Sorry I've developed a hyperfixation on this D.I.D YouTuber and have watching their shit over and over and over but like:

Imagine Bill didn't die or whatever and still in Stan's head but it became like, a D.I.D situation. He suddenly gets feelings that aren't his like Bill will suddenly remember when killed his dimension and his feelings bleed into Stan's and he's like "woah, where did that come from?" Or he wakes up in places he doesn't remember going to he's like "Lol I'm just old!"

Ford is like "I told you you we were going to the bermuda triangle yesterday, remember?" "You did? I don't remember... weird" and Bill's like "I remember!"

Bill realizes what's going on and he trying to subtlety communicat with Stan by writing on Stans arm when he's fronting things like "I AM STILL HERE!" Stan gets random memories of things that happened but from Bill's prospective. And Stan's just like "Oops must be possed! What's this!?" Than he finds out he's sharing a body with the little Dorito that tried to /kill his family/ and Bill's like "YOU DONT THINK IT'S EASY FOR ME TO BE STUCK IN MY BROTHER IN LAW'S BODY!" And it's just them trying to live as two people.

A renegade Vala, Melkor, is the overarching villain, but the main villain of the books is a renegade Maia loyal to Melkor (at least originally), Sauron. Anyway, Sauron put a lot of his power into a single artifact, a ring. This ring falls into the possession of the protagonists of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and possession of the ring causes an obsessive attachment in whoever has it, and apparently allows them to live indefinitely, but it doesn’t bring them any real happiness or contentment.

The Pure Land Buddhist in my head: Okay, the circle/ring/wheel-shaped object keeps you miserably tethered to life and itself. The symbolism is a touch heavy-handed, but I can live with it.

Me: The author, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, was a devout Catholic, and while not overtly allegorical in the fashion of his friend Clive Staples Lewis’s Narnia books, many see a great deal of Catholic influence in the Lord of the Rings mythos.

idk if anyone actually made a fic of this but uh............

i'd be so down to read an angst fic relating to sebastian and his religious belief

sebastian's half-chilean, and chile's biggest religion is roman catholicism. i'd imagine he grew up with his mom teaching him how to pray and all that, as well as being an active member of the church. perhaps he still believes in his god, maybe not as much as before due to college, but he still actively prays and what-not.

how would he deal with urbanshade contradicting his beliefs? the pentagram plastered all over the blacksite just uneases him in some way, but never thinks too much about it. it's not his place to ask, after all.

would he be praying as the doctors and scientists performed on him? genetically mutilating him for the purposes of science – destroying how god intended the human body to be. imagine his prayers for forgiveness for even participating in something like this, even unwillingly.

even in his monstrous form, would he still be blaming himself for how he looks? i mean, he's no longer molded into what his god deems as human – artificially modified, unethically interfering with the divine natural.

what about when he's being hunted down by the player? how he would cry for his mother's warmth once more, while begging for forgiveness for all of his sins – intentional or not – to a god that didn't even hear his pleas.

ok my power's back and I'm here with a very urgent question:

how does a show with such a (mostly) nuanced and thoughtful take on a deaf character, with empathy for so many of the oddballs in its stories, come up with the same old stereotype of the drunken, shambolic, Oirishman played for laughs? OMITB season 4, so far you are more the show I feared you were and less the show seasons 1-3 proved you to be: i.e. a vehicle for celebrities to explore the cavernous recesses of their own backsides.

With all the shit I've seen about it online was really surprised how much I actually liked snw, it's really a solid show. Yeah the chapel/spock romance is questionable but they did so many things right and really captured the spirit of the TOS (it being a good mix of serious and whimsical)

i actually feel guilty about not voicing my compliments as loudly as my complaints. i'd hate to be the reason someone doesn't at least give it a chance. i think i'll make a post about some of the parallels to tos that i thought were particularly clever/well done before season three comes out :) also, the new characters are great!

And, if you'd like to share, what's something you wish people would stop doing with autistic characters? Or maybe an autistic trait you feel like gets misrepresented a lot?

I have the urge to use the third person for me sometimes, but I'm scared to do that irl because it's weird (nothing wrong with weirdness, I love it personally lol), so people (my family mostly) will belittle me and treat me like a kid,, I mean they already do but... I don't wanna be treated like that more...... it feels ugh... very bad 😔
