ik i'm not the first to say this but I absolulty adore Arin and Sora finding out bits of Lloyd's past!

Like arin is the ninja Super Fan but the books and news only cover so much. And Lloyd, back in like Season 1, probably doesn't have much written about him. But I think my favorite is Arin and Sora finding out about season Eight.

Like im sure the news covered a lot of the SOG stuff and even Lloyd's battle with Garmadon. Both in s8 and at the end of hunted. But they don't really go into Detail yk. But then one day Arin is digging a ltitle too deep and he finds THE video. the one harumi brodcast. THe one where Garmadon nearly destroys Lloyd.

Arin can't look away. It's so hard to see his teacher, his *friend* get beaten within an inch of his life. He tries to pretend he didn't see it. But yk, the signs are there, now that he knows how to look. The odd green glow to Lloyd's eyes. The strange scars on his chest that he won't talk about. Now that arin knows where it's all from, he can't unsee it.

Idk if he would ever yk tell Lloyd about it. But I think Lloyd figures out that he knows Something. Maybe someone mentions Harumi and Lloyd gets a little too quiet. And suddenly Arin is noticing how all the other ninja seem to hover around Lloyd at the mention of her name. How Lloyd is off for days afterwards. There's a lot that Lloyd can't/won't tell the kids. But that's one thing i don't think he'd be able to hide for forever.

friend wanted to see my tumblr, and when i told him i can’t show it to him bc it’s basically my personal diary he went “oh so I can’t see it but a bunch of strangers on tumblr can??” he literally does not get me. no one will get me like the people in my phone get me

#It’s just so different #even though it’s public it still feels secret and safe. i feel comfy sharing a lot more on here than I do in my actual day to day life lol #in my head I’m also just speaking to myself 90% of the time which helps #if a friend off tumblr saw my thoughts I’d feel so weird ab it #esp bc they might get the vagueposting about certain situations and tell mutual friends #no thank u. this is for me. I’m not about to start censoring my thoughts bc someone I know knows my tumblr #u guys literally saw me have LIVE BREAKDOWNS #meanwhile I’ll have the worst fucking day in history and tell no one about it. I’m already cripplingly private but way more so in real life #this is basically a low stress journaling outlet for me. it’s so important for me to maintain the separation #like this is actually my diary & has been so handy for letting out emotions / articulating thoughts / staying on track !!#& I’ve met so many kind people on here who actually get me. which is so hard to find irl bc I’m surrounded by pre-med gunners/overachievers #who are by standard not very good w emotion & can be competitive/judgmental. or at least it’s hard for me to be vulnerable in front of them #and I’m part of that crowd so I reserve my emotions only to a handful of very close friends #it’s nice to hop on here and express negative emotions!! or positive emotions!! just whatever I want and it’s low stress and people get me #I don’t have to worry about judgment or competitiveness etc etc #like everyone on here is so kind & nice & understanding. & just a breath of fresh air from the types I run w. it’s just nice to have this #so idk that’s why I think I’ll always be strict about keeping the worlds separate. it just works #p

One of the strongest points of Mass Effect, if not the strongest, is just how well written the characters are. From Shepard, to the squad, to the side characters like Anderson and Bakara, to barely-there NPCs like Ereba and Charr the lovers, Etarn Tiro the enthusiastic turian merchant, Kargesh the krogan who wanted a fish, Lia'Vael, the quarian who gets falsely accused of theft, and the Salarian who wants to buy a memento to his asari lover to remember him by once he's dead.

I feel like so many of them are memorable, and they all serve a purpose to the overall world building. The krogan show that they are not the violent thugs the galaxy has made them out to be. The salarian shows the struggle born out of building relationships with people of a species with a life expectancy so beyond your own. Lia'Vael illustrates what Tali says about the quarians being treated like second class citizens. Those small little side quests have a meaning and a purpose, it doesnt feel like they are Just There, and they add more to the lore of them game to those who care about that stuff.

#Romance is an exception- I am 100% an outlier here but most of them are hmm. not quite as developed as they could #Most shippy feelings I've acquired are more like headcanons based off the stuff that happens in canon #Than canon things that happen during the game (but MAYBE it's because femshep can't romance talizorah)#That's just my opinion though lol and I don't think it makes the game bad. I think it's logical #You can't make space for too many branches based off romance or it'd be madness #So to keep the story more or less linear they have to be independent of the story by default #Mass effect #Mass effect liveblog #Txt #Of course I'm sure there are exceptions. And contradictions (ahem samara being the mother of all ardat yakshi)#But overall and taking into account just how many there are it's pretty good

Kingdom Hearts 3 - Kingdom of Corona

#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #kingdom of corona #scenery #my gif #this world has so many nice locations it was actually kinda hard to narrow it down to just eight gifs #i was surprised by how much detail they add within out of bounds areas like that waterfall in the 3rd gif #they did so good with this world every bit of it is gorgeous and fun to explore #sliding down that meadow of purple wildflowers for the first time was such a memorable experience #i love that we get to view the kingdom from afar and even explore the festival streets #it's very lively and beautifully decorated #i made sure to get a shot of the lanterns too. it's really cool that we get to have a battle at night like that #though i do wish there was an option to peacefully view them while being able to wander the town #it wasn't easy to get a clear shot of it without any party members getting in the way or enemies attacking me lol

just for fun this time during 'sea of blood' I counted out all the venatori corpses I think we can be pretty sure were lucanis' handiwork before we show up (not including the ones he kills in his initial cutscene, and with an assumption that he's been at work mainly up and down in the areas we move through until we find him, not behind the locked door -- I think that's mostly the work of rampaging undead and other venatori-hoisted-by-their-own-petard suchlikes). can thus happily inform you lucanis has killed at least 32 venatori before rook and company get there. at least one of them he's impaled on their own weird crystal spike things the venatori mages cast as an AOE attack and that they're trying to keep him contained with when we find him. so he's clearly been keeping busy lol. that's my boy dispensing poetic justice and claiming some enrichment in his enclosure while he's at it good for him!
