He folded the paper and quietly moved behind you, putting his hand above your head and slipping the note on the page you were reading.

Your gaze shifted to the sudden movement, curiously eyeing the note that was laid in front of you.

Putting your book on your lap, you opened the note with a little suspicion, Minho's face having a small grin upon successfully diverting your attention.

The second you opened the note, you read over the contents still keeping a straight face up until you saw the small "i <3 u” with a little winky face.

Snorting at the cheesiness of the note with an equation you were pretty sure you’d seen saved one of your plenty Pinterest boards,

“Love, we don’t even have a maths exam next, we have biology.”

Turning your chair you faced him, you bit your lower lip to prevent the grin from showing on your face.

It was Minho’s turn to now deadpan you,

“Even after I wrote such a…such a meaningful message portraying my true feelings, yet you’re still worried about studying when it’s almost been three hours already and you’re not even paying attention to me or what I want to say.”

“Babe I’m pretty sure I already saw this on Pinterest...and not to mention this is just 8th grade algebra.”

He glared at your words after his overdramatic speech to which you couldn’t help but burst out in giggles, he seemed like an angry little puppy when he glared at you like that.

“Okay okay fine, what do you want to do? I should take a study break anyways”

You asked putting aside the book, making sure to carefully place the note between the pages acting as a bookmark you’d always cherish.

With those words, it was as if a switch was flipped on his attitude and his eyes lit up as he grinned,excited to finally have your attention.

“So what I'm saying is we should…”

[ A few hours later, still, your “fifteen-minute break from studying suddenly extended to hours, as usual. ]

Laying on Minho’s bed, you’d both finished watching the final episode of a show that you binged on together, the laptop going into sleep mode since having been ditched after a while.

Minho laid down with his head in your lap, you sitting upright as you caressed his hair, something you loved to do and well who was Minho do deny his lover's affection when he admittedly loved it just as much, maybe even more.

"I meant it though. What I wrote in that…note." He said grinning up at you.

"Though I'm sad you didn't take me seriously at first." He slightly pouted to which you giggled at how offended his tone was.

"That's because you're an absolute idiot." You told biting your lip and just as he was about to protest, you leaned down and pecked his lips to shut him up, smiling at the way he complied so easily to you.

Moving back a bit, you whispered so tenderly as if the words should only be between you two.

"But you're still my idiot and I love you too."

“Do you still want to go to this party JD is throwing for end of season 3? We don’t have to, I mean I know how angry you are” you question, you didn’t really want to go.

You both had been seeing each other on the down low since the night you had sex, so exactly 5 months. You had planned on speaking to Chase but with Drew being busy with interviews and you working in the office until late most night, no one’s schedule ever matched.

What seemed like an eternity later; he strode on in. Dressed all in black and frames on his face. He waved at everyone, but you could tell he was anxious. He didn’t like not knowing the future.

He pulls Drew in for hug and gives him a rough pat on the back, you can feel slight tension from them both. Unsure how to react to each other, Chase was understanding. Yes, he felt a little strange that his ex was now dating Drew who had become a close friend of his since season 1.

But if Y/N could deal with Chase having had feelings for Maddi then the least he could do is deal with the two of them becoming a couple. So, he pulled you into a soft hug and before you could pull away. He brought his lips to your ears.

TPN Brainrots part 2:

Warning: just like the in the previous part... There will be Manga Spoilers.

Since I was unable to finish part 3 of my comic for Emma's birthday (due to being in a place where bringing a laptop was not advised) I will do my head canons and theories on her.

So today's post is about: Emma

Emma is a protagonist in the wrong genre. That was my first thought when I finished season 1 for the first time. Of course now I know how much more complicated her personality is. Introducing her first from the Trio was a really good choice in my opinion, because her cheerful, hopeful, happy and naive personality makes you believe that everything in all right with their lives. Her point of view up until Connie's death really shows how easy it is to believe in a comfortable lie. (not to forget that in canon they're 11-12)

Emma's appearance explained:

Just like I did with Ray... I have something unique to add to each drawing of her. First let's talk about the Freckles! I'm a big fan of interesting character traits, such us freckles, moles, scars, tooth gaps, vitiligo or anything similar to that. Also the red/orange hair🧡! My second favourite hair color in anime & character history (first is black🖤).

When colouring I like to use vivid colours for her clothes (mostly red or orange to bring out her hair). Maybe that's why, my favourite outfit is what she wore in the Goldy Pond Arc.

In the manga colouring above if you look closely, Emma has faint scars on her knees and elbows. Since she most likely do what her heart says before thinking, I imagine that she didn't mind if she scrapped her knees or bruised her elbow, while playing with her friends and family. Physically active kids often fall while playing but, falling hard then getting up again all by yourself is a good way to symbolise their in journey. (Old drawing of mine😅⬇️)

Leader of the Grace Field Group:

Emma simply had to get into the Leader's role after Norman's shipment. I'm sorry to say that but Ray was a bit useless. He was lost in his own pain and gave up all hope (I mean... valid, but still), so she had to plan everything. Norman's letter and the other kids (Gilda, Don, Thoma, Lanni, etc) helped a lot, but she was practically alone. She couldn't even grieve Norman properly. Don't forget that Emma is smart and an amazing actor. She fooled Isabella thinking she gave up too (not to mention that time she slowed her heartbeat so Mom doesn't know she was lying).

My forever favourite moment (Idk why didn't I mention this in the Brainrots part 1) is Emma slapping some sense into Ray (pun intended😁). Like that setting and that scenery is my Roman Empire. Her catching a burning match just in time, not caring about burning her hand, then convincing Ray to excape with her and the rest of the group (Okay actually... let's be honest... she basically had to drag him out of the House). The first glimpse of what Emma is capable on her own. Nerves of steel for cutting her ear off too (her first big sacrifice just to save the others).

After the Excape, she got a lot of help from Ray who also apologised for his behaviour. The two of them comforting each other after thinking Norman died is just such a heart warming scene. Meeting with Sonju and Mujika was a big turning point for Emma, because of three things;

1: Okay first she was scolded because of her recklessness as well as Ray for trying to play the hero, but that not strongly Mujika or demon related. The world opened up for the whole group. They learnt about the Promise and how the world was divided into two.

2: Emma learned and saw from first hand, that not all demon are evil. Mujika helped them despite their differences and the end of that week Emma thrusted her so much she even showed her the photographs of her family and told her about Norman too.

3: Receiving the neklace and the advice to search for the Seven Wall while they're on their journey.

Arriving to B06-32 and meeting Mister/Yuugo there was a new challenge. All the kids saw another 'Isabella' who tried to kill them. Emma, then Ray were the first ones who saw through his facade.

Goldy Pond Arc was Emma time to shine as a leader and as an individual too. Meeting Lucas and the Goldy Pond squad and immediately connecting to them shows how much she cares about others. Her bonding time with Lucas as they uncover the mysteries surrounding the identity of William Minerva.

Fun fact: In my fanfic I like to age up the Grace Field Trio roughly to Oliver's age, because I think this way their personalities are more dominant and clear.

Emma's relationship with adults:

I like to think that Emma never saw Isabella as a monster (not even after discovering the truth). And as truthful as it is. I think Isabella formed a deeper bond with Emma than with her own son. That's because from the Grace Field Trio, only Emma could have been saved by Mom. With the Mom/Sister Program, Emma would have been able to live on, but it's against her nature to harm anyone. Although I found it interesting that that was the original composition of the manga. Emma becoming a Mom and Gilda becoming a Sister (correct me if I know this wrong). Also this picture under... I found it on Pinterest and it's reflects back to my theory of what might happen to the boys.

Meeting Yuugo and Lucas were a complete different experience for the Grace Field kids. The Bunker Dads were the caring parents both group (Grace Field & Goldy Pond) needed and deserved. Not to mention how Emma reminds me both the young and hopeful Yuugo from the past and the clever and patient Lucas of the present. Spending almost two years on the B06-32 shelter while searching for the Seven Wall makes their last goodbye 1000% more heart breaking.

Back to Grace Field Arc is when Emma meets Isabella again. She gets closer slowly but she doesn't have an emotional barricade as high up as Ray or even Norman. Emma forgave her easier, but that doesn't mean she justified the things Mom did with her family. She simply realised that Isabella had no other choice if she wanted to stay alive.

Making the new Promise and the Human World:

First of all King of Paradise Arc? Realising that Norman is still alive?! Oh the the happy tears when I first read that🖤🤍🧡. (Although to tell the truth Ray slapping Norman as soon as he sees him was such a right choice in my opinion) Emma breaking down in tears and hugging Norman was such an emotional and wholesome scene. But the argument after... let's just say I don't like miscommunication and/or characters keeping important secrets to themselves. (*glances at the GF Trio* "All three of you is in trouble")

Ohh Seven Wall Arc my beloved 🧡🖤. I like every bit of this story but Seven Wall Arc holds a special space in my heart. That Arc still holds so much potential to play around. The demon God's power to manipulate time, space and play around with Emma's and Ray's memories was wild. For the demon God name... I call them Elari. (Yes I stared at that nonsense of a word until it looked like a name). It was such a nice touch that the demon God only wanted to talk to Emma, but I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for Ray, because I think he was worried as hell when he woke up alone without Emma on his side. (I also sometimes think about what kind of Reward he would have received if he stayed with Elari).

The Reward Emma got is... without a question... cruel, and I think it was not needed, but I also can't think about something else what she could have gave to Elari if not her memories.

She deserves happiness and I can't say how much I cried when the Ray and Norman + everyone else found her in the human world. In the end I'm happy that Emma and all of them got a relatively happy ending.

Irratino commands the yacht to Drakonia, and the fearful guanaco abides. Following the map, he is led to the center where the convocation was held - and a conspiracy convention is taking place. He’s thought this many times now, but for real this time, if anyone knows where Logico is, it’s someone here. The organizer of the conference is long dead now (obviously), but the guests are still keeping it going.

CRYSTAL GODDESS: AND THAT IS WHY, I KNOW FOR SURE, THAT ALIENS CONTROL THE WOOOOOOOORLD!!! [yeets book]

Her booming voice blasts everyone backwards.

WHITE: Wonderful. Hey, Tino. What brings you back here? IRRATINO: I’m here to- WHITE: Hang on a second hon. Looks like we got another body. 

Tino growls. He can’t even finish his sentence anymore!

SEASHELL: My turn, my turn!!

He runs over to the board. How did he get to Drakonia so fast? He was back on the mainland two episodes ago! The fish bro inhales a cup of coffee and stares with a crazed expression, purple bags under his eyes.

SEASHELL: I am here to tell you, that SLEEP - YES, THE VERY NATURE OF SLEEP ITSELF - IS… A COMPLETE SCAM! THAT’S RIGHT, YOU HEARD ME! Think about it…  [violent pointing to head] when you SLEEP, you can’t DO anything! And that’s when they GET you! THEY’RE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR PRECIOUS HOURS!!!

He kicks over a side table. 

SEASHELL: I’M ALWAYS RIGHT! [eyes facing completely different directions] AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

General Coffee kicks him aside. 

COFFEE: Right, right. Very entertaining. I have a much more prevalent theory that may just change all our lives.

Irratino isn’t listening to any of this, no matter how interesting it is. He is busy working as fast as he can to dispose of another body so White will tell him where Logico is.

COFFEE: [ahem…] You see, no one really understands time. But I have actually FOUND an answer to when time began! Last Tuesday. You see, that’s when my bean sprouts started growing. It must be the beginning of time! And that excuses all my previous crimes, as they were committed before time began.

Irratino is stalled more as he waits in line for the bathroom. It takes far too long, and he has to hear about the Crystal Goddess’ theory AGAIN. There’s no line for the women’s room whatsoever. Does he want to know why? 

When he finally gets in, he finds the book the Goddess threw. Opening it as he plops down, he finds some interesting Drakonian lore.

IRRATINO: WAAHAHAHA! [splash] Oops.

And it turns out the murderer was President White all along.

WHITE: That’s right. I believe everyone’s being murdered for a reason. I killed the organizer of this conference because he was helping us get away with it. But I need someone I can trust to help me unmask this conspiracy and save the person we fear most. IRRATINO: Who… do you fear? WHITE: Our friend, Deductive Logico. 

Knowing how much rides on this, Irratino decides to trust her, and follows her to where she leads.

4. And 13. For the art ask game :3

Oh! OH! *bouncing excitedly* Okay!

Okay, so 4 is "A piece you wish got more love". For that, I'd probably say either my Team TIES MCC art, my og Boatem Grian piece (because his feathers, guys, his feathers and wings and the whole pose???), or my Gambler Skizz design...

The Team TIES didn't get quite as finished as I'd originally wanted, and there are little details I'd change now, but... I still absolutely adore it. It's... Definitely one of my favorite pieces I've done in... Quite a while.

The Boatem Series Grian I did was... So much fun, and is still one of my favorite pieces I've done of Grian (and it's, like, over 2 years old). The Mumbo and Pearl from that same series are also stunning pieces, some of my favorite works too - the Pearl has by far gotten the most attention. (Also, that Boatem Scar is the origin of my design idea for his leg braces!!!)

As for Gambler Skizz... I really enjoyed doing it, adding the little card/gambling motifs in and adjusting his basic suit to make it a little more... Flashy. He's a little inspired by Aventurine's design from Honkai Star Rail, who's one of my favorite HSR characters, so that was a lot of fun! And... Skizz always deserves more love.

(and as a bonus non-Hermits piece - my Abyss Dragon Ajax designs, both the one for Amanveth's (@friendly-neighbourhood-archon's) After Everything fic and my own design that's more Foul Legacy based... Both were so much fun to draw!!!)

As for number 13 "Talk about a wip you like"... I'm gonna talk about 2 here. One is my Full Hermits Napping Piece, which I started around the time S9 was ending. I'm probably going to make some edits now, after everything that's happened since planning it out (Skizz & Joel's joining and Iskall & Stress's resigning both) but I'm... I'm so so so pleased with how it's going so far, I love the concept, I... It's delightful. I've posted a few little snippets of the WIP so far, but the concept is a giant Hermit cuddle-puddle/slumber party (originally as a between seasons kind of thing, but... That ship has kinda sailed, XD) and I'm enjoying drawing all the sleepy hermits all flopped over and against each other. It's great. It's taking so long though, because I'm not great at keeping motivation (too many ideas, too little time) and also it's... It's in my full style, not the chibi-esque, so it's detailed and complicated and tedious. But so so fun.

As for the second one - RMAU-Verse Trueforms Imp and Skizz. This one is a lot closer to done, but... little edits/additional details need to be made. Impulse needs more work than Skizz, but... They look cool, even if not quite what's in my head yet... I do really like them though, and I'm looking forward to eventually finishing them...

...okay, 2 more I thought of just now - my week 2 of Imp&SkizzTober piece, which is a hug/preening/trust piece that... I can't wait for that to turn out, it feels so soft and getting Skizz's wings just right was... An endeavor but they look great now, and Impulse's wings somehow turned out perfect in the rough sketch and... I'm just excited by how soft it makes me feel. And bonus 2 is my RMAU-Verse Grian and Mumbo in Watcher regalia... They look super cool, and they're actually mainly complete (it's the other little side drawings that need completing, but my brain is currently more Imp and Skizz obsessed so... It's kinda on the back burner) and I'm really pleased with how the outfits and wings and... Watcher-y bits all turned out. Especially for also starting it like... I think 2 years ago???

Doodle Dump 2: Electric Boogaloo

So to distract myself from…. recent irl events…. Here’s another doodle dump featuring Usagi and the ocs of @twistedtummies2 . Imma be real… it’s been a shitty week. From college to…. Whatever that was… I’ve just honestly been feeling mentally drained rn. But doodling helps me calm down as well as TT2’s ocs. Expect a lot more doodles here in the future. For my own comfort, but for hopefully ya’lls as well <3

A compilation of Usagi with Billy. I have to admit I kind of also ship them with him. Primarily cause 1. The Rabbit aesthetic, 2. It speaks to my g/t loving heart, and 3. Billy’s my second favorite besides Elias. Billy’s fairly easy for me to draw

….This is the worst thing I’ve drawn like 😭😭😭😭. I made the original doodle at work so yea…. Bald Billy & Rizzler Nakoda… more like Rizzkoda am I right? (kill me now). Fun fact, Procreate actually crashed on me when I was doing this so I guess that’s a sign 💀

Two doodles I made during midterm week. Also the week I realized Usagi was also partially a vent oc for me. Take that as you will.

And finally we starting a design for Overblot!Usagi. It appears that those feelings of inadequacy and being forgotten got too much for our poor Ramshackle Prefect. I may still need time to come up with an actual idea for what leads them to Overblot. Their design I plan to be based on that of concept art for when Oswald was the planned villain for Epic Mickey other than the Blot, a trolley conductor uniform in reference to Trolley Troubles on of Oswald’s first shorts, and possibly have imagery from the other overblots. Also besides their head and clothes… her entire body is covered in blot. As for abilities, one idea that I think could be interesting is them being able to detach and reattach body parts like Oswald has done in the past. Think that could be some nice nightmare fuel 😂. Another idea is implementing the paint and thinner in some way… but the idea is that they can create a large amount of thinner to create a wave and when touch by said thinner, the person turns to a statue…. a little nod to what happens to Ortensia in the first game. The paint has the abilities to create physical illusions, more specifically clones, similar to Lapis Lazuli’s copy of the gems to fight in the Ocean Gem episodes or Neo’s semblance ability from Rwby, specifically season 9. It would be a reference to the animatronics of Mickey’s friends, once again from Epic Mickey. Their smile I do like thinking is a reference to how the characters smile in stuff like the title cards or even the mascot suit…. But the more depressing reason is that Usagi at this point has officially snapped and is at that point of no return. It’s the whole smile through the pain kind of thing. To add up they’re a human so their blot form is on the brink of collapse at any moment. They are both figuratively and literally straining to hold themselves together. If the thinner ability idea goes through (in my mind) to Usagi… staues can last for a long time, they can be used to represent someone’s life, their memory. I might go more in depth with it once I finish the design… but yeah it’s gonna get heavy.

Ep 46 Pt 1: Zorc’s Massive Low Hanging Fruit

We are getting very close! I don’t actually...remember how many episodes there were in this season but listen, It can’t possibly be more than 50 right?

Right?

Anyway, we’re starting off in the battle basement in Yami’s tomb. Who, of course has a battle basement installed right outside of his final resting place, just like how he would have wanted.

And it’s here that the form of Bakura that the dub is telling me is Ryou wants to kill his own classmate. Which, I’ll just point it out since a couple people mentioned it, apparently the manga did not do this nor did the original Japanese version. The dub just made this Ryou for giggles. We already know Bakura can split into evil pieces, this was not necessary. We also know that Ryou is sleeping on those painful steppies, so this doesn’t make much logical sense.

But like we’re watching the dub right now, so sorry, everybody, this is Ryou. Ryou on a bad day, I guess. Dark Ryou. Not to be confused with Shadow Ryou, who is...that other freaking guy.

Yugi just upset that he forgot to bring his dueling disk to a dream universe in the past or whatever. Must feel naked without that thing stinking up his left arm and making that school blazer all wrinkly. Bro is telling me that Yugi should have one really big arm, kind of like trogdor.

the one thing that does make sense with making this Ryou is a little bit of symbolic imagery. Ryou talks about how he doesn’t have friends anymore in the beginning of this arc, and we can assume it’s because he’s decided to step away from other people because of the ghost in his bean. In contrast, Yugi has all these friends he cursed to like him (woops), and for whom he just risked his whole life for, and for whom he didn’t learn the Pharaoh’s name that he needed in order to save all of mankind.

Which, for reals, Tea and Joey are such good buds, that he really did just end the world to save their ass, and that is pretty anime of him.

But Tea gets very nervous over whether or not Yugi was going to perma-die. It would be very awkward if he died, since he’s also the host of this puzzle which is she is currently stuck inside of. Though I’m not 100% on if it’s even possible for him to die here. Little bit of a chicken or the egg situation, which I may have brought up before.

But still, she’s worried about it.

Which is when Joey does a quick head count and go “WAIT WAIT"

Back at Kul Elna, everything is very quickly falling apart. Rocks are falling from the sky, Pharaoh is back at the capital with Seto and the other Seto, and Karim helllllllllllllla died last episode (or 2 episodes ago? I have such bad memory nowadays) so we’re just gonna leave his corpse in the barn and go.

sorry I just took in the incredible abs on this oversized chess piece that is Hassad. 

Why bother? Like for reals why bother?

I have so many questions about this random guy and his character design and they will not get answered. Apparently Dark Side of Dimensions dives into it as well as other unresolved issues from this season but like, that’s for another time. We will be watching that later, and at my rate it’ll be like 5 years from now but I swear...unless I caught covid a second (third?) time we will eventually get there and find out the deal of this...this freakin guy.

Meanwhile, our story boarders are not finished flexing. I think they really enjoyed this particular episode, with this really fun composition around Bakura here. They LOVE to shred scenery with Bakura on this carving, and there are so many good shots where it’s like a comic cover. I mean, look at this:

Damn that’s a good idea. This composition is fun. You got the curves from this...pokemon that I forgot the name of... you got him dead center all strong and rigid to contrast the curves. You got purple and green clouds. It’s fun. If y’all ever want to do the “draw this anime still but in your style” this is a good still. Good stuff.

And then Bakura peaces off--no idea where, and it doesn’t really matter since we have like so many Bakura’s at this point. Lets just assume he’s everywhere.

And with that, the ground gives way to the ZORC within.

This ultimate being, Zorc, who we’ve been talking up for so many episodes.

And that’s when we find out Isis also left out another crucial detail about Zorc:

So listen. We can say that the...neck...of the snake is coming out of his lower stomach. But also, they left it in shadow for a reason. 

The reason is, this episode is getting me flagged.

It occurred to me I don’t have to go for the low hanging fruit. I don’t have to. I can find a way around this. And I struggled. And I did whatever I, a full grown adult, could think to do. I thought to myself, I am a creative person, and I am inventive and I can write comedy well enough so it’s not just about poops and butts and dicks.

And then I gave up because of the number of times this thing is dead center on screen. And really, truly, I make a lot of low hanging jokes on this blog anyway so we’re just going to embrace Zorc for who he really is, both inside and outside.

And he is a slowly growing talking dragon shaped penis with legs.

Covered up by my joke towel in this scene I want you to know the snake just had it’s maws wide open to shout them down. It literally does only talk out of the dragon head on the bottom part of him.

Anyway, then Hassan jumps in front of the missiles zorc shoots from his crotch and well...he dies that way.

Death by firecrotch. This is like an immortal God meant to be the protector of the Pharaohs but you can kill him and the way how is disgusting.

There they go, back to the palace, which like, I guess is VERY close to Kul Elna, since Yami and Seto are currently vibing there right now.

Back at fight club, these two are still at it.

and then back at the funeral of the most romantic anime death of all time, Seto is still at it.

Seto, despite probably having to throw just SO MANY funerals for his tragic backstory is not very good at them. So right now he’s just distancing himself emotionally from literally everything going on around him by convincing himself this is all a very vivid hallucination.

Which it is. For once he is correct, this entire arc is a hallucination, but a hallucination with consequences. Which he is not used to. Hell he doesn’t see consequences when he’s not in a hallucination half the time. He’s like super rich.

Yami decides he did what he can, but he’s done with this freakin guy. I guess trying to reach through to Seto is a skill that only Yugi possesses, cuz Yami is just clear out of patience for this sociopath. Which is a shame, he usually loves this sociopath.

I laughed out loud at this cut to this horse’s ass and Seto’s reaction to being left behind from getting a ride the one time he was the one who needed a ride.

LMAO at the dub for adding that suspicious soil clump where a dead girlfriend probably was laying before.

but being real, this is another very nice shot, I didn’t cap it for vibes, and I really should have. Again, if you’re looking for a “draw this in your style” anime still challenge, this is another fun one. You got a juxtaposition of old and new. You got the storytelling of the dead girlfriend and trying to understand feelings you don’t understand because you were taught to never love. You got lovely ancient pillars. You got a clump of dirt that used to be a girl...

Like we may have dragged Seto’s ass back here, just to make him look cool and out of place in that coat as the wind sweeps by him. And that’s fine, I’ll accept that Seto this season may only be here for some vibes.

As he admires her slowly breathing (yes, breathing, thanks dub) he flashes back to that only time he every had a single conversation with this woman (a conversation they had, only because she thought he was someone else)

And off he goes, to look cool and probably do little else.

1:11 - MTL PENALT Y - Geno draws an interference penalty on Josh Andersen and it puts the Penguins on the power play within the first two minutes of the period.

I can't remember when this happened so I'm throwing it here but Cody Glass BODIED Newhook right into the glass. Oh my goodness.

Penguins aren't able to set up on the power play, with no shots taken and a few shorthanded chances by the Habs that don't connect. They move to 1-2 on the PP so far.

4:40 - PGH EV GOAL - Rakell with his second goal of the night! This first line is really feeling themselves tonight. All three of them have three points. Sid has 3 assists, no goals unfortunately so far....

5:51 - MTL PENALTY - Josh Andersen with another penalty, this time he highsticks our baby pen Pickering. Back to the powerplay the Pens go.

7:42 - PGH PP GOAL - BANG BANG LETANG. Tanger with his 6th goal of the season and it comes on the power play!

8:41 - PGH EV GOAL - TITO GOAL! This all happened way too fast I can't keep up I'm gonna have to look at the goal visualizer after the game finishes.

9:24 - PGH PENALTY - Ryan Graves heads to the box for tripping. Penguins don't allow a single shot from the Habs PP group.

11:56 - PGH EV GOAL - BRYAN RUST HAT TRICK COMPLETE! This is his 6th career hatty and the first one since January 2022 against San Jose.

14:20 - PGH EV GOAL - NIETO GOAL !! His first in 405 days! That entire sequence was beautiful wow.. Grzlecyk and Lizotte went east to west

18:42 - PGH EV GOAL - Acciari gets his third of the season off of an unlucky bounce for the Habs.

They took Sam Montembeault out of the game after the Tito goal and replaced him with Cayden Primeau... who also got lit up like a Christmas tree.

Need to give Tristan Jarry his flowers tonight. What a bounce back from the Avs game. Wowowow

MP100 Reaction

I just watched MP100 for the first time and wrote down my reactions to nearly every episode! I thought it'd be fun to share, even with them being small. I'm not fixing typos because I think it's funnier to show the full emotion I was feeling lol. This has to be my favorite anime of all time.

I unfortunately didn't write out for Season 1, but DID share some thoughts with friends:

I'm not finished watching, so please no spoilers, but DANG Mob Psycho 100 has to be one of the few shows I can NOT see the twists coming. /vpos (I'm on the final episode of season 1)

And I now see why Reigen's a fav. I didn't get it at first but now it's ASDFGHJKL

The way people talked about him, I went into the series expecting him to be a jerk or something. But it turns out he has a huge heart, kindness, and strong morals, while also being an odd mix of collected and confident or screaming and frantic.

Goes from being very expressive with his hands to -_-

Scam artist but "hey don't you dare hurt these kids I'm their guardian now and harming people is a low low idea"

and now he can see ghosts which is VERY fun

the end segment of the finale when he picked like, 2 tons (?) of mushrooms I was like "go autistic king"

they all autistic in different ways I can see it (mostly Mob and Reigen atm)

Now I binged liek 5 episodes when I was supposed to draw maaaaaaaaaan

SEASON 2

MP100 S2 E1 Reaction: I don't think I like Emi. Maybe there'll be a growth in future episodes, but DANG the "you don't have feelings" line gives me a very bad taste in my mouth. I did find it cool when Mob grabbed all the papers though. And Tsubomi watching from the sidelines is intriguing.

MP100 S2 E2 reaction: bad idea to watch that episode before bed last night, but luckily I didn't get nightmares lol

MP11 S2 E3 reaction: Dimple ace?? Reigen ace or ace adjacent?? Oh…the second half of this episode OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH I love Mob. I love Reigen. grarararrararara MY HEART Dimple's a little gremlin but his plan failed so it's better than fine

Episode 2 had me going "people said this season was better?" Second half of Episode 3 had me "UAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

MP100 S2, E4 reaction: Reigen is very observant. I found "Is he a chihuahua?" a little too funny. LITTLE GHOSTIE MOB IS SO CUTE?! I hope Mob gets out of this without fully changing who he is. Oh and Dimple protecting Shigeo's body is a W.

MP100 S2, E5 reaction: I giggled when Mob grew a flower on top of his head. And when he joked with Dimple with the little smile on my face, I verbally let out an "oh AWWW" and strtled my brother. The fight was cool, but Sheo with anime eyes is oddly enough unnerving XD "???%"???????????????? YOOOOOOO??? I love Mob so so much. Reigen feels iffy this episode, but I'm unsure if it's a front or not hmmm.

MP100 S2, E6 reaction: Yeah Reigen really messed up with Mob and I'm glad Mob is getting more confident and taking time to be a kid! And Dimple sticking with Mob is cool too. But DANG the scene with the emails and the computer as Reigen realized it was his birthday and he had no in-person friends? DANNNNNNNNG THAT HIT HARD. Both because it's close to home, and because the sound design and timing and layout of that scene was absolutely perfect and gut-wrenching.

MP100 S2, E7 reaction: OH I HAVE STRONG FEELINGS ABOUT THIS EPISODE OH MY GOSH????????? I didn't expect that ending and oh my gosh I'm stimming so much and I'm freaking CRYING. He's done it all because of Mob and Mob knew this WHOLE TIME. I knew he probably did, but saying he stuck around because he knew Reigen was "a good guy" OH MY GOOOOOOOOOSH MY HEART IS EXPLODING. They are friends, your honor. hey love and care for each other OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH.

I'm crying so hard oh my gosh

I haven't happy cried from shock like THIS since the DBH ending.

I got so caught up in the ending I forgot to mention I find it funny how this is the first show I've watched to not only acknowledge the existence of memes, but to verbally mention it. I also found all the social media logo parodies to be fun!

OH AND the first season outro whiteboard marker style making a return and becoming made IN COLOR was so so impactful.

MP100 S2, E8 reaction: I was gonna say how much I appreciate how Mob has such a strong support group now. And then that freaking ending. The fire. The corpses. What the FRICK.

MP100 S2, E9 reaction: Thank goodness. I kept telling myself they weren't real bodies but the fact I spent so long putting off the next episode [3 days] tells you something lol. Also now he can pinpoint exact locations and fly so that's cool. They've made a huge mistake messing with Mob oopsie. Oh phew the parents are just at a spa. Still don't think "daddy issues" is a good excuse for burning a home and placing fake bodies. I also loved Reigen and Dimple this episode. Poor Mob is so tired and shouldn't have to deal with all this ;^;

MP100 S2, E10 reaction: BODY IMPROVEMENT CLUB W!! Also some fun Dimple scenes let's gooooooo.

MP100 S2, E11 reaction: Mob now has an intimidating presence in the best way. I also LOVED his speech about creating things on your own. Reigen's self-defense punch made me wheeze out-loud. And that last "Dimple, stay with him" from Reigen has a tone that- oof.

MP100 S2, E12 reaction: VERY good episode. I adore Shigeo. He can take and give powers now eugh. I'm sorry, in the middle of a very serious scene, the "You're annoying. MP100 S3, E1 and 2 reaction: I don't have much to say about these yet except "Mob smiles" make me very happy <3

MP100 S3, E3 reaction: Chad Mob isn't real, it can't hurt you. Chab Mob . . . I don't have feelings about the monkey shirt but his pink hoodie is SO CUTE! Dimple looks creepy yeah. Also very worried why everyone's phones were out of service . . .

MP100 S3, E4 reaction: I watched it this morning, but? Fear.

MP100 S3, E5 reaction: Shigeo doesn't want to hurt Dimple and Dimple's making that verrrrrry difficult ;^;. I didn't expect the episode to end with the monkey shirt tbh. I still don't get it.

MP100 S3, E6 reaction: Oh. I did NOT expect this episode to hit hard. Mob and Dimple friends and Dimple just wanting to be SEEN? OUGH/pos. Mob walking away while Dimple makes an illusion of himself. Dimple carrying the broccoli into space. Mob CRYING in his blanket?????? Owwwwwwww.

MP100 S3, E7 reaction: Oh this is a fun one! I like Takenaka, and Mob smiles a lot in this episode. Plus, Reigen totallyyyyyyyy (/sar) not excited to drive a bunch of friends to see UFOs.

MP100 S3, E8 reaction: In general, this episode was super cute! I'm a sucker for friends just hanging out and doing weird things, especially this group. Inukawa being taken at the very end was funny at first, but the implications are ehhhhh and then he got kawaiified asdfghjkl.

MP100 S3, E9 reaction: In general, I loved this episode because I love when autistic-coded characters are able to unmask and Shigeo seems so happy! Of course, there was the ending…. I must have seen fanart or something, because as soon as I saw him at the crosswalk with flowers, I was filled with dread. The cat was saved and I was relieved, then immediately proven right. Guhhhhhhhhhhhh.

MP100 S3, E10 reaction: GUHHHHHHHHHHHH MOB DIED AND LEFT ONLY HIS POWERS BEHIND. This is gonna be an emotional doozy for sure. Teruki's battle with him and all Mob can do it watch. And the photo slowly sinking in for Reigen HURT.

Favorite Color: I like all colors, but I'm partial to yellows and greens. My room has a dark green accent wall with lots of gold, so. Best of both worlds.

Last Book: I'm currently listening to Percy Jackson: The Last Olympian. I never got to finish the second series, but it's been YEARS so I needed a refresher. And I love these books so much, but I'm glad to be on the last Percy book because the narrator is not good. He just isn't. It's bad. I need them to re-record them because my god.

Last Movie: Miracle on 34th Street. The one with Mara Wilson. It's cute but I was profoundly irritated with the assertion the movie makes that Christianity is the default American religion, so idk if I'll be watching it again aaaany time soon.

Last TV Show: I am currently watching an episode of The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy. It's like a docuseries documenting his adventures. I guess he's traditionally a terminal homebody so he started doing this to get out and see the world.

Sweet/Savory/Spicy: Spicy that's sweet. Like in Mexican candies. My favorite right now are tamarind flavor candies covered in tajin. It's so good.

Relationship Status: Single! It's been a few years since my last relationship, but honestly I'm okay with that. I had a LOT of growing to do that I didn't realize I had to do until a couple traumatic events occurred and I had some trauma responses rear their ugly heads. After several years of therapy I'm hitting the point where I'm ready to start dating again, but I'm weirdly in between jobs right now and I don't wanna be one of those unemployed people on a dating app. So I'm waiting till I'm in a more secure financial position so I can contribute to dates and being in a relationship.

Last Thing I Searched: "Man hand." I needed a drawing reference and my hands are not. Knuckley(?) enough. They look too...round, for lack of a better word.

Current Obsession: Pinterest has this fun new collage feature where you can collage images together and I've done several in the past few days. Which is nice cuz I've had some artist block, and I think it's helping me wanna do it in the 3D meat space again. I have weird feelings about it because art theft is rampant on Pinterest, but I'm not doing anything with them so I don't feel too bad. I'm just making them and sending them to friends if they're funny...which, y'know...most of them are because I can't take anything seriously.

Looking Forward To: I'm starting a tattoo apprenticeship (hopefully really soon). This is why I'm weirdly between jobs. I'm going crazy because I'm excited to start but it's not on my timeline rn so I have to be patient. But I have never been good at that. 🥲

I don't know if I have a favorite character of mine to draw, but the first character that popped into my head was Darragh, probably since I used to draw him A LOT & know how to draw him pretty well from all the times I've drawn him before! (I'm hoping to get a light board this holiday season so I can actually finish an updated version of his reference sheet soon!)

Question 3. The oldest OC that I have is my first OC! I haven't drawn her in a long time, but her name is Magic & she initially was one of those classic "character a child likes, so they barely recolor the character & call it their own;" the actual character was Spyro from the Skylanders series! (Yes, I love "Pug Spyro!") Initially, the only difference was that she had white accent colors instead of gold/bronze. As I got better at drawing & designing characters, I began to actually make her more original & less like Skylanders' Spyro (pictured below!)

The first drawing (which is actually the first drawing I ever made of her!) is from 2014, I think in April; I believe we were going on a school field-trip that day to a trampoline park as a reward for the good students? I drew her with no reference in class with my pencil & colored pencils on a piece of notebook paper! Whenever that day was, it was the day I decided to take art seriously & was the start of my journey to getting as good at drawing as I am today!

The second drawing is (I think) from around 2018 when I really started to try & make her legally distinct from Skylanders' Spyro; different shaped horns, fin-like ears, furred belly & (not pictured) tail tip (kinda like Banjo's)! I made that drawing with my old & cheap watercolor set on what (I think) is sketchbook watercolor paper; & yes, that tiny little portrait is in a tiny little picture frame!

The third drawing is a concept doodle for a 4.0 design for Magic from around 2021 or 2022? I never finalized the design, but the idea was to really change her body type into being more chubby & pear-shaped like some stuffed animals I have, as well as adding stars to her design since I think of her as my "spark of inspiration" for where I am now! Since I've been working on redesigning another dragon-like character of mine recently, perhaps I'll finally get around to finalizing Magic 4.0, who knows!

Everything's Different

A/N: This is based on the end of season 2, not the books, also I apologize I’m still new to writing these.

Summary: Nadia's still new to the Volkvolny, but she's certain of one thing - and that's how she feels about her.

It’s strange, being on the Volkvolny after everything that happened. I didn’t expect it, of course, but she changed my life in ways I couldn’t imagine a few years ago. The Darkling is gone, Alina is leading the second army, Nikolai Lantsov is King. Now I'm working on a privateer’s ship, chasing down slaving ships. Surrounded by some of the most dangerous people I've ever met - Tamar, Tolya, and Inej. Four people whose bad side I will avoid at all costs. Yet, they feel like family. I miss Adrik but I know he’s strong, and when the time came, all the cards were on the table, we fought and survived together. His true strength showed, even with only one arm.

It’s nearly 2 bells, and Tamar just finished her watch. The weather is mild, and it’s warm enough that I don't need a jacket. There’s nobody out on deck, and we’re sitting with our backs up against a few crates, taking a look up at the stars. I’ve never been this far from Ravka and I can see why people reject the Second Army, why they choose a different life. There’s no clouds to obscure our vision and the horizon stretches on and on. There’s thousands of stars out there, and Tamar seems to know all of the constellations and can point them out. 

“How do you remember them all?” I ask her. 

“I’ve been doing this for a while.” She grins. I love how easy her smiles come, how bright they are. Her hand reaches to link with mine, I intertwine our fingers. Hers are rough and calloused from the time she’s spent at sea. I haven’t known her too long but this feels right, this feels like where i’m meant to be and who i’m meant to be with. She keeps pointing out more constellations, their names and the stories behind them, but the words blur out as I’m looking at her profile. 

“Are you paying attention?” There’s a glimmer of amusement in her eyes. 

“I got a bit distracted.” I say, my cheeks flushing pink. Her hand moves and gently traces circles on my palm. 

“By what?” 

“You know.” 

“I want to hear you say it.” Her voice is low. A familiar sensation runs through me, maybe it's her tone, but my blood seems to rush straight down. She raises an eyebrow and I can tell she senses it. Heart renders. 

I roll my eyes, “distracted by you.” 

“Was that so hard?” 

I ignore her and turn my head back up to look at the stars. Her hand starts gently tracing up and down my arm, leaving goosebumps in its wake. I smile and lean into her, her arm coming up to wrap around my shoulders. This time her hand is tracing circles on my shoulder, moving my top aside so her hand is on my bare skin. I shift so my body is facing her, and let my hand trace circles on her thigh, my cheek pressed against her shoulder. I hear her breath catch as my hand moves up higher, but she doesn’t move to stop me. I let my nails scratch up and down her thigh, over her leather trousers. 

“What are you doing?” she asks 

“Nothing.” I smile sweetly 

“Mm. Sure.” Her hand cups my cheek, our eyes meet. Hers are unique, golden and tilted, and absolutely mesmerizing. Her thumb brushes across my cheek bone, her eyes drifting down to my lips, and back up to meet mine. My breath catches as her thumb drags across my bottom lip. Her face was so close I could smell the rum from rations earlier, on anyone else it might’ve been obnoxious but on her it was alluring and addicting. And sandalwood, she always seems to smell like sandalwood. It’s become one of my favorite scents. My heart beats faster, and her lips turn up at the corners. Our lips draw closer, bit by bit, until they’re just a hair's width away. I watch her eyes, and hers watch mine, I can see the desire in hers. My lips open slightly and my heads tilt and we meet in a soft and gentle kiss. Her hand cups the back of my neck and her kisses grow firmer. 

I let out an inelegant squeal when her hands grip my hips, shifting me so I’m on her lap, my legs straddling hers. I laugh and my hands meet around the back of her head to play with the hair at the nape of her neck. Her hands drift up and down my sides, before she leans up to kiss me again, our bodies notching perfectly into each other. I moan into her when her hand gently squeezes my ass, and she takes the chance to slip her tongue inside my mouth. I press into her further, and let my nails scratch up and down her back. I love the taste of toasted sugar on her tongue, and the rough, slightly chapped, feeling of her lips. 

There’s a creak of something on deck and I startle, leaning back, suddenly aware of our position and location, “anyone can see us.” I hiss. 

“They can’t see us here.”

“They could find us.” 

“So?” The smirk on her face is frustrating - the last thing I want is to be caught by anyone in this position, I'm still new here. I throw my head back and groan quietly. She takes the chance to lean forward and place gentle kisses on my neck. 

“Tamar.” I whisper, not making any move to stop her. 

“Tell me to stop.” She says, leaning back to meet my gaze. 

I don’t. That’s the last thing I want right now. She goes back to kissing my neck, biting and sucking to leave small bruises I'll bully her into healing after. My hands press on her back, drawing her in closer, and I can swear I feel her smile against me. I let our bodies melt together, and cup her face with my hands, pulling her back up so our lips can meet again. The kisses are soft and comforting, they feel like coming home. Quicker than I can blink, she flips us so i’m underneath her, her hips straddling mine, and my back pressed up against the crates. She winks at me before tracing her hands across the sides of my body, from my hips up around the curve of my breasts. My breath catches and she stands up, extending a hand to me. My jaw drops. 

“We should get back down below.” She says. 

“You’re kidding.” My face is incredulous, she’s going to leave it like this. 

“Nope.” She says with a wink, and I grumble before taking her hand, letting her pull me back up to my feet. 

We walk hand in hand back to our hammocks. “I’m mad at you.” I sigh.

Last week I started watching Yellowjackets

Since Succession is ending I will be left with nothing to watch regularly, and my bf is starting exams soon so we will not be able to hang out as much, I figured I'm going to need a replacement for my little solo evenings. I was ambivalent towards the pilot but it was entertaining regardless of my petty gripes with it so I kept watching (imagine my disappointment when I logged in the next day to see people shredding the season 2 finale). And last night I finished the first season and I just want to say so far this show blew my hair back. Like it got me staring at my screen, hand stuck in my hair, mouth hanging wide open. The plot got me thinking it was going to be some kind of 90s Survivor Euphoria with cannibalism, but it's really more like teenage Hannibal if it was Stranger Things for the kids, and Desperate Housewives in Orphan Black for the adults.

Initially I criticized it (in my head and my notes app) for not-great acting at times - I saw the post that said Juliette Lewis plays Natalie like she's constantly drunk and I can totally see it and it's kinda bugging me now - AND for playing too much music. Like, I appreciate needle drops when they have a purpose, but here I think the frequency is just excessive. I thought Nicholas Britell has turned me into a spoiled TV watcher with the Succession soundtrack, but honestly there are times in Yellowjackets when I'd just prefer silence. Anyway, those things are too minor to matter in my watching experience at this point because the show is too good so I got over them quickly.

I have a lot of thoughts about it; first of all, is it ever revealed that Callie is really Jeff's daughter? Or that she's the daughter Shauna carried and birthed in the wilderness? So far I'm just not entirely convinced. It is not lost on me that she seems to have a wonky relationship with meat, so I wonder if there's more to that or not.

Second, we still don't know if Adam was for real with Shauna or if he had any hidden intentions. Like, okay, he wasn't involved with the blackmailing, and also he's dead now and apparently his friends and family are looking for him, but that still doesn't mean he was fully honest with Shauna about who he is/what he wants, especially because she caught him lying a few times already, and his whole existence around her was excessively coincidental. By the way, the whole Jeff thing with the blackmail and stealing Shauna's stuff and everything was SO FORCED and weird like I would have preferred the cheating arc instead of this goofy stretch.

Moreover, young Taissa is shown to be skeptical of Lottie's visions and Van's faith, but adult Taissa is implied to have used the cult symbol/sacrifice for professional gain - at least that's what I gathered from it. So I assume this means her skepticism will be dropped in s2 or her sleepwalking takes a freaky turn. I already believe Lottie actually saw her eating dirt in the forest at night and it wasn't a dream or a vision, because when Taissa was bathing with Van in the lake, Van points out how dirty her nails are, and Taissa doesn't know why.

So far Van and Misty seem to have joined Lottie's little church, and at the end of the last episode, Nat's former sponsor Suzie implies Lottie is connected to the blackmail and the kidnapping, and ofc the cult. But if Van, Misty, and Lottie were first in the cult, why is adult Misty apparently clueless about it? I feel like she of all people should have a slight idea, or should be able to draw a connection, even as a theory.

I'm concerned by how little everyone seems to care that Javi straight up disappeared while he was tripping on shrooms. I did think Adam was Javi for a split second (when Shauna goes to his house the second time, the shot of his face fades into a shot of Javi at doomcoming) but apparently that is not the case, and it was a complete stretch (mainly because Javi would not be much younger than Shauna, and also they would probably recognize each other as adults) but just a lightning bolt thought I had. I think perhaps he went to his father's burial place, or maybe the lake, but after the snowfall I have very little hope of him still being alive.

Speaking of snow, I think Jackie died way too soon and too suddenly. I thought the whole Shauna's pregnancy with Jeff's baby - secret thing would drag on for at least a little bit longer. Like, it was just ridiculous, but also I assume the girls who were at the reunion (and Travis) were the only ones that made it back home? Or maybe the rest just didn't come? I know there's an adult Van from what spoilers I accidentally read from s2, but I'm curious to find out why they don't *all* stay in touch.

Anyway, I am enjoying the hell out of it, Flight of the Bumblebee was one of the best TV episodes I've seen in a while, and I'm going to start s2 today, but I've seen people complain about it so I'm not sure if it's the drama in the show or straight up the quality of the season that they were complaining about. So I'm going in with lower expectations.

Decided to challenge myself by drawing every single TLK character out there, up until this point in time, and post it here. You can see the finished project on my main account, though I figured to post it on my tumblr just show I could proudly show off my work and a few of my head canons.

Here is all the zebras across TLK:

From the Lion Guard we're starting off with the golden zebra of the Backlands herself, queen Dhahabu(gold) with her two bodyguards, siblings Raha(contentment) and Starehe(comfort). Though still prideful and dramatic, Dhahabu has matured as a leader since Kion and his guard reached out to her for help during the dry season, in return helping her gain the confidence and kick in the butt to act as a true leader to her herd. She still maintains a friendly relationship with the Pridelands, even attending summits between neighboring territories/kingdoms to represent her home and herd, though never without her two closest zebra bodyguards by her side. This is the third time I've drawn Dhahabu, first in pencil, second time relying heavily on bases, and now more free-handed, and I'm very pleased with how far I've come.

Returning to the Pridelands, we come across the first leader, one of several zebra herds in the Pridelands' territory, Thurston(The Stone of Thor)/Thusi(brass-Zulu). Conceited, easily-spooked, and dim-witted, it's astonishing to many how Thurston is still alive, much less the leader of his own herd for several seasons now. However, whatever he does is working, and heck, he's manage to keep his herd alive for this long as well, though that might just be relying on the Lion Guard for protection and their nigh-infinite patience. Let's hope the current one lead by Vitani maintains the self-control and strength to not cause an unfortuanutely accident for his hilariously buffoonish stallion. Also I'm torn between using his real name and the 'Africanized' one, though I'm kinda partial to the original, despite how out of place it is. A bit surprising, though considering there's animals like Zazu with British accents in TLK, hyenas dropping Spanish words, and the entire Shakespeare literature used as the basis for the plot , I think I should be less surprised.

Though speaking of surprising is the fact that Thurston has a son, Kwato(hoof). Since zebra herds tend to have a lead stallion with several females and their foals, Thurston does actually have a few foals, though Kwato seems the most promising of his offspring. Though mischievous and energetic, he does listen well to authority and understands the value of respect gained through noble action and experience. Kwato got a bit of a redesign along with Hamu, given that zebra foals have more dark brown stripes that darken over time, as well as big roundish ears.

Edit: I did have in mind to do some next-gen characters soon, and for Thurston I decided to name two of his other foals Tristan and Howell. Given that Thurston's name comes from Thurston Howell of Gilligan's Island, I wanted to sort of keep the theme of bizarre, notably non-African names going.

Next one of the leaders of the zebra herds is a curious case with the female leader, Muhimu(important), present here with her son Hamu(desire). Giving birth to her son during a migration has made Muhimu quite cautious, as well as making her weaker, more tired, and stress after the return, though she still maintains a reliable, compassionate leading example for her herd, if not having to make her take more frequent rests and breaks. Her son is well-liked in the Pridelands among the other animals his age for his playfulness and amiable nature. He particularly gets along with Kwato from Thurston's herd, seeing him as a bit of a big brother.

Coming to our most recent zebra character addition, from the Disney Villiains: Scar vol 2 comic we have Elder/Agadi(old man). A wise and observant zebra, he leads his herd during Mufasa's time, and is one of the herds, like the wildebeest, to be worried about Scar's presence and what it meant for the future, a prediction that ultimately turned out to be right. His wife and mother of his son ends up killed shortly before Scar's coup, prompting him to step up as parent, much like the Great Prince and Bambi. Though his son is deeply hurt by the loss of his mother to the pride's hunting party, of which he was previously close friends of one of the cubs, having to deal with the notion of predator/prey and the Circle of Life's final step, while also feeling that he has been betrayed. Agadi is able to instill in his son the responsibility of being perceptive, open-minded, strong, and thoughtful, things he'll take on when he'll succeed his father, something he does rather suddenly when Scar and his hyenas target Agadi, as Agadi had been a strong critic of Scar's rule and behavior. His herd and son remember him fondly as they decide to flee the Pridelands to survive, eventually to return back after Simba's return.

Speaking of Agadi's son and the current leader of his herd, here's Lemuta(let it go), the zebra originally from the "King of the Beasts" draft, though I've decided to combine him with the colt from "A Great Team" and "Monkey Magic" and he later is the zebra in TLK2 that sings "disgrace" towards Kovu during his exile. Lemuta and Simba used to be childhood friends, however, being predator and prey, as they grew older, the bond became frayed, especially after Lemuta's mother was hunted by Sarabi. Though both knew about the separation between them, after that event both avoided each other, feeling too awkward and severed. When Simba years later as king returned, Lemuta was more of a neutral party, having his own herd and several foals by then. They have met up, but their relationship, if any, is more civil and courteous. I'll be honest, when searching for reference for how to do him, since he is only mentioned and no concept art exists of him(that and he is described as having a pink blotch on his nose), I came across seven different designs across all of TLK fandom, however, I'll tell you one thing that my version of Lemuta has that no other depiction has.... the first strand of hair on his crest is white instead of black... I'm so creative. I decided to give him a moody and upset, yet agreeable expression, demonstrating his lingering resentment, yet willingness for acceptance to do the right thing.

Next of is Lemuta's mate, which I have made Zarah/Zahra(radiant/fair) from "The Disguised Zebra". Unlike Lemuta, she has a much more positive view of lions, understanding that they are predators and necessary for a helpful ecosystem, but respects the current rulers, as in their youths they helped her cross dangerous predator-filled territory and back safely to her herd. Growing up, she would share her experience with Lemuta, trying to help expand his idea of how there can be good, bad, and neutral predators, although while he does understand and has come to accept what happened was nature's way, he still remains salty about it. Zahra often acts as mediator in herd disputes with him, though is lately feeling worried for him as he and the leader of the oryxes, Odera, have been quite vocal about their displeasure about Simba's redaction of Kovu's exile and the Outsiders' integration into the Ndona pride, as well as how his attitude has been affecting their foal.

Next up we have Zebby/Zebaki(mercury) from "Spots and Stripes". Zebaki is Agadi's son and Lemuta's half-brother. He too had a relationship with Simba and Nala, and helped save them from a pair of cheetahs which attacked them, thinking that in their painted forms they were zebras. He did understand his half-brother's resentment towards the lions after his mother was hunted and did try to be supportive of him throughout the years, though his personal dislike of predators is not as strong as Lemuta's, and actually has a slightly more pleasant relationship with Simba. He is allowed to remain in Lemuta's herd, to help with the population, though has been slowly getting to know Muhimu and her herd more, even helping sire Hamu with her, though she maintains the fact that she is lead zebra of the herd, even if he should join.

And with that, we say goodbye to all the plains zebras for now. There are technically three different species of zebra; plains, mountain, and Grevy's, the first two having their own subspecies, including the extinct quagga in the plains zebra's case, though I digress. Point is that plains zebras are the most common, widespread, and viewed across TLK media, and in real life. The other two zebras species have their own behavior, habitat/range, and appearances, and I will go into that while describing them.

Finishing up with the Pridelands zebras we have two mother/foal pairs, both which are Grevy's/imperial zebras. While plains zebras live mostly in grasslands and savanna woodland, aka 50+% of the Pridelands, Grevy's/imperial zebras live in more semi-arid savanna, typically form smaller herds and are more antisocial, and are more 'mule-like' then 'equine-like' in appearance compared to the other two, are the largest species, and have the tightest stripe patterns of the three. Starting up from "Zebra Crossing" and we have Grevy's zebras Milia(stripes) and her son Punda(donkey). A bit of an odd pair, their herd migrated alongside the wildebeests. Punda had befriended Simba and Nala, though has not been seen since the migration. He's very cheery and playful, naive about what dangers the world possesses just yet. Milia is a graceful and gorgeous zebra, something she knows and is proud of. However, like most herbivores, she does have a disdain for predators, especially the two lion cubs that her son Punda has befriended. "Those are your future hunters, son. They won't always be fun and kind to be with when they're old enough to take you down for lunch." She does her best to try and protect him, even getting together with fellow herbivore and blue wildebeest Nyumbu, to provide a male role model and structure into his life. It does seem to work, as the three go on migration together and the two boys tale a liking to each other.

The next duo comes from 6NA's "How True, Zazu?", mother Muwa(sugarcane) and her son Sukari(sugar). Sukari is the last of the young animals to spread the rumors to discredit Zazu's name, only to regret his actions when they put both Zazu's credibility and the Pridelands in danger, in which he comes clean and takes on a temporary role as one of Zazu's info-gatherers. However since Scar's reign, he fled with his mother to lands elsewhere and has not been seen since.

Next up, starting with the Hakuna Matata magazine "Home, Sweet Home" we get some oasis, aka mountain zebras with Stripey/Sphiwe(gift-Afrikkans) and his mother/Zeyana(ornament-Afrikkans), in a herd with his half-brother Zak/Zakwani(thriving) from "Falling in Love". Mountain zebras differ in that they have bold stripes, pure white underbellies, and a noticeable dewlap, aka a noticeable flap of skin under the chin and on the neck. They are fond of more hill-y habitats, like mountain slopes and escarpments with a diversity of grass species. They also form smaller family herds, usually comprised of a single stallion and 1-5 mares with their offspring. This is the case with their herd, albeit larger then most herds, in which Sphiwe and Zakwani are two of his multiple foals sired by the head stallion. Sphiwe befriended Simba growing up in the Oasis, making him the fifth zebra colt to do so, though like Zuber, Zahra, and Punda his thoughts on Simba are positive, as Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa helped protect him and his herd from the trio of cheetahs from Lightfoot's coalition. Sphiwe, Zakwani, Zeyana, and their herd have remained friends with them, even after Simba grew up and left to go back.

Last on our list we have go back to plains zebras and into the Pridelands' past to meet Zebra/Nata(sticky) from "The Brightest Star". He was leader of his herd during the time of Mohatu, and much like his descendent Thurston, was very arrogant and conceited, though with a bit more aggression like his descendent Lemuta, as he was willing to endanger other animals in order to gain the advantage during a drought. When Mohatu found a new source of water and suggested they all behave in order to make the most of it to survive the drought, Nata reminded everyone of how the Selfish lion, one of Mohatu's species, broke the rule, hence forth why should any of they follow suit? This resulted in a riot with everyone rushing towards the water source, trampling and injuring each other to get there, only for Nata's actions to cause him get him trapped in quicksand around the surrounding area. Having to rely on others to get him out, he became more humbled and selfless in nature, agreeing to work with his fellow animals to help survive the drought, though this event does mark one of the notable riots/rebellions in the Pridelands history with the other Pridelands species rebelling against the lion ruler at the time.
