You have both the main character with a torturous past with big soulful eyes and the one who the mission counts on and then you have the cocky but actually really good pilot who thinks he is enough for the mission and then gets angry when someone else is introduced and absolutely keeps on messing with the main character but they need each other to actually complete the mission and save the world (or destroy the main target)!!!

luna de mancy / lena = also mostly the same character. wanted to lean more into what punk style she already had. i love her arc in dt17, but here she reclaims her shadow magic + never has to reconnect with umbra ever. both she and umbra are ruddy ducks

sunny vanderduck / webby = shares an arc with cherry(huey), and while she still has the same role of having luna realize she deserves to have a good life and isn't a bad person, luna helps her realize that valerie(beakley) isn't the best guardian either...

twilight costa / violet = meets luna + sunny earlier on. outwardly she's mostly the same, but she struggles with feeling connected with other communities. american culture and her heritage, being too weird to one of the smart kids, and too smart to be one of the weird kids, being outcased from the rest of the [junior woodchucks]. but once she finds her place with luna, sunny, and cherry, she opens up her silly side more :)

oliver oca / gladstone: despite getting people to be around him with his luck, he knew he was still alone. never really seeing a point in trying to do things, when he knew his luck would handle it for him. his passivity worsens after the casino, where his efforts didn't help him get out. luckily, someone is looking to fix him... (post-development design. spoilers! he loses his luck. mainly connected to the rest of team magic through umbra, luna, and Rorschach Specter]

I suppose it makes since in the Hindsight AU that Orion would stay Orion. Megatron was a big affect on him. He would probably stay within the Archives without inspiration to act maybe never suspect he had leadership potential.

Any ideas what happened to our other favorites? Is Arcee gonna accidentally involve one of the new cons in her search to make things right with the promise their child would live? Does Galavatron have a Cyclonus? Would Ratchet have joined with the Autobots or are they called something different here?

Like do we have any unexpected additions who sided elsewhere with the murder of children being the driving force along with corruption and Optimus's charisma not being a factor?

Ok, SO! Orion's story veers off very, very differently from canon. It kinda draws from the 'feral Orion' ideas that circulated in the fandom awhile back. Because the war started so much earlier, Alpha Trion didn't find Orion until much, much later. He mever made it to being an Archivist. Orion grew up alone in the wilds of Cybertron, and was well into his youngling phase before he was discovered

Alpha Trion was one of the only council members that the Destructicons spared. Mostly because Senator Electroshock was still made to come into work on the morning of the Altihex bombing crisis. She had just been promised bereavement leave to support her wife and grieve the death of her son, but then the new emergency overrode that and she had to report for work. Alpha Trion basically went to her and said, 'Go home, I'll cover for you, it's completely fucked that they made you come in, we can handle this, just go rest'. He even said he's attend the memorial, if she'd have him. His compassion in that moment made her spare him later.

Alpha Trion isn't exactly a Destructicon, but he works with one of their branches. Due to the overwhelming grief of losing his son, sparkling and youngling protection is something Galvatron takes very, very seriously. There are a number of sparkling sanctuaries scattered across Cybertron, and offworld once the exodus finally occurs. Alpha Trion stays at one of the sanctuaries hidden under the surface of the planet, outside of the Iacon, helping protect the sparklings. On one of his expeditions into the wastes for energon or building materials or smthn, he stumbles upon feral Orion who is very, very much not into the idea of going back with this stranger.

Orion gives him hell for the next several momths or even years; taming him is hell. But, well, AT has been dealing with a gaggle of toddlers at the sanctuary for awhile now. Oh, he's biting me? He won't sit in a chair to refuel? He's trying to climb the walls and escape?? Yeah I bet he is, this isn't new behavior.

Even after Orion settles down (learns to talk, stops biting people, etc) he's still kinda wild and independent. He spent a significantly longer time alone this time around, with no interaction, no contact with society. He eats raw energon crystals and will fight even the largest meanest mechanimals with his bare hands. He kinda becomes the cool older brother at the sanctuary; all of the sparklings look up to him, and even after Cybertron goes dark, he remains there with his gaggle of like 20 kiddos and a couple caretakers, scavenging the wastes so he can take care of them.

Ok, next! Time tobanswer those other questions

Yes, Galvatron does have a Cyclonus, he serves as a high ranking officer and is head of aerial security under the Winglord. In the first draft he and Galvatron were actually mates, but I think Terminus fits the role of Megatron's sire much better.

Ratchet still became an autobot, though his choice was kinda made for him. He was already living in Iacon at the time, still a med school student when Altihex was bombed and the war technically started. He wouldn't see combat for quite awhile, but as things progressed and the Destructicon movement spread, the government began 'incentivizing' people to help. Aka they paid off all of Ratchet's student debt in exchange for him serving, and being young and scared and stupid, he agreed. Now he's an autobot less because his spark's behind the cause, more because there's safety in numbers and he wants to make sure First Aid is well fed and protected.

As for surprise faces, yes! A lot of loyalties have changed. Praxians ane Vosians are distant relatives, and regard one another kind of like cousins. The two cities had a treaty, and a symbiotic relationship: Vos's Rainmakers brought Praxus the acid rains that let their crystals grow (one of their kost important exports) and in return, Praxus supplied the flyers with energon. When the news of Vos' tragedy reached them, rhe Praxians were firmly on their side. As a result, Praxus stands until very near the end of the war, and the vast majority of their people ended up siding with the Destructicons. That means Prowl is on their side, and his ice-cold tactical skills are a great asset to them.

Another is Bumblebee! He was orphaned by the war and raised in a destructicon sanctuary. There are whole swaths of cons dedicated to child protection; their primary objective is to shield them from war and keep them safe and happy. A lot of the kids that grew up in those places became soldiers upon reaching adulthood, because the Cons are all they know. Their family, surrogate parents, of course they wanna fight for them. Bee is on earth, and is in fact the first person Arcee encounters upon returning to the present

Your looks deceived a lot of people. Sure you were shy, intelligent, reserved. But you also liked to let loose every now and then. Didn’t everybody?

The usual guy you used was gone and you knew Mattheo was a dealer. Everyone knew. You walked through the hallways until you spotted him. Attractive as ever, talking with Theo and Blaise.

Slowly, you approached the group, your doe eyes locked with Matt’s as your hands clutched your books tightly against your chest. Feeling your heart pounding with nervousness.

“Hey…Mattheo?”

A soft croak managed to escape your now dry throat while Mattheo smirked down at you. Such a pretty little thing. He dismissed Theo and Blaise, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the stone wall. His muscles flexed naturally, causing you to gawk down at them.

“Yes?” Matt asked in his usual cocky manner, raising a curious brown down at you as you swayed from side to side. Trying to find the words to speak. “I….I was wondering if you had some… weed?”

Mattheo scoffed finding it rather adorable that you even needed to ask him that. “Not on me…But yes I sell. You need some?” His raspy voice came out growl-like, taking a toothpick out of his pocket before placing it between his lips. Fuck.

“Mhmm- Is that okay?”

This caused Matt to laugh under his breath before his dark chocolate gaze locked with yours. But in Mattheos mind? He was already thinking of the positions he could put you in. How those lush lips of yours would look wrapped around his cock. How loud he could make you scream.

“‘Course it’s okay, doll face.”

The nickname only made your pulse accelerate. It was a known fact Mattheo Riddle was a player and at times….You'd think of what it was like with him. After all, he was an attractive guy. “Alright, cool. Thanks.”

The softest and sweetest smile sprawled across your face and Matt stood up straight, placing a hand on your shoulder, practically towering over you. “Come by my dorm after class and I got you, darlin’”

I want to say that your “Mabel’s muse” Au concept has absolutely called my attention, Bill mentions multiple times (Dipper and Mabel’s guide to mystery and fun and TBOB) how he likes Mabel’s personality and wanted her to be his ally…sooo the idea of an alternative time where he decided to approach her and where she trusts him and considers him as her friend is absolutely full of potential

I just think about how many stuff would change and how bill would be a little more genuine with her as he for once isn’t pretending to be an all-wise being and having to constantly rise the ego of Genius minds…instead he just has to party with a teenager whose idea of fun is quite similar to his…he doesn’t have to be the “supreme being” for once just a silly fella in order to earn Mabel’s trust

Also about how some episodes would have to take a completely different route:

maybe “Mindscapers” wouldn’t even take place…because I doubt that Mabel would trust a Bill if he went inside Stan’s head

Bill possessing her during the “sock opera”episode instead of dipper

Also don’t get me started on “the last Mabelcorn” episode. All the angst and horror that Ford would feel when he finds out about the whole friendship with bill situation reflecting himself on Mabel and probably Dipper being the one who search for the unicorn hair while ford tries to convince her that Bill isn’t trustworthy

first of all, your english is great!! second of all, i am SO sorry it took me so long to respond to this ask, it just made me so happy that i wanted to take my time to craft a response!!!!!! :DDDD (context: for people who don't know what my 'mabels muse' au is, you can check it out over here!)

you are practically SPOT ON with my ideas for this au!!!!!! but i'm gonna briefly run through all the things you brought up!!

first of all, yes, absolutely!!!! for bill, partner-ing up with mabel was a very nice change of pace. he likes stroking the ego's of genius', just for his own amusement, but he doesnt get the THRILL of just getting to PLAY very often!! he's a very childish being, at the end of the day. he enables mabel's selfishness, while getting to indulge his own, silly passions right alongside her!! and obviously, mabel LOVES being enabled <3 i imagine most of the dreams he gives her would make any normal persons eyes bleed

as for your episode ideas, you're mostly right!!! :) mindscaperers does, in fact, NOT happen in this au. in my head, i imagine gideon trying to summon him, only for an 'I.O.U' to appear where bill should be. he's busy hanging out with his favorite pre-teen!!! so gideon skips straight to his backup plan, aka, gideon rises ^^

for sock opera, i'm still on the fence a little bit. one of the reasons bill is hanging out with her at all in this au is because, unlike in the regular timeline, this bill actively wants stanford to be brought home. the reason mabel is important to him, is because he can see timelines where she presses the button in not what he seems, and keeps him from returning. in his mind, he has the greatest shot of success if mabel doesn't press it. in this au, she doesnt even hesitate to trust stan, because she has another, trustworthy voice in her head, yelling DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON. its 2v1! ANYWAY, the reason any of that matters for sock opera, is because he wouldnt have any need to possess anyone, because he has no interest in smashing the laptop! BUT.....i can see him doing it anyway. i figure, most likely, he gets mabel to (willingly) let him use her body, so that she can work on her sock opera while her body sleeps. i just imagine a bill-possessed mabel up at 3 am, covered in hot glue and googly eyes as he tries to work it out shjdkfhjsdkf. but......honestly, he probably destroys the laptop in the process :) just to fuck with dipper <3 not that dipper ever finds out its her. he has no idea that mabel was ever possessed/has no reason to suspect her, because at this point, he still doesnt think bill is real. that is....until the last mabelcorn.

IN the last mabelcorn, mabel reveals to ford that she does recognize bill, and that he lives in her brain! she says it really excitedly, at the table, while dipper kind of just rolls his eyes about it. to her, its vindicating, because it's the first time anyone has ever acknowledged bills existence. but to ford, its HORRIFYING, because he knows it isn't just a coincidence. he knows he has to do something, but he doesn't know what, right away. this is where our ideas differ a little bit, because i think that mabel still WOULD be the one retrieving the unicorn hair! ford just didnt tell her what the hair was for. ford sends her off, because he wants to brainstorm a way to get him out of her head, preferably without hurting her/her memories. he also plans to bill-proof dippers mind in the process, just in case mabel is too far gone already. the events here happen basically the same (with minor tweaks), but instead of dipper suspecting that ford is evil/bill-possessed, this is where he finally learns that bill is real at all. ford tells him about his backstory, and explains the REAL reason he sent mabel out to get the unicorn hair, etc etc. he loves mabel a lot, but hes not sure how to go about dealing with this situation yet. its not HER fault she trusted bill, but he knew that if he just tries to tell her hes evil, she wont believe him. shes known 'her muse' longer, and as of right now, he's never lead her wrong. just like what happened to him in the past...

i wonder how mabel would feel if she only heard the end of that conversation...

If you want to lean in on Shen Yuan’s obliviousness, perhaps he doesn’t realize Bing-ge is courting him, until Bing-ge successfully nabs him and declares it so.

(Bing-ge does do the crow courting behavior you mentioned first, but while secret transmigrator Shen Yuan accepts and reciprocates the gestures he doesn’t actually get it).

It’s not until Bing-ge pulls out a scroll listing all the ‘accepted’ betrothal gifts (aka, every item Shen Yuan stole), and the return gifts (aka everything Shen Yuan give him) that what’s going on suddenly occurs to Shen Yuan. (Look up Guo Da Li and Hui Li ceremonies).

Shen Yuan thinks Bing-ge is blackmailing him into the marriage, by making the thefts seem like gifts, but it’s wholly unnecessary as who could say no to Binghe?

For other thoughts I had:

A) Consider Shen Yuan having a “fan” made out of his family’s shed crow feathers, that he hides behind.

B) Perhaps Bing-ge finds out Shen Yuan is only half demon when he is able to break out of a demon trapping array with spiritual energy. (A trick Binghe has never seen anyone else pull off before).

C) In Airplane’s original draft, Shen Yuan’s character was meant to be a sort of foil to Binghe. He’s another half demon but with far less power (he’s no heavenly demon, and his spiritual cultivation potential is only good, not genius level) and a more stable upbringing.

Maybe Shen Yuan’s crow family even settled in the human realm because of a beef with some demon lord too, making the human realm more accepting (another inverse of Bing-ge who was rejected by the human realm for his heritage).

HAHA, sorry, I love the idea that Bing-ge has kept this whole ass account of just...every little thing that has ever been stolen or given by Shen Yuan, and I can feel the feral excitement radiating off him when he's like, "and I've got RECIEPTS that we've been courting each other!!" He's so so smug, and Shen Yuan is just in that bird-like shock where they just sit there and stare as if he's bluescreened. He's actually offended that Bing-ge thinks he needs to be blackmailed into marriage because "anyone would be lucky to marry him" A) OH MY GOD, SHEN YUAN WITH A HOMEMADE FAN is an adorable idea. I haven't figured out what his robes look like, but it'd be so cute if like, the first time he's trapped, he begrudgingly turns to half-human form and whips out this gorgeous fan (Bing-ge's jealous because who gave the demon this fan and why hadn't HE given it to him??). Despite being what some would call a half-feral demon (he isn't), he actually radiates class thank you very much due to his human roots from before his transmigration (he was an internet gremlin, but I like to think he had a wealthy family that taught him that etiquette he needed for formal situations). B) He is undeniably surprised when Shen Yuan eventually breaks through the array and is like "fun hang out, thanks for not killing me!" and just disappears with whatever he was trying to steal. Bing-ge's like "oh my gawd, just like me fr" and needs to find out everything ever possible about him or he's going to lose his mind. C) Oh my god, I'm madly in love with foils, I love that idea. They're similar in so many ways and yet there are certain differences between them that wildly change who they are as people. From a reader's perspective, Shen Yuan understands this. From the perspective of a character? It's absolutely insane that he's comparing himself to the Luo Bing-ge like the emperor could ever be compared to this crow demon. (It also brings me to the question, what on earth is Airplane doing in this AU, if he's there at all?). The idea of the crow family settling in with humans to escape from a demon lord is sooo good because then, when Shen Yuan is being courted by this emperor, it's hard for them not to feel suspicious of it all!!! {part four!
