I love talking to rabbis as a recent conversion student because the interaction goes something like, "you're converting? Now?! At this time, at this moment in history?!". And they always talk about this influx of jewish convert students they've seen recently, and it's like...
There's this level of respect I get from rabbis for converting at this point in time, but... Has there ever been a good time to be a jew in the last thousand years or so plus? I'm imagining that rabbis and jews in general back in 1492, back in 1290, back in 1349 would have said the exact same thing. So, really, there is only a time to be a jew. Maybe it's not a "good" time, yes, but it is a time. And to me, that's good enough

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™
Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.
Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.
We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.
And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.
It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?
Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Greetings, I have been putting together my mind for this one for quite awhile now. So, I hope my thoughts will be readable.
I'm constantly screaming on the inside about 37phi. How 37 didn't care that Sophia was an irrational number, how the only opinion that 37 cares about is Sophia's, how 37 and Sophia love each other and miss each other. I'm pretty sure that whenever 37 hangs out with the Laplace gang she just mentions Sophia unpromted, like:
37: I miss my wife guys, I miss her a lot.
(The shock they must've felt when they learned that Sophia is manus preacher)
MedPocket might actually be very mad every time she talks about Sophia ("We get it you are yearning for your "besty" pls stop!")
The funniest thing about this whole situation is... 37 doesn't realize that she's in love, she doesn't get it. Yeah her feelings about her friends and Sophia are different, but Sophia is her childhood friend! And it's first time she's been separated from her like that! It's totally normal to feel like you lost significant part of yourself and the most cherished person, right?
The other thing that doesn't help, the fact that 37 might be on aromantic spectre, so her feelings are a bit different than usual love.
With Sophia in manus happening same situations, but forget me not wants to shoot himself (he thought he was free from lesbians with Schneider's and Isolde's betrayals, but here he is, witnessing another hopeless romantic in love). And yes Sophia does miss 37 as much as she does Sophia. We get these hints from "goodbye" ep and trailer for phototaxis.
Also I find amusing that Sophia was constantly worried about bothering 37, when girl literally would abandon everything she was doing just to hang out with Sophia. On the other side, only Sophia's opinion was valuable to 37, like what was showed us in 37's character story when ch5 came out. They can't think of anything other than each other. I'll think some more later, if of course I won't be consumed by brainrot
I do admit I can sense that sort of obliviousness from 37. Not only has she never been exposed to those feelings of love, but she also seems pretty dense to the obvious. She certainly didn't mind that Sophia would slow down her progress because seeing her made her happy every single time.
Even now that she misses Sophia, there's still that barrier that she doesn't even know exists. She talks about Sophia more fondly than you would talk about a friend, less aware of her feelings than you would to a lover. She still doesn't really understand why Sophia left, and I'm almost 100% sure she didn't understand what Sophia meant by her last words to 37.
It's a fun ship to dissect. Unlike Isokania, they were not doomed by the narrative, they doomed themselves.
Like you said, 37 didn't care about Sophia's soul number, and the only person worth slowing down her progress is Sophia. But maybe Sophia didn't just think about 37 during her decision, had she not been preyed upon by Arcana as soon as she broke down, she would have been able to realize that 37 always knew and never cared. She still held Sophia as highly (if not higher) inside her heart. But of course, Arcana is a lesbian collector.
It's sort of a "Doomed by our decisions, doomed by what we didn't know" situation.
I love her anecdote because in almost every chapter, 37 would mention Sophia once. "Though without Sophia to comb my hair", "Sophia would always ask 'am I disturbing you, 37?'. To tell the truth, her visits did sometimes slow down my progress, but research can always continue later. The truth is, I was happy she came to see me"
She mentions Sophia dearly, but you can always tell there's a wall of obliviousness as she does.
Fucking lesbians, why can't any of you practice self-communication? (At least 37phi tragedy could have been avoided if the malicious evil horse hadn't appeared)
And yes, I can absolutely picture FMN sitting there, sighing as Sophia ominously mentions 37 as much as 37 mentions Sophia.
MedPoc, Mesmer and X have to deal with 37 sneaking in Sophia into her every conversation and the lack of Sophia's presence to translate her cryptic thoughts would always be seen through her 59 mentions of Sophia.
FMN having to sit through Sophia's monologue about 37 and how sometimes she misses her but this is not only the best for her but for the future and so on.
You can never escape the "ex girlfriends that still miss each other" thing.

What if I say that Peter Spankoffski's are infodumping and gift giving?
What if I say that Grace Chasity's love languages are quality time and words of affirmation?
What if-?

Slowly, his limp pronounced but his back straight, Kaz made his way down the final flight of stairs, leaning heavily on the banister. When he reached the bottom, the remaining crowd parted.
Haskell’s grizzled face was red with fear and indignation. “You’ll never last, boy. Takes more than what you got to get past Pekka Rollins.”
Kaz snatched his cane from Per Haskell’s hand.
“You have two minutes to get out of my house, old man. This city’s price is blood,” said Kaz, “and I’m happy to pay with yours.

while i know the game tries to point-blank say the south fell entirely to the blight in an effort to likely set up a soft world-reboot for future matters, as far as my own canon, i diverge pretty heavily from that in veilguard and post-veilguard verses.
as long as it's happening in a world where Regin is inquisitor, there's a couple of very important things that apply to my thedosian canon (whether or not Litriu is this world's hero of ferelden, but i do default to li being the HOF when Regin is Inquisitor. it just helps me streamline how i want the world to be working.)
for starters, Litriu and a handful of 'her' wardens defied the First Warden's orders, and did not recall to weisshaupt. they remained in vigil's keep and amaranthine to help combat the Blight, because Litriu has been using vigil's keep as the place she returns to ever since the events of Awakening. She's been traversing all of Thedas looking for a cute for the Blight and the Calling (and reminder that in her own canon/my canon, she IS successful through the use of great dragon blood that she obtains in the wilds of Antiva, and secretly begins distributing, first to her own wardens and companions, and then to the Order after the events of Veilguard (or has distributed, depending on how things end for her with Veilguard). So, during the events of Veilguard, Amaranthine functions almost as a forward-camp, a bastion for those helping to combat the evanuris and the Blight, and is run by Litriu or by a chosen Second.
furthermore, through the events of Inquisition, Regin placed Briala in power- and also gained a lot of blackmail material and information that she'll be able to leverage. she placed leliana (hardened) into the position as divine, and all of this was essentially her setting up with one goal in mind-
pressuring briala and gaspard into returning the Dales to elvhen sovereignty. (by which I mean; the Exalted Plains, the emprise du lion, and the Emerald Graves.) by using her own almost 'deified' identity as inquisitor and chantry-figure, the weight of the divine, this IS successful- though it takes time and does result in multiple assassination attempts against herself and against Briala and Gaspard. she may have only learned to play chess during Inquisition, but she learned well- and set up a hell of a long endgame, to ensure that even if she died in the process, the Dales returned to the elves. it's why at TIMES in conversations with chantry-officials during Inquisition, Regin would neither confirm nor deny anything to do with Andraste or the Maker after being made Inquisitor.
anyways.
during the events of Veilguard, Denerim falls as do most eastern Ferelden cities- i imagine that the forces of the Evanuris didn't just sweep down from the North and blanket the continent; i feel like they would have made almost more of a pincer-movement, the horrors of the Blight creeping out of the Brecilian forest alongside agents like the Antaam or Venatori, taking the easternmost border of ferelden entirely and sweeping west- whilst forces from the evanuris did the same thing on the northwesternmost side of Orlais - surging down as an incursion from the Anderfels and swept east, with the intent of meeting in the middle.
the city of Amaranthine also falls again and is burned to rout the Blight and to try and belay the surge of the Blight, but only Vigil's Keep ends up spared that awful fate. redcliffe doesn't entirely fall but is badly damaged by the Blight and is left only about half-habitable. Regin and Morrigan use their connections through the Crossroads and Eluvians to strategize with Litriu and with Orzammar, and they end up making an almost 'perimeter' with manpower, magic, wards and stone- about half of the Hinterlands (the westernmost half), parts of the Korcari wilds, and the entirety of the Frostback mountains and basin serve as the perimeter- that is the line that they keep the Blight off of at all costs, keeping Skyhold as the main place to protect refugees. this is mostly successful, beyond small scars of the land where the Blight and its' agents of corruption did manage to encroach before being burned out. anora does not fall with denerim and she escapes to either redcliffe (which she then uses as her own base of operations, coordinating with Li and with Regin) or she uses it as a waypoint before falling back to Skyhold entirely. much of ferelden's army does manage to recover themselves within redcliffe- i would say about 35-40% of ferelden's army is lost when Denerim falls. Crestwood is somehow spared from entire corruption and ruin, but the storm coast is very nearly consumed. Lothering is lost, as is the majority of the Bannorn- however while Amaranthine is ruined and Vigil's Keep is protected, Highever manages to remain standing, though only barely. West Hill and most of the Storm Coast are consumed by the Blight- and the Fallow Mire is almost entirely covered in it, the land buried beneath the rot and tendrils.
as far as Orlais' side of the map goes- the Dales themselves are the perimeter, because the Evanuris moved so fast that Regin and her forces were not able to organize quickly enough to stop that encroachment- the world after all in the events of the last Exalted Council of Halamshiral had done its' absolute best to strip the Inquisitor of all of the power they'd begged her to take, and thus she didn't have enough forces or legitimacy until after Val Royeaux had already fallen- and Gaspard with it, though Briala was able to escape and breach the eluvians with a small force to warn Regin and set things into motion. The Dales themselves (the plains, the emprise du lion, and the emerald graves) alongside part of the Armor Wilds serve as the perimeter- are where the borders are set into place to keep back the Blight. There are scattered pockets and cities/villages in Orlais that do not fall- the map isn't entirely wiped clean with corruption and ruin- but the majority of Orlais is laid to waste- the evanuris focused more heavily upon Orlais than Ferelden in my opinion, due to the events of the world that they've watched- and i don't think they did this in any way to 'avenge' the elvhen, but out of rage that Orlais, like Tevinter, try to model itself in THEIR image but claim all of it to come from its' own mind and inspiration rather than admitting how much of their culture and structure were scavenged from the carcass of the empire that they built.
regin works with morrigan, litriu, briala, leliana, (gods i love women LMAO) and with rook to maintain these borders, using Skyhold as a base of operation, but keeping herself moving almost constantly, so that no one can ever be sure of where she is long enough for an organized attempt at 'cutting off the head' of the Southern resistance. as such she will also, at times, join Rook in the Lighthouse for strategy and for debriefing of information so that they can keep as up-to-date as possible and keep the flow of information moving between them. she ALSO, at times, will join Rook in the field so that she can keep apprised of movements of the factions that are most heavily operating in the north and in the monsters and tactics the evanuris are using.
after the end of Veilguard, much of the Blight recedes- it calcifies and dies in many places, though not all. i think it does in a way become easier to cure using litriu's discovery of the great dragonsblood- perhaps to the point that high dragon blood could also be used, if not as a total-cure than as a 'management' substance until that which can cure it can be introduced. orlais and ferelden are respectively about 70% and 55% ravaged by the Blight and the scars are deep- but they will recover.
Skyhold itself is untouched, mercifully, and remains strong and proud- but Orlais is left with the entire ruling bloodline wiped out, and Ferelden having to rebuild almost its' entire infrastructure and seats of power.
orzammar fares the best, i think. they neither lost their seat of power nor their ruling family and bloodline, and their efforts alongside regin and the inquisition establish them firmly with the entire south owing them a rather massive debt.

ok yknow what else. I am so glad they're acknowledging the 180. I haven't really voiced this cuz I was otherwise so excited for this season but I really was on the verge of indignation about them just deciding to make gabriel a goofy sidekick after he was literally the biggest villain of season 1. it really felt like they weren't willing to acknowledge just how much pain he's actually caused aziraphale and crowley and, to be honest, it seemed a little out of the blue that aziraphale would try to help him. but no. they're actually talking about it. it's a central point of conflict for them that crowley rightfully wants nothing to do with this because it's GABRIEL, he tried to kill aziraphale, he's still understandably terrified that heaven will try to hurt him again, and now he wants this guy nowhere near either of them, and cannot understand why aziraphale would have him in his bookship after what he's done. and as for why aziraphale wants to help him, that seems like it's actually going to be explored rather than just accepted for the sake of the plot moving forward. not only have they not forgotten just what gabriel did or tried to do last season, they're placing that lasting fear and apprehension towards him front and centre and are going to have aziraphale and crowley conflict over whether or not he deserves their help. I'm honestly so relieved because I had always been staunchly anti-gabriel and never really enjoyed the fandom's overly jovial attitude towards him, and was genuinely really skeptical when it seemed they were going to make him a sympathetic character in the new season, especially since the trailer played the comedic angle for all it was worth. but it's not just absurdity for absurdity's sake. it's actually something for our main couple to work through. the writing knows this is a difficult shift in dynamic to contend with. and they're directly employing it as an obstacle for aziraphale and crowley. it's really good and it's put a lot of my worries about the overall tone and messaging of this season to rest

I was just thinking and... Artemis is not kind. yes, for all his friendliness, and all the fancy and amicable language and behaviors he displays outwardly to just about everyone who enters his shop... he's not genuinely nice. Artemis is a demon. in any verse of his, he used to be something akin to a spirit/god of LOVE, but was twisted into Wrath, or Hatred - which is the opposite. After leaving the pits of hell, having his little demonic tantrum and breakdown and finally growing weary and finding some semblance of clarity, he's grown out of what he was once again, and became something new. He's still wrathful, hateful, angry, and morose, but now he's so much more without even realizing. He's evolved and will continue to do so over time even if he stagnates for decades, centuries even. The friendships and relationships with other muses that he develops will influence his personality and the way he views things in time, as we've seen it happen already countless times ofc! And for those who did earn his respect and care, he does truly care for them and would gladly go out of his way for them (to what degree depends entirely on the level of closeness). But again.... Artemis is not kind, by nature and he hasn't been for a very, very long time. He was genuinely just plain and simple EVIL He was a villain - a monster, unrecognizable to how he acts now- doing horrible, unspeakable deeds for the pleasure of it. It's how he got the bones he wears in and on his body. So while he might be polite, charming even, and friendly - if he does not know you... he doesn't care about you nor what happens to you. If say for example, he sees you wandering that ruined cityside he lives in - rampant with entities that prey on the Living - and he saves you from being taken by evil spirits or demons? Chances are good that he did it for himself, or to be spiteful - to deny the other entities their prize (you / your soul). If he doesn't know you, the likelihood that he'll go out of his way for you is very low. But if there's something in it for him, some kind of reason as to why it might be worth his time and energy to actually step in... he might! But like all demons, it's good to be wary and to assume he doesn't care about you or your well-being, at least at first!! Artemis is not nice, but that doesn't mean he's malicious or cruel (anymore. not intentionally - he's quite literally under the mindset that he's just 'too old and tired for that nonsense'.) Artemis is manipulative, charming, cunning - he's everything you expect from a demon (though without a host, so he's certainly not attractive in any semblance of a conventional manner lmao - but he dresses well! and I think it's also telling just how-- *gestures at all that* --that he actually is, considering he's NOT attractive... but still puts people at ease, mostly, and can charm them to hell and back if he wanted to. He uses that not to manipulate people per say ?? like, he does not have an evil agenda by any means. He's just existing at this point, distanced from the gods and devils and just living his... life(?) if you can call it that. He's TRYING to do better. But he's still just... a demonic entity. A greater demon, for sure, if he had to be equated to some kind of level or whatever, but a demon nonetheless. But even for demons, there can be growth! and he is growing, very very slowly.
#( ramblings )#( ooc )#( tbd )#??#ANYWAY TLDR I just wanted to ramble a little#please don't assume he's going to like you or your muse at ALL. he's going to be FRIENDLY. because hes a GOOD BUSINESSMAN.#he's a shop owner!!! first and foremost!! that's his LIFE. that's what he DOES. it's his EVERYTHING. he uses his charm for THAT. not for#evil deeds anymore. its been decades. centuries. since he's been like that at all.#underneath the charming businessman persona he EXUDES is a morose grumpy damaged entity that is prickly and judgemental and hot and cold#expect little from him but push him for more.! he's not one to turn down a Good Conversation. but it will take time to genuinely get#anything sincere or substantial from him relationship wise because he genuinely sees so little value in deeper connections#or in getting close to others (he literally lost everyone he loved and was betrayed deeply to the point where his old self perished and#rotted into a puddle of despair in hell... literally)#BUT !! if one does manage to get through that thick fucking skull (...ha.) of his . well then you've got yourself a pretty fucking powerful#ally then dontcha? jfhjgjfjg#he won't believe you're worth his time half the time unless if benefits him. but he is at times plagued with moments of... curiosity.moment#flickers where he might SEEM like he cares a little bit. maybe he does. but he does not acknowledge it at all and it confuses him if he doe#somehow manage to recognize it for what it is. he's been deeply disconnected from himself for a long time. hes been Lost for even longer#he can be 'loving'/affectionate even/kind to those he genuinely has grown to care for. but that takes some time and work.#the guy is not a nice person. he'll kill you without remorse if you cause trouble for him as long as your death wont cause some kind#of backlash that he doesnt want to deal with or inconvenience in general to him.#but.... he also used to be the god of love. that god has been dead for a long time though. but !! but. but.#all is not lost. not always. sometimes he feels guilty for what he became and did to people who did not deserve it.#its why he still has the bones. and the souls of the people he killed. he'll never be a Good Person. he'll never be Eros again. but he'll b#something else... given time I suppose.#ANYWAY X2...... idk where the fuck......... but. nods. tips my hat. mhm. turns on a heel and jogs away without giving anything else--
