If someone was to ask you what Gun's sense of humour is, it's dry, deadpan. With a whole heaping side of mean and sassy.

(Of course, you would never call Gun sassy unless you wanted to die.)

Like when he threatens someone with a stupid line, "who here will kill me," his eyes darting over to you - blink and you'll miss it, and you find it hilarious. A little shared inside joke because seriously, who even says that.

The savagery with Hostel you always remember fondly:

"No ambition, no determination, no will, no money?" You quote back to him.

"In short, losers." He completes, face remaining impassive, "It's true."

Gun smirks and you laugh outloud.

Then that time you found Gun and Goo both playing poker in their underwear, with Goo's cards clearly reflected in his sunglasses.

And how he ended in a bathhouse with a goddamn monkey, you don't know. The ridiculousness of it made you laugh yourself sick.

Nevermind all the accidentally funny stuff.

How Gun doesn't get any memes you send him, his confusion and annoyance making it all the more amusing.

How he has absolutely no issue breaking every other law but hates driving over the speed limit.

How he barely gets new tech, threatening Kouji to help out. And no matter how much Kouji calibrates it, no voice recognition ever understands what Gun says.

How he can be the pettiest person ever, hiding Goo's beloved swords when he pisses him off too much until it ends up with someone nearly getting their ass whipped.

Hand on heart, you think Gun is hilarious.

And you tell the rest of the group so as they look on at you strangely.

As if proving a point, Gun leans over and whispers into your ear, "Remember when I pushed Goo down the stairs? Want me to do it again?"

And you break into a fit of giggles.

I was thinking about a scenario wherein Gojo Satoru always had the impression that reader hated his guts because they always bicker even at the pettiest of things. But one day, Satoru overhears reader gushing about having a crush on him (reader could be talking to Geto/Shoko/both etc) and they keep rambling about how much they like him and all. Meanwhile, Satoru's just 🧍‍♂️leaning by the doorframe with the biggest smug grin on his face (he actually secretly likes reader back). How it ends is entirely up to you if you'd take this request hehe

hi it’s me again (symbolism anon) this time to yell at you/with you about how absolutely HILARIOUS the inchident is to me. like, regardless of the original video in all its vine core glory, the background story behind it is legitimately so so funny. the fact that they were both being track menaces (fork found in kitchen) pushing each other on track, i can easily visualise. but then enter babyface!charles being a menace pushing max off track AFTER max had already won the race into a puddle of water. i emphasise on this, because in an interview charles says the water was “probably arriving at his hips” and that is what’s HYSTERICAL to me, the fact that he pushed his opponent out of pure pettiness into a huge puddle only to then shrug it off on camera as a simple incident.

best part of the whole thing: they were both disqualified from the race after. legendary origin story of you ask me, and again without even touching on their perception of the inchident now. (again, I could go on.)

oh again i ENCOURAGE you to go on ...

listen the inchident gained fame for funny pronunciation and bieber-hair, but it is so much deeper. the fact that there had been overtakes on track that charles deemed unfair (even max said in that one quote how it was "a bit defensively" which in fairness we all know means he drove a bit like a maniac), the fact that charles pushed him on track before, overtook him, had a battle of gestures on track too (we know max was already fuming by that point and charles was already petty by this point) and then max winning? taking the lead back and charlie pushing him off?! AFTER the flag? into a puddle? the pettiest move ever made in the history of men?

there is something so absolutely hilarious about charles being the casual little menace that he is, shrugging it off, seemingly getting away with it to a point because yep he got disqualified BUT SO DID MAX so no win taken from him. cause max has always been the one to beat. even to this day, the way even bryan tends to give him max' lap times (and yes he is leading the championship so i get it in theory blablabla but still), the way it is still all about beating max.

it is hands down also why i think max over the years learned how to race charles. i think it is max who has matured, truly. like yes charles is a grown man now too and probably will take less risks to a degree but i think the reason they did not crash or pull more insane moves is mostly MAX maturing. as in i have no clue what conversation went down post austria 2019 but i am certain whatever charles unleashed on max put the fear of god in that man cause he did not pull something like that after, not to that capacity and i truly think it's cause max understands one thing about charles: he WILL rather end both their races than lose out to max. he WILL not hesitate to send them both flying and he will be absolutely unhinged battling max the way he always has been.

Third part of my Pearl Double Life pov rewatch/ analysis.

Episode 5. Reunion.

Session 5, finally, Pearl and Scott working together again and it doesn't really look bad, like they act way more calmly then I expected them to. Like, Pearl's ends session 4 on absolute low and yet... She's ok? She's there with Scott and Cleo making jokes about other people and not being mean to eachother whatsoever. All antagonism in this section is done by Pearl in the form of slightly suggesting they aren't friends in front of BigB and even then she's not even being serious about it. She has gone full circle, lost her mind so much she's back to normal or something... And then she goes manic again but it was nice while it lasted.

And then Scar comes again, this time with cactus, and Pearl despite being completely chill with Scott, the pettiest member of the life series, at this point in time and she still jumps onto cactus. Not even for Scott, not really, I don't think she even tought of him during the whole thing. She literally jumps on the cactus for fun and no other reason whatsoever.

And the thing is Scott and Cleo haven't called Pearl insane in the whole session, earlier Cleo called her "ultrasonic" over saying she's insane. They are clearly trying to not use that specific word around her for her sake. And when he tells Grian and Scar to leave he corrects himself and tells Pearl to make them leave, ultimately giving Pearl the final say. But Grian and Scar don't really care, they play it up, it is the perfect plan because "no one wants to deal with Pearl's insanity" and only then does Cleo use to word and they do so only to say that they have.

While Scar and Grian use Pearl's insanity as a way to scare off reds... Trying multiple times and then ditch her... Scott and Cleo bring her aside and give her enderpearls to give her a chance to escape. Sure It's strategic since Scott and Pearl share health but Grian and Scar are litterally horrible to her and nobody ever cares. Justice for Pearl!

Episode 6 p.1 Something wicked.

This session starts with a bit of espionage, I forgot about that actually... This rewatch is making me notice how I forgot about older series... Still there is surprisingly little Scott-Pearl interactions that are either negative or very positive... Except she says to the reds that Scott and Cleo wouldn't trust her and she's straight up lying about that because she just said that she has connection with them at all. Also she's really good at lying because to trow off suspicion she pretends they are there listening in when they are not as far she knows.

Also the red keep killing her dogs, she's not having a good time, she's having an awful time, she's so distressed she can't even be unhinged.

Episode 6 p.2 The End.

Voilà, they talk about it finally... and it doesn't do anything.

Why? Because they talk about it but don't communicate, they forgive eachother both of them keep the idea they had, they both believe they are fully in the right.

Scott still cannot seem to grasp how hurt Pearl and Pearl cannot see how going to the nether hurt Scott.

So they talk but no communication actually happens.

Still this brings me to Wild Life, Pearl makes sarcastic comments about Double Life despite her forgiving Scott at this specific point in time so uh alright... And then Scott dies and she with him. And she ditches him as karma, despite forgiving him.

Also, Scott suggests the Tilly death do us apart here. It's not something that he comes up with in the last confrontation. It's a thing he and Pearl come up together with at this specific point in time while they split off.

Finally half a session, the finale. I think there's not much to say that hasn't been said already. But neither of them expected to win, Scott choice is made in a rush because something he didn't expect happened and he just happened to have tnt. This could have gone so differently if he didn't. Some people say that "Tilly death do us apart" upon inspection doesn't really makes sense as a line but he didn't really have time to come up with a different one did he? Again, them winning was not expected. So he said something he and Pearl come up with at the start of the session and stuck with it.

My familiarity with west coast teams is poor apparently!! I'm soliciting/crowdsourcing ideas at this point.

I feel like we can go one of two ways:

Someone who is so sweet on Quinn, is a complete and utterly reassuring presence in his life, makes a mean pour-over that literally changes his life, and is someone Quinn for whatever reason simply can't imagine himself dating (they're too nice, they can't possibly like me?? they're too cool, they can't possibly be interested in me?? they're just a nice food industry worker, I gotta stop being crushing on them??) - but it's someone Jack, and by extension Trevor and Luke and Nico, adores and desperately wants Quinn to date

All of the above, except even though Quinn has all the hesitations he finds himself falling anyway, plunging right into the narrative in spite of his "play it cool" motto and reservations - and it's someone Jack absolutely cannot stand for the silliest, pettiest, most ludicrous reasons ever and needs Nico to physically hold him back from. Trevor thinks this is all hilarious. Luke is ambivalent. Nico didn't know Jack had that good of a sprint.

what i like: first of all he is ALSO fine as HELL- ahem. well. again aside from the fact that he's one of the finest gfs to grace this franchise. his brutality as ghostface hands down has gotta be my favorite thing. he was doing it all too like!!! charles lee walker THEE single mom who works two jobs who loves her kids and never stops. bc j*ll sure as hell was not helping that boy. but he was up at the crack of dawn staging crime scenes and making ghostface calls before the first bell of the school day even rang! and then somehow still had the energy and mf SPEED ig to practically teleport around woodsboro n keep killing people!! he absolutely decimated olivia for kinda zero reason (tho in record time gutting and all) but he did what is EASILY my fave kill of the entire franchise flawlessly. dare i say i like him better than the og-*i am shot*

what i don't: Man. does the way he died count. bc that is precisely it 😭 ig everyone's gotta have their Silly Goofy STUPID moments but charlie was op as all hell and then just let himself get stabbed + did the worm on the floor of kirby's kitchen + died there. and for J*LL????? HER???????? it's the one thing i can never get past. esp when it gets him stuck w the 'pathetic lovesick gullible lapdog' perception among the fandom but that's not even rlly a Him problem as it is an Everyone Else thing. also maybe the pettiest complaint ever but i cringe a little whenever he calls himself the new randy. because i literally cannot STAND ran-

honestly my pettiest hot take is that i think it’s Weird how many fics/popular headcanons depict zuko as being bad at making tea forever and i… Do Not like it. i mean, i will still read it if it’s otherwise a good fic, but trust that it has me considering clicking out.

we see zuko make bad tea one (1) time, when he makes it for iroh in bitter work after he wakes up from his unconscious state. and honestly, i think it’s the first time he’s ever tried making it on his own, since with servants at the palace, he wouldn’t have needed to. even on their ship, they had a cook who could’ve made tea, though realistically it was probably iroh more often than not. being bad at something the first time (and honestly, the first couple of times) you try it is par for the course. (and hey, the fact that he wanted to make tea, which he knows how greatly iroh values, for iroh to comfort him upon waking is still really sweet, even if it doesn’t go so great the first time.)

while we don’t see the day-to-day of their work in the tea shop in the lower ring in ba sing se, we know zuko is working there as a tea server every day, learning, and, hey, he keeps his job. later, we see zuko serve tea to the gaang and co, and while zuko says it won’t be as good as iroh’s (because he loves and misses him 😭), no one else has anything to say about it! the gaang is already lightly poking fun at him for his poor retelling of iroh’s joke, it wouldn’t have been hard to include. and if the show wanted to keep ‘zuko being bad at making tea’ as a gag, all they had to do was show a character or two making the same kind of face iroh makes in bitter work or trying to hand it off to someone else. but they didn’t! we even actually see teo take a sip with a mildly pleasant expression. and like, this isn’t even me saying i think he makes the best tea in the world, or even that it’s as good a iroh’s. i just don’t think he’s bad at it!

and we see him serving tea to his loved ones again in the earth kingdom in the finale and it’s the culmination of the part of his arc that’s about learning humility and to build healthier relationships and not self-isolate, to find peace and joy in little things. we see throughout the series that though iroh i’m sure loves tea for tea’s sake, he also uses it as a point of connection with people, and zuko is clearly trying to mimic that when he’s making an effort to bond with the gaang and later just to show love to his friends like! this is his way of trying to show love and affection in what comes to be maybe the clearest form of it he understands due to iroh’s influence. and the idea that he is bad at that makes me sad, but also, canon disagrees, so jot that down.

(also, if nothing else: iroh is there in that last scene. do we honestly think he’d let zuko make and serve the tea if it was bad?)

YIPPEE, A NEW COMMENT!!! Despite the fact that she got so many nowadays, she still liked seeing new ones come in, even if she didn't always read every single one like she used to when she'd first started her channel. It didn't really matter to her what the comment was- engagement was engagement! Negative comments were just as good to her as positive ones- actually, the former was probably even better. In absolute despair over the general Yomi opinions on everywhere I go. No, despite popular opinion he's not just mean for the sake of being mean. He genuinely believes that he's doing the best he can at keeping Kanai Ward stable/under control, and that he is the only person that is able to do it properly, whether that is actually true is debatable. Torture and corporal punishment is actually an effective tactic in lowering the ever so rampant crime in Kanai Ward to him, he's not sending people to their deaths every day just because it turns him on or something, but because that's his solution to all that. Is that a good solution, and/or does that make him a good guy by any means? No. But he doesn't do all that shit for no reason. Would he probably just end up making Kanai Ward even worse if he stayed any longer in power, whether he intended to or not? Yeah. Would he start blowing it up and shooting random people for shits and giggles? Um. No.

Is anybody gonna talk about how his incredibly weird but strong sense of justice is such a major part of his character and how he presents himself. His moral code makes him do things which are... deeply frowned upon by progressive individuals to say the least, but he does have a strict sense of right and wrong and does act accordingly to them so maybe if we all. I forgot what I was about to say like the whole thing. It was actually very sound. Oh goddamn it. Anyway as I was saying he constantly talks about justice and how it should look in nearly every scene he's in, he literally says that he can feel justice, like, he unlocked the fucking justice emotion. TW: mentions of bullying, suicidal ideation, and a toxic fangroup in the SPN fandom

This is all I’ll say about the recent revelations, and forewarning, a lot of swearing ahead:

I have a genuine question. Why is the Supernatural fandom as toxic as it is? Don't get me wrong, there are pockets of joy and wonder, forces for good, and a mobilization for worthy causes I have yet to see in any fandom except maybe that of the Our Flag Means Death fandom (albeit on a slightly smaller scale, and there’s quite a bit of crossover).

Like quite a few of you, I curated my own little chunk of paradise in this fandom in making three amazing, true friends (@anyreiart, @eyesofatragedy67, and @punk-is-notdead), and while I don't actively engage very much with the rest of the fandom, because it overwhelms me, the few times I have, have been generally good experiences. Has it all been sunshine and gay angel rainbows? No.

All of us have experienced negative things in some capacity. A rude comment on art or fanfiction, specifically in mine and Any’s case: a relatively well known fandom persona told people not to read the last chapter of one of our fics, and that was because that person didn't like a section of the last chapter. I’m sure that person justified to themselves that telling other people not to read someone’s work was some sort of, misguided warning, and all because that one person didn't like one part of our fanfiction. But I digress, we have seen the capacity for toxicity, but a lot of the time that has been part of the “ship war” discourse. Again, in our case, it was a brief negative interlude with a mod at the now closed SPN newsletter.

All water under a murky bridge, but the revelations of late are absolutely abhorrent. Fandom to me, as someone who has been involved in several fandoms for the past 22 years, has always been a safe space, especially as a neurodivergent queer person. I started at 17, in the fandom for the wizard boy series I won't say because of the TERF who shall not be named, but it was… not like this.

Now it's very possible that I didn't see as much (hell, I had no idea about any of this SHACgate garbage until this week because I don't really interact with folx much), but unlike now, during the wizard boy series time, I was very active, accepted into elite LiveJournal communities and while I was never a “BNF”, I got to share spaces with some incredibly talented people. And I do not ever remember the sort of discourse I have seen in the Supernatural fandom. Not even whispers of it. Ship wars have been and sadly probably always will be a thing, but this infighting, vicious, manipulative, cult-like shit? Nah, man, at least not as far as I saw.

A majority of us recently found out in the SPN fandom, and specifically among the Destiel shippers, multiple adults in some elite discord server, got involved in multiple bullying campaigns over the years and toxic, (and let's be honest) evil fucking behavior all over the simplest, or even pettiest fucking things. And what kills me, is a good majority of the orchestrators and primary toxicity peddlers, say they are neurodivergent, and/or queer, and/or disabled. That means, statistically, they themselves have probably been bullied at some point in their lives.

Yet they still chose to harass, block and ignore, “mean girls” burn-book fellow fandom folx, supposedly even their friends, all because "so and so told me to" or because they felt justified in doing so for whatever seemingly honorable reason. Many people who have come forward about their previous or prior involvement state their participation or silence in these campaigns was for fear of retribution or cancellation. Which to a degree is perfectly understandable, but in chasing the divine, these participants compromised their own values, and just because they used their fame for good a lot, doesn't really balance out how they used their fame for evil, too. Personally, I don't think it works like that.

But I'm not here to soapbox about the morality and ethics of their choices. Either they know they did bad things and are working toward undoing the damage and darkness, or they're going to continue to blame others and refuse accountability by releasing disingenuous apologies that essentially equate to, "He only gets mean when he drinks." Either way, that's between them, their friends and family, and their flying spaghetti monster.

No, what I’m genuinely confused about is why the toxicity in the SPN fandom seems so particularly… PG&E in Erin Brockovich about things. I mean, come on. Seriously? A bunch of grown ass adults bullying people, sending death threats, doxxing, harassing, pulling some high school bullshit, block and ignore tactics to dehumanize and traumatize people, some even to the point of suicidal ideation? I'm sorry, that’s fucking gross and this whole goddamn thing is fucking ridiculous. Especially if these perpetrators were bullied themselves at some point in their lives.

And don't get me wrong, with a history of loving problematic ships, I absolutely live for redemption arcs for villains, but the reality is, there needs to be a glimmer of goodness inside for that to work, and how any adult can think that sort of behavior is okay, or justified … I don't know. Some of the perpetrators may be past a redemption arc. Too far gone. In Ted Lasso (spoiler obvs) everybody got a redemption arc except for Rupert, and that was because he was irredeemable.

This behavior should be irredeemable, but that’s my personal opinion, and everyone is allowed their own. But I will admit, even my own opinion can waver. There needs to be a sense of sincerity in the first step, which is accepting responsibility and apologizing, hence why I don’t think every single person who participated is irredeemable.

I applaud the victims, those who were hurt, in finding the ability to forgive their bullies, and I also applaud those who have drawn strict boundaries. At the end of the day, the perpetrators are the ones who will have to live with the fact they chose to commit these acts and ruin fandom entirely for someone.

I don't care if it was all orchestrated by some mastermind lone wolf evil caricature of a Destiel shipper, or a select few wannabe Legion of Doom motherfuckers, your decisions are your own. Your choices were made, and when a friend told you that so and so was mean/bad/wrong, you attacked without a second thought, and why? Up until this past week, you were reaping the benefits of your elite status and living your best lives, enjoying your fandom experience. Maybe you felt safe and content with your ingroup, maybe you didn’t, but you were probably enjoying yourself. Now, how would you feel if someone did to you what you have documentedly done to others? Chased you off of social media, doxxed you, harassed you, made you feel unsafe when you unlock your phone? I won’t deny, to some extent, some of you probably have had tastes of those attacks from outsiders, but never from within, because you had the protection of your BNF cohorts. And luckily, for you, the majority of us don’t believe in bullying, so you’re never going to have to truly find out what that feels like, but I hope you think about it.

You know what happened when someone was mean to one of my friends? I stood up for said friend, while remaining calm and collected, then proceeded to block and be done with it. I didn’t reply or engage when their response turned vicious. The entire exchange was out in the open, on a public thread, and name-calling and gaslighting only ever came from one side, and it wasn't mine. I get the urge to be protective, I do, but did it just not ever occur that you can be protective of people you care about without resorting to bullying tactics? And if you have to commit these acts for fear you'll lose your fame, your place in a server, your "friend", then you've proven you don't care about people outside of what they can do for you.

A demon some of these perpetrators will need to exorcise if they truly want to learn and grow from this.

Anyway, I don't understand how or why that sickness of bullying to such a horrific extent thrived for so long in this fandom. And continues to thrive in other pockets of the fandom. Why? Why the fuck are so many adults in this fandom such childish bullies? And it's not even like we can blame it on the younger, newer fans, because they’re the ones that end up being the victim half the time from the looks of things. A bunch of quarter-life approaching middle-age folx caused this and proved that a little bit of fame in the wrong hands turns people into monsters.

For the perpetrators, I hope no one does to you what you have done to countless people in this fandom. And even more, I hope no one does to you what you did to your victims who left the fandom entirely. May you never understand that pain.

For all of their victims, I hope you find peace and I'm glad you came forward to put a stop to this madness. It was scary, and how many friends and followers the perpetrators have, this could have gone the other direction, and ended very badly. Thankfully it didn't, and hell, you got someone who never really participates or engages in fandom discourse to write a TLDR freakin’ Tumblr post about it. I am sorry for everything you experienced.

As for the rest of us? We’ve got a helluva lot of work ahead if we want to turn the Supernatural fandom into a true, safe fandom space. But I think this could be a good place to start.
