I think such a big reason my trans manhood feels almost... bigendered is simply because in the eyes of most people (specifically cis people with whom I interact with most), I straddle this weird line wherein I am a man and often am seen as one, but I am also clearly undefinable insofar as cis theory goes, clearly queer, clearly outside of manhood if one only accepts cishet, patriarchal manhood. This definitely used to be a source of dysphoria for me, but I think now that I've transitioned, it's been interesting to explore this more. Am I wholly a man? Yes. Am I a man of multitudes? Yes. Do these multitudes contradict? Well, that depends on your definition of "contradiction"

Fields of Mistria is SUPER fun, since there's not much to do in it after you've completed the first year right now, I've dedicated myself to breeding and collecting all the seasonal variants of horses so I can name them after the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

I also named all my barns after metamorphised lovers in greek myth because I have exactly one thought running through my head at any given point in time (Currently there's Crocus Coop where I keep my (gorgeous wonderful lovely adorable ouugh I LOVE THEMMM!!) blue chickens

Cypress Barn where I keep my wonderful cows (who have been with me the longest and whom I cherish immensely! I'm not sure if Autumn cows are possible but I'm definitely aiming for a barn of all red and autumnal cows for obvious reasons)

Minthe Barn where I keep all of my other large animals like sheep, alpacas and my very first beloved Chiron (black and white) and Iris (brown with spots) (the foal is Rigel) 🥺

And Hyacinthus Barn where I have a collection of small animals like rabbits, capybaras and my PRIZED DUCKS LEDA (the pretty blue and green duckie) AND CYCNUS (the pure white duck meant to mimic a swan!!) Even though it's technically a coop, I mistakenly labelled it a barn when I was inputting the name and I never changed it LOL

My farm is also named after THE metamorphosized lover, Daphne herself, so it's called Laurel Farm

And I'm planning for my Seasonal Horse barn to be named after the poplar since I quite like Leuke's story and I think she's fitting of housing the horses that will be the steeds of War, Pestilence, Conquest and Famine :)

Bonus: My house is still small and eclectically decorated, but keeping in theme with my farm, I do hope to go for a flower/garden theme

I mentioned before that some modified troopers were more wary than others about telling their Jedi generals about their specific mutation. This is born from abuse they received from trainers on Kamino, a sense of fear that others that aren’t their brothers will think they are monsters and need to be feared.

So when they first meet their Jedi generals, they don't bring it up or mention it. They still are trying to get a feel for their Jedi and the last thing they want is to scare them away.

Inevitably they will need to use their mutation, either to protect themselves or their battalions or in battle.

Anakin was absolutely amazed at Rex's ability when he first saw Rex use it. The captain was not expecting the list of questions and enthusiasm he received from his general at all, shocked that the man hadn't immediately transferred him off to a different battalion.

He was still too wary to tell Commander Tano when she joined them.

Commander Fox didn't have much use for his mutation when he was transferred from the frontlines to Coruscant. He did not inform the Chancellor or any senators he was in charge of protecting because he'd seen how his men were treated on the Capitol Planet. Even when it could save his own life he didn't use it.

so i may be a little bit stupid. as in this isnt the first time i saw your trans leon art of course. it's probably the second or third time. but when you posted your commission art post and reposted the leon pic w it it made me realise that. leon's body looks like me. and usually even no-op art has features that i don't have like pronounced body and facial hair but like... this pic made me realise that i don't have a girl's body i have a body. with tits on top like. i guess like cherry on the cake? like just a feature on top. idk it's a change of perspective that i really like and makes me feel so much better and i would have never come to that conclusion if it wasnt for your art. so thank you

that's not stupid. it's not really a popular perspective. things are getting a little better now i think, at least in trans spaces, about celebrating and loving our non-op non-conventional bodies. but when i was growing up trans (not even that long ago! im 26 in a few days!) there was nothing like this that i ever saw. and my body was a source of just. daily despair. for a long ass time. i'm not saying i don't still have bad days but it wasn't until i started exploring trans bodies in my art that were different from the post-op 'ideal ("acceptable") stealth trans guy' image that i could i start to envision a different future for myself, a possible future, one that's more inline with my present. more in line with me and what my body looks like. this is how i learned to make peace with my body. love it even. tits and all! this took years of work but i am so much more happy and content these days than i ever thought i could be in this body. all thanks to art. and daring to have that first thought of 'what if'.

so yeah. there's kind of a lot of weight behind what i do here and i'm honestly astonished that i have gotten very little backlash for it over the years. sometimes i'm met with confusion, but for the most part its all very positive and enthusiastic, because there are a lot of people out there who have bodies like you and me and i'm so happy i can offer strangers like you a piece of the peace i've made for myself. take care <3

kinda random but i think the biggest power fantasy i commonly see in fics doesn't have anything to do w superpowers or everyone liking the main character, it's living in adverse conditions and being able to work yourself out of them through sheer force of individual willpower.

i think it goes hand-in-hand with the absolutely unrealistic depiction of autodidactism, where you can learn everything perfectly well from books and youtube. it's the idea that you can just use hard work and knuckle through and eventually you'll come out the victor and also be leagues ahead of everyone.

it's understandable but telling that the most common depictions in fandom of abused or disadvantaged characters includes them being the best and most perfect person ever, and that they tend to get out of a situation by themselves, generally accompanied by a confrontation where they emerge as morally superior and everyone gawks at them and applauds their virtue.

i get the urge, but it's truly a fantasy, and i think the more challenging and ultimately empowering scenario is reaching out to others and being helped bit by bit. idk where exactly i'm going with this, but i guess my point is that no one actually lives in a vacuum.

I'm not normally a "fuck canon" kind of person but it's still wild to me that JRO said via word of god that Pharma's red rust plague wasn't designed for Tarn. Like what the fuck. Tarn trapped Pharma into a blackmail deal to give him free tcogs for his transformation addiction and Pharma designs a plague that activates on transformation and you're gonna try to tell me that Tarn wasn't in Pharma's mind when he made it like that? How can you NOT write that into your plot when the connection is so obviously there? I guess it would've meant writing Pharma as more of a vengeful mech seeking punishment for his captor and not as an insane selfish doctor, and I guess that just wasn't what we were after.

Not too sure if you keep up with jp twst updates but have you seen the new Halloween update with the fox dude, Honest Fellow? (Yes that's his name, I'm just gonna call him honest John cause his name's an adjective). I am seriously loving how expressive he is, his devious expressions are so good

i am keeping very up to date with what y'all are doing over there and so far i've been delighted by the idea that, while half of the school's named population is experiencing a prolonged hatecrime in a french catholic school, the other half will be running away to nonconsensual join a circus led by a catboy and nick wilde's humansona. i don't know enough about him to have any major thoughts, but rollo was so fun and it seems like they'll be going just as hard for this event as they did for the glorious masquerade. any event with an ortho ssr is bound to slap and i have no reason to doubt that honest fellow (because i refuse to disrespect such a brave naming choice) will contribute to that.

i don't usually read translations for events but i think i might at least find a summary or something, this time. there's just something about a deceptively charming ringleader with a habit of luring people into his pocket-reality fantasy land that feels like it would go really well with what i do here.
