I apologize if this is becoming boring but I am just thrilled over and over by how well our article discrimination is going. We did like 6 reps this evening, up to 4 cold articles, and she is nailing it every time, bringing it to me joyfully. I feel like this is such a great way to reinforce the work we have been doing on retrieves, and they're happily informing each other. She goes SLAMMING into the pile to search, is starting to search really intentionally...it's just like. Amazing. Especially because I've never been able to find any success with scent skills, this is blowing my mind.

she used to be a huge swiftie, humming "blank space" and "champagne problems" 24/7 and whatnot, but now she knows that taylor swift did not use her power to help innocent people, help a community facing genocide. she stopped listening to her songs, and lana del rey's, stopped getting KFC.

I’ve been thinking.

I remember earlier this year when I finally was brave. When I decided that today is MY day.

Today is the day that I cut someone off. A toxic friend. Today is the day that I choose NOT to be the helpless victim. This time, I’ll be the one who leaves and not the one who’s left.

I was shaking after I wrote to them. I was almost crying. But I had done it and it took a lot of strength too do it, but it was done.

I felt a weight fall off my shoulders, wondering: why haven’t I ever tried solving unhealthy relationships like these on my own before?

And it hit me. I HAVE done it before.

With my dad.

And when I think back to it, I realise how proud I am of young me. Naive, selfless, scared, brave little me. Who managed to break free from her own father.
