the next chapter is gonna be an interesting one to write because the excitement to finally give the catharsis of revenge is contrasted with the knowledge that this is not a healthy decision the brothers are making. like at all. like you can argue that it IS necessary because donnie did piss off more than one witch and they have no way of knowing who the FIRST guy was, so someone could just summon kitsune again so she needs to be taken care of to cut out the problem at the root

but also it is just not a healthy thing. that they are doing. but i guess that's one way to put their trauma front and center now that things are looking up for donnie, because i do think everything that happened has desensitized them to violence in a kind of unsafe way. what they did to donnie is gonna fuck them up for good but i think going after kitsune, fully in their right minds, with the intent to kill is going to mark them irrevocably. i mean.......slay though

General thoughts: Ive given them in my previous design sheet (you can find it in my blog)(tldr: designs match characters but still childish, 8-12 years old). Only thing different here, is that these eggs were eggs who I had less of a clear idea of what I wanted to do with them (though I still really liked where I ended up!!)

Empanada: Didnt want to go for the full sweet lolita route, mostly because I thought it'd take away the "little kidness" of it all, but something that still resembles the aesthetic. She's wearing "carneirinhos" (idk the name in english) which is very cute little girl to me, and shes also a demon! Her tail resembles a frying pan!! Though I might change her fringe (it was supposed to be baby hairs but now that I think about it, her type of hair probably wouldnt have them) and put some argyle pattern in her sweater vest. I just forgor💀 to do that...I also wish I had made her shorter, but unfortunetely I drew this before the eggs did the height check (YES ITS BEEN THAT LONG).

Sunny: My beautiful baby girl. She means the world to me. I love this minecraft egg with all my heart. Shes wearing Light up sketchers and some fairy wings like Pomme, and shes actually wearing a swimsuit, she just put a tutu over it. The diamonds they're always holding are rings, they have a "terere" in their hair (idk name in english😭😭) and the beads were inspired by an artist on twt (@\BLUETOMATOSODA). Also if you are wondering why her hair looks like tentacles, its because I had originally made it puffy, but changed my mind after doing the lineart, so i had to get creative with me covering it up. Just pretend she has a fan, shes a star after all!

Pepito: Basically, he is very smoll. Chiquito even. He has strawberry hair and MASSIVE glasses that take up his entire face. Hes wearing a swimsuit aswell (dont ask how it works idk either), and has floaties since he cant swim. Hes got crocs, since flip flops hurt his toes, with a spider man charm on them! Also hes got a sunhat, mostly cause I wanted some other accessorie but didnt want to go with gas mask since it'd kinda kill the whole swimming vibe (since his model is wearing a swimsuit). sorry if its not too accurate to his character. Side note: Him, Em and Sunny all have freckles! Him and Sunny all over their bodies while Em just has on her cheeks.

Leo: Cute sporty vibe, love her shorty spiky hair. Wanted to try to make her face spiky aswell, for the whole shark dad thing. Shes got a necklace with a shark tooth (I guess she got it from Foolish??). He changes tshirts randomly, and opens and closes his attack on titan hoodie depending on the tshirt's expression (basically my version of Leo changing her player heads constantly). His trainers have dragon wings and also: whealies!!

Dapper: Im gonna be honest: did not expect to like his design THIS much. The colouring really elevated, with the long blue hair (the same colour as the ghosties!). Wanted to make them, y'know, dapper, so I had to sacrifice some of the "little kid vibes" unfortunetely, but I think it fits her still. The hat has part of the helmet that they used to wear a lot, demon horn to match Pomme, and a suit that is VERY inspired by Death the Kid from Soul Eater (very fitting for a reaper in training imo). Might be my favourite design!

Ramon: Jesus fuck you'd think designing your fav egg would be easy BUT NO. I struggled long and hard. Again, he doesnt have that much "little kid" vibe whatever man😭😭 Im just happy that I even managed to make SOMETHING. Hes got Create googles, his meathead is a massive hat that completely hides his hair. Very simple, very Ramon, though I will probably end up making a version with an ugly sweater just like he likes instead😔. I still like it but. man...

Akinene: Nene goes to sleep at the time Akito's waking up so she kisses him awake before passing out asleep at like 5am.

Akinene: Akito, he lives with a sister he can't live without tickle fights anymore. Nene is used to it due to Emu but she's not strong enough to ever win one

Mizushiho: Mizuki. Shiho always ends up pinning them down and tickling (and kissing) them senseless tho

Akinene: Nene, but i feel like they both like a time for themselves where they can relax with just them yknow, Nene usually brings it up though

Akinene: Akito doesn't have set work time but Nene usually does, so he tends to bring her lunch more often, she does the same when she has lunch time free

Mizushiho: Shiho, a similar reason as above, Shiho's work is practice and as they have Honami they rarely ever skip lunch, Honami always remembers the others, so Shiho ends up bringing Mizuki lunch during leo/needs break time because Mizuki 9 times out of 10 will be hyperfocusing and forgetting to eat

Akinene: both. Nene almost threw up before it. Akito made a bigger front and pretended he was confident though

Mizushiho: both, Shiho's panic was more subdue and she kept picking on her sleeves. Mizuki was screaming about which outfits to wear for three hours with Ena

obligatory disclaimer to all the "its just mc eggs its not that deep" people that this is about characters. we are allowed to post character analysis, even ones that arent positive, about fictional characters no matter what medium theyre from. this is 10000% about the characters, not the admins and there are moments i may not know about since i cant watch every pov but heres my thoughts on the sunny/leo "beef"

which it feels wrong, at this point, to even call it beef when its mostly one sided on leo's part and the adults are failing both sunny and leo

does leo have the right to be wary about the new eggs? 100%, absolutely

does that excuse her recent treatment of sunny? no

is leo to blame for her behavior? well, no, she's a child

do i think q!foolish and q!tubbo are good fathers? yes

did they both drop the ball in regards to this situation and should have handled it better? yes, but that doesnt mean its not too late now

again, i dont fault leo for being distrustful and cautious of the new eggs, its more than reasonable given what shes gone through. im glad she's warmed up to pepito and i think it's a good choice on foolish's part to not force her to interact with anyone she doesnt like while still encouraging her to try. that being said, i think he should say something to leo about how she has recently been treating sunny because it is quickly getting to the point where it is bullying, not "beef"

to be fair, maybe he hasnt seen [in character/roleplay] the extent to which she has treated sunny, and obviously none of the parents are aware of the baby fight club, but even then, someone should say something to leo if they see behavior similar to how leo treated sunny after the fight [although i believe foolish and roier are two of the only people she will actually listen to /neu] with that being said, i dont think foolish takes it very seriously and at the end day has a rather "well what can you do" type of mentality about it.

we know that leo is stubborn and can be a little hard headed, which is one of the reasons why i personally love her, but its been toeing the line in regards to sunny and i feel as though she crossed it during the baby fight club. sunny has been trying to take leo's feelings into consideration [among other eggs, such as tallulah, who excuse it as distrust of the new eggs despite being warm/neutral to both em and pepito while being harsher to sunny].

the fact that the fight ended and sunny was trying to leave when leo blocked the exit and continued to hit sunny shows that her feelings towards sunny are more than just apprehension. even ramon, leo's triplet, felt the need to step to in and separate them out of concern for sunny's well being.

i can also see the nuance of leo's behavior: its the first time where she has disliked someone and been forced to be in close vicinity/interact with them, and no one has taught her that this sort of behavior isnt ok so how is she supposed to know better?

its not an excuse by any means, but it doesnt make it any less bullying than it is. this is where the adults are failing not just sunny [by being bystanders] but theyre failing leo, too.

and sure, disagreements and fights between the eggs is interesting.. when it comes from both parties but when you have one egg--one child--who doesnt want to be around another egg child in consideration of their feelings while the other egg child vandalizes their things and hits them to the point of almost being downed--that's not a disagreement. thats bullying.

does leo have to like sunny? no

do i think that they have more in common and similar feelings of loneliness that they both dont realize, which could make way for a friendship? yes

would i mind if leo never warms up to sunny? no

its realistic. sometimes kids just.. dont get along and thats ok, its good to teach children that we arent going to get along with everyone or even like them [and not everyone is going to like us and we shouldnt try to force them to], but its also important to teach children that not liking somebody doesnt make it okay to treat them poorly or bully them.

in fact, this would be a really good situation in which both leo and sunny can learn the aforementioned, especially since their fathers are good friends that enjoy one another's company so i dont see them stopping hangouts anytime soon so leo and sunny will hopefully learn to, at the very least, be civil with one another. i hope this is the direction the story goes because a bully arc is one of the last things i personally want to watch

i understand its hard, especially when their first languages are not one that they share, but thats what the qsmp is all about, isnt it? coming together in spite of language barriers

im hoping the sunny/leo situation takes a turn for the better, even if it takes time to get to a point where they are mostly indifferent to one another w/o excessive antagonizing

with all that said, i will always have faith in the admins to give us their best, even if the outcome isnt what we wanted or expected

Leo

I used to be one of those people who wasn't as invested as Leo - Rise was my introduction as i mentioned last post and it was a bit of an adjustment to go from rise leo to regular leo of any other series, BUT that was how i used to feel, while Leo still isn't my favourite i dont really rank them either, hes just with the other 3 while the one true turtle stays elite, (more on that later) but ive grown to appreciate and really love leo's character across the iterations, a particular thing that helped this was a video talking about how rise leo makes sense as under the circumstances in which the rise kids were raised, a typical Leo trait could instead become a typical Rise!Leo trait, how the characters aren't as polar opposites as people assume. i dont remember who made the video but it was great - also 03 leo definitely helped this perception, i find the characterisation in 03 to be one of my favourites and Leo's definitely shines to me in that version. my general opinion of leo is that he can be a good character when used correctly, and sometimes iteration to iteration theres episodes and arcs where he's not written as well as he could be, but regardless he's a great character, is so nuanced and supremely fun to write angst about.

Donatello

damn it its later isn't it. typically in this type of format I'd leave my favourite for last but we're going on theme song order (most of them at least). i'm pretty stereotypical in that i watched rise, thought rise donnie was fantastic and watched the others and decided he was my favourite overall, the "we can't all be donatello" audio exists for a reason. I'm nowhere near as smart as pretty much any iteration of Donnie, i'm a dropout, i struggle with basic math frequently, i have insanely vivid mind images but the idea of figuring out how something will fall and domino effect makes my head hurt - i'm even more stereotypical as a donnie fan because im autistic and man. he's really just like that - i think iteration to iteration some of the other turtles fit the label more (03 raph for example) but overall the fandom has collectively agreed donnie's autistic and i see a fair few of my positive and negative autistic traits in the way people intrinsically write the character, we know rise donnie was written that way but do we know if batman donnie was? no, we don't, but still theres a way the character is done across most iterations that just screams it. articulating what i like about these characters is kind of hard without just outright listing the traits we all know them to have, but i think if i had to put it to something i'd just say that donatello toes the line in each generation between silliness and sincerity extremely well, he's an easy character to love. 03 donatello is ALSO an angst sponge.

Raph

raph kind of depends on the iteration for me, some of them are fine, theres not any ive come across that i outright dislike (i wont want the next mutation i wont do it), so basically some im neutral on and some i enjoy more. the ones i enjoy more are rise raph and 03 raph (fucking shocker. we see the theme right). Rise raph is, similar to the point about leo from that mysterious video, a really interesting exploration into the idea of what would happen if they were in a different environment, who would he grow up to be? rise raph shows his anger and his annnoyance frequently but hes also kind and patient, (ANGST-) hes just a really fun character. 03 raph i feel is the one true raph in my mind, mainly i just mean he feels the most raph of any of them, something about the boston accent fits Raphael's character ridiculously well. he also says yo mama in the show and i think thats beautiful.

Mikey

man i love mikey. i feel like he's kind of fighting donatello for my number one spot sometimes because he's just delightful, 03 mi- (the crowd boos) rude. 03 mikey really shines in the trait that all mikey's possess which is that they love their family. the genderfluid implications in 03 are also pretty great. Similarly to the traits all the characters having sort of similar voices across (besides rise and now Tales) but especially mikey, who usually has a surfer bro voice in movies and shows. genuinely curious to see what they do with that in the ronin movie and game. Mikey can be angsty but i prefer when he's happy, rare take from me. Mikey has stayed fairly consistent, mostly just amping up his intensity up until rise, rise mikey was wild don't get me wrong but there were some differences that i felt distinguished him from other mikeys, and now thats continuing with tales with not only mikey but all of the turtles, and for me its a nice change, as much as i love the other mikey's he can't stay static, only changing based in what decade he's being written in forever, its fun to see him change a little more than usual, i would say he's up there fighting for donnie's spot mostly because i just relate to him a lot in most iterations, being the supposed 'dumb one', loving comics, loving food and in some iterations being a shitty cook despite that, he's just super relatable.

Mirage has been to fancy restaurants before, even if its not really her scene. She's gone for her friend's birthday dinners, and maybe even for her own. But Sasha and Neech taking her to one for a date??

First off, this is her first relationship. Being far too used to casual flings or situationships, those didn't necessarily call for dates at fancy places.. so this is kinda huge for Miri. But its with them and she knows there's nothing for her to be nervous about when it comes to them, I think she's more so worried about sticking out like a sore thumb. She worries about what to wear, how to Look, certainly she shouldn't stick to those animal print or colorful mini dresses she loves-- she doesn't want to look like the girl they picked off a dating app, Mirage wants to look like their girlfriend because that's what she is.

Its not really a fight, Sasha and Neech don't fight. It's more of a disagreement and argument. The first time probably during the process of Sasha mentoring Anetra and her little brother, probably a biting comment Neech would've made to someone in the capitol or for pushing off the career tribute and getting a few kicks in him for messing with her brother in the training center. She wasn't supposed to show off any of her abilities until she was in the arena but she wasn't going to let anyone lay a hand on her brother as long as she was there.

Sasha's a Leo and it shows. She's a possessive kind of jealous, even if she knows and would never doubt Anetra and Mirage's love for her. That being said, whats hers is hers. She's observant and knows the signs of someone flirting with whats hers. When it comes to Anetra she makes her way to him, wraps a hand around his bicep or kisses his jaw... When its Mirage she'll let the girl have her fun, they know how Miri's always been sociable, that on nights out she practically gets drinks for free.

She loves to dance and her stamina lasts much longer than theirs so its more than okay for her to dance with other people. like literally i dont think any one piece of media has ever made me so joyful! It just just so beautiful. Visually its so pretty, thematically it toes (tows?) the line of realistic and comforting really well (at least for me), the acting is incredible - especially considering the age of the actors, and the constant unapolagetic queerness that is so obvoiusly written by queer people is so refreshing and just .. nice to see. Nick saying 'im bi, actually' so many times was heartwarming and - as someone who is bi themself - it was so nice to see that the only time the usual bi stereotypes were presented was through nicks anxiety (and also ben). I had already read the comics so it was so cool to see how effective this adaptation is continuing to be. the final few scenes of episode 6 have altered me as a human being and are like a visual form of pure nostalgia and comfort. the taylor song in there is so gorgeous. and speaking of songs the entire soundtrack was perfect (like they understand the vibe and the target audience) and had me doing the leo dicaprio pointing meme constantly. I also watched both seasons several times in the last few weeks and probably will rewatch for the rest of my life tbh. I cannot wait for the next season. anyway yea

I 100% agree I just watch this show or read the comics and I am smiling uncontrollably and just feel so warm and comforted and happy it's insane!! It’s somewhere around one month into this contract (he has already lost track of time), and Leo has never hated himself more than he hates himself right now. The door opens, but Leo’s eyes do not leave the light.

“You did well tonight.” The accent is thick, recognizable immediately as Petrov’s. Leo's grip on the table tightens, doubling down to keep himself from acting in any way. Maybe, under the surface, it's to keep himself from shaking.

Petrov walks closer, until he stands directly in Leo’s sight line, and says, “Nothing to say?”

Leo swallows, and his eyes finally meet Petrov’s. “Thank you, sir.”

Petrov half-scoffs half-laughs and pats Leo's head, just a little on the rough side of lovingly, and moves to the cabinet. He pulls an array of supplies out, nonchalantly setting them on the tray. Leo doesn’t look. He doesn’t want to know.

“Give me your hand,” Petrov says, dragging the tray behind him.

He doesn’t wait for Leo to respond. Instead, he picks up a bottle of... what Leo can only guess is alcohol, and opens it, inclining it toward Leo's mouth in offering. Leo eyes it cautiously but takes it, pulling in one quick mouthful of vodka as Petrov grabs his hand, presses his fingers down into a fist, turns his wrist to see the extent of his wounds. They’re superficial tonight, Leo thinks. Petrov will probably change that.

“This might hurt,” Petrov says, and Leo closes his eyes. He knows this game well enough. He holds his hand still as Petrov takes his own drink, and he counts and counts and counts. “Open your eyes, Leo,” he hears eventually.

With a sharp breath, he does. Petrov holds the bottle just above his bloodied knuckles, and Leo adjusts his grip on the table with his free hand.

“Good boy,” Petrov says. “I like to see those eyes.”

Leo nods, swallowing. “I’m sorry, s–“

Petrov tips the bottle, letting the liquid pour free. What starts as a hiss, a sharp intake of a breath, quickly worsens. Petrov’s grip is tight on Leo’s hand. His toes curl, he back arches away from the source of the pain, and his free hand acts a brace to keep him as still as he can be.

“Ahh,” Leo cries out, as softly as he can. His teeth grind together and he feels tears, unwelcome and hot, pooling in his eyes. He’s on the verge of begging when finally, Petrov tilts the bottle upright.

“There we go,” Petrov says softly. “That’s better.”
