For the Momatron Au

I'll always wondered how Hot Rod ended up with Megatron and the Decepticons after being banished. So I came up with this little idea.

During one still night in Iacon, Optimus wakes up to the sound of glass shattering and loud crying coming the sparkling's berth room. Quickly rushing inside Optimus is greeted by the sight of a large black cyber cat with Hot Rod in its jaws. Before the prime can react he is suddenly attacked by two cy-birds who begin pecking at Optimus's helm and optics allowing the cat to flee.

The journey to the surface and back to base is long as Ravage struggles to keep the wiggling sparkling still. Thankfully half way Soundwave greets Ravage with a nod before taking Hot Rod from the feline. Once they finally return Soundwave quickly hands over the chirping bittie back to their carrier, who was eagerly waiting inside the new throne room.

Once safely back in his carriers arms, Hot Rod gazes up at Megatron giving a confused but happy squeak as he reaches out with grabby servos. His carrier is a lot bigger, angrier and has different optics but the familiar spark bond and scent tells the sparkling all he needs to know. That this is his one and only carrier.

Megatron can't help but smile proudly as he lifts Hot Rod a little higher. "Welcome home, my little warrior"

Even as a heartbroken & war waging figure he still loves his baby 🥲😭

Love your writing ! Can I ask tfp Megatron and tfp Optimus HCS with a single cybertronian carrier (autobot) who has three sparklings (specifically two boys and one girl) and that is struggling but is strong anyways?? How would they treat her and her sparklings? Thank you!

Summary - Megatron and Optimus headcanons about how they take care of their pregnant conjunx!

Megatron

~ Megatron could not believe his optics when he figured out his conjunx was pregnant. Honestly he forgot sparklings could be produced after all this time.

~ Is he happy about it? Oh he is ecstatic! He would twirl you around and call you his beloved beauty.

~ Don't move, if Megatron does not see you in his birth or anywhere around the throne room, he will go panic mode by destroying the entire ship.

~ If you had triplets, he would have to plan out what you both would do in this situation. Having more than one child is very rare for Cybertronians, and with having the war still going on, Megatron would need future back-ups just in case something bad happened.

~ Honestly he would leave Earth and stay in its orbit for a while to take care of the kids for a few years.

~ Optimus would never figure out his mortal enemy had sparklings, Megatron would hide you from the world to make sure you live peacefully.

~ He would hide you from even his own ship, only having a rare few of mechs know your ware bouts.

~ Knockout would know to make sure you are happy and healthy, also he would be amazing with being a babysitter if you ever needed one.

~ Dreadwing is your guardian when Megatron is not there. He would basically be your nice butler and grab whatever you want.

~ Soundwave…well…he will just keep tabs of you, but of course Soundwave will know about you.

~ Most of the time, Megatron would cuddle you in bed, keeping his arms around you at all times and slide you close to his chassis. You love to hear his sparkbeat.

~ Do you have a favorite type of energon? Watch as Megs forcing his soldiers to travel around the world to find said energon.

~ Trying to plan out baby names are probably the best of Megatron's days. He would never chose a name that you didn't like, but you better do the same respect to him if he didn't like a name you picked out. That would rarely happen though, Megs likes most names you bring to the table.

~ He would kill anyone immediately for you if anything goes wrong. Let's say someone shoves you on the shoulder, Megatron would drag there ass and torture them. If they ever talked bad about you, he would shoot them in the head so fast.

Optimus

~ Speaking of which, the Prime has never been more emotional before in his like.

~ First, he is very happy to know that you are pregnant, but he is also terrified and feels a bit of regret.

~ He never wants any sparkling to be born in the world of war. Now knowing you are burdened to have to carry more than one child scares him…So obviously he swears to protect you with his life.

~ Having you with him at his birth is like if the war was never there for him; Your frame close to him makes Optimus not want to leave your touch ever.

~ Cup his cheeks with your servos, and that gentle giant would stay there for as long as you wish. Leaning against your hands, gently grabbing your hips to gift you a similar touch.

~ He would try to let you name the kids yourself, not feeling like he earned the role of father. Just encourage him and Optimus would help give some good names.

~ If you ever got hurt, holy crap this is where is gets weird. Optimus hasn't felt this much rage since Megatron first started war with him.

~ One of the times he would ever walks off the path of the autobot code, is when someone physically hurts you one purpose.

~ The prime would ground his own soldiers if he hears any one of them insult you.

~ Ratchet is obviously your doctor, that mech will save your life many times.

~ Ultra Magnus tells you whenever you have an event coming up, he will also be your baby shower planner. (Don't tell anyone, but he is a master at planning and designing parties.)

~ Get Smokescreen away from you, do you know how many questions he has about how you got triplets? He will ask many inappropriate questions that would get the human kids to ask questions and NO ONE WANTS THAT!

~ Optimus would dancing with you slowly in his room before y'all go to bed, swaying you around to help you get sleepy.

~ He would stare into your eyes all day if he could, just watching the life through them light up.

Jsiis the pocket spouse au 🥴 Can you imagine being put into a transport pod to be sent to the lucky miner sector that meet quota today. All wrapped up in a little bow too add to your cute aesthetic. You can hear commotion and hoards of voices signaling your arrival. And when your pod opens you can see billions of bright optics trying to catch a glimpse of you, and the thunderous coos and squeals when they do. Some try to reach in to pet your hair, only to be swat away by a pink femme who quickly took charge of the crowd. Making your introduction with your poly more bearable

And Shockwave being the one that ends up pregnant is new level of comedy 🤣 him informing Megatron he has confirmed a union with a human can create a sparkling. But it's the Cybertronian that has to carry and he knows because his currently pregnant and it's Y/n's. And Megatron is too concern about whether or not he should be the one that Shockwave transfer the sparkling to too punish Shockwave for his research ethics. Meanwhile if Optimus catch wind of these he'd be volunteering in a heart- ah sparkbeat 🤣

I really like this idea! I think Elita would take on the temporary role of caretaker for all the humans assigned to the miners because she was the first in the entire sector to be given a human (btw the life of such a human would be hell for the first few weeks, with constant attempts at picking them up, touching, even stealing. You fall asleep in Elita’s berth, only to wake up with someone else. And I don’t think Elita would be keen on sharing her pocket spouse, as she worked so hard to earn you) She knows how to properly handle organics without hurting or scaring them. Protects them from the other curious and impatient miners and provides instructions on how to properly form a relationship with a pocket spouse.

And if you happen to end up with Orion and D-16, Elita will constantly have to smack them on their servos to keep them in line, because she hasn’t even finished reciting the protocol yet, and Orion is already trying to grab you and never let go. You’re too adorable for your own good — he just can’t help himself!

Damn, this blog has come a long way from "would you still love me if I was a worm" with Optimus to sparked-up Shockwave in a friends-with-benefits dynamic. I’m having a great time, and I hope y'all are too

Nah, Shockwave is definitely getting called into Megatron’s 'office' for being sparked up. They had agreed on exploring possibilities and methods, not actually going through with the task. And while Megs is furious (and won’t bother to hide it), deep down he’s also jealous, because it was supposed to be him! He was supposed to be the carrier, for Primus’s sake. And now you get grounded from further meetups with your bestie-with-benefits :(

Now imagine this: when the Autobots rescue you, you casually summarize everything that happened on the Nemesis, casually dropping the fact that, yes, humans and Cybertronians are compatible enough to have a kid together. And, well, there’s already one on the way. Ratchet’s face when you inform him that the first sparkling’s carrier is none other than Shockwave? Absolutely priceless

You get grounded again, this time from leaving the base. Permanently. Forever. Your humanussy is officially classified as too dangerous to roam freely

At least it gives Optimus plenty of time to question you in excruciating detail about how this all happened... Definitely not because he’d love to be sparked up by you himself. DEFINITELY not...

Hello! Since I first saw your art for this AU my mind has been making up these headcanons (or rather, behold, a ramble and delusions):

- Regarding that drawing of older(?) D-16 at the party surrounded by "beautiful mechs", given what we know of Optimus, I don't think that he would frequent the parties, and even try and avoid going to them whenever he can (if they want to show "the champions" I'm sure his manager would love to parade him there); it wouldn't be strange for him to use that free time to visit Ratchet or spend time with his son. I imagine that D-16 at first wouldn't be all to happy to attend those but, I imagine that after a while his ego would be quite pleased to see so many beautiful and "shinny" mecha throwing themselves at him. (The encouragement from other gladiators to take lovers would be very in character) ((I'm sorry, I just, saw that post and my mind went 👀!!!!!))

- I'm sorry if you already said something about this, but I have an idea for our fav Soundwave; one involves D-16 trying to befriend the weird-and very intimidating- looking new guy, his reasoning is that no one that cares so much for their cassettes can be a truly cruel person. Soundwave, meanwhile, is baffled over this timid miner that is somehow still alive, and over the gladiator from Iacon, that is stern but always has a kind smile. (I headcanon so hard that Ravage will find the perfect lap to nap in Steelton)

- Speaking of Steelton, one of the reasons he is so distrustful of D-16 -and literally everybody else- is because he may be young, but he's not stupid; he has seen mechs try and get cozy with his Carrier, play the "oh but I love you/I trust you!" card just to try and manipulate him into their puppet/pet. High caste or low caste, all mecha are the same in his mind; greedy to own whatever light that sparks into existence. Steelton sees what his Carrier endures, and understands it, but that doesn't mean that if he could, he would try and give the both of them freedom to just exist.

- I don't know why, but I think that Optimus would be friends with the quiet conjux of the shinny medic that tends to the gladiators (yes I am projecting the "Optimus would go "fuckin finally, someone quiet and seemingly normal" over Breakdown" dream). Also, it's nice seeing Steelton showing interest in something other than training, even if it's paint qualities and styles with the obnoxious medic (and if he can point out a thing or two about the paintings he remembers from Iacon, well, all the better to see his sparkling smile)

Erm, I am sorry about the quality of this ramble (English is not my first language, I'm sorry if anything is confusing or badly written), but I had to get them out of my head. I hope you liked them! I do have the question of what is/has been Ratchet doing meanwhile, and if Optimus managed to get Drift to him before being thrown to the Gladiatorial Pits.

- You're right, Optimus avoids going to parties as much as possible! Both because he doesn't like the attention and because he hates seeing Megatron surrounded by other mechs. Optimus considers himself too old for Megs. Megatron really hated the attention thrown at him at first, but ego tends to get to your head especially when you're young, he grew to like and crave attention.

-I loved your idea and thanks for sharing it! Ravage will definitely sleep on Steelton's lap haha.

- Steelton only trusts his carrier. One of the reasons why Steelton doesn't trust/like D-16 so much is his uncanny physical resemblance to his sire. The boy sees his carrier suffer and cannot afford to trust anyone. But maybe, in time he will learn to trust.

- This was just cute and I loved it.

- Regarding your question, Ratchet is still working at his clinic in Iacon, but yes, in my AU Ratchet and Drift are a couple. However, it wasn't Optimus who helped Drift.

▹ She couldn't outright refuse his wishes, but made it clear to Starscream that he can do whatever as she wasn't interested in leading the Decepticons, just that he will stay silent about her choice - and she would never interfere with his wants

▹ She really likes to visit her Carrier and despite her Sire's wishes - taking them out for flights, talking about everything and nothing, overall spending her desired time together, while she still can

Part 2 of the Royalty Au

Just as they planed and hoped Hot Rod has slowly fallen for the Koanian king and his body guard. Why he is still shy around the pair mostly due to being spark broken and betrayed by a pair of mechs who he thought loved him. While Megatron has wooed the prince with his poetry and strength, Soundwave used his smarts and love for cyber-animals to woo Hot Rod.

However rumour has it that the princes carrier didn't agree with Optimus sending their son away to be bonded and word has it that tensions are running high in the inner circle of Iacon.

"You did what!?"

Elita glared angrily after being informed her son was sent to Kaon to get bonded."

"It's fine Hot Rod is being treated well and when I checked in on him he seemed happy."

"I don't care. I can't believe you sent him away without telling me."

"Because I knew you'dtry and stop me."

"Why would you send him away?"

"Getting bonded is good for him and since his last courting... Didn't work out I thought this would be better."

Elita stood up and walked out of the room ignoring Optimus calling her to come back. She needed to get to Kaon immediatly and cehck on Hot Rod. Who knows what Megatron is doing to his son. For all she knoew hecould be making Hot Rod lie that everything was alright while he was being abused.

Meanwhile in Kaon Hot Rod was happily enjoying dinner with Megatron and Soundwave. When he'd first come he'd been relucant to engage with them. He'd already had his spark broken and believed he was entering a loveless bonding.

Megatron and his guard Soundwave have worked hard to make him feel welcome. Both of them have been kind and understanding when he wasn't in the mood to hangout. He was still getting over having his spark broken which is why he was taking things slow.

Although he's starting to catch feelings for the both of them. The very idea terrified and excited him.

THE MATRIX ITSELF

Aka me on my way to give Megatron more reasons to hate the Matrix: 🏃‍♀️

So you know how while I'm not too keen on the idea of Ghost Orion, Tronus DOES deserve to at least see or be held by his carrier.

Even if he doesn't remember after waking up. Even if his carrier... isn't actually his carrier....

The Matrix isn't malicious, it genuinely isn't. Even when it takes control of Tronus; it does eventually become aware of his emotional distress, especially when the sparkling learns and struggles at first to understand that his carrier is gone...

It's a miserable time for the sparkling. Even when he does eventually get used to it, and learns more and more about the world around him

So when it comes to choosing a being who is still a child.

it comes to the efficient conclusion to teach Tronus, more effective so Tronus can learn more about leadership and what not, in a way to comfort the still new sparkling who should be in his real tiny frame, care free, warm forged, in the arms of his carrier. .

Simple... take the form of Orion... as close as it can get... the helm and servos were the most important parts, the parts that will pass as Orion because the Matrix doesn't have a complete picture of Orion Pax, cogless or cogged, so it sticks to a plain featureless frame expect for the head/servos.

'Orion's' face is usually shadowed, unless Tronus is close and staring directly at him, then the blue optics will appear as if loading in.

Tronus will always forget about his 'carrier' after waking up; while he'll remember the lessons and advice, he wont remember method. This is so that the young prime doesn't become distracted/distressed by his missing 'carrier'.

It's more easier at this time as Tronus is still very much new and still under treatment with Ratchet, Shockwave and Knockout before he can be allowed out. The three are responsible for whatever medical issues he may have. So Tronus is very trusting and naive, when he's dreaming, he DOES genuinely believe that this is his carrier.

It works for now.

Plus some extra notes for other design ideas with 'Orion'. I'm still working on this part, and whether or not I add this into the au witg me wanting to talk a little more about Tronus's relationships, let me know what you think ^^

Mion I fucking love this concept of the Matrix putting together 'Orion' in Tronus dreams to give him lessons. Someone has to give the new prime lessons.

And while his family sure can do that. Tronus doesn't know what it is meant to think like a prime. So the Matrix does what it thinks is the best option for the little prime.

I made an opmeg kid and an oplita kid

I'm still working on their lore but I've set them into the earthspark continuity

However I do have some small notes about them,,

Aries was made/born(idk what term I'm supposed to use) around the start of the war, megatron was her carrier and optimus did not know about her being his kid even tho I feel like it's pretty obvious from looking at her that she's optimus' kid.

In my mind she's kinda like a dog that wasnt socialized properly as a puppy and now doesnt know how to interact with other dogs

She finds it hard to connect with others, she's just really bad at interacting socially,,

She is NOT a fan of melody, even tho she is not close with optimus(even tho she would like to be closer with her sire),, she does feel like she's being replaced in a way when she finds out optimus and elita are having a sparkling,, resulting in some simmering resentment towards melody

Melody is a post war baby, I dont really have much on her yet,, she's kinda just a bundle of joy, young and naive, just wants to be friends with everybody

She thinks her half-sister is just so cool and wants so badly to be close with her, she thinks the reason Aries tends to avoid her or is very cold when she talks to her is because of Aries fighting in the war and therefore not having much time for socializing,, and I mean,, that's half-true,, but also Aries just doesnt like Melody

So melody tries to spend time with Aries, trying to help her get used to socializing and help her break out of her shell,, but ya know,, it's not gonna work cuz the reason Aries avoids Melody is cuz she doesnt like her...

I have 2 ideas for routes of how their storyline could go,, a bad end and a good end in a way

Ugh I love stories about family

I still gotta work stuff out for them and figure out stuff about their lore since I only just made them yesterday,, but I like them a lot

Okay okay idea time, Rodimus running away from home after Optimus finds out he's sparked with Megatron's sparklings.

While Optimus isn't a cruel or sparkless mech Rodimus knew his carrier would be more then mad when he was found in the med-bay. He was holding a scan with the photo of a large sparkling with a tank Alt-Mode, It didn't take a genius to figure out who the Sire was. After arguing with Optimus for 2 hours straight Rodimus knew he couldn't remain as a Auto-Bot as it was far too risky, He couldn't risk his sparkling getting taken away or worse so he packed a bag and just left.

The only bots who knew where Roddy had vanished too was Kup, Ratchet and Bee, all three refused to talk with Optimus for months after Rodimus left. Maybe once the war is over or his carrier has come to his senses he'll allow Optimus to see his sparkling when they arrive but for now Roddy is content to leave him in the dark.

Hope you enjoyed, I guess this could be classed as angst or hurt/comfort

Its not even that Roddy is worried about Optimus hurting him or the bitty its just he knows other bots will and his carrier will be so focused on anger and disappointment and leading the autobots he won’t notice or have time to help.

Plus he’d stress Roddy out the entire time and Roddy knows it’s not a good thing to be sparked by a warlord but it happened and instead of using this as a treaty opportunity Optimus is not at all thinking about that.

But roddy is when the few who know agree with Prowl and Jazz who bring it up. The two find out on accident really and Roddy is certain Prowl and Jazz would do something to his bitty or him for being a traitor to the cause but they don’t. In face they’re offended by his beliefs and propose the idea of treaty through spark bonding and the bitty.

Roddy agrees to the bitty part but he’s very surprised when Megs agrees to the spark bonding part.

Roddy…isn’t on board with that part and Megs isn’t about to let the opportunity to conjunx Roddy go away sooooo he agrees to the treaty because their bitty truly is enough of a cause every bot can get behind since bitties were the only thing left unscathed during the war. But the treaty will only be signed if he’s allowed to conjunx Roddy.

Roddy agrees to everyone’s complete surprise and its only after all is signed and his carrier is still upset at him mind you, that Roddy says, “I agreed to conjunx you,” he rubs his tanks feeling the nausea roll with all the smells in the air and his nerves bad because of the situation and his carrier.

“But the treaty nor I ever said when.”

And..He’s got a point.

So he stands and turns to leave with Megatron ready to follow but Bee and Kup are keeping them distanced with Bee following giving their carrier a disappointed look and Kup gives the warlord some advice.

“Do the ritual right. My grandsparkling always did like his and Kaonian customs.”

Idk where my brain went but i like both these ideas and I can see a lot of secret bitties popping up all over on both sides. Same faction bitties and a lot of cross faction bitties.

Starscream is quick to move Bee and their bitty into their new home and Optimus is just..shocked he didn’t know both his bitties were seeing cons and he actually had a grandsparkling already.

“Get yer helm out of yer aft,” is Ratchets non too friendly advice to Optimus as he holds his and Drifts newest sparkling while their oldest sparkling First aid is standing next to his sire nodding before bounding off to now freely cling to his carrier Drift.

“He’s got a point boss,” Jazz is now openly holding his bitty while the sire just stands next to him. Okay so Optimus knew Jazz and Soundwave had a long thing going. He just kept his intake shut like he did with Prowl and Tarantulas who had a pretty complicated but loving relationship going on.

Sooo he does the next best thing which is sigh and apologize to both his friends and bitties.

He forgot how much he misses having them both in his arms snuggled up to him.

He’s very happy holding his grandsparkling and watching Megatron suffer his awkward attempts at courting Rodimus who actually enjoys them since its spark felt.

But he absolutely draws the line when Shockwave comes back. Because his bitties and long time friends can just see the intentions Shockwave has for him and man Optimus does not want to be sparked again.

“Our youngest bitty is and will stay Bumblebee, Shockwave. Get away from me.”

Starscream does not make things better, “Oh great, so you, your brother and carrier will all be sparked at the same time?”

Aaannnd thats not how Bee wanted others finding out he’s sparked again but Star just ruins things with that intake of his and he’s long learned to accept it.

Optimus manages not to kill Starscream and he manages to keep Shockwave at arms length for all of a hundred years before waking in berth with the cuddly mech who rubs his still flat tank.

“Not happening,” Optimus grumbles trying to turn away.

“Denial has never been suitable on you. Adorable nonetheless,” Shockwave simply states.

More Amorvëael Pax A.U. Moments

Megatron had not left the berth in three hours.

He lay sprawled across it dramatically, one arm slung over his optics, the other curled against a throw pillow as though it had wronged him.

“I can feel you moping,” Optimus said gently from the doorway.

“I’m not moping,” Megatron growled. “I’m brooding. There’s a difference.”

“Mmm.” Optimus walked in, setting down a warm energon cube. “So will you tell me why you're brooding, my love?”

Megatron huffed, made a noncommittal grunt, and turned away dramatically. Despite his field brightening at Optimus endearing terms.

Then came the pitter-patter of tiny peds.

Amorvëael entered the room, face covered in pink and orange finger-paint (for reasons unknown, as they had evidently not used those colors), proudly clutching a large piece of canvas.

They climbed up the berth using Megatron’s leg as leverage and plopped the painting onto his chest.

“LOOK WHAT I MADE!” they squeaked.

Megatron blinked down.

The painting was a wild, adorable mess. Two big figures—one with squarish shoulders and a red crest, the other with a cannon arm and flared helm—stood holding hands, surrounded by tiny sparkles. Next to them was a smaller blob with wings and stars for eyes.

Megatron’s voice was hoarse. “...You did, beloved treasure.”

He pulled Amorvëael into his arms and hugged them fiercely, paint and all.

Optimus kissed both of them and said, “I’ll frame it. Front and center.”

Megatron didn’t answer—just held his sparkling tighter, his spark warm with happiness and affection.

Okay, so I'm going off an idea that Sides and Sunny are both pitborn. Like, Megatron hooked up with their carrier, Spinout, but wasn't aware that Spinout got sparked from it. Spinout told the boys who their sire was, but told them to never let it be known.

Due to wanting to protect Megatron's status in the Pits as a gladiator, as well as make sure the boys never get used against him.

Spinout is also a Stunticon in the pits. When Megatron started to get more power and started the Decepticon cause, Spinout made sure that the boys promised him they'd never join Megatron. Because Spinout could tell that he didn't want his boys following their sire. So, the boys promised.

Then Spinout died during the start of the revolution, causing the other Stunticons to take in Sunny and Sides. Breakdown specifically taking the two in. And then Knockout being included in that later on. When Breakdown, Knockout, and the other Stunticons decided to become Decpecticons, Sides and Sunny had to bid farewell. Because the promised Spinout. Even though, at the time, they did agree with Megatron and his values. The two boys just wanted to fight anyone and anything.

It was only really luck that it was later on when an Autobot came along and asked them to join their side, did they get involved in the war.

They both resemble Megatron in some ways, like his anger, his violence. But, where Megatron has poetry, Sunny has his art. Where Megatron had compassion, Sides has empathy.

So I made yet another megop fankid. I keep making now ones and discarding them, sorry, I’ve just never settled on one idea or anything

But anyways, this one is specifically for my X AU. Or at least he was supposed to be (I mean he still is), but because I was listening to No One Mourns the Wicked still (but fully now), the vibes told me that he's from the bad ending version, where Megatron dies and is remembered as a villain and mastermind of the Destron Virus and Decepticon cause, when he never was, and all of his friends have to live the lie afterwards

I know I said prior that I wanted the kid's name to be Convoy, but somewhere in the process I wanted to name him Omega instead. I think I was thinking about E-123 Omega from Sonic, and thought it sounded cool. I don't know, maybe he can have a sibling named Convoy or something

But yeah, basically Omega's backstory is that he's Optimus and Megatron's kid, but Megatron didn't live to meet him, and one of his parents is remembered as pure evil (I don't know if I want to use the terms carrier and sire here idk). I don't know how Omega's situation here works, how he's allowed to be around. Maybe the lie here is that Optimus didn't know Megatron's true intentions (which probably is the general story, that he tricked the Autobots into trusting him), and he got sparked shortly before the truth came out and he died, and I don't know, he says he wants to keep it "to remember the bot he thought he knew". When in reality, their relationship was entirely loving, and I also don't know if Megatron would have known about Omega before his death

I'm also unsure if Optimus has told Omega the truth or if he's having to feed lies to his own child to keep the lie going. The latter means angst when Omega eventually finds out, and the former might mean ostracization from others because at least when he was younger, he didn't understand what was so wrong with his other parent

But either way, Omega has angst because of the Megatron situation, not helped by the fact that the two look pretty similar, at least compared to him and Optimus. And in the public eye he's ostracized for being the child of such a horrible bot, and again, their physical similarities. I'm not sure how he feels about Megatron, it depends on how much he knows, whether resentment, yearning, fear. But he probably wishes he'd at least been able to meet him, to know he truly was

I've half thought of the idea that all this possibly leads to him having an actual villain arc sometime later in life, but I don't know if I want to go down that route, nor do I know what he'd do. But like, that's probably too much angst for Optimus

Yeah, other characters are suffering plenty, but I mean, Optimus lost his beloved, has to constantly lie that he was a despicable bot and he had been tricked by his deception into trusting and loving him, possibly even to his own child, one that Megatron would have loved but never got to see, all while knowing he was never a wicked person. And now his son, someone he's likely had to assure throughout his life that he's not evil for who his other parent was (while probably being reminded of having to do similar with Megatron himself), actually does go down a path of evil, something Megatron never would have wanted. Like Christ, that's a lot, and honestly, it's probably way too much suffering for Optimus, he doesn't deserve this shit

But this probably won't be the canon route Omega takes; he's probably going to grow up in a happy family with both parents. The song just made me take this route

And also, outside of all this angst, I don't really know Omega's deal, I never did. In the head sketch and initial lined design, I hadn't figured out his vibe, which I think you can tell in the posing and expression of that design, as it doesn't communicate much. He needs more time in the oven before he's fully fleshed out as a character, or I know what I do with him

His design might also change by the time he reappears, possibly drastically, because I'm not 100% on it. By the end, it grew on me, particularly after I decided he intentionally looks a lot like Megatron, but I don't know if it's the best I can do. It sort of feels like I just mishmashed aspects of his parents together, and he looks too much like Megatron by the end of it

It might also be his colors, which outside of the white, basically all come from Megatron. I like the white and red, but I feel like maybe the combo doesn't make him look proper megop, like he could be Ratchet's, or Prowl's, or something like that. Yeah the white is from Optimus, but Megatron's usually a light silver-ish color anyways, it's not that far off. And Optimus also has red, but I made red a rather prominent color on Megatron too, and it's the same shade on both of them. I gave him purple eyes to try and distinguish him from either, since he's got so much red and Megatron aspects already, and the blue I think would have made him look even less like he's megop and more generic, since blue eyes are generic Autobot colors. But I'm still unsure of it and how it fits

I don't know, lesson here is that Omega probably needs more time in the oven, both design and character wise. But he exists in some form here and now, so enjoy this version of him if you wish. Hopefully I'll be listening to a different song by the time I get back to him

So this is based off of my own personal medical experience as well as my mutual love for aliens being terrified of humans (aka Humans are Space Orcs)

We set the scene as follows; TFP Megatron and Soundwave having a human mate who is pregnant and due. The problem? Hybrid baby is having trouble coming out ‘naturally’ and has to be delivered via a C-section.

To describe a c-section accurately, you are pealed like a literally onion - layers being cut to reach your organs and uterus. Despite popular belief, your organs are not taken out during a c-section but they are moved aside in order to reach the baby. Once baby is taken out, organs are still there as they should and mama is stitched up. It’s by no means an ‘easy’ surgery both during and after for recovery.

I picture both holoformed Soundwave and Megatron supporting wifey and one of them (probably Megs) takes a peak behind the cover and sees his wife’s organs and baby possibly being yanked out and at the most probably pales (most dads either vomit or pass out).

I would like to add in some culture clash to go with the "humans are space fae/orcs" vibe we got here.

I'm thinking it's a post-war TFP au, so it makes sense how there's humans and Cybertronian medical personnel in this shindig.

For some reason, the newspark refuses to detach themselves from their latches inside the womb, even as it contracts in a vain attempt to evict them.

26 hours later and no progress in stage 2, the human carrier getting a C-section to fish out the barely six-pound metal infant as staff figure out how to manually detach the nutrient connective tendrils.

It takes the infant a moment to find their voice, but they do and don't like the cold air! Wailing their displeasure to everyone around.

It's not the worst Megatron and Soundwave had seen, but they're in the middle of stoically grieving that it came to this point, and they have no idea how the human will take it because the human wanted a large family-

Until, still high and exhausted from the entire ordeal, the human carrier blurts out to give them a year or two. Part to heal and part to psych up for another 2.5 years of pregnancy because it's the other mech's turn to spark a new one.

The Cybertronians get a crash course on how humans are able to repair internal damage to a certain extent, which includes their equivalent of a gestational chamber. It's a wonderment to them because surgical intervention during an active carriage is the Cybertronian equivalent of a hysterectomy.

The C-section scar gets a lot of attention from Megatron and Soundwave. It's their favorite scar.

(And because Megatron is the one that initially sparked this one, it's a girl.)

literally no idea how i forgot the entire basis for the au being that they never got to earth. well. anyway. the idea of optimus loving her so badly and with his entire spark but wishing that everything about their lives was fundamentally different, and sari knowing her carrier loves her so much and she loves him too but she never quite figures out until a long time after why he looks so sad all of the time and watches her with a forlorn face when he thinks she’s not looking, well it hurts. kill megatron

Sari loves her Carrier so much, she just wishes she knew why he was sad all the time, holding her so tightly before putting her to bed. She sees sire's hand on his back as they tell her goodnight, and that sadness turns empty once her door closes for the night.

If he could Optimus would kill Megatron and run away with Sari far to an unknown planet where the Decepticons and the djd can't find him and the heir.

Ok I've been sitting on this for awhile and ngl kinda struggling, cuz. I'm not too great at puzzling out three way relationships 😅 but I think I'm finally getting there

First and foremost! Unlike previous iterations, I think the three of them will be triplets here. They come as a huge shock to everyone, and Knockout is the first to know whilst diagnosing his mate's sudden restlessness and inability to keep fuel down. Knockout is stunned to see a grand total of 5 infant sparks orbiting around Breakdown's. Seekers are always born in threes, but one of them split in two so there were 4. Add Wildbreak for a clean 5

They know the chances of Starscream being the sire of at least one is inarguable. They have... a weird relationship with their commander. Knockout and Breakdown have been conjunxed since long before the war, back when Veloctiron was still online and still the hottest, fastest place in the universe. They've always known of Starscream, he's infamous among the decepticons. But they'd never actually met the guy or been under his jurisdiction until earth, snd though their relationship is certainly a bit looser and involved now, there's still... a sort of wall there. Starscream is a massively distrustful and paranoid individual, and it took months of coaxing and careful flirtation to get him to even consider their propositions. Even when their sexual rendezvous' became semi-regular, and friendly(ish) visits even moreso, it's clear he doesn't trust them and is guarding his spark closely. He doesn't love them, doesn't think they love him, and has been beaten down and torn apart too many times to even entertain the idea. KOBD are fully content and emotionally fulfilled between each other, and while they do care for Starscream to a degree, it's more friendly than the deep and romantic love they hold for each other.

Which... somehow, makes it more awkward. If they were all a big happy united threeway sparkbond, it would be easy to tell him. They'd better be able to gage how he might react. But with him holding them at arms length and vice versa, and the seeker being so volatile, they can't even begin to guess what he'll do. What he'll think.

Knockout knows they ought to disclose it as soon as possible. After all, it's an important medical condition. But... he's worried. They both are. Breakdown has made it clear, right from the moment he found out about them, he can't stand the idea of a termination. He knows they should. They both do. An active battlefield is no place for a bitty let alone several, and they're not in a position to guarantee their safety and shelter from the war's ever evolving fallout. But the idea of snuffing them is too cruel, even for the two of them. But if they tell the wrong person or things escalate negatively, there's the risk Lord Megatron or Starscream might order their termination anyway. And while the two of them have already resolved to fight for their litter if they have to... they both know it's a fight they'll lose.

Soundwave is the next one privy to their situation. He's the calmest and most reasonable commanding force on the ship, and realistically, if anyone could get them greenlit for parenthood while also not being ejected from the warship, it's probably Soundwave. They're hoping he'll smooth things over with their big boss, because everyone knows Soundwave can do no wrong in Megatron's eyes. If the news comes from him it'll seem less bad, right?

Right!

...except Soundwave does little more than acknowledge their situation and quietly file it away into the logs. Informs them to act at their discretion: if they want maternity leave or to be excused from battle, that is Lord Megatron's will alone.

These two idiots take the "act at your discretion" and run with it. They're just....... waiting for the right time to tell Starscream. Maybe once he's recovered from his last beatdown from Megatron a bit, or comes to loiter around the medbay when he's in a particularly good mood and looking to gossip. Yeah, they'll spring it on him then, and gently ease it in with a cup of some hot energon and some embarrassing story plucked from one of the hapless vehicons. They're bracing for impact and trying to dodge the inevitable. The idiots

Their stupidity unfortunately does eventually lend itself to tragedy. Thankfully they've avoided any altercations with the autobots recently, and Breakdown has been listening to Knockout about not exerting himself. The carrying cycle is progressing nicely and Soundwave has been approving theor extra energon intake without question. Everything is great.

And then everything goes to shit because of MECH

Everything plays out just as it does in canon. A clash with Bulkhead, taking hits and plunging in head first like he really shouldn't, dragged away by the humans and put under the knife. Having his optic ripped out of his head, having pieces of him removed and cut away. It's a traumatic, horrifying experience, and by the time Bulkhead arrives to free him he's bleeding from a very inconvenient place. Breakdown doesn't know if his greatest rival truly didn't notice or if he was refusing to acknowledge it, but he's glad for it either way. Starscream shows up to get him back, and Breakdown manages to hold himself together until he gets to the medbay

Knockout is waiting for him, and already knows the grim reality: Breakdown had never experienced such a spark-deep, lacerating pain than when one of their sparklings reabsorbed into him, premature bond shattering and leaving him a howling, roaring mess strapped to that concrete slab. Even now it persists, as his internals constrict and twist trying purge what would have been one of their bodies.

He looks like a mess stumbling into Knockout's arms, face still torn open, a gaping hole of wires and energon where his eye once was, chassis soaked in blood from their experiments and thighs just as wet, leaking a trail of blood behind him. The second the door whooshes shut behind them Breakdown collapses, crumbling to his knees and starting to scream even as his bondmate rushes throw his arms around him. It's so much, it's too much, everything is visceral pain, everywhere, from the farest reaches of his limbs to the cold void growing in his spark. It's agony, pure agony, as he desperately clings onto Knockout hard enough to dent and scratch and scrape, bawling and screaming in ire so loudly it surely echoes out into the halls. It's all just too much.

And then, to make matters worse, Starscream arrives. Bulkhead may not have noticed but he did. He can think of several reasons a mech might be voiding internal energon from his interface array, and none of them are positive. One look at the two of them immediately confirms his suspicions, and the only thing he can ask is, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Why, indeed. Breakdown immediately starts hysterically rambling, that he's sorry he knows they should've said something sooner but he's sorry this is all his fault and he's so sorry-

Explanations can wait, evidently. They need to get him taken care of, first.

Thankfully, a quick look with the mirror and a medical scan reveal that three of them are still there. Obviously stressed, vibrating at a higher than usual frequency, but still anchored safely to him. Not immediately in danger of reabsorption, and it's a huge, bittersweet relief. Three of them survived, might still survive all the way to emergence. The happiness is of course overshadowed by the loss, but this discovery feels like a glimmer of hope nonetheless. Knockout gets to work patching him up as seamlessly as he can, precise, loving hands eradicating wound by microscopic wound. Breakdown gets a tiny bit of carrier-safe sedative, to relax his body enough to safely operate while keeping him semi-coherent. They talk the whole time, all three of them. About... what to do next, about what the future may look like with three sparklings soon to be born. Starscream agrees that, if any of them have wings, he'll willingly care for them and be their parent. If they're all grounders, then... he'll of course be civil and be more forgiving about time off for the two of them, but he won't be involved. It's a fair arrangement they can all agree on.

Of course, that all goes out the window when the three of them are born. Starscream himself didn't even realize how excited he was for their birth until Knockout announces the first one is a grounder, and his spark leaps because he doesn't care. He doesn't care if they're a grounder or a flyer, his spark lurches in a joyful way it hasn't done since before Vos fell, and all at once he realizes that he wants to be involved in these bitties' lives whether they're actually his or not. They'll need all the help, all the love they can get, and he wants to be there with them regardless of what frame they are.

Then the next two come out as jets and he's somehow even happier, because this means he'll have someone to teach about the sky and all it's wonders, and it's somehow an even greater happiness. The three of them are beautiful sparklings, each somehow with Knockout's unnaturally pretty, elegant face. The little grounder looks just like his carrier as far as his colors go, mimicking him near perfectly, but his alt mode is achingly different but so familiar. "He's just like Wildrider..." Breakdown murmurs, optics faraway as he remembers his family from so long ago. They name the eldest Wildbreak, at Knockout's insisting that Breakdown be included too. The split spark twins inherit names from the sky, from long dead relatives they'll never meet: Jetfire and Jetstorm. Neither Knockout nor Breakdown has any complaints, so their names are settled on swiftly. With that out of the way their exhausted parents can all settle in on and around the bed, bonding with their newborns and whispering back and forth to each other about just how wonderful their precious sparklings are 💖
