i think that the thing that pisses me off most about writers needing to constantly introduce characters is that there are sooooo many underutilized characters that could fill the exact same niche that a new character could but writers arent doing it because a) they want to be Special and make their own characters thatll disappear in 5 years and b) theyre too lazy to tweak the story just a little bit to use an existing character so they just create a new one that no one cares about

#like i dont think that diana is really a mother to any of the wonder girls but ???? there is no need to make her a mother?????#like what could trinity add to the story that couldnt be done with donna cassie or yara #especially since yara was just introduced within the last few years???? dont tell me we've already run out of stories with her #i honestly havent read a lot of ww books whoops but. why should there be any need to make her a mother #dc

went to a comic store today and saw individual issues of idw sonic in person for the first time ever btw . epic win

#not that ive never been to a comic shop before its just the only.one thats anywhere near me #is one i didnt know existed until like a year ago because its in a weird spot #and their hours are very incompatible with the days/times im actually able to go around shopping #and ive also been to other places that sell comics they just never hvae idw sonic #ANYWAYS i got to go today and they had sonic yayyy . and i also got an issue of monster high new scaremester #because ive really been wanting to read that one and havent been able to find it online like . at all. nobody is archiving that thing ....#i only got issue 2 though because they were out of issue 1 #and i didnt have a single chance to check for issue 1 when it came out. because of the previously mentioned scheduling curse #nervous that i actually spent money on it because idk if im even gonna like it #ive heard mixed reviews on it and the book that its a continuation of . but fuck it we ball #also if this store carries sonic idk how i never saw it before because i Have been a couple times in the past #maybe they just now started getting it recently?? or just happened to be out the last few times?? idk

She's based off of a character idea of my dad's, a person who can turn their body, parts or whole, into different pure gasses. Because of image limits for mobile, there are parts of her lore cut out. But there's basically a dimension of pure substance, which is substituted/traded every time her, or any her from any dimension, uses their powers. I never draw her "brother" Evan lol 😭 but peachy has!! Mouse has too but image limits;-; idk if it's covered in the screenshots, but amab Evas powers are a little different, instead of gasses it's liquids(genuinely it's not bc of cum it's not bc of cum it's not bc of-) o(-( he's also named Evander. They're all genderfluid(I'm projecting) but I call them Eva and Evan for simplicity's sake

I've started an animatic with them ages ago, idk if I'll finish it. I started another project where I drew all of the ones that had been confined to their laboratory and I might pick it up again..

#havent read anything of hers since college but i just read patternmaster in 1 sitting and goddamn. that was so much fun #very good very fun #love the worldbuilding as ever #love how quick the stakes are set up #love how we're given just the barest explanation for ages and it SUFFICES and i figured it was all we'd get #and was satisfied with it. and then surprise! little tidbit more as a treat <3 #hoping that in the others in this series there will be more lore... as i understand it they're all set before this one so like #i expect so?#ALSO like. as ever she's doing fun things with relationships & sexuality & gender #the only bit of reproductive stuff (at least that i noticed on first read) was the incest and that was surprisingly sparse #like. turns up in the first few pages and then literally never comes up again except in passing references #also REALLY interested in the mutes #delighted by amber. would need to reread and focus more strongly on her #i want to study this book.........#pretty sure we did not read this one in my class at college #we read like. bloodchild and speech sounds #and parable of the sower & parable of the talents #and kindred! and fledgling!#and . what was the one where they were on like a spaceship...#[googles] liliths brood!!!#i dont remember terribly much of liliths brood.. its mostly impressions #i'm actually not sure we read further than dawn...? i Think we did but im not positive #i do know i did more skimming than i wouldve liked and did not re-read any of them #there was a lot to get through in just 1 quarter yknow #and this was all uhh. I'll admit that it kinda rubbed me the wrong way a little, at first, the way they had Kaz point out such an obvious weakness as lack of pain-- ignoring, of course, that the only reason it's obvious to me is because it's such a common trope. But the more I think about it, the more I actually really like it. I can't remember if the books explicitly state Inej's level of violence and if so, when/how it escalates, but in the show at least her first kill is on screen. Once Kaz explains the logic behind no pain being a weakness, Inej had no problems implementing that. It was never a skill issue, she just hadn't yet become violent minded enough to apply her skillset in such a purposefully lethal way. Kaz "Bastard of the Barrel" Brekker, of course, had no issues thinking that way immediately.

I'm so mentally ill about them please send help
