preface: sorry this is so much writing and im not going to grammar check it cuz aint no body got time for that.

The world of this au is like pokemon with different gyms you can fight through and beat, there's a big league of pro fighters, and there are schools for teaching you to be a better fighter.

One of the schools is called the Germa 66 Private Battle Academy, it goes from grades 1-12 and its where the Vinsmoke siblings all went too (at least until sanji broke off from the family at some point) and its run by Judge Vinsmoke, their father.

i am thinking that the Vinsmoke kids would still be genetically modified and Kuma would be a cyborg in this too.

design stuffs:

Ichiji: i tried to make him as punk as he would feasably get away with living under his father's rule. Big "combat" boots, fingerless gloves, black undershirt. He likes his style and would probably go all out if he didnt have to conform to his school uniform, thus i put a little heart on his boots.

Niji: i also made him like his style. The rings on his fingers, his nikes shoes, his big headphones. Like a gamer who thinks this is what fashion is. I think he would love listening to music too so i put his heart on his headphones.

Yonji: big stakly guy. Hes a lot more hands-on than his brothers so i put lots of emphasis on that area. i put his heart on his hand wraps because i think he would really love fighting. I think that Yonji is most like his father in that enjoyment, but i think Judge wouldnt like how casual Yonji's style is.

Reiju: y2k queen. I love this design on her so much im so bummed that she would have already graduated from the academy and i cant put her in a Hit Me Baby One More Time-esque uniform outfit, shed fucking KILL THAT SHITTT. Anyway though, reiju's heart is subtle yet in plain view, the locket around her neck. i dont think she would let anyone look at the contents but i do think that absolutly it would be her mother on one side and her brothers on the other. She wouldnt like people looking at it because that would mean someone could see that her dad isnt in there and she would get it a lot of trouble with her father about it.

Power ranger fits: i made them full on power rangers. its what they deserve. Since reiju has a butterfly motif in canon, i thought it would be fun to also give her brothers a bug motif of their own. ichiji is a wasp, niji is a dragonfly, yonji is a stag beetle. If sanji stuck around, hed probably be a lady bug lol. Also the masks they wear, the eye window part, it’s like tear tracks coming out but in a way that doesnt look like thats what they are. But it’s meant to show how judge forcing his children to be these people is causing them pain.

Doflamingo: i tried to make him a Nasty Nasty man. Like if a used car salesman made it big. Like if Macklemore was MackleMORE. i love the idea that he likes to tan himself, but he doesnt take any of his clothes off to do so, so he just has the absolute craziest tan lines ever. i put his hearts on the gold chain around his neck, he loves his wealth but not much else. i love the idea of him having two very expensive watches on each wrist. there may be more watches up his sleeve too. i also gave him fluffy dice around his neck, like he's one of the cars that he's selling.

Rosinante: i couldnt get away much longer without putting the heart man into the heart 'game'. i couldve went off more with the hearts of his design but i didnt want him to become nearly as flashy as his brother. i wanted him to be understated and fade into the background when doflamingo is around. he is dead in this au btw sorry :/ this is his design when he passed, but doffy's design is present day him. anyway, Rosi's hearts are everywhere, its in the outline of his big huggable fluffy coat, its on his hat thats pulling him down, it would be on his shirt too if it wasnt covered by his coat in this image.

Bonney: SHEEES SO CUUTEEEE AAAAAAAA i love her. I based her design off of Avril Lavigne with her iconic necktie/tanktop/baggy pants looks. i tried to make her outfit look like she could feasibly fit in it when she ages herself up, especially her big ol shoes. the heart in her design is in her neck tie. The stereotypical visage of a dad is a man in a tie who goes to work, and she loves her dad, so her heart is in her dad tie.

Kuma: I didn't change much of him from his design in canon, but since bonney would be more in his life in this version, i wanted to give him more visual indicators of her being there. like the height chart on his leg, or the fuzzy hat she crocheted for him (she also made her own hat for herself). Also, the pattern on his shirt is one that looks like a paw, but if you took off that outer layer, if the pattern continued, the design would be a sun, and i just think that was really clever ehe ehe.

Hancock: Basically i tried to make her the baddest bitch in the universe. My program crashed like 3 times making her which is so funny. Procreate couldnt handle her. I based her design off of Medusa. at first i had her snake be made out of marble, but it eventually wound up at Obsidian. She has no visible hearts on her design and thats because it would be the scar on her back, which she tries to hide. i like the idea that this very visibly revealing outfit would be perfectly tailored and reinforced to never move a single inch to let anyone see what theyre not supposed to. I dont know how i would justify her being able to turn people into stone in this AU, so im just not going to make a decision on whether or not she can do that.

ive been working on these designs off and on ever since i made the first post on this au and im real happy i can finally put more out.

Heated Argument - Megaman X2 comic -

finally finished this fan comic project! thank you so much to my friend Dr. Zane "Z" Powers for helping me with the dialogue and grammar!

Some personal comments and insights about this comic down the line if you are interested!

aaaaaaaaaaaahhh... this took quite a long time, I guess not as long as Brotherhood Twists but you can see the difference in the first page with the second lol.

in fact I had done like various previous versions of the second page, you can see here how I was kinda improvising still and also still using some smaller panels, which later I thought it was much better to use big panels for more cool scenes like on Stag's powers by example

before i also had thought of including Pi; the pink navigator, more into the story but I thought maybe would be a little bothersome that she interrupts the fight with her dialogue too often and also may be redundant of her to comment on what's happening.

at one point I decided to make a storyboard and basically I went from there, which still made things a little difficult with the dialogue because I didn't full define that before as usual 😅 but I got some help from my friend and I think it turned out really cool!

it's also a little bit difficult to build on a story that has no prior buildup like I think a story like this should have had, I would have LOVED to build up something from before XD

there are other things I want to focus now but I'd still like to make more fan comics maybe smaller ones and let some headcanons out someday lol

Things that I learned with this, is that next time I make a fan comic like this, I'll reduce the quality in art a bit, maybe less shading and less clean line art would be good to save some time because as much as I like going ham on projects like this, it was still kinda tiring lol it really helps to have a color guide though! I made one reference sheet for myself here and I still really like it

the shading isn't present and still looks good, so that's something I'll keep in mind if I do another one in the future oh also ink shading was so helpful! saved a lot of coloring time lol and I added a few little cameos in the end, added Mac from Megaman X3, 2 concept navigators; one from X1 (the blonde one that was a scrapped concept for navigator) and one from Maverick Hunter X, and I made Signas one of the reploids that appear in the day of Sigma, he isn't the commander yet but he's there helping too!

smart - October 6th - Jegulus - @stag-microfic - word count: 665 - trans!Regulus Inspired by a reddit post that I heard about on a podcast so I don't have the original source to link it lol

"It's going well, I think," Effie whispered to Monty, who nodded at his wife, grinning.

"I like him. I have to admit, he's not what I thought he would be, though," Monty murmured, looking across the room.

It was true. James was so larger-than life and attention-grabbing; so loud and, Effie had to admit, dramatic. But Regulus, James's boyfriend who he'd finally agreed to introduce them to, was quieter. It had struck them as strange that it had taken so long, since Regulus was Sirius's little brother, and Sirius had practically been their adoptive son for years. But they didn't know a lot about Regulus. Just that he had taken longer to cut ties with Sirius's problematic family, and that their son was absolutely crazy about him.

He also seemed nervous and a bit skittish, though when he did speak, he came off as extremely smart. Though both men looked at each other with stars in their eyes, it was certainly a different match than what James's parents had been expecting.

When they interacted together, it made all the sense in the world, though. At least in Effie's opinion. They were natural opposites in the best way, and Regulus seemed to bring out the best in James. He'd never seemed happier.

"I'm going to do the dishes," she announced, standing and exiting the room, waving all of the boys off as they got up to try to help.

But as she began to get to work, the short, curly-haired man who had been glued close to James's side all night entered the kitchen, balancing a stack of plates.

"Oh, let me get those, dear!" Effie jumped over to grab the stack from Regulus's hand, eager to help.

"Thanks, Mrs. Potter," Regulus smiled softly. "The meal was wonderful. Was that thyme I tasted?"

"Oh, thank you, dear. It was! Do you cook?" she asked as they began to fall into a rhythm of washing and drying together.

"A bit. I learned a lot of family recipes as a child, and it was one of the few things my parents insisted on teaching me that I actually enjoyed," Regulus shrugged, meticulously drying a plate.

"Interesting," Effie frowned, speaking over the running water. "Did they make Sirius learn, too?" Sirius had become a permanent fixture in their household long ago, but had never mentioned learning how to cook.

Regulus just snorted softly. "No, they only made the girls learn."

It took a moment for Regulus's admission to sink in, and the dish Effie was now washing in the sink slipped from her hands as she realized. "Oh!" she said softly, her brain catching up with the conversation.

Regulus's eyes grew wide as he, too, figured out what had happened. "James and Sirius never told...?" His face, which had previously had a small smile playing on his guarded features, grew nervous and almost cold.

But Effie wasn't having that. "Regulus," she said firmly, grabbing his arm with her wet hand and refusing to allow him to turn and walk away. "It doesn't matter to us," she stated, looking the terrified man in the eye, making sure he understood she'd never been more sincere.

The gray eyes that stared back at him grew wide and watery, and he blinked a few times before nodding and letting out a shaky breath. "I- okay," he mumbled. "Sorry, I- It's just, my parents were-"

"I understand," Effie murmured, movign her hand up to squeeze his shoulder.

Nodding again, Regulus visibly relaxed, turning back to the dish he had been drying.

"It won't matter to Monty, either," Effie clarified, squeezing his shoulder again and returning to the sink. "As long as you and James love each other and you support his Quidditch team, he'll approve."

Chuckling, Regulus smiled. But after a moment, he turned to Effie, frowning. "What Quidditch team? Because James likes the Chudley Cannons and I can't even pretend to like-"

"No, he likes Puddlemere," Effie laughed, pulling him into a hug.

A sneak peak of my “Canon abuse in the Black family” meta

Because I can’t wait until I finish the whole meta to yell about these details, that are solid evidence that Walburga was as violent and sadistic as abusers like Vernon, Umbridge, Marge, etc. and most definitely did not love Sirius.

1.0 Sirius breaking Walburga's heart

Starting with the passages most frequently quoted as evidence that Walburga loved and grieved Sirius, which, if you read and analyze carefully, proves the opposite:

“Master always liked his little joke,” said Kreacher, bowing again, and continuing in an undertone, “Master was a nasty ungrateful swine who broke his mother’s heart —” “My mother didn’t have a heart, Kreacher,” Sirius snapped. “She kept herself alive out of pure spite.” Kreacher bowed again and said, “Whatever Master says,” then muttered furiously, “Master is not fit to wipe slime from his mother’s boots, oh my poor Mistress, what would she say if she saw Kreacher serving him, how she hated him, what a disappointment he was —” (OoTP) “Master Sirius ran away, good riddance, for he was a bad boy and broke my Mistress’s heart with his lawless ways. But Master Regulus had proper pride; he knew what was due to the name of Black and the dignity of his pure blood. ” (DH)

Firstly, fandom uses "he broke her heart" as evidence Walburga loved Sirius... and then completely ignores that right after Kreacher says she hated him. Secondly, "spite" is defined as "a desire to hurt, annoy, or offend someone; maliciousness" - indicating Walburga deliberately and maliciously hurting her children and others.

Third, very importantly, there is something else that is stated not to have a heart earlier in OoTP - a dementor.

An enormous silver stag erupted from the tip of Harry’s wand; its antlers caught the dementor in the place where the heart should have been; it was thrown backward, weightless as darkness, and as the stag charged, the dementor swooped away, batlike and defeated. (OoTP)

Indicating that Walburga is like a dementor to Sirius, and matching how 12GP is framed as another Azkaban for him. Likewise, Vernon is compared to a dementor in the same book, with his strangling Harry paralleling the dementor reaching for Harry's throat a short time later (The connection to Umbridge as a dementor is also implied, since she's the one who sent them after Harry):

[...] two large purple hands reached through the open window and closed tightly around his throat. “Put — it — away!” Uncle Vernon snarled into Harry’s ear. “Now! Before — anyone — sees!” “Get — off — me!” Harry gasped; for a few seconds they struggled, Harry pulling at his uncle’s sausage-like fingers with his left hand, his right maintaining a firm grip on his raised wand. Then, as the pain in the top of Harry’s head gave a particularly nasty throb, Uncle Vernon yelped and released Harry as though he had received an electric shock [...] (OoTP) A pair of gray, slimy, scabbed hands slid from inside the dementor’s robes, reaching for him. [...] But there was no happiness in him... The dementor’s icy fingers were closing on his throat — the high-pitched laughter was growing louder and louder, and a voice spoke inside his head — “Bow to death, Harry […] (OoTP)

Fourth, the thing about using "he broke her heart" as evidence is that… Kreacher talks like this all the damn time, and it's pretty obvious that we shouldn't take many of these statements literally, lol:

“[...] she’s no better, nasty old blood traitor with her brats messing up my Mistress’s house, oh my poor Mistress, if she knew, if she knew the scum they’ve let in her house, what would she say to old Kreacher, oh the shame of it, Mudbloods and werewolves and traitors and thieves, poor old Kreacher, what can he do...” “...and there’s the Mudblood, standing there bold as brass, oh if my Mistress knew, oh how she’d cry, and there’s a new boy [...]" “— comes back from Azkaban ordering Kreacher around, oh my poor Mistress, what would she say if she saw the house now, scum living in it, her treasures thrown out, she swore he was no son of hers and he’s back, they say he’s a murderer too —” (OoTP)

Oh my poor mistress, she has to deal with all this filth in her house! Oh how she’d start crying if she saw a mudblood in her house! Oh my poor mistress, her filthy brood traitor son broke her heart!

Is it really “poor Walburga” for having people fighting against blood purity in her house? Would Walburga really start crying if she saw Hermione standing in Grimmauld Place? No, she just hates them and is violent to them, but Kreacher talks like all these things are ~breaking her heart~, my poor heartbroken Mistress, and poor Mistress this and poor Mistress that, constantly.

ETA: and he doesn’t even say Sirius running away is what broke her heart, it’s his rebellion before he ran away, his “lawless ways” that “broke her heart”, and so it’s a good thing he ran away.

2.0 Sirius and Harry running away

Next, we have another really significant parallel between Sirius and Harry, and Walburga and Umbridge:

“I used to be there,” said Sirius, pointing at a small, round, charred hole in the tapestry, rather like a cigarette burn. “My sweet old mother blasted me off after I ran away from home [...]" “You ran away from home?” “When I was about sixteen,” said Sirius. “I’d had enough.” (OoTP) “Tut, tut, I don’t seem to have made much of an impression yet,” she said, smiling. “Well, we’ll just have to try again tomorrow evening, won’t we? You may go.” Harry left her office without a word. The school was quite deserted; it was surely past midnight. He walked slowly up the corridor then, when he had turned the corner and was sure that she would not hear him, broke into a run. (OoTP)

Harry literally runs away in terror from Umbridge after she tortures him with the blood quill. This is a direct parallel to Sirius running away from home, and from Walburga in particular, after which Harry explicitly compares Walburga to Umbridge and to Umbridge torturing him, as I mentioned in this post ("We’ve got a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Umbridge. She’s nearly as nice as your mum.") Just like Sirius saying "I'd had enough" is a direct parallel to Harry running away from the Dursleys in PoA:

“She deserved it,” Harry said, breathing very fast. “She deserved what she got. You keep away from me.” He fumbled behind him for the latch on the door. “I’m going,” Harry said. “I’ve had enough.” (PoA)

And it's actually not even the Dursleys he runs away from, it's Aunt Marge - who Harry says is much worse than the Dursleys, who also beats him, and says that he needs more beating at school and they should use "extreme force" on him (Here's a post with more Sirius and Harry parallels, and parallels regarding their abuse and trauma.)

Dev: means "god" or "deity"

Vaghela: Gujarati surname, the Vaghela dynasty also claimed descent from heroes set to destroy the sons of Diti (Daityas/demons)

EJ: named by my friend Kyler who originally played EJ in the monster of the Week campaign this was based on (asked him, don't think he had any meaning behind it)

Adam/Eve: I mean... also the character was originally named Adam in the MotW game and I love a trans character naming themself Adam/Eve to reflect how they've remade themself from clay

Lucía: means "light" and has etymological links to Lucifer, just a lovely name, beautiful sound and a delicate feel

Reyes: means "kings" or "royalty"

Fenrir/Fen (Lucìa's dog): Norse myth

Ciel: means heaven/sky and (I'll admit) Black Butler vibes

Danny: named by my friend Stags who was the keeper for our MotW game (I think he was inspired by Danny Phantom)

Arturo: means "bear"/"bear king" and can link to King Arthur (and other Arthurs like Arthur from the kid's cartoon and Arthur Morgan lol, I just love an Arthur I guess)

aka what if Eva died in s3 and haunted Tommy

She dies in his arms and yet the next morning he awakes to find her beside him.

“Did you think a physical death would kill our story, mi vida?” the witch asks as a cold hand cradled his cheek as she used to do when she was alive.

Same nightgown she wore to sleep, dark hair neatly braided and her chest rising and falling with every breath she took.

It is when Tommy reaches out to her thinking everything had been a terrible dream that he knows the woman in bed with him is merely a ghost of her. Blood trickles out of the slowly forming bullet wound that killed her and before he knows it, he is drenched in it.

He cannot move, he can only ask one thing: How?

“I’m a witch, darling, the veil between this world and the next is too weak to keep us apart.” She pins him like she was so fond of doing, kisses him and the mortal man relishes in the familiar taste of the woman he had been married to for four years.

The blood disappears, the wound as well as they give into their longing even if she’s only been dead for less than a week.

Tommy awakes alone, almost strangled by the nightgown she had left on the bed the night she died and with a hangover from hell.

And yet, the moment the whiskey touches his tongue she appears on his desk, sitting cross-legged in her favorite winter outfit as if she’d never left.

“Are you going to be doing this every time I drink?” he asks the ghost who only smiles.

“Did you say something, Tommy?” Lizzie asks from the other side of the library, having come to help put Eva’s affairs in order. They had been good friends, worked well together and now Elizabeth Stark was here to make sure the transition of Eva’s charities and other shit went as smooth as the dead woman haunting him would have demanded.

He gets drunk enough to fuck the Duchess and it's his wife possessing the woman whom he fucks that night. Then it happens again when the dead woman convinces him to try and see if it works with Lizzie too.

Tommy doesn’t know what will happen to him if she ever leaves for good. Already he feels the ache for her when he wakes up to find its some other woman in his bed and not her.

Then Hughes leaves him at death’s door on Good Friday. Those hours or days he was under the heavy drugs had him live out a fantasy with her. In that dream world she was alive, the baby they’d only learned about the week before was a beautiful little girl with his blue eye and her brown one, and then they were on the beach they made love in during their honeymoon when the bubble bursts and he's taken back to the land of the living.

He wakes up with her telling him his time will not come because she won’t ever let him die without keeping his promise to raise Charlie for her.

“I cannot leave until you join me, mi amor. And I won’t let you leave until Charlie is old enough to make his own way in the world.” She plucks the cigarette from his hand and smokes it herself craving a taste of the world she left behind. “He needs you now more than ever.”

“But I need you, love, I can’t go on without you.” He pleads with the ghost as the laudanum bottle shakes in his hand.

Mary, the housekeeper, had no idea what she was encouraging by telling him to take his medication. She thinks it calms him because he’s too drugged to be reminded he lives in hell with paradise just within reach.

“I will leave if you take your life, Thomas Shelby.” Eva gives him no choice, takes the bottle in his hand and spills the liquid down the sink for him. "I would never forgive if you if you left Charlie without a father knowing how much I love our son."

the vegimals in my misty memories au are about like 10 years old by above and beyond, and around 6 or 7 in the original show

They don't age exactly like how people do, some periods of development lasting longer or shorter (like how many years they behave like infants, toddlers, young children, and etc. As well as their mental capabilities in each of those stages) so its a bit more flexible in what they're capable of doing in those stages

The vegimals (and other plant like species) usually exist in pods or small packs, a garden if you will. Each pod has alot of physical diversity so that they have a higher chance of survival from teamwork and a variety of strengths, that's why they look so physically different from one another.

Under the cut is just me speculating how the vegimals might look when they're older and some artwork of my persona that is sort of a related species to the vegimals??? I dunno

My persona (that I made before getting into octonauts) is pretty similar to the vegimals, but not aquatic, my persona is also nocturnal and based strongly off of wisteria trees hence why I go by wistie

So as the vegimals get older they'll probably gain some type of flower, since they are a more aquatic species they'd likely become alot longer and gain some sort of ability relative to their plant type

My creature can spit spores that explode toxins upon impact, but I dont know what the vegimals would be able to do... I imagine they'd just be alot physically tougher and able to handle intense water pressures and going without food for longer periods of time 👍 cuz yk, they're mostly root vegetables or plants that store energy

My faerie is rather small, but I imagine the vegimals could be as tall if not taller than some of thr octonauts once they reach their full height, nothing too crazy but still not children sized anymore. Definitely more long abdomen cuz of the whole fish thing.

I'd also assume that they gain "root/vine" whisker like idk flagella??? To be able to detect water movement, temperature, salinity and etc better and help them even track eachother better. Common with sea creatures like seals.

My persona uses their flower like antennae to sense electrical energy, (yk like how hammerhead sharks do?) So imagine their little vines could probably detect electrical fields the same way lol

Ur vegimal oc definitely goes in a very different direction than how I view the vegimals XD mine just get better at speaking English lolll

Do you think Lily’s patronus makes sense as a Doe? Because when I think of Does I think docile, timid, fragile, sensitive and fearful and Lily doesn’t quite match that description. I know patronuses aren’t always 1:1 with the wizard’s personality but usually there is some overlap (Sirius is loyal and protective, James encapsulates the positive and negative qualities of a stag with his leadership and strength but also the toxic masculinity, Remus is needing of a pack and is also clever etc.). So do you think there is some part of a doe or what they symbolizes that fits with Lily’s character OR do you think her patronus changed to match James who’s already was a stag?

If you’ll allow me to ramble about my own theories here for a minute than I would like to say that I actually believe that her’s changed. I think this mostly due to JKR saying this in a interview awhile ago when someone asked if it was a coincidence that jily had matching patronuses: “No, the Patronus often mutates to take the image of the love of one's life (because they so often become the 'happy thought' that generates a Patronus).” Her statement implies (or more outright states) that there was a change of patronus for atleast one of jily, And since James was already a stag animagus at 15 we can assume that his patronus was always one (further evidence is that McGonagall’s patronus and animagus is both a cat).

I personally believe that patronuses are a manifestation of hope, the desire to go on, and the idea of what to continue living/fighting for (“The Patronus is a kind of positive force, a projection of the very things that the Dementor feeds upon — hope, happiness, the desire to survive” from Lupin, and then Luna says this while helping Harry conjure one in DH “"We're all still here," she whispered, "we're still fighting. Come on, now...”). So I think given this it makes a lot of sense for Lily’s patronus to change to reflect an image of James. She is a targeted individual in her new small society that is at war and there isn’t much hope to be found anywhere, but she finds hope in James because he represents the life she wants to have that’s not connected to the war, a normal happy family. Her “happy thought” in the midst of death and destruction is family and love (also meaning this is what she wants to preserve and fight for, and it is ultimately what she dies for.)

It’s also interesting that her patrounus takes a female form, we know it’s possible for characters to have a patrounus that differ from their gender but that isn’t the case here. And while I know the doylist answer has to do with JKR’s views on femininity and gender in general, from the watsonisan perspective this could mean a couple things:

She is a doe because her hope lies within her being James’ wife and partner (like the family thing I said above. It’s not about the title or status of being a “wife” but about the normalcy, safety, intimacy and love that it represents)

She is a doe because her identity is separate enough from James where she wouldn’t mirror him but instead be her own version (possible, but less symbolically satisfying to me lol).

Or is it just something else entirely?

omg wait this is very interesting and absolutely NOT trash!! to be honest with you, I've thought about this a little myself before and never come up with a wholly conclusive answer. But personally I think it's very possible that Lily's patronus might have changed. I skirted around this issue in my fic by not having Lily produce a corporeal patronus until she was already with James lol.

Re: the doe, obviously in real life many prey animals are skittish, shy, and fearful because that's how they survive. This includes male deer too, because they will also startle easily. But I think that Lily could definitely be said to have qualities that are doe-like in a more symbolic way: grace, beauty, a gentle and caring nature, devotion to her young. I think it is an animal that fits Lily in many ways, and I think the symbolic/mythological meaning associated the animal is maybe more relevant than how the real animal behaves in the wild.

But even though I think Lily has doe-like qualities I don't think this precludes her patronus having become a doe because of James. It's more about the person she grew into, alongside James, than her identity totally changing because of her relationship. I think it still represents her, she IS the doe but she just grew into that person over time.

If Lily's patronus did change to mirror James, I REALLY like your idea that it reflects what she most cares about, that James (and what he represents to her) becomes her happiest thought and what she's fighting to survive for. Not just James, but later also Harry- whose Patronus is also eventually a stag.

As for what it might have been before (or had she never met James) it's a difficult question! I recently assigned patronuses to all the order members for ease of writing and lowkey I feel like I've run out of animals lol. I could see her as some kind of bird perhaps (I always feel like I default to giving people birds though lol) maybe a dove... or a seabird of some sort. I've always really liked the storm petrel, which is thought of as intrepid and brave and is known to fly through terrible weather, it cares for its single young, and has apparently been used as a revolutionary symbol. There's something really beautiful and dignified about them to me, they're lonely but resistant which could fit Lily's position as a Muggleborn amidst the war, if she hadn't fallen for James and joined the Order with him. So that's my first thought-- I'd be open to ideas though!

The plot obviously, kind of warrior catified it and some changes just came along. Charles will be next & the rest of the supporting gang members will be drawn... eventually.

Notable changes:

Redrabbit & Harepoppy (Sean & Molly) are siblings! And Red/Sean is older than Stag/Arthur. Was his mentor.

Sadie and Abigail are merged, as Addergale (get it. Adler-gail). Nothing against either of them I love them dearly but I felt it'd be fun to have a character who could be John/Wolf's love interest but also Stag/Arthur's best friend.

Stag/Arthur has lung cancer instead of TB. I had this idea that instead of the Downes & the bank robbery which kills Hosea, there's going to be a huge fight with the 'pinkertons' (Skyclan) & the 'o'driscolls' (Windclan) join in as a show stopper. Theres a lighting strike which sets the battlefield on fire, which gives WC & SKC the upper hand, taking Slate/Hosea hostage & giving Badger/Dutch a chance to back down- He hesitates, and they kill Slate/Hosea 😋

To show how Dutch/Badger always preached "Revenge was a fool's game", yet didn't follow it & taught this to his sons, Stag/Arthur bolts after the killer of Slate/Hosea, who goes down a Windclan tunnel or a rabbit hole (have not decided) which has been filled with smoke from the fire. Stag/Arthur kills him, and in turn signs his death warrent.

There's a lot more, but you'll have to read the full fic to find out :] Have so much planned. It's called Warriors: Severance (meaning the severing of a relationship... I wonder what that could entail.) and it's posted on my other blog (warriorsseverance) or on ao3. I try 2 post every 2 weeks!

Pen! I love you dearly but making Draco's patronus a stag feels a bit like cheating!! What would it have been otherwise to represent just himself? *CRIES* A dragon? It makes me really sad to think Draco was so in love with Harry that he adopted his patronus. *cries some more*

okay so! Draco’s patronus. Last time I posted this story I got similar remarks, but the way I view it, Draco’s patronus being a stag like Harry’s doesn’t mean he was necessarily completely romantically in love with Harry (although honestly… who wasn’t at least a little in love with Harry). Yes, there was definitely some attraction there, but Draco said himself in hauntingly that he preferred girls, and knew he’d have to marry one, so he never had any illusions that he would be running off into the sunset with Harry Potter when all things were said and done. He was fiercely protective of Harry, seeing how close they became in grimmauld, and that was especially true after the locket fiasco. He was, admittedly, jealous of and annoyed at Ginny’s flirtatiousness with Harry when she showed up, but that was partly because those two had a bit of bad history at Hogwarts the year Harry was gone. And the aforementioned fierce protectiveness of Harry. Ginny was a legitimate threat as far as he was concerned, and not nearly good enough for his new best friend Harry Evans Potter.

sooo. Yeah. In my head, sure the stag was out of love for Harry. But I think that love could be several different kinds of love. Everyone likes to point out Severus’s and Tonks’ patronuses as examples but I like to look at Harry’s, personally - how his was a stag like his dads, because he was thinking it was him before, and that was who and what he envisioned protecting him when he needed it most.

but to answer your question… I don’t know what Draco’s patronus would have been! In the hauntingly world specifically, if Harry had lived……. Hmmmmm…. Maybe it would have been a peacock lol snape is usually right

Agent Vojtech Líška (lee - sh - kah) headcanons! (SCP OC) i know not alot of people know about him because i NEVER draw or talk about him, but i did draw him one time and i want to draw him more! tw: alcohol mention!

now here's the info i have of him: he's an MTF agent (Gamma-4 - Green Stags), LOVES hunting, has served in the Slovak military, is 44 years old! (birthday is 28 september 1981) and his birthplace is Stará Lesná! (village in slovakia!)

of COURSE his favorite movie is full metal jacket ! (me too bro LOL)

speech wise, has a slight accent - he thinks it's not noticeable but BOY IT IS NOTICEABLE !!

this man right here LOVES ALCOHOLIC DRINKS SO MUCH! alcohol and cigs are his best friends! he loves beers, jägermeisters and baileys! Besides alcohol, he also loves kofola! (KOFOLA IS AMAZING)

when he was little, he loved going on little trips to Poprad Tatry, Štrbské Pleso or Starý Smokovec (i've been to these areas, they're DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!)

What if everything worked out just as darkling wanted to but a few hundred years into their relationship Alina falls in love with someone else again or cheats on him? Will he be as insane and unhinged about it like he was in the trilogy? This also makes me think of éminence grise darkling and how will he react to Alina actually being loyal to Nikolai. It's clear that he isn't taking the whole arrangement with Nikolai very well like he's barely keeping it together lol. I just really want Alina to you know hurt him in ever scenario lol and cheating/dumping his ass is like probably the best way she can do that.

So "what if everything worked out just as he wanted" is pulling a lot of weight here, because there are so many variables. Do we mean in the sense that Alina never minded his entire magical enslavement and world domination scheme? That she did but just submitted to him anyway? Because the more realistic scenario where he wins everything looks more like Alina being held in captivity and hating his guts forever, but then that's not really the vibe of the question But sure, let's say Baghra never did the thing and Alina was just uninformed enough that he managed to convince her that every step of his plan was absolutely necessary and she's gone along with it. You brought up Eminence Grise and yeah that would basically be how that scenario goes if they were to get the stag suddenly. She questions him plenty, but she's pretty ride or ride in that fic. But additionally, she already bitterly resents him and it hasn't even been a decade. Like, as cold, and withdrawn, and controlling as he is, he really doesn't need mass murders and magical enslavement to push her away, but add that in and she’s going to maybe go along with his plans and even believe that he’s right, but she’s also going to hate him for it, at least a little bit And then give it a few hundred years and you presumably have an Alina that is completely disillusioned with him, and who has become herself much colder (his own influence!) and more difficult to emotionally control, even if she’s resigned to otherwise capitulate to his desires. So I suspect he'd already be plenty unhappy with the situation before introducing someone else into the mix, because what he wants from her most, what she represents for him as the concept of the sun summoner, is emotional affirmation. Someone who through blind idolatry and belief in the fact that he’s been right about everything ever will justify his own choices and eternal unhappiness to himself. Which a real person could never actually provide, in the first place, but he’s going to be especially upset with a scenario where she’s been his worshipful protégée for some time before deciding that she hates him

But then throw in her taking a lover, already apparently for the first time in a century, then I think he probably would blow a gasket! Not necessarily even out of jealousy at first but from the simple fact that his control over her is slipping further and further Plan A would probably be murder. Just get rid of the interloper. If that's not an option, or he can exercise some self restraint and consider that Alina would likely find out and not forgive him then Plan B would be to sanction that relationship somehow. If he's letting it happen, then it's within his control now, and is also no longer necessarily an escape from him. He can magnanimously welcome this third person into the relationship with open arms, maintain a strict hierarchy while they are around, and then quietly discard them when he's made sure that the relationship has soured by sheer association with himself. Which isn't to say that's how neatly it would go in actuality, but that would be the plan. And he would definitely be internally like livid about it the entire fucking time, if that helps at all

I basically only have the single interpretation of these characters, to the point where it can get boring over multiple fics because things get repetitive lol but like in this case you can see that undercurrent in the other darknikolina fics I have written. There is basically a similar cheating scenario in this fic (I used to call it the S&S bad ending but it's not even the worst S&S ending I've written anymore). Where he's like "You are sleeping with Nikolai? No, we are sleeping with Nikolai" and in inserting himself, wrests control over the relationship* If that doesn't work/he still feels threatened, he probably would just do something drastic and try to drive some sort of wedge between them. Whether or not the transparency of his jealousy and malice backfires depends entirely on how much power he might hold over her, like literally. If it's a captivity scenario then she can't do much. If they're just like... supposed to be happily married or whatever then hello trilogy level blow up and falling out. And the thing is, he is petty, and he is volatile, and can be pushed to do drastic, stupid things in the name of getting the last word, so he could very well self destruct entirely because he was just that vindictive *That is basically eventually what he's going to try to fall back on in Emminence Grise as well. Though it's not quite going in the same way because Alina would be in a very different emotional state
