That's what I was thinking: that's what tag wranglers are for, no? "If you're using a tag, you have to use the correct spelling of that tag," but doesn't ao3 literally have a unique tagging system in place that specifically allows for misspellings to occur and still act as if the correct tag was used?????

I mean, a) emphasis on unique system. If you're on Tumblr (or most other sites I think) you do have to spell your tags correctly, because each one is separate - there's no wrangling system in place here. And b)

Why tf would you censor the term pet play.

Who gains anything from you calling it pet p!ay. That. That's nothing. That's. In the unlikely circumstance that someone who would be triggered by reading the term pet play comes across your fic, how is swapping out an l for a !, a change so small that several people here didn't even notice it, going to protect them. In any. Way, shape, or form.

i don't have coherent thoughts about it much less words but god just. kristen applebees realizes she's being attacked from within by kalina, and what does she do? her girlfriend just disappeared, she and riz are on their own, they haven't found the last ingredient they need to make the tincture to heal the shadow cat plague, and said plague is now manifesting enough to kill kristen from the inside, and kristen...doesn't save herself. she casts her one greater restoration on riz. she trusts her friend. kristen "crisis of faith" applebees, who spends the entire first half of high school with no idea what she believes in, finds herself dying from an unseen assailant and chooses, without a second's hesitation, to put her faith - and her life - in the hands of her friends. because sure, kristen may be a devout young woman, but she knows better than most that gods are just people with tremendous power. and you know what? her friends are people with tremendous power, too. and they care about her without exception, without doubt. so when the chips are down, kristen believes in her friends. not knowing how they'll come through, but always knowing that they will.

Thinking about how Johnny and V have seen every and all sides of each other in such an unfathomable and impossible way unknown yet to humans.

Every side of them. The good and the bad, the ugly and the pretty, the fair and the unjust, the black and white and all shades of grey in between. And how all they can do is accept each other as they come and as they are in spite of, they literally have no choice to. And they still grow to care for each other despite that.

How Johnny wants to save V and how V would die for Johnny. How Johnny would die if it meant he could save V and how V would die if it meant Johnny could live. How Johnny, the Selfish Bastard of the Century, would give his life up for V and how V would give theirs up for Johnny.

Their souls are literally intrinsically tied, bonded for life, even after they split. There will always be a part of them they carry in each other. Whether that's V's face for Johnny when the body is given up for him, or the damage Johnny's engram had already caused in V.

There's always going to be a little of one leftover in the other. I'm not sure I believe in soulmates, but it is undeniable that these two have become the first proven and scientifically backed instance of them. (To me.)
