free my complex female character, she did the same thing as complex male characters but the fandom takes Any analysis of her actions/choices/motivations that doesn’t strip her of all of her agency in bad faith and claims that only misogynists would dare to critique the things that they’ve noticed in her character because she’s a woman, completely ignoring the over-presence of discourse about similarly traited male characters in their fandom.

#exhausted by people categorizing CRITIQUE. not even genuine hate just literally basic analysis of imogen’s character #as a) hate at all but b) misogynistic simply because… they assume the person like caleb and percy uncritically like #i love imogen and i love her because she’s riddled with complexity that gives reason for her to be unlikeable #the shit ashton says makes me want to tear out my hair and i could write analysis on why but they’re still one of my favourite characters #i enjoy caleb but watching him infuriated me because of his self interest which is a coherent trait of his but is a tiring one #similarly with percy of love his pretentious Smartest In The Room shit but sometimes it meant he treated others more poorly than necessary #but i’m not unpacking all of that just so i have some fandom mandated right to say that i think there’s an aspect of a female character #that is imperfect in the human sense #because like. i will continue to call imogen’s self interested until the world burns and the moon shatters. because she is.#the only reason her choice to do good is compelling at all is because the choice to do otherwise is so tangible #it isn’t a Mistake or Fault that she’s self interested. it’s by design #like. she reaches towards the storm in curiosity in her sleep. but then she fights back when she’s awake #that’s it #that’s the dynamic. that’s what’s compelling #but no ur right fandom. let’s instead all agree that imogen is actually just intrinsically good #and take away all agency and complexity and humanity from her #and instead slap a sticker of Morally Good and enjoy the caricature of her where she’s made to fit into the imagine of #the latest aesthetic ad for diarrhoea medication #imogen temult #critical role #inspired as always by dumbass twitter posts that i’m subjected to because of school n work #the worst part is i do like the laudna n imogen dynamic in the stagnancy where it is but so much of that fandom is so clear in their erosion #of both characters actuality to suit the picture of Ship Tropes #like fuckin. so much of imogen’s fanart in imodna making her fat which as a fat person great love to see it #not so much when it’s clearly to make her short n stout against laundas tall n lanky.#anyway

Okay went to Petsmart tonight and puppy was a hellion!!!!!! It went like

> take puppy outside obviously he has to poop

> okay it's 18:00 we need to buy kibble

> starts screaming halfway through the drive to Petsmart

> pull over at a park where there is a cop, a car with all the doors open, a random dog roaming on the creekside, and a flattened squirrel

> puppy won't poop

> okay the vibes here suck we're going to Petsmart

> puppy screams the whole way there

> get out of the car

> puppy pees like three times

> PUPPY WON'T POOP

> stand in the parking lot awkwardly for 15 minutes because I know puppy will poop inside if he doesn't go out here

I guess I just hadn't been drawing myself much there for a bit huh #As for that last one I swear I Promise I drafted this in September it's not a reference I'm just actually genuinely Like This lol #I didn't choose this life etc. etc. lol #From the top!#Burst of inspiration wherever could that have come from hehe <3 What could've happened in July that made me want to draw I wonder hehehe #Bit funny considering I fell off posting - not like the inspiration stopped! And what I Did draw was Very lol #I still have some of it in an ever-present photoviewer because I like being able to look at it at any point <3 #Still inspired! Still want to do more studies!! So pretty ♥♪♫#Sleepy thoughts - I had my Pkmn Diamond/SoulSilver field dex/guides for all of like two months and then they were packed up again #And this was Before the Pokemon burst! Sheesh sheesh #I love my field guide dexes they're so neat and well-made ahh #I have got a couple craft projects still back-burnered - those papercrafts to do with Pokemon are still on the list!#A little Pokedex-notebook is so fun.......And I have Pokemon stickers that I could put in it or on it......ah........#I do want to! I will at some point the energy will return to it eventually #Alright so the main course lol #Went fabric shopping for plushies because yes I Am determined to Make Thing! Another that's been a bit backburnered - but I will!!!#I do still really want to it's turned out pretty good for far :) But while I was shopping!!#We did the usual small talk thing with the store employee like ''Oh what are you buying this for'' that whole back-and-forth #So I explained that I was making plushies and needed the tear-away stabilizer to draw the embroidery outline on #In my head I was being very tempered because while /I/ know that I'm making a Max plushie not many people are familiar with him (wrongly so)#Lol #So we continued and he was like ''Oh cool I've made some patches with embroidery :)'' so I asked of what and he lead with CotL's crown #And then-#Look Zarla's work was Already on my mind with Max as my project I was in a Delicate Way already do you really expect me not to talk about it #The answer was no and he walked away with a Vargas recommendation in his pocket I hope he enjoyed it lol #And I got my fabric and started work on Max's face it's fine it all worked out in the end it's all good it's great lol #I Was encouraged to come back with my finished project so that's on my to-do once I get him in a presentable state haha
