Happy Halloween, Witches
Ah, 2020. The year that canceled everything thus far. No traveling, no real summer. You couldn’t even get back to work and neither could Charlie. You had spent your time writing up ideas for new shows and pitching some ideas over Zoom to the rest of the Outer Banks writing team. It sucked. Mostly because you couldn’t see any family or friends in real life. And now that October has come around, it seems nothing has changed much. In fact, it’s gotten even worse.
There was a second lockdown looming and you could just about see  your perfect Halloween night shattering right before your eyes. Sure, you were just planning on inviting some friends over and watching horror movies, eating pizza and snacks, but it still sucked that wouldn’t happen now after all.
Charlie had noticed on Monday how bummed you were when you realized things were getting worse. He knew how much you loved the holiday and how excited you were to see friends and spend some time with them. So, he set his plan in motion.
On Saturday morning, you wake up to a cold, empty bed and the sound of clanging pans and cutlery coming from the kitchen. Confused, and still a little sleep-drunk, you get out of bed and slip on Charlie’s sweater to keep you at least a little warm since you were just wearing a shirt of his. (You’d almost think you don’t ever wear your own clothes anymore). From the little corridor that connects the bedrooms to the living and kitchen area, you can already spot him at the stove. Curious and a little endeared that he’d be cooking this early in the morning, you make your way towards him, only to be surprised by the living room being coated in full Halloween gear. Spiders in spider webs everywhere, pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts in every nook and cranny.
“Char… Wha--?” he turns to you, eyes widening first before his smile appears instead.
“Get back to bed, I was gonna wake you up with a song.” You walk over to him, peeking over his shoulder to what he’s making. Pumpkin pancakes. He’s actually making pancakes in the form of little pumpkins. Could he be any cuter?
“You’ve missed your true calling, baby,” you tell him and kiss his bare shoulder. A light chuckle arises from his body, making his shoulders shake slightly. You then turn around to eye the feast he had already spread out on the table.
Everything is in theme. Halloween doughnuts, a giant fake pumpkin with fruit seeping out of its mouth. You assume he just went on Pinterest to inspire him and then, when walking down the aisles in the shops, just grabbed everything that seemed even slightly Halloweeny. “Can I help you with anything?” you ask, looking around for a job to do. Charlie turns around to place the plate with a pile of pumpkin pancakes on the table, placing a gentle hand on the small of your back as he leaned past  you.
“No, I got it covered,” he presses a kiss to your hair before turning to go to the fridge. “Sit down, baby.” Slightly disgruntled, you sigh and sit down on the chair closest to you.
“Why are we doing this, Gillespie? Got something to make up for?” you ask teasingly after taking another glance at the breakfast spread in front of you.
“Can’t I just surprise my girlfriend with the breakfast of dreams?” He asks and places a hand on the back of your neck while leaning forward to pour some orange juice into a glass. His fingers softly scratch your scalp, and you can’t help but lean into his touch. “Besides, I noticed how bummed you were about our plans with our friends falling apart, so I came up with a plan to make it the best Halloween I could, despite being stuck inside with me.” You nearly melt at this idea of his. He did all of this. For you. Just because you were bummed about cancelled plans. How did you ever earn a beautiful, good soul like him?
“I would’ve enjoyed just watching movies tonight with you, too, you goof,” you say, which sends a smile right up to his lips. “But thank you.” He leans down to press his lips on yours quickly before turning to grab a few more things and then joining you at the table.
“So, I have an entire day of fun things planned for us,” he starts when you take your first bite of pumpkin pancake, a delightful moan escaping  your lips at the amazing taste tingling your taste buds. Charlie shoots you an amused look with risen eyebrows and a smirk.
“These are good!” you exclaim, “But go on, what are the fun things you planned?” Charlie is seemingly brought back into reality by that question as he slightly shakes his head and blinks his eyes a few times quickly.
“So, remember when you kinda joked we should go as each other for Halloween?” You nod your head slowly, that was something you did suggest as a Halloween costume last month when you were planning the whole night. All your friends would’ve come dressed up. It was mandatory to do so on Halloween, you thought. “I think we should do it. We should dress as each other and then we’re going to the shops to get us some tools and pumpkins…” Your eyes widen at this, already know what the rest of his plan is.
“We’re gonna carve pumpkins?!” you nearly scream. This makes him laugh, shaking his head at how freaking adorable you are with your little bounds of excitement. It’s the same way he gets excited about the things he’s passionate about.
“Yes, we are! And then we’re gonna bake some Halloween cookies, order pizza and watch movies all night long!” You shriek with exhilaration, and get up to run around the table towards your boyfriend, attacking him with your lips on his. He chuckles against your lips, pulling you down to his lap. You deepen the kiss while your hands tangle up in his hair. This makes him stop giggling as he melts right into you, his hands roaming from your waist down your thigh and back up.
“You are the greatest boyfriend, you know that?” you tell him when you pull back, resting your forehead against his and staring in his eyes. He pecks your lips once more before leaning over to grab a piece of fruit and feeding it to you.
“You deserve it, baby,” he tells you with a shrug whilst you grab another piece of fruit and hold it out to him to eat. “We both love Halloween, so it seemed a little lame to just watch movies together,  you know? That’s a regular Thursday in this household.” You giggle at that. He’s not wrong. During lockdown, you’ve watched so many movies, you’ve lost count.
“I love you,” you whisper and kiss him again. The taste of strawberry still faintly on his lips.
“I love you too, like so much.” He plants another kiss on your lips before you both turn back to your breakfast, but staying where you are; on his lap. You feed each other fruit and pancakes and doughnuts whilst chatting about how excited you were about the entire day.
After breakfast, he let you get dressed first whilst he cleaned up the kitchen. You’d suggested to help, but he insisted on you getting dressed and ready instead. So, you do. You shower, dry your hair and curl it, then put on very minimal makeup, just to hide those bags and blemishes. As an outfit, you picked out some dungarees (because, let’s be honest, Charlie looked cutest in his dungarees), steal his Sunset Curve Summer Tour ‘95 shirt to go underneath it and your white Adidas on your feet. You also steal one of his snapbacks since his lockdown-hair has needed some support to keep it out of his eyes.
Once ready, you check yourself in the full-length mirror, then nod, satisfied with the ensemble. You can’t wait to see Charlie’s reaction to this costume of yours or what he has planned for his costume.
“Cover your eyes!” you yell into the direction of the living room.
“Covered!” he yells back, and you make your way cautiously into the living room where you find Charlie on the couch with his phone in his lap and his hands over his eyes. He looks like an actual toddler like this. It’s the most endearing thing you’d ever seen, so you quickly snap a picture before stepping in front of him.
“Okay, open.” He slowly takes his hands away from his eyes, and lets them wander over your entire body. His lips part as some excess air needs to leave his lungs from that breath-taking view in front of him. “You like it?” you ask, twirling around, so he can see the entire thing. He quickly places his phone on the couch and stands up, placing his hands on your waist.
“You look better in this outfit than I ever would, Gorgeous,” he mumbles before leaning down and pressing a chaste kiss to your lips. “You make me crazy, Y/L/N.” You comb your fingers through the front of his hair, making his gorgeous eyes more visible to you.
“Ditto, Gillespie,” you whisper and kiss him once again. “Now, you get dressed. I’m curious to see what you come up with.” After having kissed your nose quickly, he dashes past you and into the bedroom, leaving you all by yourself. It takes him about fifteen minutes before his voice chimes through the apartment.
“I’m ready! Close your eyes!” You place your hands over your eyes, a smile tugging at your lips in excitement. “Okay, open.” His voice sounds closer, a little teasing, even. You slowly remove your hands, your eyes widening and your mouth dropping at the sight in front of you. He’s wearing a loose, black boiler suit, complete with red-and-white belt, exactly how you’d wear it. On his feet, he’s wearing Dr. Martin’s ankle boots.
“This is the best thing I ever did see!” you exclaim excitedly as he makes a little twirl. “We need to take a photo!” You grab your phone from the pocket of your dungarees and get it set up on a self-timer and so that it takes multiple pictures in one take before placing it on the tv stand. Once you press the button, you hurry to Charlie, who has his arms open.
“Jump!” he says, and you quickly do so, wrapping  your legs around his waist at the same moment your phone starts taking the pictures. For the next few, you keep your feet on the floor, leaning against your boyfriend. The first ones, you’re looking at the camera, but Charlie’s looking at you. Then you’re looking at him but he’s not. And on the last one, you’re staring in each other’s eyes with wide smiles on your faces. For the last group of shots, you squat down and cross your arms, Charlie following your example. In the second shot, you both hold your hand up in a rock sign, sticking out your tongues. The last one of that group of pictures is of both of you falling on your butts due to the lack of balance.
“Those last ones are hilarious,” he says, pointing at the ones where you’re both on your ass, throwing your head back with laughter. “Let’s go get our pumpkins now first!”
Tumblr media
Back home with the two biggest pumpkins you could find, -- there weren’t very many left -- the two of you start by covering the floor with an old sheet before getting your new utensils out and starting the carving process. While you’re spooning out pumpkin seeds, there’s music playing in the background, and the two of you are talking about what you’re about to do to the pumpkins. Charlie’s going to go for a Pennywise face whilst you’re cutting out three ghosts. He couldn’t help but smile at that idea of yours. You really were the cutest when you’re in your element about this holiday.
“I think I’m done,” you say, leaning back to take a last look at the entire finished product. Charlie rests his head on your shoulder, peeking over to see your piece of art. “The guitars were really hard to do.” You point to Ghost Reggie’s bass and Ghost Luke’s guitar. “But the drumsticks were easy.” Charlie chuckles and plants a kiss underneath your ear, tasting a bit of pumpkin. This makes him scrunch his nose in disgust. Raw pumpkin does not taste that great.
“How in the holy hell did you get a little pumpkin behind your ear?” he asks and takes his finger to wipe any residue away.
“I’ve got no clue,” you say and turn your head to face him, only to find a pumpkin seed stuck in his long hair. A laugh erupts from your body, shaking you from head to toe. “You’ve got some in your hair.” He tries to pluck it out, but keeps missing, so you help him out instead. “I shouldn’t have showered this morning,” you laugh, shaking your head at your own stupid desicion. Charlie laughs too before getting up with his pumpkin in hands.
“Let’s put them on the kitchen island,” he suggests and makes his way there. “I’ll grab some tealights.” While he does that, you get up too and place  your Julie and The Phantoms one next to his Pennywise one. They don’t look too bad in your opinion.
Charlie returns with two little tealights and places one in each pumpkin whilst you grab the matches, but Charlie stops you before you can light them. “It’s still light out, babe. That’s not gonna have much effect,” he chuckles. “We’ll light them later. Let’s bake now!” You nod your head vigorously and skip into the kitchen.
That afternoon is spent baking cookies and cupcakes, and ends in a food fight with flour everywhere. To say this is the best Halloween you ever had would be the biggest understatement of the year. Even though it’s not exactly how you planned it, it’s still the most perfect day ever, thanks to Charlie. And that’s not even all he’d planned.
By nightfall, the two of you had lit your pumpkins, placed the treats on the coffee table and had a movie ready to play on the tv when Charlie’s phone started to ring. A little confused and disgruntled about the interruption, you peer over his shoulder to see who’s calling him. Owen Joyner wants to facetime Julie and the Phantoms
Charlie glances at you with a smirk on his face before picking up the phone. The blonde guy you’ve come to love appears on the small screen, along with Jeremy and Carolynn, and Madison.
“Hey guys!” Charlie greets excited while you offer an excited wave.
“Happy Halloween, Witches!” Owen yells. That’s when  you realize they, too, are dressed up. Owen has fake blood run from his lip and has a black cape draped over his shoulders. Carolynn and Jeremy are dressed as angel and devil whilst Madison is a witch.
“What are you dressed as?” Owen asks, peering at his screen to try and figure it out.
“Each other!” you reply, which sends all of them into a fit of laughter.
“That’s very original!” Carolynn compliments. “You rock those dungarees, Y/N!”
“Thanks, angel,” you retort, a little flustered at the compliment.
The FaceTime call lasts for about an hour and a half until Charlie decides to call it quits and start watching movies instead. You bid your goodbyes to your friends before cuddling up to Charlie as he puts his phone away.
“This has really been the greatest Halloween, Char. Thank you,” you whisper and lean up to meet his lips for a sweet, long kiss.
“Anything for you, Gorgeous.” You lie down on his chest again, getting kissed on the head as  you do so. You can’t help but sigh happily. Charlie really went all out with the surprises. From the breakfast spread to carving pumpkins and baking Halloween cookies to the surprise phone call from the guys and even the costume.
That night, you post a bunch of pictures to Instagram. The first is one of the posed one of your outfits, then follows the one of Charlie covering his eyes on the sofa, your carved pumpkins and the one picture where you’ve both fallen on your ass after losing balance.
“Wanna thank this little goofball for going all out on my favorite day of the year. Guess I should be more bummed about little things from now on if it means getting pumpkin pancakes, dressing up as each other and all the other amazing surprises. Thank you, baby. You really are the greatest of all time. @charles_gillespie 💗 Happy Halloween, Witches! 🎃”

Petrichor (n): a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.
Hi everyone! I’m back in business!! I won’t be posting frequently because I’m trying not to have another huge burnout like last time, and I haven’t had many ideas lately... I’m working on the 3rd part of Golden Hours right now! I have to rewrite it entirely. But until then, I’m going to post this, which was inspired by “Umbrella” by Ember Island. Also tell me if I made any mistakes with pronouns. Enjoy!
f/e: favorite tea, f/d: favorite donut, e/c: eye color, h/c: hair color
-+The rain poured down on the roof of the coffee shop that the two were in. The pair was outside, enjoying their respected drinks and snacks, but once it started to sprinkle they quickly retreated to the indoor seating. Y/N shook the water droplets out of their hair as the the two stepped inside.
“Christ that came fast!” Y/N sighed loudly. “I didn’t even know it was supposed to rain, I would’ve brought a coat!” Their body shuddered as they clutched their arms. Of course, Y/N had decided to pick a very light outfit that day. Mondo frowned, sighing as he rang out his hair the best he could without ruining it too much. Though it was already falling apart, so there was hardly a point anymore.
“I did tell you it was going to rain.”
“Yeah, well I didn’t believe you! You’re not a weatherman.” Y/N pouted. “You’re normally the wrong one. Plus it was super nice out, minus the clouds.” They usually liked it cloudier anyway, and a little rain, but this was a little excessive. If it wasn’t summer you’d think it was hail. Y/N sauntered up to the side of the counter where you’d return your tea cups. Dumping out the rest of the now ruined cup of f/t, they placed it next to all the other empty cups. Y/N somberly returned to Mondo’s side. “Did you save the donuts?” Mondo held out his empty hand. A defeated groan escaped Y/N’s lips.
“Hey, at least we got a couple in our system.” Mondo smiled half heartedly. Y/N nodded, somber about the lost donuts.
“Yeah, at least.” The two sat down at an empty booth, attempting to wait out the rain. Mondo had actually come prepared, wearing a brown jacket and jeans, so he was doing much better than Y/N. Y/N turned their head out to the window, watching the aggressive rain hit the ground and roofs. Mondo turned his head to watch as well.
“It’s not supposed to end for a couple hours.” Y/N stayed silent for a few minutes. The smell of coffee and sweet filled the pair’s nostrils, along with the very faint scent of the rain that remained absorbed into them. The male stood up and retreated. Y/N did not look where.
…
A couple minutes later, he returned with a second cup and 2 donuts wrapped in a napkin. One f/d and one with chocolate glaze on top. Y/N gave a soft smile and gently took the f/d one from Mondo, careful to not touch the donut itself. The two ate and watched the rain for a few minutes in silence. Y/N slowly began to zone out, wondering if this would be considered a date. Not like it mattered, they had thought. This is fun. But even so they felt a bit curious, and a part of them wished it was. Once they finished their donuts, Y/N slipped out of the booth.
“Race you back to the dorms?” Mondo looked up from his seat, his eyes widening.
“Are you serious? You’re gonna slip and die out there, or catch a cold.” Y/N shrugged, smiling. A small, mischievous glimmer was eminent in their eyes.
“At least I had fun before I died.” His eyebrows furrowed angrily, glaring daggers into them. Y/N laughed, mustering out a quiet ‘what??’. Mondo sighed. He slipped out of the deep brown seat and stood next to them at the glass doors. The streets were empty, not even any cars around. It was around 4pm, so people wouldn’t really be out until 5-6ish, making their ways home if they weren’t already there. The two began to count in unison.
3…
2…
1!
The two glass doors were shoved open, Y/N quickly getting ahead of Mondo, her boots slamming against the cold, wet ground. Water kicked up everywhere around them. Mondo, however, caught up quick and, carefully, shoved Y/N to the side. They laughed and shoved him back. They ducked under his next swing and slid down the sidewalk, picking up speed with the water. But their laughter died fast as they tripped on the drop of the sidewalk into the road, falling thankfully, palms first. Y/N released a loud curse, hands scraping across the ground as they flopped sadly onto their stomach, face landing in a puddle. Mondo slowed to a stop behind them.
“Hey, you okay?” He held out his palm, holding in laughter. Y/N looked up at him, and smirked.
“You jerk, this isn’t funny!”
“It totally is.” They both laughed, their boisterous sounds echoing through the empty, dim lit streets. Mondo helped them out of the soaked road, checking their palms.
“Christ, Dad-” Y/N exaggerated, rolling their eyes, “I’m fine, seriously.” Mondo snickered.
“Sorry, just thought I’d check. You do get hurt easy.” Y/N’s jaw dropped, clearly mocking offense. They smacked his chest, mumbling about how he was a jerk, which obviously made him crack up laughing. The two continued to walk across the street and back onto the sidewalk, where they slowly began to notice their gorgeous surroundings. It was gradually getting dark now, both from the fog and the time passing. Water droplets fell down the foggy store windows and there was dew on the flowers and plants they’d occasionally pass by. It also smelt amazing, since it hadn’t rained in a while. It was so fresh...calming, and beautiful. The petrichor made the moment that much better. Though, it was absolutely freezing. The two students were both absolutely drenched. The rain had slowed down by now, but it definitely wasn’t stopping anytime soon. They agreed that they could call the race a tie, after a few minutes of back and forth arguing about it, and decided to just admire their surroundings. Mondo’s eyes glanced over at his best friend. Their eyes shined in the rain, their hair a strewn and soaked mess. Thankfully they didn’t look injured from the fall, but...they were clearly shivering pretty bad. He rolled his eyes, internally groaning. If only Y/N had listened…
Even so, he removed his jacket and gently placed it over them. It was also soaked, but still gave a bit of warmth compared to their hardly covered form. Y/N looked over and gave him a small smile.
“Thank you.” Mondo grinned back, ruffling Y/N’s already destroyed hair. His pompadour had finally fallen out and blocked most of his sight. He slicked it back, blowing a stray strand out of his eyes.
“Fuckin’ hair. Sucks being this long.” Y/N shook their head.
“It sucks to take care of, but you look good,” Their arm rose to wipe their own face with his jacket sleeve. “Plus I don’t think you’d look very good with short hair. Maybe if you slicked it back.”
“Yeah, but then I’d be a carbon copy of Daiya.” Y/N laughed, nodding.
“Very true.”
The rain pitter pattering around them slowly absorbed their words. Y/N focused on their feet and the reflections in the puddles on the ground, but Mondo focused on them. God did she look like a mess. But a really, really good looking mess. Their e/c and hair blended nicely with the cool colors of their surroundings. His eyes twinkled as he took in their features. Even what they thought were flaws, like their small bit of acne or their rolls or their skin. They all were so… them. He couldn’t really explain it, but he really liked them for who they were. He was sure of that.
“Thank you.” Y/N looked up at him, confused.
“For what?” Their smile was awkward as Y/N slightly tilted their head, the clumped wet hair on their head falling to the right side of their face with a quiet splat. Mondo held in a laugh.
“For coming out here with me. Going on a date with me.” Y/N’s eyes widened, looking shocked. He quickly realized his mistake. “Shit, sorry, I never really asked you out, huh? I dunno this just really felt like a date to me and I-”
“It’s okay,” They interrupted. Mondo stopped, his mouth shutting. He probably looked like an idiot deer in the headlights. Y/N snickered, a small smile shining on their shadowed face, the rain rolling off her. “You can call this a date. I sort of thought the same thing.” Y/N paused.
“...I had a lot of fun too. I always have fun when I’m with you, Mondo.” Mondo huffed, smirking. Of course they do, he thought. I’m super cool.
…
He was really glad they had fun. And a thought crossed his mind… Did he finally get somewhere with them? He quickly snapped out of it when Y/N spoke.
“Sorry...say that again?” Y/N looked up at him, stopping walking. He did as well, anticipation sending more chills through his already cool body. Y/N smiled.
“Would you want to do something like this again?”
…
“That was supposed to be my line.”
“Should’ve said it sooner, dork.”
“.....” He sighed, but slowly smiled, the corner of his eyes creasing. He felt warmth in his chest. It helped him fight the cold, even for just a minute. “Yeah, obviously.”
They both discovered they had a cold by the time they had gotten home. But oh well, it was worth it. Since now, they’d be going out again soon. ...Right after they recovered. Gross.+-

Paris Haute Couture Week S/S 2020 Plus a Little Jacquemus: Okay, Dior DID Suck (Part 2/2)
Hi to anyone reading,
First of all, thank you! I have never had a post do as well as the part 1 of my haute couture week review did and I am so overwhelmed with the positive feedback. This is probably funny to read for those of you getting thousands of reblogs on your posts, me acting like I won an academy award because I got a couple of hundred, but honestly I don’t expect any traction when I write on here (it’s basically just me word vomiting everything I’m thinking as if people want to hear it aka. mouthing off into what I thought was the void) so if you did read it, thank you! I do spend a long-ass time on these so it means a lot:-)
I’ll leave the self-indulgent ramble there though as it’s probably not what you came for and jump straight into part 2 of my thoughts, starting with Jacquemus. Yeah, I knew what I was doing when I tagged that in my last post. Simon Porte Jacquemus is the man of the *fashion* people right now; I’ve even found myself coming round to the Le Chiquito bag despite my original thought being “well, that’s fucking useless”. I know, I know, technically it’s not haute couture; it was part of Men’s Fashion Week, but it happened around the same time and everyone was talking about it on Twitter, so I feel like I have to include it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a way, it kind of reminds me of Bottega Veneta’s last RTW show, in that, especially with the women’s outfits, we seem to be sticking with simple, fitted garments and chunky, more statement jewellery. I’ve got to say I like the styling here a lot more though, and in general I’m a fan of this collection. The collared tops with cut outs underneath blazers are cool and I can’t wait until it gets warm enough for me to not feel dumb wearing my headscarfs like this; there’s a LOT of summer outfit inspiration. It’s not a mind-blowing collection or anything but it is effortlessly sexy and that’s something I wish I could say about myself. Most of us can only hope to look half as good as these models do whilst making the effort but at least Jacquemus is aspirational, lol.
I also fucking adore this colour palette. I’m sick of neutrals literally just meaning brown and white; the navy, sand and muted khaki is a fresh edition to what is usually interpreted as the colours you’d seen worn by Disney’s Riverboat Cruise staff and only Disney’s Riverboat Cruise staff. And I mean, come on-what is more neutral than typical English school carpet blue.
Next for the whole reason I had to make this haute couture week review 2 separate posts: Jean Paul Gaultier’s final show.

In the best way possible, it’s a lot. I don’t even really know where to start, except to say that I guess this is a fitting last show; a celebration of everything campy, messy, weird, performative, and punk is the perfect send off for a brand whose best known perfume of the last few years is called Scandal. More than anything, the final show represented the range of characters and cultures that have influenced JPG throughout his half-a-decade-long career, the lines that supposedly separate what is “masculine” and “feminine”, “old” and “young” and ultimately art and fashion blurred in the most exaggerated way possible. Sure, there are some looks which are individually a bit messy here but the way they were grouped into almost chapter-like segments meant that when you see them all together, they work. Nods to the patterns and structures that recurred from season to season were sprinkled throughout, from sailor stripes to corsets to the expected whirlwinds of colour. I’ll even allow the wellies in that one outfit; if I can get over bucket hats in Peter fucking Pilotto’s last RTW show, I can get over some questionable shoes here. Middle aged fishermen and boys who liked to pose with monster carp in their Tinder pictures as some weird display of masculinity everywhere rejoice.
Now onto a show that I personally found slightly disappointing: Margiela.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think this one is a bit TOO weird for me. Like if you’re gonna go avant-garde, go all out. Chiffon gimp masks (I don’t know if that’s the intention here but that’s what I’m getting, sorry Maison) are something I’m not particularly fond of and I’ve never been a fan of the Tabi boots in the first place, let alone when they’ve seemingly been blown up to Michelin man style proportions. I didn’t find the show to be a total lost cause-I enjoyed the colour palette and I’ve always liked that contrast stitching detail, plus the bowler hats are interesting-but on the whole considering how much I liked the last RTW show, this is a bit of a let down.
The looks I included are salvageable but (I feel mean saying this) there were genuinely a lot of pieces that did just resemble bits of fabric draped over each over with no discernible rhyme or reason, so much so that they reminded me of some of the monstrosities I saw at a Drag Race pub quiz this one time where we had 5 mins to make some garms out of loo roll and then have a team member model them for points down a makeshift runway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ralph and Russo was alright. There were a few pieces that I really liked but again, I can’t help but compare this collection to the last, where it felt like the fussy details of bows and sequins and feathers and the Barbie Dreamhouse palette were utilised with a direction in mind. Here, I don’t get that. As ever, the gowns are gorgeous and I’d pay good money just to try one on for five minutes but as an overall collection I’d say there was a lack of higher vision, which is probably the snobbiest sentence I’ve ever written so forgive me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for Ronald Van Der Kemp, I could’ve done without including it to be honest, if it weren’t for the few pieces I’m in love with: the velvet cape, fur trimmed jacket and blue satin dress are probably my favourite pieces here.
So onto a collection I liked a lot more: Schiaparelli.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The influence of nature from flowers in bloom to insects to the organic structure of the human skeleton is as present as ever, though this collection includes a lot more delicate symbolism than usual. Honestly, the details make it for me; the brooches, earrings and facial jewellery are other-worldly touches to outfits that could otherwise be simple fashion magazine editor on-the-go. That’s not in itself a bad thing! The suits are gorgeous. I mean, I’m talking fashion editor in New York in a power suit yelling orders down the phone while she rushes along with a coffee. A Miranda Priestley in the making type woman. THAT’S a modern take on the divine feminine that Maria Grazia should’ve been going for; our goddesses aren’t women who sit around looking pretty (though that helps too) and place curses on mere mortals anymore, they’re women who get shit done.

With regards to Valentino, which was also a delight, let me start by saying this colour palette is EVERYTHING. It’s ugly sisters in Cinderella fantastic, and we know those 2 were the real fashion icons really. Other than that, I adore the Old Hollywood silhouettes from the gloves to the Liz Taylor-in-Cleopatra-level-dramatic earrings. Everything is opulent and expensive-looking and pretty much what we’ve all come to expect from Valentino. A strong 8/10.

For me personally, Viktor and Rolf was a standout and one of my favourite collections of haute couture week. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and I know it’s at the complete opposite end of the spectrum to what was probably my other favourite collection, Elie Saab, but this is just my style down to a T, the perfect balance of grungy and cutesy that I want to achieve.
There’s probably going to be a lot of objections to the temporary face tattoos and I get that, but I think they’re fucking sick. I obviously wouldn’t get a permanent one lest my mother murder me in cold blood however if I did, you bet I would be pairing them with frilly-ass babydoll dresses that you could pick up in Camden Market like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And last but not least (that would be Dior), there’s Zuhair Murad.
Sigh.
IDK, man. Seeing Zuhair Murad dresses on Tumblr and WeHeartIt (remember that site? It still exists!) as a 14 year old was one of the things that got me into fashion, so it sucks that almost every time a new collection comes around, I feel underwhelmed. Disappointingly, the brand hasn’t really progressed all that much since 2013. It goes without saying that the stoning and the embroidery and sequins are stunning and would make anyone feel like a princess but from a critical point of view, I’m just not seeing anything new here. Whereas I feel like Elie Saab, for example, reflected the growing fascination with East Asian fashion and recognition of the supremacy of the region’s street style in his haute couture last collection, Zuhair Murad seems to be stuck designing the same dresses he was 6 years ago.
To pick one example, the rounded stoned necklines are so outdated that they’ve been making their way onto department store prom dresses for years. I get that it’s supposed to be a reference to Ancient Egyptian style and I respect that, I was one of those 8 year old that was obsessed with mummies and the “Curse of Tutankhamun”, but couldn’t it be done in a more interesting way? It’s Maria Grazia’s spin on Ancient Greece all over again. Now I get how how the I imagine very niche subsection of people who are into fashion and Julius Caesar (okay, so I don’t even know if they still believed in mythology and all that malarky at that point in history but just roll with my comparison here) might’ve felt going through Vogue Runway. Anyway, I hate to end on a critical note and so be clear, these are still absolutely magnificent dresses. If we ignore those ugly round necklines, that is.
So that’s it for this post! If you read part 1 and 2, I hope you enjoyed it! As always, let me know your opinions and feel free to disagree. I’m literally just about to start trawling through all the A/W 2020 RTW collections though I imagine that’s gonna take me way longer to do than this, so I wouldn’t expect that for a month or two. In the meantime, I’m trying to fit shooting a Euphoria-inspired lookbook into my days off work which is looking atm like it’s going to be the end of March, so look out for that, and also a review of the red carpet fashion from this season’s award shows.
As ever, thank you so much for reading and again, thank you for the reception on part 1 if you were one of the people that read it. It makes staying up til 3am with the jitters seem worthwhile, lol!

TAGGED BY @berestweys. thanks sweetheart!
I’m trying to write a fic and it is NOT HAPPENING so we’re gonna try disconnecting the brain via fun memes and see if it helps.
1. What is the colour of your hairbrush? I have two hairbrushes! the one I use when my hair is wet is kind of abstract with blue, pink, purple, and gold splotches on a black background. the one I use when my hair is dry is rose gold. (rose gold paint, that is. it’s not like...a solid gold hairbrush. Just to clarify.)
2. Name a food you never eat. meat! I’m vegetarian. also no thank you to mushrooms.
3. Are you typically too warm or too cold? this has changed in the last couple years and I can’t explain it. I used to always be too warm but for the last few years I’ve been cold just all the time. I spent all summer wearing sweaters.
4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago? searching for inspiration via chores. I cleaned the bathroom. it did not help.
5. What’s your favourite candy bar? lion bar
6. Have you ever been to a professional sports game? I....think so? I have very vague memories of potentially attending an Astros game when I was a kid? but the keyword here is vague. very possible that was just a dream. I certainly haven’t done so in recent memory.
7. What is the last thing you said out loud? "no, that doesn’t work.” (seriously, writing is hard.)
8. What is your favourite ice cream? mint chocolate chip!
9. What was the last thing you had to drink? water
10. Do you like your wallet? it’s very functional, so sure.
11. What is the last thing you ate? a piece of chocolate.
12. Did you buy any new clothes last weekend? nope.
13. What’s the last sporting event you watched? uhhhh...when the Astros won the world series a couple years ago, I watched the last game. so that. (not a big sports fan, y’all.)
14. What is your favourite flavour of popcorn? mostly just plain butter and salt. but I do love some caramel corn at Christmas.
15. Who is the last person you sent a text message to? my Lexi
16. Ever been camping? fun story: when I was a girl scout my troop leaders did not want to take us camping for real, so we were gonna set up tents in their backyards. except when the time came we were under air quality alerts. so instead we slept in sleeping bags on the troop leader’s living room floor. and that is the closest I ever got to camping.
17. Do you take vitamins? nope. (I should! but I don’t.)
18. Do you regularly attend a place of worship? not recently. I kind of fell out of the habit after I moved to Louisiana last summer because the priests at the closest church are just....very boring. which is awful, but true. I dozed off during the first couple homilies at the masses I attended and eventually I just stopped going. I made a resolution as part of my Lenten observation to attend weekly mass again and did really well at first! but then, you know. COVID.
19. Do you have a tan? I do not.
20. Do you prefer chinese or pizza? pizza, definitely.
21. Do you drink your soda through a straw? only when it comes from a restaurant.
22. What colour socks do you usually wear? I have a whole bunch of different socks in varying shades of gold, grey, green, blue...they’re these socks, if anyone’s in the market. (#notspon) very warm and comfy, although I go through them pretty fast. I expect this is because I just wash ‘em regularly instead of following the detailed care instructions. (because who has time?)
23. Do you ever drive above the speed limit? everyone around here drives 5 miles above the speed limit. I do the same to keep with the flow of traffic.
24. What terrifies you? driving into water and being trapped. I’ve been having nightmares about it since before I could even drive.
25. Look to your left, what do you see? my phones.

42. Describe your kitchen plates. white with a blue pattern of leaves and hearts around the edges.
43. Describe your kitchen at the moment. my stove is in desperate need of cleaning. I heated up some tofu cubes the other night that sent tiny fragments flying everywhere, and when I ran a damp towel over the stove to collect the fragments, it came back soooooo gross. so that needs a real scrubbing.

45. Do you play cards? when I was a kid, all the time. these days, not so much.

Set post-Endgame: Bucky’s got a crush on the girl next door.
PAIRING: Bucky x Native American!Reader WARNINGS: slow burn, minor anxieties, eventual smut
read the rest of this series on patreon
Tumblr media
Friday passes in a blur. Bucky skips his usual morning run and can barely focus on anything relatively important, and it’s only when Sam gives him a nudge about deadlines when he pushes thoughts of his impending date out of his head and fills out his mission report.
Saturday comes in a hail of rushing thoughts and a rolling stomach. Bucky can’t remember the last time he was this nervous to go on a date. He starts getting ready at seven, standing under the shower for several minutes and scrubbing away every inch of grime. He even conditions the ends of his hair (something Sam would never let him live down if he saw the expensive-looking bottle) and twists half of it up into a bun to keep it out of his face.
He used to wear suits on his dates, back when he’d take his girl of the evening dancing. Now, men are more casual, and he digs through his minimally-filled closet to find something nice. He settles for a pair of dark jeans, a gray tee shirt, and a black jacket. It’s probably the nicest thing he has, and when he finally takes a quick look at himself in the full-length mirror on the back of his door, he concludes that he doesn’t look half bad.
Now, if only he could get the deer-in-headlights look off his face…
He doesn’t bother taking much, just his moneyclip of twenties and his phone. He’s called the private car again, and the buzzing on his phone lets him know that the driver is ready and waiting in the parking lot.
Sam’s stretched out on the couch with a large bowl of popcorn, and he gives Bucky a teasing whistle.
“Lookin’ good.” He sits up as Bucky walks by, his hands stuffed in his pockets. “Here, I got you somethin’.”
He tosses something small and shiny, and Bucky catches it. As soon as he realizes what it is, his cheeks go flaming hot again.
“I don’t need this.” He holds the condom up between two fingers. Truthfully, he doesn’t. Hydra had taken that option away from him—chemical sterilization was the easiest choice to ensure that, should he ever get released, his altered genetics wouldn’t be passed on. The only person who knows about that little factor in his life is Banner, simply because he oversees all the medical files for the team. “It’s the first date,” he covers.
“Dude, some people do it on the first date.” Sam rolls his eyes. “Just take it.”
Grumbling, Bucky stuffs the foil square into his back pocket and heads out the door. It’s 8:01 when he knocks on your door, and when he hears your footsteps on the other side, he takes a deep breath to steady himself.
You’re wearing a deep yellow blouse and skinny jeans. You’ve done your hair in this beautiful touseled style that frames your face… oh, so perfectly.
“Hi.” You sling your purse over your shoulder. “You look nice.”
Bucky swallows and holds his arm out for you to take. People still do this, right? “You look pretty.”
Your cheeks flush as you loop your arm through his and follow him down into the elevator. “So… I can drive, if you want me to.”
“I got a ride,” he explains, smiling almost bashfully as the heavy metal doors slide back to reveal the glossy black Mercedes. The driver sits patiently in the driver’s seat, plotting out the route to the movie theatre, and Bucky holds the door for you to slip into the backseat. You take note of the thick glass divider between the backseat and the driver. “We can talk privately,” Bucky assures you.
“Oh.” You gaze around the luxurious interior of the car. “This is probably the fanciest car I’ve ever been in. Do you get to use this all the time?”
“Only on missions.” Bucky chews on his lower lip. “It comes in handy.”
The drive to the theatre takes a good twenty minutes, and when you finally walk through the tall glass doors, it’s a relief. Bucky offers you his arm again, and you gaze up at the movie selection together. Since everything had gone to hell with Thanos, a lot of classics are being replayed. The only movies that have come out recently are a cheesy slasher film and a buddy comedy. Neither of you do those, so you settle for a running of The Prisoner of Azkaban and fill your arms with popcorn and candy.
Following Bucky’s direction, you sneak to the very back row, where it’s deserted and nobody will see you. You go through half the popcorn during the credits, and Bucky mocks a pout when you tuck the Sour Patch Kids into your purse for safekeeping until you’re halfway through the movie.
Bucky almost tunes out when you tentatively rest your head on his shoulder. He can smell your shampoo… raspberry and something else sweet… vanilla, maybe. Your arm loops back through his, and he has to fight the urge to pull you right into his lap. He’d done that before, when he was twenty-two and he dragged Penny Williams into his lap in the back of an empty cinema and made her grind on him until she was shaking… but he can’t do that now. You’d probably slap him if he did.
When the lights in the theatre come on, you wait for several people in the front rows to leave before lifting your head from his shoulder.
“How was that?” you ask. “Good movie?”
Bucky smiles. “Might be a good idea to see the others. Some bits got a little jumbled.”
You grin, cheeks dimpling. “Maybe we can make a thing out of it. One movie a week?”
Oh, Jesus, he’s fallen so hard… “I’d like that very much,” he replies.
He takes your hand in his and stands, leading you down the steps and out into the main hall. It’s late, and the only moviegoers are a couple groups of teenagers. “Do you want to do anything else?” he asks tentatively? “Another movie?”
You giggle. “I can’t do another movie, but if you… if you want, we can hang out at my place for a bit?”
There’s a look in your eye that he can’t exactly read. Then again, being eighty years out of practice isn’t helping. “Sure,” he says, pulling his phone from his pocket to send their driver a message.
You’re picked up in the same spot, and Bucky doesn’t let go of your hand the entire ride back to the apartment. He follows you into the elevator, and the tension skyrockets. Other than the basics, he has no idea what to do. He used to be good, used to drive girls wild with his tongue and fingers and eventually his cock, but… you’re not just a summer fling. You mean more to him than any girl he’d ever known.
The moment you’ve closed and locked the door, neither of you seem to be able to hold back. Bucky meets you halfway, cupping your face as your lips meet in a wet, fiery kiss. His heart takes off, beating hard and fast as you press yourself up against him. Your hands fumble with the zipper of his jacket, and Bucky takes over, stripping it off and dropping it to the floor. He backs you further into the room, toeing off his boots as you kick your slippers to the side.
Clothes fly everywhere, and Bucky only stops when you’re down to your matching panties and bralette and he’s in a pair of boxers that aren’t doing much to hide his erection. Where this bravery came from, he has no idea. Your fingers wander down the plates and lines of his left arm, over the line between metal and flesh, and he brings the palm up to smooth over your hair.
“Does it hurt?” You ask.
He shakes his head. “No. It doesn’t hurt.”
“Good.” You step in and press a kiss just over his heart, and Bucky almost cries at the gentleness.
“Where’s your room?” he asks instead, hands skimming low to hold your hips.
“Hall,” you reply, “second door on the right.”
Bucky kisses you again and lifts you easily off the floor. He crosses to the appropriate door in just a few determined strides, and once inside he lays you out on the mattress, kissing down your neck and pulling the front clasp of your bralette open.
“Jesus,” he breathes, and then he’s leaning down and sucking a nipple into his mouth. Your legs spread automatically, opening wide so he can grind himself against your warmth. Your fingers tangle in his hair, pulling the bun free and hooking in the thick, dark locks.
“Bucky,” you sigh, arching up to get closer to his touch. He switches his attentions, sucking gently on your other nipple until the areola is swollen and pink. “I want you so bad.”
“I know.” He holds himself up, keeping his hips wedged firmly between your thighs. He knows he doesn’t need the birth control, but it might give you comfort to know that he’s thought ahead and brought protection. “I got somethin’ in my jeans, lemme go—”
“I’m on the pill,” you interrupt him, dragging him back down for a kiss. “I’m on the pill, baby, it’s okay.”
Your hand pushes at the waistband of his boxers, and Bucky can’t shed them fast enough. Metal fingers curl into your flimsy underwear, shredding the fabric and tossing it away. You’re bare, pink and wet and exposed, all for him. He strokes himself firmly, gripping the base so he can line up with your entrance, and you gasp, mouth open against his when he pushes in, sliding to the hilt.
God, he’s forgotten what women feel like inside… all hot and wet, snug around his cock in a way that makes his toes curl. He feels your hands slide down his back, nails pressing in softly, and he starts to move with your moan still trailing off. It’s clumsy at first, his movements driven out of pleasure and passion than actual practice, but he settles into it, metal fingers curled into the sheets beside your head.
“Oh… yes…” you encourage him stroke-by-stroke, hands firm on the small of his back as he grinds deep. “Right there, Bucky… oh, shit…”
He picks up the pace, and your head tips back, mouth stretching into an exhilarated smile. Bucky can’t take his eyes off it, and it’s only when you suck in a ragged breath and bring your hands back up to hook in his hair that he puts his mouth to work. He finds a nipple again and latches on, enjoying the sound of your high-pitched whimpers.
“Oh, baby,” you arch up, trying to rock your hips in time with his, and Bucky presses in deeper, giving you a sharp twist that means ‘stay still.’ When he gives in to his lust and tries to work a little harder, you let out an audible wince. He stops.
“Did I hurt you?” he asks concernedly.
You nod shortly. “You’re… really strong.”
“Sorry.” He kisses you again. “I don’t wanna hurt you.”
You giggle, and the motion of it makes him groan with satisfaction. “Maybe I should be on top.”
Oh, hell yes. Bucky flips, keeping your bodies together as he moves expertly onto his back. You brace your hands on his chest and toss your hair over one shoulder. Bucky braces his feet on the mattress, cupping your waist in his hands as you start your own rhythm. He settles back against the bed, eyes wide as he watches you move, taking your own pleasure just the way you like it.
“You look so beautiful,” he pants, “so goddamn beautiful, doll…”
He holds his breath when you take his flesh hand and guide it between your legs. He knows how to find your clit easily enough, and he matches your loud moan of pleasure with his own when he feels your pussy squeeze around him. He rubs his thumb in quick little circles and fights the urge to take control again.
“You feel so good,” you moan, “I’m gonna cum so hard…”
Bucky’s eyes almost roll back in his head when he feels you start to pulse. “Do it,” he whispers, “don’t hold back for me, baby, lemme feel it.”
He works you to the edge, and when you cum it’s with a breathless cry as you sink down on his cock and stay there. He can feel you, growing somehow wetter and warmer as your entire body flushes, and he can’t bring himself to stop touching you, only pulling his hand away when you slump forward, batting his hand away from between your legs with a breathless giggle.
“Sensitive,” you gasp out, leaning down to kiss him. Bucky sweeps your hair up into his metal hand, keeping it away from your face.
“I loved that,” he replies, pushing his hips up to close the gap where he’s not fully inside you. “Dunno how much longer I can…”
You kiss him again, this time sweeping your tongue over his lower lip. “It’s okay… I wanna feel it.”
He lets you pin his hands on either side of his head, fingers locked together. Your hips start to roll, and Bucky’s breath grows tighter as you work him towards his own climax. He’s not afraid of being loud—he never was a quiet lover, anyway. He lets you take over, reveling in the smack of your skin on his and the wet slide of your pussy and the way your tits press against his chest.
He’s almost at the edge when he hits the pause button, pulling back from your kisses and gasping out a hoarse “wait.”
You stop, raising yourself up to look down at him. “Did I do something wrong?”
“No.” He shakes his head, swallows. This is so embarrassing. “I’ve just never… I’ve always pulled out.”
Your eyes go wide when you take in his meaning. “Oh… do you want to?”
He shakes his head and squeezes your hands. “No. I just… you—”
Thankfully, you silence him with a kiss before he can start rambling. “Bucky, it’s okay,” you whisper, “just lemme make you feel good.”
He groans when you swirl your hips, falling back into your steady slide-n-grind motion. He’s already close, and it doesn’t take very long for him to reach the edge of his orgasm.
Oh, shit, this is intense.
“God—” he rips his hands from yours and hugs you close, burying his face in your chest as he cums harder than he can remember. You wrap one arm around the back of his head, moaning encouragement into the air as he empties into you.
It’s over as quickly as it started, but Bucky’s got a knot in his throat that won't go away, and before he knows it his eyes are stinging with tears.
Fuck, no, he’s not crying…
“Hey.” You cup his face, staring into his face. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
He shakes his head eyes squeezed tight. “Just… intense.”
You press closer, kissing his cheeks and running your fingers through his hair. He calms himself quickly, breathing hard against your soft, sweet skin, and then raises his head to look at you.
“Don’t apologize.” You stop the words in his throat and kiss him gently. “It’s okay…”
“I don’t—” Bucky fights the urge to lower his head in shame, “I don’t cry after—”
You interrupt him with a sweep of your thumb over his lower lip. “It’s okay, Bucky. Let’s shower? You can stay here tonight, we can talk.”
You step into your small shower cubicle, laughing over the cramped space, and by the time you emerge in a cloud of steam, Bucky’s in a state of bliss, and he crawls beneath the sheets with a tired sigh. You’ve gone to the kitchen to grab something to drink, and when you come back, Bucky notices the unopened bag of Sour Patches tucked under your arm.
“We never got to these,” you say, crawling up to lie next to him and tearing the bag open. “Have you ever had ‘em?”
Bucky reaches into the bag and pulls out a red one. “First time for everything.” He pops it into his mouth, biting down through the soft candy. The sour hits him first, and he grimaces as it gives way to the sweetness. You laugh at the expression on his face and bury your face in the pillow.
“What?” He reaches into the bag for another. “That wasn’t funny, what the hell is in those?”
“Lots of stuff that isn’t good for you,” you reply, still giggling. “God, if sour Altoids still existed, I’d love to see your face then.”
“Sour Altoids?”
“Believe me, they were not to be fucked with. Especially the tangerine ones.” You nibble the head off one piece of candy and snuggle up next to him. “Hey.”
Bucky turns his head to look at you. “Hmm?”
“I’m glad we did this.” You run your hand up over his chest. “Meeting you was the best thing to happen to me in a long time.”
His heart almost explodes. “You mean that?”
“Yeah.” You suck the sour coating off a green candy. “I went through a really tough breakup after… what happened with Thanos. My ex was one of the people who… well, when he came back, he was upset that I’d moved on and just left me. Then you moved in next door and you’re… well, you.” Your cheeks flush. “Never thought I’d be in bed with the guy I learned about in history classes.”
Bucky can’t help but blush as well. “I’m too old for you.”
“Shut up.” You kiss him, deep and wet and dirty. “You’re perfect to me.”

Requested Little Mix Engagement Inspired Outfits
Leigh
PRETTYLITTLETHING WHITE SCUBA HIGH NECK TIE WAIST JUMPSUIT: ÂŁ21. A engagement party can be a tricky affair, You want to look as good as possible but you don`t want to go over the top and outshine the bride. So we have put together a few outfits that will hopefully maybe inspire you or help you make that final decision. For each girl I went with a different look and alternative - Not everyone wants to go in a dress and you also have to think about the many factors such as comfort, Price and weather. So with Leigh I decided to go for a jumpsuit and I posted below the jumpsuit I was inspired by when she wore a pink sequin blush jumpsuit for a appearance many years ago. We wanted to go down that same route but keep the embellishment to a minimum otherwise it would`ve looked like we would be off to a Christmas party afterwards. Unfortunately, Not many embellished jumpsuits are available at the moment or none that suited the event so we decided to go for a white jumpsuit instead and we went with this one from PrettyLittleThing. I know for a fact this is a popular item as it has been on PLT`s website for ages and they keep restocking due to popular demand. The jumpsuit is very flattering...The long white fitted flare legs gives people the illusion of longer legs, the top half features a ruched effect where it synches in topped off by a tie up, I love this jumpsuit it is so modern, classy and trendy. The side boob might not be to everyone's taste but with a few pins and boob tape you`ll be in good hands. I went with the idea there may be kids at this engagement party so you would want to keep it demure and mature and not upstage the bride, The colour against the sun would be out of this world - You would radiate. This jumpsuit comes in many other colours and patterns such as floral, Green, Red, Black and Orange.
Lulu`s KATHERINE ROSE GOLD METALLIC RHINESTONE MULES: $99. These arent the original shoes as featured above, the shoes became out of stock over night. But I originally went with rose gold embellished perspex mules in case you wanted to wear something different and because the jumpsuit is white and to add a bit of flair and colour to the outfit you could do that with the accessories and the shoes. I went back to find some more rose gold mules and no where had them in stock, The only place was Lulu`s and yes I am aware of the price.
ASOS DESIGN headband with graduating pearls in gold tone: £12. I added this in case you wanted to go extra. Pearl`s in hair accessories has become a big trend lately as you will see later. I thought this was such a cute, quirky accessory.
River Island Rose gold boxy mini cross body bag: £18. I did want a simple rose gold clutch that wasn`t too out there or large but yet again hardly no one had one. So we went with this one from River Island instead which I think will do the job nicely.
PrettyLittleThing ROSE GOLD 80MM LARGE HOOP EARRINGS: £2. Lastly, Just because Leigh wears hoops a lot we had to add them like I do on every post. For those eagle eyed viewers you will notice this is the same pair of earrings I featured in my last inspired. I don`t wear earrings myself but £2 for a pair of good sustainable earrings? What more could you ask for. We`re also continuing on with adding colour with these earrings. Of course you could always do it the other way round by wearing a colourful outfit and then downplaying it with mutual shoes and accessories. Don`t forget it`s always a good idea to experiment and mix and match.
Jade
ASOS Dusty Daze jacquard blazer co-ord: ÂŁ75. Secretly hoping this suit I chose for Jade will steal all of your hearts, How beautiful is this? The print of this, the colour and the cuteness is enough to make me buy it. I simply went for this cause I imagined right away what this would look like against the backdrop of the sun, You will glow. I chose a suit because Jade is fan of a suit very often and we`re also mixing it up and giving you options. The trousers are cropped giving you slimmer ankles, The suit is fitted to make you feel comfortable and confident. I know the price is a little pricey but imagine what this would look like in photos and you would definitely receive a lot of compliments. If you don`t like this suit then I have chosen many other style of suits and colours for you that would work well against the sun and at a engagement party such as orange, Neon Orange, Green, Darker Orange, Purple, Blue.
ASOS Dusty Daze straight leg jacquard trousers co-ord: £55. I always think of a suit as a alternative for someone such as a tomboy who doesn`t like wearing dresses or skirts. Wearing a suit you can feel just as sexy and confident and not to mention feel like a boss too.....Even though you`re not in an office.
River Island White cross back cami top: £16. For the top we have to keep it simple as the suit is doing the talking here, Put in a neon top and it`s too busy so try and keep the colours mutual to break it up.
River Island Gold embellished shoulder bag: £30. I didn`t want to go for a pink clutch as it would clutch against the suit, So I didn`t really have much to go on and my colour coordination is terrible. So we went with this bag from River Island which is actually similar to a bag Jade has from Topshop.
H&M Long Earrings: $9.99. Another extra if you didn`t want to feel bare, We went with these hammered effect earrings from H&M. These have exploded onto the scene lately especially the gold coloured ones. We also managed to find another pair in another style here.
ASOS DesignB London rose gold hairband: £6. As usaul as I was searching for outfits the inspiration flowed and ideas was coming at me from every angle. So to go with the confident, empowering, boss look we have going on we thought we would add this rose gold hairband. Slick your hair back into a low ponytail before adding this gem.
PrettyLittleThing CLOVER BLACK METALLIC STRAP HEELED SANDALS: ÂŁ18
Jesy
River Island Lime cigarette trousers: £36. I know this won`t be too everyone's taste but neon/fluro colours have also exploded onto the scene lately and the girls have been seen wearing it too and to be honest with you I got stuck with what to put for Jesy, You can`t really go to a engagement party dressed in all black now can you? Talk about a party spoiler. But we eventually got there and we came up with this. Can you guess where I got my inspiration from? Jesy rocked up to Leigh`s swimwear launch in a fluro number and she rocked it well, Very well. So we thought we would hop on that bandwagon and hey gusto here we are. I`d just like to point out that there is a difference between neons and limes and fluros..One is either brighter and the other is either dark, Found that out yesterday. Jesy wore neon green designer tailored trousers which complimented her legs so well, So we picked up these trousers from River Island which comes in a co-ord.
River Island Bright yellow boyfriend blazer: £65. Don`t be fooled when it says bright yellow it`s the same colour as the trousers. This structured blazer would give your body definition and that confident/sexy feeling. This jacket is not only for a engagement party but it`s so versatile too, You can step out in black jeans, black boots and a black top whilst going out for dinner or you can wear it casually with jeans, trainers and a white cami. Great investment this jacket.
PRETTYLITTLETHING WHITE UNDERWIRED CAGE DETAIL LACE BODY: £19. Because the co-ord does the talking and is so bright it could blind you we wanted to break up the colour in the middle with something white and we went with a bodysuit. Lace bodysuits have popped up onto the scene for the last year or so now and are everywhere. You can wear them for anything. I think the reason these have become so popular is because they are no longer seen as a lingerie product and more of a product you can wear everyday now. However if you don`t like the lace effect then we have picked up another bodysuit from MissGuided which is much more simpler here
Boohoo Patent Court Shoes: £19. Again the suit does the talking and you don`t want anything else clashing with it, So we kept it simple with the shoes and went with these nude patent ones from Boohoo.
PRETTYLITTLETHING SILVER 100MM HOOP EARRINGS: £2 Yes, These earrings again. But this time we went with a pair of silver earrings just because we think these would look great against the white.
ASOS DESIGN tassel clutch bag: ÂŁ12
Perrie
ASOS DESIGN Petite 3D embellished crop top midi dress: £38. I`ve wanted to use this dress for so long in one of my inspireds I love it so much. I can see how it would be more of a race day/cocktail party in your garden/wedding dress but I think it could also pass as a engagement party dress as well. The colour on this is amazing, it blows my mind. I think it`s so cute because of the length and the way it is structured with the gems on the neck. You can get down to a tune or two with the skirt not being so fitted and tight, You can let go and be free and feel the wind in your hair as you dance around to your favourite songs. This dress also comes in other colours such as taupe and purple
ASOS DesignB London faux pearl detail large hair clip 2 pack: £8. These were what I was talking about earlier. Hair clips/slides have POPPED up massively onto the scene, They are everywhere! You can get them small, big, medium in whatever styles and colours they are everywhere, you cannot miss them. So we hopped on board that train and included these pearl hair clips. I did notice that pearl hair accessories are big this summer so we have a range of different styles and colours to choose from in a moment. But this would go perfect against your dress and you would look a million dollars. The other suggestions we got were another set of pearl slides, Rectangle, Hair slides.
PrettyLittleThing CLOVER SILVER METALLIC STRAP HEELED SANDALS: £18. As i`ve said before the dress does the talking and you don`t want everything else to be busy, So we kept it busy with a pair of silver heels from PrettyLittleThing.
New Look Off White Faux Pearl Beaded Bag: £20. I originally wanted to go with a pearl clutch, But I soon found myself surrounded by these beauties. These have become so popular this summer, They are bang on trend. They are cute, quirky, chic and classic little bag. This bag is so unique and different and would make you stand out. They do come in other colours but we thought white would look great against the dress. We did have trouble finding one as most are sold out everywhere but we managed to there in the end with this one from New Look. However, We also managed to find one from here

Beastly Kingdom - Chapter 2 - It’s a Date
Tumblr media
Stepping through, Nate was surrounded by raiders. All of them watched him like jackals waiting to pounce. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled with an immediate sense of danger, the only thing holding them back from tearing him apart stood before him, climbing out of her massive power armor.
“Gage, take this back to Fizztop, will ya?”
Gage eyed the outsider suspiciously. “Are you sure boss?”
“Did I stutter?” She leaned in a bit closer to him. “Besides…you’re the only one I trust not to scratch the paint!” As she strode towards the exit, she glanced back at Nate. This was the first chance he really had to take a good look at the ghoul. She still had some of her blond hair left, but most has either been lost to ghoulification or shaved off. What was left lay in a long strip down the center of her head, The ends dyed blood red. She wore a bright red and white Nuka-World jumpsuit with “Maintenance” embroidered in black on the chest. “You coming? You might not want to stray too far… These guys tend to misbehave when someone isn’t watching them too closely.”
Emerging into a wide-open courtyard, a strange wave of nostalgia passed over Nate. He had always wanted to bring Shaun here someday, back before the war tore his carefully crafted future away. Even after all these centuries, the sight of the once grand of the theme park remained inspiring. Blinking lights, cartoonish colors and happy painted smiles were plastered everywhere, decaying and perverted by years of neglect and vandalism. Slaves scuttled back and forth, dressed in rags and wearing heavy metal collars, the explosives strapped to their necks were blinking dangerously.
A woman with a metal mask made of metal straps skipped up to the Nate’s side.
“He sure is a pretty one, isn’t he?” She pinched Nate’s cheek, a creepily affectionate gesture from a stranger. Her sweet thick southern accent a perplexing and seemingly out of place in this den of killers.
“Dixie, hun, can you go and make sure Cappy’s Corner is cleared out. I need a nice quiet place to talk to our guest.”
“Sure thing.” She swung an arm around Nate’s neck, causing him to defensively stiffen. Dixie leaned in close and half whispered into his ear. “The Boss must be sweet on you, getting the star treatment and all… don’t go raising no cane while I’m off. You won’t live long enough to regret it.” Through his vault suit, he felt the tip of sharp weapon press lightly against his ribs to drive her point home. She whistled cheerfully as she skipped off.
“She’s such a peach.” Liz smirked, her sinewy lips drawing dryly against each other.
“I’m sure…” Nate was less than enthralled with the woman. He watched the shuttered vendor stalls and defunct parlor games, catching movement here and there out of the corner of his eye.
Liz noticed his diverted attention. “Yeah, don’t think for a moment you aren’t being watched.”
“Is that why you haven’t taken away my other side arm?” He retorted.
Liz nodded. “And your pair of boot knives either. I’m more concerned about that shiny Pip-boy on your wrist. Luckily, I’ve set up an interference shield around the whole park. You aren’t calling for back-up any time soon, General.”
Nate tried to mask his surprise at this new information by being suitably impressed by her tactical forethought. He wasn’t expecting to be cut off so completely from any form of rescue. He started recalculating as they walked.
Just then, something foul wafted through the air, wrinkling Nate’s nose. It reminded Nate of the stink from the zoo during the hot hazy summer days of his youth. They walk passed a bright red arch, the plywood reinforced façade adorned with wildly colored animals spray-painted haphazardly. Several similarly bizarrely dressed raiders lounged out front, barking and baying at him. They sported eye-searing neon clothes, trussed up with helmets and amour crafted to resemble various animals. The whole effect reminded Nate of the animals found on a toddler’s birthday cake.
The Overboss inclined her head slightly towards Nate, quietly instructing him that too much direct eye contact would be seen as a challenge to a Pack member. Nate took the hint, and tried to look straight ahead until they reached the aforementioned Cappy’s Café.
Dixie stood outside, leisurely leaning against one of the red tiled columns holding up the crumbling entrance, drinking a Nuka-Cola Orange.
“Everyone’s skedaddled, Boss.”
“Make sure there are no one interrupts us, hun.” Liz instructed.
Dixie nodded as the continued to drain her soda. Liz held the door open for Nate to head inside. Sure as Dixie said, the small cafĂŠ-turned-bar was empty. Liz sat, straddling the only chair at her chosen table, forcing Nate to scramble to find one of his own. He returned to see her studying him coolly over a blue glowing bottle Nuka-Quantum. A plain Nuka-Cola was on the table opposite her.
Slowly she put the bottle down as he sat. “So… prove to me that you are really the Nate I knew from all those years ago, and not some clever fake.”
“Sit and deliver, eh?” Nate straightened his shoulders. “Your full name is Elizabeth Rosa. You lived across the street from Nora and I. Your husband died and left you alone with your son, Louis. I helped you figure out the tricky timing on that old cherry red Corvega convertible you were restoring with him.” He narrowed his eyes a bit. “Shame you killed Codsworth. I remember you really liking the lemonade he used to serve at the summer block parties.”
Liz sat back and huffed. “You shouldn’t get so attached to things. Lemons haven’t existed for centuries now. But here you are… playing army-men again. But it is you.” Her eternally bloodshot green eyes locked onto his. “How?”
Nate shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He hadn’t prepared for this kind of interrogation. “Surely you’ve heard of the kind of stuff Vault-Tek pulled, right?” Liz nodded. Vaut-Tek’s ‘scientific’ fuckery with their resident’s lives was well known. “Well, Vault 111 was no different… only we were treated to a deep freeze treatment. They kept us on ice, cryogenically frozen, like a freezer full of frozen TV-diners.”
“So, where is the rest of the old neighborhood popsicles?”
“Dead.” Nate said flatly. “There was a malfunction. I was the only one who ever walked out of there.” Nate steeled his mind as it raced across the painful memories of waking up from cryo-sleep. She didn’t need to know there had been one other person to make it to the outside world… that his infant son Shaun had been ripped from his dead wife’s arms by Institute agents as he watched helplessly trapped in a pod. Liz also didn’t need to know that Shaun had grown up to become the leader of the same morally corrupt organization, which he had taken down a year before.
Liz read the discomfort on his face and softened a bit at the thought of Nora and Shaun. She had known them, after all. “I’m sorry to hear that… for what it is worth. War doesn’t give two shits about family.” Liz hid a distant look by downing the rest of her soda. She thumped the empty bottle down on the table.
“Now… down to brass tacks, shall we?” She focused on the man before her. “What exactly are you proposing? Why exactly would I help the Minute Men, of all people, take on the Brotherhood of Steel?”
“Because they threaten Nuka-World the same way they threaten the rest of the Commonwealth. There is a ton of pre-war tech here, whispers of unique military robots and weapon systems. Some of the traders talk of the buildings here being powered by a functional power plant. News like that makes the rounds. From the little bit I have seen so far, it looks like there might even be more.” Nate leaned his elbows on the table. “And we all know how the Brotherhood feels about those they deem degenerates. They wouldn’t think twice about stomping out a nest of raiders scum and their zombie leader.”
Liz narrowed her eyes. She lowered her voice. “I wouldn’t say the z-word around here… it makes Dixie… extra stabby.” Nate had a feeling it wasn’t Dixie she was talking about.
Liz sat back. “We can handle ourselves just fine if they bring the fight to us. What makes you think we need you?”
Nate continued. “Two reasons. First, I think you underestimate the breadth of firepower the Brotherhood has. With the Institute destroyed, they are setting their sights on the rest of the Commonwealth. It’s not just zealots in power armor wielding Gatling lasers you’ll have to worry about. Remember those news leaks before the bombs, about the government developing a giant robot?”
Liz furrowed her pocked brow, digging through her buried memories. “The one that was supposed to be in the liberation of Anchorage? There wasn’t any evidence of it’s existence, I thought.”
“I infiltrated the Brotherhood for a while… they have it. Transported the thing in pieces from Washington. Nothing is going in the Commonwealth is going to be able to stop it once it is fully operational.”
The Overboss sat silently, looking unconvinced. Inoperable prewar abandoned robots were too farfetched of a problem for her to worry about.
“Secondly, you’ve tipped your hand trying to get a foothold in the Commonwealth. Threatening farms. Trying to set up outposts. My bet is you don’t have enough food to feed your growing ‘family’ here.” Nate sat back and crossed his arms. “How has that been going for you?”
That rankled her, Nate could tell from the way she ground her teeth. He was happy he remember her tell from when they used to play cards at the Able’s place, back when she had skin. He knew exactly how well her attempts as expansion were going… the Minutemen beating them back at every turn, defending the settlers they tried to put the squeeze on and caravan routes they tried to ambush.
“But… if we came to some kind of agreement. One where your raiders stays put, inside the bounds of Nuka-World, and help push the Brotherhood out of the Commonwealth.”
“That’s your pitch? We get nothing out of that deal. No dice.” She idly played with a bottle cap with her fingers.
“Let me finish. Help us with the Brotherhood, stay in Nuka-World… and I can make sure your little slice of paradise is supplied with plenty of food. Enough that you won’t ever need to stick your nose out of your rosy red gates.”
“And you think we are just going to sit here with our thumbs up our asses, eating your food and getting fat?”
“No, but I can open up avenues to you that you would never be able to access before… things like chem trade routes that can have you rolling in caps and, with the Gunners gutted, enough blood to keep the throngs happy. You already have a small trade system in place. With the right help you can build upon it!”
Liz laughed, her hoarse voice echoing off the empty café walls. “You gotta be fucking crazy, thinking you can get these guys to go legit.” She banged her fist on the table.
Nate coolly doubled down. “I’m not. You are. You are if you want this little experiment here to survive. I’ve learned a thing or two about keeping a growing population afloat… what you have here, all these people, this isn’t sustainable. You know it’s not. That’s why you have been trying to grow beyond your borders.”
An uncomfortable silence passed between them as they locked gazes across the table. A table that seemed excessively small at that moment.
The standoff broke as the door creaked open. The Overboss had to stop herself from rolling her eyes as she saw who it was.
“Fuck off, Gage. Didn’t you get the memo? I’m busy.” Liz growled, not taking her eyes off Nate.
“I know Boss. I just wanted to let you know Damion’s gang is back.” Liz turned her head to half-face him. “They bagged her.”

Stuff that will need to happen:
Mani and Pedi for Sep 11 party $100
Blow out? $60
New stockings $50
Moms bday gift $60
Halloween Costumes and Hair $500
I don't NEED any of things on my list :( but damn do I want bad. Its like all sense of decency is going out the window. I wish dad would get me everything on this list. If he just got me the coach stuff and swimsuit, I would be over the moon.
I can make do with getting some of these things cheap. I took off the $19 cow hair band in my cart and replaced it with $1.50 from Shein. I also found a coke spoon necklace on Shein for $1.50 but I still want the Lana knock off one :( even though I have the real one! LOL I could sell it though :)
Im gonna sound crazy and start emphasizing why I want all this stuff, ready?
Coach Paint Dab Floral Print Mini Skinny ID Case $85- This is gonna be my spring and summer wallet (white and paint dabs are glittery and just gorgeous, a creative way to make a pattern coach, amazing job)
Coach Swinger 20 Quilted Leather Mini Bag $295 - This a trendy little baguette bag and feels like buttery soft quilted leather. It would need TLC like crazy, but once I put this on my arm, I didn't want to take it off. Stunning little thing.
Coach Chrissy Booties $225- Worth every penny, they feel comfortable, sleek, trendy, and just the perfect amount of heel height and pointed toe (not too pointy or round) They also have the lug sole look at the bottom but it's not obnoxious.
Lana Del Ray Coke Necklace Replica $52 - I didn't think replicas existed of this necklace but its on Esty! I think its smaller than the original and not as heavy. I could actually wear this one.
New Hair $$$$- This is a must sadly, my old hair just didn't hold up well and it SUCKS. I need to start researching other brands. Of course I can for-go my fake hair entirely but I love myself with long hair harder.
Botox $300 something- Ok, I got some before BVI and I was soooo happy with the results. I think it would be worth it before Halloween, Vegas, and possibly Sep 11th party ? Its the little things right?
Sommerfield Swim Black Bikini $70 or $141 for two - The best most flattering bikinis out there that don't break the bank. I asked Joel his favorite swimsuit on me and its the only black one I have. Sale is also ongoing right now and now its a matter of deciding which style or styles
Halloween Costumes $89- I've narrowed it down to 2 costumes and I can wear them both to various parties and things. I think I am gonna be a cow this year but the glow in the dark outfit is sooo amazing. I can for sure wear that one to raves and things. I can envision both costumes on me (stockings or boots, pigtails, bell around my neck, amazing glitterly makeup)
Silver Necklace (same one lana has) $20- I literally stumbled across this today on Poshmark randomly and Leah told me I would look good in silver jewelry. I don't have one piece of silver that i wear , this could be a start.
ASU Stuff $22-$30- I can only find cute stuff on posh, I havent looked at the ASU shop actually. I could for go this too and just show up looking cute in neutral colors for the games, I do like that grey sweater tho and the tube top is perfect for HOT nights.
Facial $150- Its been 6 months and I know my face would drink it in, I love facials, Gotta protect the sacred thing.
Tickets for Thundercat, Men I trust, and maybe JMSN $70 x 3- JMSN is most likely out because we will be coming back from Vegas but lets see how I feel. The other shows yes yes. I HAVE TO
New Duvet $60-NEED, my current duvet is gross and dirty and way too hot
Temporary Tattoos from Dollskill $12 -I decided I want tiny tattoos everywhere.
It seems like Botox, hair, facial, boots, duvet, and Halloween stuff are most important right now. Cool about 1200 deep or more

How to Choose the Best Dress for Your Occasion
New Post has been published on https://pingbacklinks.com/how-to-choose-the-best-dress-for-your-occasion/
How to Choose the Best Dress for Your Occasion
How to Choose the Best Dress for Your Occasion
One of the great timeless outfits is the midi dress. One great thing about the midi dress is that you can style one piece differently and still bring out a great look. A midi dress is a dress whose length ends around the middle of your lower leg. It is versatile, and therefore you can wear it in so many ways. You, therefore, can use one single dress in multiple ways. However, there is no reason why you should choose to own one.
There are a million styles and designs of a midi dress, and they can become a very significant collection in your wardrobe. However, with a few pieces, you can have countless ways of wearing them and pulling a great look all the time. Here are some different ways you can wear one single midi dress and make you come out differently every time.
Look for a Versatile Looking Dress
.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you have a midi dress that looks versatile. Although some midi dresses out there may look like they were designed for a specific occasion, you can still get others that are versatile. For instance, you know that long-sleeved dresses are primarily for cold seasons. But while a short-sleeved one is mainly for summer, you can combine it with a jacket to wear even in cold times. That means your short-sleeved midi dress can be your to-go-to dress throughout the year.
    Floral Midi Dress
Floral dresses are essential pieces in your wardrobe because they are timeless, reliable, and chic. You can appear everywhere from the office to weddings and more. A floral midi dress with a belted waist is an option that can give you a sophisticated look. You can also opt to wear your floral midi dress with a combination of mules in warmer months and use sock boots in winter. A tonal tote and blazer will be the top-notch wear and a perfect choice in all seasons. When it comes to weekend wear, the best choice will be to wear the floral dress to either dress up or down with ease.
Midi Dress Formal – best prom dress ever
There is a wide selection of midi dress formal depending on what you want. Also, you can transform your sleeveless midi dress to a formal dress with an addition of a jacket and official leather shoes. Of course, how you use other accessories will determine whether you are in formal wear or casual wear, but a midi dress can be either.
  White Midi Dress
Women white midi dresses are perfect for many occasions, including weddings, cocktail parties and or night out. You can also use them for your weekend wear. All you need is to decide whether you want to make it casual wear or formal, depending on the occasion.
With your midi dresses, you can expect compliments to come from all corners as a midi dress is appealing for everyone. While the hemline may not hit the same place depending on your height and the design, you can feel comfortable with a midi dress depending on the atmosphere of where you are. But one thing is clear: a midi dress is a dress for all occasions, and you can design yours in a way that makes you feel comfortable.

PUNK!STAN + NERD!BILL AU
i’m working on shit i swear, this is just for the wait.
HERE WE GO
Stan, Richie, Mike, and Bev are the punks.
Eddie, Stan, and Ben are the “nerds”
Stan is very intimidating with his leather jacket and his boots, but he’s a fucking softie.
Bill knows this.
They got paired for an assignment in history freshman year. Stan was pissed he didn’t get Mike (because my son is a genius!) but when he saw how cute Bill was he dropped it.
Bill was expecting to do the whole thing himself, but Stan was very helpful and did his part.
Bill was lowkey embarrassed about his stutter because HE was used to it and so were his friends, but he was scared Stan was gonna make fun of him for it
He didn’t (much to Bill’s surprise)
Richie kept teasing Stan because of how much he talked about Bill.
But Stan could do the same thing with him and Eddie
Bev is a lesbian!
Mike has a little crush on Ben
After the project was over, Stan still sat next to Bill.
And talked to him
And hung out with him.
They’re like real friends
That occasionally flirt
and are constantly touching each other
but whatever, moving on
BECAUSE they hung out so much that meant that their crews hung out too
No one was complaining, everyone had a crush on everyone (except for Bev, of course. she was crushing on the head cheerleader)
This goes on until the summer before junior year (YOU ARE SIXTEEN GOING ON SEVENTEEN, BABY ITS TIME TO THINK -Bill, to which Stan replies: You’re a Fucking Dork, Denbrough)
They’re hanging out at the Denbrough household, watching a movie n stuff
There are no parents because they have jobs  (Not everyone can have a summer break, Billiam -Stan)
Now, contrary to popular belief, Bill kisses Stan first.
stan is shook
But we all know Derry is a piece of shit town, so as much as they want to be open about their relationship (as much as Stan wants to show Bill off) they can’t
Bill’s parents are convinced Stan replaced Eddie as Bill’s best friend
“What do they think we’re doing in your room all the time?”
“Studying.”
“Seriously?”
Makeout sessions start two (2) weeks after they first kiss
It’s intense
School starts back up again and they barely have any classes together (What the Fuck -Stan)
They see each other in between classes though
THEY MAKE EYE CONTACT AND STAN SMIRKS WHICH MAKES BILL BLUSH AND ITS THE CUTEST THING EVER, OK.
Bill starts getting antsy during class and even Eddie is like “Bro, chill tf out”
Bill doesn’t fucking know why until he sees Stan and immediately calms down
“I’m h-having Stan withdrawls???”
“That’s fucking adorable”
“Sh-Shut up, b-bird boy”
“Hush, Denbrough”
lots of hand holding
and kissing when no one is around
BILL SKIPPED CLASS JUST TO BE AROUND STAN AND MR. STANLEY LOST IT
“Bill, seriously. You don’t have to skip class, we could’ve just waited it’s fine.”
“N-No, it’s b-basically a free p-period anyways. I w-w-wanna be here”
Stan’s whipped™
Bev won’t let him live it down! Stan is whipped!
Mike doesn’t give a shit, he never has, really. As long as stan’s happy.
Richie’s a prick at first, but Stan really is his best friend and he knows he’s really in deep with Bill so he doesn’t say much.
BUT WHEN HE DOES.. BOY.
Ok but there was one day, Bill’s stutter was super bad for some reason. He thought it was getting better but that day was not good.
He doesn’t talk much that day and Stan gets really worried.
When Bill finally tells him what’s going on (in the middle of their makeout session because Stan won’t stop asking if he’s ok) Stan tells him that his stutter is adorable, and that he was sure it was just Bill’s nerves.
BILL GIVES HIM THE SOFTEST HEART EYES EVER before they start making out again.
But then they go and have lunch with everyone and Bill is stuttering so bad over his words. Stan is squeezing his hand underneath the table, but it’s not helping much.
And then Richie goes “Just spit it out, b-b-bill.”
Bev smacks the shit out Richie’s arm
Eddie does the same with his head.
Mike and Ben are fr glaring at him.
Stan’s ready to murder him with the spork he got in the lunchline
Bill stops talking for the day.
Stan doesn’t speak to richie for the rest of the week.
“That was fucked up, Richie.” -Eddie
“What do you want me to do, Eds? Apologize? Bill probably hates me—“
“Don’t call me Eds, and yes! that’s what I’ve been telling you to do for days now!”
Stan crawls through Bill’s window at night so he can hold his boyfriend
Stan won’t tell him that his dad usually screams at him for being a disgrace to the family.
DW, Bill will find out soon enough.
Bill hasn’t spoken much, not even with Stan and he is BEYOND PISSED at Richie.
“I’m really sorry about Richie, Bill.”
“I-It’s not your f-fault, and h-he didn’t mean a-anything by it.”
STAN JUST WANTS TO HEAR HIS BOYFRIEND’S VOICE OK
also, they haven’t actually called each other boyfriends and they’ve been dating for eight months so
“N-No, I know. I just– I just know how he can be.”
“I’m fine, Stan.”
Bill really was fine about that, he was just stressed because of school.
Stan is a few inches taller than Bill (6’0”, while Bill is chilling at 5’10”)
which means Bill is the little spoon :)
Stan absolutely loves having Bill so close to him. It helps him and Bill sleep because it’s so warm and comfortable, and with his arm around him he feels like he can protect Bill from everyone and everything.
And that’s all he wants to do
Richie does apologize to Bill, to which Bill says he really didn’t mind (it was mostly Stan)
Onto The Next
Stan slowly starts wearing brighter colors (i.e the pastels + white)
“You’ve gone soft, Stanny Boy” -Bev
“Shut the fuck up, Beverly”
“I think you look great.” -Mike
“That’s gay!” -Richie
“Beep Beep, Richie!” -Bev, Stan, and Mike.
“I was growing fond of the leather jackets.” -Bill.
“It’s too hot for that, Denbrough.”
Now, it’s pretty clear how overprotective Stan is of Bill, but Mr. Denbrough is just as bad as he is.
Girls flirting with Stan? Issa no from Bill.
BUT HE CAN’T DO ANYTHING IN PUBLIC IT SUCKS
So it just leads to a very heated makeout later.
BOYS flirt with Stan? (yeah, it’s happened) Count Billiam is alive and well.
Seriously! the love bites that boy leaves, whew.
And stan didn’t give a shit whether or not his dad saw them.
“Bill, they’re everywhere. You can stop.”
“I’ll st-stop a-as soon as I-I can say h-he’s my f-fucking boyfriend ou-outloud.”
“Then do it.”
“Stan..”
“Do you care anymore?”
HE DOESNT. HE REALLY DOESNT GIVE A SHIT BECAUSE HE’S SO FUCKING HAPPY WITH STAN.
“N-No”
The biggest smile breaks out on the curly haired jewish boys face oh my GOD
“Great, I don’t either”

“It’s best to do this in the daytime because from what I gathered, this thing doesn’t like sunlight.” You said as Dean was driving up the road to the spot where they would be meeting Hayley.
“Awesome.” Dean said, seeing Hayley, Ben, and a man you didn’t recognize standing by a red car. You got out of the car along with the boys and looked at Hayley.
“You guys got room for three more?” You asked, smiling.
“Wait, you want to come with us?” Hayley sounded surprised.
“Who are these guys?” The stranger asked.
“Who are you?” Dean looked at him.
“Roy, I’m the hunter that she hired. You’re turn.” Roy glared at Dean.
“Rangers from the Park Service.” Dean said. You watched as Sam walked ahead of everyone.
“You’re hiking out in biker boots and jeans?” You frowned as Hayley judged the way Dean looked.
“Well, sweetheart, I don’t do shorts.” You snorted and snickered from behind Dean.
“Yeah right.” You smirked.
“You, shut your face.” Dean glared back at you. Apparently, he didn’t want people to know just how he spent an entire summer wearing shorts because Kansas got too hot.
“You think this is some type of joke? It’s dangerous out there. Her brother might be hurt.” Roy said with a serious face.
“Believe me, I know how dangerous it can be. We just wanna help them find their brother, that's all.” You followed Dean to where Sam was and looked around. This was going to be a long hunt.
“So, Roy, you said you did some hunting?” Roy and Dean were leading the way, looking out for anything suspicious. Nothing had been found for the past few miles and your feet were staring to hurt. You wished you were wearing better footwear for this trip. You would think, being a hunter, you would have grown some tolerance for walking and being on your feet for the most of the day.
“Yeah, more than most.”
“Uh-huh, what kind of furry critters do you hunt?”
“Mostly buck, sometimes bear.” Roy wasn’t even looking at Dean but looking at his surroundings, holding his shotgun as if he would fire at any moment.
“Tell me, uh, Bambi or Yogi ever hunt you back?” Dean snickered as he walked past Roy. Suddenly, Roy grabbed the collar of Dean’s jacket and pulled him away from whatever he was about to step on.
“What are you doing, Roy?” You asked, eyeing Roy. Roy grabbed a stick that he happened to see lying around and poke the bear trap that Dean didn’t see.
“You should watch where you’re stepping, Ranger.” Roy smirked and continued to walk, senses on high alert.
“It’s a bear trap.” Dean nodded and looked at everyone in the group. You giggled and caught up with him. He was so damn adorable and he didn’t even know it.
“Hey, you didn't pack any provisions. You guys are carrying a duffel bag. You're not rangers,” Hayley said, glaring at him. Dean wouldn’t stop so she grabbed his arm and whipped him around. “So who the hell are you?” You stopped with Dean and Hayley, watching Roy, Ben, and Sam go by. You knew Sam would be there if Dean needed his help but since you were there with him, he didn’t worry too much.
“Sam, Y/N, and I are looking for our father. HE might be here but we don’t know for sure. I just figured with you looking for you brother, we might help each other out.” Dean sighed.
“Why didn’t you just tell me that from the start?” Hayley looked at you but looked back to Dean with a sigh.
“I'm telling you now. Besides, this is probably the most honest I’ve been with anyone outside of my family. So, we, okay?” Hayley nodded after a pause and hesitantly continued towards the group. Dean was about to head with them but you stopped him.
“So, you count me as family? Just family?” You asked, wondering where this conversation might lead to. “I remember you telling me all of your secrets when we were kids.” You stared up at him.
“Yeah, I remember. You were a terrible secret keeper.” Dean joked.
“Hey, mind you, I can still tell Sam about the time you got rejected by not one girl, but two. Remember that day?” You smirked. You always loved to tease the man.
“Alright, alright,” Dean chuckled.
“You don’t have to hide yourself from me, Dean. I saw you in shorts, mind you. There’s no going back from that,” You joked with him. He chuckled and nodded but didn’t say a word. “Let’s go back.” You grabbed his hand and pulled him along with you. It felt natural to be with him, like this.
“Okay, this is it, Blackwater Ridge.” Roy said after a few more minutes of hiking.
“What coordinates are we at?”
“35 and minus 111.” Roy said after checking his GPS. Something was wrong. Besides the shuffling around the group was doing, there was no other sounds being made. Come on, this was a forest.
“Hey, you guys hear that?” You whispered to the brothers.
“Yeah, not even crickets.” Sam said quietly. It was dead silent and that wasn’t normal for a forest.
“I’m going to go look around.” Roy said, making up his mind.
“You shouldn’t go off by yourself.” Sam suggested.
“That’s sweet, don’t worry about me.” Roy held up his gun and pushed past Sam and Dean, going off in one direction.
“I’ll go with him,” You looked at the brothers and touched their arms. “Be safe.” They both nodded and you followed the path that Roy took.
“I didn’t need someone going with me.” Roy said once he knew you followed him.
“Yeah but I am. You don’t know what’s out there and you shouldn’t be alone.” You walked with him, looking around, still hearing nothing.
“Darling, I’ve hunted out in these woods before you were even born. I know them like the back of my hand. I know what I’m doing.” Roy sighed. Yeah so does the creature. A few more paces and you came to a clearing. You gasped, seeing a campsite with bloody tents and supplies that were scattered everywhere.
“What the hell?” You carefully stepped closer, hoping that whatever made this mess was gone. “Dean!!!” You called out. Not a minute later, you saw Dean and Sam rushing to find you.
“Oh my God.” Haley said once she saw the campsite. She rushed and set everything down, Ben and Roy doing the same thing. You ran to Dean and Sam, looking worried.
“This is no skinwalker or black dog, I can tell you that now,” You bit your lip, looking past them where you saw tracks as if something dragged bodies through the mud. “Look, see what I mean?” You sighed as Sam and Dean walked over to the tracks.
“Tommy! Tommy!!” Hayley started yelling.
“Sh!” You rushed to her. “Whatever did this could still be out there.” It was silent for a few minutes before everyone heard someone yelling for help.
“Help! Help!” You looked at Dean who began running towards the direction of the voice. Everyone seemed to want to see this and followed. You didn’t have a good feeling about this. Something bad was about to happen.
When you got to the general area from where the voice was heard, it was dead silent as if nothing ever made a sound.
“We should get back.” Sam said. Luckily everyone else agreed and headed back.
“Hey! Our packs are gone!” When you arrived, supplies were flung everywhere, making the campsite look messy but now every single one of the supplies were gone, as if someone, or something must have taken them.
“So much for my GPS and my satellite phone.” Roy sighed.
“What the hell is going on?” Hayley demanded.
“It's smart. It wants to cut us off so we can't call for help.” Sam sighed, raking a hand down his face.
“You mean someone, some nutjob out there, just stole all our gear?” Roy looked around.
“You two,” Sam said, pointing to you and Dean. “With me.” He walked off with you and Dean on his trail.
“Sam, what’s going on?” You bit your lip and kept following him until he stopped.
“Let me see Dad’s journal.” He asked Dean. Dean took it out of his jacket and handed it to Sam. Sam opened it and flipped a few pages in and turned it around so you and Dean could read it. He stopped on a page about wendigos.
“Oh come on, wendigos are nowhere near this part of the United States. I've never even heard of one this far west.” Dean scoffed.
“Think about it, Dean, the claws, and the way it can mimic a human voice.” You and Dean both knew Sam was right. If this thing was a Wendigo, then you were in deep shit.
“Great,” Dean said sarcastically. He took out the pistol he was using and scoffed. “I guess these are useless.”
“Fire, we need fire. That’s the only way to kill them. Other ways will slow them down or piss it off.” You said. Dean took back his dad’s journal and you watched as Sam walked.
“We have to get these people to safety.” Sam told Dean, his tone accusing. Dean clenched his jaw as his brother walked away.
“Hey, Dean, this wasn’t your fault. You didn’t know what we were hunting and like you said earlier, Hayley wasn’t going to sit this one out.” You touched his arm and then followed Sam back to the camp.
“All right, listen up, it's time to go. Things have gotten... more complicated.” Sam started to say.
“What?” Haley looked at him.
“Kid, don’t worry, whatever is out there, I think I can handle it.” Roy said, holding up his gun.
“It's not me I'm worried about. If you shoot this thing, you're just going to make it mad. We must leave, now.”
“One, you’re talking nonsense. Two, you’re in no position to give anybody orders.” Roy said angrily.
“We never should have let you come out here in the first place, alright? I'm trying to protect you.” That didn’t seem to please Roy because he got up in Sam’s space.
“You protect me? I was hunting these woods when your mommy was still kissing you good night.” Roy sneered. You stepped in between the two hunters and glared at Roy, trying to size him up, even though his was taller than you.
“I will not hesitate to kick your ass and believe me when I say that I can. I don’t care if you’re older. I’m a better hunter than you are and I’ve hunted a lot of things. I bet you haven’t killed a wendigo.” Dean pulled you away from Roy before you could get the word out.
“Chill!” He looked at you. No one messes with your boys and gets away with it.
“Stop, stop it. Everybody just stop. Look, Tommy might still be alive and I'm not leaving here without him.” Haley said. You sighed and nodded, looking away from everyone and walking to distance yourself from the group.
“It's getting late. This thing is a good hunter in the day, but an unbelievable hunter at night. We'll never beat it; not in the dark. We need to settle in and protect ourselves.” Dean said, looking over at you. You were biting your nails, something you always did when you were nervous or stressed.
Dean and Sam instructed everyone to wait until night fall and that is when they built a fire. You were on the outside of the campfire, biting your nails, and over thinking things. It was dead quiet except for Dean talking Hayley’s ear off.
“One more time, what are those?” She sounded confused but you didn’t dare look over.
“Anasazi symbols, it's for protection. The wendigo can't cross over them.” Roy started to laugh and turned around, glaring at him.
“How about we leave your ass outside and have you get eaten up. How would you like that?” Roy glared at you but you turned back around, nail in between your teeth. Dean sighed and looked at you before dropping his stick.
“Sweetheart, what’s gotten into you?” He grabbed your hand and pulled it out of your mouth, staring at you.
“Sorry, I just hate how ignorant people get and that we can’t tell them. He thinks he knows everything but why can’t he put the gun down and see we are trying to help?” You huffed.
“I don’t know but all we have to do is kill this thing and then we’re gone. You won’t have to see him again.” You nodded and saw Sam in his own mind, by himself.
“Let’s go see Sam.” You walked with him over to where Sam was.
“You wanna tell me what's going on in that freaky head of yours?” Dean stated. “And don’t say you're fine. You're like a powder keg, man, it's not like you. I'm supposed to be the belligerent one, remember?”
“Dad's not here. I mean, that much we know for sure, right? He would have left us a message, a sign, right?” Sam sighed. “We should get these people back to town and let's hit the road; go find Dad. I mean, why are we still even here?
“Can you even ask yourself that question, Sam? This is what a Hunter does. I remember when we were growing up, you jumped at the chance to kill these things. You never asked questions until your big fight with John. Something snapped inside of you and you haven’t reeled yourself back in.” You tried to reason with him.
“Man, look at the reason we are here. This book,” Dean held up his dad’s journal. “This is Dad's single most valuable possession—everything he knows about every evil thing is in here. And he's passed it on to us. I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things. The family business.”
“Dean, no, I can’t focus on the job when all I can think about is Jessica’s killer.” Sam sighed.
“Okay, alright, Sam, we'll find them, I promise. Listen to me, you've gotta prepare yourself. I mean, this search could take a while, and all that anger, you can't keep it in; t's going to kill you. You got to have patience, man.”
“Yeah, Sam, there are some hunts where I can’t even see myself doing it but I do because I get to save people and it’s all worth it in the end.” You sighed.
“It makes things a little bit more bearable and I’ll tell you what else helps: killing as many evil sons of bitches as I possibly can.” Sam chuckled, feeling better at the moment. Suddenly, you heard a twig snap and someone calling out for help.
“Help!!! Someone, please!!” You knew it wasn’t a person.
“Everybody, stay inside, he’s trying to draw us out.” You told everyone. The wendigo kept trying to lure anyone out by imitating a human.
“Okay, that’s no grizzly,” Roy gulped when he heard the low growing come from around. He raised his gun and shot, apparently hearing something that you didn’t. “I hit it!” Before you could stop him, he got up and ran after where he thought was a body.
“Roy! No!” You yelled after him. You groaned and started to run after him, a gun in your hand to protect yourself.
“It’s over here! It’s in the tree!” Your eyes widened when you saw the wendigo reach down and snap Roy’s neck. You saw it look at you and snarl. You screamed but that seemed to scare it away for the time being as he took Roy’s body with him.
“Y/N!” You heard Dean yell and soon, you felt hands pulling you back.
“Dean, his neck snapped.” You looked at your green-eyed friend. Roy was a pain in the ass but he didn’t need to die. You needed to protect everyone. No one else was dying on your watch.
“Let’s go before he comes back.” You two walked back to the group and made yourselves comfortable. You stayed like that all night long and not once did the wendigo bothered you. You barely got a wink of sleep and you ended up telling Ben and Hayley everything. They had to know, despite what Dean said.
“I don't... I mean, these types of things, they aren't supposed to be real.” You chuckled humorlessly. That’s what you thought decades ago.
“I wish I could tell you different.” Dean said.
“How do we know it’s not out there, watching us.” She looked up and around.
“We don’t but we’re safe for now.” You said.
“How do you know so much about this stuff?” Hayley asked. You looked over at Ben; he wasn’t much of a talker.
“It runs in the family.” That was the best way Dean could put it without giving too much out.
“So we've got half a chance in the daylight and I for one want to kill this evil son of a bitch,” Sam said, walking over to the group. He opened John’s journal and showed Hayley and Ben the wendigo page. “'Wendigo' is a Cree Indian word. It means 'evil that devours'.”
“They're hundreds of years old. They were men once before they turned into one of those things.” Dean explained.
“How does one turn?”
“It doesn’t matter who it is because it’s always the same situation. A man would find himself starving so bad, cut off from supplies and the outside world that he would eat what he can. Sometimes, that’s human flesh. He would eat other members of his tribe or camp. A lot of cultures believe that eating flesh gives the person certain abilities like speed and strength. You become one of these things if you eat enough of it. And each time you eat it, you become less and less human. You’re always hungry.” You said. You hunted a wendigo once, by yourself and it was not pretty.
“So if that’s true then how can Tommy still be alive?” You, Dean and Sam looked at each other with nervous glances, not sure how to tell her. “Tell me.”
“More than anything, a wendigo knows how to last long winters without food. It hibernates for years at a time, but when it's awake it keeps its victims alive. It, uh, it stores them, so it can feed whenever it wants. If your brother's alive, it's keeping him somewhere dark, hidden, and safe. We gotta track it back there.” Dean said.
“So how do we stop it?” Hayley wondered.
“We torch it.” Dean said, holding up a can of lighter fluid, a beer bottle, and a white cloth.
You spent a day and a half, searching through the woods with no avail. No signs were coming up; the only things you found were claw marks on trees and that is what you were following. You were walking ahead with Sam when you noticed something strange. You stopped walking, stopping the tracks of everyone else.
“What is it?” Sam asked.
“See these marks? They are very clear and distinct like they were almost too easy to follow.” You and Sam looked at each other than to the group. Your eyes widened when you saw Hayley with blood on her shirt. She looked up and yelped, moving out of the way just in time for Roy’s body to drop where she once stood. You stopped when you heard growling and you knew that you have been spotted.
“It found us, move!” You looked for Dean and saw him running with Hayley. You knew Sam would get Ben as you ran with the two of them. You couldn’t believe that the group had split up but you needed to go with Dean. He would be too worried about Hayley to worry about himself. You caught up with them but stopped short when you saw the Wendigo snarling at you, advancing towards you. The next thing you knew, you were sucked into blackness.
“Y/N, hey, sweetheart.” You opened your eyes with a groan and looked at Dean who was down from the ties he was hanging on. You don’t remember much, just bits and pieces but you thought you were wendigo food.
“Where is he?” You held your head and looked at Dean. You looked around to see Sam, Ben and Hayley all around you. Hayley looked scared shitless, Sam looked protective of the strangers and Ben was standing there quietly.
“He’s gone for now.” You looked at Sam and nodded, getting on your feet.
“Damn, two hunts in a row. If these how hunts go for me, I won’t have a brain left.” You joked.
“Tommy.” You heard Hayley say and she started crying, going over to her brother who was hanging from ropes. You were too far away to see if he was alive of not.
“I wouldn’t do that.” You warned Hayley when she reached to touch her brother’s cheek. She didn’t listen and did it anyway. You watched to see what would happen and jumped, startled when Tom jerked awake.
“Cut him down!” Hayley demanded of Sam. As Sam did that, you noticed familiar looking guns and smirked to yourself.
“My bottle broke. What are we going to do now?” Dean pouted.
“Will this work?” You held up two flair guns that you found. Sam and Dean grinned, taking them from you. There was one more and you grabbed it. Sam was the one to lead the group down the tunnel that him and Ben came through. You and Dean were behind them, flair guns up and on high alert. You stopped short when you heard growling.
“Looks like someone’s home for supper.” Dean said. He made eye contact with his brother, having a silent conversation. You never understood their connection and it always irritated the shit out of you. When you were growing up, that is how they kept secrets from you and you hated it.
“Alright, listen to me and stay with Sam. He’s going to get you out of here.” You looked at your best friend in shock.
“Dean?” You couldn’t bear to lose him.
“Go, sweetheart. I’ll be okay.” You shook your head.
“No, I don’t want to leave you.” You started to panic inside.
“Sam, take her with you.” Sam grabbed your arm. You looked at him and tried to get him off.
“No, I want to go with Dean!” You looked back to see him gone. “Dean!!” You yelled out.
“Y/N! Let’s go, you don’t want that thing coming here!”  You sighed and heard Dean yelling through the caves.
“Chow time, you freaky bastard! Yeah, that's right, bring it on, baby, I taste good.” You couldn’t hear the rest as he got further into the cave. You let tears fall and followed Sam. You were going to kill Dean when he made it back out alive. You almost made it to the end of the tunnel when you heard growling behind you.
“Go, Sam, I got this one.” You turned around to see the wendigo right in your face. You backed away and raised the gun, shooting but missing because they were so damn fast.
“Let’s go!” Sam said, escorting out the Collins’s with you trailing behind. You managed to get to the end of the tunnel and you stopped when you heard snarls come from behind you. You turned around, Sam effectively blocking the whole family. You were about to shoot when you saw the wendigo burst into flames. You let out a breath of relief when you saw Dean and ran to him, engulfing him in a hug.
“Whoa, where’s the fire, sweetheart?” He hugged you back. You pulled away and slapped his chest.
“Don’t ever scare me like that again! You hear me, Winchester?” Dean nodded and pulled you in for another hug.
“I’m right here. I was never going to leave.” He and Sam led the group out of the cave where safety was.
“That's when it circled the campsite. I mean, this grizzly must have weighed eight hundred, nine hundred pounds.” Ben explained to the police about what happened.
“Alright, we will go after it first thing.” The officer nodded and left him.
“How can I thank you?” Hayley said to Dean. Dean smirked at her flirtatiously and you rolled your eyes. “Must you cheapen the moment?” Hayley was distracted by a paramedic and you walked over to Sam.
“You feeling better?” You smiled softly.
“Yeah, are you?” You looked over at Dean and saw Hayley kiss his cheek.
“Yeah.”
“I know you like him.” Sam said suddenly.
“What?” You whipped your head around to Sam. “Sam, you’re crazy. I do not like your brother.” You scoffed.
“Sure.” Sam smirked and Dean walked over to you guys.
“I hate camping.” Dean complained. Sam chuckled and nodded, agreeing with him.
“You know we are going to find your dad, right?” You looked at both boys.
“Yeah, I know, but in the meantime, I’m driving.” Sam said, looking at Dean. Dean grinned and tossed his keys to his brother.
“You know, one day I will drive this car.” You looked at Dean, getting in the back seat.
“Sure you will.” Dean smirked.

Ten Things I’m Excited About This Spring
It’s easy to get down on spring clothes. They don’t have the natural appeal of fall/ winter wardrobes -- no plush cashmere or prickly tweeds to draw you in. There’s also little opportunity to layer. Once the weather warms up, a lot of guys are left scratching their heads, wondering how they can remain well dressed while also staying comfortable.
Spring can be a great time to play with brighter colors, interesting silhouettes, and unique materials, however. If you’re looking for ideas on what to wear this season, here are ten things I’m particularly excited about. In order of appearance above:
1. Tobacco Linen Suits
A linen suit is your weekend companion for when you want to look sharply dressed, but still somewhat relaxed. Good for afternoon brunches at a swanky hotel, excursions into the city, and nights at a rooftop bar with friends. Linen does well in navy, tan, and tobacco brown (the last is my favorite, and what I’ll be wearing this season). You can use the pieces together as a suit, or break them up into separates for something more casual. Linen sport coats go well with everything from jeans to tropical wool trousers. Pair these with braided belts and striped, open-collar shirts to create a more interesting look.
2. Suede Leather Jackets
Leather can be too heavy for summer, but it’s perfect for those 60s to 70s temperatures in April and May. I’m particularly looking forward to wearing suede more often this year. It scuffs more easily than calfskin, but in certain designs, that can be part of the charm. I have a suede Harrington and cafe racer, both of which I love, but I’m mostly excited about wearing this Stoffa flight jacket I bought a couple of weeks ago. Also great: James Grose’s charcoal suede double rider. A nice change of pace from the black motorcycle jackets I’ve been seeing everywhere in the city.
3. Leather Slip Ons
Penny loafers and camp mocs are my usual go-tos for warm weather footwear, but this year, I’m enamored with the idea of wearing more casual slip-ons -- something in between the formality of dress loafers and espadrilles. Unionmade has some nice ones this season from Barbanera (designed in conjunction with Eidos). I also dig these from Christian Kimber and Baudoin & Lange, the second of which is available through The Armoury. A little less dainty than Belgian Shoes, but has the same kind of charm.
4. Looser Clothes
Slim fit clothes have dominated menswear for the last fifteen years, so I’ve been looking for something fresher. Looser clothes, such as the ones you see fourth photo above, can be a nice way to play with your silhouette when you have little opportunity to wear something more than a t-shirt and trousers. Think: looser fit pants cut a fuller thigh and tapered leg, along with comfy shirts made with dropped shoulder seams. Camoshita, Our Legacy, and Lemaire are good for these sorts of things. Uniqlo can also be surprisingly experimental (and a lot more affordable). Just look at these wide pants!
5. Boldly Printed Shirts
Similarly, when you can’t wear much else, it can be nice to make the most of what you have. A boldly printed shirt in this case -- maybe even cut with a camp collar -- will look a bit more interesting than your usual, light blue OCBDs (as much as I love those things). We’re big fans of Aloha shirts here. See Pete’s two-part series on vacation wear for ideas, as well as my review of Two Palms.
6. Polo Shirts Under Sport Coats
If your clothes don’t fit as well as they should, this can go tremendously wrong (think: business guys trying to look cool a hotel bars). Instead, pick up something with a nice collar and has long sleeves, which will allow you to show a bit of shirt cuff. Layered under a softly constructed sport coat, this can be a great way to dress down traditional tailored clothing (just make sure everything fits well and don’t pair these with light washed dad jeans). Kent Wang sells some nice, affordable, long-sleeved polos. G. Inglese and Ascot Chang are also worth a look if you have more coin to spend.
7. Tonal Navy Seersucker Suits
Seersucker is an American classic, but in its usual blue-and-white form, it can feel a bit preppy. As an alternative, I’ve been really digging the idea of a navy seersucker suit. It has all the fun and cool-wearing properties of traditional seersucker, but feels a bit more updated and sophisticated. You can wear one with a band collar shirt and Vans slip-ons, like Kyle above, or with a more traditional spread-collar shirt and dressier derbies. Available this spring in a cotton-silk blend through Camoshita (which is the one you see in the photo), or in a wool-silk blend through Ring Jacket at The Armoury (the product page will be up in a few weeks. The Armoury is also hosting a Ring Jacket trunk show in NYC, starting tomorrow).
8. Colorful Swatch Watches
What good is spring style if it doesn’t make you smile? Swatch’s colorful timepieces are a great way to add a bit of cheer to your day. They’re affordable, much like Timex, but instead of those serious, classic designs, Swatch is all about bright, colorful watch straps and pop-art faces. Get one in a ridiculous color, such as sunshine yellow or apple green, or my favorite, the company’s translucent design (colloquially known as the jellyfish, which you can find on eBay). They go with nothing and everything at the same time. When the battery starts to die down, you can get it replaced for free at a Swatch store.
9. Spring Scarves
The easiest way to accessorize a warm weather outfit -- at least until the weather gets too hot in June. I love oversized wool and cashmere scarves in the wintertime, but spring scarves call for something lighter, airier, and more manageable. We have some made from Japanese boro cotton that I think go great with workwear. Drake’s also makes some really special designs, including ones in painted stripe, geometric, floral, and patchwork motifs. Another favorite is Christian Kimber’s Melbourne scarf. The clay brown really complements navy, olive, and mid-gray -- all staple colors for outerwear.
10. French Chore Coats
French chore coats tick all the right boxes for spring outerwear -- zero structure or lining inside, which makes them reasonably comfortable on warm days; cotton drill shell that’s dirt resistant and easy to wash; and two oversized hip pockets that are perfect for carrying an average-sized paperback book and a sandwich. As a relatively simple design, you’ll want to play with the details. Pair them with old tees or Breton shirts, fuller cut chinos, and either slip-ons or boots (if you’re wearing boots, roll the chinos up a bit higher to create a more interesting look). I listed a bunch of options here, but really -- when it comes to French chore coats, you should just get a vintage one.
