A few of my characters!

Drac Dliw, or just Drac, is an immortal shapeshifter. Their gender is yes, and they are about 2,044,169 years old. They enjoy shapeshifting and spying on people, and they definitely don't have an irrational fear of inverted cursors. Their soul is eternally bound to their body, so they cannot die or feel pain except for headaches.

Shifter, the other immortal shapeshifter. He is 16,199 and male. He enjoys alcohol the wilderness, and he doesn't really like shapeshifting. He also HATES the word discord. He has no idea why. He can't die, but he can get hurt. Shifter's powers are more.. limited than Drac's.

Talon the lizard mermaid! She is female, and is roughly 19. She also enjoys spying on people and the woods, and has a genuine disliking of water, specifically oceans. She isn't a shapeshifter, but she does have water bending abilities. She also has a very rational fear of capybaras.

Flower the tortle! She is almost 7 years old, and she loves just about everyone and everything. The big flower hat on her head somehow never dies, and is very durable. (She's the least traumatized, as her backstory is still in the making)

Sade, the half-robot lizard guy(kobold if we're talking dnd). He's about 22 and male. He used to enjoys engineering and mechanics, and he hates explosive things. He always wears a black cloak.

Artemis the Aarakocra. He is male and 48. He likes space and trees, and he hates.. *ahem* spiders, being called Artie, heights, mages, tieflings, and age. He has a robotic left leg from working in the army.

(I have decided that he is the main character for some reason)

I have way more ocs I just haven't drawn them yet. (I don't know how to draw them yet)

I'd love to see a one piece fic where we just see exagerated versions of their dynamic in a modern way, and let me explain this with Zoro.

First we'd see how he was left by his parents at the dojo, orphan Zoro getting foster care by Kuina's father, but i don't see him actually seeing that man as a father figure.

Now lets also say Kuina didn't die at a young age and rather stayed with him until she had just started middle school. At this point, if Zoro now, can call her a best friend, if they spent this long together, I think he would see her as a sibling and they would call each other sis and baby bro (to annoy him).

Again, Kuina doesn't die, but lets say she moves out of the country to other relatives, leaving Zoro alone when he was about to start middle school. So he one day has the 'got lost and never came back' incident during his first year. But everyone at the dojo thought he ran away bc Kuina left. So they didn't bother to look for him.

Lost and alone he manages to run into Mihawk, in this world, world champion. He knows Mihawk so he, even if he was ashamed, decided to ask him for directions to the nearest dojo.

Mihawk, upon seeing wet cat Zoro, decides to take care of him, as he asked where his parents were and Zoro told him he was an orphan.

Mihawk takes him under his wing and goes trough with the adoption process. At first Zoro doesn't really care as long as he has a place to train and stay but soon starts to see them as his actual family. By this time Perona was already adopted by Mihawk and is also and older sister for him.

Drac enrolls Zoro in school and gives him the training. They make him go to all the fancy schools Perona also goes/went to, cuz they don't trust Zoro's judgment to choose one.

And this also includes his university.

He decides to follow the same as Mihawk and in this uni he meets all his friends from different majors and also gets into the masculine judo club.

He doesn't know, but it's the fanciest uni in the country and Kuina is also there.

She didn't know about him, until she say him when he went to look for Perona (which she shares a few classes with) and instantly recognised his green hair.

She couldn't lie about being kindda hurt when she heard him call Perona older sis, but went on with life without saying anything.

Zoro took way longer to notice, bc it was Tashigi who pointed her out to him, when she was talking about this really tall girl she admires named Kuina and he was flabergasted.

Their encounter was emotional and awkward, but they decided to have a sparing session to test each other.

They used the unis campus for this, at night, and Kuina told him that she thought she was ready to challenge Mihawk and Zoro told her she still was no match for his old man, and Kuina went YOUR???

Another year, another rec list with some of the best xuexiao I've read these last 12 months!! >w<

And like last year's rec list, this isn't either exhaustive or limited to fics posted in 2023. It's just the things I have found, which I liked, and want to spread the love about ^-^

Here's, in no particular order, my favourite xuexiao (and occasional songxuexiao) fics. Also, take a look down below for other mxtx or danmei pairings!

You're mine by twilightshards. This is a phenomenal oneshot where Xue Yang does not wait patiently to take revenge on Baixue temple, but rather follows the annoying daoshi out of Jinlintai as soon as he gets off the hook. He catches up with them a couple of nights later, only to find Xiao Xingchen in a... compromised position. While moaning Xue Yang's name.

The tamed by @fieri-sentio-et-excrucior. Last year I recommended the wonderful The Prisoner of Jinlintai fic, and now we got a sequel to that!!! Exciting stuff, very exciting... Xiao Xingchen saves Xue Yang from his botched execution and Song Lan is there raging at what he thinks is a psycho taking full advantage of his friend's kindness. Absolutely loved it!

蛇 - shé by shoujorei. A spectacular oviposition fic with blind snake hybrid Xiao Xingchen and enemy-posing-as-housemate Xue Yang, who really didn't know what he was volunteering for when he offered to "help" daozhang with his next heat. An absolute delight!

good lies go bad by istilfearkanna One of the Yi City what-if's I like so much, showing what would happen if Song Lan is successful in killing Xue Yang and, as per canon, vows not to tell his friend anything. So naturally you have Xiao Xingchen happy about his rekindled friendship, but also deeply worried about his missing friend... breaks my heart every time T-T (thx lionfish13 for the rec!!!)

Down in the black sea by @10holmes. A mermaid AU which has to be the sweetest Xue Yang /Xiao Xingchen tale I've seen in a while, with xxc being a revered merman saving the life of a handsome pirate... without realizing that is the infamous Xue Yang, mermaid hunter and slayer of plenty of his kinsmen!! But of course, they fall in love. It's downright adorable (and deliciously angst-inducing!) Also, the worldbuilding in this one is marvelous!

promises, promises by an anonymous author. Time travel fic!!! This one follows Song Lan trying to right the wrongs of his life in the easiest way possible: that is, to eliminate Xue Yang before he has the chance to hurt anyone else. Except... he gets distracted saving the life of a poor child with a mangled left hand. Still ongoing, and XXC isn't in the picture yet, but the new chapters are highly anticipated and the writing style is so, so, so good.

the non-con opition by the same anonymous author. How do I know? None of your business!! But the awesome writing style continues here, as well as the song lan/xue yang being brought together by fate is just as awesome. It promises to be songxuexiao eventually, for now it's a delightful soulmates/omegaverse with alpha!Song Lan in rut nonconning the hell out of a mysterious omega with a foul mouth.

Sant Xingchen i el drac by @ergbolli45 A little sweet adorable spin of a traditional legend very dear to my heart. It's winter, the Yi City crew are bored around their campfire, and A-Qing wants a story. So, Xue Yang offers to tell a tale from some exotic land on the west about a little princess, a brave knight and a fearsome dragon.

sticking their dick in crazy by Sectionladvivi. I'm not generally one for modern AUs, but this one is such a stupid and shameless pwp that it skyrocketed through my rankings XD SongXueXiao, and oddly enough, the crazy one alluded in the title isn't Xue Yang!! Delicious and filthy. No thoughts, just horn.

Priceless by @fieri-sentio-et-excrucior. Another modern AU!! but how can I resist, when this is Xue Yang breaking and entering happily married songxiao's domicile, who were getting ready for a very sexy night... and end up, Song Lan tied up and forced to watch the criminal fuck Xiao Xingchen senseless (and unaware it's not his husband the one in bed with him!). Evil and sexy, another wonderful fic by such a wonderful author <3

hands, reaching out by @neriine. A retelling of Yi City but with mutation-like special powers, making it especially interesting when it comes to xuexiao's backstory (song lan is also there, in the background) and the night hunts. It's sweet, sweet, Xue Yang as always a murder gremlin who thinks he has it all under control when the first thing that he doesn't know half-way about is his own feelings... Very well-written, and creative in its worldbuilding!

THIS lovely picture is not from a fic (well, not yet, unless I manage to do something cute with it >w<) but serves as an example of all the wonderful pic manips @wangxianswuji has made, which maybe it's cheating a bit for a fanfic rec post, but. They're just so good. Go check their profile and drool with me ^-^

and speaking of art, I can't not mention @wrathyforest's art done for the fic Now that I see you, particularly one of my favourite moments with Xiao Xingchen defending Xue Yang from an undesirable... this fic was in last year's rec list, and very deservingly so!

ANd now for the other ships!

Love of my life, don't hurt me by @foreheadkissesforzewu-jun This is a delightful and spectacularly cruel tale of unrequired love by a gallant cultivator spiriting his soulmate away. At least, that's what Wen Zhuliu sees it, when in fact this fic is him kidnapping and brutally assaulting Lan Xichen, while following the events of the Wen war and the sunshot campaign. Loved it, but PLEASE read the tags.

Jade pillar, bending like reed by awkwardrecline. dark jades (and dark!Lan Xichen in particular) are so so sooo very dear to my heart... this fic has it all, a tyrannical Lan clan leader who will abuse his power left right and center, a jealous didi who wants nothing but possessive love, so much smut everywhere... Cloud Recesses is never as sexy as when the jades are so unrestrained, I love it! ^-^

My future mommy's mistake by tenwudzvrs. Is this fic pretty much what many people consider nono kinks? mpreg, noncon, xue yang being an utter dick? and do I love it precisely because of it? XD pregnant Wei Wuxian goes home one evening but comes across a ruffian in a back alley, who does everything to him up to and including speaking with his husband through the phone while nailing him to the wall. Lan Zhan isn't happy. I am delighted.

What brother needs, brother gets by @foreheadkissesforzewu-jun. a modern AU jadecest pwp which... to be honest, it's pure oral fixation Lan Xichen going to his didi after he got dumped by some idiot and Lan Wangji doing the best he can to comfort him. It's ridiculously shameless and incredibly enjoyable, just to see these two come to the conclusion that the best course of action is to fuck each other!! XD Wei Ying will find a surprise when he gets back home from his travels and finds his husband has collected another husband...

furious love by @alipeeps. From Till the end of the moon, a very nasty and wonderfully in-canon insight on the disastrous marriage between Ye Xiwu (the original) and Tantai Jin. Let's just say she decides to take her marital rights to the extreme, and using the very same lust potion that originally landed her in that marriage to begin with! Tantai Jin is one of those characters that truly suffer beautifully, and suffer he does here!

a fire, made high and wild by @judiwench. A fic for Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, which is a series that wormed its way into my soul. Sui Zhou desperately searches Tang Fan (him, please, him, not his corpse) only to find him... less than good. I was seriously debating between this one and is the festering that kills a man by the same author, but... Agh, they are both amazing snippets at their obvious mutual love, and the trauma that brings it to light. Highly recommend the series and these fics!

a long sleepless night by @dying-redshirt-noises. This one is from Mysterious Lotus Casebook, a wonderful three-way pwp in the Girls' Mansion where Fang Duobing gets doused with sex pollen... of course, Li Lianhua wants to help, but there is not much he can do with his yang disfunction. How handy to have someone like a-Fei nearby to rail the young master, then!! It is sexy and wonderfully in-canon, and I'm all for it.

And I'm probably still forgetting a few fics, there is nowhere near enough jadecest here compared to what I know I have read and enjoyed... Shame on me again for forgetting to bookmark more often than not.

I'm a bit sad that I barely found any of this year's authors on tumblr (don't know if they don't have accounts here, or do under different usernames) so if anyone knows about them, repost bc I'd like to engage and give them my most sincere praise.

Also, I will say I purposefully avoided tgcf fics for fear of spoilers until I read the whole book, so... next year I'm surely filling this with hualian and such!! >w<

Finally, since we're at it, I just will get a bit of self-promotion with the 5 fics I liked most of what I wrote on this year. I'm IMMENSELY PROUD to have produced 36 fics in this year of our lord 2023 (3 per month!!! omfg!!) and while I can't claim favourites, these might be the ones I'm most proud of:

Some kind of dream. Xuexiao roleplaying after a night hunt, with some nice power dynamics, very mutually enthusiastic consensual non-con, and Xue Yang all but confessing that he is Xiao Xingchen's worse enemy... Smut and fluff, all in one. I do love the 3 year bliss in Yi City, and all the in-canon opportunities it offers!!!

Incensed nights. An INSANE endeavor for kinktober, with WangXian dreaming each night a different cozy, cruel, smutty or simply crack-y scenario. 31 fics for the price of one!! multiple pairings, I can't stress how much Lan Zhan dreams of his brother, or wei wuxian's mind follows other ships... Extremely happy with this one, and I nearly went crazy, seriously.

Shards of morning nights and forbidden kisses. My attempt at jadecest, niecest and omegaverse, all in one. ANd quite successful, might I say! Both clan leaders Lan and Nie want to find a way to claim and marry their respective omega didis, but something something clan rules forces them to play a delicate and sexy political game. It ends in a very nice orgy XD

A Comedy of Yi City Errors. This one, I'm particularly happy with the sheer amount of planning and interlocking plotpoints it has, with Song Lan coming across Xiao Xingchen, a-Qing and Xue Yang without even realizing. I'm told it is quite funny... And I like it very much >w<

...what did you call it again? the only one not mdzs in the list, this is for Till the end of the moon and it's yet again Tantai Jin suffering in his so beautiful way! It was done for an exchange, following the premise: take a canon even and make it worse. Do you think ttj had it bad in the series, with the servants mistreating him in Ye Manor? Ya have seen nuffin!!!

there were so many things I wanted to write about them but I couldn’t (im still working on it, text and pics may be edited later, there may also be mistypes)

FRANKIE!!!⚡️

even though frankie is basically the result of her father’s experiment, she doesn’t like being referred as an object and tries living her life as a normal ghoul. frankie was made to be a perfect humanoid student. though she actually isn’t perfect and constantly struggles with social adaptation issues and some of her studies (such as swimming and other disciplines that require contact with liquids), frankie also sometimes confronts other students who demonstrate their disrespect to her for being “too good” and beloved by many teachers so that she wouldn’t give others a chance to shine bright (even though that’s not 100% true). oh, and for being “just a rag doll”. however, that doesn’t stop fran from being herself. she eventually learned to ignore the bullies and even managed to become friends with a bunch of meanies thanks to her lack of social adaptation evolving into pure ghoul simplicity and kindness. as well as that, frankie sometimes shows signs of overprotection not realizing that it potentially may cause problems or may be simply annoying. loves stem subjects, handicraft, helping others sincerely and obscure media no one talks about

note: frankie herself rarely uses they/them pronouns, they’re mostly used in reports of frankenstein and his wife and official documents. frankie is ok with it unless she’s referred as “it”. that’s just how she feels

DRACULAURA!!!🦇

a little bat crybaby aristocrat who sometimes faces disrespect from others for being a human-born vampire. it’s not like a sin or something, just teens being assholes to each other. she’s mostly seen with frankie and clawdeen or clawd wolf, drac’s boyfriend. draculaura becomes very anxious when she’s not with her friends. she and clawdeen founded a club for “hermit” or “rejected” monsters (they haven’t decided on the name yet) but they were the only permanent members until they met frankie who not only became a part of the club herself but also helped to bring new monsters and even friends, which is quite ironic. draculaura is a vegetarian and her current eating habits presumably developed from the illness which almost killed her before turning into a vampire. well, more like they were caused not by the illness itself but by the cause of this disease. kinda theatre kid. loves romantic stuff, gothic lolita fashion, sweets and writing her own novels which she rarely shows to others

note: later I remembered vampires don’t tolerate crosses but I really love it how they turned out so maybe there would be unholy unconsecrated crosses which do not affect them?? they’re not demonic, they just can be used as accessories by vampires. yeah that’s it. im yet to figure it all out

CLAWDEEN!!!🌖

a sassy werewolf who appreciates fashion, art and also designs her own clothes. clawdeen is a fashionista who dreams of becoming a popular model and designer. but she’s not a typical high school hyperfeminine diva girl, she really loves sports and she may act like a tomboy. clawdeen’s biggest flaw that makes her different from other werewolves is her inability to fully transform into a wolf at her age which is seen as some kind of rare disability. clawdeen doesn’t like talking about it and rarely hangs out with other werewolves except her siblings. as an extremely loyal ghoul, she also seems to have some traumatic experience in romance. that may explain why she tends to avoid romantic interactions and looks seemingly anxious when she witnesses them or when someone flirts with her. clawdeen is secretly envy for some of her friends and elder brother being happy in relationships but she can’t do anything about it. who knows, maybe she’ll find her happiness one someday. loves fashion, art, grunge music and true crime documentaries

I wanted to draw either a "Aim is getting better" joke or Stan teasing Ericka about her and Drac, but I couldn't get the words right, so...I just kept them. XD I feel like with their similar sense of humor, skewed morals, and love of chaos and sailing they'd have fun together. (Stan MIGHT be a little unnerved at how violent and insane she can be, but having been a monster hunter, it kinda makes sense. Besides, he's Ford's twin brother and possibly married Eda Clawthorne. Not like he ain't used to crazy. And Ericka's not gonna judge him for being a conman since she was an accomplice to genocide. Biggest thing is...He'd probably find Ericka's super happy friendly cheerful perfectiness a bit annoying before finding out she's actually alot like him. XD

MGA dolls aren’t really my style but the one doll i did like was rainbow high’s lily cheng. she’s beautiful but even she’s going for double her retail price or more. ngl i’m done buying dolls. at least collector ones. i’ll just get the G3 dracs i like until G3 MH dies cuz at least they’re accessible. this has gotten really annoying and tiring. i will try for any future skullector that may catch my eye (corpse bride when ??!!) but after that i’m skipping cuz they’re bringing out stuff i don’t care about anyway (hocus pocus, us, bettlejuice [seriously another set??🙄], megan)

i am grateful for the skullector dolls i have and i will continue to cherish them🖤 i was able to get them all during their initial drop🖤 if i hadn’t, i refuse to pay scalpers. fuck all that bs. sorry. i try not to be like that but T_T i can’t believe bratz (which i don’t even collect) was my last straw

Disastrous

It was a disaster, of course it was: with the storm and the traffic, the coffee stain on his sleeve. The paper with the typos that somehow got sent instead of the copy he worked on all night, and the stapler running out of—whatever you called stapler-ammo. Staples? Stupid. It was all so stupid, and he was twenty minutes late, and the meeting room still smelled damp, someone forgot to close the window. It was a miserable day, and Draco slumped behind his desk, miserably.

Then the faint scent of something sweet. Apples and, no, jasmine and, honeysuckle. Honeycomb? He was so tired, and a headache kept swirling behind his tightly-shut eyelids.

“Hi,” said someone who must have been leaning against the reception desk, arms crossed and an amused grin on his handsome, annoying face. Draco, pre-emptively, groaned.

“What,” came out more a plea than a question. He rubbed his forehead, begged his mind to work. Usually by now he’d whip up some witty retort or, something. But today, tired and miserable and disaster, it was all a disaster.

No response: the menace was stubborn, Draco would give him that. Eyebrow rising, then his head, slowly. “Yes?”

Potter was grinning, of course, and handsome, of course, perfectly suited up and nearly bursting out of the shirt’s tight seams. Why did he always have to be so, ugh. Gorgeous, supplied Draco’s head, unhelpfully.

“Your tea’s getting cold,” Potter said. Draco had no intention of drinking it—the gigantic cup was meant to ward off the pesky associates more than anything else. But nothing could ward off Potter.

“Thank you, I’ve noticed.”

“Where’s your croissant?”

The groan grew louder behind his grimace. “The shop ran out,” he managed between his teeth.

“Sorry? I didn’t catch that.”

“The shop,” anger-nunciating it, “ran—oh, you’re joking.” Potter’s pretty mouth was tearing up new records of a smile. “Why is that funny, pray?”

Why did he have to be so bloody gorgeous. “No reason. Only, I went to my favourite bakery today, and you won’t believe it, but…” deposited a paper bag on the counter.

Tightly, “What.”

“For you. I accidently got another one, and I knew you’d probably have a stressful morning with the meeting. It’s not poisoned, I promise.” Pushing the stupid bag in his face. “Go on. It’s good.”

It smelled good. Like Potter’s expensive aftershave and the faintest scent of almonds. Outside the window, the storm had reached critical measures, throwing buckets—cats and dogs—misery all around the city in grey. In the office, over-warmed and slightly staticky, Draco had… this.

“I have to go to the supply closet,” he said, stiffly rising out of his chair, “for more stapler-ammo.”

“Staples?” this adorably puppy-look of confusion. “Oh. I mean, yeah, I need to go there too. For… paperclips.”

“Sounds important,” Draco smirked. The headache behind his left eyebrow was mounting into something terrible, a pressure and a pull and a sigh.

“It is. Very important. Why don’t we go together? After you’ve had your pastry, of course.”

Impatiently huffing, Draco snatched the bag and stalked down the corridor. “You’re relentless,” he said too quietly. He was still tired and endlessly grumpy, and inside him this thing was still mounting, electric. “Come on, Potter, before the others arrive.”

“One day,” Potter started, but Draco had already backed him against the wall, pulled at his tie.

“Beg pardon? I didn’t catch that.” Potter just swallowed. His eyes were glued to Draco’s lips. “That’s what I thought. Come on, darling, be a good boy and shut the door for me.”

Wordlessly, Potter obeyed, and whatever annoyance still lingered inside him swiftly died down into something else, something bright.

“The meeting,” Potter said, weakly, already unfastening his tie, this frantic look in his eyes. “You—we can’t be late.”

“We won’t be,” with confidence he certainly hadn’t felt a minute ago. “On your knees, sweetheart.” And Potter—dropped. Looking up, somewhere between reverence and scorching affection.

“You’re lovely,” Draco told him, taking his chin like a promise. “Will you be good for me?”

What started as a disaster was shaping up into something quite good after all. Something bright and brilliant and—sweet.

Top five monster high characters

OH BOY OH MY THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS ASK!! i love them ALL so much so this is a hard decision but i do have a pretty thought out list:

1) Ghoulia Yelps

this might be surprising since my pfp is quite literally frankie stein but ghoulia is actually my #1 bbygirl beloved. which is interesting, because she was actually my least favourite as a kid and i was actively terrified of her (i had a serious fear of zombies). ghoulia is also extremely aromantic and no i will not be taking notes but if prompted (or even without. because i am nothing if not annoying) i can and will explain at length exactly why ghoulia is the #1 aro coded monster high character. also she’s just cool (ZOMBIE SCENE QUEEN AUGHHHH)

2) Robecca Steam

SHE IS A VICTORIAN STEAMPUNK ROBOT. need i say more. i don’t, but i will just bc i love her and want to share. if you don’t know her doll comes with spinnable cogs on her legs! and she travels around in canon with steam powered rocket boots. sick right, yes. her design is so over the top and cool in every way. i love her dorky polite personality and her inability to use any piece of technology invented after the year 1900. hashtag alive in the wrong era, but literal. bc she actually is, someone help this girl

3) Draculaura

who doesn’t love drac!!! she’s literally the sweetest girl alive. she was my absolute fave as a kid. draculaura on top (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ)

4) Abbey Bominable

ABBEY!!!!! i love her. literal ice queen and actual menace (complimentary). she is literally everyone’s favourite mean friend except she’s not really mean at all she’s just too real for some people. forever iconic, abbey ilysm

5) Scarah Screams

I was really debating giving this spot to Operetta (Operetta apologist for life btw) but the thing that broke the tie for me was down to character design. i love them both but omg. scarah is on another level she is literally freaky weirdgirl personified i think she is so cool y’all

…6) G3 Frankie Stein

OK I KNOW THIS IS A TOP 5 LIST… but this is a g1 list so far so it doesn’t count technically. g3 frankie is honestly the best thing about the reboot to me so far; i like some of the other reboot designs but personality wise, g3 frankie is absolutely my fave of the new cast. i genuinely adore them so so immensely everytime they’re on screen they make me smile :)

now it’s time for the RUNNERS UP (ie. i love them a lot but not quite top 5s):

Operetta:

people who hate on Operetta need to rewatch like all the movies and webisodes bc um. she has never done anything wrong actually yall just forgot what happened. leave my girl alone 🗣️

Hard having canine instincts sometimes...

The too familiar sounds of the trash cans outside the house being knocked over reached Frankie's ears. He had been about to work on some art. He even had the paints set and a new canvas set on it's easel. 

As much as he would had liked to ignore the sounds and get right to painting, Frankie knew that to ignore it would lead to a lot of clean up in the near future.

He walked out the front door and towards the side of the house where the garbage cans were kept on days where the garbage truck wasn't coming. What Frankie expected to see was raccoons. It was dusk and time to time raccoons would show up early. 

So it was a shock to Frankie to see Howler digging through the trash.

Thankfully there didn't really have neighbors. So no one else would witness Howler doing this. That did not make this discovery any better though. 

"Ahem!" Frankie said loudly, arms crossed.

Howler picked up on the fact that not only was he no longer alone but one of his boyfriends was standing there. And from the sounds of that ahem, judging him very thoroughly. He stopped digging through to sit up in the can, one arm hanging over the rim and look to Frankie.

"Oh, hey Frankie. What's up?" Howler asked.

Frankie was not looking all that amused about Howler's very apathetic reaction to being caught going through the trash. His arms stayed tightly crossed.

"We talked about this Howler." Frankie said. "The trash cans are not for you to browse through. That's what the fridge and the cupboards are for."

Howler huffed and crossed his arms.

"Oh so the raccoons have free reign to search through the trash but I don't?" Howler asked.

"The raccoons aren't supposed to be in the trash either. We're still trying to figure out how to keep them away from the trash." Frankie said.

Howler started to climb out of the trash can. This became more of a challenge then he had foreseen though and in his attempts to climb out he nearly tipped the whole can and himself over. Frankie caught them before werewolf and trash could spill onto the ground. 

The can was then righted up and Frankie easily picked Howler out of the trash can with one hand. Frankie was about to lecture Howler when Drac Jr peered around the corner of the house.

"Did Howler get into the trash again?" Drac Jr asked.

Frankie's expression said it all.

"I'm not sure which is worse, you or the raccoons." Frankie told Howler.

"I say I should drain at least one raccoon, send the others a message." Drac Jr said, walking closer to the two.

"That wouldn't be nice." Frankie pointed out.

Drac jr sighed.

"Yes, I know. I'm only joking... mostly. But don't worry. I'm not going to drain any raccoons. No matter how annoying they are." Drac Jr said.

"He said the same thing about door to door sales people when they use to come here." Howler said.

"Why did they stop coming?" Frankie asked.

"I kept telling them about the really big dog we had on the property." Drac Jr said

"But we don't have a dog." Frankie said with the smallest frown.

"Sure we do." Drac Jr said, pointing towards Howler.

Howler gasped.

"Are you saying you used me as a vague threat against door to door sales people?" Howler asked.

"I am. Is that okay?" Drac Jr asked.

Howler grinned and shook his head.

"Nah. I actually find that pretty funny." Howler said.

Mischief was still on Howler's mind. He looked at Drac Jr, grinned, and moved towards Drac Jr with open arms. Something that would not be so bad if he had not just been in the trash.

Drac Jr knew what Howler was going to do before he even did it.

"Don't you dare! Don't you even-" Drac Jr shouted.

Too late. Howler's arms wrapped around Drac Jr's torso. The smell was much stronger now that Howler was clutching onto him. And Drac Jr's vampire senses were strong even when not in full vampire form.

"Howler... I love you. But you stink." Drac jr said.

- she’s asking him what happened after he left the convent as if he didn’t…bite her? Which I guess he didn’t? What happened to her then? Oh am I asking too many questions for the first minute SORRY I’ll let them talk…it’s just a lot

- lol drac telling us not to get too attached to anyone on the Demeter. joke’s on you buddy I get attached to a paperclip sitting on my desk for too long (this is not the flex I think it is)

- ok so looks like we have a captain with a fear of hands. Sounds about right.

- I do not love how this priest is making a mother stake her own son while yelling DO IT at her. Like bro YOU DO IT WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO?!

- I forgot the Demeter was a Russian vessel, glad they kept that accurate!

- I think the newlyweds are going to annoy me idk why

- Agatha’s “wait what” when Count Dracula was introduced did get me. I’m a sucker for that kind of fourth wall break.

Hectorcard for the ship meme :>

• when or if I started shipping it:

Admittingly I started shipping it when I first watched the NFCV show. I got into it when I saw there was a community for Hectorcard although it was pretty dead. It didn't take long for me to move from the NFCV ver of Hectorcard to the CV Hectorcard, though.

• my thoughts:

They're pretty much the exact same person but with different fonts. Both being connected to Dracula, both can summon familiars and both had important people in their lives that died, which pretty much created their motivation for their story (Alucard fulfilling Lisa's wishes and Hector avenging Rosaly). I like the idea that they have mutual respect for each other had they ever met (which they probably did at one point)

• What makes me happy about them:

They're just quiet individuals who can deeply relate to each other. They can heal from their trauma together. Also I can imagine Alucard having deep respect for Hector for standing his ground and choosing not to follow the path of darkness anymore. Also love the idea that Hector being Alucard's protector/bodyguard before Drac went insane, and even though he quit the Devil Forgemaster's life he still cares about Alucard.

• What makes me sad about them:

That they had to see the people they loved the most dead, and that they had to fight Dracula, with Hector being his former servant and Alucard being his son.

There's also the fact that since Hector is a human and Alucard is a dhampir, Hector can't live forever and Alucard wouldn't want to force him into a life of eternity. He can't do it without feeling like he took Hector's humanity away, which he started to enjoy being one.

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

I don't have much annoyance other than the NCFV made Hector too soft and weak so the fandom often portrays him like it. And that for some reason Trevor is so mean to him???

• things I look for in art/fic:

I do wanna see a deep exploration of their dynamic because they definitely have a lot of potential. Sadly people only knew NCFV Hector and Alucard :(.

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

Definitely Rosaly for Hector and Richter for Alucard.

• My happily ever after for them:

They heal from their traumas and live peacefully 🥲

• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?

In my mind, just them being around with each other quietly enjoying each other's presence. And also talking about mundane stuff too...

Reasons why I love the g3 monster high characters=Nickelodeon series💀🎀

Clawdeen: I love that clawdeen is half human and the lore with her mom is so interesting she reminds me so much of Luz toh too

Draculaura : her being a witch is cool and I just love how popular she is in the monster world

Frankie : them is being nonbinary makes so much sense and I found them way more interesting than g1 Frankie

Lagoona : I love how she can go into shark mode and she’s so funny and her aesthetic is so pretty

Cleo : I love her valley girl voice I impersonate it all the time for fun and I find it funny how drac is more popular than her lol

Deuce : honestly deuce is ok to me I don’t find him that interesting

Ghoulia : I love how she just pop into some scenes in the show and her skateboarding is so cool

Heath : his design is definitely my less favorite but his personality is way better than in g1

Clawd : he’s honestly the same compared to g1 not much to say tbh

Manny : he’s way better than g1 manny hands down if u don’t agree “side eye”

Gil : one of my fav mh boy designs I hope his personality is great too

Abbey : she’s so cute I love her hairstyle

Twyla : talk about great representation and her powers are so cool

Howleen : I lover her voice and her fit is so cool but I hope she still related to clawdeen in some way

Romulus : annoying still but I like how he actually looks like a teenager in this gen unlike g1

Barkimedes : a new g3 character he’s so adorable I ship him and toralei

Toralei : speaking of her I lover her British accent it makes her more annoying

Headmistress BG : her design is so cool and it’s identical to the live action

Miss O’shriek : she reminds me of miss frizzle from the magic school bus

Dracula : the whole g3 fandom crush

Nefera : I was scared of her being nice but I’m okay with it now

Spectra : I found her g1 voice annoying I definitely prefer the new one but her outfit is kinda boring

Iris : she needs more scenes I need to see manny and her together
