Thank President Trump? He's the one who proposed the bill to ban it in 2020. Trump started the bill to ban TikTok. This whole "banning" stunt was just for publicity, Trump wants to increase his popularity especially in the younger (dare I say more progressive) generation. You may notice that TikTok says “thanks to Trump we are back” or something of that matter, but you need to realize that people will do good things to persuade others to follow them. In case anyone hasn't heard, during Trump's inauguration speech, he claims that only "2 genders: male and female" will be FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED.
