I still remember vividly cringing from secondhand embarrassment SO many times while reading BUT I wouldn't trade in that experience for anything- I fucking loved this fic. I don't know if I'd recommend this fic, but I definitely think you should read it, if you know what I mean. I'm VERY fond of it despite my extremely conflicted emotions. It's definitely not for everyone though.

Anyway I'm a little obsessed with this fic. There's a skeleton reader, who's a necromancer! The skeletons are thought to be gods, but actually they got isekai'd! It's a WILD RIDE and it's surprisingly good??? It feels like one of those webtoons or manga that you look at the cover/summary for and go *??????* at, but then you start reading it and go "OH, THIS IS REALLY FUN ACTUALLY."

There's pretty intense language barriers between the skeletons and the reader for a lot of the fic, but I love that sorta stuff, so that just makes it better for me lol. I adore the dynamics between the characters, they feel so diametrically opposed sometimes it's great.

— And then when it clicks that you can't see, he's facepalming so hard. You're not cool you're just blind and can't tell when he's provoking you. No matter, he'll just have to spell it out for you next time.

— If you're a slayer, Inosuke has a great deal of respect for you being able to kick demon butt despite your handicap. Then he thinks you're cool again :)))

— You'll notice that Inosuke holds onto your clothes a lot. Clutches your sleeve and tugs you around, or hangs onto your haori/kimono when you're out and about. He might not seem like the type to be a worry wart, but he is aware that your blindness makes you more vulnerable than others and is determined to be your eyes for you as often as he can. It's an unspoken thing.

— Has some slip-ups where he points at things and says "WOAH LOOK AT THAT!" only to see the strained expression Tanjiro's giving him and your blank one. "Oh right sorry."

— Prepare to be yanked out of the way by the wrist/clothing when danger comes your way. He might not be the most gentle about it, but he doesn't want you to get hurt.

— Kyojuro is insanely protective of you. Always has an arm locked with yours at all times to guide you around safely, it's subconscious at this point.

— Obviously, he can't always be there to help you since his Hashira work keeps him away for long periods, something he regrets deeply. He reminds you to always be careful when you have to part ways, and makes you promise not to do anything too dangerous while he's away.

— Oftentimes entrusts you with Senjuro, who is more than happy to be your eyes when Kyojuro can't. Though sometimes even his father can be seen guiding you around the house, looking all soft-like, not that you can see the gentle expression on his face. Kyojuro's heart swells in his chest at the sight of his family taking such good care of his partner.

— He'll bite his tongue if you're a slayer, though even you can tell he wants to say something sometimes. It's not that he finds you to be weak, he's just terrified of losing you. Training loads with him will put his heart at ease a little, being able to see firsthand just how capable you are despite being sightless. He really shouldn't be surprised, Gyomei was blind just as you are, and is the strongest of the Hashira.

— Kyojuro is always placing your hands on his face and kissing your palms, grinning from ear to ear when he makes you giggle successfully.

Cait and Maddie being a thing was NOT on my bingo card holy shit. Not understanding why there's hate on Maddie, I'm like 90% sure she didn't know that Cait and Vi had broken up, let alone were together! Cait the bed wasn't even cold and you moved on god damn.

Vander recognizing Jinx after seeing her and her bombs was so cute. Vander remembered Powder trying to make these working bombs and now can see her grown up with her bombs. And also wasn't expecting Vander and Silco knowing Felicia (Jinx and Vi's mom). They look so similar to their mother, it's insane. And Vander naming Violet! The tears omg.

The scene of Jinx and Vi reading the note between Vander and Silco was also so cool, especially the detail with the two sisters turning away from each other with the line saying "But it was on both of your hands." This shows attention to detail and its artwork is chef's kiss.

I will now be going on to call Vi's gauntlets her bitch mittens because that was hilarious.

The reunion between Vander, Jinx, and Vi healed me in a way I WASN'T EXPECTING. Jinx and Vi fighting like siblings was also so wholesome. Also Isha joining their little family was such an adorable detail.

RIOT WHEN I CATCH YOU FOR BREAKING MY HEART THAT LAST EPISODE! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID. I WILL FIND YOU AND RALLY THE REST OF THE FANDOM TO GET OUR LITTLE GIRL BACK. (I have a theory about jinx for act 3 ill post later)

since he's the first LI introduced, i had a lot of scenes noted down for tomohiro from the beginning. the challenge is just balancing it with the other LIs and making sure the progression is slow and natural.

i'm glad my story could portray a different worldview that people don't normally see in romance fics like this! i wanted to capture a "boys will be boys" vibe with this one and used interactions between my own irl male friends as references, both good and bad.

i think a lot of us women have this standard of perfect prince charming type men in a similar fashion to how men have a standard for perfect princess-like women, both of which are just fantasies. nothing wrong with wanting such an ideal, but i like characters with a bit more dimensionality and flaws. something more than "he's cold and emotionally constipated"

i do have a maid dress chapter in mind, but more for yanagi instead (and another one for kotose). Since I had free time recently, I wanted to practice drawing from one of the pics I saved in the pinterest folder and here this is. i feel like i always draw yanagi with diego brando in mind

Going through older art, I ran across the Saran holding Vika's face compilation, and found something fairly neat. While Saran is always reaching out to Vika (funny enough, he tends to reach out only with his hands (and tentacles lol)) the few times Vika is holding onto him, it's mostly full body!! The contrast is pretty neat imo, is there a reason behind these differences? Was it planned?

While Saran might seem clingy (he's usually the one reaching out after all) his hold is a lot lighter than what Vika does the times it is him!! Settling on top of Saran, clinging like a Koala, he always seems to go as full body as he can compared to Saran whose hold is looser the majority of the cuddle images

(Also- thing that I noticed while going through the older asks, SARAN HAD AN OCTOPLUSHY HIMSELF AS A CHILD! In the panel with his family there's a tentacled stuffy! That's so cute! Does he even remember that? I find hilarious that Vika, who wouldn't be aware of that unless told by Saran, bought himself a similar toy years down the line)

saran is a vengeful creature and violence isnt an unknown thing to him (dishing it out but also receiving it, regarding his violent death specifically) but he touches and handles vika with such care and softness in contrast to his nature (as if hes worried he breaks). ofc theres times he touches him with a bit more force (not bad force, more like when he squishes his face for example) and he always makes sure theres pressure and weight behind it

meanwhile vika is touchstarved; he loves and craves physical contact, as often and much as possible. when hes touching saran, most of the time its full body contact since he can actually feel saran. hes soaking it all up, hes like a huge dog tackling his owner and being unable to control his strength properly kjbjk

( Like she would almost get hit by a car, incoming ball to the face, tripping, accidentally falling down the stairs, bumping into furniture or people, and light poles, flower pots or signs almost falling on her. And not just her getting hurt but generally things that won’t work with her like a soda getting stuck in a vending machine, losing her wallet and opening a bag of chips but it gets ripped apart instead and falls over to the ground. )

So I was wondering if Mk, Redson and sun wukong actually found this out by hanging out with her and does everything to protect her or put her out of harms way? And maybe they secretly like her? ( I thought this idea was cute and funny so I hope it’ll be fun for you! )

☆ not harshly but he just wants you to be safe - so he does something to protect you (and embarrass you for scaring him with that whole road incident)

☆ he carries you everywhere, EVERYWHERE MAN... and he shows off a bit too the cheeky bastard - throws you up and down, does somersaults, carries you like a sack of potatoes just to embarrass you more

☆ he doesnt do this a lot though, with your luck? you two would probably be hit by an aeroplane

Waltz

An attempt has been made to write Law. That is all. Rating: SFW / e for everyone. Notes: Fluff, pining. Not beta-read, we die like men here. Characters: Law x gn!reader.

The music is as vibrant and lively as the crew's energy, bodies flowing and dancing in a rare moment of reprieve from sailing. Most of them are drunk and that makes their attempts to dance to any sort of rhythm hilariously bad.

You arent dancing though. You're content to watch the ensuing free entertainment provided generously by the Heart Pirates. At one point, you see Penguin try to perform a headstand and promptly fall flat on his face, to the resulting guffaws of his fellows.

"You aren't going to join them, [Name]-ya?" Law's smooth tones pull your attention away, tilting your head obligingly towards the captain.

You shrug, "Probably not, I dont recognize whatever dance they are trying to do." A bemused smile tugging at your lips as you gesture to the unsteady swaying and wiggling of the crew. "What about you? Wasn't Ikaku trying to get you to dance?"

Law huffs and shrugs a shoulder, "I dont dance." He dismisses blandly and feeling bold, leans slightly into your shoulder. You definitely do not mind the casual proximity and hum in nonverbal acceptance to his excuse.

You weren't officially part of the crew, even though Law had offered you a position, but now he was sort of grateful you hadn't accepted. You were a useful ally to have on standby, not only for your skills in battle but your intel gathering had proven exceptional. Having someone with your freedom to prowl the seas and get in and out of Navy bases without stirring trouble was invaluable.

It also meant that he didnt have to worry about letting his growing attachment to you get any more serious than a passing fancy. Sometimes though, he wondered.

The music shifted into lighter, flowier melodies and that makes the gathered pirates try to hook arms together and sway messily. You laugh as Ikaku tries to coax Shachi into slow dancing with her.

"So," you say casually, "you don't dance or you can't dance?" Peering over at Law and - had he been staring at you? - there's a twitch in his brow as he swiftly glances away. Oh, was he bashful? That was really cute to see.

"Why is it of any concern to you?" He retorts dryly but lacks any kind of irritation otherwise, shoving hands into the pockets of his jeans and jostling against your shoulder from the movement.

More laughter bubbles up and you slide your arm through his, shifting your weight to tug him along with you a few steps. He stumbles with a curse at your antics, "Come on, I can show you a few steps. I took profressional lessons back home." You coax him and are delighted he doesnt really resist, especially since you're leading him a few yards out of sight from the crew. As if you knew he didnt want anyone else to see such a thing.

"[Name]," there's an attempt to complain but Law cant find it in himself to get upset, he feels a bit too warm under the collar when you reach to take his other hand in yours. "When am I going to ever need to know this?" He sighs but does not resist whatsoever when you place his hand on your waist. Was his heart starting to race? A slight quicken in his chest but he doesnt try to pull away.

You smile winsomely at him, "Dancing can help one with swordplay, dont you know?"

"I fail to see the similarities," he deadpans to try and hide the flustered squirm in his stomach.

You weren't going to tease him for getting all red faced and twitchy; there was a lot you had noticed about Law over the past few months of being acquainted with him. The tentative way he tried to get close to you, the slight touches, how he never turned you away from late visits in his office. Finding ways to disturb his calm, collected rhythm had become something of a guilty pleasure of yours.

"Just follow my lead," you reply softly, hand on his shoulder and your other clasped with his. Slowly you tug him into the first step, "I'll count, it's just a pattern. One, two, three." You go through the motions of a waltz, repeating the count under your breath to keep him on track.

Law finds the rhythm quickly enough after a dozen missteps and muttered apologies when he accidentally steps on your foot. He wont admit it outloud but it was nice to hold you a little closer than he normally allowed, circling and circling with his eyes trained on your face. His frazzled nerves werent so easily assauged though, he didnt really know what to say in the moment and just listened to how you whispered 'one, two, three' like it was a melody all of its own.

When you unwind your hands and stretch out to do a twirl, then slowly step back towards him, Law curls his arm around you and pulls you flush to his chest. Your waltz comes to a halt, with him frozen and you watching with a tender smile on your lips. If he leaned in just a bit more, he could kiss you, if he felt daring enough.

"You learn fast," you murmur and tilt your head forward just enough to touch noses with him. "What do you think of more lessons, Law?" Oh it was a lot of fun to see him blushing just from proximity and the hushed quality of your voice.

Law collects enough of his composure to release you and step away, clearing his throat and ignoring the burning of his cheeks. "Aren't you leaving tomorrow to scout ahead?" He deflects, hands back in his pockets to try and forget the warmth of holding you. (He wont forget.)

"Whenever I loop back with the gang, I can still teach you. No pressure," you answer easily with a shrug, mentally stamping down the fluttering in your own stomach. "I should probably head off to bed, gotta leave early and all that." The moment had passed and you knew better than to stick around and make things awkward.

Too many words stick themselves in Law's throat as you turn to walk away; how often you leave him speechless could be made into a damn bingo card. And you'd win that bingo over and over too.

"[Name]-ya," he manages to unstick his tongue, "I'll uh, think about it. Have a goodnight."

You glance back and salute him playfully, "Aye sir, goodnight."
