nobody talks about how hard it is to heal from dependency, and also how good it feels when you start to feel stable and feel the results of how hard you‘ve been trying.

not gonna go too into detail but i’ve had big problems with it in both the past and present and working on it isn’t something you can just have in the back of your mind, you have to actively work on it all the time in order to improve (n obviously progress isn’t linear, but it is progress)

and it SO much work, but when you really love the person you’re working on it for, it can be such a good feeling when you don’t have to talk to them 24/7 or have attention from them 24/7 to feel good and happy with your relationship. sure, you feel it coming back sometimes, and it’s not wrong to want support or comfort when you’re going through tough times or just not feeling great, but it’s nice to be comfortable with yourself, to have your own life and hobbies and feel secure alone, relaxing and taking time for yourself.

this is so sappy but it is really worth the work and no matter how hard it seems, you can always improve :3
