can someone send me 5k to buy new clothes

#i mean its not like i dont have clothes #but i feel like i really dont bave clothes when i see ppl at college wear new stuff every week #i have 2 pairs of jeans #like 3-5 shirts #4-5kurtis #one denim jacket two hoodies and a regular jacket thats atleast 4 years old #i dont even have joggers #or sweats #mostly because like. i dont get my size in cheap yknow? so i tend to not go shopping unless i absolutely need something #me not having money was ofc another factor #but now im thoda comfy with my body i want to start experimenting with some clothes but #the no money thing is still a thing

Knees: fine, cuffs: fine; but 3 years in, and all that stands between the world and my astronaut-patterned taint is 0.5µm of denim worn so thin that every squat threatens to tear it to shreds like wet toilet paper. If the Tiktok craft community could figure out a way to resurrect jeans afflicted in such a way that doesn't involve adding a whole ass buttpatch like some sort of inverse assless chaps situation then that'd be great

#and yes i have indeed experimented with trying to add invisible patches on the INSIDE of the jean but unfortunately #trying to sew anything to the non-euclidean hellscape that is the crotch area of a pair of pants #inevitably ends up 1. (hand-sewing) puckered as hell or 2. (machine sewing) w me accidentally sewing a leg hole closed 😔

i need to have words with whoever dressed buck for his date bc what is even going on here??? white sneakers are super casual, paired with more formal shiny black dress pants (look at those pleats!), with a semi-casual button-up polo??? to say nothing of the disconnect colour-wise (the only worse outfits of his this season are the finale fits, but that’s another post).

he looks as disappointed in himself as i am in the wardrobe department.

i need to headcanon that he had trouble deciding on what to wear, going back and forth for an hour before finally landing on an ensemble he thought was good [spoiler alert: it was not, in fact good]. for someone who had dressed pretty well this season, this outfit was shock-horror.

It's very funny being like... a stereotypically (as in, straight masc) masculine queer person. Like it's frustrating because I would love to have cute moments where I share tips with a trans woman or maybe help somebody in that kind of way, but like... why should she or anybody else listen to me when I only got my third pair of jeans recently? 😭

brother I have never had to do so much research about clothes. my history with fashion is going to the mall and getting a shirt I think is cute twice a year at most

I used to have one but it was Jeans and Not That Cute of a cut #realistically. I’m going to mostly keep wearing joggers and t shirts and Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts. BUT!! I WANTED TO TRY BEING CUTE #SO IM TRYING 2 BE CUTE. and handsome. at the same time #and might look more into cyberpunk techwear even though it’s so extremely expensive

It’s been a while since I last posted a picture here, but I figured I’d share one now. :-D I’m currently on a cruise with my parents that they got as a sorta graduation gift for me (except that I’m fairly certain I failed my final exam so I’ve not technically graduated yet… oops). Either way, I decided to wear this pretty emerald green (that looks blue with the filters I put on it) dress that I got for less than $10 at a bin store. :-D

(Also, if anyone was unaware, a bin store is a store that has a bunch of bins of stuff that are all sold for the same price. Each day the prices decrease until restock day, when it restarts. My local bin store goes from $15, to $10, $7, $5, $3, then finally $1 before restocking. I either got this dress on the $10, $7, or $5, not sure. I also got my shoes for $1.50 at a close out sale for a Forever 21, so all in all my outfit’s a good deal, which I always love to get. ^-^)

#Sorry for talking about the price of the dress by the way #I just love getting good deals and like talking about it. :-D #Speaking of good deals my dad was able to get $500 off my cruise because he got a coupon from a FB game he plays #So my room was less than $300 for him. Which is nice #GPOY #Hopefully this posts #I tried posting it earlier and it didn’t post…#Sp I had to rewrite the whole thing. Oof #Oh also I once got a wedding dress for $10 at the bin store. I learned later that it apparently retailed for about $300 online #I also got a dual kurig that retails for $190 for $15 once #Seriously if you have bin stores nearby you should check them out #I’ve gotten a ton of cheap stuff from mine #Like seven pairs of jeans for $2 each… though I don’t wear jeans so they’ve been in storage for years #BUT! i truly don’t think highrise will ever be out of fashion bc it’s both a fashion style and also seems to be a cultural like statement piece for this current generation ( no clue if that wording makes sense but i mean like . the previous gen had the low rise so now this gen has the high rise ) BUT!!! ive noticed way more people are shifting to mid and low rise over high rise so it seems the future fashion trends will basically incorporate all three of the rise styles ( stores currently are selling mid and low rise when before i only used to see highrise) honestly, though, if you like mid rise def go for it ! i prefer that and low rise alot more bc highrise just doesn’t look great on me imoo

finally, stores selling all the rise ranges is literally ALL i want bc trends mean nothing to me! i just want to like what i like in peace lol. i do love the high-rise look ngl bc it IS comfortable but so much of what i wear is based on versatility and mid-rise was THE girl for me

#tbh i dont want high-rise to go out of style i want the notion of “in style” to go out of style bc im tired of what is actually available #to me being offered on the whim of whoever decides these things 2 years in advance #also i do have a pair of high rise jeans and i love them bc they are the most comfortable things on earth but there's a limit to what i can #wear with them. or feel good wearing which is my only criteria. not that its bad per se bc on the whole i have like...4 looks that i wear #in general anyway and thats about it #but im a profoundly lazy person at heart and i did not have to think with my old mid-rise pair rip billy jean u will be missed #ask #anonymous

One fine day in 2019, I put on my first pair of loose jeans and there was no going back.

#I got 2 pairs from H&M. They were both high waisted and loose #one was a light wash mom jean and the other was my favourite dark wash jean #I wore the HECK out of them before I got myself some reformation (also loose AF) jeans #With those jeans I'd found my style and 5 years later I now wear lower waisted jeans but my style for jeans has only gotten baggier #as my tops have only gotten more fitted with time. I just love me a Y2K skater girl aesthetic #I love how even though Y2K fashion is back we've left skinny jeans behind and it is still not back in style #I don't miss my skinny jean era. I looked fine but I hadn't found my sense of style #now I get compliments on my fashion sense everytime I step out which is really one of the best compliments #consumerism #fashion #personal
