act 1 :

- chettrip is real. at bucks party they were in the room together they were getting FREAKY.

- during that number when the cop interrogates cherry and paul at the top, it seemed like cherry and paul were fighting and paul like told her to stop talking

- melodys mic was UP in far away from tulsa

- during ggah soda was WHIPPING everyone with the towel IT WAS SO FUNNY

- also during fatdi when the girls sing “aint no better than time than” or their little sequence, trip jumped onto the tire and did like “a girly dance” to mock them heheh it was SO FUNNY

- ace still smacked sodas butt

- during fatdi marcia and trip were ALLL over each other. marcia gave him a hug from behind and didnt let go it was so cute

- chet and paul were chatting it up during fatdi

- bob seemed relatively happy during fatdi up until the end

- bob stumbled a lot more very drunk, so did trip they were good at playing drunk.

- when dally got splashed, trip mocked him and dallas PUSHED him to the ground and HELPP it was like paul yelled at trip to go in time out he yanked him up like a cat and pointed to the car HEHEHE

- cam brill was so AGGRESSIVE trying to snatch bobs jacket from cherry. she full on like stumbled backward. trip jumped in her face and she flinched.

- cherry opt up you guys. it was so fricken heavenly. she also added an extra riff oh my LORD IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL I SHOOK. paul was very angry

- paul didnt step on twobit today, he kneeled on his chest instead.

- the darry and dally fight was different than normal. instead of dally overpowering darry, darry pushed him ontop of the car and didn’t let up until sodapop pulled him down. that’s when he fell to the ground.

- cherry’s legs shook during jft like she was uneasy on her feet, clearly nervous.

- melvin dipp during the fire again dont play

- jordan jumping on darrys back at the end of hoods turned heroes HELP it was so silly hes so tall and lanky on top of him i tried not to giggle.

- oh i forgot to mention they changed the ace and twobit choreo during the drive in obviously because daryl cant lift someone way taller than him like that.

- during jft bev had her head on brills shoulder while he just held her.

- martrip wouldnt let go of each other and when marcia had to to comfort cherry, she gently plucked him off.

- melvin HELP melvin ran a little to keep up with sergei when they walked out in trouble.

- trip went over and massaged melvins shoulders. i wish they kept it how it used to be with sean jones where he points to ace, but i guess it made sense for this show (idk if they always do this) cuz aint no way in HELL trip would point to the boy whos 103748291 feet taller than melvin

- WATCHING MELVIN FIGHT JORDAN ACE WAS SO FUCKING FUNNY DTTM.

- either bob or trip (pretty sure it was bob cuz the socs were saying bob) like was practically in the audience. and their voices were so heartbreaking as they pulled him in it was a direct parallel of pony pulling johnny.

- oh goodness me pony’s voice when johnny went silent broke me. dont even. stroblboy is a amazing im sorry for ever doubting you

- ARAMIE IS THE DALLAS. he is my dallas i preferred him sooo much over josh boones dallas.

- he plays dallas much younger and looks younger like he was shorter than darry and all.

- his mic was messed up for the beginning of little brother but he still sounded phenomenal.

- genuinely his dallas portrayal is heartbreaking and he sounds so beautiful oh my goodness.

- during little brother i love watching the socs and greasers at the bottom and oh goodness cherry moved with like such pain you didn’t need to see her face to know it. i like to imagine the closer they are to the front is the more guilty they felt for johnny’s death so cherry being in the front had me drop a tear bruh.

- hoods turned hero the projection was lowkey cut off cuz COLE. IS TOO SHORT AND SO IS MELVIN BRUH. stupid dipp brothers.

- hopeless war had a few added riffs i believe. emma pittman is so amazing

- okay so during the scene where cherry gives pony johnny’s clothes, when she first entered here’s what i noticed. last time i saw it, sodapop was so much more hesitant to let her in, he was like “no you can’t—“ and walked over but this time he was so much more wrecked. like he and darrel both just replied with a soft “hi.” when she left his eyes followed her the entire time.

- darry’s voice when he said “we love you.” had me in SHAMBLES.

- when ponyboy saw johnny in the rumble oh sweet neptune.

- trip is directly in front during the rumble he looked so angry and so did melvin. when they do the last punches when they face the audience, melvin like threw gravel and shouted “COME ON” or something like that. proving my point about him and fighting.

synopsis: you have been close with gabi and isack for as long as you can remember, karting with them and traveling with them. you knew how in love they were with each other, but you missed the fact that you were just as in love with them and they were just as in love with you, if not more

author's note: for context on why we call them neongum, bear and i discussed it about how their racesuits, specifically isack's, looks like a pack of gum and (obviously) gabi's is neon green so yeah! neongum!!! also i kinda made is established!neongum without meaning to 😅

you were used to always tagging along with gabi and isack

you had for years and just because they wouldn't stop bickering or acting like an old married couple wouldn't stop that

well, maybe just a little because you started to feel left out and like a third wheel

they didn't notice you putting distance between you and them until a month or so later because they were too wrapped up in each other

then they feel really bad and try to make it up to you

you tell them it's okay and that you didn't mind

you convinced yourself for a while that they either: a) didn't want to be friends anymore with you, or b) that they were together and the feelings you thought might have possibly been there weren't

for weeks they try to make it up to you, both of them discussing how to make it up to you because they love you

they don't want to lose you ever

thats when gabi, ever the genius, comes up with the idea for a road trip

isack is down immediately because who wouldn't want to be in a car for hours with two hot men?!

he'd be crazy not to agree

especially since he's in love with both you (but him and gabi have a hard time showing you)

it takes some convincing and bribery to get you to agree

you were convinced they invited you out of pity

so you were hesitant to go because you thought you were imposing on their date

you ended up in the driver's seat, with isack and gabi in the back most of the time

they were chatting away and holding hands

you felt sick to your stomach, partly from jealousy and partly from guilt

once again, the two failed to realize what they were doing

half the time, they were talking and half the time sleeping

so for a good portion of the first few days you felt really isolated

which had you ovwrthinking™️ again

especially when you guys stayed at the hotels

they cuddled and you were on the opposite side of the room, closest to the air conditioning unit, crying to yourself

isack woke up one night to use the restroom and found you crying, on the phone with dino because he was like your brother

the next morning, isack and gabi talked about how to make it up to you and how to get better about showing how much they love you and wanted you in their relationship

you were out for a morning run and when you got back to the hotel, the boys had packed up theirs and your stuff and were packing up the car

this time, gabi was driving

and he kissed your forehead and apologized to you before opening the door for you

you climb in and were greeted with isack

he was getting pillows and blankets ready when he hugged you tightly and also apologized

they talked to you about how isack heard you last night, how bad they felt, and how stupid they were because they thought they were showing you that they were also, in fact, head over heels in love with you

you were stunned and broke down crying which panicked gabi and isack

you explained that you thought they just invited you out of pity

turns out the three of you are pretty dumb when it comes to sharing feelings

but, as it also turns out, you guys are seriously made for each other

so now, at rest stops and gas/petrol stations, you guys take turns driving and getting snacks

isack, however, insists on always being in control of the music

there is still bickering, but you realize that when they do it with you, it's loving

gabi knows how to flirt somewhat, still a bit iffy but isn't as bad at it as isack

isack who literally cannot flirt to save his life

kind of funny to you and gabi (which you tease isack about all the time) since he was literally born in paris

to that, isack just sticks his tongue out at you two

but it's not like you are any better at flirting

you are oblivious to it and for the most part, up until this point at least, thought people were either being nice or felt bad for you

the rest of the road trip, you three squeeze onto the hotel beds, isack in the middle, gabi almost starfished on one side and you trying to keep and arm over the two of them all night

it's a very difficult task since gabi, i feel, moves around a lot in his sleep

and isack is like a rock and won't budge

hes also a heavy sleeper and seriously will only wake up to use the restroom

meaning he is either climbing over you or gabi, but gabi is also a heavy sleeper so he doesn't seem to notice

you always wake up when one of them moves out of bed or in bed because you are a light sleeper

the first night you slept with them and isack went to use the restroom, you had a panic attack because you were scared

gabi made sure you were okay and put on some background noise and told you you would get used to isack leaving to use the bathroom

isack was confused when he saw you were now in the middle but didn't question it and just climb back into bed and fell right back to sleep

the road trip is ten times more fun now that there isn't any tension (well, except for a bit of sexual tension)

you guys were on the road for like two weeks, just visiting different places and having dates practically everyday to make up for lost time

no one is surprised by night three of you guys being together you hard launch

dino literally texts you and says "told you you dumb fuck"

you just laugh and show your boyfriends who laugh but are also sheepish about it at the same time

for the longest time before the road trip, paul and dino (our favorite boyfriends!!) were conspiring to get the three of you together

paul did most the work on isack and gabi since he seemed to spend a lot of time with them on podiums and such

while dino of course worked on your end

those attempts ultimately failed and they almost gave up

dino was the one to give you the final push to go on the road trip

gabi and isack put together a gift basket for dino and paul after that to thank them for their endless attempts at putting you guys together

the road trip ended with them offering to help you move in with them and you immediately accept

they help you pack your apartment and move in with them

once you are unpacked and settled, you guys finally do it

i feel that f has a way of calling out a that no one else does. f will not bs a and as much as they love them refuses to tolerate a's nonsense [i love bff f on a route. heck i love f in any a route. because the detective is their friend and doesn't deserve these shenanigans. but WHAT IS MORE, f will a lso be like 'and you deserve to be happy too, a'. which 🥺. bc calling out doesn't subtract from care].

im fairly new to comics and i was looking at your elektra stuff and you mention wolverine a few times. what is their connection about? how do they know each other?

oh my favourite subject!!!!!

they first met in wolverine vol 2 when wolverine was in one of his beserker episodes and stick put elektra onto him to pull him out of it. they started training together how stick trained elektra. she notes herself how much they have in common and how she understands him in terms of his anger more than most can. she's hard on him but there's a lot to be said about how she doesn't judge him for how he is or what he's done or how he got there, she just re-teaches him the difference between mindless killing and killing for a purpose and doing it with skill and dwelling on your trauma vs using it. some of the ugliest wolverines youve ever seen in your life but one of my fav moments

coming out of that, there's elektra and wolverine: the redeemer. my one of my favourite comics ever that isnt actually a comic. again , heavy with the themes of redemption and whether or not it's possible or desirable for either of them.

they go back to one another's home countries. logan takes her camping in canada and she takes him back to greece to see what's left of her home which she hasn't done with ANYONE, not even matt

then there's elektra vol 1 where i just like the casual/normal nature of their friendship. he shows up to give her a ride on his bike and then gets protective because of the guy she's seeing, he knows she's out of her depth wrt romance and is worried about her, he knows she doesn't like cut flowers, then he goes to fight the new love interest just to make sure he's good enough for her

then one of my other favourites!! enermy of the state/agent of shield where wolverine is once again not in control of himself. a common theme in wolverine comics actually. elektra is working w shield and wolverine is possessed by the hand who are working w hydra. which is naturally a bit of a sore subject w elektra. she's... kind of on side with shield for logan's sake, imo. she very clearly has no loyalties to them and makes a point of saying you kind of deserve this

the hand sends logan after matt and his thought process the whole time is like wow you really fumbled this girl AND you're a whore. massive L. and this is whilst he's possessed by the bad guys. bestie behaviour. anyway, the hand kill's elektra again which was her plan all along, because she knows theyre going to raise her from the dead as their puppet BUT she's immune to their fuckery because theyve tried it all with her before, so basically she's back with logan, they all think she's possessed, but she's not. she's there to get her bff.

the two of them kill an entire helicarrier full of shield agents. wolverine not in control of himself, elektra just willing to make sacrifices. referred to as the blackhawk incident. to me, its just another thing that bonds them and another atrocity that neither one judges the other for when everyone else in their lives are slightly more morally upstanding. the both of them just know what it takes. stuff happens, wolverine comes back to himself and turns up to hand/hydra hq to kill them all when elektra telepathically tells him she's gonna help him. they kill another large amount of people together

secret invasion happens, which is an absolute shit show for elektra when she gets replaced by a skrull. they take the form of both matt and logan to take her off guard which says a lot imo. and when she escapes the skrull, logan is the one who gets her and helps her get back on her feet. the whole question of this book is whether or not elektra was a skrull when she helped with the blackhawk incident. spoilers: she wasnt but logan still does not judge her in the slightest which is SO important for her considering her only other support in her life is matt who constantly judges her for what she does

in savage wolverine, elektra shows up at avengers tower and logan drops everything to go with her and help her and i think this team up for them explains their relationship SO well so i'm just gonna dump the whole page

to me, 'being with her feels a hell of a lot like being alone' is the biggest statement to make in terms of how comfortable you feel with someone, and considering the both of them are loners at heart, idk i just think its a huge deal and i love that for them

tl;dr i just think theyre so fucking neat. they both have a history of being controlled and used and exploited and the things that theyve done because of that can't really be understood by anyone else.

elektra has NO supporting cast other than matt and a key part of her and matt is that they can never see eye to eye and neither can ever budge from their perspective because that's who they are. but with logan, she doesn't have to worry about that. he takes her as she is and trusts that she has good reason for doing whatever she does. and logan has SUCH respect for her abilities. he always waxes poetic about how good she is and how she could easily take him if she wanted to

logan has a few likeminded ppl surrounding him but for the most part, he's surrounded by heroes and literal children. so with her, he gets to be a different version of himself that he sometimes has to keep in the closet. they work SO well together because theyre just so similar. they know what the deal is without having to ask and its just so satisfying to watch from the perspective of an elektra stan. i just want someone to support her unconditionally and GET her and logan absolutely does

thoughts on eddierose?

my eddierose thoughts are very similar to my jayrose thoughts tbh! i think theyre so much fun together and i love seeing them show up but i like them better as friends

their dynamic when they first show up in tt03 is soooo much fun bc <3 theyre both so insecure about their place on the team so they band together and become ride or die and its so sweet. rose thinks that she doesnt belong on the team but as soon as she perceives a threat against both of them she jumps to eddies defense <333 theyre so cute

its so much more interesting to me when theyre just friends because at this point neither of them really have any other friends. theyre both going through really rough periods in their life (eddie's aunt died, his mentor abandoned him, and he sold his soul to the devil. rose just left slade and is still struggling with who she is) and they latch onto each other because theyre the only ones they feel like they can trust :''') eddie never knew rose when she was with slade which she likes because she hates the version of herself that was being drugged but no one trusts her because they saw her. but eddie didnt and he knows that she was being drugged when it happened so he trusts her <3 they both just need someone to be there and actually care and thats what they are to each other!!!! to me it loses some of the impact when its romantic because its a very meaningful friendship to both of them

however. smoking scene my beloved. this is the most iconic thing anyone has ever done shoutout straight people

AND. GOD. my favorite of all time is when eddie gets hurt and rose loses her shit and tries to fight everyone

i cant really see them as romantic together just because their relationship is so much more fun when theyre just being friends instead of when they start pushing for more romantic stuff. at the beginning theyre kinda like a team of the two of them and its so sweet :') theyre constantly looking out for each other and hanging out together when no one else is and its so much fun to me ! even during this period that johns was setting up a future romance but in my head they were just friends and it was great

also omg. the issue where rose is accused of being a traitor and eddie immediately goes "ur wrong actually! thats my bff and she would never do that" <3333 i love this issue because no one actually believes rose would do that but i looooove eddie's reaction because he never doubts her and never stops believing her because! thats his buddy who talks shit about her dad 100 times a day! and he knows her well enough even after such a short time of being on the same team <33

anyways. as much as i stand by mckeever's rose later on i haaaate what he did with eddie & rose. first of all if youre not reading it as her being a lesbian, the shit with "rose is pretending to be friends with blue beetle to make eddie jealous" is so fucking stupid. she suddenly starts acting like she doesnt give a shit about eddie and constantly ignores him which is completely different than what she was doing like 5 issues prior. then eddie is also completely obsessed with her??? like its no longer a "thats my friend and i like spending time with her" its a huge (seemingly unrequited) crush and like?? bringing her flowers and passing out at the sight of her. i really hate it

following this microfic i couldnt stop thinking about regulus and his relationship with the evans family so heres my little ramble

so primrose and ciarán evans are very much your middle-of-the-road white suburban irish parents. primrose is a short blonde slightly nosy pta mom and ciarán is a six foot six redheaded giant that wears kiss the cook aprons. theyre supremely embarrassing about their childrens accomplishments which, as you can imagine, is extremely baffling to regulus as a concept

(also side-note, but lily is the definition of a daddys girl and on the flip side, petunia is 100% a mommys girl. its important to me that you know this)

he first meets them the summer after first year. he befriended lily & snape at hogwarts and convinces his parents to let him visit spinners end (they only let him go bc snape is part of the prince family, and he conveniently left out the fact that lily would be there too)

quite frankly, regulus is terrified of both her parents when he first meets them, but particularly her father. ciarán is big and loud and passionate, all traits that usually mean danger for regulus. primrose unnerves him bc she is very much like his mother, but shes also her complete opposite. she has all of walburgas best traits and none of her worst (well, besides her anger issues, but unlike walburga she doesnt take it out on her children). regulus doesnt like talking to her because it feels like seeing what his mother could have been had she been more… well, motherly

the thing that brings him and ciarán together is astronomy. ciarán loves the stars, he has a borderline obsessive knowledge about astronomy and has a very expensive telescope set up on the balcony. regulus is intrigued by the muggle perspective of the field and eventually they end up having hours long conversations about the topic regularly, leaving lily and her mother to commiserate about their partners being robbed from them

with primrose and regulus, im not sure they ever reach quite the same comfortability that regulus has with her husband (likely bc both reg & ciarán are probably autistic which was an accident that i now stand by). i think he and lilys mom would be brought together by cooking, by which i mean their horrible cooking skills. sometimes they try cooking dinner together and given their strong propensity to burn water plus their equally strong perfectionism, the results are bad

when hes disowned, the only place he can think to go is lilys. as much as he loves sirius, he would rather die than live with james potter (sorry james, love u mate 😔❤️). he shows up in the middle of the night on the knight bus and is immediately welcomed with open arms. by this point, petunia has moved out and lives with vernon so he takes her old bedroom even though 90% of the time he ends up in lilys bed. her parents turn a blind eye to it knowing that he has nightmares and she brings him comfort

on an unrelated note, when effie & monty and primrose & ciarán meet they become bffs. sirius is ecstatic, regulus is tired knowing that hell now have to see three of the four marauders at every family function going forward

my thoughts on every interpretation you could have of ottosuba (+ rated out of 10)

hello recently i did this poll and i said id give my thoughts on it (also bc mutuals encouraged me to do so) so here goes!! gonna cover multiple avenues of platonic or romantic or (it's complicated) ottosuba <3

1. brothers

not a personal fav of mine but i really dig it though i get the appeal :3 bc like ottosuba are Clearly garfiel's older brothers (stated explicitly in rezero canon) but also i just really dig emilia camp's found familyisms and the three idiots are one of my favorite trios in rezero ever!! so the natural conclusion is to round out the trio and make ottosuba found family brothers also which is while not an interpretation i turn to right away i think its really really sweet!! and also platonic obsession ottosuba is a real win bc neither of them are normal about any relationship ever. but especially with each other (from otto's end). a solid 7/10.

2. purely platonic bffs

this is like their official canon relationship right? and also they define their relationship as them being friends and its great!!! also most subarus - otto if subaru is a tiiiinyy tiny bit debatable - but subaru generally we know for sure doesnt like otto romantically while ottos is just hes Down Bad but what Flavor of down bad? but anyway - i love deep friendships!! i love ottosubas own flavor of freak4freak..... platonic obsession........... <333 </333 their friendship is important to me!! its the basis of their whole dynamic!! they love each other so much!! 9/10.

3. queerplatonic

queerplatonic is like. theyre platonic mixed in with the expectations youd have for traditional romantic relationships - the nature of the qpr varies on the people within them of course and i think itd be a super interesting avenue to take ottosuba down. bc i think like in general as they are now in main route especially theyd want to stick with each other for life. they are platonically married to Me. ottoemisuba are a trio too and ottos their biggest supporter (to sometimes concerning degrees but the emilia camp found familyisms matter to Me). i definitely think otto if ottosuba veers into this category or in future categories on this list and im super fond of this take because i am of the personal opinion that ottosuba are like. found family but in a queer way, as @saphiim said in her tags on the reblog of the poll HAH. so queerplatonic ottosuba is fun to me i really enjoy it. and i definitely think otto if could fit under this category (or other categories later in the list). 9/10.

4. schrödinger’s relationship (platonic or romantic???? they dont know/elaborate)

so like. again, ottosubas friendship is super important to me and the basis for the love in their dynamic. it's how they define themselves too. and so schrodinger's relationship is like - they call each other friends they Are friends but theres not more definition other than that that they explicitly say. or - they may not even 100% know what their feelings on each other is, like they might be like oh hes my friend - and then, as it happens irl sometimes, have like a sort of situationship where they arent sure if theyre feelings on each other past that is fully platonic or romantic or what have you.

i think it's a really relatable take that id love to see more in fiction but also in ottosuba - its the default that i try to go to when i write them in a lot of my ottosuba fics where they just dont fully define their relationship past being Close Friends or theres like a loooot of confusion once they go to the core of their relationship. and i think arguably... Debatably... schrodingers relationship IS how otto's end of ottosuba goes. and arguably otto if ottosuba and stuff like gluttony if ottosuba does have the schrodingers relationship going a bit. i think with the schrodingers relationship take though subarus more firmly in the We're Friends end (but with subarus brand of unhinged codependency of course), though i dont think subaru would really dwell on it either or itd get Complicated for him too, but otto's like more confused from the get go. do i love subaru platonically or romantically? what counts as romantic? i know subaru is My Friend. but idk much else other than that. like i just Really Really Like Him and would do Anything for him. im just not gonna touch it other than him being my friend that i would do anything ever for and would like to spend the rest of my life with.

but subarus got a lot to deal with (and is prettyyy attracted to emijuli) and also otto "i could never date a woman she wouldnt be my first priority" suwen and otto "i have avoidant attachment lol" suwen who knows emisuba especially has a thing (and is an emisuba stan) wouldnt really try anything. dude just would never voice much of his feelings on subaru other than "you're my friend" and "i'm glad to have you back", partly bc otto wouldnt know much about his feelings other than that, partly bc otto would have a crisis about it if he touched it for too long and he already has a crisis about subaru’s hero complex. anyway 10/10 this is my favorite ottosuba take HAH. i like the tension of a fictional relationship being in stasis like this and i like how much you can read into it!! this feels to me like the canon basis for ottosuba as well that acknowledges all sides of it!! (their friendship, the unknown queer tension…)

5. it’s complicated (romantic)

this one is you know the one a lot of shippy ottosuba fancontent goes with - the straightforward but not straight romance. it's also the one that gets like brought up a few times in otto qnas - people asking if ottos subarus wife (the answer was no), people asking if ottos gay for subaru (the answer was not really, which is.... a little sus LMFAO). there's also a few other details that you could easily interpret as romantic in nature or at the very least Kinda Queer (otto clearly getting Some Kind of Crush on Subaru in arc 4, otto repeatedly bringing up subaru in his narration in his dialogue in his diary etc etc, the canon "otto is my side toy" arc 4 wn line, the canon "otto are you gay for roswaal lol dont come for me" arc 4 wn line, otto transphobia feeling a Bit too personal, remsuba parallels, otto if.. also those Two Times otto reaaaally sounded like he moaned subarus name in his sleep, etc).

i have written ottosuba romance before and gone a little into how sexual attraction might look there (also my otto bdsm posts exist...), though i do think that as an asexual person im gonna end up being asexual about my ottosuba writing too LMFAO. but also i personally enjoy a bit of asexuality a bit of aromanticism in my ottosuba because thats what i hc from otto for Reasons. but i do enjoy ottosuba romance a lot either way. i think in main route its definitely one sided and in otto if it is. Debatable. and gluttony if is very interestingly ottosuba-centric the Entire way through. like otto if’s subaru dreaming about otto naked and inviting subaru to bathe with him + repeated use of "partners" for ottosuba + remsuba parallels is Super Intriguing. also the. uhhhh boytoy stuff in main route is really really funny. but also the angst in possible otto’s never voiced unrequited crush on subaru is really interesting to me (also bc ottos just. Obsessed. with subaru.) but also the bittersweetness of it bc he does want emisuba to be happy and would 1000% be best man at their wedding. 8/10.

6. it’s complicated (romantic but Asexual)

this is what i default to when writing ottosuba romance even if its not super explicit in my own fics HAH. in my. ottosuba smut fic..... i was going with the intention of otto having a (demi)sexual awakening T^TT with a bit of demiromanticism T^T and otto asexuality + aromanticism is something i go into in a few other fic wips of mine though at the time of this post they are not done yet. i do hc otto as either demisexual - or simultaneously on three A spectrums at once HAH (aromanticism, asexuality, autism, the later of which Is canon), so that does kinda translate whenever i write him anyway even if ive never said it explicitly. anyway i like this take. im fond of it. 9/10.

7. it's complicated (Aromantic + Asexual)

NOW THIS IS DELICIOUSSS i do think theres something queer going on with ottosuba - otto's end of it specifically - but MANN aroace otto hits on a different level for me. i really really love exploration of aro and or ace relationships like this in media esp as an ace person - idk if im aro but i really really like aro stories and the exploration of aroace otto. firstly bc i think its funny that he has the aroace color palette in his design but secondly bc i think otto AT LEAST being asexual makes sense to me.

i think schrodinger's relationship would have to be like. the basis of all the romance tinged ottosuba takes in different ways. its the basis of platonic friends ottosuba too probably but its Gotta be the basis of (a)romantic ottosuba. queer relationships queer love is tough and i think for subaru it comes in more with like the guys hes Really attracted to - vincent, reinhard, julius, and of course subaru has his subaru typical issues but for subaru, otto's his best friend. otto is "simpler" for subaru to deal with. otto is dependable. (this of course will bite subaru in the ass later on in main route.) for otto i think though he has like. his autism comes into this, his slight attachment issues too, and then theres ottos shame (see: otto transphobia), but also genuinely i think otto needs to be close to people to develop any sort of romantic or sexual feelings if At All.

ottos main crush is like. a cat. that he was friends with as a child. and theres kind of not much mention of any other crushes except for like one (1) blink and you miss it human girl. which you could interpret in different ways probably (kid otto genuinely having a crush on the cat and the girl vs picking one of his friends or someone he just admired from afar and going “this must be a crush! normal people have crushes!”). tappei in qnas says spring (romance) wont come for otto which you can interpret in a number of ways (otto is gay for subaru? otto aromanticism? etc etc). and then theres otto saying he cant date someone bc she wouldnt be his first priority (a woman, bc otto has got that societal cisheteronormativity going on and that paired with his neurodivergence and anxiety is him trying very hard to be "normal"). of course you can chalk some of this up to otto's kinda self imposed slight-isolation too but genuinely otto to me reads like someone who feels like he needs to get married to a woman and have kids bc thats whats expected of him to do. thats the "right" thing to do. and he's not Supposed to dress up as a woman or like dressing up as a woman or approve of subaru doing that bc thats the "wrong" thing to do.

and otto of course going "im too busy rn for a relationship i got other shit to do" can be his slight avoidant attachment stuff too or him prioritizing subaru/emilia camp (and also otto genuinely prioritizing his career)... but yeah he does read to me like someone who isnt. Completely. Allosexual or Alloromantic. it's even easier for him to go "nah im not getting too close to people i dont want a romantic relationship rn" bc of that, i feel.

well also like i think the entanglement of ottos autism, aromanticism, asexuality, avoidant attachment and other struggles in his relationships in general is a really fascinating combo and it feels REAL. this is the kind of aroace rep i want in my life. its so complicated and nuanced and i Really Really Dig It.

also tappei says otto canonically has a type in woman and ironically all of those traits are traits subaru has HAH. so like. regardless of whats going on with ottos side of ottosuba i think its Really Complicated. i think that subaru is pretty oblivious to a lot of it. also bc otto would rather subaru not know about any of the details there. and also bc otto doesnt 100% Know what the hell hes feeling about subaru other than the fact that subarus his friend that he really loves. and again if otto looked at it too closely he’d start an alcoholism speedrun any %.

anyway. i really adore aroace otto. i think i mentioned in a past post that i like demisexual biromantic otto too i just never went into depth about my ace and/or aro hcs until now. but yes i really adore aroace ottosuba - even in otto if, otto is enthusiastic about shipping emisuba together LJDLFJDF which is both hilarious and really sweet and you could interpret it in different ways. you could interpret ottosuba in a lot of ways and aroace ottosuba in a lot of ways which makes it super fun for me!!!! a very solid 10/10.

katsuki n ryoko met in childhood when they both were just kids (OF COURSSEE) keep in mind this is very cheesy but i am nothing if not a sappy cheesy lovesick moron ! so no regrets for me >:3

ryoko came to school like in the middle of the year, and the moment she got introduced it was love at first sight lol😭 YESS YESS BOOO TOMATOES TOMATOES I DONT CAAARRREEE !! i love love love wins over all 😌💗 so basically he wants to talk to her immediately, but also even back then he was emotionally constipated and had no idea how to introduce himself normally. ryoko never met any other kids her age formally before then, so she was always sitting alone and reading and katsuki would randomly come up, comment on the book shees reading, get embarrassed, and then leave 😭

"...whatcha reading ?" ryoko gets nervous to talk to new people, so she shows him the book title. and after he looks at it for a good ten seconds he mumbles out a "that one sucks" and runs away, leaving her a little shocked😭

she got kinda used to him doing this every day, and slowly but surely he starts staying a bit longer and the longer they talk the more boasty baby katsuki shows up and then he's back to his loud behaviour. he gets her to introduce herself to his friendgroup, w izuku in it. (hes a wee bit jealous that she actually ends up liking izuku a lot)

katsuki is the first person that came to talk to her, so he's very close to her heart, and he's her favourite !! fun fact ! the rpp series is pretty much based on their relationship !! anyways they start dating somewhere towards the end of their second year in middle school, cus katsuki acts more subtle in his bullying of izuku when shes around cus he knows she will get mad and not talk to him,, and two izuku is her best friend too (much to his chagrin cus HES her numba one bff tf😑) and they've been together ever since !!

points to lbc. so uh. mc there is so me and uh. well. its all isekai rf mostly. somtimes not so much isekai but. actually as ive gotten older my daydreams have too. uhm. ermm. just all kinds of fantasies of stuff i want and uhm. well for a while there was a batfam one. ive done a few pjo storylines. mostly its nonfandom tho. most of them i forget after a while but the most recent isekai rf is uhm. gets isekaied into a otoge and theres magic and her name is alice but instead of going for any of the 5 romacable boys shes goes for the "villain" characters, the dukes daughter calliope who was supposed to marry the crown prince caspian (one of the love intrests) and her friend valerian who is the main antagonist in the game actually. but hes really nice actually and his parents were actually controlling and since hes the princes cousin his parents wanted him to be the heir instead and uhm. well mc also has a bff in the game called elodie and they all go to the acadamy together and take classes abd the game starts day one of your second year and thwres three grades and. well all of this is subject to change and i still havent really gotten much past orientation but. yeah.
