today's song recommendation of the day is silver light by ateez! today their album the world ep. fin: will came out and it truly blew me away in so many aspects! so many songs in this album stood out to me but silver light was definitely one of them! this song is definitely a synth-pop type of song that is a song that we have seen them do before in previous albums in this series it really goes together with their concept and since it's a song about "resilience and hope" and "emphasizes the idea of rebirth and transformation, embracing the silver light as a symbol of overcoming difficulties and reaching towards a brighter future" and i think it's very obvious with the overall vibe this song creates! in general it's an ateez bside i would recommend especially from the world series it does show a different side of ateez and it's a pretty solid song in my opinion

I'm knitting in the corner at a party

and guys my age stop by to tell me I remind them of their aunt, of their grandmother. This is a compliment and I take it as such. They confess to having tried crochet once, and I smile. They get back in line for the bathroom.

I'm knitting in the corner at a party and a queer woman sits on the floor next to me, arranges her skirt, and smiles up at me. (I try not to blush.) She asks me all the questions on her mind about my craft and I answer them, hands still moving. We swap yarn sources. She doesn't stay, but she knows where to find me.

I'm knitting in the corner at a party and everyone knows where to find me when they need a minute, when socializing is too much and the music is too loud and they need to catch their breath. They pretend to be checking in on me, which is sweet, but I can see the relief in their eyes the moment they stop performing for a house full of people. They sit down and tell me things and all the while they never take their eyes off my hands.

The party has wound down and I'm still knitting and the hosts, two guys in their twenties, thank me for "helping to curate the vibe." I had no idea that's what I was doing. I leave the party having forgotten to drink anything and without that woman's number but with many rows added to my top-down raglan sweater. I call it a night, and a good one.

So. I don't mean to offend anybody but Rachel Zegler is courageous and brave in a way that I'm not sure I would be at 23 years old with my career on the line. She tweeted 'Free Palestine' on her personal account and now she is being blamed/made the scapegoat for why the Snow White movie is not doing as well as Disney predicted.

For context: Gal Gadot (of "let's sing 'Imagine' to healthworkers-fame and 'I'm proud to have served in the 1DF' fame) plays the evil Queen.

Also for context: the producer, Marc Platt, flew across the country to reprimand a 23 year old for making said tweet. He asked her to delete it. She did not. Now Marc's son has taken to social media to "expose" Rachel's selfishness. They strongly believe her tweet is hurting the box office and jobs. The movie is done. There are no more jobs or employment. Producers get a cut from box office earnings. So all they really had to say was, "Rachel's tweet is costing my father and my family money! Take it down!"

Anyways. She didn't. And hasn't.

Good for her. The absolute balls of steel tbh.

looking at next month's schedule and between the end of 7-12 and the wishing lantern event it's like

February is officially RIDDLE MONTH, brace yourselves to be absolutely blasted into ashes everybody

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)
