Aw I love these. InoSaku and GaaLee are probably my favorites (and KakaGai, but they're totally canon in my heart <3)

naruto driving headcanons

Naruto - definitely not licensed. debatable whether he actually knows which one is the brake pedal. as long as Sakura is alive he will not be allowed behind the wheel of a car. unknowable/10

Sasuke - also not technically licensed, but all things considered a pretty decent driver. probably started driving well before he was legally old enough to. 7.5/10

Sakura - road rage extraordinaire. swears up and down she goes the speed limit but in truth goes at minimum 10 over. “speed limit is a suggestion” more like speed limit is a challenge. at the very least she gets them where they need to go. 5.5/10

Sai - never learned to drive until he met team 7. between Naruto and Sakura’s influences, he won’t be getting licensed for at least the next 6 years. good luck/10

Shikamaru - truly cannot be arsed. if asked to drive he claims to not have a license, but he definitely does. another unknowable/10 but I like to think in a pinch he’d be pretty good at it.

Choji - reliable driver but has a tendency to be late. gets stressed out when he has more than a few passengers. 6/10

Ino - wants to be a passenger princess soo badly. unfortunately for her, she’s the best on her team. being good at driving is her curse. woefully, 10/10

Kiba - team 8’s designated driver, believe it or not. he is…not good at it, per se, but better than the rest of them. having two sets of eyes on the road tends to help. 6.5/10

Hinata - gets so stressed out she forgets how to brake. she’ll be white knuckling the wheel going 50 in a residential while her passengers pray for their lives in the backseat. -2/10 her dad’s insurance is through the roof

Shino - morally opposed to driving. he hasn’t confirmed why but the running theory is that a swarm of his bugs faceplanted into the windshield once and traumatized him. unknowable/10

Neji - doesn’t believe in right-of-way. refuses to use his mirrors. whole heartedly believes he is god’s gift to the interstate. by some miracle has never gotten into a crash, but if any of his passengers are sensible people he is banned from the wheel. 0/10

Tenten - makes Sakura’s road rage look like divinely inspired patience. honestly she’s not even mad she just enjoys it. has to be actively talked down from brake checking people. banned from the wheel 0/10

Lee - while technically a perfect driver (obeys every speed limit, never makes an illegal turn, maneuvers like butter), having him in the front seat is such an intolerable experience he’s also banned from the wheel. those unfortunate enough to have witnessed it don’t speak of their experience, but rumors involve something along the lines of a custom-made Gai inspirational quotes driving playlist. 0/10

Temari - grew up driving her brothers around. Absolutely hates it. when she’s in a car she’s got her feet up on the dashboard and always has the aux. if she were to drive again, 9.5/10

Gaara - an…extremely calm, level headed driver? side effect of RBF is that everyone is always waiting for him to snap and run someone over. he never has. probably listens to calming classical music or something while in traffic jams. 10000/10

Kankuro - I find it funny to believe he’s the actual passenger princess. unknowable/10

Rewriting "Naruto" (Part I)

If this looks familiar, that's because it is. I decided to delete the OG post and repost this with a couple more changes, and I'm actually gonna start working on rewriting Part II now--which will probably have more changes than Part I.

Prologue--Land of Waves: Definitely create a more healthy team dynamic with team 7; Kakashi isn't biased towards Sasuke (though he does admit it's easier to train a fellow sharingan user), Sakura is more compassionate and a better listener, not being Sasuke-obsessed or high-strung (with her feelings for him coming from sympathy before getting to know him and becoming more substantial), and Sasuke, while still planning on killing Itachi, is more open to forming relationships again (because that's the only way I buy the series ending like it did with him), privately contemplating on how he's grown to care for his sensei and teammates. Following Naruto and Sasuke's battle against Haku, Sakura realizes she has to get stronger, vowing to be of better help in the future. It's also established from the get-go that Sharingan, while extremely powerful, isn't OP; it's genjutsu can still be avoided and it can't see through all genjutsu, but it can only be outdone by a powerful opponent.

Chunin Exams: I'd introduce Sakura's parents here, who voice their concern of her becoming a ninja, explaining her insecurities. It also brings to light the backstories and families of other characters (ie Tenten's family and last name, whether or not Lee is an orphan, the Ino-Shika-Cho family relationship, Naruto growing up with Kiba, Shikamaru, and Choji as friends, Asuma being Sarutobi's son, Kiba's dreams of being Hokage, etc.) I'd also enjoy seeing Kabuto give Sakura little medical tips to help her team, foreshadowing her future potential. Her battle against the sound ninja are much cooler, as she performs genjutsu for the first time, involving Inner Sakura, perhaps it being a family kekkei genkai (maybe even connected to a dojutsu). Along with this, Ino can use her mind transfer jutsu to create hallucinations in Sakura's mind while she possesses her, only to be booted out by Inner Sakura--or maybe Ino performs a flower-related genjutsu that distracts Sakura while Ino possesses her. Ino and Sakura's friendship is expanded upon, and it's revealed their relationships have ebbs and flows independant of Sasuke, with Ino occasionally being fake/petty and Sakura stooping to her level. This is largely driven by shared insecurity, with Ino trying to live up to her family's reputation and Sakura trying to defy her family expectations. Sakura manages to beat Ino narrowly, and she battles Dosu in the finals at beats him before he's killed. It's also implied Sakura may be developing feelings for Lee. Not to mention, despite Naruto being the main character, he doesn't have to be the only person to inspire others. I enjoy the idea that Hinata's will is what truly opens Neji's eyes, not just Naruto's conviction, as well as Lee inspiring Gaara.

Konoha Crush: I'd also expand on Hiruzen's relationship with Orochimaru and the first two hokages, giving us a bit more to work with than the extended tug-of-war sequence. We get more childhood flashbacks of the sand trio, especially their relationships with each other, their parents, and Yashamaru. I'd also like for Baki to reveal to Gaara that Yashamaru was made to lie to him about his and Karura's love for him, under threat that the Kazekage would kill Gaara if Yashamaru didn't emotionally scar him. Sakura uses her blossoming genjutsu (inspired by Ino's bush clover genjutsu) in order to distract Gaara/Shikkaku, but only manages to hide Sasuke before Gaara incapacitates her. After Naruto and Gaara's battle, Sakura and Sasuke come to Naruto's aid, as Temari and Kankuro do for Gaara, making him see how they care about him. Plus put a bit more focus on Asuma, as he loses his father in this arc, just as Konohamaru loses his grandfather.

Search For Tsunade: Give Kurenai a better battle with Itachi. He's SUPER powerful, but Kurenai is supposed to be the best genjutsu user in the village; she'd have to at least be a good distraction for him. After Itachi beats Sasuke, Sasuke wonders if his friendships are holding him back, but simultaneously fears losing them to Itachi once more. And the whole "Itachi revelation" from part 2 is hinted at a LOT more (I was gonna write it off, but it's a big motivator for Sasuke later on, so I think it'd make more sense if Itachi wasn't super toxic) by having him take down Sasuke easily without torturing him and prolonging his pain. It's also vaguely alluded to that while the Akatsuki are dangerous, they weren't without their own humanity, with some of them being less evil than others. While it'd be a bit weird, I like the idea of Sakura joining Jiraya and Naruto to find Tsunade, as she's concerned about Sasuke and wants to learn medical skills from Tsunade. I'd like more flashbacks with Dan and Nawaki to be spread out a bit more for more emotional impact. I also think Kabuto should be hyped up a bit more; he's apparently a ninja whose jutsu exceeds Tsunade in her prime. Given this, it'd be cool to see him doing a grander battle against Tsunade, as well as Orochimaru taking an almost passive role in the fight against Tsunade and Jiraya. Given advice by Kabuto in the past, Sakura is able to clear Jiraya's head a little, and she and Naruto try to defend Tsunade against Kabuto. Tsunade still has an aversion to blood after the battle, but it isn't as bad as it was before.

Sasuke Recovery Mission: Sakura trains with Shizune and Kurenai before Sasuke leaves to join Orochimaru, becoming advanced for a ninja her age. She manages to incapacitate Sasuke and Naruto before they harm each other at the hospital, only further fueling Sasuke's feelings of inferiority. Sasuke laments throwing away his friendships, but hopes that after he kills Itachi, perhaps he can pick up the pieces--you know, actually thinking about what comes after. Sakura attempts to stop him, but he refuses to acknowledge any feelings he has for his team, and leaves. Sakura manages to inflict minor damage on him via poison needles, slowing him down, though he still defeats her. The girls join the boys to rescue Sasuke, with the defeat of the sound ninja only coming from the combined efforts of the Leaf and Sand ninja, not the Sand ninja alone. Sakura and Naruto team up against Sasuke, but given Sasuke's curse mark and Naruto's 9-tailed chakra, she's outclassed in this moment (having not gained the Strength of a Hundred seal), though she manages to use genjutsu following the battle to convince Sasuke not to deal further harm to Naruto, and she promised (similar to Naruto) that she would drag him back to the village.

I may tweak some more details later, but for now I'm moving onto Part II.

Keep in mind I will be talking about the FanFiction version of Ayumu in this post! The version of Ayumu I roleplay is her own separate deal! When her bio is done and put up on my Master Post, I won't only RP Ayumu interacting with exclusively Neji writers, lol.

Neji Hyūga is already a very recognizable character, being one of my very first crushes when I started really getting into anime as a thirteen to fourteen-year-old. In fact, he's the reason I later bought and read the manga... all hundred-heccin'-something volumes of it. Much like Sesshōmaru, it was his long hair, elegance, intellect, and stoic demeanor that won me over at first. It also amused me to watch him just be cool; he always felt like the definitive head of his team. Even if Lee wasn't to be sneezed at as a fighter, I saw more leadership qualities in Neji that Lee lacked. I also felt that he had the most interesting plight among the Konoha thirteen as someone from a branch in his clan where he was basically expected to serve and protect the head family deemed "above" him on the social-political totem pole the Hyūga were built on. Despite his innate talent rivaling the daughters of the clan's head at the time, he'd always be considered lesser because of his birth. In ways, he felt like more of an underdog to me than Naruto did—though that also has a lot to do with Naruto's characterization as the "optimistic headstrong protagonist" Kishimoto had going. (I kinda wish Kishi had leaned more into Naruto having some resentment towards the Leaf, but that's a post for another day)

So what'd teenage me do? Tailor an OC to be another half for him because GDI this man deserves happiness, not getting skewered like a redshirt on an overgrown splinter. If they had to have someone, ANYONE, sacrifice themself for Hinata... tbh, I wish it'd been someone on her team like Kiba or Shino, so we didn't have to basically do the thing he was "born to do" according to Clan tradition asfdhjrhyud—

So, as a result, I created Ayumu! Who was, by every definition, a Mary Sue at first!! (It was bad... oh god, was it bad...) But after I ditched her for a few years when I lost interest in Naruto, I returned to her when I turned seventeen and completely rehauled her. Leading to the designs she has now.

This is Ayumu's Part 1/Naruto Design. The Settei was done by a friend of mine on IG called Sento.OC, whom I commissioned.

Then, we have Ayumu's Part 2/Shippuden Design, also by Sento.

When designing an OC for Neji, I wanted to go more complimentary than contrary. It just didn't feel like it'd make sense for Neji to ever be romantically interested in someone with bombastic energy like Naruto or Lee—mans doesn't have the patience to live with that on a daily basis, LOL! So I thought, "Hey, Neji's a pretty traditional guy; why not give him a traditional woman?" and Ayumu ended up as a very grounded, calm, and analytical person. A bit more on the conservative side, similar to Neji. All the while having occasional bursts of warm, thoughtful moments where she lights up but doesn't explode. She's very, for lack of a better term off the top of my head, "normal" compared to Naruto's big personality, Sasuke's broodiness, Shikamaru's laziness, or Temari's ferocity. It's why I imagine her getting along very well with people like Tenten or Kakashi, too, who tend to be the metaphorical straight man to the more comedic characters around them. Characters like Gai and Lee and Naruto can only be funny, after all, if they're offset by some typically.

Ayumu is also a close-range fire-style specialist with a Kekkei Genkai related to it, so her style compliments Neji's pretty well imo. They can be in a shoulder-to-shoulder or back-to-back situation and cover one another while knowing the other is nearby and safely under their wing. Both characters have some insecurity and neglect issues but for very different reasons. However, this means they relate to one another over their feelings and traumas, and neither really feels a need to "fix" the other. It's what makes them last, in my opinion. They just quietly comfort each other (also slap whoever tries to put the other down, lol), and that's it. ...They did kinda try to scratch each other's eyes out at first, but that'll be its own post! Once they get over their big hurdle and understand each other, they end up just being a pair of supportive friends to lovers 90% of the time. The other 10% is them getting fucked with by the plot around them because Neji barely gets any screen time in Shippudennnnnnn! ;-;

Brief Description:

Kaori has reddish-pink hair and pink eyes.

Her academy grades were nothing to look at, with Lee being the only one who scored worse than her during their graduation exam. She has very low stamina, and has little strength. She tries to push herself though, which causes her to pass out often. What she lacks in physical strength, though, she more than makes up in her ability to use Genjutsu. Poisons and Senbon are also incorporated in her abilities, to make her jutsu that more deadly.

Kaori is short-tempered, but it mainly stems from a lack of self esteem in herself. Hates talking about it, so if she's opening up to you, you're special no doubt about it. Really admires Rock Lee and his constant determination and positive outlook on life. Strives to also be like that, but it's hard to change her ways. Will mellow out a bit as she gets older.

What I Ship Because I’ve Been Semi-Vague

I talk about shipping a lot, but since I talk about whatever’s popular over what I actually like (this may or may not change), you might not know what I actually ship. Or you do because you stalked me or read the few fanfictions that I posted here and will probably move because it’s weird to have fanfics on a mostly commentary focused blog.

Regardless, for anyone who’s interested, here’s what I actually do like. Also, just to make sure that all of my credibility goes down the toilet, all accept one (maybe two) of these is a crackship.

The Ships I Sold My Soul To

These are the ships I like the most. Yes, I’ve already imagined AUs with them and I’ve given them all children. I promise I have a thought process that makes sense (to me) behind them all. However, I don’t want to turn this into a 100,000 word essay, so I’ll try to summarize what I like about them in 1-2 (potentially run-on) sentences. Just know, there’s more to all of these.

NejiNaru (Neji Hyuga x Naruto Uzumaki) - Both characters had their lives decided/changed at birth against their will, but walked out of it with vastly different perspectives. This combined with them having complimentary personalities makes me think that they could have very positive impacts on each other’s lives if they were given just a bit more time to get invested in each other.

GaaSaku (Gaara x Sakura Haruno) - Both characters would greatly benefit from having (emotional) support in a relationship and both characters are deathly loyal to a fault. They also both need and have different perspectives that they wouldn’t hesitate in sharing with each other.

SasuIno (Sasuke Uchiha x Ino Yamanaka) - Both are highly confident, independent people who wouldn’t take shit from each other (which is important when both absolutely pull some shit). They’re also loyal to anyone who earns it, are very driven, don’t stand for people getting hurt unjustly, care deeply for their clans and clan traditions, and roll their eyes at their friends’ shenanigans despite everyone knowing that they’d both kill and die for them.

ChouTen (Chouji Akimichi x TenTen) - They are similar in the best ways and different where it counts. TenTen would motivate Chouji to work harder then complain with him about how hard it is to work hard and Chouji would absolutely help her have more faith in ninjas being able to become great with hard work alone.

ShikaKiba (Shikamaru Nara x Kiba Inuzuka) - Like Sasuke and Ino, they come across as very different on the outside but have a lot of similarities when you dig a little deeper. Along with them being good to have in each other’s lives, each other’s families would also be good influences on them (Shikamaru would benefit from being around very expressive and strong female role models, and Kiba would benefit from being around patient people with higher IQs).

TemaHina (Temari x Hinata Hyuga) - They could relate with each other when it comes to growing up as the older sisters trained to be weapons since birth overlooked in favor of their very talented younger siblings with physically absent moms and emotionally absent, abusive fathers that are not only skilled ninja but also hold great social-political power, but they could still offer each other different perspectives. Temari could help Hinata gain more confidence and stand up for herself while Hinata can help Temari learn how to approach situations with kindness rather than the anger/violence that’s been taught to her.

ShinoLee (Shino Aburame x Rock Lee) - These two are so fucking different and they cover each other’s blind spots so fucking well. Rock Lee is very passionate and memorable, but he doesn’t realize he can rely on others (seriously, he does everything alone) while Shino doesn’t have direction and is insecure about not sticking out, but he’s characterized as being very aware of the importance of teamwork, even when it’s with people outside of team 8.

KakuDei (Kakuzu x Deidara) - Both characters value respect and strength, are able to keep a clear mind even when their short tempers get the better of them, and are deceptively intelligent. Kakuzu could also benefit from taking more risks and Deidara could benefit from keeping his head on the ground, both of which the other could force help them to do.

ItaHida (Itachi Uchiha x Hidan) - Both of them are so devoted to their beliefs that it’s actually a problem (they both only think inside the box and are the opposite of self aware) and both of them would jump at the opportunity to call the other out on it. In the cases where they wouldn’t be able to influence (Itachi making Hidan a bit more patient, Hidan making Itachi more willing to call out bullshit, etc) or call out each other enough to change, they’d be able to easily cover for the other’s weaknesses (like, so easily that they’d be a horrific combat pair).

KisaSaso (Kisame Hoshigaki x Sasori) - These two know what it’s like to believe one thing for years and years then have your worldview shattered in an instant, making them potentially very affirming for each other. They both also value honesty and commit when they decide to trust someone or do something because of their past experiences.

Comfort Ships

These are the ships that I don’t have too much reason behind (even if there is some), I’m not super committed to finding or making content for, and I don’t really think of them in any deep or sophisticated or analytic way. They’re comfy, they’re chill, and that’s all I want them to be.

SasuKarin (Sasuke Uchiha x Karin Uzumaki) - I’ve read so many think pieces about these two and their relationship that this was inevitable. I did this to myself.

ChouSaku (Chouji Akimichi x Sakura Haruno) - They both have body image issues and a deep love for their friends. They are so fluffy, I want them to cook together, and their child would be nicknamed Cherry.

LeeSaku (Rock Lee x Sakura Haruno) - Their development during the Chunin Exams still lives rent free in my brain and they’re both such romantics. This one I switch in and out of shipping.

LeeHina (Rock Lee x Hinata Hyuga) - They have a weird amount of similarities and they’d be cute. That’s it.

SasuHina (Sasuke Uchiha x Hinata Hyuga) - They look nice together and have a bit of a night sky aesthetic. This one is the one that I think about the least, like, I’m not entirely sure if I actually ship them or I just like looking at fanart of them.

Temari's Overrated

overrated.

I don't dislike Temari's character, I do find her overrated in comparison to other characters and here's why.

Let's look into character wise

Temari's not a bad character either but she literally has like 10 pages worth of screen time in Part 1. 5 pages worth in Part 2 (Shippuden) . Only reason she gets hyped so much is because Naruto fandom has convinced itself to believe a “badass girl who's kinda mean” equals best female character ever.

Her entire character in has been:

Gaara's older sister, She's great at wind style and Temari maybe has a crush on Shikamaru.

My other point, the ShikaTema ship. When you're on any Naruto social media (Twitter, reddit, tiktok etc). You've definitely seen people say it's “the best ship” or “the only ship that makes sense” and “the one ship that everyone likes”. I don't have any problems with it.

But, where were are the romantic moments of Shikatema that made them the best couple in the entire series? The only time they ever even got romantically close to one another was when Shikamaru was looking for a wedding gift for Naruto and Hinata after The Last movie.

Please do not use any filler screencaps because if it didn't happen in the manga its not canon.

And Shikamaru made it clear and that he wasn’t romantically into Temari before this event due to how oblivious he was to Temari.

People shit on Naruto for being oblivious/dense to Hinata’s feelings despite the fact that there is a canon explanation as to why he couldn’t understand Hinata’s feelings. But nobody says anything about Shikamaru being dense to Temari as well despite having a good upbringing and understanding how his parents speak with each other romantically.

Certain (some not all) people claim that Shikamaru and Temari already had chemistry since OG Naruto and only panel they use to support it this:

the only conversation between Shikamaru and Temari that can be seen as chemistry in a sense without it being half-way or taken out of context like most people do with this couple.

People like to compare them to other ships that had WAY more moments and screentime. Just because they have no drama.

most ships, these two characters have little to no interactions. What makes it worse, you can't even give them the benefit of the doubt for having offscreen interactions as when they live three days away from each other. Meanwhile, something like Naruto and Hinata or Sai and Ino likely had interacted offscreen 

Let's be honest here, the author said it himself Naruto is a battle shōnen manga romance was never a main focus. It will always be secondary part or not there at all like other shōnen.

This isn't to say Temari is weak I say she is at least Jonin level

As far as war arc, Temari literally doesn't due much at all compared to others. Manga whatever the anime adds is NOT CANON

She did one thing in war arc :

With the help of two other shinobi, she managed to damage base edo third raikage. Assuming he was actually blitzed and didn't just decide to tank it (since they stated they haven't inflicted any significant damage, implying he likely didn't even care to dodge)

This is anime-only aka filler that's not canon to manga

(Even if you did consider this a feat, Madara just dusted himself off like nothing happen and set up for fire style.)

Comparing other Konoha memebers

Can you tell me something important that Temari ever did to develop the plot? People insult female characters like sakura, karin and Ino but they contributed far more than temari. Heck, even tenten with her little screentime helped more than Temari.

Sakura: Contributed alot during the war, became one of the best medical ninja

Hinata: Assisted Ino in redirecting the ten-tails attack by linking her byakugan to Ino’s mind transfer. Saved the whole shinobi alliance including Naruto, Killer B, Might Guy and Kakashi. Helped Naruto when he was about to give-in after witnessing neji’s death.

Ino: Linked everybody multiple times during the war together. She was the only person capable of doing that from her clan. Besides her father.

Karin: Helped Tsunade retore her reserves. Also destroyed multiple shinzu arms that zetsu tried to use to kill team taka and the shinobi. She was one of the most important memebers that sasuke had in team taka.

Tenten: A memeber of the team 10(chapter258) who was sent to rescue Temari’s brother while temari did absolutely nothing. Temari only arrived after gaara had died. Tenten was also one of those who destroyed more than one of kakuzu’s heart.

I shouldn't have say much about Mei & Tsunade.

Could list more but, I want to keep this short.

Temari as a character, has no purpose after the chunin exams arc, where her best feats was defeating Tenten (basically fodder) and defeating an already weakened Tayuya.

Which begs the question.how is Temari a well written character if she's barely around. Only Gaara was the most relevant sibling. The sand village in general wasn't that important. Most notable characters were Gaara, Chiyo and Sasori that were relevant from the Sand. Maybe If I push it, their father the previous Kage and the bijuu Shukaku.

( Edit: Looking back & a comment I can't reply back for a odd reason. Kankuro did have a bit of a bigger role than his sister)

Temari seems like one of the most overrated characters in the show upon her non relevant appearances for the plot compared to other female characters.

again I don't dislike this character, I just think in certain aspects she's overrated.

How strong is everyone based on pure muscle, no Chakura? Whatever characters you wanna rank, just who has great muscle strength and who is really weak physically in your opinion.

Sakura, Obito, Rock Lee, Temari, and Naruto.

Sakura is shown to be physically very strong without chakra, and there's probably a lot left hidden under the surface. She clearly still trains as an adult to a degree, seeing she can still fight. And she is still an active ninja, and mother, so she wouldn't stop growing that strength either.

Obito has many secrets and hasn't had his full abilities revealed all that much, so I imagine he'd have a lot of physical strength that's hidden away. Especially after having to rebuild himself as a teenager. Under the pressure of Madara, the Zetsu and his own standards, he'd have pushed himself pretty hard and I don't think that'd change as he grows.

Rock Lee is all about physical combat and taijutsu, as he can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu. Although he does have chakra, I don't think he'd use what he has in battle with the exception of standing on water or walls. Lee trains incredibly, if not body destroyingly, hard to get to where he wants to be.

Temari swings that massive fan around like it's nothing, and it's probably fairly heavy too. Using it the way she does would give her amazing core and arm strength, just using the fan is a workout. She'd train even harder without it so she can protect her loved ones if her fan was ever destroyed.

Naruto is last, because he does canonically rely on his ninjutsu a lot. But I'm a bitch and will ensure he has more diversity in his combat. Naruto also works very hard, but not nearly as hard as the others when it comes to Taijutsu or using weapons. Still, I think he'd still have decent physical strength just for backup.

For physically weak characters, Shikamaru, Ino, Itachi, Hinata and Tenten.

Shikamaru and Ino's techniques don't really involve a need for strength, as they're more long distance attacks. They do perform taijutsu as well, but with Shikamaru's lazier behaviour I don't think he'd care for building muscle, and Ino doesn't seem the type to build muscle for strength but rather for appearance.

Itachi is basically dying the entire time he's shown. Going blind and suffering from a disease. He uses his Sharingan and ninjutsu much more than any taijutsu, and I'm certain it's because his body can't physically handle that.

Hinata and Tenten are pretty tied for me. I think their strengths aren't in the physical sense. Hinata, as a Hyuuga, has a specific fighting style that requires chakra, the Byakugan, etc. but I doubt outside of that she'd be very strong. She's very timid, and most likely doesn't train outside of the gentle fist. Granted, I do think the training and fighting style is strong, but Neji would be far stronger than her because he does more. More experience and what not. Tenten's strength I think ends with being able to lift and control heavy or powerful weapons. Unlike Temari, I don't think she'd work much without the weapons.

But I could be wrong.

Do you think in the Naruto world Sakura is considered ugly because I think she is. Many people said that she is ugly etc. even Naruto didn’t defend her when someone called her ugly and he called her that. Also what female and male characters are considered attracitve in Naruto world? I was sad that Naruto is not considered handsome because I think he is and in the real world he would be really handsome with his blonde hair, blue eyes and tanned skin and Sasuke wouldn’t.

I think in Naruto’s world, 

Sasuke is the Chick-Magnet.... Sakura, Karin literally wanted to get inside his pants so badly just because of his Cool appearance, Ino likes him, Mei, Temari, TenTen remarked his appearance as Handsome and Cute.... 

I know some of our fans think he attracts men too... namely Naruto, Suigetsu, Jugo.... I think Naruto indeed likes his looks but that’s not the primary factor he was attracted to him... Suigetsu just stood behind and hit Sasuke in one scene... I can’t consider any of these instances as Sasuke attracting Men with his beauty.  

Naruto is not appealing to Women... 

In Chapter 96, After Naruto got knocked out by the intensive Training after Summoning Gamabunta Frog for the first time, Shikamaru visits him... He casually remarked here that, “You two (Naruto and Chouji) aren’t the type to have girls come visit you...”

Again, this was referenced in Chapter 280

“Don’t feel bad.... Women are always weak at the knees for the elite, Cool types...”

So, Gaara is also Attractive to girls, to an extent... Whereas Naruto is not. 

But Naruto gets the heart & trust of many men in Narutoverse.... Namely Sasuke, Gaara, Neji, Shikamaru, Sai..... Not in a romantic way though... (that’s not the case for Sasuke and Gaara).... 

I seriously wonder.... Why did Kishi made his self-projected character to not be appealing to Women???

In Chapter 312, Sai called Sakura as Ugly-Dog....

To which, Naruto said...

In Chapter 297.... 

When Naruto got his consciousness back after Yamato suppressed Kyuubi’s Chakra... He got up and saw Sakura’s eyes were teared up... to which 

Naruto assumed that Sai mocked her appearance and unintentionally started to project himself by adding extra words like “Butt - Ugly freak of Nature”.... LOL......

In Chapter 284,

When Team 7 was introduced to a new member, Sai..... He just mocked Sakura’s appearance as “I like nice... Ugly women like you”

To which Naruto was just silent.... 

Man!!!! Atleast Sakura condemned Sai’s attitude for calling Naruto “a little prick with no balls”.... But Naruto was just Unresponsive when Sai insulted Sakura..... LOLOLOL...

In Chapter 34,

Konohamaru was really calling Sakura as “Ugly Huge Forehead”...... To which Naruto was also seen hilariously silent.... Oooff!!!!! 

In Chapter 21,

Naruto finds Haku, a Boy who dressed up like a girl, to be more cuter than Sakura.... Interesting....

In Chapter 17, 

During Tree Climbing Training, Kakashi asked Sakura to take a theory class about Chakra..... In where Kakashi compliments her like, “Beautiful Young girl, Sakura’s lesson on Chakra”....... 

Hilariously,

Naruto, instead of concentrating on Sakura’s explanation, he was stuck on Kakashi’s compliment about Sakura’s looks and was wondering whether she is really Beautiful.....   [[Okay I don’t know whether Kakashi says it or Sakura says she is Beautiful.... Either way, it’s hilarious.... Because if Sakura herself claims herself to be Beautiful then that shows how idiotic she is]]

And Finally.... According the Kishimoto’s own words.... In his Character Design Commentary about Sakura.....

Kishi explicitly says, “She’s not Cute!!”... “ A Girl that’s not cute!!”

LOL.... Like I said before, Naruto is the projection of Kishimoto and the creator himself says Sakura is not Cute..... And in all the above panels, Naruto also feels the same way (implicitly)..... 

So, to tie this thread by piecing all the panels together.......

In Chapter 245, 

When Sakura asked about her appearance.... Naruto told, “You haven’t changed at all!!”

So, What gives???

Sakura looks the same from Part 1... That is, Sakura looks somewhat Ugly or Not Cute according to Naruto’s eyes. He is not attracted or appreciative of her beauty.... in both Part 1 and Part 2.

And it seems Naruto only called her Cute only Once.... But there is a Translation Error in it... I will attach both....

In Chapter 3, 

Naruto monologues to himself that, “A Very cute girl that I like a Lot”..... But the raw translation shows me, “A Cute Girl who cares about me”.....

Oh!!! The word Naruto used here is “気になる” which means Ki Ni Naru..... Meaning, Care about, Worry about, Concern about, anxious about.... The very same word Sasuke used in his Confession in 698 where he said, “I started to worry about you”..... 

Did she really cared about him???? What made Naruto think that she cared about him??? She was literally an asshole to badmouth about his Orphan Status in the very next scene... Probably poor Naruto thought that whenever Sakura angrily hits him, he thought she was giving him the Attention while totally being oblivious to the fact that she hates him for coming in between her and Sasuke. 

Anyways.... 

I think after this moment Naruto never remarked Sakura being Cute or Beautiful...

If this were to occur 1 or 2 times, we can take this as a joke.... But Naruto commenting about Sakura’s appearance (directly or indirectly) has been going on for 9 times in all the 700 chapters combined. And in all those 9 times, Naruto never hinted at Sakura being Beautiful or Cute for about 8 times... It can’t be a Joke, you see, if it is on your face.

I was sad that Naruto is not considered handsome because I think he is and in the real world he would be really handsome with his blonde hair, blue eyes and tanned skin and Sasuke wouldn’t.

I think it’s not entirely about Handsomeness, you know.... Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder... It’s all about how the character conducts itself, Anon. 

Tell me, how many girls in their Teens/Early Twenties wish for their man to be Outgoing, Goofy, Funny, Ever smiling, Makes them Happy, Comfortable and Warm???? I am not pointing every girls.... Am just asking about the majority..... I mean, think back to your High School Years... and find who was the Popular Boy... That Popular Boy must be that Rich, Arrogant, Cool looking brat who never gave his time of his Day to any girls.... Or that one boy who is very good at Sports.... 

Sasuke is popular because he is good at Sports (Jutsu), Rich (Prestigious Clan), Arrogant (he is not.... but he gives off that vibe), Cool looking (that’s obvious... His gaze is sharp and piercing for most girls), who never gives his time of his Day to any girls....  So, Sasuke checks all the box to be Popular, Handsome and Hot. 

These kind of characters gives those girls a sense of irresistibility and makes them vie for his attention because he is Unreachable... And if he ended up giving a girl his attention, then that girl can brag to her peers that “Yaay.... Look at me, I’m the Girl he sought out”..... A sense of being special and unique... [[Surprisingly this is the mentality of Sakura and her wankers who supports SS... “Look at us!!! We got Sasuke”....]]

Whereas Naruto kind of Boys will never be preferred by most Girls because he is accessible and approachable... You can easily talk to him, converse with him casually about anything but he won’t give you the sense of being Special. And hence, even if Naruto looks Handsome, Girls won’t consider him to be as such. 

And that’s why Sakura lost her interest on Charasuke even though he looks really Handsome....

Because he won’t make her feel Special.

Whereas with Menma, he gives off this serious, mysterious, cold gaze.. unlike Naruto. 

Which makes those Girls flocking towards him!!! 

The more he pushes away, the more she feels irresistible..... Again, not everyone. Naruto never pushes anyone and hence he is not considered Handsome among Girls in Narutoverse.

If,in the Chunin Exams,you could see a fanon fight which one would u pick?(Sasuke vs Neji,Naruto vs Gaara,Kiba vs TenTen etc.)

I would have really liked to see Sasuke vs Neji! They're both so serious and tragic with similar roles in their team, definitely had a major opportunity to become rivals.

Shikamaru vs Gaara (taking out the fact that shikamaru would immediately forfeit which is the smart thing) or Shino vs Gaara I think would be cool OR Ino vs Gaara bc Gaara stays in one place a lot and lets his sand do all the work which would give her a good opportunity to do the mind transfer if she manages to dodge his sand (after which he definitely would have killed her bc Shukaku but yeah)

I would also match up Tenten vs Hinata bc they both have a connection thru Neji. I think it would be a nice match up bc Tenten has experience against a Hyuga (who is stronger than Hinata so 1010 would actually have a chance) and Hinata would have to work on getting closer to Tenten to do any damage which would be hard. It could go either way I think.

Another one which I thought about alot would be Rock Lee vs Sakura ***IF Sakura was actually trained in genjutsu bc she's a GENJUTSU TYPE LIKE WHAT KAKASHI SAID. Why did the writers say that and not let Sakura actually utilize genjutsu outside of just being talented at dispersing it.

Anyways, yes if Sakura attained a profiency in genjutsu I think it would be a really interesting fight because it would be a taijutsu vs genjutsu kinda fight.

Obviously, Lee wouldn't go all out but I don't think he would draw out the fight just bc he likes Sakura (I think he would consider it disrespectful) so he would try to end the match swiftly but respectfully? Since genjutsu is less flashy to others I think it would be less known if someone was proficient in it, so Sakura has some wiggle room to trap him in a genjutsu which he would fall prey to.

I think it would be a really sad fight for Lee if he were to lose to a genjutsu user who he would have beat hands down in taijutsu, because thats something he can't control and would have to rely on a teammate (like Neji) to dispel it for him. This fight would also motivate Sakura more to work on her taijutsu bc Lee would totally wipe the floor with her if he didn't give her a little leeway (ha) bc they're friends and she wasn't proficient in genjutsu.

Anyways, w/out any genjutsu ability Lee would win immediately and Sakura would be motivated either way. But I would like this fight anyways bc they're friends and it would be emotional.

Other matches I would like to see but don't feel like explaining are: Naruto vs Temari, Shino vs Hinata, Choji vs Sakura, Sasuke vs Shikamaru, Kankuro vs Neji, and Kiba vs Ino

Since u tend to put nejiten, kakagai, shikatema and kankiba could u please talk about why u like them?? Im curious but also adore hoe u talk about stuff!!

Hmmm. OK I'll start with KakaGai since they're probably my 2TP (is that a thing? The Naruto ship I love the most 2nd to GaaLee of course.)

Anyway, there's nothing about KakaGai that has me convinced they're anything less than canonically married. Like, from the moment Gai called Kakashi his man of destiny, they've been joined at the hip. Gai has been there for Kakashi through every loss, every trauma, just this consistent presence in the background. When he offered to basically sacrifice himself into ANBU because he saw Kakashi being swallowed by the darkness, my heart cried for both of them. And that's not to say that it's one sided! Kakashi was there to defend Gai when his father was attacked. He said he would have given up *anything* to heal Gai's leg. He's gone from finding Gai a nuisance to acknowledging him as a true rival, someone who he fights back to back with. They know each other so intimately, I can't see their relationship as anything but canon.

NejiTen and ShikaTema are about the only het ships I can tolerate in Naruto (except for ChouIno but nobody ever writes them). I think they're both good balances, personality wise.

Neji needs someone to soften him up a bit while not letting on he's being softened up, and Tenten’s combination of brashness and affection is perfect for that. He needs to be able to let loose and be silly, and Tenten can bring that, since she plays a great straight man to her teammates' lunacy. And as we've seen in canon (well, filler), Tenten struggles with not being the way a kunoichi "should" be, and I think Neji, who--if he had been given the chance to mature--likely would have bucked tradition, is exactly the sort of person to accept her for who she is, to help her develop her strengths, and (crucially) to happily listen while she rants for hours about ninja tools.

ShikaTema have a similarly complimentary dynamics. Temari is one of the few kunoichi who I think wouldn't tolerate any of his bullshit (we're ignoring Boruto here because FUCK Temari being a housewife like ... who *is* that??) In my mind, Shikamaru is a devoted househusband and they split their time between Suna and Konoha, because neither's job is more important. Plus they're just the endgame ship with the most development in canon - there's a clear mutual respect and attraction from the beginning, and Temari was literally like "Hey if we go to this hot spring I'm not gonna be able to resist throwing myself at you" and tbh I love a forward woman who knows what she wants (i.e. that D).

Aaaand that brings us to KanKiba. Frankly I just think they're a hilarious chaos couple. Like they're just a couple of dirty, grungy guys with arrested development and mommy/daddy issues. Their entire dynamic in my mind is a hilarious dance of "if the balls don't touch its not gay" and neither of them washing their asses.

Naruto Blank Period Timeline

I made this because 1) I'm bored, 2) I need to know a clear timeline of Blank Period in order to write fanfic, 3) I'm basically obsessed with timelines; nice to be able to understand everything in order. Keep in mind, this is almost all subjective and approximate. I put the comfort of relationship development first.

10 Oct 081 – The Fourth Shinobi World War ends.

Age: Naruto, Sasuke, Sai, Kiba, Shikamaru, Ino, Chouji, Lee, Tenten (16). Hinata, Sakura, Shino (15). Neji (17). Kakashi, Gai (30)

As can be seen here, Kakashi was born in 051 after the founding of Konoha. My timeline benchmark is this, including if you're wondering why there's a sudden Year 081 in this text.

Naruto turns 16 at the end of the war instead of 17 because Naruto is 12-13 years old in Part I, and Part II starts 2.5 years after, meaning Naruto is over 15 years old. There's no way the start of part II and the end of the war are more than a few months apart, as Kurenai gave birth to Mirai in the autumn after.

Gai entered the Academy a year earlier from Kakashi (remember, Kakashi graduated early, and it's no way that he and the other jounin-sensei entered the Academy in the same year). However, he was actually born in January of the same year. During the war, Kakashi has just turned 30, while Gai will soon turn 31.

I see it like this; for example, you have to be six years old to apply to the Academy. Because like in Japan, the Academy starts in April, so you must be six years old before April. 

For Academy Year 072 enrollment, your birthday must be between 1 Apr 065 to 31 Mar 066. So Konoha 13's birth order are as follows: Neji, Sai, Lee, then the following year: Tenten, Chouji, Kiba, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Ino, Naruto, and Hinata. Shino and Sakura were born in the following year.

Around Nov 081 – Sarutobi Mirai is born

Shikamaru said she was born at the depth of autumn in Shikamaru Hiden.

Jun 081 – Kakashi Hiden, then Sasuke left the village

Age: Kakashi (30), Gai (31), Rookie 9 (16) except Chouji (17)

In manga chapter 699, it is seen that Sasuke left the village before Naruto received the prosthetic hand. Still, Kakashi has already become Hokage; even the carving of his face on the Monument has been completed. And it is said that Sasuke was pardoned for his crimes on behalf of the Rokudaime. 

The problem is, in Kakashi Hiden, the prologue is written 'almost a year after the war', then chapter 1 takes place two months later. Naruto received a prosthetic hand at this two-month gap, while Kakashi's first Hokage assignment was at the story's end. 

The caption in Kakashi Hiden's prologue is 'almost a year after the war'. ‘Almost a year after the war' means closer to six months or more than six months or less. Supposedly, Kakashi Hiden takes place around 8-10-14 months after the war, but I shortened it to 6-8-12 months because of this clash of events. I made Sasuke leave the village after Kakashi Hiden not before to make time for Team 7, so they can learn how to be friends again. This is important.

Oct 083 – Shikamaru Hiden, Shikamaru-Temari start dating at the end of the story

Age: Shikamaru (18), Temari (21), Mirai (2/3)

Shikamaru Hiden takes place two years after the war but before The Last. I put it in October to really fit two years, also so that Shikamaru turns 18 first. It made me more comfortable getting him to start dating Temari than she was at 17.

Late Dec 0083/Early Jan 084: The Last, Naruto-Hinata start dating at the end of the story

Ages: Naruto, Shikamaru, Sasuke (18), Hinata (17/18), Sakura (17), Sai (19), Hanabi (11), Konohamaru (12/13), Kakashi (32)

According to Naruto chapter 78, Hanabi is five years younger than Hinata. I put her birthday on 27 Mar 071, while Hinata was born on 27 Mar 065. They are five years and three months apart. Konohamaru was 8 years old in part I during Naruto's 12 years, so he was born on 30 Dec 069.

Mar 084 – Sakura Hiden, Chouji-Karui start dating at the beginning of the story, Ino-Sai start dating at the end of the story

Age: Sakura (17/18), Sai, Karui (19), Ino, Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata, Chouji (18), Kakashi (32)

Karui was born on 14 Feb 065. This puts her in the same situation to Chouji as Gai to Kakashi

Jun 084 – Sasuke Shinden; Sasuke returns to Konoha and starts dating Sakura

Age: Sasuke, Sakura (18)

Apr 087 – Konoha Hiden, Naruto and Hinata get married

Ages: Rookie 9, Gaara (21), Tenten, Lee, Sai, Kankuro (22), Iruka (31), Kakashi (35), Mirai (5)

These are the events that I moved the order of because:

1) If we follow canon order, the gap between The Last and Konoha Hiden is only a few months, maybe a year. When Boruto is a genin, people said it has been already 15 years after the war ended, which means Hinata gave birth to him when she was 20-ish.

The actual timeline if you want to follow canon strict is December/January is the Last, then a few months/a year later in April they married at age 19. March next year, Boruto was born. 

I want to give them time to get to know each other. You know, deciding to get married with less than four months of dating is a BIG rush.  Like, you started dating today, and tomorrow you propose...???

2) Konoha Hiden should have happened before Sasuke Shinden, but let's just say Sasuke is on another long-emergency mission here.

3) This, I think, makes Temari's nervous reaction reasonable; she and Shikamaru had been dating for some time and might have considered marriage at some point. Not become nervous just after a few not-so-so-dates.

4) In general, this allows couples to date longer and have more time to get to know each other, which is precisely what I needed. And I consider how complicated the bureaucracy of Karui and Temari moving to Konoha, especially the latter because she's the Kazekage's older sister.

5) Iruka is 4 years younger than Kakashi and 10 years older than Naruto

6) Temari is 3 years older than Shikamaru; she has born on 23 Aug 062. Kankuro is a year younger, but I can't get him born in 063 because that puts him only 8 months 22 days apart from Temari. This couldn't have happened, considering Karura's puerperal phase, and Kankuro not stated as not-full-term-baby. So, he was born on 15 May 064, 1 year 8 months 22 days younger than Temari.

7) Gaara was born prematurely on 19 Jan 066, 1 year 8 months 4 days after Kankuro. He should be a year younger than Naruto, which I originally meant to be a year younger in terms of the Academy school year (means he was born 067), but this wouldn't match the likely age for him to be made Kazekage. 

Gaara just became Kazekage in the Konoha-Suna Chunin Exam filler arc, which somehow happened July/December 080 (the chunin exams are held biannually, remember?). Still, I lean more towards July, which makes Konoha 13, who takes the exam, matches canon's information on how old they were when they became chunin. Having Gaara born in 067 meant making him Kazekage at 13; this is... just NO. 

So I made him born 'a year' after Naruto, aka being in a different year, but actually, he's only a few months younger. This will match their age when they appear in canon; Temari 15, Kankuro 14, and Gaara 12.

8) Unless the Academy's school year requirement changes to being X years old with birthday period on 1 Jan to 31 Dec, Shikadai must be six months older than Boruto. This means, in Konoha Hiden, Temari should have been pregnant, but we know she isn't. That's why the canon timeline makes no sense; I think the concept used is that as soon as the years go by, everyone is considered a year older, even if they haven't had a birthday. This is the cause of the mess, I believe.

Jul 087 – Gaara Hiden, Shikamaru and Temari got engaged and will be getting married in a few months

Ages: Gaara, Shikamaru (21), Kankuro (23), Temari (24)

What happened in Gaara Hiden in canon was he was already 20 years old, AND Temari was going to marry Shikamaru, so there was a crisis of heir to the Kazekage seat with full Suna blood. That's why he was asked to marry.

I could have put Gaara Hiden in 083, but I didn't do it for the sake of story consistency because it meant that Shikamaru had to get engaged and married before Naruto.

Around Sep-Dec 087 – InoShikaCho got married.

Ages: Ino, Shikamaru (21/22), Temari (25), Karui, Chouji (22), Sai (22/23)

Among the next generation (those born to a couple of ordinary parents, we didn't talk about Mitsuki), Chouchou is the eldest, born 8 Aug. 

I want to keep them having children at relatively young age so that the future timeline doesn't change too much; Chouchou will be born in 088. However, for Chouchou to be born full-term (at least 39 weeks), Chouji and Karui must be married at least in mid-November. I put the order of marriage starting from Shikamaru, Chouji, then Ino because Inojin is the youngest. I imagine they got married as sequentially as possible to keep their children the same age, though if Ino got married in mid-Mar 088, it would still make sense.

Jun 088 – Sasuke and Sakura get married and travel together

Age: Sasuke, Sakura (22)

I put their marriage last because 1) Sarada is the youngest among the next generation of children, 2) I think Sasuke needs closure about Itachi, as I said here before deciding to get married and have children. You could have made this wedding happen earlier, but it's hard to go any further because it's determined by Sarada's birthday.

8 Aug 088 – Akimichi Chouchou was born to Chouji (23) and Karui (23)

23 Sep 088 – Nara Shikadai born to Shikamaru (23) and Temari (26)

5 Dec 088 – Yamanaka Inojin born to Ino (23) and Sai (24)

28 Mar 089 – Uzumaki Boruto was born to Naruto (23) and Hinata (23)

31 Mar 089 – Uchiha Sarada born Sasuke (23) and Sakura (23)

There is an opinion that Sarada was born early; that's why Karin, who helped deliver her at Orochimaru's hideout and her parents didn't have time to go to the hospital. I think at least if Sarada was born early, she should be born at 37 weeks pregnancy or more (pregnancy usually 40 weeks-long; 37 weeks is the early term, but the baby is considered healthy enough and not premature anymore), so that Sasuke and Sakura are confident enough travelling with a newborn in the wilderness. Getting Sasuke and Sakura married in June gives Sarada time to become a baby 37-40 weeks at birth, depending on the conception date.

04 Jun 091 – Uzumaki Himawari born to Naruto (25) and Hinata (25) as younger sister of Boruto (2)

Himawari is listed as 2 years younger than Boruto, but her date of birth is not listed. I gave her this date assuming the chunin exams in Boruto the Movie take place around mid-June to July, thus making Himawari's birthday sometime before the exams start. I could have Himawari's birthday around December and the chunin exams taking place around that month. However, Boruto episode 51 shows a pretty fresh flashback of Boruto's birthday, which means his and Himawari's birthdays aren't that far apart.

It was impossible and painful to piece together all the information from the Naruto databook(s), anime, manga, and novels into one coherent timeline. Yet, I tried my best to make sense of it by including as much information as possible.

I might try to make a Post-Blank timeline (Sasuke's departure again, when Naruto becomes Hokage) to Boruto later and list people's birth dates and years.

If there is any misinformation regarding this text, especially regarding the calculation of conception and pregnancy, you can told me, because I am really not an expert and just guessing with calculator.

Building off the college AU (1st post here)

Hidan is a student that has been at university for 8 years and still doesn’t have his MA. He’s so focused on the parties and bar fights he forgets he’s paying out the ass for an education. Gets extremely pissed every time someone calls him Hayden instead of Hidan.

Kakazu is an economics and business professor. He owns at least three of his own corporations and has significant knowledge in stocks and trading. He has a short temper but he is actually a really good teacher.

Shikamaru is torn ok? He’s a lil genius and he knows he should do something like aerospace engineering or biochemistry, but he just can’t make up his mind because they all take so much work. He probably picks a career path that’s is both intellectual and straightforward. Theoretical’s are fun when it’s purely curiosity, but working in a field of almost entirely theoretical anything is a nightmare for him. It’s a shame, he’d be good at it too.

Choji is a food science major. Not a culinary student, a food scientist. They’re different. He’s also minoring in philosophy and history because he just likes those subjects.

Tsunade is one of the biomedicine professors. She yells a lot. You can tell she’s passionate about what she does but omg her class is HARD. Sakura and Ino have this class together, they are lab partners.

Jiraiya teaches in the English department, specifically about literature. He used to tell his students about his... novels. But then someone actually looked them up, read them, and proceeded to tell the class what they were all about. He got roasted to Hell, other teachers heard about it. He has never lived it down. Gets smacked around by Tsunade for making female students feel uncomfortable.

Aoba teaches computer science and coding classes. He’s quiet and gets mistaken for a student more often than he would like to admit. His grading scale and assignment load are fair, and most of his students like him. He accepts late work with a 5% penalty for every day the assignment is late.

Sasuke never grew out of his emo phase. Girls used to love that shit, but he can’t get a girlfriend to save his life now. Ino beat him up and Itachi lectured him about being cruel. He goes to university across the country from his brother, he has a chip on his shoulder for something that happened when they were kids. Itachi has tried righting it, and their parents encourage Sasuke to go to group therapy. He does not, he would rather brood. It’s for the AeStHeTiC.

Asuma, i mentioned before teaches engineering. He also rides a motorcycle and turns up to class in worn jeans and a car-grease stained t-shirt. He does minor mechanic work on the side for fun. He tries to straighten out Shikamaru because he knows that he could do great things. Constantly brings flowers to Kurenai’s class room to remind people that she (and he) are married.

Temari is majoring in mechanical engineering. She’s one of the only girls in her class and will physically fight the men that look at her sideways. We stan a strong, independent queen.

Kankuro isn’t even a student. He’s made his own way making very elaborate wooden furniture. He just comes to visit his siblings—but the reason he’s actually coming by is to go to parties. Temari has thrown him out several times. Usually Gaara offers him his couch out of pity.

Gaara is majoring in poli-sci like Naruto. They end up being good friends, but Nardo’s abrasive personality does shock him at first. He introduces him to Kankuro, they actually hit it off. Temari cannot stand the three of them together, but she’s happy that Gaara had made a friend.

Tenten is studying to be a physical therapist, she’s also minoring in psychology and biology. She works on campus and lives in the dorms, she’s thought about joining a sorority, but when she checked one out to pledge, she realized they were not for her. She didn’t even think that most of the girls even liked each other. But it’s okay, she ends up making friends with a girl (Hinata) that lives on her floor.

Hinata told her parents that she was going to med school to be a surgeon, because that’s what they want her to do. But she’s double majoring in chemistry and biomedicine instead, she wants to do research and help people by finding new treatments for diseases. Her cousin Neji knows she changed her major, but he hasn’t said anything.

Neji is following his family’s example and going to med school to be a surgeon. He finds out that he really likes pediatric medicine, and wants to work in that. He likes child patients over adult patients, they also tend to complain less.
