The Adventure of Link... my beloved.

I'm playing a fan-made remaster of Zelda 2 and I REALLY like it. Temples are different. Some backtracking involved for heart containers and magic potions (Much like in later zelda games). The world is a lot more fleshed out too.

You'll find it with a quick google search #super super awesome #it's fun being able to revisit this game but in a fresh way #it fixes a lot of the broken things about zelda 2 #you can save your progress in towns #and you spawn in the nearest town when you die instead Hyrule castle #or at the entrance of the temple you are still playing through #this is like... the older link version of another artwork i made of zelda 1 link #the one with watercolour #i was also making this with watercolour but THE PAPER DISENTEGRATED IT WAS SOOOO SAAAADDD #it's the same paper too. idk what's up #so i scanned the paper and drew it over again on the computer #thankfully I have a CSP brush that looks a lot like graphite pencil. I love the traditional look of that brush.

one of my curses is that the only hairbrush that has ever consistently worked on my (very thick) hair is, despite coming from a major company (Goody), bizarrely difficult to find -- I've never found it for sale online and I've only ever seen it in person at the Fred Meyer in my hometown. (so I currently own three, one still in the package, because again, only hairbrush that works on my hair and bizarrely difficult to find.) it is this one. I don't know why it's so hard to find. I assume it's not made anymore. it's got slightly longer, thicker bristles than any other paddle brush I've seen, presumably because it's made specifically for thick hair. (they still break occasionally, but it takes a while.)

(also if anyone somehow finds this brush you will have my undying gratitude. I will also take recommendations for replacements -- I have long, thick Asian hair -- or rather, my hair's mixed-texture, but that's more a problem for my ongoing problems dyeing it, not so much for brushing.)

AWARE. sorry i saw him flirt and be flustered by so many men. he knows how he feels.)#and then 'first time ever admitting to being wrong' this one came from a post abt dean's prayer in the trap #like i'm sorry but first of all. dean apologizes more than any other character on the show. there are hard numbers on this.#people have tracked this on spreadsheets. i think ilarual is one of them.#and often he is apologizing for things that aren't even his fault! but he still feels responsible for bc he's been made to feel that way #his whole life!!#other characters *cough samandcas *cough* apologizing Less doesn't mean they've Done less things wrong #it just means they're not owning up to it and brushing it under the rug. something both do frequently.#anyways. aside from apologies. dean also has no problem admitting he's wrong y'know when he's actually wrong #which is less often than you'd think bc he has pretty good instincts and intuition and often suspects things which turn out to be Right #but anyways. another thing abt the trap prayer is. i don't think cas Needed to be forgiven #i think dean was justified in feeling angry w cas over the circumstances leading to the Death of His Mother! totally normal grief response!#i think cas also understands dean to be someone who needs time to process and deal with his feelings (he says as much to jack)#however. despite me not think dean Needs to forgive cas. the thing is. with dean when it comes to cas the forgiveness is implicit #when he says /of course i forgive you/ and in the cut like /of course i wanted you to stay/ like. yes he was mad and dealing with grief #but also. yes cas was already forgiven even back then. he just needed Time to work through the feelings #anyways i think dean says he 'forgives' cas bc it's what CAS needed to hear to stop feeling guilty and dean gives him that closure #but i also think cas was already forgiven even in dean's anger. he wants him there always. i'd rather have you. we can fix this. etc etc #a lot of tags for a non-rebloggable post ajksdfs maybe i'll make these into a real post sometime #vic.txt #dean and feelings #so i can find this all again later

I love all of these goofy product photos where the water bottle is extremely obviously just photoshopped onto a stock image of someone pretending to hold something or whatever.. very convincing..

#the last one where the water bottle is like nearly the size of the woman's entire leg ghbjbjhh #ALSO I know.. gross.. nasty.. amazon.. I was only looking there because I was trying to find an exact replica of an old water bottle #I bought like 6 years ago in a store and I just wanted another one of those and it seemed like the only place the old manufacturer #still sold was through amazon but.. alas.. I think they just don't make them anymore. so I have abandoned my hunt #I didn't actually buy anything. but I did get distracted clicking through product images for a few of them #it's bizarre how like............... idk.. WHY is this done??? Isn't this offputting to basically ANY potential customer?? or do people #not look at every photo/read the entire page/all product information before buying??#all of these are from like front page ''top sellers'' or whatever like........... how does this not hurt the brand????#If the company can't even bother to take a single photo of a real life person using their real life product then... that to me #is kind of red flaggy..?? even if you're an indie start up small business with hardly any funds.. still #A real photo of the product you are selling in a real actual non-photo shopped environment does not seem that inacessible #Maybe it's because everyone does everything on phones now?? So it's harder to see the pictures when they're smaller?#Kind of the same thing with ai art and also hair color photoshops lol.. On my full comptuer screen it is SOOO easy to spot ai art #like IMMEDIATELy from the little tells and ways certain details morph into each other etc. I dont even mean obvious dalle mini stuff but #like the Fancy High Quality Photorealistic AI art is still pretty blatant 98% of the time if you know what to look for. But I still catch #people sharing it a lot like 'omg where can I buy this pair of shoes!! :O <3' .. erm you cannot.. that is the most balatantly fake looking #pair of shoes I have seen in my life hhjbj.. the heels are both different heights. there's a different number of straps on each one. etc.#AND that phase back before colored hair was Mainstream and people would post photos like 'omg going to bring this to the salon!! dream hair #and it's like.. you can LITERALLY see the parts where it's 'colored outside of the lines' and is so clearly just a person with blond hair #that someone drew over with a tint brush or something not even very neatly. etc. etc. ANYWAY.. Maybe with phones it's harder to tell these #things?? To me so much of it is instantly recognizable and it's suprising to me that people either don't notice or don't care and will #interact with it anyway by buying the product or acting like some ai art fake furniture is real or etc. etc. ..hewwoo #Aslo sidenote - I think I've become soo cynical and tired of constantly being advertised to that I literally cannot shop without getting #exhausted. first off ty... i honestly wasn't expecting that drawing to pop off like that HA as for the brushes!! these are all clip studio btw.

for the base colors i used the hard charcoal brush from this set

for clean up i use the first hee brush from here

most of the brushes i used are from this one! used the speckle brush to lay down colors and then blended it out and then just went ham with different layer types. and when in doubt use color jitter, its my best friend

#i download so many brushes so often its so bad lol #ALSO..#style study?????? on me??????#thats so fun to hear from another person. usually its the other way around HAHA #im glad people like that drawing though. theres 3 other quotes in the same vein that i wanted to try and do with the others #i'll see #TY THOUGH!! #i wonder how long it would take anyone to figure it out lol #youre welcome future coldcase vloggers #but for the record if i do mysteriously vanish no its not because of my job #must be said because thats the easiest explanation people come up with yeah it would be convenient right #if i could just get a new job and suddenly everything in my life will be fixed and all of the other blatant issues clearly coming from other #sources will cease to exist #also therapy and meds will do the same thing. i might as well walk up to a stranger and ask them to snap their fingers and cure me #just as long as the hand i turn to for help points in another direction technically im being ‘helped’ right #life is just a fight and you have to keep fighting for yourself and others and hope one day someone is going to fight for you #and when people dont fight for you when you need them to it becomes clear that you dont even need to fight. it would be easier to lose #you already upset them by not fighting for yourself and instead of fighting for you now theyre fighting againt you. do you really want to #fight harder. do you really want to fight people you love. no one wants that #ive been so emotionally destroyed these past years and idk if i will ever recover or find worth in myself again #and if i got a new job tomorrow at the most comfortable high paying company in the world with a one day work week and unlimited pto #i would still feel worthless because of the experiences ive had and the way everyobe has brushed over them as if i cant feel emotion #i have been carrying so much hurt #now im going home to say goodbye to the remains of a stranger who wouldve disowned me had we ever spoken on even ground #but sure i will enjoy my trip

I signed up for a mentorship scheme back when I still had some hope in my heart, and today I had a call with my mentor and needed to share my screen and I completely forgot I had a tab open on LinkedIn job postings

#and if “I don't want to stay in this team” wasn't clear enough.#also actually my boss asked me if I want to switch to another team. the role that I interviewed for ages ago #which rendered that call with the mentor a bit pointless #I don't fully trust that it's happening yet. I just said yes sure I want to switch #bc our team is horrendous #I also told my colleague -- the one who's also desperate to leave #who also wanted to move to this other team (but she knew I had applied too)#its a long story. anyway she took it bad #like really bad. like “I'm resigning on monday!!” bad #and perhaps I shouldn't have told her but she asked me what the meeting was about #and idk I didn't even think not to tell her?#I mean if its really happening she will find out soon enough #but just this morning I was complaining to her about this weird meeting with our boss #and how it was probably gonna be about some stupid new project I didnt want to do #but that I had no idea what it was gonna be about and so on. so obviously she asked about it #and it would've been weird to brush it under the carpet #she literally said 'what if its about changing teams??' and I was like 'lol yeah as if'#I genuinely didn't think it would be #but she suspected it so. her reaction was even worse than expected #I don't feel excited or anything I just feel stressed and guilty now #I don't even care about the new stupid team!!#I just want to leave ours #uuggggh #corporate drama #*
