I was listening to the song, I Know Those Eyes/This Man Is Dead, and the most evil AU came into my mind.

Count of Monte Cristo X Epic = pain upon pain.

What if Odysseus became the Warrior Athene wanted him to be, but it came with a cost...?

Or the crew's mutiny result in something else? Something more dire?

Or during Zues's intervention, the situation took a turn for the worse?

Odysseus taking his revenge down a dangerous path...

This is basically taking all of the characters in Epic the Musical, and basically giving them their opposite personalities and traits.

Or putting them into a blender, adding a chunk of angst, a dash of pain and another good portion of angst.

Also, add in a splash of tears for good measure. Because we're talking about all of them either, betraying, plotting or moving on...

I mean... Both were kinda sailors...

'I know those eyes/This man is dead' from 'The count of Monte Cristo' gives off such strong Suit Saeran/mc vibes for me, and I want to scream about it. I also like to interpret it as mc seeing Suit's pain and recognizing it as the same pain that Ray has experienced, but Suit misinterprets it as mc merely trying to bring back Ray, so he continues to push back against their attempts to get through to him. Brb definitely not crying about this 💀

Isn't that the game you've been playing since he woke up? Suit Saeran can't believe that you would care about him for even a second because to him, the only thing you could truly care for would be the gentle soul that actually wanted to coddle you like a doll. How could you ever want to care for somebody like him? He is angry and broken, sour and cruel, he is nothing redeemable in his eyes.

So, why do you look at him as if you were? What if he is? No. That can never be true otherwise his life would be a lie and he can't have that. He needs to survive, he needs to stay angry. That's the only way to live in this place.

He can't be vulnerable otherwise it'll lead to destruction.
