Real real real random ask.. Buuutttt- what's your favorite song? Mine's either this or this, and not even because I'm into the dsmp, I just like cg5 lol. So yeah! Just was curious ig, also thought I should mention that you actually got me (back) into (obsessed with) the Crane Wives! I used to listen to them a little while back and got back into them again when I watched the Chaggie animatic with Curses for the song. That's all, have a good day!
Oh that is a very dangerous question. I LOVE talking about/recommending songs I like. I cant just choose one tho, especially when there are artists who have so many songs I love and there are many genres I adore, so sorry for the long ish list
With The Crane Wives my favorite changes from time to time. I remember when I was ill and basically bedridden for two months, I'd spend hours just listening to all of their songs. Rn my favorite is I Aint Done. Apparently it's supposed to be based on some urban legend? I like to think of it as some tragic sapphic story
youtube
Marianas Trench is another one of my favorite bands. If you were a teen like me who loved watching AMV's in the 2000's to 2010's, their songs are often used for ships lol. (i get the feeling you might be a bit on the young side tho, so sorry for talking about some oldies here) Hard to pick a favorite too, but maybe this one since it's the first one of theirs I heard
youtube
I havent ventured too deeply in rap heavy songs, but this is one I like a LOT. The pre-chorus and chorus are such killers too and a lot of fun to sing lol
youtube
Jordan Fisher is such an underrated gem. Their songs take me back to the classic RnB from the 2000's. And watching them perform is kinda captivating.
youtube
People who have followed me for a while now know that I also love kpop/Loona, so lemme plug in my girls real quick. This is my favorite from one of their subgroups
youtube
Kiss of Life is a newer group I've been getting into lately, and they're real dang talented. They kinda remind me of Little Mix, which I also really liked
youtube
If you're into anime, you've probably heard of yoasobi because they've had songs that feature in anime. It's really really hard to pick a favorite with them but the one they wrote for Beastars is the one I'm currently obsessed with
youtube
There are also a lot of good songs in my country I could talk days about, especially this one by Ben & Ben. The mv stars their bassist and keyboardist who are dating irl, which makes it even cuter
youtube
And then there are so many broadway songs i like.... oh my god so hard to choose........
Beetlejuice is my favorite musical, so I gotta choose one from it. The lyrics for the songs in this musical are so good, but especially with Dead Mom. The bridge where Lydia turns all soft because of how much she loved her mom gets me everytime. (fun fact for those who dont know, the voice actors for Pentious/Adam and Rosie were the OG actors for the title character and the step mom)
youtube
Lastly, I havent actually watched the Waitress yet(I'm talkin about bootlegs ofc) but the soundtrack's really good. The voice actor for Niffty was also there, so you might wanna check it out just to hear her sing, she's phenomenal. This song is undoubtedly the best of the bunch, and there's actually a version song by Lucifer's VA that is absolutely heart-breaking, but I'm putting the original version in the post for the intended message of the song because its important. Also this animatic is kinda insane. Jeremy Jordan's version of this song really is worth checking out too for sure

Halloween🎃👻🕯️
...Though we don't celebrate Halloween (October 31st, the eve of the All Saints' Day), I decided to come up with a special post on it now. It's like I will start with a digital celebration here and maybe, we'll throw a pleasantly spooky, real Halloween party next year:)
youtube
...Have you seen this movie yet? It's fun and full of Halloween spirit. So I will watch it again:)
"Magic is really very simple, all you've got to do is want something and then let yourself have it." - Aggie Cromwell, "Halloweentown", 1998

"The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper." - Eden Phillpots, Victorian novelist, playwright, poet
Tumblr media

...HALLOWEENish atmosphere in PAINTINGS
“There’s a little witch in all of us.” - Aunt Jet Owens, a minor character in "Practical magic"
Tumblr media
I don’t know what this crazy picture is:)), but I do really like it!  This cool painting is by Philip Grözinger (German, b. 1972)
"Do you believe in destiny? That even the powers of time can be altered for a single purpose? That the luckiest man who walks on this earth is the one who finds ... true love?" - Dracula, 1992
Tumblr media
Driftwood by Adam Oehlers …via  witchyteacups
"Just because I cannot see it, doesn't mean I can't believe it!" - Bram Stoker, "Dracula"

...a painting by Adam Burke @nightjarillustration, an artist based in Portland, Oregon.
“Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” - Stephen King
Tumblr media
The Haunted Park by Richard Doyle (English, 1824–1883) .via oldpaintings
📚11 atmospheric books to read during Halloween (not my personal choice, just came across this list somewhere. so let's try it out together:)
The Haunting of Abney Heights: gothic mystery for Halloween by Cat Thomas
White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi
Dark stories and poems by Edgar Allen Poe
Drakula by Bram Stooker
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz
The Woman in Black and other Ghost stories by Susan Hill
Dark Matter by Michelle Paver
The House on Vesper Sands by Paraic O'Donnell
House of Shadows by Mair Unsworth
Blood Lite by Kevin J. Anderson
Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu
📚...and these are chosen by me:) Havent' read any one of these books yet, but I was attracted by the covers. So now it's my Halloween reading wishlist:

"Villainy wears many masks, none so dangerous as the mask of virtue." - Ichabod Crane, a fictional character in "Sleepy hollow."
Tumblr media
...The Ghosts Haunting the Woods by LorelaiArtsiePartsie
I usually prefer horror comedy films and animation to real horror movies. They should be scary yet not containing anything disgusting, and of course, there must be a happy ending...
...so, my Must Watch Halloween Movies List looks like this :)
The Little Vampire (anim.)
Monster House (anim.)
Beetlejuice (1988)
Ghostbusters starring Bill Murrey (1984)
The Haunted Mansion starring Eddie Murphy (2003)
Disney’s Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001)
Young Frankenstein (1974)
Vampire in Brooklyn starring Eddie Murphy (1995)
A Haunted House (2013)
Hubie Halloween starring Adam Sandler (2020)
The Curse of Bridge Hollow (2022)
The School For Good And Evil (2022)
...and that's not all yet! How can I wrap up the post without sharing this energizing song from my favourite Gravity Falls series?! ;)
youtube
...not yet! Now, even more shivers down your spine!
youtube
Now, Happy, Spooky, Scary, Eerie Halloween! Have fun! 🎃👻🕯️

yoooo guess who just realized my thoughts were spiraling and watched myself make it worse?
me i did, because apparently instead of trying to i dunno stop spiraling or something crazy like that i decided for shits and giggles i guess to just make it worse. like i did this intentionally. i knew i was starting to spiral, like not even to the point that it was a problem yet, and i just. made it worse.
like why? and more importantly WHY?? im me the only one it hurt was me but i also realized it was happening and intentionally made it worse for myself. why the being self destructive? i havent done anything today that i didnt want to do. its been a relatively good day. but nooooo slight mean thoughts because my anxiety was being a bitch and apparently me being like "ya wanna see a magic trick??" at me for no good reason
a mini breakdown is no biggie its the fact that im the cause and there was no good reason for it thats bothering me. took all of beetlejuice and 10(or so) hamilton songs to fix. over. fucking. nothing.
ok vent over thank you void im done now <3

Specifically for kids? Because I've made lists before of tamer horror films, but they wouldn't necessarily all be of interest to kids:
https://tenaflyviper.tumblr.com/post/89904142985/if-i-want-to-leave-my-comfort-zone-and-watch
https://tenaflyviper.tumblr.com/post/152045644220/im-sure-youve-made-a-list-that-i-just-havent
Let me see:
Paranorman (2013)
Coraline (2009)
The Witches (1990)
Return to Oz (1985)
Gremlins (1984)
Gremlins II: The New Batch (1990)
Monster House (2006)
The Watcher in the Woods (1980)
The Gate (1987)
The House With a Clock in Its Walls (2018)
Beetlejuice (1988)
Arachnophobia (1990)
Ghostbusters (1984)
Ghostbusters 2
The Frighteners (1996)
Freaked (1993)
Troll (1987)
(Even in these, some weren't made with kids in mind, but were popular with them nonetheless)
I can't really think of many others that are kid-friendly, yet still scary. If anyone can think of any more, feel free to add them!

Soulmate AU 2- Beetlejuice/Reader
Warnings: None Reader is implied female [Part One Here] [Part Three Here]
The three of you are staring at each other and you find the courage to speak.
"Who are you two and do I need to call the cops for trespassing?" You close the door behind you.
"We'll we're um.." the man started to speak.
"We're the Maitlands, I'm Barbra and this is my husband Adam" The woman spoke up gesturing to herself and her husband.
"Well, I'm (Y/N)...now why are you two up here?" You asked them.
"Well, were dead." Adam replied nonchalantly
"....So your ghosts?" You hesitated to ask.
Barbra nodded, "Yes, this used to be our house too. Now we just haunt this place"
Now it all made sense to you why Lydia had asked why you believed in ghosts and you first came over.
"Well it's nice to finally meet you two" You smiled at them, "but uh..who was the third voice I heard?"
"Don't worry about him, just a pest" Adam replied
You nodded, thinking you shouldn't poke any further at least not right now. You'll just ask Lydia when she feels better.
Your eyes move from the couple immediately to the model of the town in the center.
"Whoa, this is cool!" You walk closer to inspect it
"Thanks! I've been working on it since before I passed away" the male ghost walked to your side
Your eyes scanned the small town and spotted the building that would be your flower shop, it's still grey.
"Oh hey that's my flower shop!" You said pointing to it.
"Yeah, Lydia told us you bought it not to long ago but haven't decided on the color yet" Barbra replied
You smiled, "Looking at this actually makes me think I should paint it like a baby blue"
"Oh! I think I have that color" Adam replied and moved to drawer full of art supplies bringing out the color. He grabbed the small building and began to paint it. Once he was done and set it back in its place you inspected it.
"Oh! That's so pretty" you replied enthusiastically "I'll have to call up the painter tomorrow"
Adam and Barbara smiled at your enthusiasm it felt nice to them to finally have more people to talk to, it still made them feel like they were alive.
You looked around the room taking more of it in and your eyes landed on a stuffed animal sitting in the corner of a shelf. Your eyebrows scrunched up in confusion and you walked towards this. As you get closer you realize it's your stuffed animal that you lost as a kid.
"Hey..um..where did this come from?" You asked the couple pointing to the bear.
"Oh, that bear?" Adam replied and you nodded
"He brought it over not that long ago saying that's one thing he didn't want to lose. Said he got it about 15 years ago? Said he almost lost it.” Adam said.
"Yeah, he was also saying something about it being his soulmates bear" Barbra added
"I'm surprised he even has one really" Adam shook his head, "I feel sorry for whoever that is."
You felt nauseous, whoever they were talking about and clearly didn't like was your soulmate. You also felt embarrassed thinking about all the articles of clothing that you lost in your life.
"Fuck.." you said softly running your hands down your face embarrassed.
"Hey, are you okay?" Barbra stood next you rubbing your back.
"Oh no, don't tell me that's yours" Adam spoke up.
You nodded, "I lost this bear about 15 years ago…"
Barbara and Adam looked each other concerned while you ran your fingers through your hair trying to calm down. As far as you can tell your soulmate is a spirit and an asshole one at that apparently. "Is that even allowed?" You thought to yourself. You also felt extremely anxious because your soulmate was literally nearby but you haven't met him yet.
"I think I'm going to go lay down…" you mumbled to the couple walking out of the attic Barbara and Adam watching you anxiously. You walk into the guest bedroom and lay down on the bed. This was quite frankly all too much for you. How would you even explain your soulmate to your parents? "Hey mom and dad! This is my soulmate and he's dead," would that even work? You sigh and grab a pillow and squish your face into it, letting out a small scream of frustration. After a while you calm down and fall asleep, but not without the feeling of someone watching you.
As soon as Lydia got better you took her out to the shopping, she wanted to go to the photography store getting new film. You had already talked to her about the fact that you met the Maitlands and you really loved them. They sorta became like a second pair of parents yo you. You’ve even helped Adam with his model of the town, arranging the fake plants on the model. In the few days you still havent met your soulmate but you’ve heard his voice here and there. “Hey Lydia..can I ask you about the third voice I hear around the house?” You ask “What about him?” She asked “I uh…” You hesitated, “I found out..that I am...his soulmate”
Lydia's eyes widened, “Wait? How did you find out”
“When I met Adam and Barbara, up in the attic…” You started, “The bear sitting on the shelf...it’s mine. I lost it as a kid”
Lydia’s face of shock soon turned into a face full of glee, “Well now you got to meet him!” She said grabbing your hand, “I can’t believe he didn’t tell me!” she ranted to you.
She proceeded to yank you towards the exit of the building back to your car, “Now we gotta get something from your house that's his! What has he lost?”
You try to keep up with the gothic teen practically tripping over your own feet.
“I uh, I have a tie actually. Looks really old and really worn out.” You replied, “Also has the initials ‘BJ’ embroidered on it and surprisingly a lot of cigarettes.”
“Good! Now we have to go get it and go back to my place” Lydia was practically bursting with enthusiasm. More than you’ve ever seen her do before.
Soon you made it to your house and you quickly grabbed the box filled with the tie and cigarettes and made it back to Lydia’s house. She told you to stay put in the kitchen as she went upstairs to the attic. You sat down on a random stool in the kitchen to wait. A few minutes passed and it felt like an eternity to you, you were beginning to get nervous as the time ticked away.
“C’mon Beej, don't be nervous!” You heard Lydia’s voice coming closer to the kitchen, “She’s your soulmate! She’ll love you”
“This isn’t some prank isn’t it?” He asked, “Not revenge for the last time, right?”
The voices got closer to the kitchen and you swear you were about to pass out.
“(Y/N)?” Lydia’s voice calls out to you, “This is Beej! Your soulmate”
You look up from your lap and make eye contact with a man a bit taller than you, wearing black and white striped suit. His stubble and messy green hair and dark sunken eyes.  “What if I pass out right now?” You thought to yourself and next thing you know you’re tumbling down while Lydia screamed out your name and you see your soulmate reaching out for you.

im gonna take that as a yes!
once again, this is mostly unedited
content warnings: abuse and dehumanisation of a teenager
By the time Beetlejuice comes to check on his prisoner, she’s making weak attempts to pick at her wrist bindings with her teeth. She pulls her head back when she notices him, glaring up at him instead.
“Feeling a little more lively now, Lyds?” he asks.
“Fuck you,” she croaks back. “Don’t call me that. Fuck you.”
“How you likin’ your new bed?” He nudges her mat with his toe. “Finest foam mattress I could find lying around the place, that is.”
“Go to hell.”
“Kid, where d’you think we are?”
“...Fuck you.”
“You sound like you’ve been smoking a pack a day, Lyds.”
“I need water. And don’t call me that.”
“Water, huh?”
“Water.”
He crouches down beside her, pointing out a shallow, wide-rimmed metal dish set above the head of her mat.
“There. Water,” he announces, before beginning to untie her wrists. Lydia glares at him.
“I’m not a dog.”
“Yeah, duh.”
“I don’t get a cup.”
“Maybe later. If you’re good.”
“Gross. No.”
He unwinds the rope from her wrists, standing up to lean back on the fence around the overhang. She’s still weak. Her ankles are tied by a foot of rope to the bed. She tries to roll onto her front, propped up on her elbows. Shuffles over to the dish. It’s an inch and a half, maybe two inches deep. The rim is too wide to sip from, and her bloodied hands shake as she scoops cold water into her mouth. There’s a coppery taste to the water. She tries to ignore its source.
“How long is this supposed to last me?”
“‘Till I refill it.”
She rolls back onto her back. “Fuck you.”
“So you keep saying.”
“How long have I been here?”
“Dunno. A while. Should probably feed you, actually.”
“Yeah, you should.”
He steps away, but is back just as quick.
“Are you allergic to anything?”
“No.”
“Good. I’d be pissed if I’d gone and bought feed you can’t eat.”
Lydia considers pointing out that maybe he should’ve checked before buying food, but figures now is not the time to annoy him. He crosses to the other end of the overhang, closer to the back of the house. Lydia props herself up on one elbow to watch as he opens a large sack that she’s sure wasn’t there before, sat beside a weathered wooden barrel - also new. He grabs a second dish off the ground, along with a plastic cup to scoop out a portion of whatever ‘feed’ it is he’s got her. She sits up as he walks back, her head swimming slightly when she pulls herself onto her knees. He hands her the dish.
(insert description of the food i havent written yet, its a mostly beige mix of different dried foods)
“Is this pet food?”
“What? No. You’re no use to me poisoned, kid. I got that off a ghoul who runs in the same sorta circles, makes easy breather feed. Even went into specifics for ya, that’s the kind he makes specially for bleed breathers.”
“Bleed breathers? Is that-”
“What you are, yeah.”
Lydia glares up at him. “What you’re using me as, you mean.”
“No, I said what I mean. Now eat.”
“I’m not eating that.”
“You’re no use starved either.”
“Good.”
The demon crouches down and snatches the dish from her hands, setting it down on the mattress. And before she can dodge, he’s bowled her over, grabbed her by the hair, and forced her head down into the bowl.
“You’re gonna have to learn to do what I say, kid,” he snarls, as she weakly attempts to squirm, “and right now I’m saying you’re gonna eat this crap.”
Facedown in said crap, the rim of the dish pressed into her forehead, Lydia shuts her eyes tight and resolves to just keep her mouth shut.
“I can sit like this for as long as you like,” the demon taunts.
She doesn’t respond. He tightens his grip, presses harder.
“Or, on second thoughts, I can sit here until I get bored, and then I’ll just puree this shit and stick a funnel down your throat. Your choice.”
Lydia doesn’t want to eat the crap in her dish. But of all the ways to go out, choking to death on a funnel isn’t one that appeals. And there’s no doubt in her mind that he would choke her, whether he meant to or not. She tries to turn her face to the side slightly, to let her speak, but he gives her head a hard downward shove in response.
“Warning you, Lyds.”
“Okay,” she calls out, muffled by the dish she’s being held against. “I’ll eat it.”
“Good kid.”
Lydia tries to raise her head, thinking he’ll let her now, but he keeps his grip tight on her hair. “You can eat from there,” he tells her.
“But-”
“Eat it.”
She takes a shaky breath. This is fine. She handled almost bleeding out, she can handle this. Opening her mouth slightly, she manages to take a tiny mouthful of feed.
Immediately it’s the worst combination of flavours she’s ever been subjected to - beef jerky, dry yogurt, and rice crispies among other things. But she powers through it, only gagging one or twice as she chews. Beetlejuice finally lets her go after she swallows.
“That was gross,” she reports as she shakily sits up, back on her knees. “There’s no way I’m living on this.”
“Tough luck. You better have finished that dish before I get back, or I will force it.”
“You’re leaving?”
“Yeah, now you’re looking a little more alive, I reckon you’ll survive alone for a bit longer than it took to get the food. I got some marketing to do.”
He reaches into his pocket as he speaks, producing a tiny jam jar filled with something red. He shakes it for emphasis, grinning. The sight almost makes Lydia gag.
“We’re gonna make bank, kid,” he informs her, reaching out with his other hand to ruffle her hair, like this is some ingenious scheme they’re both in on. She pushes his arm and he lightly pushes back, like it’s still just a game, and climbs to his feet.
“Oh, and one more thing,” he says, back to leaning on the fence.
“What?” she spits.
“You left your camera in the kitchen. I put it on top of the cupboards for safekeeping.”
She glares at him, waiting for the catch that she can tell he knows that she knows is coming.
“...And if you act out,” he continues eventually, “we’re selling it.”
i have written so much snake oil this morning but none of it is in the first chapter >:(

Note
All those asks that you havent answered yet
1: when you have cereal, do you have more milk than cereal or more cereal than milk? More cereal. I’m lactose intolerant so I try to use just enough milk that I’m not eating dry cereal. Dry cereal is a different snack.
2: do you like the feeling of cold air on your cheeks on a wintery day? No.
3: what random objects do you use to bookmark your books? Whatever is close. Usually random coupons.
4: how do you take your coffee/tea? Coffee with creamer, tea on its own. Unless it’s chai. I like chai with oat milk or vanilla creamer.
5: are you self-conscious of your smile? I used to be, but now I love smiling for the camera, at strangers, pretty much all the time. But I also spent a lot of time practicing and figuring out how to smile without looking weird when I was 9 and super self conscious.
6: do you keep plants? Yes! I have a plant that might be a Kalanchoe that I’ve managed to keep alive for a few years, despite always forgetting to water it and 3 butt succulents (living stones).
7: do you name your plants? Nope. Although I do refer to the butts as “The Butts”.
8: what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings? I write, mostly.
9: do you like singing/humming to yourself? Yes. I tend to sing song if I’m talking to myself.
10: do you sleep on your back, side, or stomach? Side.
12: what’s your favorite planet? Jupiter! Even though that’s where boys go to get more stupider.
13: what’s something that made you smile today? I found some pictures of my mom in college and we look really similar.
14: if you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like? Lots of color. Lots of tchotckes and disney stuff. Jackson Pollock’s Circumcision above the couch.
15: go google a weird space fact and tell us what it is! Jupiter is the fastest spinning planet in our solar system.
16: what’s your favorite pasta dish? Is it pasta? It’s my favorite. Unless it has capers.
17: what color do you really want to dye your hair? Pink!
18: tell us about something dumb/funny you did that has since gone down in history between you and your friends and is always brought up. So one time my BF and I went on a road trip up the oregon coast and then to Seattle. He was getting tired on our Seattle leg of the journey so we swapped and I drove for a while. I drive a ford and he drives a subaru. We were in the subaru, and I went to put it in drive, but instead turned the windshield wipers on full blast. Out of habit, I pulled down on it, since that’s where the gear shift is in my truck. His is not. I have yet to live it down.
19: do you keep a journal? what do you write/draw/ in it? I do! I have a planner for dates and scheduling stuff, a Bullet Journal that I keep my mood tracker and habit tracker and various lists in, a gratitude log, and my ‘write about your day and your feelings’ journal. I just filled my last one, and now I get to start a new one!
20: what’s your favorite eye color? Blue.
21: talk about your favorite bag, the one that’s been to hell and back with you and that you love to pieces. I have a 5.11 backpack that I used in college, and then used to travel, and now I’m currently using it as my roller derby bag. It’s super versatile. And I can put patches and pins on it.
22: are you a morning person? Yes. Or at least I pretend to be.
23: what’s your favorite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations? Knit and watch TV.
24: is there someone out there you would trust with every single one of your secrets? My counselor.
25: what’s the weirdest place you’ve ever broken into? An old abandoned mansion. I was on a ride along and the cop I was with wanted to check for “juvenile delinquents.”
26: what are the shoes you’ve had for forever and wear with every single outfit? My pink double tongue low top converse.
27: what’s your favorite bubblegum flavor? I feel like there was a strawberry watermelon hubba bubba flavor I loved as a kid, but maybe I imagined it.
29: what’s something really cute that one of your friends does and is totally endearing? Pspsps’s at literally every cat they see.
30: think of it: have you ever been truly scared? Yes.
31: what is your opinion of socks? do you like wearing weird socks? do you sleep with socks? do you confine yourself to white sock hell? really, just talk about socks. I love socks. I’ve knitted myself four pairs, and I love wearing disney socks and I just love socks.
32: tell us a story of something that happened to you after 3AM when you were with friends. My friends and I are boring old people and we are asleep at 3 am.
33: what’s your fave pastry? Uhhh.. At this point in my life anything gluten free that doesn’t taste like cardboard.
34: tell us about the stuffed animal you kept as a kid. what is it called? what does it look like? do you still keep it? A stuffed rabbit. Their name is ‘ruggy bunny’. It’s made from chenille. I still have them and as a full fledged adult sleep with them (and all my other squishy friends).
35: do you like stationary and pretty pens and so on? do you use them often? So. Fucking. Much. I love Sakura Jelly Roll pens and washi tape and stickers and felt tip pens and ink joy pens and I love the crayola Take Note line and anything from The Happy Planner. I love it all so much.
36: which band’s sound would fit your mood right now? Deee-Lite or The The
37: do you like keeping your room messy or clean? I like keeping it clean. I used to say my room always needed to be Teen Vogue ready, back when Teen Vogue would have pics of some famous girl in her bedroom on the last page.
38: tell us about your pet peeves! Other drivers.
39: what color do you wear the most? I usually wear quite a few different colors, especially in the summer.
40: think of a piece of jewelry you own: what’s it’s story? does it have any meaning to you? My uncle (who’s not my uncle, just a close family friend) bought me a diamond necklace when I was 10, because he said my first diamond shouldn’t be from a boy, so that way it would just be another piece of jewelry, and not my ‘first diamond.’ In hindsight, that was kind of a cool thing to do, because now I don’t feel like I have to keep or get rid of jewelry just because of who I associate it with. If it’s a nice piece, it’s a nice piece. It’s not my first diamond.
