(I think said this before) more often than not these two are long distance. Xiao is busy fighting the demons and the life of a lawyer never gets easier.

Though when Xiao does make it home, he'll either come home super late at night, super early, or just in time for dinner with take out from Smiley YanXiao from the inn.

As per usual they like tofu

Though there were times that he'd barge in just to see her, all battered and bruised and exhausted.

Of course Yanfei rushes to his need, and if he doesn't have any demon's left to slay he'll stay.

He's comfortable around Yanfei. He can show "weakness"

Though there are times where he'd just "making sure she's ok."

So it'll be a quick stop, but he's going back out-

Until she goes "Apapapa nononononon you're not going anywhere"

And how could he say no to this pink hardworking little creature. No matter how much it does peeve him.

More often than not he ends up staying, but if he really doesn't stay Yanfei brings Zhongli into it.

Yes. Xiao told her about Zhongli being Rex Lapis.

Yanfei was quite surprised at the news, but when she started thinking about it, all the pieces fell together.

They are both switches.

Yanfei is smart. Much smarter than people give her credit for sometimes. And it's actually because of that, that they have a balanced relationship.

Xiao is more insecure than he seems, but even when he trusts her he positions himself to be the "strong" one in the relationship. And so he hides alot from her still.

But being the observant lil cookie she is, she can spot all the signs. And she's pretty much gathered a whole books worth on Xiao behavior. She knows when to press him to answer her, when to lay off and leave him alone.

Though that has lead to a few arguments. Big ones... Like screaming and storming out of the room kind.

But Xiao always is the first to feel bad and turn up to apologize. But Yanfei has a harder shell.

Either he finds her doing work, ignoring him and giving him a harsh silent treatment, or crying her eyes out.

And she proceeds to make him feel bad. Whether she wants to or not.

But she's also quick to comfort him when he breaks down.

Their first kiss was on top of a mountain.

Their first date was also on an adeptus mountain.

It was surprisingly Yanfei who confessed first.

Xiao.... is TRYING HIS BEST (Like a good boy)

They've just met but they're already deep into that angsty romantic mess. I can't...

Show these scenes to any non players, and they'll think they're legit in a relationship. No kidding.

A few days has past by since the events at the chasm, but she still was thinking about everything which had happened. How could she not, since she could have possibly died? The only reason why she was still alive was because of the yaksha, which had risked his life to save them all. Of course it was somehow his job, but she still wanted to thank him. She didnt invited him with the others.. since she got the feeling he didnt favoured to be around a lot of people.

And it seemed to her like he enjoyed being with the traveler much more, so she let some days pass, before she made her way to the Wangshu Inn, a Location where she heard he was around a lot. Since she got a job nearby, she thought she could give it a try, so she searched for a less crowded corner, looking around over the fence, then to the trees, before she tried her luck. "Uhm... Conquerer of Demons? Its me.. Yanfei" felt awkward somehow. She scratched her neck.
