I still find it funny that people call eleven a "deadbeat husband" and their marriage "toxic" but twelve is the "perfect husband" and their marriage "wedded bliss" all because of the few moments we'd seen between 11 and River were them being "toxic". yes of course! let's ignore how the minisodes show how that description isn't true and even how little moments in the episodes themselves – "what? that's it?" (why haven't you kissed me goodbye? are you being sly on purpose so I'd kiss you first?) and "they wouldn't bury my wife out here" and the music room is the heart of the home and it's not a ghost story, it's a love story – show 11 cared and put in the work and yes, they're going to have disagreements like the ones in TATM because duh who doesn't but it does not mean it is the entirety of their relationship but people have taken it and made it the entirety of their relationship.

I'm watching chain of pronouns and idk if the phrasing in birth by sleep was intentional but it sure is neat.

the amount of stuff sora just Does Not Remember about riku though... (and we're not even getting into the meteor shower and the KH3 sacrifice)

the ending is so interesting because namine likens the un-remembered promise to the good luck charm that sora was already able to recognize. but ultimately, I think the good luck charm isn't related to the promise. because if sora was able to recognize the charm and return it to its original form, and the promise was "chained"/linked/associated to that charm, then he should've already remembered the promise namine was talking about.

I think it's popular opinion in the necklace theory that the charm was supposed to be the crown necklace, but I think it's a red herring. the charm already changed to the wayfinder charm when sora remembered. so it's not related to the meteor shower memory. it's supposed to serve as an example of what could happen if he remembers the promise namine said he forgot. imo!

so chain of memories (a game released in 2004) promises us a "thank namine" scene and that there's a precious promise that's waiting to be remembered, because doing so will unlock everything else sora has hidden in the shadows of his heart. okaaayyyy. okay okay okay. okay.

I was just thinking and... Artemis is not kind. yes, for all his friendliness, and all the fancy and amicable language and behaviors he displays outwardly to just about everyone who enters his shop... he's not genuinely nice. Artemis is a demon. in any verse of his, he used to be something akin to a spirit/god of LOVE, but was twisted into Wrath, or Hatred - which is the opposite. After leaving the pits of hell, having his little demonic tantrum and breakdown and finally growing weary and finding some semblance of clarity, he's grown out of what he was once again, and became something new. He's still wrathful, hateful, angry, and morose, but now he's so much more without even realizing. He's evolved and will continue to do so over time even if he stagnates for decades, centuries even. The friendships and relationships with other muses that he develops will influence his personality and the way he views things in time, as we've seen it happen already countless times ofc! And for those who did earn his respect and care, he does truly care for them and would gladly go out of his way for them (to what degree depends entirely on the level of closeness). But again.... Artemis is not kind, by nature and he hasn't been for a very, very long time. He was genuinely just plain and simple EVIL He was a villain - a monster, unrecognizable to how he acts now- doing horrible, unspeakable deeds for the pleasure of it. It's how he got the bones he wears in and on his body. So while he might be polite, charming even, and friendly - if he does not know you... he doesn't care about you nor what happens to you. If say for example, he sees you wandering that ruined cityside he lives in - rampant with entities that prey on the Living - and he saves you from being taken by evil spirits or demons? Chances are good that he did it for himself, or to be spiteful - to deny the other entities their prize (you / your soul). If he doesn't know you, the likelihood that he'll go out of his way for you is very low. But if there's something in it for him, some kind of reason as to why it might be worth his time and energy to actually step in... he might! But like all demons, it's good to be wary and to assume he doesn't care about you or your well-being, at least at first!! Artemis is not nice, but that doesn't mean he's malicious or cruel (anymore. not intentionally - he's quite literally under the mindset that he's just 'too old and tired for that nonsense'.) Artemis is manipulative, charming, cunning - he's everything you expect from a demon (though without a host, so he's certainly not attractive in any semblance of a conventional manner lmao - but he dresses well! and I think it's also telling just how-- *gestures at all that* --that he actually is, considering he's NOT attractive... but still puts people at ease, mostly, and can charm them to hell and back if he wanted to. He uses that not to manipulate people per say ?? like, he does not have an evil agenda by any means. He's just existing at this point, distanced from the gods and devils and just living his... life(?) if you can call it that. He's TRYING to do better. But he's still just... a demonic entity. A greater demon, for sure, if he had to be equated to some kind of level or whatever, but a demon nonetheless. But even for demons, there can be growth! and he is growing, very very slowly.

honestly small but daily reminder that as long as it's not creepy/illegal its great to ship whatever you want! doesn't matter if it's two characters who have never even met before or the most popular ship in your fandom, if it brings you joy and you enjoy writing it, don't be ashamed of doing so.

I actually like the last chapter. I think the ideas are very good. I have my qualms on how some things were managed, as I always do, but I think shonen authors get tangled in the expectations of a shonen to the point it jeopardises their writing, often even when they're not lacking in skills

alright, i have come here to discuss something tonight and that topic is: barton still killing every single police officer that bothers him at the docks (except for jim, but i swear that's just for plot purposes. okay... nah 🫠 it's not lmao BUT moving on) and hating law enforcement in general + vigilantes, BUT with the new added context that he has a partner who he found out is a vigilante? well... i'm just here to say that it makes me think that doing mental gymnastics is just a daily practice for barton at this point LOL

but that's okay, because his vigilante partner is genuinely slay in his eyes + worth it. and thus, anyone who dares try to call him a hypocrite for being with her will be smacked halfway to tuesday so ❤️ (the heart essentially means don't do it JSJSJ ☠️ not to say that i would expect that anyone here would do it OFC though y'all know what i mean (,,: and oh, the mun who portrays the vigilante character that i'm talking about knows who they are tehe MUAH ilyyy)

Tim's feelings toward Dartz is honestly a lot more complicated/complex.

There's a lot of things he's not fully aware of, gaps of scattered information.

He prefers to avoid him where possible and even without knowing anything can to an extent is able to sense that this man holds a lot of power and at the very least Could pose a danger.

Tim would never fully consider him someone he can trust that's for sure and while ready to jump to someone's aid/ get them away from Dartz at the same time he's not about to pick a fight where there isn't one. A cautious eye may be kept - and maybe a gentle word of warning but beyond that if he's not being an active threat he won't necessarily stop a simple conversation - The man does seem to be capable of being civil when he chooses, a hard thing to believe but perhaps even Dartz knows how and when to pick his battles.

Perhaps the greatest part of confusion, and an area that really hasn't gotten much exploration. Is although a bit fragmented and mostly have come in the form of dreams so Tim isn't sure if it's all true/real or not but because of his slight connection to the Dragon!Knight himself he has seen flickers of the past. Fragments of a time when Dartz was a good man, husband, father and king before the Orichalcos came and twisted him.

Now whether any part of who he was before still remains somewhere in the man now is highly up for debate but you know maybe it could mean a potential for change.

(Important to note, change doesn't mean forgiveness obviously and preferably he serve some kind of consequence/punishment for what he's done.

And even if Dartz were to change and prove that he's changed/wants to be and do better ect I mean Tim ain't about to go be his friend anytime soon nor would he really expect anyone else aware of or otherwise having been affected by his actions too either)

While there's no excusing Dartz' actions knowing others who have been affected by that powerful, corrupting magic maybe he just needs someone/something to help fight back against it you know. Of course whether he can or not is entirely dependent on Dartz himself at the end of the day.

Some days I think I probably do need an actually trained service animal for mental health crap + the occasional chronic crap affecting my mobility.

But like…I don’t really want a dog. I want a Highly Trained mainecoon or norwegian forest cat. Just. This very large very fluffy very baseline breed intelligent cat known to take on BEARS (or, home invaders and men attempting SA).

I’d be THAT Crazy Lady walking this giant fluff monster most days, but other days just have my lap full of fluff when my hips-down don’t want to cooperate, or I need the comforting weight and fluffy company to hold the brain static at bay.

And some days…look. It hurts to grasp things. Or I risk dropping things. And cats can and will open cupboards and drawers if the handles let them hook their paws Just So to make up for the lack of opposable thumbs.

(Yeah yeah I know people are more accustomed to training dogs for this, but I’ve had quite a bit of luck training my “just housecats” as adults with various things, and people post the adventures they take with their mainecoons like, all the time…so think of what I could do with socializing and training a cat if I had the chance to do so.

(…also I just get along better with cats than dogs. They’re more tolerant to my need to not have a true routine. Also they poop in a box.)
