hullo😀😀i’m a huuuge admirer of your art and love the way that you use colors but i do need advice on one thing if it’s ok w u🙏

how do you keep up the stamina to keep making art? i really want to continue making art and practicing drawing skills but i can go for months at a time without ever drawing at all. it’s really hard for me to keep up motivation (also i have a screening thing later in february so maybe it’s that) but i’d just like to ask about how you keep yourself motivated!

personally, i do a bunch of things to keep art... fresh? i find doing the same thing makes art dull and then i end up not wanting to keep doing something ive done a lot recently - it's why i draw & color so differently sometimes! different brushes, different colors, different methods, different compositions. i also will switch to doing traditional stuff if im really struggling and go back once i feel more able to actually work. drawing stuff for others helps too! ask friends for suggestions!

also i figured this out like. a few months ago lol. but doing silly, no pressure warmups before anything i want to make helps me actually want to draw it and not just stare at my screen waiting to do the first line. a lot of the time i do just end up not getting much done bc the motivation isnt there until an art moment finally hits and warmups help trigger that...

oh. and, this may sound counterproductive, but dont force yourself to draw if you just arent feeling it. trying to push past your brain refusing to do this is just gonna make it even harder to ever find motivation! you're not gonna magically want to do this thru bruteforce you know?

I have made a couple of adjustments to this old work, it now looks a bit more readable? I realized I don't do well with dark backgrounds because I could not tell how dark it is, if it's to the point I could not see anything. 😅😅😅 Which sucks, there are so much ideas to work with dark scenes. 😓 I hope to improve on this faster, figuring out a technique so I don't have to make it a habit of going back on a supposed finished drawing just to make it clearer.

Hi, I wonder how are you creating your wip? Do you write it in google docs and then code it in Twine? I'm starting making my own and I'm looking for some technical tips

Hi! Thanks so much for the ask! It's always good to see new authors starting their own IFs. This might be a bit long so I'll put everything under a read more for those of you who aren't interested.

For me personally, I write in LibreOffice, which is a free alternative to Microsoft Office/Word. But, you can definitely use Google Docs or whatever other writing program you prefer!

As for coding, you can just code in Twine, but I like to code some as I write so I don't forget when to set certain variables. If you don't want to code anything in your draft, then I'd recommend at least leaving yourself reminders at places you'd like to add variables or when you want to have skill checks or anything else of the sort.

I should mention that a lot of people dislike coding in Twine, the code isn't set apart from the text visually and can be confusing for some, so if that's the case for you, I'd recommend checking out something like Notepad++ for coding and then copy and pasting everything into Twine once you're done.

If you do use Notepad++, and you're also using SugarCube, I'd highly recommend downloading and using this to add SugarCube as a custom language to the program so your code is easier to read. (You'll be able to select it as the coding language in Notepad++ after downloading and following the directions, though you may need to exit and restart the program before it shows up in the language list).

Some other great resources I use: The Twine Cookbook (of course), SugarCube Documentation or Harlowe (if you prefer), some templates (including the one I use!) [1] [2] [3], and w3schools tutorials for basics in CSS and JavaScript (assuming you don't know how to code in them already, if you do, that's great!)

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! I'm no coding expert but I have taken a few classes on Web Dev stuff in college so I know a thing or two.

This game is incredible y'all. No game I've played has felt more like the best parts of pre-3D Zelda, including games intentionally meant to and even the Link's Awakening remake. And it manages to do that while being procedurally generated, too. I've been having a gay old time with it

I get the impression that a lot of people bought Cadence of Hyrule and either didn't try it or didn't get very far, then forgot about it. I and a few of my friends did at least, I don't remember if another bigger game came out right after or what. Anyway, if that's you, give it a try, it's fun. And finish Tears of the Kingdom too, the last boss alone is worth it

JJK Chapter 243 Spoilers I finally got to look at the leak and first of all I'd be fool if I believed this is the end lmao Gege loves making things seem simple before disasters. Plus considering the nature of Kenjaku he can just switch to someone new, and I don't think cutting the head off strategy is as affective to him as others. It all depends how Yuta handles the body and everything. Well, I don't think he would risk it by not smashing the brain to pieces, right? And to me, it seemed like this was a way to get Geto out of the story, which makes sense considering both Gojo and Geto are done and their part is over since both of them are gone now, its time for the rest of the characters to take care of it and to have Geto finally find peace. Assuming he just survives, I'm only curious what kind of vessel would be found for Kenny now? Because Geto's technique was exceptional it has to be at least worth something like that.
