugue.
drink
Alyssa continued to sink, dipping her head beneath the water, mouth open so that the Master could fill every hole. That was all she was. That was all she had ever been. A vessel to be filled.
Alyssa emerged from the water with a sharp moan. The Master had taken every bit of her, and she could only scream in orgasm as the change took hold of her. She could hear the voices of the assimilated, the dozens across Romero who had already experienced this power for themselves, welcoming her to the fold. The sensation was all still so new to her that she couldn’t make any sense of the noise. But she knew that Julie was in there somewhere, she could feel her waiting to be fucked in mindless service to the Master.
As the transformation came to a close, Alyssa repeated the one truth above all: “All life surrender to the Master.”

Are we not Engaged? Part 3.
-Queen Eve sounds perpetually drowsy.
-Lol, Lumera gave Firene special treatment with an extra ring.
-The Firene castle explore area really is quite pretty.
-Dipwad Elusian commander is still alive.
-Oh nvm, psycho bitch killed him. Zephia really is a walking cliche roflmao.
-I think Azura dragon loli killed Lumera.
-Vander Alfred C: Alfred apologizes for not making it earlier to save Lumera, Vander is devoted.
-Clanne Framme B: They keep going on about how there’s a lot of people in the area but we don’t see any npc’s roflmao. Also Clanne’s got stage freight.
-Framme Boucheron C: Holy shit Boucheron’s voice acting is terrible. He’s a sensitive type. That’s his gimmick. His offering to read his story to Framme is cute but it just emphasizes how young she is.
-Daawww, Sommie’s following me around the Somniel, that’s a little cute. I gave him shades :)
-First paralogue \o/
-It’s called budding talent. Oh no.
-Jean has the body of a young boy and the voice of an 80 year-old woman.
-Oh I finally hit deploy limits. Goodbye Boucheron, Alfred, and Clanne.
-yeah I don’t care much what growths Jean has, I don’t need a healer to be super strong and Framme heals just fine, even with her painted-on biceps meaning she can’t throw a punch.
-Celine got mvp. Again.
-”Can I come along and help,” sure Jean, those benches ain’t gonna warm themselves :)
-Evidently Celine sneaks out to Jean’s village to get tea, but how does she disguise her hair roflmao.
Jean paralogue was really easy but I lost a villager to a flier ‘cause nobody would heal them.
-Framme Vader C: Framme’s screwing up her chores again, Vander is still serious and devoted. Wait, this is the same chore he was talking about in their C support which was ages ago. And again this support ended very quickly.
-Etie Celine C: They’re friends. Tea. Celine noticed Etie’s hand is trembling but Etie denies it.
-Louis Chloe C: Louis was spying on Chloe @,@ He’s rather shameless about watching people lol. So is Chloe.
-Training fight in Firene castle. I have to leave 1 person out. Lolsorry Boucheron, ya loser.
-Chloe finally managed to break Celine’s string of being MVP by waving the ridersbane around.
-Chloe Framme C: Chloe engages in her other character gimmick: she likes food. Framme being helpful is nice though. Oh uhm. Chloe’s taste in food is weird. I think she’d actually like Mythra’s... quisine. That said, Chloe’s passion about local foods is pretty endearing.
-Etie Clanne C: This one’s actually pretty cute. Clanne gives Etie a snack after she does a workout. She runs, yet she’s grown 0 speed and 4 consecutive levels of strength, heheh. Then again the only units she’d have doubled are armors so being slow is a wash as long as I just keep her safe.
That’s enough for now, but general thoughts;
The story’s kind of a joke so I’m mostly ignoring it. Gameplay’s QUITE solid though, I must say, and the Somniel activities are fairly engrossing and yet the Somniel is much easier to navigate than the Monastery was.
In terms of gameplay, Alear, Celine, Louis (seriously, kudos to IntSys for giving us an actually tanky armor knight again, that’s how you make the class good!), and Vander are my MVPs, Chloe, Clanne, and Etie can pull their weight just fine, Framme is basically just a healbot, and Boucheron and Alfred are waiting for their replacements so they can get benched.

Love is an Art
part 4
masterpost, part 3, part 5
short time skip of a couple days, now Talib and Kouto are doing the first extra session for figure sculpting. Someday when this thing is all done, I'll have to go revise it and fix everything lol but for now i don't mind leaving it a bit of a mess.
“Alright,” Kouto said to their reflection in the bathroom mirror. “First evening figure art session. Just you and the professor and that guy with the glass eye.” They leaned in and pointed at themself. “Do not make it weird.” They nodded and turned away, entering the bath nearby to wash their body. The lightning scars in their hands ached, some of them quite fresh. A few tiny static sparks jumped between their skin and the water. There was no time to soak and enjoy the bath. They washed their body quickly with a floral soap, leaving their hair dry as it was still in the tight bun they preferred to wear.
They dried off and put their clothes back on, carrying their bathrobe in a bag. The sky was still light, but the sun threw long shadows down from the trees, covering the forested campus in a lattice of shadows. Curiously, Kouto glanced around, trying to see if Talib was walking the same path to the pottery studio, but they only saw a few other students heading back to the dorm buildings or out to evening classes.
It was not the farthest building from the dorms, but the walk to the pottery studio was still long enough that the sky was tinged pink when Kouto walked through the door greeting professor Rutfang with a smile and a nod. They hurried over to the small closet in the corner of the room, but paused and turned around before entering. Talib was already set up at one of the tables, pulling the waxed bark cloth off of his sculpture.
“Oh, hello Talib. You’re early.”
“I came straight over from dinner,” he explained, “didn’t want to go all the way back to my dorm first.” He lifted his left foot, hooking it over the cross bar between the legs of his stool. Kouto nodded.
“Yeah, it’s a long walk. I’ll be out in a moment,” they said, entering the closet. It was a crowded little space, mostly shelves of small statues and geometric shapes that could be used as references for new sculpting students. Kouto set their bag down and stripped under the dim light, which was a simple clear glass orb etched with a glowing rune. Carefully, they folded their clothes into their bag and wrapped the bathrobe over their naked body, heading back out into the studio.
“Alright,” professor Rutfang said, “I’ll mostly just be at my own desk, I trust you two to stay on task. Talib, I’ll be coming by now and again to see if you need any help, but feel free to call me over anytime.” “Thanks,” he replied. Professor Rutfang nodded and went to her desk, taking out a notebook. Kouto smiled at Talib and dropped their bathrobe on the corner of the platform, sitting in the same relaxed pose they’d used during class, careful to align their hands and feet with the marks that were still in place. They blinked slowly, breathed slowly. Steady heartbeats trembled in their chest, echoing through their veins. The smell and taste of clay drifted into their throat and threatened to make them cough. Every little noise in the dusty room lingered in the ear, from the soft scratch of professor Rutfang’s pencil to the sharp tick of the clock.
Kouto could see Talib working in the corner of their vision, focused on the clay figure in front of him. He mumbled at the sculpture, frustration in his voice. Kouto risked a glance towards him, watching his hands press into the clay, reshaping it. He was beyond the range of Kouto’s eyes, his fingers blurring together, his many scars vanishing into his skin. Turning back to maintain their pose, Kouto’s eyes traced the soft outlines of the empty old tables in front of them. The tops were covered in rough canvas, stained from years of use. Blotches of pink and brown and pale gray mottled every table, showing the popularity of each color of clay. The pink stains left behind by the red clay were the most visible, but the pale gray left its mark over all the darker colors.
The same rough canvas covered the platform Kouto was sitting on, though the platform was far less stained and had a thin cushion beneath the canvas. It made for an uncomfortable seat, scratching their skin and putting pressure on their wrists. Still, it was more comfortable than ragged bark or a hard stone, and the thick pads of calloused skin on their rear made even the roughest surfaces easier to sit on.
“Probably ought to take a break,” Professor Rutfang called out from her desk. “Talib, I’m going to come check your work.” Talib leaned back with a heavy sigh. Kouto fetched their bathrobe and left the platform to get a drink of water. Their metal bottle kept the water cool even in the middle of summer, though it made their bag a little heavier.
“It’s so much harder to keep the pressure steady when I’m not using a wheel,” Talib said to professor Rutfang. Kouto remained by their bag, watching from a distance as the professor looked over the unfinished statue. She turned the board it sat on, viewing it from every angle.
“I don’t expect perfection on the first try,” she said, “this isn’t so bad, honestly. Try to fill your seams more though, this shoulder will crack open when the clay dries.” She gestured to the thin line in the clay. “We do have buckets of slip, you can always bring a bowl of it to your table to make this easier.” Talib nodded, brow furrowed.
“Thanks.” He stood up, leaning on his right leg. Professor Rutfang gave him a reassuring smile and headed back to her desk. While she returned to her notebook, Talib walked to the buckets of slip to get a bowl of the watered down clay.
“Excuse me,” Kouto said as Talib passed near them. He paused and looked over. “Sorry. I was wondering if you’d mind me talking while you work?” they asked, “it’s just that I’m not used to modeling for such an empty room, and most of the time I’ll be turned where I can’t see you, so…“ they trailed off, biting their lip. Talib tilted his head. “Sure, I don’t mind. Just don’t expect me to talk back.” He returned to his table to keep on his sculpture. Kouto sighed and smiled.
“Yeah, don’t worry, I’m just going to ramble into the empty air.” They went back to the platform and turned it a little ways, dropping the bathrobe to sit at the marks and stare out into the lifeless studio. “Suppose I’ll just talk about myself, I’m good at that,” they cracked a grin. Talib only replied with an absentminded hum. Kouto closed their eyes, settling into the more talkative mode they used at parties and other social events.
“So, I actually live in a town close to campus,” they began, “I like to visit my family on my days off. My siblings are all still home, but that’s not saying much when most of them are still kids,” they said with a laugh. “Okay, I’m sure Mori and Raisha would argue with me on that one, but they’re kids to me. I only have one older sibling; my sister Jane, and she decided not to attend university. She helps our mom maintain the community garden.” Glancing over their shoulder, they saw Talib was still very focused on his work, probably only half listening. “I’m adopted,” Kouto added as an afterthought. “We all are, except our youngest brother. And every single one of my siblings would tell you; I was a real pain to grow up with.” Talib let slip a breathy chuckle at that comment.
“Oh, I’m sure my older brother would say the same about me,” he muttered. Kouto looked up at the cedar plank ceiling.
"Hm, siblings are great like that. Ah, what else can I say. I didn't think this through. If I tell you too much about me, I won't have anything to say next time." They could almost see professor Rutfang in their peripheral vision, still focused on whatever she was writing down. "Doesn't matter much to me," Talib replied. "You could recite a whole lecture on the ecological importance of a spider if you wanted." Kouto laughed, the sound of their voice echoing off the stone floor and brick walls.
"Well I don't really know much about spiders, to be honest. They do look neat though. My youngest brother likes to catch them just to look at them a little closer. Spiders, beetles, ants… he caught a wasp in his bare hands once, I still don't know how he managed it." Talib responded with an amused hum, keeping his focus on the clay sculpture again. Kouto pondered for a moment, running through the small-talk scripts in their mind. “It’s so much easier to talk to people at parties,” they muttered with a sigh.
“I need a different angle,” Talib said, “alright if I just move the platform while you’re sitting there?”
“Oh, yeah, sure.” Kouto turned to see him stand and walk over, noting the limp on his left side again. Talib looked back at his sculpture, glanced over Kouto’s posed figure, and turned the platform so they were facing professor Rutfang. He nodded and returned silently to his seat.
“You can keep talking, if you want to,” he said, prodding the clay into shape. Kouto’s eyes couldn’t catch all the details of the sculpture at such a distance, but it looked like Talib was working on the legs.
“Right. Well, you know, I do have an essay I’m writing for art history. I told you before, I’m in Merrick’s afternoon class? I picked the art of the goblin revolution as my research topic. It’s pretty interesting to look at how it’s portrayed in art, depending on who made it.” They flexed their toes briefly to relieve tension in their foot. “And, you know, goblin art is just really cool. They do a lot of abstract work, but there are specific patterns to it. It’s like a whole visual language.” While they elaborated on the topic, Talib remained focused on his work. He forced himself to abandon the legs, still bothered by their uneven lengths. Looking up at the clock, he decided to finish the head as best he could. It was still just a round lump. He pressed the lump into a more even shape, pinched the chin and nose out from the clay while pressing in to make dents for the eye line.
“There’s a particular figure that shows up a lot in artwork from the area where the revolution began,” Kouto explained. “A white figure with a lunar crown over their head. Records suggest it’s a protective spirit or deity.” They laughed “ It reminds me of this old goblin in my home town. She’s from that region too, and she’s got an uncommon genetic condition. I think it’s called leucism? Her skin is white and her ears are pink. Well, gill frills, actually. She’s part of a more aquatic subspecies. Anyway, she’s fun, maybe I can go ask her more about the art I’m studying, since she used to live in the same region.”
“Hour’s up,” professor Rutfang interrupted, “Talib, let me see what you’ve got.” She walked over, and Talib leaned back to let her inspect his work. He fidgeted with his fingers, ignoring Kouto as they watched. Professor Rutfang nodded. “It looks fine. This assignment is meant to be simple and a little unfinished, so don’t stress over the flaws, alright?” Talib nodded in reply. “Good. I’ll be giving everyone more detailed advice in class tomorrow.” She tapped her hand on the table and walked back to her desk. “You can both go now, have a good night.”
“Thanks.” Talib used a sponge to gently dampen the sculpture before putting the waxed bark cloth over it again. Kouto stood up from the platform, pulling their bathrobe back on. They hurried to the closet, dressing themself carefully in the small space and folding the bathrobe into their bag. When they came out, Talib was packing his tools away, having already moved his sculpture to the shelves.
“Hey, since we’re heading to the same dorm buildings,” Kouto said, “do you mind walking together?” They walked up to him, smiling. He shouldered his bag with a shrug.
“Sure, doesn’t matter to me.” He moved for the door, Kouto following. The sky was dark, clouds blocking the stars, but the rune lamps along the pathways cast their gentle light over the pair, guiding their steps. Kouto stayed at Talib’s right side, so he could see and hear them.
“I noticed you were wearing a different eye today,” they mused. “And the other day, when we met on the way to classes. How many do you have?”
“Not as many as the collection I left back at home,” Talib answered. “I only brought my favorites.” A small smile tugged at his lips. “I don’t even remember the last time I wore a normal one, honestly.”
“Well, why would you? These artistic ones are much more interesting.” Kouto tilted their head to get a better look. They’d only noticed that the eye had been a different set of colors each day, but as they focused on it, they saw that the pattern of the colors was different too. Talib slowed his pace for a moment, turning to give Kouto a slightly better angle.
“I get nervous about having people stare at it,” he admitted. “I didn’t realize how much being at this college would bring back my old worries. Back home, I’m a lot more confident.” Kouto nodded, turning back to watch their step instead of Talib’s face.
“I get that. One of my younger brothers has a similar problem. He’s so shy, but when he gives people a chance, he’s actually alright at making friends. Most people never comment on his scars.”
“Hm. You’ve got some interesting scars yourself,” Talib glanced over the thin sprawling lines on Kouto’s skin. They laughed.
“Yeah, I sure do. But how about you don’t ask me how I got them, and I won’t ask about yours?” Talib smirked.
“Tired of telling the same story over and over, or tired of having to make up new stories just to mess with people?”
“Both.” Kouto and Talib laughed together, filling the silence around them. The air was chilly, but the space between them felt warm and comfortable. Kouto kept glancing over, keeping their pace slow as they committed Talib’s appearance to memory. Every scar on his arms, up to his neck, vanishing beneath his clothing and gloves. The way he tilted his head down as he walked. Even the limp in his stiff left foot.
Talib’s glance caught Kouto’s now and again, making them blush. He appreciated the way they kept their pace slow, allowing him to keep up without any trouble. They hadn’t asked, but he knew his limp was hard to miss after a long day. Watching ahead of them, he realized they were already approaching the split path between the dorm buildings.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said, “thanks again, for doing the extra sessions. I appreciate it.” He turned away, smiling back at them with a small wave. Kouto’s ears perked up and they paused to wave back.
“Goodnight!” they called out. Talib’s figure went blurry as he walked further and further away, fading into the shadows. The night air felt cold again. Kouto shivered and jogged to their own building, regretting their earlier choice not to wear a jacket.

Helloooooo :D
I’m making a bunch of ideas for our pookies + my ocs to compensate for the loss of all my notes that had all my ideas for different aus I made 😭
So have some Daisey and Eddie ideas from the High School Angst au (I NEED A NEW NAME FOR THIS AU ISTG IT CANT JUST BE THE HIGH SCHOOL ANGST AU)
They used to dance together often, maybe their parents put them in after school dance classes or something
Daisey stopped dancing after they broke up/stop being friends, and they never really danced until they made up and had a whole moment of dancing again :,3
The first time they hung out one on one after they made up, it was so awkward it hurt
Eddie tried to initiate small talk, Daisey just told him in the nicest way they could to please shut up and watch the movie (they went to the movies)
Daisey’s friends were hesitant about Eddie, but most of them didn’t really care/mind. The only person who really did not like this was Holly, but she got worn down by Wallace and eventually let him hang around
Daisey totally hangs around in the shadows, it always looks like Eddie’s talking to a wall from afar when he’s talking to them
Julie definitely befriends Daisey when she sees them hanging around in the shadows, immediately trying to bring them out and talk. Daisey isn’t that big of a fan, but they tolerate it because she seems to genuinely like them
Idk if FlowerShop happens, but it they do interact sometimes I think
This au doesn’t have a set time period, but I have a lot of 80s and 90s inspiration, so I’m putting it in like the late 80s to early/mid 90s
Also I’m definitely making a Monster High aus for my ocs cause I’m hyperfixating on the dolls and the movies rn
I also don’t know if DearDollops should happen in this au but it’s a possibility since they have the whole “having crushes on each other but not realizing it and believing it was unrequited” arc
Daisey’s crush was a lot more known/apparent (Eddie didn’t know he liked them like that until they were gone), but it was still mutual
They’re both collectively stupid. Like- they’re both very intelligent, but they’re really stupidly oblivious at the same time
Apparently one of Eddie’s favorite songs was Rockin Robin, so Daisey’s favorite song in this au is Everything She Wants by Wham! cause I love that song
Daisey legit just listens to any song ever. It can go to Metallica straight from to Dolly Parton
In the main au, it’s probably either Jolene by Dolly Parton, or Dancing Queen by ABBA
Eddie definitely experiments with his style after he befriends Daisey again, I can see him dyeing a strand of his hair to experiment but washing it out almost immediately cause he’s scared his parents would be mad
Honestly Daisey’s voice headcanon in this au is just Twila from Monster High (G1 specifically, G3 for the main au I think I’m still not sure)
She fits their personality’s aesthetic perfectly like it’s not even funny she’s just them
I’m silently suffering cause I can’t remember some of the au ideas I wrote down so I’m trying to remember so I can note them down in a journal or something
Also I made Lizzy a gf but she needs a name so I’ll make that its own post when I figure that out
Have a good rest of your day/night, Dizzy!
It’s nighttime so I’m gonna sleep soon lmao :D
My brain says they did ballet together! mostly because Eddie doing ballet lives in my brain <3
hhhh yeah I can Feel the awkward. a movie is a good idea tho,, no need to talk!
Ok I read "Daisey totally hangs around in the shadows" and went It's giving Twila ✨ and lost it when I got the bottom lol. G1 Twila my beloved,, g3 Twila my other beloved

It was in the water.
Alyssa called a plumber in the first time she saw it. Black liquid thick as motor oil spewing from the faucet. It splattered in the bowl of the sink but didn't go down the drain. Instead it lingered, Alyssa studying its appearance, feeling strangely compelled by it. It soaked up the kitchen light, reflecting nothing but its blackness. It seemed to vibrate there, an unearthly twitch in its composition like it was responding to Alyssa's presence. She forgot to breathe.
When she regained her senses, Alyssa washed the black something down the drain, thankful to find water spill from the faucet again. When the plumber checked the pipes he said that all of these rentals near campus had been converted from old country houses, many with the same old copper plumbing. "All kinds of gunk could be backed up in those pipes," he said. But the mystery deepened when he got into the basement and found that the plumbing had been completely torn out and replaced sometime in the last decade. Alyssa hated the way he looked at her as she insisted that she'd seen what she saw.
"Hey," he said. "Between you and me? I've gotten a few calls like this lately. You want my theory? I think Futurum's putting something in the water."
Alyssa wasn't interested in conspiracy theories. She needed a real answer.
She shared the bizarre incident with her friend at work the next day. Julie, a professor of biology at CSU, was fascinated by the description of the black water, but she offered few ideas.
"I'd love to study it," Julie said.
"I don't know," Alyssa replied. "It was so strange, Julie. It was like I lost myself a bit staring at it. Like I could feel it staring back into me. All I wanted was to reach out and touch it. To taste it, even."
"Well, definitely don't taste it," Julie laughed. "But hit me up if you see it again."
Their interaction was brief, Julie passing through to a class and Alyssa with an emergency one o'clock with a student looking to restructure their entire semester. They agreed to get drinks and catch up for real soon, then went their separate ways.
Days passed. Alyssa didn't see the black water again but it was never far from her mind. One night she awoke to the sound of her phone buzzing on the night stand. She didn't know the number but it was from the Romero area code. The woman's voice was unfamiliar, but sounded softer than it should have been, her words were slow and deliberate, a small breath between each line.
"The Master has chosen you to carry its gift, Alyssa. Listen for its call. Accept its power."
"Who is this?" Alyssa blinked, still half asleep. "What are you talking about?"
"All life surrenders to the Master." A click on the other end, and the caller was gone.
The next day Alyssa received a strange text from Julie.
J: drink the water alyssa
A: What??
J: all life surrenders to the master
As Alyssa read the message from her friend, a crack formed in her mind. Unlike its other vessels, Alyssa didn't have to wait to hear the Master's voice—she had already been touched. It happened that day as she stared into the sink, watching the Master's form. Its vibrations bored their way into her mind until its truths were fixed like a tattoo on her brain.
How had she clawed back? A few vessels had shown resistance, but ultimately they all found their way to the Master. Because in the end, there was one truth above all.
Alyssa's phone bounced off the rug.
The Master didn't need to awaken Alyssa like the others. Perhaps she was a test to see just how powerful it was. A test of the one truth above all.
The black water was cold as Alyssa slid down into the tub, but it wasn't enough to pull her from the fugue.
The sensation was all still so new to her that she couldn't make any sense of the noise. But she knew that Julie was in there somewhere, she could feel her waiting to be fucked in mindless service to the Master.
As the transformation came to a close, Alyssa repeated the one truth above all: "All life surrender to the Master."

Gift Giving
batboys x reader
(A/N): I've had zero time to write between 15 hours a week of rehearsal, 20 hours of honors seminar work, other class, and my job so I apologize for once again being MIA.
Today is my birthday, though, so I found this reasonably relevant headcanon set (because I did not have time to write something like I wanted to) and I'm posting it as my gift to you. Enjoy <3
wc: ~600
warnings: none
~~
Dick Grayson:
He’s the easiest out of his brothers to shop for, mostly because he’s happy with anything as long as the person made an effort
He’s given quite a few gag gifts in his day, so if he gets any, he’ll take them good naturedly and laugh
If you make him something, he’ll absolutely adore it
And he sounds a little bit like a parent when he says that he adores everything you give him because it came from you, and you put in the effort to find something specifically for him, and that means more than anything
Literally, he’d be happy with a new pair of pj pants
But if you want to make him really happy, get him things that will improve his quality of life
Like buy him body wash you think he’ll love the smell of, something a little more pricey that he’d never buy for himself but would really want to
Jason Todd:
There are a few avenues you can go down when buying Jason gifts
The first is the literature route
You can either buy him a new book, a fancy copy of one he loves, or get something just a little decorative like a signed copy or a special dust jacket
The other thing guaranteed to be a hit is comfort items
He loves items that make him feel safe, so a weighted blanket or a fluffy blanket, or a new type of tea to try will make him so happy
Even better if you do something like a tasting box for the two of you to do together
You can do gag gifts with him, but you have to be careful a) not to go too far and b) because he can and will give as good as he gets and he is devious
Tim Drake:
Tim loves technology, so it’s smart to base gifts for him around that
Get him a new tool or a new device, or just something you found that you thought was awesome that he can tinker with
Anything weird and different he would find intriguing, and his face will light up when he thinks of things to do with new parts he’s never had before
He, like Jason, also loves comfort items
Get him fuzzy things like jackets or blankets
And consider something that heats up; he has poor circulation and gets cold easily, especially when spending all night in the batcave
(You could also indulge his coffee habit with more coffee, but honestly the best way to watch his caffeine intake is to drink coffee with him, so consider trying new types of coffee with him so he has to slow down and taste it)
Damian Wayne:
Damian likes utilitarian gifts, things he can use
It’s hard to shop for him sometimes because of this
What do you get for the person whose hobbies are weaponry and art??
Much of the equipment and art supplies he uses is too expensive for you to afford
You can get him gifts for his pets, though you have to be careful because he is particular
If there’s some new exhibit going on that you know he’ll like, get tickets (but be careful that he hasn’t bought them first)
Overall, the best idea is to pay attention
If he needs something, like a new glass to clean his brushes in, or mentioned a type of tea he was wanting to try, get it for him
Or if you notice something he needs and you can buy it, do so
Not only will it be something he would appreciate, it would let him know that you’re paying attention to him and what he likes, and every time he uses it, he’ll think of you

STICKY WASHING MACHINE | D.M
summary: draco fucks scorpius’ nanny on the laundry room
warnings: breeding kink, rough sex.
———
“so do you accept?” asked draco to the girl who only stared at him with mouth slightly agape. “i-i mean i guess” she replied, not meeting his eyes.
“see you on monday then” nodded draco and turned on his heel, walking away.
y/n really didn’t know how they ended up on the topic of her being draco malfoy’s son’s nanny. it really wasn’t much work, a three year old baby just needed attention, food and sleep. but still, me out of all people? she thought, why did i even agree?
but here she was, beaming at the sight of scorpius’ new drawing which consisted on draco’s exaggerated tall figure, y/n and scorp. she sometimes felt bad that astoria was never in the picture, in every sense. she had left draco after scorpius turned 3 months old and never came back, draco explained this when they first reencountered, apparently it never really affected him. considering it was an arranged marriage.
“wow baby this is so good, i bet you’re gonna be an artist some day!” you exclaimed at him. he giggled and turned pink but a loud yawn cut his smile off. “i think it’s time for your nap, come on” she said, standing up and dusting off her skirt, scorpius holding up his arms.
y/n settled scorpius on bed and he was asleep in seconds, she chuckled and just snuggled the blanket closer to him. her eye caught a peek of scorpius’ laundry basket. sure, she was just a nanny that was supposed to take care of the child and that was it, the clothes were the elf’s work. but scorpius was terrified of them so draco took care of his clothes, y/n decided to just take his clothes to the laundry room and throw them inside the washing machine.
as y/n made her way to the laundry room, draco came through the fireplace that was at the whole other wing of the manor, making y/n unconscious of his presence.
draco gave a big sigh and immediately entered the kitchen for a glass of wine, opening up the cabinet that had one of the bottles opened already, courtesy of draco’s previous stress.
he knew scorpius must be asleep, taking notice of the silence that resonated through the manor’s atmosphere. in his midst of thinking, a few drops spilled from the rim his cup when he inclined it too harshly, making them spill on his white shirt. draco gave a groan at this and threw his head back.
narcissa always told draco that it was better to immediately wash clothing items if he ever spilled something on them. so he grumpily made his way to the laundry room.
as he got closer he could hear shuffling of clothes and a low humming, eventually stopping at the doorway to catch sight of y/n bent over, placing small clothing items into the washing machine. he went wide eyed at the peak he caught of her lace pink panties, cunt perfectly outlined.
draco was frustrated, sexually more than ever. he always found y/n hot, even in hogwarts, he remembers having a huge crush on her during fourth and fifth year, but they never really talked except for the polite hello’s and brief conversation when they were partnered in class.
right now, all the past emotions were coming back. and he wanted nothing more than to fuck her like he never did to a woman before. for hours and hours until she turned into nothing but a blabbering mess.
y/n eventually straightened up and went to pick more clothes, but she was met with a paralized draco on the doorframe.
“oh- hello draco, i didn’t know you were back” she saluted politely, going back to scorpius small basket that was placed on top of the dryer.
draco was snapped out of his trance at her voice, he swallowed hard before responding, “evening, just came to- uh put this in the washing machine” he gestured to his shirt, making her look at his chest but eventually trailing down to his very apparent bulge.
he saw how her eyes went wide but she said nothing and just gulped and nodded, gaze not meeting his.
the laundry room really wasn’t that big, making it hard for draco to pass y/n to go to the washing machine that was placed next to the dryer. but he still came in contact with her. his clothed cock pressing perfectly into her ass, a small gasp escaping her while draco grunted at the friction.
they both stilled.
y/n was the first to turn around, groin now pressing into her front, he was breathing heavily. and like magnets they connected together, tongues exploring each other’s mouth. draco’s hands rubbing her ass, down until the back of her thighs were in his large hands. he tapped them lightly, signaling her to jump, which she obliged instantly and jumped, draco hoisting her onto the washing machine.
he disconnected their lips to travel down to her neck, a small whine escaping her when he found her sweet spot. draco absolutely devouring the skin and littering it with purple hickeys. he eventually pulled away to take a good look at his little piece of art.
y/n brought him back into a heated kiss while unbuttoning his shirt, his own hands finding way to the hem of hers. once he shrugged off his shirt he helped her pull hers off, throwing it onto the floor. he pulled away from the kiss once again to look at her soft mounds that sat perfectly in a bra, he groaned at the sight as his cock twitched on his trousers.
“can i take this off sweet thing?” he asked, tone low as he hooked a finger on the bra strap.
y/n eagerly nodded, draco wasting no time and unclasping the bra in a quick motion, disregarding it to the side, mouth immediately attaching to her nipple while his hand toyed with the other. she gave a moan at this breathing heavily and leaning back on her palms, panties soaked and pussy throbbing.
draco kissed his way down to her stomach, dragging her skirt down until it hit the floor. he stepped back and admired with pure mesmerization at y/n’s form, tits with perked up nipples, dampened panties and breathing hard. “look at my pretty princess” he said, unbuckling his belt and lowering his pants low enough so his dick popped out.
she went wide eyed for the second time that evening at his size. draco was much bigger than anyone she had ever been with and he was just a very big person in general, she wasn’t sure she could take him all.
draco stroked his cock up and down slowly, tip red and leaking with pre-cum. he got closer to her and moved her panties to the side, eyes glinting when he saw her bare cunt, dripping.
“so wet baby” he said as he passed two fingers over her folds, y/n shuddering while he brought them up to his mouth and hummed at the taste, watching her face heat up.
“taste so good too” he growled, inching his face closer to her and leaning their foreheads together while his fingers plummeted themselves slowly into her, a loud moan escaping her lips.
he started moving them at a slow pace, almost torturous. watching intently as she released small whimpers and moans, his cock twitching every now and then.
he started scissoring his fingers inside of her, going faster. “ah! yes draco right there” she moaned out when he curled his fingers, touching that spongy spot inside her. “yeah? think you can take my cock now?” he questioned.
“yes” she replied quickly, pussy clenching at the thought of having him inside her, finally.
he seemed to notice this and chuckled, removing his fingers and dragging them to his cock once again, coating it with her juices. he guided it to her entrance and drenched the tip with her arousal, making y/n buck her hips up and whine.
“sh sh sh, now be patient little girl” he warned, fingers lightly tapping her clit, making her jolt and quickly shut up as she waited in anticipation.
draco entered y/n slowly with a groan, a strangled moan leaving her throat. he let her adjust to his size for a few moments before starting out on a decently fast pace, making her throw your head back and release several moans the faster he went, breasts bouncing everywhere, much to draco’s delight.
he settled for a brutal pace that had the washing machine shaking, watching her eyes go crisscross when he reaches to rub her clit.
“fuck baby look at this pretty pussy squeezing me, so fucking tight” he groaned, looking down at her juices dripping out, thighs glistening. “you have no idea how many times i’ve dreamt about this” he said, voice strained. she hummed in pleasure as she wrapped her arms around his neck and brought him down to another steamy kiss, he greedily ate every moan she made, her legs starting to tremble.
“fuck baby im close” he said when she pulled away for breath. “me too!” she replied, his thumb assaulting her clit harsher.
“yeah? gonna cum all over me? and then let me put my fucking cum inside you until your fucking pregnant?” he teased, moving his hands to grip her ass, y/n gave a loud moan in response and rapidly nodded, orgasm right at its peak. “fuckfuckfuck yes draco!” she screamed as she came, legs completely shaking and letting that coil snap while he fucked her faster, riding out her high while chasing his.
“shit, gonna cum so hard inside you and give you my kids princess” he groaned, his thrust sloppy when his orgasm hit him, releasing a loud moan as he came.
after they both calmed down from their highs he sighed in pleasure and looked down to her puffy cunt, he pulled out slowly and watched as her pussy spurted out both cums. he collected some on his fingers and held them up to y/n.
she opened her mouth and kept eye contact as she sucked on them, humming at the taste like he had done previously, making his once soft cock perk up immediately. she was gonna be the death of him.
she giggled at his reaction and got off the, now sticky washing machine due to their arousal on it, leaning her top half over it and arching her back. draco’s mouth agape at the view.
“round 2?” she taunted.
but right as draco was about to fuck her into tomorrow, a small paddle of feet could be heard in the distance with a faint “daddy? y/n?”.
