Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

#should've just yoinked someone else's design and reference them #i feel like im drawing bloodhound/velahound/octane/omen/kayo/shaxx/kaiser all at the same time #i basically just look at a body part and see what my brain has for it and slap it on #probably the worst you can go for character design #doesn't have a lot of bones because i can't come up with any original design and i don't wanna actually search for any reference for ideas #oh well. i literally came up with this only when i need to draw his lineart for yesterday's comic so not exactly surprising #i love capes and mysterious hooded pure black shadowed head so not even gonna design a helmet for him #also solves the bone plug issue because for the love of void i can't even understand half of what ordan is saying #that's the consequence of giving all your skill points on mathy stuff and none on literature #i mean i guess the bone plugs are somewhere at or above the neck??? so it's gonna be covered up anyways #im probably gonna go for roughly this design for ordan karris for now #i feel like i shouldn't even let him talk because any dialogues i come up with ruins his image #but idk. how many cool and stern characters' image have i ruined up until this point? yeah definitely not the first time #warframe #warframe ordan karris #my art

i think it would be really funny if regis had a kind of fucked-up haircut

“he could save everyone except himself” but like with regard to the barbery, and not the surgery. kind of like when chefs don’t cook very well for themselves. or when fashion designers wear sweatpants all day.

but moreover. i think the aesthetic effects of a bad haircut would help to dampen his natural lugosian allure and good looks. to reduce any potential suspicions

#by fucked-up i mean asymmetrical and messy. maybe a little wiry #this is partially why i like to draw regis with some bangs over one eye #an angel of your rising sign darkens the evening with his one good eye…#it’s like he cannot be at his full potential #there’s like a code to it i made up #bangs over one eye = normal #bangs over both eyes (and head a little lowered) = drunk. in a despairing or disoriented state #bangs blown out of both eyes by invisible wind that somehow manifests to dramatically caress the hair of vampires = this is at castle stygg #at the same time. when he has long hair then it must be tied back for reasons of ~medicine and hygiene~. like the rolled-up sleeves :)#but the bang ideas can be used in tandem with long hair headcanons #one of my friends once said that geralt regis and angouleme all need hair over their forehead bc they're large forehead gang LOL agreed #the other reason for bangs over his eyes is that the visual design communicates that he doesn’t take things too serious...#like regis is chaotic good. cahir is lawful good #cahir keeps his hair out of his face. he has curly hair and that does not = messy hair. you can have neatly kept curly hair #i go back and forth on regis' hair texture but messy is a quality that sticks with me on the topic #like his hair is messy in the same way that his cottage was messy #in a way that communicates humility and introversion and being too deep in your own thoughts to #concern yourself with what other people may think if they saw you. and not expecting guests lol #the elbow-high diaries #c: regis #like he is wearing black robes (with no mentioned embellishments or adornments). girl what do you think his hair looks like #he's not starring in a l'oreal commercial anytime soon #however when they get to beauclair and attend the october banquet maybe it's a different story for one night #i love the idea of regis dressing in that velvet kaftan and cleaning up and geralt questioning like has he always been this fine?#cleaning up figuratively as in doing your hair and wearing nice clothes. bc in the literal sense regis is the cleanest of them all #the herbs have antibacterial antifungal antipest properties or whatever

Oooohhh the urge to yap about my ocs and the world they live in......

#is this the product of growing up lonely with one best friend for 11 years of your life so when she wasnt in school you mae up imaginary #friends and it started off as one but then steadily increased and now your 14 with an entire kingdom with a high population of around 132 #and couting because you couldnt stop making ocs based on your interests or hyperfixations or literally anything else to the point where you #could scroll on insta or tt for 5 minutes and think about your little kingdom and think of a character that would fill about 50 plot holes #and this kingdom got so out of hand in your head that you decided to make religons countries languages royal families politics new laws of #physics powers and more because one day you watched avatar the last airbender and decided people could now do water manipulation and #suddenly 50% of characters now possess some sort of magical ability and they all live in a world together that somehow retains peace and #love because the actual name of the planet they live on is peace but just in the language that you made up in your mind. just a little #reminder i started this at 6-7 years old with my gacha life phase going strong which is also how i designed each and every one of my ocs btw #going back this is originally being my imaginary friends I MYSELF AM IMPLEMENTED INTO THIS STORY as it started with my old online persona #that has now become a separate character and now I am a character inside this whole lore so every day i am always thinking about this planet #i made in my head and did i mention ive my favourite genres are action mystery and fantasy??? yeah so thats a main theme #so like theres tons of fighting and betrayal outside of the planet which dives deep into character lores and the whole story line that #this planet follows and i have separated aus of if this wasnt a peaceful planet and if there was some sort of intergalactic war because yes #i am a voltron fan where influential ocs die and thinking or writing that causes me to genuinely tear but because like ive said THESE ARE MY #IMAGINARY FRIENDS they may be imaginary but ive had them for YEARS and theyve been friends with me longer than 99% of my friends so they #mean the world to me so i tend to stray away from the war aus and push that mkre towards my other fics and headcanons thag are heartbreaking #... so anyways!!!#kadens yap session #no but srsly if i were to actually talk to people about this id be shaking in my boots i could not and itd take HOURS #its just a silly world i live in thays all :3
